I would never dine at a restaurant that is owned by a bully.

Edit: unbelievably bad consistency. I got a large pizza that was basically a small pizza on a large crust. 3 of edge had no toppings. Calzone has barely anything in it. What a difference between this time and last time. When people take food away you gotta make sure its right, you cant send garbage out the door like that. Calzone was also overcooked. Owners, Im new to maple ridge. You just lost what would have been a long-time customer. Previous review: Excellent pizza and calzones. They load up the cheese and toppings. The dough tastes super fresh. Love it.

We ordered a large half ham and pineapple and half pepperoni pizza to go and when we got home we noticed it was all pineapple and pepperoni mixed together and no ham. I was starving so I took a bite of the crust and my finance called them to explain our situation. They said they wanted the pizza back and that they can give us a discount on a new pizza and would not make us a new one for free since my fiance said I already picked at it. We were both extremely upset as this is not what you do when YOU make a mistake with a customers food order. My fiancé went in and gave them the pizza back and asked for a refund, which we got but it was EXTREMELY disappointing the way they handled things. We stopped coming here because the pizza quality wasn t the same as it once was but I wanted to give them a try again since it had been a long time. Needless to say, we will never come here again and we will let our friends and family know as well.

Probably the worst customer service in Maple Ridge, mistakes happen with misreading bills in the kitchen but how its handled after shows the true nature of the staff and owners. After calling within 5 minutes of leaving the store to let them know of a major error on our pizza and that we picked at it to ensure we were right with the mistake and checking the bill it was definitely not what we ordered compared to the bill. We called and were informed they wanted the pizza back, we found this odd but we didnt want it anyways. We were then told since we picked at it they would only offer a discou t on a remake and not just fix their cooks error. We ordered a half Hawaiian and half pepperoni and got a pepperoni pineapple pizza instead. Ive never heard of the business practice of charging a customer to remake their kitchens mistake. I have the full exchange on video incase this business wants to discredit me in anyway or does not want to take ownership of this horrible business practice. Ill leave this in their hands but the have lost my familys business after 30 years. The old owner never would have allowed this poor customer service and its sad to see this place run like it is. We will never return. Their current star rating is higher then it should be and will continue to drop. Video will be upload to all the neighborhood Facebook groups to help others not deal with their shady business practices. I really do hope they seek a consultant to fix this place, training in customer relations is much needed, instead they like to argue and say nothing has changed in 40 years.

Horrible customer service

I Ordered 2 for 1 baked lasagna with meatballs and extra cheese. The meat sauce was so watery that it was disgusting to eat. My meatballs were also missing and I called and let them know what was wrong, it was at that point when they told me that they were out of meatballs and forgot to call me and let me know. I paid the full bill at delivery so I paid for the meatballs. Also they don t replace meals or give refunds. An Incredibly frustrating experience and one I won t soon forget. I have long been a customer of Jim s pizza going back to the days of Eva s restaurant. The lasagna and meat sauce dish is one of my all time favourites, the sauce is delicious. There will always be times when an order isn t perfect and I understand that the dine in restaurant is constantly busy just like delivery. Mistakes happen. It is only because I am very familiar with their traditional meat sauce that I wrote this review. I m more than willing now after the response from the owner to give them another chance to get the order right and deliver the lasagna with meat sauce and meatballs that I love. Thankyou for your timely reply to my review. I look forward to ordering again soon.

Went to Aloha Life lounge (upstairs section of Jims Pizza) with a friend and our two toddlers and baby. Server told us to come downstairs each time we wanted to order something because shes soooo busy working alone (which initially I felt bad for her but keep reading). She came up to do something and didnt take our order while she was there. When I came down to order, the restaurant was empty and she was eating something at the desk doing nothing. She would bring our food up and leave it at a table at the top of the stairs silently rather than bringing it to us. When I came downstairs to pay my bill, one of the cooks was sitting with her at the desk chatting with her because it was so dead. He told me to smile more twice which I thought was extremely rude (I was actually not even that pissed at this point and was being kind). TL;DR - Terrible experience with server not wanting to serve so she can sit and do nothing, having to leave my toddler and baby upstairs to order food etc, no customer service or food service upstairs, male cook telling women to smile more, and restaurant not replying to my concern (hoping the server who sits at the desk didnt just delete my email). This was during my second visit that month and I was planning to bring friends there regularly since all my friends have toddlers. First visit with a different server was great and welcoming. Pizza was thick and delicious. I sent an email to Jims Pizza outlining my concerns and received no response.

