My husband and I enjoy coming here for breakfast. The food is good, the service is great and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

It was such an amazing way to spend the Truth and Reconciliation long weekend. Giving thanks to the true owners and custodian of this land we all call Canada. Sleeping in late, waking up and visiting Rickys Country Restaurant. Our server Cheska, was the best service ever, she attended to all our needs, keet the tea and coffee continually flowing, and shared great recommendation for what to have. We eventually settled with the delicious BC eggs benedict. We definitely will be returning back again soon.

Asked for no onions as I am allergic, and when I complained, I was called a liar by the owner. He called twice to call me a liar. I will never eat there again.

I have been a loyal customer of Rickies since I moved from Boston MA Never have a really had a problem since I always order the same thing. I came in a couple of days ago with my husband for lunch and granted it was busy we were seated quickly. However once we had ordered our food it took a little longer than usual but no biggie. Luch was busy. The problem here was our waitress. I personally felt she was a little rude and condescending. Our food came. I ordered lunch special which was half a grilled cheese sandwich which offered 3 cheeses outside and inside. I think I could have done a better job at home. You guys took almost 30 min. To serve us a mediocre grilled cheese sandwich that was not even crispy or had enough cheese in and on it. Some part werent even grilled. The French fries were extremely salty. I asked the waitress for more coffee even though she had gone by me at least 2 times before with the pot of coffee but never offered me any but did to the table right next to me. I actually grabbed my cup thinking she would offer me coffee but never did. She did her rounds and after 5 min of me asking her sh3 finally shows up with the pot of coffee when I was half ways done with my meal. Then my husband asks for napkins because here we are surviving with one napkin. I finished my meal and thats when she decided to bring the extra napkins I wont even gine a 1 star for her service because she was horrible. I know you know who you are. You pretended to be nice but your rudeness shined really bright. I will not be returning to this place again. This kind of restaurants feel entitled that because they have been in the community forever they can do no wrong. Well you will no longer be getting my hard earned money. Update: we decided to give Rickys a second chance and I have decided to change my review because of Christian our server! He was amazing and very attentive with my husband and I. He was polite and he was on top of e everything that we needed and he was just pleasant! Our chicken tenders were done to perfection and he gave us exactly what we asked for with a smile! Christian is definitely an asset to the restaurant.

Since covid this was the first time to dine in at a restaurant and i just want to say that i was impressed by all the safety measures and i felt safe. Also the BLT was delicious. I will be going back for breakfast next time.

A group of friends and I went there for breakfast and I had the breakfast platter , I was so impressed, the chicken was outstanding the hash browns were the cubed kind and nice and crispy . It only led to disappointment when we tried the same platter in Surrey and then again in Sechelt. In Surrey the shredded hash browns were undercooked and inedible. In Sechelt the chicken was yellow, soft and greasy, the shredded hash browns were raw and cold. I will only be eating at Ricky s in Maple Ridge from now on. They did an amazing job there

Cook nailed the meal. Im fussy. Wanted my eggs hard and Hashbrowns extra crispy. Sounds like a simple request but the number of places that cant do that is surprising. Had the brunch platter. With chicken, waffle, 3 bacon, 3 sausage, and Hashbrowns. Was good.

Terrible communication. Asked for no carrots in the salad salad came with carrots. Asked for only mayo and mustard on the burgers and was served relish as well. Food was overall mediocre. Would not recommend going here if you are expecting decent service, the food you ordered being correct and reasonable wait times. The server told me 15-20 mins. I waited 45. Cutlery was not given and I had to help myself to napkins from the front desk. I would give more grace if it had been busy but the restaurant was far from busy.

No AC? It was hotter INSIDE the restaurant than it was outside! 30 degrees outside!! The food was covered in grease, soggy fries.. your poor staff must be absolutely miserable in the kitchen why do these foreign owned businesses do the bare minimum for their paying customers and working employees.

Very impressed by the service and most of all the food. We had the full omelet meal chicken and waffles. Best ever with hand bust and dipped chicken. You can taste the difference. The waffle and strawberries and the burger with bacon and cheese. Prices comparable to other restaurants. Nice atmosphere. Just under $100 with tax and tip. Will definitely be back.

Food and service was great, i loved it there, and the servers were amazing. the only complaint i have is that i couldn t find a picture of the updated menu online. I come from far, so I would have preferred to see my options before i came here. Other that that (and that the kitchen was a little slow) I LOVED the costumer service. Totally recommend, worth it, come here.

We ate there last night for a birthday dinner. I ordered fish and chips. The fish batter was not crispy. In fact it was to pasty and soft. Should be crispy and edible. I basically just picked at the fish inside. You need to crisp up the batter, Maybe it was uncooked, I dunno. Hopefully just a mistake by cook.

