My wife dragged me in here to have dinner with some friends. I absolutely loved it. I had an 8oz steak and it was cooked to perfection. It was the best dinner I ve eaten in Maple Ridge by far.

Simply the best restaurant in town! Refined tastes with high quality ingredients! Lunch menu has great value! We loved the Prawn Linguine and Smoked Salmon Bennys! Parking: Small parking lot behind the restaurant. There is also street parking.

Let s get the bad out of the way first. It took us almost 30 minutes to get our appy after ordering. To me, this is too long. The server did thank us for our patience but no apology. Minor deal but I m trying to leave an honest review. That was the only bad thing of the night. The food is AMAZING! The wait was worth it for the appy (crispy pork belly) and the entrees came quickly and were also DELICIOUS (scallop risotto and salmon with gnocchi). 5 stars. Won t even take a star off for the slow appy service because the food was all excellent. And the server herself was excellent. And they even brought gluten free bread in the bread basket for my wife.

Food, service and atmosphere are all 10/10. I recently tried their margarita flight this summer and couldn t even pick a favourite from the four. I really hope to try their brunch one day as I hear it s delish!

So, this is my go-to spot for date nights and Corporate dinners when I have visitors from out of town. Here s my experience today, called when website states it s open.. no one answers.. left a voicemail asking about a reservation.. no one called me back.. So I drove down there to see what s going on as I don t expect it to be full on a Wednesday evening, turns out the restaurant is closed to film some terrible Christmas movie that ZERO people are going to watch, just some random woman outside gave me the news. So I don t have confidence in this restaurant anymore and will never go back. So if you want a restaurant that treats its loyal customers like second class citizens for the wonderful movie industry with its overpaid workers blocking our roads, closing down our local businesses to film boring terrible Netflix movies this is your place. P.S definitely fake reviews here from local guides posting reviews the same day this restaurant was closed and closed the two days prior.

Good brunch. We had the mushroom carbonara and prime rib bennies, both very good. The guava mimosa was also tastie. Very friendly and professional staff

My fiancé and I had dinner this past Saturday night at this lovely restaurant. We booked during Maple Ridge s 150th Anniversary and it was so busy for the closed street event. We also arrived 45 minutes early and planned to wait at the bar before our table was ready. Sam, the manager went out of her way to seat us at our table. Our waitress was lovely and made sure we were comfortable. Keagan, the bar tender also visited us at our table to see if there was anything he could do. We felt at home, unrushed, and well attended to and cared for during one of the busiest nights for the Chameleon. The food was lovely and the service exceptional. We recommend you try this lovely restaurant! Thank you to all the staff who made this night extra special.

Update: the restaurant choose to alter the facts instead of deal with the issues. I used to rave about the Chameleon. It shame to see them go down. .I have has great experiences prior, but the food and service was very poor. It took 45 minutes for our drinks and an hour and 20 minutes for the bread and our meals were closer to an hour 40. We were a table of eight. The three that had the cauliflower steak, loved it. Three of us had the seafood risotto were not. Out of the three seafood in it, they were out of clams and the muscles were so small and dried out...pretty much non-existent. The prawns were perfect. The tenderloin was chewie for $50. The 20% gratuity was an insult for the service, especially as for a Friday, the place was dead empty. Way over priced for service and food.

First time visiting this restaurant and what a gem! Love the outdoor patio. Started off with a really tasty Sangria! Highly recommend. Best hamburger I have ever had. I think it s the special sauce they put on it. Finished off with a crème brûlée for dessert. Waiter was so friendly. Will definitely be back!

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant with my family, and it was an excellent experience. The place is very clean, and the food is perfect. The decor is awesome, adding to the great ambiance. Our server, Kegen, was very nice, and all the food arrived quickly. We really enjoyed our meal. I havent been to Chameleon for a couple of years, felt the quality had gone down. Decided to go for dinner to try it out again (as Ive been hearing great things), and wow everyone is right. They have really stepped up the menu, it was absolutely delicious, great cocktails and the BEST ESPRESSO MARTINI. We shared truffle fries, tuna crudo, beat & goat cheese salad, and saffron seafood risotto. Walked away very impressed. The cherry on top was the excellent service from Keagan, Bar Manager. He did talk a big game about his espresso martini, I was skeptical, well he blew it out of the water!! Cant wait to go back :) The only negative is I wish they didnt change their bar, feels a little too open, not as intimate as it once was, but thats a small thing.

