At Sunflower Cafe we work together as chef and gardener to grow, raise and prepare over 260 varieties of certified organic fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers, as well as pastured, free range humanely treated animals. We prioritize freshness, quality, attention to detail, an intention of care and satisfaction for our guests, and the elevation of the culinary craft. Instead of going farm to table, we brought the tables to the farm so that we can offer the freshest foods straight from our land to your plate.
Beautiful setting surrounded with flower garden and vegetable field! Such relaxed feeling sitting outside sipping wine while hearing birds chirping. Their food was indeed fresh, unique, and delicious! We had eggplants that melted in our mouth, gnocchi with crispy edge, and soft and juicy beef we savoured every bite. Wine list was excellent, well thought out to match and balance their veggie forward menu. Wish I had space for a cocktail as well. Every host and server was friendly, capable, and thoughtful. Very highly recommended!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and opted for the chef’s tasting menu. Each dish was a delightful surprise, with unique flavors and beautiful presentations. The highlight of the evening was the salmon—it was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor, easily one of the best I’ve had (I forgot to take a picture of 😬). The attention to detail in every course was impressive, with creative combinations that kept me excited for what was coming next. The ambiance was cozy yet elegant. fantastic dining experience for anyone looking to explore innovative cuisine.
We went to the Sunflower Cafe based on a recommendation by a friend. We visited there last week and we were not disappointed. The setting is quite unique in a charming tent-like setting adjacent to the farm. Despite its simplicity, it is an inviting and warm environment. We opted for the tasting menu with the matching wine pairing. After a refreshing Cucumber Amuse-bouche, we were presented with a delicious tomato salad, followed by a variety of wonderful wild mushrooms. Our first main course was a Salmon Filet, served with a delightfully crisp skin while still maintaining a moist and perfectly cooked centre The Beef Tenderloin that followed was cooked to perfection and melt-in-your-mouth tender. After a Chocolate Amuse-bouche, we ended the meal with a choice of desserts. It was impossible to pick a favourite out of the selection of Carrot Cake with Salted caramel gelato and carrot frosting, or the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Our service was very good, the wine paring made sense, and the whole experience was very enjoyable. A couple of improvements could be made by ensuring the hot items are served at a warmer temperature than they were. Also, servers should have an in-depth knowledge of the history and philosophy of the restaurant as one of the main reasons for the visit was to partake in a true Farm-to-Table experience. Overall, we found this to be a wonderful find in the Lower Mainland and without a doubt will return.
We held our monthly book club here and what a beautiful location. The gazebos were intimate and the staff was top notch. The food was fresh and we loved that everything was locally sourced. One of the best meals I have ever had. 100% recommend.
I’m surprised at how under the radar Sunflower Cafe is because this was such an amazing experience! It was true farm to table fine dining. I was so impressed with the food quality and presentation, the top-notch service and the super cute atmosphere! I definitely plan on coming back and introducing new people to this gem.
Had an amazing dinner today! That was a truly unique farm-to-table experience. The food was great, especially the desserts, which are absolutely unmatched and a real must try. On top of that, these guys provide exceptional service and have highly qualified kitchen staff. A huge thanks to the chef, the sous chef and the rest of the staff who made our visit so special.
Unforgettable birthday dinner for my wife. Our reservation was for 5:15 and it was pouring rain, however we had the most incredible time and the weather only added to the experience. We were warm under the patio heaters and they also supplied blankets for my wife. Exceptional service and a visit from the chef was a nice touch. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable about the menu and entire process that goes into the operation. The staff were extremely attentive and the service was the best we've had in a long time. Refreshing to see again! We will be back again for more!
This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. One of the best restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining at. The food is Michelin star quality and each dish is meticulously executed to perfection. To say I was speechless is understatement. Instead of farm to table, they bring the tables to the farm! Ingredients are grown on their farm or locally sourced. The menu changes depending on what’s in season. We went for our anniversary on Sunday, even though it was raining the outside tent was warm and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond to make our anniversary an unforgettable experience. Here are some photos from last night + the few other times we have been on sunny days. They have outdoor gazebos that are great for larger groups or date nights!
Just had the pleasure of trying out the new location at Heritage Park in Mission. The food was delicious as always - we will be back!
Had a great meal in a unique and fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommend the experience!