I love Rickys but the service at this location is not great. The last two times I visited the service was terrible, took awhile to get a menu then after we ordered our drinks it took awhile for someone to take our food order a good 15 minutes or more and we dont go during busy rush hours either. The decor is very drab. We recently tried the Coquitlam Rickys location and it was 100% better.

I rarely eat there but on two different occasions there was a hair in my food. Disgusting.

The servers has NO SERVICE ETIQUETTE on this restaurant. Ignoring and leaving the guest waiting by the front door without acknowledging them even though the restaurant was not busy. If you are looking for standard service better check and dine-in Coquitlam Grill. You will get GREAT SERVICE there! YES! I am sure that I am giving right review on the right Ricky s location. We were there yesterday. Not hard to remember, intersection Lougheed Highway and Dewdney Trunk. Landmark near Staples, Canadian tire and Chrysler dealership.

Great service. The servers were at our table right away. The food came very quick and my eggs were cooked perfectly. It was a great break from the snow. Will definitely come back!!!!!

I love the food, I just wish it would arrive to me hot. 3 out of my last 4 visits portions of my food came cold. Not lukewarm - actually cold. :/ Going out to eat isnt cheap anymore. Restaurants are going to have to step it up if they want to thrive.

I believe in first impressions last . First time dining here for brunch and I didn t have good experience. Other customers that have ordered after us got their food first,which doesn t make sense. We waited a long time for our appetizer. And waited a little while again for our meal and finally my bennies came and they served it with the hard boiled eggs. The server didn t ask how I wanted my eggs, but assuming bennies would not be served hard boiled. Waited 40 minutes for our meal then waited again 15 minutes for them to make it right until I lost my appetite and cancelled my order. It s not the servers fault but I think the kitchen service could be better.

Great take out place. Many options for lunch and they open early so I can place big orders well ahead. Orders are accurate and customers compliment them. Some of the best dishes my guests love from Ricky s are the chicken tenders (true chicken breast), Reuben Sandwich amongst others. Highly highly recommend it. Service is great. I truly love this place and will continue to support it.

Service was absolutely awful. Instead of checkin in on our table or bringing the bill, clearing anything, the waitress decided to talk to a table of people she knew for 20 minutes, water cups sat empty for 45 minutes, food was just bad. All in all, 0/10

Our group was reserved for 20. 26 people came. Servers were on their game. Kitchen sent out EXCELLENT food in a really timely manner. SO impressed. Thank you.

Worst place to have breakfast. One thing they have been consistent with is disappointing customers each time. Have been here several times and have been disappointed each time. Staff with huge attitude. Very outdated and poorly cleaned interior. Surprised they are allowed to operate under these conditions. My last visit for sure. Save yourself disappoint and go else where.

Im pretty sure the issue of whos section was next would have been solved if either of them had helped us. Treated with absolute disrespect at this location today. My best friend and I, who is also a mixed race woman entered this location and stood in the waiting area while two servers who clearly saw us decided that having a personal conversation on the floor for five minutes was a better idea than seating us. We stood and waited longer until a third server appeared and greeted us. She then turned to the other two and asked whos next? We were the only ones standing there what do you mean whos next? Do people usually play hide a seek when waiting to be seated? Well be taking our business elsewhere from now on

Young waitress was not very aware. We were the only two in the restaurant and we waited 20 minutes for her to take our order Then an older lady started her shift. And she was nothing but sweet, kind and and aware. When I left I actually had to go tell her that her energy was amazing hopefully the young gal will learn from her.

The breakfast was good. I had the Farmers breakfast. 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausages, hash browns and toast.

Okay food

Stopped in because I was waiting on a service elsewhere, had already gone for a walk in the neighbourhood, and was in need of a restroom. I thought at first I would come in for coffee and to use the restroom, but then figured, why not grab some breakfast? The service was prompt and friendly, and the location has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, with lots of warm wood tones and booth seating. I ordered coffee ($3.79) and the California Benny with shredded hashbrowns ($18.99). The coffee was good not sour, as I find it is in so many restaurants these days. The food though was less appealing. The English muffin was not toasted, so it was just soft/spongy and raw tasting. The slices of tomato were kind of greyish pink. (I know the average store-bought tomatoes are mostly terrible, and these were no different. It s what they had to work with.) And the hollandaise sauce was bland. I m sure it from a mix, and though that s not my favourite option, I m ok with that, provided it has good flavour. In this case, it did not. So, I was left feeling like it wasn t really worth the calories. The hashbrowns were fine. I ate the pan-seared crispy portions (my favourite) and left the rest. So, a mixed review. But since we generally come to restaurants for the food, it was a bit disappointing.

went to lunch The price is around $20 including tip and tax. I chose meat so I wasnt surprised by the price, but the meat smelled bad. It smelled like an animal I went to eat pancakes the other day. In the photo, it is a set of three pieces and costs $1. I went there thinking it would be cheap, but it wasnt. $1 per ticket, I felt like I had been scammed somehow. I made regular pancakes

Ordered Eggs Benny and eggs hash brown bacon breakfasts. Did not like the hollandaise sauce in eggs benny. The use margarine we found out. Shredded hash browns were like rubber. Bacon was good. Waitress was great.