They did really well with the intense Canada Day sudden influx of customers. The food is great. Our table ordered a lot of different items and they all turned out delicious.

I feel like I have stepped into a downtown 5 star restaurant every time we go to Chameleon! The quality of food is always consistent and delicious, along with the service from the staff. Truly, we have never had a bad experience at this restaurant. I highly recommend & especially if you enjoy nice cocktails! Their drinks are BY FAR the best in Maple Ridge. 5 Stars all around.

Pathetic experience right from reserving a table till about the bill payment. I don t understand the logic behind collecting the credit card details and charging a no show fee. They will only wait for 15 mins from the time of reservation for your arrival and obviously they will open the table for someone else. So, what s the necessity to charge a no show fee. Are they running a clinic or a restaurant?? There you have it, a downright fraud restaurant. Now the ambience, god seriously a 3rd class restaurant will have better chairs, table and ambience. The place wasn t busy at all and that too for a Saturday evening. The menu had nothing but a bunch of pathetic items to order. Hardly anything to choose. Food, some of them were under cooked and they wouldn t want to correct it even when we shared our dissatisfaction. One server, one at the bar running the whole drama. Read all the good reviews and hoped to take my family for a special night and this is what I get. NOPE!! Total disaster!!! EDIT: Attaching images of our reservation as these fraudsters are trying to disprove my comments.

Couldn t recommend more! For starters, our server, Keegan, was phenomenal. He went above & beyond in every single way possible. He brought us the bread & oil while we waited which was great. We ordered the mushroom truffle soup (so great), the salmon gnocchi, & a side of veggies. Everything was so freaking delicious it was shocking but Keegan made it all even better. We live in Seattle but travel through the area quite often & when we do, we will 100% make a point to come back! Even at the end, Keegan remembered we were celebrating a milestone in my career & brought us some sparkling cider to cheers with! Incredible! Genuinely a 12/10 experience & we were smiling the entire time & for the whole night after leaving :) the food is so great, we didn t feel overstuffed or sleepy or anything except fantastic!!! Truly amazing!!!!

What used to be a nice little restaurant in Maple Ridge has effectively imploded on itself the last couple years. My family and I had a very lackluster experience the last couple times we visited. Both times we just sort of chalked it up to a bad day or whatever as we had been coming here for years and it has been great in the past. Yesterday my family (as they always do) wanted to take me out for my birthday. We almost always go to The Keg or Kingfisher so my mum made a reservation at Chameleon to do something different and to give it a shot. Maybe itll be good again right? NOPE. FULL STOP. The place wasnt even busy, but the server they had working failed to even take a drink order within any reasonable amount of time of us being seated. We then had to literally flag her down and make her take our food order after sitting there blankly with empty drinks for about 25 minutes. Never once asked if wed like more drinks, never cleared the empties. Imagine a server not even bothering to take your order. Crazy right? Even a 15 year old at McDonalds gets that concept. We waited. Waited longer. Laughed with the table beside us about how they werent getting served either and checked our watches. 60 minutes and we all had, but one drink. Except my sister, she doesnt drink so she was treated to a glass of hopefully clean water. My mum then went up to the bar and asked what the deal was and long story short the bar manager (who I will say makes good drinks.) Informed us that our orders hadnt even been rung through properly. Im assuming that means not at all. At that point we all left, the table beside appeared to be following. The one redeeming part of this was they comped our drinks and offered us a round, but that was redundant at that point. We ended up going to Kingfisher where they brought us a complimentary charcuterie board right away after hearing about our experience prior and the fact that it was 9pm and we were ravenous at that point. We had great food, great service and know better now than to give Chameleon any more chances. Its all in the name, youll never see the food here cause its never served and the server, like the restaurants namesake, is nowhere to be seen.

5 star luxurious dining in Maple Ridge? Chameleon is the place. As you step into this high-end setting hiding in plain sight, you are greeted by very helpful and caring staff. The menu has some wonderful seasonal creations that the chefs put much care into creating for you. Presentation is always top-notch, and the food is always cooked perfectly. This is in our top 3 favorite fine dining restaurants. Highly recommend for special occasions!

We have wanted to try the Chameleon for a while and it did not disappoint. The front of house staff were friendly and accommodating, very nice ambiance and the food, it was delicious!!! We will be back again.