We started with drinks and delicious bread which we dipped into oil and vinegar concoction. We shared 3 different A La carte dishes Beetroot, tomato salad, Beef Tartare. These plates are not large but works for four people. My husband had the Berkshire Pork Chop very nice. Myself and son in law had the Beef tenderloin- very nice My daughter had the house made Agnolotti very nice For dessert we had the poached Okanagan Peaches and the blueberry tart Mmmm! Beautiful presented. The atmosphere was so different and enjoyable. Outside dining what a treat
Extremely beautiful? Yes. Extremely tasty? Yes. Extremely expensive? Yes. Small portions? Absolutely. Long wait times? Of course. We spent 2.5 hours here, continuously waiting for our food to be prepared, which was a bit exhausting. The atmosphere and setting are amazing, but I didnt really notice much that indicated the food was farm-fresh, aside from the location. The sides and vegetables were minimal, so if your farm doesn t produce enough, maybe consider sourcing them elsewhere. Still, I was pleasantly surprised to find such a unique place here in Canada, especially far from the mainland.
A great dining experience and hidden gem in Maple Ridge! Fantastic high quality farm fresh food! Great Service & Atmosphere! We will definitely come back again and highly recommend! :)
Despite telling them 3 times that I have celiac, (when I reserved, when I emailed them asking if they could do the tasting menu gf, and in person when we arrived) and being assured that its fine and they happily serve celiac customers all the time and its super easy to accommodate (a fact which they even advertise on their website!), I did not have a great experience, and would advise against any fellow celiacs from eating here. I was served bread that looked suspiciously normal, so I immediately asked if it was gf, and the server assured me it was. I was excitedly about to take a bite, bread literally half way to my mouth, when the server came back to the table to tell me that it was in fact, not gf! They then didnt offer me anything else, or try to make it right or make up for it in any way. Im sorry, but when youre spending nearly $300 on a fancy dinner like this, your expectations for service are a lot higher than normal, and any other fine dining restaurant would have gone out of their way to rectify the situation. I got a half hearted sorry and an at least your husband can eat it! Then when it came time for dessert the server offered 2 different options, and I had to ask if either of them were gf (which they werent) and had to remind them again that I have celiac and cant have normal carrot cake or bread pudding, thanks for asking though. They then said that the chef would be happy to make me something gf, they do it all the time, not a problem. A different person brought the dishes to the table and said heres your ~gluten free~ dessert with such sarcasm and distain that I was speechless and my husband gave me a look that conveyed something which I cannot repeat in a polite Google review. I ate it because I was hungry (it took over 2.5 hours for them to serve 6 small courses) otherwise I might have thought it wasnt actually gf from his attitude alone, let alone my experience so far. I hate writing this review because I was so excited to support a local small business, especially one doing such cool and innovative things, but I was just so, so disappointed with what happened. I know that serving people with allergies is hard, I worked in kitchens for several years, but that is no excuse for the negligence and attitude I experienced. I will never come back here, which is a shame because the farm was really cool and the food I could eat was pretty good.
A Hidden Gem: Sunflower Café Delivers a Farm-to-Table Delight From the moment we arrived at Sunflower Café, we knew we were in for something special, though we could hardly have guessed just how extraordinary the experience would be. Tucked behind an unassuming entrance that more closely resembled a farm driveway, the cafés initial modesty belies the culinary adventure that awaits inside. The staff greeted us with warmth and attentiveness, setting the tone for what would be a perfectly paced, comfortable dining experience. The café itself is picturesque, with outdoor seating nestled among lush vegetable patches, evoking the farm-to-table concept that underpins the entire experience. We opted for the tasting menu, a decision we certainly did not regret. Each course was a revelation, showcasing the freshest ingredients that clearly come straight from the surrounding garden. Every bite felt like a tribute to nature s bounty, masterfully prepared. The beef tenderloin and gnocchi were standout dishes, with the tenderloin cooked to perfection and the gnocchi light, fluffy, and indulgent. The heirloom tomato and cucumber salad was equally delightful, bursting with flavor and freshness that can only come from farm-fresh produce. Every dish was meticulously crafted, with an undeniable passion shining through in both presentation and taste. Though the chefs origin remains a mystery, its clear that Sunflower Café is more than just a business it s a passion project. The love and dedication to the craft are evident in every aspect of the meal. Without question, this is a hidden gem, far surpassing any expectations we might have had. We ll definitely be back for more. If youre looking for a farm-to-table experience with thoughtful, inspired cuisine, Sunflower Café is not to be missed. Thank you!