Very expensive for the quality of the pizza. We ordered the Californian pizza and there was no shrimp included even though shrimp is listed as a topping on the menu. Definitely cheaper and better pizza restaurant options out there.

Though the pizza was pretty good, it was so greasy that it soaked right through the box. Making it impossible to get the pizza out the next day without all the paper stuck to it.

I was told when I phoned the wait would be 90 minutes. It took about that long but it was literally stone cold when it got here. Turns out it sat in the drivers car for most of that time. they gave me a $10 credit for a $70 bill. Not good enough for the long wait and cold pizza.

Amazing pizza - don t know what s up with the negative reviews. I don t dine in so I can t comment on that - but the pizza itself is amazing. Also been to a couple of kids birthdays here - apparently its priced very well and is a nice venue. I ll be taking my son here on his first birthday in September of this year 100%

Local pizza an Italian dishes....didnt comment on atmosphere...order in ...good food..yummy chicken wings ...alot of food...good flavor...only thing need mention...the price guide is need updated...was a bit more pricey than expected...but works out if good dining experience..worth a look in case people havent noticed this place yet...got full ...looking forward to cheesecake later on.

Update: Feb 27, 24 Horrible baked (what cheese???) lasagna tonight for $22.00! Dry cold gross garlic bread too! This place used to be the best but its gone hugely downhill! $60 for very disappointing lasagna, and a mediocre pizza?? HARD PASS from now on....too bad! Pizza is still great pizza, but not as good as it used to be. It seems to be inconsistent these days, Some days, its really great, and others, its kind of just eh and overly greasy.

what the hell happened to jims pizza ,been ordering from here for 30 plus years ,seems hit a miss some times ,last night (sat mar 10/24) ordered the usual , one of the pizzas completely wrong ,as we live 20 mins away ,its a 40 to 50 min round trip ,called them they said it would be 2hrs before they could do any thing ,told us next time they would look after us with the original pizza we ordered ,call next time only to be told all they could do was a 10 $ credit ,at least me n eds is in town no

worst pizza and customer service i ve had in maple ridge. the food was edible bit mediocre for the price. the pizza tasted like a frozen one, and the pasta sauce tasted like ketchup. when i brought up my concerns over the quality of a $150 order i was offered a $10 credit. trust me there are much better pizza options in maple ridge

So very disappointed and will never order from Jim s pizza again. February 17 ordered 2 large pizza because I had people coming over. We threw one large out because the crust was raw and the meat smelt rotten! I tried calling and messaging machine had a message from the 12th. Never again!

I think they need another lesson from the previous owner of how to make pizza. Undercooked doughy with minimal ingredients . Very disappointing from a 45 year customer. I m a truck driver and was broke down on the highway, these wonderful people took a chance and sent me a delicious pizza and delivered it to me on the side of the highway to my broken down rig. Delivery driver was spot on and friendly and just two thumbs up for the service

We were seated right away and brought waters. 10 minutes later we were able to order. We were also the only table in the restaurant so 10 minutes is a painfully long time to wait to order. my daughter wanted Carbonara but they were out.. My ravioli tasted like Chef Boyardee with good cheese on top. service was somewhat friendly but far too slow. our meal and experience did not match the $71 for 3 people price tag. Gave it a shot even with word that its not as good since the original owners sold. unfortunately, they were right.

Pizza has definitely gone downhill. Ordered the ham and pineapple as always and now is totally a different pizza. From the crust to the toppings. Wont be ordering from them again.

You need to update your website and hours on google as we placed an order, arrived for p/u and the restaurant was closed! Extremely disappointing!! Definitely not the experience we would have had with the previous owners!

Best pizza I ve had in ages!

I have ordered in the past, and the food is old school pasta that we use to get, and its at reasonable price. The pizzas are pricey for what you get, just not consistent on the cook. ugh!. But my biggest issue is. I have just called to get a couple of baked pastas and their answering service says theyre closed. Yet their web page says theyre open and this isnt the 1st time this has happened, Rather disappointing when i have that baked pasta craving.

The pizza was good. In fact, it was very good when it was served by the child minding service upstairs. When I had my pizza delivered, there was something wrong with the cheese. I couldnt get through the first piece. However, the males in my family did not notice the distinct taste change and voila. No pizza was left.