My wife and I had Valentines dinner on Feb 11 with Darrell Swanson on keys and his sax player nailing it. The music created a warm atmosphere plus over the top service and complements to your chefs made for a memorial evening !! Looking forward to our next visit Food

Visited for happy hour. Had fabulous service from Keegan! He was very attentive & friendly. Food & drinks were wonderful. The happy hour prices were also great! I found that I was quite cold in the restaurant though. That was my only complaint. Would totally recommend.

The service was awesome, but was disappointed with the seafood crepe, never had a baked crepe before, being from Montreal we have amazing creperie restaurants, the seafood was overcooked and not much flavour. I was expecting a little more!

Hi, Before I start I would like to say that it s nothing to do with the people that have served me I went there for the valentines day dinner expecting top notch experience knowing how nice the menu was but also how EXPENSIVE it is. Also the review here seemed to be good enough for myself to get overtly excited about coming to this restaurant. Unfortunately the 400$ we paid yesterday was not worth the experience. The food was okay, I didn t feel like it was exceptional. Couple cheese of a charcuterie board and just few crackers and fruit, a sashimi entré of scallop with a bunch of jalapeño without notice that it would be spicy if you re not used to it lol. The main dish was finally a very nice portion but overall nothing that would make yourself want to come back. The dessert options were basically a cake or crème brûlé which is pretty basic but to my surprise the crème brûlé was the best part of the whole menu. They have mandatory gratuity of 20% which make no sense to me because I barely had seem the servers, barely talked to me and we were a group of 2 . I also wanted to mention that I have never in my life got all my wine paring for my meals to be on the table all at once ! I would usually get the wine pairing chosen as the meal comes in. It was so strange for me to get 4 glasses of wine straight there and also without telling us where the wine is from and a little bit about what you have Is this going to be dry? Sweet? Just nothing. I don t recommend to go there if you have expectations to be treated like you re in a very high class restaurant and have your palette being amazed by the food. Just don t come for events and maybe just enjoy one meal because this was not the Valentines Day I was looking forward to and for that price oh lord I would ve prefer St-Lawrence 10000 times. Have a nice day :D

Last we went for my wifes birthday. Wonderful service. Great food. My wife had the seafood risotto, which had plenty of mussels, prawns and scallops. I had the beef tenderloin with potatoes. The potatoes were sliced very thin and then pressed together. The meat was done just how I like it. Since neither of us were drinking, we were given a nice sparkling cider to finish the meal. We will go back.

One of the most lovely and charming dining experiences of 2023. Updated food and cocktail menu and the mixologist, Keegan (which I hope Im spelling correctly) created some drinks that were comparable to art. Just a beautiful service all around. Intimate atmosphere, attention to details and our group was treated to cheerful, fun and informative service that never crossed over into invasive. We had a wonderful time and will be back again to sample the next set of delights that Chameleon has to offer. Top tier food presentation, fresh ingredients put forth in a bright and vibrant way. Set aside the time to enjoy this and you wont regret it.

My husband and 5 of our children - 3 adults and 2 teenagers - had a birthday brunch at this restaurant. In summary the food was great and we would come again just for that, but the service was lacklustre and awkward AND we paid an autogratuity of 20% because we were a group of over 6. When we arrived for our reservation, the restaurant had one table of 4 seated and nobody else in the place. Some of our observations: 1) We were left waiting several minutes at the door before the waitress acknowledged us. 2) there was no greeting when she finally got to us she simply said, from across the restaurant you can come this way 3) we were initially seated directly beside the only other table in the restaurant - and we noticed they eventually moved to a different table. 4) it was at least 10 minutes before she came to take our drink order at which point we were ready to order our meals. 5) there was almost no interaction with the waitress or explanation or any friendliness. For example, we ordered 5 coffees, she placed 4 empty cups in front of us and 10 minutes later we still had no coffee. It would have helped to know she was preparing French presses for the table. The coffee in the end was great but the presentation was very confusing. I also mentioned that it was my son s birthday - and she stared blankly. We don t expect anything but the lack of any response is an example of the awkwardness of the interaction. 6) she brought out our meals one by one from the kitchen and it took quite a while for the seven of us to get our food. My Eggs Benedict (while delicious) was cold. My daughter had avocado toast but she had forgotten the egg. I ordered bacon and that was forgotten as well. 7) it was another wait to have our plates cleared and also to get our bill. We weren t offered coffee or water refills at any time. For context there were exactly 2 tables in the restaurant / us and 4 people at another table so being slammed did not account for the weak service. I would be willing to try this restaurant again because it was quality food. However, the service put a damper on the experience. 1 star service , 5 star food - if it was served warm.