Beautiful and tasty farm to table food. Nice quiet location in the country. Service is great and friendly.
The best restaurant experience weve had in the past year! The kind and quick, team-oriented service, a stunning venue, and food that was both imaginative and satisfying made our visit unforgettable. Dining as the evening sun illuminated the farm and gardens was truly spectacular, adding a magical ambiance. It s worth noting that you are dining outside, so dressing according to the weather is advisable. However, the attentive staff are ready to ensure your comfort with heaters and blankets if needed. I highly recommend booking ahead to get a gazebo for a uniquely intimate dining experience. Dont miss out on this gem!
Underwhelming, they need to be way more generous with the vegetables. Our order taker could not answer any questions because he hadnt tried any food himself and I think he was one of the owners. The protein was delicious and nicely cooked, Ill give them that. My halibut came with beurre blanc and some vegetables. However my wifes pork chop came with a tiny clump of shredded kohlrabi. For a vegetable farm ? In prime season ? How about some colour. I didnt take a photo unfortunately. The image of a lonely pork chop on a plate and virtually nothing else will not soon be forgotten.
If I could give 10 stars I would! Everything was exquisite, an absolute gem.
This was our second visit to the beautiful sunflower cafe. How this place doesn t have a Michelin star is astounding to me- the food truly deserves it! The ambiance here is amazing- the views and smells make this such a unique and beautiful experience for any occasion! As an added bonus, I d highly suggest asking for Lilly to be your server! By far, the best server we have ever had the pleasure of having of any restaurant visit.
What a unique place! Its a bit far to go for me but well worth the treat. The setting is unique - literally in the farm - but beautiful. I particularly love those resin built up tables and cozy gazebos. The dishes are delicious and esthically first class. The service is wonderful - the staff is very attentive and helpful. I will definitely make that 60 km return trip again. Since the menu is seasonal - based on what the garden produces - it will be an interesting experience going at different growing seasons of the year.
Star of the show was the cauliflower hummus. That thang was bussin how they make cauliflower taste like that??? Worth the hour trek from Vancouver. Great hidden gem in the lower mainland. Amazing how they can do so much out of the trailer kitcyen
Gorgeous relaxed garden setting, family friendly service and spectacular food. Go for the tasting menu and get the wine pairing. You will not be disappointed, I promise.
Beautiful place, excellent service, delicious food, congratulations to the chefs and employees!! Parking: Spacious place and many spaces Kid-friendliness: Excellent
Went for birthday dinner at the Sunflower Cafe. This is a wonderful and unique dining experience. We were seated in one of the Gazebos. That alone was a nice touch, to have our own space to enjoy a private conversation. We had the tasting menu as we wanted to sample a variety of dishes. It was wonderful! The service was excellent with great car taken to be sure we were served promptly and courteously. I highly recommend eating here. Vegetarian options: They will be sure to make you something special if you let them know when you reserve.
Food was good, but I expected I can get more vegetables.
My partner and I went as a date night & tried their tasting menu. The service was initially great and all the starters were really delicious. We decided to add on the tagliatelle as we weren t satiated. It could ve just been us, but we found it extremely salty. Both my partner and I have never sent food back to the kitchen, but it was to the point where we couldn t eat it and decided to say something. We called over the first server that noticed us, which hadn t been our server throughout the night. She made an unimpressed face when we apologized & said it was too salty, promptly turned around to take it back without saying anything more than ok . Our original server then came back and said the kitchen would remake it. When the kitchen remade it, it was noticeably smaller and still unfortunately just as salty. We proceeded to get the dessert maybe 2 minutes after we had received the remade tagliatelle, which felt rushed in comparison to the rest of the night and we left 30 minutes before our reservation time was over. We couldn t eat the pasta but we also didn t ask for the dish to be comped. There was a definite shift in quality of service / attitude once we said something about the dish which was unfortunate.
