We arrived at 5 when the restaurant opened. We know from past visits they are busy. We didn’t have a reservation. They had to check to see if they could take us. They said they could but we’d have to be done by 7. Because someone else had reserved for then. Just not a warm welcoming feeling. It was my mom’s birthday I said to the waitress/hostess. She went oh Happy Birthday. No special treatment at all. The Cesar salad and house were good. The food was subpar at best. Ordered the roasted chicken with Penne pasta. Store bought pasta under cooked with no real sauce or flavour. The chicken which I thought was in the pasta was roasted chicken on the side all brown meat thighs and drumstick. No mention of this and I only like white meat. Other people in our party ordered the combo. Again no flavour for the sauce and chicken was dark and not very flavourful. Overall total disappointment for a dinner out none less a birthday.
It was my son's 10th birthday today - I called and made reservations for 530 for my family of 5 Food takes a long time to arrive - we complained about how slow it was and the waitress said "this is a 2 hour seating" and that's "how the kitchen works". I could understand if it was fine dining but let's be clear, this is store bought pasta with home made sauces. My three boys liked the marinara sauce and the pasta was cooked nicely. My wife had the "special" which was roasted chicken (two drum sticks and one thigh) for $29. No mention on the menu that it was only dark meat. She said it was ok and ate most of it but was also very hungry as we had been waiting nearly 1.5hrs for the food to come out. The manager?owner?/chef? Went around to every table except ours to check in with customers. We heard him mention it was someone else's birthday and congratulated them - he made no mention to my son about it being his birthday even though it was specified in the reservation (whatever). The worst part of the night was when I asked the manager?owner?/chef? About my carbonara sauce. The sauce was cooked improperly - carbonara is supposed to be silky smooth without any curdling of the eggs. My pasta basically had cream, oil and scrambled eggs on it. Apparently this is "how we do it there". When I explained that this is not what I was expecting and that it wasn't properly made he became very standoffish and rude. I had to ask to have it removed from the bill - which he did but not without his nasty entitled attitude. The atmosphere is nice, it was clean and cozy. There's not a lot of seating and I guess the only downsides are the very small washrooms (1 person per washroom) and the tables on the right side of the dining room are so close together that my 8 year old could barely fit between the chairs to get to the washroom. We thought this would be a nice treat for my son's dinner as we are an Italian family but this was just a letdown on all accounts. Even with my main removed the bill was over $130 (for a glass of house wine, one app- the prawns were tasty, three plates of store bought pasta and my wife's "special"). Won't be back. ***Edit: we ordered two sides of garlic bread and they never brought it.
This is our favourite restaurant in ridge! It’s so cozy, the staff are so attentive, friendly and helpful and the food is delish. We love the Caesar salad and have never been dissapointed with a dish. Check for reservations on the weekends as it’s not a huge place. We love the house red wine and always leave full with some leftovers as well! Visiting for a birthday dinner tomorrow and already drooling thinking about it!
Went here the first time with my husband and my friend for her birthday. Food was great. Everyone loved their food. If I am going to go out and eat pasta I want it to either be cheap or amazing. This was amazing. My dish came with the most tender fall off the bone chicken I have ever had. My husband kept trying to steal more of my dish. Service was quick and friendly. For the quality and service the price is right. Highly recommended.
Make sure to get a reservation as its booked up plenty (for a good reason), I was lucky enough to get in as someone had cancelled. The pasta was absolutely amazing probably the best ive had and the atmosphere of the place was lovely too, will be back again for that 10/10 pasta
My wife and I happened on this restaurant while looking for a late dinner. We arrived at around 830PM and the restaurant was not very busy, a group of 6, and two other couples. We got seated right away, and the hostess returned shortly with glasses of water and some amazing warm buns with butter. The server came to our table shortly afterward and took our beverage orders, and discussed the evening specials. She left us with the menus and returned a short time later with our drinks. She took our appetizer order and our main dinner orders, and my wife and I enjoyed the warm buns. Relatively quickly, our Caesar salad arrived, and we began our meal. The timing on our main courses was perfect, and we had a short break between the completion of our salad and our main courses. I decided on the Penne Amatricana, and my wife had linguini Bolognese and meatballs. The meatballs were about the size of a tennis ball and they were delicious. My penne dish was also delicious, and I ate the leftovers the following day for lunch. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a great Italian meal. The service, course timing, and servers were excellent. Our server was very friendly and explained the story of the restaurant, and I am not surprised it has been in business as long it has, serving great food in a great spot by great people. 5 stars from me.