We have an AMAZING time and meal here tonight!! It was like fine dining in the city of Vancouver but in MR!! So refreshing! Their food was so so so amazing and to perfection!! We did the three course $49 weeknight menu and it was RAVE worthy ...I dont often take pictures of my food but I did!!

This by far is one of the best restaurant dinners in the past year for me. The chef did an amazing job combining textures and flavors and cooking every ro perfection. We started with the beet salad which had a number of different beets with burata cheese. Then we had the duck breast and the short rib and steak combo. Both of these were superb, the short rib melted in the mouth it was so tender you could cut it with a fork the squash puree was amazing as was the potato . The duck breast was tender and the combo of sides of kale and parsnip puree enhanced the duck. We finished with the chocolate torte. The service was also excellent. I would highly recommend have dinner here.

It s nice to be able to go out for a nice dinner like this midweek and nearby. I m and out in an hour and exactly what we needed. I have eaten here 4 times in the last few months. A birthday, a date, a staff party and now tonight. This salmon on wild mushroom risotto is ridiculous!!!! I dream about the tiny little mushrooms that are presented is a light pickle. The whole thing leaves me dreaming about it. Oh!! And the chicken appy was perfect. So full and ready for some downtime. You gotta try this place! Oh! And they have a weekday tasting menu which is epic!

Tasty dishes

Update: We had not been for awhile and tonights dinner was fairly inconsistent. We were no longer greeted with the tasty amuse bouche, is it a thing of the past? Our Charcuterie was ok, I was not a fan of the cranberry compote but thats just my taste. It was definitely lacking toast or crackers . My partners Choizo pasta was delicious and unfortunately my duck breast was overcooked and over salty. I was given the option for a new one but I chose the beef tenderloin which was perfect but the carrots and broccoli were absolutely undercooked. Like rock hard undercooked. I took most of it home, the tenderloin will make a great midnight snack. Oh, the carrot puree was delicious. So, all in all, a few inconsistencies. Maybe its a new back of house. Hopefully next time, the kinks will be ironed out. For a higher end price point, things should go smoothly. Front of house, as always, was delightful. Even though we live only on a few blocks away, my husband and I finally decided to check it out. The food is fresh and locally sourced which is an added bonus. The desserts are heavenly. The back of the house puts out some tasty dishes, I highly recommend the duck. The front of house staff will ask right up front if there are dietary restrictions or allergies. They also made some adjustments for me in regards to their wine flight tasting which was awesome. I have now brought friends and family. I cant wait to do their tasting menu. I highly recommend making reservations, in fact, you should absolutely be making reservations. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and Im looking forward to summer patio season. A true gem in Maple Ridge!

6 of us got together for brunch , was excellent food, friendly staff. I couldnt recommend what food as the brunch menu items werent on the list

We had a reservation at 2 pm on a Saturday but apparently they dont take bookings earlier than 3 pm. They admitted it was a mistake but the way it was handled really put me off. They said their kitchen would anyway accommodate but the way it was executed just made us feel guilty about making the kitchen operate earlier than they should have. This should be a great learning opportunity for the management to reach its staff on how to deal with such situations. Firstly, they should have apologized with sincerity and provided options to retain our business. One would be to insist that it was no trouble at all to accommodate us at that earlier time. OR, could have asked us to wait an hour but would compensate us with maybe some free drinks while waiting. If either option is declined, they should have offered to make it up to us at another time. Finally, there should have been a call back to check in and apologise again. I allowed the restaurant two weeks to make a call back before posting this review but did not receive a call.

This place used to be amazing, rivalling some of the finest places Ive been to downtown or even New York, LA and London. Something happened with staff turnover though. The drinks especially sound like theyre going to be as good as they once were but theyre now kinda blah, and the flavour profiles of the food just arent as sophisticated. Theyve somehow lost their dream team and I dont know if theyll ever fully recover. Its OK but -1 star for blowing up something spectacular.