We are here to celebrate a birthday. The food is good and the service is enthusiastic. The pastoral scenery away from the hustle and bustle is even more attractive. The outdoor photos before the sun goes down are very eye-catching (because they all have the avatars of our best friends, they are not included) (Environment map)), it s worth checking in for those who like to eat and drink Friends who eat a lot should think twice, the portion is small and the price is not cheap Disadvantages: We reserved seats in advance. When booking, we told the restaurant that 5 people a birthday cake. The restaurant did not proactively tell us that it would charge an additional service fee of $5 per person (tips will charge extra). I thought about the cake fee issue that day and sent emails and text messages for consultation, but no one responded. Also tried calling but no one answered. After arriving at the restaurant, I specifically consulted the waiter before sitting down, but there was no positive response... so of course we didnt have it by default! But when we took out the cake and were about to cut it, a man who might be the manager appeared and said that we should either charge a fee ($25) or let each of us consume one of their desserts to get rid of the cake fee (about $17 a day). portion, 5 people is 85 dollars), we said that we could not accept being charged afterwards (because we did confirm repeatedly), and would rather take the cake away and not eat it in... Although, in the end, the manager learned that we had repeatedly confirmed Due to the situation, they also waived the cake service fee for us and sent us one of their desserts to express their apology, but this communication process really disappointed us
The food and flavours were incredible. Absolutely love that everything is locally grown. On the pricier side for sure, that caught us a bit off guard. Won t find a bottle of wine for under $60.
Beautiful venue! With exquisite food!
Oof, not going to bore you with a long review and ruin anything by describing the food. Just come and try this place, it s AMAZING!
One of my happy places. It s perfect. Food : 5/5
Top notch service and food. Would return.
Very good experience to dine in this hidden gem. Food is quite fresh and delicious. Staff is nice and caring. High recommended
This was a delightful experience in an unusual farm setting where many of the vegetable and greens served have come right from the fields seen around you. The feeling is homestyle rustic and casual comfortable. The service was outstanding, accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable. Still a few little operational wrinkles but steps are being taken to address these. The menu offers a small but good selection of mains and a wonderful selection of creative appetizers and openers. An excellent range of BC VQA wines are available. The tasting menu for sharing is an attractive option. Overall definitely an enjoyable and unique experience worth the drive to their rural location. Reservations are highly recommended.
French on vacation in Whonnock we had dinner on June 19th we chose the 5-course discovery menu accompanied by wines Very good cuisine based on vegetables from the adjoining vegetable garden and pleasant service We spoke with one of the French-speaking chefs from Montreal We recommend this address
Superb little hidden gem. The food was innovative and a flavour party. We love that it is all local and so fresh with excellent vegetarian options. We loved our spring dinner and are looking forward to what they are serving this summer! The service was excellent and eating outside in a cabana was really fun.
What a local gem, very simple but charmingly rural and authentic. We had wanted to go for some time and it was worth the wait. Dinner was efficient and delicious and obviously very local for the most part. We will be regulars to see the menu change for seasonal availability and to enjoy the excellent food.
Hey these guys are great & should be supported like crazy. They grow vegetables to donate to the school district & are trying to source for the food bank as well. This is the model of sustainability that we need to change the way government and corporations control our food sources! Make sure you make a reservation, this isnt some cookie cutter pop-up fancy social house or bistro. These guys are the real deal. Well done lads!
The tasting menu was amazing, everything was perfect.
We had such a lovely time at the Sunflower Cafe!! Going there is such a lovely experience. On the farm it truly feels like you aren t in Vancouver - it feels like a little vacation!! The food is INCREDIBLE - so fresh and delicious and the menu is so intentional. What truly sets it apart though is the service. We had the pleasure of being served by Kristoff (apologize if spelling is wrong) and he made the evening! His knowledge of the food and the wines was truly incredible and the passion that he had for the restaurant was so evident. He is someone who it is obvious truly loves his job and he made the experience for us last night!! Thank you Kristoff!!!
Amazing farm to table experience... a little hidden gem!
Amazing experience & Amazing food. Amazing staff & Amazing experience. Oh I said that already . Definitely a real Gem of a place .. Everyone should try this dining experience
I stumbled into a cafe to avoid traffic jams...a high-end restaurant named after the cafe...the ingredients were of the highest quality. Since we were driving and it was Mothers Day, many of the customers around us were dressed up, so we were a little embarrassed by our casual style. Parking: The entrance is hard to find, but there is space. Kid-friendliness: There is no childrens menu, but families can order multiple meals in small portions.