Just left jims pizza. Their debit didnt accept my card, wouldnt even let me put in my pin. Instead of giving me the pizza they told me too bad. I asked if she could out it in my account a d I would pay next time...nope. I waited 35 min for it too. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I will not be back and will make sure to tell everyone not to go.

We ordered a couple pizzas to eat in. I really enjoyed the thick crust and lots of toppings but the kids thought the amount of cheese in the cheese pizza was a bit much. The service was very kind and polite but they are pretty casual and easy going so dont expect a rush, there werent many tables seated when we arrived early evening for dinner but it did take a while to be seated and order. Overall I enjoyed it and would go again.

Everytime we order it gets better and better. You never disappoint. If you want a pizza with cheese its cheese like cheese is free. The crusts are like they time warped in from the best pizza joint you ever went to when you were a kid and the slices are as big as science text book. Biggest best wings ever. Ever since the new people took over ,the quality of food is not up to Jims standards. The hamburger in pasta tastes low grade like dog food, and Ive tasted canned hamburger before.

Jims Pizza in Maple Ridge has impressed me each time I have been in. The pizza is amazing, its very rich and flavourful - and definitely not thin crust! If youre familiar with Olympia on Denman Street in downtown Vancouver, this is very similar to their pizza in all the best ways. If you are a crust person, you will absolutely die for this style. In my opinion the crust is the best part! The toppings also taste delicious and fresh. I highly recommend the #11. The meatballs and fried zucchini also make excellent starters. The portions are generous so expect leftovers to take home. Cant wait to go back.

Absolutely horrendous customer service. We pre ordered for 7pm delivery for a birthday. Pizza arrived at just after 6. When we called to see what happened the lady said I put 7pm on the ticket so idk what to tell ya I didn t want the pizza to go to waste and have them remake it for the correct time (even though the birthday girl wasn t even here yet!) so I asked if there was any way she could offer a discount for me to take these early? She said all she could do was $5. Ridiculous. Don t offer pre orders if you can t read times on the order!! This is the second time this has happened! Maybe get an online ordering system like every other place. We will never order again.

First things first we waited for a table for 2 hours and they didnt tell us it was a 2 hour wait. Workers were very rude and food took so long to get to our table. Sat down to have dinner with a group of 4. Everything we wanted to drink they were out of that day, having not gotten their liquor order in. It wouldnt have been a problem had they told us about it before sitting down. Hearing were out of that on repeat gets frustrating really fast. Server was not knowledgeable about their recipes or the food they serve, she didnt even know what bechamel was. Half the time she seemed confused. Service was slow. Food was not good. Dough was tasty but we found it to be too thick, and the ingredients were not great, and just wayyyy too many as well. Pick up an italian pizza cook book and I guarantee youll see 3-4 fresh toppings on any pizza, not 8 mediocre ones. Pizza was way too salty as well. The only thing that saved this review to rate 2/5 stars for food were the sauteed mushrooms, which were great. We ate most of the pizza because we were hungry and every other place was either even worse, or booked solid, but the pizza was mediocre at best. We will not be back.

Its always so cold when dining in, you have to eat with all your winter gear on. I find the pizza sauce rather bland although the rest of the pizza is great!!! Just needs a little something more I think.

If you can get a pizza delivered in under an hour, it might be fantastic. Unfortunately those two in combination have been few and far between. Will not be ordering from here again, its a waste of time.

We like the food. We ordered Royal, Spinach, fries and wings. My only complaint is that when I was waiting for someone to take my order, the person behind me in the line was taken care of and I had to wait, and it was not just one time! Three times m, three different persons asked the lady behind me if she is ok, then someone could make time to ask me what I need.

Ordered a medium Jim s Royal pizza and added ground beef. Was a delicious pizza. Ordered for pickup was 25 minutes like they said. However the cost is a little on the extreme side for a pickup medium pizza! $33.33! Can t justify that price for a weekly order of pizza. Sorry that s a deal breaker for me.