Hash browns tasted soggy and French toast was overcooked on one side and undercooked on the other. My sons waffle was not cooked all the way through.

Where to start? 11am 2 people. First, the waitress was trying to sit everyone together, and there was 2 families with loud children who were playing in the isle. Management did not inform the families that it is unsafe for the kids to run and play, and that the noise is bothering other patrons. We are only 2 people in our 50s who want a quiet breakfast. We had to ask for a quiet spot away from the noise. As soon as we sat down, we were being asked what drinks we wanted and we hadnt even put our belongings down. Once we ordered, food was fast and hot, but not a large portion on the plates...rather mediocre. Coffee was not kept full. As soon as we finished our last morsel of food the waitress grabbed our plates and put a bill on the table. She didnt ask if we were finished or if we wanted to order anything else. About 3 minutes later she was there asking if we needed the machine to pay. This is very unprofessional conduct hurrying people and making them feel uncomfortable. We couldnt even enjoy our coffee or conversation. I unfortunately do not recommend this location and proper training of staff is needed as well as management. I tried ordering food for pickup and spoke with the manager/owner of the establishment. I simply asked if he could send me a text when my order was finished because last time I waited in the waiting area of the restaurant for 10 minutes waiting for my food to be done. The response I got back was snooty and disrespectful. Jamie, the owner of Rickies, not only refused to send me a text, but refused to take my order all together. I hope nobody else has to experience the attitude that Jamie gave me. Just know he won t send a text when your order is ready. Just the other day my coworker ordered a chicken sandwich and when he opened it when he got back to work there was no chicken in it. This is the kind of stuff that shows me that Jamie is unfit to run a business. Customers should not get this kind of treatment.

Lots of delicious breakfast choices. I had the chicken and waffles smothered in Maple syrup with a side of bacon..so decadent! Service was good and coffee was plentiful.

I ordered cheese omelette. Came with a hair!? Yikes! My server immediately took care of it. That I was impressed with. I would come back, they showed they care. Also, the mens bathroom was filthy. I decided to take my wife out to breakfast the other day after a visit to Ridge Meadows Hospital. Being tired of same old, same old, expensive low quality food that is usually served warm vs hot at the White Spot I decide to try Rickys. Last time at Rickys was 2001 in Calgary. I was run by nice family that were from Abbotsford. Good service and food!!! So as I walked in to Rickys ... right in my face ... a sign saying that they prefer cash only. Ha ha not in our pockets!! There was some more to the sign that was taking attack of banks and ?? How immature is that!!! You want cash, you want an 18% tip because you dont pay well!!! So a wasted trip to Rickys. We moved on the the Home restaurant and received excellent service and food. Good sign!!! Only to direct non cash customers elsewhere.

Saddest place to dine. The lady who was serving us gave me that passive aggressive okayyyy when I mentioned that the glass which coke was filled had a bit of a smell ( it smelled like detergent residue mixed with food residue), than she kept on coming back on our table without giving us few minutes to decide, I asked for 5 mins to decide my meal and within a minute she came back again. Whats hilarious is , she never once came back during our meals to check if our food was ok or if I need another refill. I kept on trying to find her to get a refill but she was nowhere to be seen only to show up and leave a receipt and we waited to see if she will ask us if we need a payment machine but after few mins we paid on the counter and left. Food was okayish, avocado pieces were old . Food had no taste , fairly bland. Saddest meal to start a day. Never visiting this location again, very unwelcoming aura.

Definitely my favourite restaurant to go to . The only place I find that the food is always amazing , the place is cozy and the staff are always so friendly but last night was probably the best time I have ever been went in around 4 for the all day breakfast and as usual amazing food ! The older lady who was our server was super friendly , kept our coffee topped up , checked on us to see how we were doing and even told us we were free to take our time and finish our coffee after we were done eating and was just super friendly with us, sorry I didn t catch her name but would like to thank her and the chef for making our date night great ! Would recommend this place to anyone who wants great food , great service and quiet place to have a meal :)

This place can go unnoticed because of its location but trust me you should take the extra moment or two to find it. The service is friendly. They make you feel like youre eating at home. The food also has that home feeling to it. Ive tried the burger, tomato basil soup, and the philly cheese steak. I recommend all of them. Vegetarian options: They have great vegi burger.
