Guy who worked today was rude. Came here as I looked they had good reviews. Ordered cheese seasoned chicken, but gave me seasoned chicken instead. Blamed me for the wrong order and was very rude about it. Will not come back again.

This is the worst breakfast Ive ever had. I knew I was in for a treat when I noticed the grimey blinds in the window that hadnt been dusted for years. My Americano tasted watered down and worse than diner coffee for the price of a gourmet cafe. When I ordered bacon and eggs I didnt realize it came in the form of soup with a thick grease stock for broth. My girlfriends coworker recommended this quaint cafe and I will never take another recommendation from her or my girlfriend ever again. This experience probably just ruined our relationship of 5 years. It was hell. I paid $20 to go through hell.

The food here is so delicious and price is reasonable. Love to come. and try again.

Good chicken, favorite is cream onion!

First time visit here for seasoned (sweet/spicy) boneless chicken. Parking on street only from what I could tell. Service prompt but had to send server back for the correct drink. Much more breading than expected, probably about a 50/50 ratio with meat. Crunch was nice, but probably achieved with slight overcooking of breading. Most Korean chicken known for light breading.... this wasnt it. Sauce was tasty enough at first, though a bit sparse for my taste. As the meal progressed, sauce seemed to lack depth of others Ive tried. After watching Netflix documentary Korean Fried Chicken Rhapsody, I would say that this kitchen wouldnt last in Korea. Will move on and try again.

Korean fried chicken, and it delivers. Food is awesome with beer, and nice convenient location especially on the pickup. However dining area is quite small (5-6 tables). Parking kinda sucks, but it is in the busy maple ridge downtown so that s understandable. Clean interior. Owner gave me a stink eye for eating at the diner for some reason even when I pre-paid with tip. Dunno why, but I guess the owner doesn t like to clean dishes or something. And I had to pay extra for extra muu (picked radish) on the side. Experience may vary.

It s one of the best fried chickens I have ever tried. Crispy & creamy same time ummm,,, so yummy I definitely recommend it. Recommended dishes Onion Chicken

There Korean Style Fried Chicken is amazing. There are a number of delicious flavors. The chicken comes both bone in and boneless. I suggest fir your first time to get a half order of 2 different flavors. I suggest if you have never eaten it you try it soon. You can order in for pick up too. Wheelchair accessibility: They have a wheelchair ramp at the front entrance.

Really good Korean fried chicken! Super crispy on the outside and tender/juicy on the inside. A bit on the pricier side but other than that, this restaurant is a good option if you re craving for some fried chicken!

Better than KFC!! Huge portion sizes. There are so many flavourful options, and the boneless pieces are huge! Ive been here a half dozen times, and the consistency in the food has been 100%.

To be fair, I only had a half order of the spicy garlic pepper chicken. It was amazing. Good heat, lots of flavour, juicy chicken. I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes spicy food. The downside of the restaurant is I couldnt find street parking near the store and had to walk to pick it up. Not a big deal to me but may hinder someone elses experience. Price was a bit high $17.99 for half order of chicken but basically on par with other Korean chicken restaurants.

Weve ordered take-out from here a couple of times and the fried chicken is excellent. We tried the Garlic & Pepper, Seasoned, Honey and Soy flavors. All of them were very good, with the Garlic & Pepper and Honey being our favourites. Three half-portions will feed a family of four; they have boneless options available as well, which are a nice alternative. Parking is a bit of a pain in the area and wait time was longer than expected on one occasion but those are small complaints. Its nice to see consistency in the quality of take-out food as thats not often the case. Price is reasonable for what you get and Id definitely recommend trying them out. Nice to have a place making great fried chicken in Maple Ridge.

Today is the first time Ive eaten at Kokodak since all the pandemic restrictions ended including the seven month extension for the unvaccinated. Didnt do any takeout. I went in once recently but the lunch special I wanted ended at 3:00 so I just missed it. My experience today was somewhat disappointing. I was the only person in the restaurant around 2:30 PM. The server was friendly enough but when my seasoned chicken and rice came, the rice was warm, not hot. The chicken was as delicious as I remembered it, except that the other two or three times I ordered it, it came with shredded green onion on top which added some wonderful flavour. When the server came to see if everything was okay, I mentioned that it came with green onion last time. She pointed to the hanging board menu near the till that I couldnt see from where I was sitting and said, We have green onion. You ordered seasoned chicken. The padak is the green onion. Whenever Id been in before, which is years ago now, there was a young man working there and the menus were on paper. I asked if the the ownership had changed. She said no. When I got home, I googled the menu. Apparently I could have ordered a side of green onion for $3 but she didnt offer it to me. And I know there used to be scallops on the menu as an appie because a friend recommended them to me so either the menu has changed or the management has. When she brought my takeout box for the half of my meal that I couldnt finish, she had her hand over her mouth, chewing. Seemed unprofessional but maybe Im being nitpicky. Maybe she could sense Im nitpicky and thought it was better to bring it with her mouth full so I didnt complain she took too long, ha. Generally, I would recommend the chicken and this experience wont keep me away. It was a live and learn day. Also, I noticed people mentioned a lack of street parking but there is a small lot just around the corner down the first lane behind Kokodak.