I have heard great reviews about Il Corsaro for a while now and the reviews are correct. Started the meal with the prawn appetizer and the sauce on it was unbelievable, the main course was the house made lobster and crab ravioli which hit the spot and came with a salad and house dressing which was some of the best I have ever had. Ended the evening with house made Tiramisu which was just as perfect and even better than the rest of the meal. If I could have given them 6 stars I would have, the server was able to answer all of the questions right away and was a perfect date night. I can’t wait to go back.
Ordered 60 dollars worth of takeout and basically had to throw it all out. The cesar salad was brown, and had literally 2 croutons on it, NOTHING else almost no sauce either, worst I’ve ever had. They forgot our soup and the pasta was extremely disappointing and flavourless. I never call to complain about anything but I just had to. When I called I was told ‘pasta is pasta’ whatever the hell that means. I make better pasta at home in ten minutes. I was really excited for this meal but will never go back, shocked at all the good reviews… listen to the bad ones!!!
Hidden gem. The atmosphere and service was amazing. Food was great.
our waitress was really funny and the food and service overall was incredible. We will be back!
amazing
Wedding reception. Staff was awesome and food was great. Not from the area (from Ottawa) but I would go again when in town!
As always great.
We had had an exceptional dining experience! Serving 11 people promptly with hot, delicious food was very impressive, the fantastic service can really elevated the occasion. Thanks Amanda
Im a bit shocked and disappointed.. We arrived Saturday with a party of 10, I believe . we were told ahead of time that we would be given a set menu, costing $39.95 or something around that. I felt this was a bit pricey but went ahead and had a great meal and time. now today I decided to have a look at their menu online and honestly I am shocked. our set menu consisted of a soup or salad, about 5 or so pasta dishes to select from and dessert. looking at their online menu, had I just made reservations for 2 or 4 and ordered the exact same thing I ordered from our set menu on Saturday I could of saved about $8 dollars. I had a funny feeling something was off and sure enough I was correct. soup is included in baked dishes which is one of the dishes I received and we didnt even get their famous Tira Misu, just some tiny slice of turtles cheese cake. sad to say I defiantly feel ripped off.
We met up with some family who recommended this place. They hyped up this place and did not disappoint. The service was great, super friendly and the food fantastic.
If you are good with a fly in your wine, this is your place. If you are even better with a waitress who tells you youll have to purchase another glass of wine if you are not happy with just taking the fly out yourself (or shell do it for you if you want) then this is your place. If you are all about paying $12 for a glass of wine that comes with a fly, this is your place. Honestly our party was in disbelief as the waitress gave no care or consideration about the fly in one of our glasses of wine,. Her response was she cant control the flys. ???? Interesting. Perhaps it is lost on her that people go out, pay more for something, like a glass of wine, even though they can have it at home for a fraction of the price, because of the service they look forward to receiving and the care that goes into the experience at the restaurant. I have been in the service industry all my life and this was something I had never experienced before and did not at all understand. So much so I am sitting here , taking my time, to write this review. A review I wish I was not writing. Yes we did have to pay for the glass of wine with fly.
Amazing service, atmosphere and food. The owner was our server as well as the cook. Love the small, family feeling of it. Both our pastas were amazing. But by far the best part was the tiramisu the best I have ver had!!! A must try! Will definitely be our go to from now on. I only wished that they served crackers with their charcuterie plate.
Fantastic Italian food and great service.
Staff was a bit rude to us because we didnt have any reservations...
My favourite restaurant to take my wife for a special occasion. A small owner operated authentic Italian restaurant for intimate dining.
Always an exceptional meal with wonderful service. My favourite spaghettini with mussels and prawns along with their homemade Tiramisu for dessert is always a treat. Relaxing atmosphere and exceptional staff made for a great evening.Thank you!!
We arrived approximately 10 minutes early so our table was not ready. 5 minutes to set it. There is no waiting area here. Dodging the staff, we decided to wait outside. Glad it had stopped raining as we were out there for over 5 minutes waiting for someone to let us know our table was ready. That never happened. I was disappointed when our meatball appetizer arrived with cheese on top after asking for no cheese on top. Now we cant find our waitress so we could have it replaced. Other than that, the food was amazing and our server Amanda was very good.
Ordered takeout from here for the second time, first time I was unimpressed , decided to give a second attempt tonight based on good reviews, and tonight s meal was not good at all, overpriced for the quality of pasta and soggy garlic bread.