Honestly one of, if not the best dining experience in the LM. The staff are amazing and the experimentation with the dishes delivered a sense of discovery not usually found here. Worth the trip to Whonnock!
Everything from start to finish was such an amazing experience! Instead of bringing the farm to the table, the table is on the farm in the most exquisite way. The staff was so knowledgeable, kind, welcoming The Chefs, Somalia, the pairing and elements added to each dish was a true experience. I highly recommend
Everything about this place is top notch, its cozy, comfortable and catered to your every need. The food is rich, luxurious, decadent and delicious. Thank God theres someone local bringing local to the locals. From farm to table at the table at the farm. Highly recommend. Food will never taste the same.
Chef Christopher , catered my daughter( freb22) & son in laws( feb23) birthday surprise dinner For 19 adults and 5 kids , we still rave about The exceptional food he and his team prepared., I will totally be doing this again, Thank you from the bottom of my heart and stomach Thank you - what an incredible feast Vegetarian options: Couscous, vegetable tagine Roasted vegetables, Dates, nuts,& seeds Kid-friendliness: Fresh homemade chicken tenders and dipping sauce
It was just a perfect dinner. There menu is creative, and all the foods are beyond imagination. I just said WOW after my first bite. The server was what I expected from my old days. She made me laugh so much with positive&happy energy.
Thoroughly enjoyed the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairings. It was also very nice to be able to purchase a bottle of wine to take home afterward.. Well be back again in spring to check out the new offerings. Cant wait.
First time there and the experience was completely unforgettable. The chef came to our table offer to us to try/share some different plates and OMG very good decision! My family and especially me got impressed!!! All the dishes were so good so tasty and definitely we are going back when the summer starts.. even though wasn t that cold and neither raining. The service always on time, friendly staff and cozy atmosphere.
These folks are doing it right. This is a place to support. Eat everything here. It s outstanding.
I can confidently say that this restaurant deserves 7 stars, even though that rating doesnt officially exist. The experience I had at this charming countryside restaurant was truly exceptional. The food was on par with some of the best Michelin-starred restaurants Ive been to, yet the atmosphere was relaxed and unpretentious. Every dish was expertly crafted and bursting with flavor, made from the freshest local ingredients available. Will definitely coming back.
Outstanding Brunch. All seating is in the tent or in one of five gazebos, so it can be cool, wet and or windy. They have curtains now so the sun doesnt shine right on you. Weve returned several times as the food is outstanding. There are no cushions so unless you like sitting on a wood seat you should bring a blanket or cushion to sit on. One of the best meals your likely to experience.
I recently visited the sunflower cafe with my family for Mother s Day. I wanted to treat my mother to a nice meal for Mother s Day so we came here. The location and atmosphere is very beautiful. The food itself was also very beautiful, albeit quite small portions. My biggest concern is the way you are presented with the bill here. There is no physical copy of a bill, nor are you presented with a breakdown of the price. I was handed a machine with the price of the meal, and that was that. We were a party of 5, so it was quite an expensive bill. During our dining experience, my grandmother had changed her mind on an entree after ordering it, and my father went to get the server and let them know of the change. Well this original entree that we never received remained on our bill, 41$ for a pork chop that we never received. I didn t notice this error until after paying, as I did not receive a breakdown of the bill until the receipt was e-mailed to me. It has been over a week now and I still have not received a refund for this meal we didn t receive. I have e-mailed the restaurant about this error, and I continue to have to send follow up e-mails regarding this error. It feels as if they hope I will just let it go. I find this to be highly unprofessional, as this is not a small sum of money. I would expect as a business, that customer concerns and business errors would be handled in a timely matter. Because of this experience, I would not dine there again, nor will my family be dining there again.
Food was delicious but quite expensive and maybe on the smaller side.
Rating: 6 out of 5 stars I recently had the opportunity to eat at the sunflower in maple ridge my experience with the server Anna exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and she had a amazing energy and loved explaining the dishes with great energy and knowledge
We celebrated our 22nd anniversary yesterday!!! So we ditched the teenagers ( They actually ditch us ) and went to the Sunflower Cafe in Maple Ridge. I am still thinking of the food today that s how amazing the food was! They are small plates to share We started off with Cucumber Salad, Grilled Local asparagus,Parisienne Gnocchi(Maitake mushrooms, parmesan cream, poached egg, brown butter bread crumbs) Beef Tenderloin (Potato champ, grilled onion, peppercorn sauce) And of course we had some freshly made cocktails The dessert was unbelievable. You need to check this place out everything was Atmosphere Cocktails Service Food The Chef is unreal
Amazing fresh food!