Possibly the best fried chicken I have ever had. The seasoned chicken will go on to be a staple take out dish in our household, along with the soy boneless chicken. It was all incredible. Can t recommend this food enough! Drooling thinking about it

The staff is friendly It took a while for the food to come out, but since there is Wi-Fi, you can wait while looking at your smartphone. I had a ham and mushroom omelette. It was a little bland, but if you sprinkle some salt on it, it wont be a problem. It was delicious The potatoes were crispy fried and the toast was warm. The dessert came with strawberries and melon, and it was sweet and very delicious.

I ve been really excited to try this place so my friend and I decided to pop by yesterday. The Korean Fried Chicken options have been a bit lacking since I ve moved back to Maple Ridge from Burnaby / Vancouver area and I haven t found many good spots but this place takes the crown for Ridge Meadows. The prices are fair, the flavour options have something for everyone and the service was awesome, the employees were super nice. The chicken smacks, not overly oily, packed with flavour. Give it a shot!

I have been here a few times now and have to rave about the honey chicken. Delicious! Their half portions are really really big. When split by two people we usually get two meals from one half portion. I am impressed by the size and quality. Every time I can try a new flavour. But keep going back to honey

This is one of the best Korean Fried Chicken in the area. Weve eaten in and done take out a few times, after all there is nothing like grabbing it to go and then going to a local brewery. Our go tos are the spicy mayo chicken, honey chicken, and garlic & pepper. Service is always friendly and the only thing I wish is that there was a parking lot instead of just street parking as it fills up quick. Parking: only street parking that does fill up Kid-friendliness: always see kids inside and there is a lot of space Wheelchair accessibility: ramp and access around back if needed

The chicken is delicious. Get it to go and have it at home with rice and a vegetable. Their sides are very limited. Order ahead or you will be waiting 15min. Everything is freshly made, so the wait is worth it. Parking: Street parking is very limited.

I felt so lucky when I saw there was a korean fried chicken place in Maple Ridge. We still walked in very unsure about what kind of place this was and the dude there saw that and he essentially told us what to order through a language barrier and we went along with it. The chicken was awesome: tasted great, good portions, all the sauces and seasonings we could ask for - except honey mustard, which I was looking forward to. Also, it wasnt clear if we had the option of getting the sauces on the side, as opposed to covering the chicken with it (I dont like having sticky fingers). As for the rest of our meal, we ordered a side of fries but there were zero options for salads which wasnt great. Overall would recommend if youre craving the best kind of fried chicken youve ever had, but if youre wanting a balanced meal, maybe take it home with you and make your own salad or something.

Food is excellent however wait times are abysmally slow. Dont bother coming here if youre on a time constraint. Pre ordered for takeout and still waiting almost 40 minutes later

So delicious we had it twice in one week We have tried original, seasoned, and garlic pepper - seasoned is definitely the favourite with perfectly balanced sweet and spicy flavours. Staff is super friendly. We have only done takeout and it has been an all around great experience!

Ive been dreaming about fried chicken since Christmas morning. Finally got a chance to check this place out, and let me tell you...it was worth the wait. Very good flavors and super crunchy chicken...I am definitely coming back. Give this wonderful establishment a try.

i love korean fried chicken but i wasnt happy with the offerings of kocodak. the wings i ordered were much like i would have ordered at a regular fried chicken restaurant. the honey garlic sauce seemes to be regular commercial sauce instead of an restaurant prepared sauce. the steamed rice was okay, which was probably the best part of the meal. they didnt have any side salads to go with my order. the price they asked for was too expensive for what i recieved. they made me wait 25 minutes for this meal and packed it to go when I wanted to sit down and eat. Its like they didnt want me to come back. its too bad. for the only korean chicken house in maple ridge, i would drive to the next town to get proper korean chicken with good service.

Amazing korean chicken. Crisp yet juicy - not greasy. Chopped into small pieces. Available bone in; or boneless. Various sauces are available. On our last visit we tried original; which as no sauce. It was so really good. Half order easily will feed 3 for dinner with a side.

Listen it was extremely delicious, top tier flavor. but it made me really sick later if you know what I mean. Like really bad. And after reading the reviews it looks like Im not the only one. If you know you have a sensitive stomach maybe steer clear of here.

I went to this place with my friend and we ordered then he brought us water and there was food in the water and when I asked for a new cup he was rude and then my friend ordered a chicken burger and it was un cooked and mushy we told him and he just got mad and was being rude and laughed at us when we told him that it was gross and it was uncooked and the place is just very un sanitary in general I highly don t recommend this place

Went here to support local and because we previously tried a Korean fried chicken place in Osprey Village which tasted awesome and never charged extra to have the sauce packed on the side. So we were disappointed that at this Kocodak place which is near home the original flavour fried chicken was bland, and if ordering any other flavour/style that they would charge extra if you wanted that sauce separate from the fried chicken just so that it doesn t get soggy by the time we walked home.