Everything was awesome Vegetarian options: Had on memu Dietary restrictions: Same Parking: Behind establishment. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
I love this place! But, they went on holiday and didn t update their googles. We ended up driving around the block a couple times for parking (no biggie) to end up at a dark closed restaurant even though we had checked on Google beforehand to make sure they were open on a Saturday night. Please note! Update the Google because your customers use it when making decision about where to spend their money. Hope vaca was great
My favourite restaurant in town! Delicious food and amazing service.
A place to go for if you want a fine dinning experience!
Came one Friday night after 6pm, restaurant half empty, they told us they didnt have a table for us till 830 - fine. Thought this place was a big deal, made a reservation a week ahead. Had high expectations, left very dissapointed. - Costco multigrain triangle bun for bread (really? Multiple bakeries in the city, 2 next door!!), one triangle cut in half served warmed with butter. - Mussels appy - small portion, decent sauce but you dont get any extra bread to soak it all up. - Ceasar salad had 3 very hard croutons, a head of romaine lettuce, dressing was very garlicky nothing to get excited over. - italian soup - decent, a bit watery, no croutons or bread with it. - Pasta was fishy and boring. The pesto tomato pasta was decent. - Didnt bother with desert. - Service was good, cant complain there. - Menu font too small and its too dark to read easily. This restaurant needs to do WAY better if it wants to compete with the other 2 neighboring Italian restaurants..
Bland, poor tasting, expired pirate food (and in the pirate sense, we must have had a very authentic experience). Alio Olio pasta was very bland (it s supposed to have a kick to it at least). Pasta itself was out of a package and not a good package In a mussels appetizer the sauce was decent, but half the mussels were very undercooked. Chorizo tortellini were so bland it was impossible to tell the dough from the filling (I even had to check that chorizo was there). Except for the rotten ones, those ones were full of rotting moldy flavour. I guess when they put things on special it must be past expiry and they need to clear them fast Water was not even filtered and tasted horrible. But I guess, they want customers to drink wine or bottled water instead. But the salads were good. Not coming back to a pasta bar for a salad though
Went there for a friends birthday. And I have zero complaints. We got greeted with amazing smiles, our server was amazing, I didn t catch her name. The appetizers were amazing. And our main dishes were absolutely fantastic. It was so flavourful, and in every bite we savoured. And we had the house made tiramisu. This restaurant is dangerously good. I highly recommend Il corsaro to anyone looking for a great pasta bar. Thank you for making our first experience amazing!
Went because I ve heard good things about it.. left being really confused on why people have said anything good? Ordered the Cesar salad, was disgusting, tasted like metal. Ordered two pastas, both had no flavour, and overcooked pasta. Save your money, and make the trip over to Olive Garden.. it s far better than this place.
This is our go to Italian restaurant. Amazing food, familiar staff, personable owner/chef. I highly recommend the manicotti!
Great service. Very Quaint and nice. I love the pasta options - Will be back for more :)
U forget ur in Maple Ridge once u sit down! Cozy but great atmosphere, could sit there for hrs. Food and wine so good, priced really well. Service friendly, attentive, not at all pushy or rushed. Already recommended to friends!
Selfishly, I want to say you shouldn t go here, because it ll make my own ability to get reservations harder, but I won t. This place is fantastic. These folks put so much care into the food and atmosphere. The food is delicious. The wine is perfect. The people are the best.
Wonderful people, friendly and committed to your enjoyment. The food is always wonderful, have been many times and will certainly go back
Food, service and atmosphere are always excellent! Love it here.
DO NOT PURCHASE TAKE OUT FROM THIS RESTAURANT. This pasta bar cant even cook spaghetti al dente. I purchased a take out spaghetti bolognese, and the spaghetti was overcooked to mush. When I called to complain the Il Corsaro Pasta Bar was not accommodating at all. After complaining about my dish being completely overcooked I was told over the phone that I must have let the pasta sit there before picking it up. Their accusation couldnt have been the case since I was told it would be ready in 30minutes, promptly arrived at the designated time, and then took it on a 4minutes drive back home since I live about 4blocks away. If anything waiting for service to pay for the food took longer. They do not take any responsibility, and would rather try to push the blame on a customer for their inconsistent cooking. Even after they realized my point this restaurant showed how little they care for their take out customers by saying that they would only be willing to reimburse me if I brought back the dish. Customer service seems to only apply if you dine in here. I have been to this restaurant a couple times as it is portrayed as a classy establishment here in Maple Ridge, however, after being told I must be the reason their pasta was mushy and overcooked I will no longer be coming back. Their manners and regard to customers is insulting.