Our go-to for celebration dinners. Consistently good food, great staff, nice atmosphere, good drink menu / options, and a nice little patio. Our fave spot for nicer meals east of Vancouver. Vegetarian options: Some vegetarian options exist, unsure about vegan. Parking: Free street parking Wheelchair accessibility: Doesnt seem hugely accessible but there are no steps into the main floor of restaurant or to the washrooms.

We stopped in for happy hour over the long weekend. The food and ambiance were great, but the highlight was the drinks. I didnt expect to recreate a gas-town-esque cocktail tasting adventure in Maple Ridge, but thats what happened. Well definitely be back. Highly recommend!

This is a relatively unique restaurant in Maple Ridge. On the pricey side but the food is incredible. The service staff are very courteous and attentive. Its typically very busy so youll need a reservation. I recommend the ribeye and some Frys Parking: Street parking is available depending on the time of the day. There are also spots on the side street.

4th time here...1st time for happy hour. Food and drink are always top notch and service right there too.

Fantastic place for great food and service

Honestly, not that impressed! I feel bad saying that, but this is the second time around we have come here and its been just okay. Servers are attentive, but the food, for the price, left you hungry after. We started with the pork belly appetizer which comes with a whole 1.5 brussel sprouts. The pork belly was almost gummy (stuck to your teeth). It tasted good but otherwise, I wish we didnt order it. The alcoholic drinks were alrightand looked great but the water for your table is tap water. I found the main dishes were too small for the price. After a $150 cheque before tip, I would hope to feel somewhat full and satisfied. I feel bad writing this but I base alot of where we eat out off reviews and I just dont know if I can get behind this one

We were here the other night to celebrate our dear friends anniversary. We had an excellent dinner. The atmosphere is great. The service was excellent. Food was fantastic. I had salmon and my wife had the halibut. Both were delicious. Our friends had the halibut and the duck and raved about them both. From start to finish we had an amazing experience and great food. In my opinion the portion sizes were very good. I give them full marks for everything.

Update: Hands down the best brunch I have ever had.. The Prime Rib Benny is unbelievable!! Garlic potatoes were delicious! Both fantastic flavors, a must try! Drinks were spot on (Ceaser & Guava Mimosa). Excellent service/great experience! Old Post: Bring layers. Was here for happy hour, appies were delicious and drinks were good. Steak was great.

This place is a must try right from start to finish was first class. Keegan our server was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Cocktail s and Wine were excellent. We had the mussels & clams and cauliflower tempura to start. Then the rib eye and the saffron risotto with seafood which I must say was the star, one of the best risotto s that we have ever tasted. Ended with a perfect salted Caramel crème brûlée. The only thing I regret is not taking any photos as the dishes were stunning. Thank you Chameleon for making out date night special. Keep up the good work we will definitely be back.

Great place for fine dining in Maple Ridge

very quaint and idealistic restaurant in the heart of mapleridge but the ambience was completely off - lighting was horrible and could use some word. Service was insanely friendly and inviting, but lacked in timely return. The espresso martinis were FANTASTIC!! BEST, I have ever had!!! The bread that was served is cold and uninspired, the cauliflower was good but very overdressed and needed to be less intense. The beet and goat cheese was very beautifully plated and very good! The tenderloin in my opinion was the best option as it was the most bang for your buck! Perfectly cooked! I HIGHLY suggest the potato pave - a must try! Trust me! Coming to desert, the creme brûlée needs work, as much as we love an inspired take on a classic - you just cannot mess with the original. Too much cinnamon. The restaurant is a definitely good, just a few quirks to touch up!

Best tomato soup Ive ever had

Chameleon was perfect. Perfect food in the cauliflower steak and seafood risotto. Perfect staff, perfect wine flight, perfect desserts.

When it s obvious the server forgot to put your meal in but blames the kitchen. Hard to miss when a couple that came in 45 minutes after you get their meal at the same time you do. Being disingenuous is worse than just owning the mistake. Food was good but in no way will make up for the incompetence. Please don t reach out to make it better to reduce this review s weight. If you go I hope you have a better experience.

Really happy with food and staff

The atmosphere was beautiful and the food was wonderful. The service was top notch as well. Mackenzie was attentive, prompt and had excellent knowledge on the drinks and food we had questions about.

