Got the chicken strip poutine. The chicken strips were horrible quality and tasted bad. The gravy had 0 flavor and was not hot enough. The fries were bomb tho! EDIT- I see some are saying the chicken strip poutine is 12$?! we paid 17$!!!!!
Unfortunately, the new recipe for the gravy is not good. We used to travel far and wide to get Big Reds, Now the portion was half the size and the gravy was weak and no longer authentic poutine gravy. Such a shame. We won't return.
Loved the chicken stripes I ordered at the PNE my friend ordered the classic poutine and he also enjoyed it. I'll definitely come back for more!
Got the classic poutine the other day at the luminary festival in North Delta from this truck and I was very disappointed. Gravy tasted old and It was very small for what it cost. The classic poutine was $13 and all I have to say was it was super small. Such a rip off. You could get TWO big and very filling poutines at costco for the price of what big reds costed. I 100% wouldn't recommend getting it ever again. Waste of money and time.
I ordered the chicken strips poutine. It came with only a few pieces of chicken. The cheese curds were cold and unmelted. Only decent part was the fries that were hot and crispy. I would not recommend this place. Overpriced and terrible quality.
Recently tried them at the PNE fair. It was beyond disappointing. I don't know how one can manage ruining such an easy dish, but it was honestly the worst poutine I've had. The fries were undercooked, crunchy (but not in the way you'd hope), and cold middles. The gravy was SO sad. It was the bland-est gravy I've ever had. There was no flavour. The cheese curds were good, they obviously were store bought. I am NOT one to normally complain, but if the lineup wasn't so long I 100% would have returned it. For $13+ I would have expected something atleast edible. I tossed it out after 3 bites, my friends who tried it also urged me to return it. Wouldn't return again.
Had their poutine at the PNE and can’t say I’ve ever been more disappointed in a poutine… it was cold and the cheese curds were just not it. Also pepper in the gravy? Really?? Yikes.
We tried Big Red's at the Abbotsford Airshow. Loved their Beef Chicken Poutine. In fairness, I like the texture, crisp not soggy. HOWEVER, the sauce quantity was not enough to cover the entire box of fries, didn't reach the middle and bottom. Could you please be generous with the gravy from now on? I would definitely try again.
I booked them for a corporate event. Staff was friendly and responsive, and everyone agreed the food was excellent. Highly recommended!
I recently attended a event with this food truck and I was pleased to see it. The food was great, I personally dont love the sweet fries though they are authentic Quebecian, which is the only reason for my 4 star food review. The service was good no complaints. Overall I would come back next time.

Absolutely love the poutine you served for our wedding in July! It was a hit with all of our guests. By far the most professional truck I got a quote from with follow ups and organization.
Had them booked for three separate days for a Pumpkin Patch. They cancelled last minute day one because forecast called for a chance of rain (ended up being cloudy and very busy). The remaining two days they didn t show up at all with no notice.
I tried to order online but the site would not work. Drove there and, although the menu is just 8 different flavors of poutine, they didnt have the one I wanted. Chose from what they had available, the menu on the screen was super hard to read. Was told that would be ready in 5 minutes, I timed over 20 minutes waiting - on a poutine! Family that order after me got their order before me, which I think is pretty unfair. After the waiting, thought I would enjoy the sausage poutine, but when I got home, my surprise: not a single piece of meat. Ill assume they got my order wrong, which is remarkable since they didnt look very busy at all. Overall very disappointing, would not come back and would not recommend. Way overpriced for what youre getting. Costco poutine is 4 times cheaper and 5 times faster, and tastes pretty much the same. 2 stars go for friendly service and the poutine was not bad, it was nothing special. Thank you

Your food truck should change dry rib poutine to deep fried breading that technically has rib in it poutine . Even the poutine itself is disappointing for the price
We went to a local craft fair and Big Reds was there. First time ordering from them. We got an order of fries and gravy and two orders of chicken strip poutine. Can t screw that up right? Well it was gross. Both orders of the chicken strip poutine was burnt!! Not just a tad over cooked but it was black. The chicken strip was diced up and put on the fries. It was not even 1 chicken strip per poutine. We tried peeling off the burnt batter of the chicken strip but the whole meal now had a burnt taste. 12$ an order and not even a full chicken strip. Not enough gravy to cover the fries or melt the cheese curds. Clearly the deep fryer has not been changed in a while. Not worth it. Won t do it again.

I ordered the Chicken Strip Poutine, Delicious- the chicken was moist, crispy and tasty. Gravy was perfect and the cheese curds were melted perfectly. Prices are fair, servings are generous Parking: It s a Food Truck, they park in a parking lot. Kid-friendliness: My granddaughter had poutine and they were friendly towards her, gave us a few extra napkins