Loved the food! Great experience. Would be a great ronamintic dinner date! Vegetarian options: Spinach and ricotta shells Kid-friendliness: High chair available
One of my favorite local places...
A small but very nice restaurant. Excellent choices and willing service people. Food
Very romantic destination. The food is absolutely amazing, and you even get to meet the Head Chef/Owner. He actually comes and takes your order. I mean, cmon, who else is better than the guy who preps everything, knows everything about each of the 25 sauces, and then actually prepares the Meals! Had wanted to go there for ages!!! Finally, I made the reservation, and the rest is history.
Very nice and fancy Italian, and accordingly priced. The food was very good and absolutely authentic (we just before spent two weeks in Italy), service and atmosphere are great too. One of us had bolognese sauce / meat sauce, and was not happy with it mainly being tomato sauce and little meat - that was not as expected. However all other meals were top of the line.
Genuinely disappointed, I just ordered takeout and both the gnocchi and penne are overcooked. The genovese sauce is watery, and surprisingly bland :( for $20+ dollars a plate I feel like Ive been slapped. This is a lesson for me - next time I crave pasta either I drive out to Antons or I make it myself.
Deliciously fabulous experience last night.
The mussels and linguine special was absolutely delicious, probably the best pasta dish I ve ever had anywhere. When I had a minor inconvenience with my meal they showed outstanding customer service and compensated my meal. I can t say enough good things about this restaurant we will definitely be back.
Wonderful service. Good food. Theres a reason this place has been around for a long time. Highly recommend going there for a lovely romantic dinner
This was our pasta go to place but something must have changed. The food tonight was salty in general. The prawns used to have a nice garlic twist to it but it has been substituted with tomato based sauce. I had really hoped to get a linguini or spaghetti but these werent available on the night we visited. The ravioli tasted dry. The cake... Was ok. Service was attentive and courteous. We appreciated that. Sorry, I need to look for another paste joint if the only option is set menu. Maybe I will try again if I can order single dishes.
Extremely disappointed. Have been wanting to try for quite some time. We ordered takeout and the pasta was completely dry, barely any sauce at all, paid over $25 for boiled noodles. The minimal sauce that was there had zero flavor. Not sure why all the good reviews.
Wonderful establishment!! Food is made with love and how it should be, not over sauced.Small but good wine selection for a small place. A gem for sure
Brutal... use to be soooo good .. idk what has happened, ugh. I have no idea what is in their meatballs.. The only thing that came to mind was tofu. Lol thats what they kinda look like and tatse like... ughh Is it under new management or new cook or new something ?!?!?!? .. also, they had zeroooo soap in their bathroom like no nothing.. It wasnt just empty, it didnt even exist
Even though you could craft a pasta dish to your liking, I have usually stuck to the chef s specials sheet. I have never been disappointed. The manicotti w/ gorgonzola is my fave but the spinach ricotta stuffed shells are excellent also
Never fails to serve the absolute best! You cant go wrong with anything on the menu... my favorite is the lobster ravioli and the absolute best ever Caesar salad! My husband had tortellini and Italian sausage. No leftovers.
Went here for our wedding anniversary. Really good atmosphere and the food was great!
Nice pasta experience, refined and elegant. Vegetarian options: Several options Wheelchair accessibility: Park right in front
Got UberEats delivery - solidly mediocre. Ordered: gorgonzola manicotti, combo platter. Portions were OK but quality not much better than jarred sauce. Sausage looked store bought. Chicken cacciatore was one drumstick stewed in tomato sauce, couldnt taste other spices. Meatball and manicotti were better choices. Dine-in may be better but will not be getting delivery or takeout again.
Wonderful Italian restaurant. Food was great and service was excellent! Will come back.
One of the best pasta bars I ve been to. Very flexible with their menu, great service, LOVED my dinner, very flavourful. At the end I asked for a part of another dessert to go with the dessert I wanted and with our hesitation they brought me a scoop of dark truffle ice cream to go with my tiramisu.
Very good attention from eager cheerful staff on a very bust Friday night. Food delicious, good timing and warm welcome atmosphere.
Always the best food, the best people and a great time. Highly recommend!
Great food and good service.
The soup was amazing. My main was okay.
Bit of a miss this time, a bit ordinary. Luckily had great company and good wine in a lovely atmosphere.