We have had nothing but amazing experiences here. We went tonight for the first time since they reopened for the pandemic and the new menu was phenomenal, the service was exceptional and the atmosphere was perfect. 10/10, we will be back again.

I had a 6:30 seating, but I opted for the regular menu, instead of the four course chefs tasting menu. I had the duo of beef. It had beef short rib and medallions of beef. Served with a mushroom au jus, roasted potatoes, carrots, broccolini, and greens. That was really lovely. The meat was so tender and flavourful. The roasted potatoes were almost caramelized, and just excellent. The veg was yummy. Fill my plate with roasted potatoes and carrots and Im a happy, happy woman. For dessert I had the chefs special offer for the day. I, unfortunately, cant remember the name of it, but it was chocolate mousse with some white chocolate frothed topping and a yummy graham crumble topping. The plating also had some raspberry coulis along with white chocolate dots. Im not usually a chocolate kind of gal, mostly because I have very sensitive tastebuds, and chocolate tends to come off as very bitter to me. This was entirely different. No pucker! Hallelujah! Overall a delicious meal.

If you are looking for upscale dining in Maple Ridge, this is the place. Excellent food and great ambience, Thanks Chameleon, we will be back. Maybe the duck next time ;-)

OMG Delicious! Great upscale option in Maple Ridge.

The service and the attention to detail here is amazing! I booked way in advanced due to vegetarian meal preferences. They take bookings via Open Table. We didnt know what the dishes would be beforehand and it was a pleasant surprise to go through the casear salad (not in picture), Gnocchi pasta and Pear-cinnamon-pistachio-cookie dessert with sips from the Sangria in between meals. Dill in Ceasar salad was a revelation! My tummy and taste buds are both happy tonight. Will be back for more with their changing menus.

Delicious meals, interesting menu. We had a hard time making a choice. Limited wine choices BUT the ones they offer are top shelf. We had the duck and scallops. Both delicious. Spoons in the pics is an amuse bouche on the house. Definitely prepped the palette for a delicious meal. Well be back!

Best food my boyfriend and I have ever eaten. We were left speechless. Chef Chase came out personally to deliver us the dessert he created, which made the experience even more amazing. Absolutely delicious. We did the 5 course meal, which I highly recommend you do as well! This will be my boyfriend and I s new special go-to restaurant. We are already making plans to bring everyone we know here it s just that good!! They also change the menu seasonally so we can t wait to keep coming back.

We were seated quickly on a Saturday night without a reservation. The service was great, our table was tucked in the back of the restaurant, but the staff were still very attentive. The server asked right away if there were any allergies or sensitivities. My husband let them know that he was lactose intolerant and to not worry about it, but they made the effort anyway and we were informed that they had made the amuse bouche dairy free which was a really nice touch. The food was delicious, and the plating was very thoughtful. I ll definitely be back next time I m in the area.

So good. So good. So good! Our first time at Chameleon , and my husband and I both loved it. We tried the albacore tuna, halibut and the duck! All so beautifully plated and delicious. many different flavours in one plate. Can t wait to go back and try more on their menu!

Would love to give a 5 here, I have had 5 star experiences in the past, but I want to provide some gentle feedback for management. First round of drinks was delicious (wine and beer), amouse bouche was great. Appies (pork belly and chicken and waffles) were good, the fried chicken was not crispy but nothing major. Mains (halibut, steak, and duck) varied in quality, halibut left a lot to be desired in flavour and texture. Nothing worth complaining about though, halibut is a mild flavour and a difficult piece of fish to pull off! The lost star here comes from overall service and atmosphere. I do not blame the server/bartender themselves for this at all!! It is very apparent that all of their staff are young and inexperienced in a higher end restaurant. Small things like condescending an elderly relative for asking for steak sauce (there are ways to decline this request without making her feel unsophisticated), delivering French press coffee to my elderly relative without pressing it in advance. We also ordered a b52 coffee (off menu) which tasted like straight liquor, inexperienced bartender who did not adjust the alcohol ratio based on the small coffee mugs. In any other restaurant I would not leave feedback as overall it did not take away much from our experience. I know restaurants are short staff right now, I myself have worked in the restaurant industry for years. My advice to management is to up your hiring pay and seek out servers and bartenders with more high end experience who make all types of customers enjoy a high end dining experience, rather than making them feel belittled for asking how to use a French press or asking for steak sauce. Overall we did have a very good experience and the shortfalls don t prevent us from returning!