We used to be regulars at Jim s Pizza until recently, when they delivered us the wrong pizza. The box had our order number marked on it, but the pizza inside was not what we ordered. We called to notify the restaurant that we had received the wrong pizza, and we were told to expect a call back in 10 minutes. 25 minutes later we call back to follow up, and we were told that there was nothing that could be done for us and that we would have to speak to the owner the following day. We asked if it was possible to remake the pizza and offered to pick it up. We were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. When we arrived to pick up the remade pizza and drop off the one that we received in error, we encountered a rude front of house staff member; not mildly rude, but likely the rudest person I have ever encountered in a customer facing role. When we inquired on the status of our remake pizza, we were told that it was just being remade, despite the fact that it was supposed to be ready. Although we enjoy the pizza from Jim s, the level of customer service is extremely poor, and we unfortunately can no longer support them; very disappointing for sure.

Gave 3 because my boyfriend loves the pizza. I ordered the baked ravioli and was so disappointed (for the second time-always try again). The sauce was so watery and was like eating a ravioli with no sauce as nothing stuck to the pasta. Chunks of meat and onion, no sauce, just water. Definitely needs a thickener to establish body and a better base. Pizza is amazing .just won t order the pasta again . :-(

As a disclaimer, we did not try the pizza. However, the ravioli was a disappointment. No better than canned raviolis. They do add quite a lot of cheese on top but still no flavour. Waitress was good.

This place has gone down hill since the new owners have taken over. I ve been ordering from Jim s for 30 years, they used to have the best pizza in town. Now it s completely different. The last 3 times we ve ordered, the quality is not what it used to be. I keep saying it will be better next time but it never is. The crust is different , the toppings aren t the same and it is over cooked. The pasta is greasy and has a lack of flavour. I will never be ordering from there again, I M DONE ! SAVE YOUR MONEY!

We went here last night for the first time. We loved it. The food was excellent. The wings are delicious. The lasagna has so much flavor and huge portions. The pizza is so fresh and loaded with toppings.. and the fries are amazing. It is so family friendly and the service was on point. We will definitely be back soon.

Came here for the Santa Parade. Awesome place to keep warm and view the show. Nicely decorated for Christmas. They had specials on so my husband enjoyed the Jim s Royal pizza- SO GOOD. My daughters had cheese pizza, which was delicious. Fully staffed; great friendly service. They were outside too serving up hot pizza. We will definitely order here again. New ownership is fantastic. I moved to Maple Ridge in 2017 and Jims has been getting better every time I order. The new owners have done a great job. Im really excited for the renovations to be completed for some great dine-in experiences. ps - best calzones around!!

Our first experience with Jims pizza was fantastic. We ordered delivery, which came as stated around an hour. The pizza was delicious, loved the crust... The wings were 2 for 1 and were phenomenal. We will definitely order here again and would love to dine in next time.

Pizza was fantastic. Quantity was also spectacular. Very heavy pizza. Delish. Dry rub wings were also good, just a tad bit on the salty side. Avoid the lasagna though. One star dropped because of the lasagna. Service was excellent. This restaurant has been recently renovated recently.

Best home made pizza in town

After living in Maple Ridge for 5 years, my husband and I finally decided to try Jims Pizza & the Lookout Restaurant last night. I ordered the vegetarian pizza, he ordered the baked ravioli. Both were amazing! The pizza was loaded with toppings, and the crust was perfect. The baked ravioli was delicious, and the portion size was enough for left overs. The service was excellent, food was great, we cant wait to come back and try more!

First time eating here tonight. I ordered steamed spaghetti (meat sauce + meatballs) hubby ordered pepperoni pizza. I got baked spaghetti instead, but thats ok. I dont mind, they charged me for the steamed so thats good. It was absolutely delicious (both our meals) service was just ok, nothing special. Also ok with that. My spaghetti was $15 (reasonable) hubbys large pizza was ($25) a bit steep for pizza but to be expected as its not pizza hut. Decor/building was VERY outdated lol some things really made me laugh. Needs an update for sure. Will definitely be a returning customer though!

New ownership are doing great things for a classic downtown MR spot. They go above and beyond for there customers. I reccomend Jims 2 anyone looking for classic comfort food.

Love the pizza here! It s so fresh and delicious! It s always a treat when we eat here. Don t let the prices to sizes of pizzas throw you off, one of their medium pizzas fills you more than stacking two Panago mediums on top of each other. Always happy with the service and food!

Saw all the reviews so thought we would try it. We love to support local, but very expensive and not the best pizza. We found it very greasy, weird flavours on the base, which spoilt the taste. We did not get everything we ordered and when the extra turned up, the delivery driver was rude and she did not even offer an apology, in fact did not even speak, literally throwing the bag at us. The pizza was not bad, but will not order from here again. Staff on the phone were great, but let down by the pizza quality and delivery staff service.