Yum... yum... yum!
Il Corsaro- an Italian treasure tucked away in an ordinary stretch along Dewdney Trunk in Maple Ridge. A cozy little Italian Pasta Bar. But theres nothing ordinary about this restaurant. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by the sleek elegance of the decor and the charming Italian hospitality- totally reminiscent of an upscale dining offering. My husband and I had randomly picked the restaurant for our dinner tonight not realising we were in for a treat. This was our first visit there and will not be the last for sure. From the time we got in till our meal ended, everything was as perfect as it could be. The meal selection was great. We had their special Prawn appetizer and shared a Pasta dish ( we are both small eaters)- Linguini with Genovese Sauce and Wild Mushrooms. Both dishes were so flavourful and satisfying. The Pasta portion was humongous- even after we had our fill, there was still leftover to take home! As full as I was, I couldnt resist their Dark Chocolate Truffle ice cream- a perfect ending to a delectable meal. The pricing was reasonable considering the quality of the food, service and ambience. We were particularly pleased with the service staff Amanda and her team who were professional, courteous and attentive. All in all, great random pick. Will return for sure!
Great service, great food, owner is intentive to the needs of the customers, and the staff mimic this very well. Good teamwork from the staff. House white is sooo good with the food. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants good Italian in maple ridge.
The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere is great. The staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely no complaints here.
Simply an amazing ambiance and service orientated spot John , Amanda and team make this an experience every visit with amazing food and a personal touch. Make a reservation and check it out you will become a regular like me.
food was not good
The service was great, but the food (though it tasted fine) was not worth the price.
We came for the first time. We choose on the menu but no you don t have the choice the menu is already set up for you. Decent food but pricy. $40 for a salad two canelonis with good sauce and a desert, so so. Desapointed
Best pasta in Maple Ridge, excellent atmosphere, friendly staff.
6 star service excellent food
Amazing food!!! Friendly service!!!
Awesome meals. Especially the lobster and crab ravioli.
Good service, good food. No surprise or anything, but decent food and positive experience.
Fantastic service, delicious food and very decent prices.
Our server gave us good service but the fellow there who stated he made the sauce was rude and disrespectful. When we (three ladies) complained that our pasta lacked sauce he treated us like we were stupid and did not know what we were talking about and proceeded to argue with us instead of trying to fix the situation. Very, very average food. If you want to be treated kindly and with respect, go elsewhere. There is better Italian food in Maple Ridge
We had the greatest of restaurant dinners in a long time ( since pre- covid)! Giovanni (John) was very accomodating, I forgot to communicate to him we were going to have two more at our table of four! I think we had a traditional four course dinner, with the wine water and bread servings! I recommend the mussel and prawn in the shell as anti pasto - followed with a pasta primo which came with a secondo as a salata! Tiramisu always makes one know that dinner has ended, wash it down with coffee, tea and or grappa and you are in delectable heaven! I recommend il Corsaro, John is a good host, and the service very polite and helpful with the menu! Enjoy!
Tonight my son and I went for dinner here. The atmosphere was very nice and the service was top notch! Not to mention our dinner was fantastic!! Will definitely be returning soon. Thank you, Il Corsaro for the best dinner out,in years.Cheers!
I ll definitely be coming back. Well executed pasta dishes. The salad and appetizer prosciutto platter were on point as well. The room is charming and well kept.
Cant say enough positive things about this little gem. Great food! Great service. Also a great price point for what you get.
The only reason my son picked this place was it was a good midpoint for both of us. Thankfully it was an excellent choice. The ambience and decor was very inviting and just seem to say, stay awhile. Everything about dinner was great from the house wine to the entree to dessert. I would definitely recommend this place for an intimate, just the two of you, or a gathering of friends.
Ambiance is good. Service was okay. Food was a set menu, you could order appys from the regular menu but dinner was a set menu I upgraded to the Caesar salad it was way too garlicky. Pasta dish was mushroom ravioli and it was good. Dessert tasted like it was from Safeway - pretty bad. Took almost 2 hours. I think they were short staffed. But I would not come back. Nothing outstanding about it.
Dietary restrictions: Worked with my potato allergies
The best Italian restaurant I ve ever eaten ate! Definitely a must do next time we are in Maple Ridge
Absolutely amazing food was second to none. Service was impeccable
Very good food. Excellent service.
Very friendly welcome, cuisine rivaling that of Tuscany, to be recommended
Excellent food, attentive staff, a great ambience, and well priced! Couldnt ask for more!