Just had lunch there with two buddies. Prices were reasonable, location is excellent, service is excellent, and everybody that works there was so kind. The chicken was incredible, cant recommend the cream onion chicken enough. Highly recommend checking out. Support your local businesses!

Never really had authentic Korean fried chicken before. Decided to give this place a try and Im glad I did! I got the spicy Garlic Pepper Chicken, it was delicious! The chicken was perfectly crispy with a nice spicy glaze. The staff were friendly as well, Id definitely recommend!

This is the best place for KFC (Korean Fried Chicken)! There is an easy to use app online but if you are ordering for your first time I suggest you go and dine in and ask questions about the menu. The chicken orders are good portions for the price! We usually get it with fries because they are good. I usually order a side of their sweet onion sauce because it goes so well with the chicken and fries for dipping. The people who work here are super friendly. We have ordered here several times now and have never had a bad order. If you like spicy I recommend the Garlic Pepper, if you have kids I recommend the sweet soy or no sauce and if you like a sweet and very slightly chicken order the seasoned. Everything is good here. The only downfall is the parking but it is still worth it to park down the street and walk a block or two.

This place is now Kocodak, and they serve Korean-style fried chicken. It was delicious! They give pretty large portions. I expected the spicy chicken to be a little hotter, and the meat is mostly dark meat, so if youre not into that it might not be your cup of tea. I would love some white meat options. Otherwise pretty good! Glad to see a Korean chicken place in town.

Disappointed after trying. The reviews are not accurate. These are my findings: 1. menu prices have increased but not updated in Google Map. Those who wrote the praising reviews have not tasted a good Korean fried chicken yet. 2. Price of half & half is a dollar higher then another competitor restaurant and the chicken is inferior to texture and taste. Its hard and not as fragrant.

Wanted to try out this new place, so walked in and apparently an hour wait to get chicken. Thats all good, lots of takeout orders, we order, come back in an hour. The chicken is good. I got the half and half, so half spicy sauce and half just plain chicken. Its very good chicken, and the sauce is good, not too spicy, most people could probably handle it, and it comes with a cool palate cleanser that I believe he said is some kind of Japanese pear? Tastes very good, very cool. I rated it 4 stars because of the price. Its very expensive; you do get a lot of chicken, a take out container full up, and I bought fries for 5 dollars, and you get a free drink, but it came out to 30 dollars without tip, for 1 order of chicken and fries. It is a lot of chicken, but in my opinion its a bit expensive to come back, the owner was very nice though, and I truly hope his business succeeds and people try this, Maple Ridge needs a good Korean Fried Chicken place like this.

This is the place. Been eating korean fried chicken for over 6 years now. My go too was Ajuker when it was on north road and Clarke. This place has taken over. The chicken is so moist, full of flavor. Do keep in mind that this is not fast food and it will take 20 mins to have the chicken made. Been working in the area so we can in our order even when dinning in. It is wild how Maple Ridge got such an amazing restaurant and one that all should visit. Start with the soy chicken and let your tongue take you on an amazing ride. Also cant go wrong with a side order of pickled radish. Whoever gave this place 1 star is clearly a competitor, they should be sacred.

Great Korean fried chicken place. It does take time to make it, but the result is pretty good. I only wish they were serving modern non-alcoholic beers like Partake or other microbrews. These taste really great and would have been a great pairing with the chicken.

Garlic spicy chicken is my favorite

Placed an online order and arrived to find they had given it to someone else somehow and already closed the kitchen.. ended up buying someone else s left behind order because I was hungry and out of time. Two stars because it was tasty, at least.

I had the seasoned chicken lunch special whish was fresh, tasty and good value.

Very tasty chicken and dumplings! Only suggestion would be to describe the dishes a little better on the menu.

Staff was very friendly. Vibe is good. You cannot do half and half with different flavours: Its set. Not sure why I cant do half and half with padak and yangnyum. Overall food was yummy for sure. Prefered the yangnyum sauce over the padak. I enjoy Chico Chicken better

Great place! I got a generous portion of delicious fried chicken that was exceptionally juicy and well seasoned, good fries, and they have beers. Well be back soon. Service was great, its a family place super clean and spacious. When they say spicy they mean it :)

Loved it. Great flavor and chicken was nice and juicy. Got the garlic & spicy pepper and seasoned flavors.

A good alternative to KFC in fried chicken, and some flavors typical of Korean cuisine. The spicy itch :( but it is very tasty, well attended. The space a bit messy.

Best chicken ever ! We ordered 3 different types Boneless soy Boneless green onion And Boneless garlic and Spicy pepper ( the best ) wow it was definitely worth the price The garlic and spicy pepper is delicious and a must try I added green onion to each of them so so good

Such a great experience. Nice atmosphere and tasty chicken! One of the men working generously gave us some free mayo chicken (that will be added to the menu soon). The mayo chicken was delicious!!

Excellent korean chicken, kind of expensive, but worth it you like korean chicken.

If you want great chicken, this is the place. Ordered Garlic and spice, wow it was HOT, but super flavourful! Freshly made to order. Will definetly be coming back!