Ordered for the first time tonight. I got a good feeling after speaking with the girl on the phone. The pizza was amazing and piping hot on pick up. Im from Arizona and own a pizza place. Well be ordering from here again in the near future. Thank you very much.

New BEST pizza in Maple Ridge! Super picky about our pizza and thought we would try since Jims is under new ownership, so glad we did toppings are generous without being overboard and great crust. Lasagna is good also and LOVE the garlic bread. Definitely reccomend.

The fried chicken is unbelievable, hidden gem, best fried chicken in town hands down. Good to hear the new owners are keeping the same recipe and plan on updating/renovating

Best pizza ever!!!! But I was seriously disappointed that the honey garlic wings changed. It was the best wings I ve ever had... now gone. Bring back the old wings and I d increase my review.

Posting as not a customer but as someone who served there when I was quite young, my experience here was absolutely horrendous. Hours are horrible, technology non existent. The owner started yelling at me and slamming his knife against the wall next to my face because I admitted I didnt know the answer to a question he asked.. But i hadnt been trained on that aspect of the job. I quit my second week there and they tried to fire me after. The only people who continue to work there are people who really have no other option. Tip your servers well folks because theres no telling what goes on behind the swinging door.

Good pizza but TOTAL RIP-OFF on the price... $30 for a medium size pizza? Will NEVER go back. Lots of better places for less money

Been ordering from their delivery menu for years and have never been disappointed. Love the pizza! Little pricey but packed, full, of toppings and gooey cheese, well worth it.

Used to love the lasagna but had the meatless sauce and it was horrible. Tasted like tomato paste that was watered down. Hope you can work on a better alternative beacuse it was awful and we threw it away

Very thick pizza, not a deep dish, but its thick. The toppings were tasty too, and the chicken wings were some of the best pizza place wings Ive ever had, these chicken must have been the size of great Danes because the wings were massive. Also the dips you can get are much larger then average.

Ive always been extremely happy with my order every single time I order from Jims Pizza. The lasagna has never let me down. The wings are absolutely delicious and the pizza is the best they use so much awesome toppings and you can tell that they do it with love and care. I wish there was 10 Stars. We have only lived in Maple Ridge a short time, we decided too try Jims after reading the reviews. The staff that we spoke too were friendly even the customers at the table were very nice, unfortunately we were not a fan of the pizzas that we ordered, the Greek fire was very dry and the pepperoni bacon was not what we liked. I think the next time we order we will try something different.

Just moved to the area and thought I d support local. We decided to pick up and service was great but not only was this overpriced but it was one of the worst pizza experiences I ve had. Never again.

An awesome experience! The lady serving us was so helpful and very knowledgeable. My steak and Lobster was better than the Keg! Especially in comparison to price, quality and quantity. My mom had the lasagna with meat sauce and mushrooms and husband had the same but added pepperoni. Both of them raved and mom who rarely will eat her dinner out and is picky ate half of it till she was full... thats a testimony to how good their food is! Recommend this Restaurant to anyone! Huge menu to satisfy the pickiest of eaters.!

First time going and was impressed with the pizza

We ordered from here for 5 years and called tonight as both the tops our pizzas were brown and burnt so much so that the double cheese was crispy and essentially gone. I called to ask for 2 new pizzas and was told that they were not burnt and if I wanted to bring them back and get my money back to do so. I asked to speak to the manager who awnsered the phone saying very busy if your not happy bring it back and hung up on. I brought the pizza back and the staff took my pizza to the back to show the manager who apparatlety was the owner as well some old miserable man who wouldnt come out to speak to me or look at the pizza... I was so shocked I went into the kitchen in tears telling him I didnt deserve to be treated like that he opened the pizza box and said the next ones just going to be the same so you might as well leave ... worst Ive ever been treated in my life at an establishment

We ordered a pizza 2 hours ago it finally arrived and it was cold . They told me it would be an hour .... After I called to complain the staff there told me I had to bring it back to the restaurant... there is a reason I ordered delivery . Thats a terrible business model . I was hung up twice after multiple attempts to talk to management . If you want cold pizza order from these guys . If you want hot pizza dont call Jims.