We have been customers of chameleon for many years. We ve seen them through many changes. We can honestly say that this restaurant is committed to provided fine and incredible dining. In a community that is limited in options, we love that we can stay so close to home and get a downtown Vancouver quality meal and atmosphere.

This place is Fantastic. I m not one to leave reviews ever. But this place needs to be discovered by more. The atmosphere is wonderful I would never imagined to find a place like this Tucktaway in a place like Maple Ridge. The food is absolutely delicious with everybody you re wondering how they were able to fabricate such a wonderful tasting masterpiece and it s priced fair as well. The Staff was kind and courteous and always on point I highly recommend this to anyone in the neighbourhood

Went last night and had to write a review today. It was awesome! Appies of fried boneless chicken and tomato & burrata salad were on point. Both our meals of duck and short ribs were beautifully displayed, excellent tasting. They pride themselves on local ingredients, bc wines, top service (Ally). Put this restaurant on your list, support local. Totally recommend.

This place is a hidden gem!! Been a couple of times now and both times its been amazing. Great food, cocktails and service. Just wish there was one closer to Coquitlam or Port Moody.

My husband and I love the food here and now go every couple months for the Chefs tasting menu. So delicious! We often do the wine flight pairing and have found a couple new favorites. The service is always fantastic and we love making a special night of it.

My Husband and I had the Caesar like salad to start and the Halibut and Tomatoe Gnocchi for mains both were amazing. Service is always . A wonderful night for our 42 Anniversay. Thanks Chameleon!

We did the chefs tasting and absolutely loved it! everything was delicious! fine dining in a very comfortable atmosphere, the service was good (was a busy night for a thursday) when running behind we were offered a few extra tastings which totally made up for it instead of making us wait they took care of us and were organized enough to keep us eating! super happy! 5 star

I was visiting a friend in Maple Ridge and was searching for a nice restaurant in Vancouver with a tasting menu. I stumbled on Chameleon and decided to give it a try since it was close... The whole experience here was fantastic! Perfect place for a celebration!

Portion sizes are too small for the price.

I believe our servers name was Samantha. I promised I would write a review and completely forgot so heres a blurb about our experience. My fiancé and I came in for our 5 year anniversary and were treated so well by all the staff members, especially our server Samantha. Were huge restaurant people, eating out pretty much every day. We like to stick to what we know but Chameleon Cafe really spiked our interest so we had to try the 5 course menu. I could honestly rave about the food non-stop. The menu is so thoughtfully put together with outstanding flavours. There was a small mishap of a server dropping a tray and breaking numerous glassware; but us, both previously working in the industry, paid no attention and thought nothing of it when glass hit our table and drinks spilt around us. We were so impressed by the staff grouping together to tackle it and constantly check in on us even though we insisted that we were totally fine. They even took care of another round of drinks since glass fell into one of ours.. and gave us a second dessert because we enjoyed it so much. Couldnt have had a better experience, thank you Samantha and the rest of the staff at Chameleon Cafe. We hope you enjoyed the glass of wine after your shift! We definitely will be back.

We usually go to Saint street grill in Port Moody for a nice date night but wanted to try something different, so went a little further afield. Chameleon was excellent, great service, atmosphere and food! We had a wonderful date night and would definitely recommend.

An absolute divine culinary experience, it has been a long time since I have enjoyed such delicious food. Chef Lucas Gallagher is has mastered the art of flavours and presentation.

Great ambience, modern, industrial look. Nice staff and excellent food. Great presentation of dishes. Pricey, but well worth it. Make your reservation to check it out yourself! We will be back for sure! Loved the experience

Enjoyed the Chefs Tasting Menu Experience for our wedding anniversary. It was a real treat. The flavours were amazing. The service was top-shelf. Great value. We will definitely return.

Great service, and great plate presentation . Farm to table concept with many local ingredients. I would have given it a 4, but I didn t feel that the ingredients of my meal were quiet a complimented. Each ingredient was amazing by itself, but the combination didn t quite make sense.

A Must try location for Maple Ridge and surrounding area. Won t be disappointed.

Once in a life time experience

The kitchen had already cooked a replacement steak at the correct temperature before I noticed the first one was overcooked. Both steaks were deliciouss and I was most impressed with the customer service. My girlfriends duck entry was also very good.