We got Linguini Carbonara - we had hair in this item. Threw it away. Sausage and Peppers- this was alright, tasted good. Caesar Salad- they didn t have the right lettuce. Which we knew about. Was great still. Veal Saltimbocca- this was really good. Garlic Bread- this was also really good. Called the restaurant and told them what happened and they offered us a refund. This was really nice to hear. So other then finding hair in our one dish everything else was good.
Great staff and tasty food.
Wonderful evening with another couple. Food is authentic and excellent. Service was really good, as required, but not in the way, and friendly and comfortable. The table was comfortable with lots of room. We will return. Be sure to make a reservation- they had to turn people away even before 6:00, as they were full. A popular destination.
I wanted to get some Italian food and an acquaintance had recommended this restaurant. When I called I asked the person who answered for recommendations. Her response of she doesn t like to pick people s food for them wasn t very helpful. I didn t think her attitude was welcoming. I got gnocchi carbonara and a couple of other dishes. The food was okay, but I wasn t impressed. I m going to try some other restaurants.
Food and service were excellent.
Always good food and good service. Highly recommend!
Amazing!!
As good as always, is one of our regular places we eat when we feel like Italian dinner
My husbands favorite pasta place
This is our favourite restaurant in Maple Ridge, the food and atmosphere are the best. The service is amazing
Ive been wanting to try this local spot since before the pandemic! Couldnt wait until I felt safe enough to dine in yet - so ordered take out & it was delish! Lovely flavours & so balanced! We had the chicken cacciatore & stuffed manicotti. I literally want to try everything on the menu lol My only criticism - Im still paying full price if not more for the dishes - it wouldve been nice to get a piece of bread or side salad with our pastas. Im assuming we wouldve received similar if we were having a normal dine in experience. Will be back for sure! Great little local gem tucked away
Always great
Great gluten free gnocchi!
Great food.....
Excellent food and service
If I could give higher than 5 stars I would. The best atmosphere, service and food we have ever experienced in any restaurant. If we lived in the area we would be weekly regulars, but will now drive to Maple Ridge when we come to the lower mainland just for this place.
Food was pretty good, limited bar, service was good, straight forward menu, pick pasta pick sauce and then some daily specials.
Ive never had a bad meal or experience here. Good portion sizes and amazing quality food and staff.
Dined on Saturday October 23, 2021. Excellent food and excellent service! COVID-19 vaccination records checked upon entry. A great dining experience.
Always great!
Great service and atmosphere. Food/wine was good. Good value.
Not the best food for the price Food and wine very expensive Would not go back.
I would like to point out that this place touts itself as a pasta bar. To me it means they specialize and excel in making pasta and everything that comes with it. If this is also your expectation, you would be as wrong as I was. Starting with the dinner rolls... frozen Costco bagged buns that were reheated. My ice tea... also Kirkland powdered ice tea mix and not even bottomless. The gnocchi I ordered looked also very familiar and very commercially produced. When I asked our server if they make the pasta in-house, she confirmed that it is sourced out as well. In the end, the meal was okay. Just okay and amounted to an overpriced pasta dinner anyone who shops at Costco can produce at home. It is reheated and lack lustre. And I would challenge the owner to deny it. The service was slow coming out of the kitchen despite us being one of three tables. A missed opportunity since there is an italian bakery just a block away that could deliver fresh bread and other local suppliers of fresh ingredients.
Made a reservation for Valentines - delicious food and amazing service from Amanda. Will definitely be returning. Our reservation was for an hour before close, but the staff assured us we could stay until we had finished. They stuck to their word, and did not make us feel rushed whatsoever.
We always go there for special occasions. Birthdays anniversarys and New Years. The food and staff are extremely good and friendly.
Food is good and the staff is great. Make a reservation to get in thou
We had dinner here last night. The food is just absolutely delicious!! The soup is a must have, so so good!! Our sever Amanda was a sweetheart and the owner/chef John is a gentleman. Highly recommended this place!! Will definitely be going back again soon
Gross, it s a long story. Ask me about it. Terrible service and a broken sauce they said was how they did it.
How do you feel comfortable charging $10 for such a small ceaser salad with 2 croutons on top... I was excited to see that my once favourite restaurant in Maple Ridge was delivering through Uber Eats. Two pasta dishes and a ceaser salad came to $58 dollars (including tip and Uber Eats Fee). However I was extremely disappointed with the portion size of the wild mushroom ravioli and ceaser salad. The pasta itself was also very undercooked. Perhaps they just dont care about the quality for deliveries. Please take your business elsewhere, they have clearly lost their way.
Our favourite Italian restaurant in BC. Really authentic and very tasty. Reasonably priced and friendly staff. Been here many times and never disappointed yet. Recommend highly
Lovely little place. Very comfortable and relaxing. Great staff and fantastic pasta!
Normally I have had good experiences here but tonight was a disappointment I ordered through Uber eats asked for extra dressing on my salad none and my pasta was dry I wouldnt have minded if it was a cheap pasta place but for the price I paid was upset.
If you have not tried Il Corsaro, then you must put this on your list of Pasta Bars. My personal favourites are their gnocchi in bolognese sauce, and their Beef Gargonzola Cheese Manicotti. For the dozen or more times I have tried these dishes they have always delivered the same consistent taste and flavours. Most impressive...! Mangia.. :D
Fabulous dinner!
Excellent!
Went with my husband for a birthday dinner and it was fantastic! Great service, great food...the prawn appetizer was incredible, and the tiramisu was amazing!! Support local!
The food wasnt that great and we felt nervous to ask for anything because the server was so rude and snobby. Even to the young hostess she was rude and was humiliating her loudly in front of everyone. The Alfredo sauce was almost like water and honestly had no taste...I was scolded for everything I asked for, including the extra parm I requested to try to spice up my bland pasta. My girlfriends pasta had the noodles sticking together, like a massive lump of them. Also, the butter for the bread was obviously just taken out of the fridge because it was hard as a rock so it was very difficult to butter our bread. The hostess was very sweet though and the restaurant itself was clean. But that server with the dark hair ... she needs to learn how to speak to customers and to her co workers too.
To be honest, I really didnt feel like they lived up the hype. Dont think I will be going back anytime soon.
Very good food
Best restaurant in maple ridge by far
The food is fantastic!!
2nd time there. Enjoyed the food again.
Excellent food and service with a great ambiance. This is a place you can relax and enjoy yourself with friends. We will definitely be back.
Fantastic service. Delicious food and great daily specials. Highly recommended. $$$. Best Italian restaurant in the city.
My husband and i think this is the most romantic restaurant. The ambiance is wonderful with the dim lights and music. The food is absolutely amazing!! Our #1 choice for every special occasion dinner!
You have to make a reservation, its a pretty small place, and theyre usually busy. Gave it 3 stars for the ambience mostly, and my wife loves it here. Ive only been here once but the food and appetizers were pretty pricey for what you actually got, and the pasta I got was decent but not great, I got a dish with the walnut alfredo, and frankly it was just adequate. I could see myself coming back and trying another dish but the prices are still pretty high for what you ultimately end up getting here
Very good pasta! The flavour is deep and you can tell they are different than other places. Wish they were open for lunch! on the expensive side though.
Excellent always!
Great place for casual upscale Italian. John (the owner) takes a lot of pride in cooking good food and treating customers well, and it shows. Perhaps its pricey, but thats what it takes to have a sustainable restaurant here and Il Corsaro has been a pillar in our community for years. My advice: come on a night when youre not looking for a bargain meal, and enjoy a glass of Italian wine with your dinner. Youll be glad you did.
Great food, nice atmosphere, friendly service. Our meals arrived together in a timely manner. We all four enjoyed our meals immensely and have talked of our plans for our next meal there. I had a delicious Manicotti, two others had spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs, another had a Mushroom Ravioli all very flavorful and nicely prepared. I recommend Il Corsaro Pasta Bar.
Great food and atmoshere
Loved it from start to end. Amazing food and service. You will see how much they care about their customers having a great experience. Thanks for a lovely evening. We needed it and will get back for more!
Wonderful Italian food and superb service. Loved it.
Best pasta ever!
Good appetizers
The wife and I finally decided to try this place. Super upset that we waited so long. The food was absolutely dynamite. Best restaurant in Maple Ridge. We will be back soon!
This place is a gem. Best pasta
Mouth watering, nothing compares, a must in italian food!
Food was fabulous.
Excellent food, excellent service. Shhh, dont tell anyone!
Intimate and cozy setting. Its quiet even when its a full house. I like the Vongole Bianco pasta. I think it goes well with angel hair. Reservations may need to be made in advance.
Great little Italian pasta bar. Great selection. Amazing flavours. Good wine selection too.