I posted a few years ago but had to update now that we went back. It was our anniversary, and we decided to book the chefs tasting menu and wine flight pairing. We are so glad we did - what an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely outstanding. Fresh, local and absolutely delicious. I am still dreaming of the duck confit. The service was also second to none. Friendly staff, knowledgeable about the menu and wines, and generally just a really nice atmosphere. We had a wonderful time and have such a good memory to share. Thank you to the wonderful staff and owners. ***** Overall a good experience. Drinks were amazing, appetizers were phenomenal and dessert was spectacular. Our server was pleasant and friendly and the atmosphere was nice. The only reason for 4 and not 5 was that our main dishes fell a bit short....risotto was very paste-like and gluey and the seafood Bouillabaisse needed some flavour. The service - while very good - was a bit slow. overall a good experience, we will be back to try the steaks they offer.

Beef tenderloin was amazing!!

My wife and I had an excellent first time at Chameleon. We definitely will be going back. They make traditional dishes new, by putting their own unique flavors. We started out with their Cesar Salad. Their twist on it had Charmesean Cheese , Pork Belly, and pickled veggies which was absolutely delicious. For our mains we ordered their flat bread and Pappardelle. The mushroom Pappardelle had a very unique cream sauce, and we love the smoke taste coming out of the mushrooms. We ended our meal with a key lime cheesecake. Although Im not usually a fan of cheesecake, I liked that the sourness from the key lime wasnt over powering and that the cheesecake was so soft. The staff was very corteous, and the chef even came by to chat with us as well, which was nice.

Had the burger which came with fries. The burger comes with basically enough ground beef to feed 3 which makes it kind of repulsive. The burger itself is fine if you ignore the abusive amount of ground beef. The cheese board did not taste fresh and some of the cheese seemed hard. The drink (Orchardist) was good but with so little cocktail options, the only ones that were on the menu all had very gimmicky ingredients in them. The waiter even mentioned they could make stuff off menu but naturally I am going to review their food options. If I come back, it will be to try the dinner menu, the only real option for lunch was the burger and the pasta. The pricing is on the high end but its fair if the food was at the same quality. We came right at 12 to ensure we would get the chefs right when they are warmed up, perhaps this was a mistake as it seems the Chameleon is always packed during dinner service. The french fries were delicious and hand made, as was the ketchup-like sauce, which made it the most enjoyable part of the meal.

We are so pleased that Chameleons is open again. We ve missed you. Our experience last night was fabulous. Our meal was delicious. Starters were the fried chicken and the salmon /tuna combo. We both had the fish which Was cooked to perfection. Dessert was fabulous too. Compliments to the chef!! There was one waitress who also tended the bar. She was amazing. Very efficient took great care of of us and drinks came in a timely fashion . She was also very knowledgeable about the food we ordered and had the most pleasing manner. Thank you Chameleons. We are regular dinners and can t wait visit you again soon.

Best fine dining available in Maple Ridge. Food and service excellent. Decor has been updated to adjust to Covid needs - good ventilation with high ceiling and proper table spacing. Not quite as intimate as previously but best Covid-safe environment possible.

Definitely will go back again, maybe only us two next time, no kids lol I haven t got perfect medium rare tenderloin for a while, it was perfect and so good! My husband mentioned that his pasta was great as well. The kids love the chicken + waffle, the chicken was crispy and juicy. Everything good and felt welcomed, probably this would be our celebration go-to place!

This is definitely a 5 star restaraunt for date night. The food is delicious, beer and wine flights are available. The service deserves recognition for how they added class and attentiveness to the experience. The environment is clean and upscale. We had the opportunity to meet the chef who gave us some information on the restaurant and food selection. This was a place that left me amazed at the entire experience.

A1 presentation and very good service. While the flavours were nice, and food well presented, the quantity left me needing a burger and fries afterward, especially for the beef tenderloin. My partners fish presentation was nice and appeared filling. On the way out i noticed other meals and they appeared more substantial than my meal. I would like to come back and hope the quantity is more satisfying. The chocolate ganache was very good and worth every penny. the deconstructed lemon cake thing was so-so.

Had my team Christmas dinner here and it was amazing night. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. We had the top room to ourselves. The beef tenderloin was really juicy. The glaze on the duck leg was marvelous. Would recommend for a great night out in Maple Ridge.