BEST restaurant in Maple Ridge hands down! Gotta try the house red wine
Delicious food good service
Really good service
Was really looking forward to visiting here as we heard it was one of the better Italian spots in Maple Ridge. Food was mediocre. I had the lobster ravioli dish and it was very bland. The fish had NO flavor. Plus it was cold. Service was OK until the end of our meal. The waitress brought our bill and our coats but we had not asked for EITHER. It felt like we were being forced to leave. Which is strange as it was not busy and a Tuesday evening. Wont visit again.
My wife and I happened upon this wonderful place. The food was delicious and the price was cheap for such a lovely meal. Though I recommend a reservation as the place fills up fast.
Amazing food and service!
Mr fix computers supports this establishment
Amazing quality and service. Everything tastes so fresh and home-made.
Loved it!
Went there tonight with my girlfriend we both shared two plates, butternut squash ravioli, shells stuffed with ricota cheese, and a side salad. Both meals were good, salad dressing was on the salty side though. Service was also good. So I definitely will go again in the future.
We love this place. Weve only been three times, but each time the food has been great. The spaghetti and meatballs are delightful and the portion size is healthy. You need to make a reservation here because of the size. An almost hidden gem of Maple Ridge.
Good selection of tasty food on the menu. This was our first time here. My wife had the chicken & I the beef filled manicotti; both were excellent & came with soup or salad. Good value, good service, cozy atmosphere.
Very cozy atmosphere. The smell of garlic in the air. Food was fresh, hot and flavourful. Service was excellent and fast. Wine list had good selections and was reasonably priced. I would suggest making a reservation.
Lovely food, cozy space and great staff.
Sucked , my wife makes better pasta.
Tasty food
I was super impressed at first.....the service was amazing, the appys were great!! ....then our meal came, both my hubby and I thought the meat was like jerky and very salty. When we told our waitress Amanda she was rude and told the cook-cook came out and insisted he make something else which was great. The meal he made was very good. What makes me give this two stars is after that the service was TERRIBLE after that. They barely came to our table let alone looked at us. It made us feel very uncomfortable and we rushed to leave-waste of $100.
Was really looking forward to a great birthday dinner....So NOT the case. The appetizers were great but it rooktcloae to.an hour following to get the main courses (allaof our dishes) were so full of garlic it killed our taste buds after the first bite. When mentioned to our waitress she said oh sorry Ill let the chef know. Nothing was done to fix it even offer to adjust our bill. For a $160.00 dinner for 3 people I expect way more!! Unfortunately it wasnt the birthday dinner experience I was hoping for. Will take a lot for me to go back & try again.
Homestyle Italian. Satisfying. The affogato is a must.
Food was fabulous. BUT We were celebrating our Anniversary.......we were asked to leave as soon as we finished as they had a reservation coming in after us. We were considering another bottle or wine....paid our bill, left and waited outside for 1/2 an hour for our ride as we werent prepared to be asked to leave. Thanks alot....kinda wrecked our evening. 1st and last visit. Well continue to go to Antons in Burnaby which was our usual have never felt rushed even though there is always a line up....we were totally hoping we had found our new spot and we would have.....had we not been treated so rude in the end.
Cozy atmosphere, delicious food, attentive staff
Hired my girlfriend as a waitress but only gave her 8hrs per week or less, is now refusing contact with her and not paying her.
Love it. Been there several times and are looking forward to the next time. Super cozy, intimate atmosphere, friendly staff, great tasting Italian food and a nice variety of vines and other liquors. Owner serves food and comes to see you at the table. Make reservations! This small establishment is always very busy. And TIP worthy.
The staff is fabulous, food and wine selection is amazing! Always our go to for a night out. Cant say enough good things about Corsaros!
Yum. That is all.
OMG the prawns are cooked in the shell, which at first, threw me off....but then I tasted them: heaven on earth!!!! Wow!!! Service was outstanding. THE GO TO PLACE IN THE TRI CITIES!!!!!
Had a family dinner here on saturday..and wow!! Such and amazing little restaurant. The food is freshly made and the flavours are incredible!! Had the prawn appetizer and lobster and crab ravioli..best pasta ive had at a restaurant! Definitely recommend this place!
Wake up Maple Ridge . This is a gem . The best Italian food I have had in a long time. Raos in Vegas or Dantes in Desanzano has nothing on ll Corsaro Pasta Bar. The sauces are fresh and take you to a place that you want to repeat . We will be back . The chef just might make it to my all time favourites . He is talented and his food proves it .