This charming restaurant has beautiful, delicious food and awesome servers. Evidently the chef and mixologist are so passionate cause it s all just so interesting and yummy. I liked the chill and quiet atmosphere, and the gazebos are so cute. My only critique is of the name- it sounds like a coffee shop.
Beautiful ambiance, delicious food & drinks, great service. They do everything right but the overall experience is not enjoyable. This was our second time there and they keep running out of food and drink options, considering the menu is already limited. No bread both times and the portions are really small. Does not justify the price.
Good refreshing dining experience with excellent service and reasonable prices. Parking: Parking easy
We visited Sunflower Cafe for the first time this evening. What a gem!! That was the best dinner we have had in a long time and was definitely worth every penny. We loved the small plates/sharing aspect. It s a beautiful location with incredible food. Yes, portions are small but it s grown there / local and that is worth it. Such creative, quality dishes. They have a good thing going here! The whole experience is 10/10. Don t skip the bread and cultured butter. So good.
We visited this delightful farm based outdoor dining spot on a sunny day. We were greeted with the sound of gentle music as we steeped into the dining area. The wooden gazebos and the colourful flowers in the dining created a welcoming whimsical setting. The chef uses local resources to create dishes that are visually appealing The there was a selection of cocktails, wine, beer and non alcoholic beverages. There were some nice BC wines. I was particularly pleased to see small batch wines like Daydreamer on the list. Food that we ordered: -Grilled Asparagus: Leek vinaigrette, pistachio -House made tagliatelle: Manilla clams, garlic butter, wild asparagus, brown butter bread crumbs -Wild Pacific Halibut: Halibut stuffed morel mushrooms, peas, asparagus, samphire, beurre blanc -Chocolate & Hazelnut: Chocolate cake, salted hazelnut ganache, chocolate mousse, candied hazelnuts The standout for the evening was the tender grilled asparagus which was nicely seasoned with vinaigrette, topped with a nice pistachio crunch and beautifully plated. The halibut was nicely put together with many thoughtful components. The pea purée was silky smooth and the foam top exquisitely done. The morels looked juicy but I did not enjoy the stuffed fish texture nor the taste of the filling. Most unfortunate of all, the entire cut of halibut was overcooked so was quite dry. Tagliatelle: this dish could have used some extra seasoning or fresh Parmesan cheese to add more flavour Chocolate Hazelnut dessert: good mix of textures Facilities: -Larger covered seating area by the kitchen trailer and bar as well as individual gazebos in the garden. -Washrooms on site -Free parking on designated gravel areas Overall, the setting is lovely, drink list is good, menu is nicely curated and our server was cheerful and welcoming. We have previously enjoyed dinner here so although the food execution this trip was a bit disappointing, we would consider revisiting if we were in the area again.
This place is a definite memory maker: rustic ambiance combined with the fine (no, finest!) dining. Our decision to eat here was relatively last minute, and we were very lucky they were able to accommodate us and seat us in one of their gazebos. The gazebo itself promised the rest of the evening was going to be special, with its view of the gardens (lush in spite of it being early in the year) yet also gave one the feeling of private importance. The sun and light breeze only augmented the thrill of eating outside. My son ordered the tasting menu for the three of us, accompanied by the wine tasting. In spite of not reserving this ahead, the staff enthusiastically accepted the challenge. You can view the current tasting menu online so there is no need to describe each dish, but I do want to say each one was a work of art, in both presentation and taste with unique, mouth-watering flavours that made it difficult to savour slow enough so that you didnt miss anything. Every dish used local fare and included items from their garden which were complimented perfectly with BC wines. Thanks to all: chef, service staff, floor manager, and owner, all warm, welcoming and friendly. Thanks for the memory!!
Fresh to table bit pricey but worth the taste.
Absolutely the best dining experince Ive had in a while, We had a group tasting menu for $80 a person, You can tell the dishes were well thought out and tasted cohesively with each ingredient mentioned, True Farm To Table concept with outdoor gazebo dining! So glad to have found this gem! Thankyou very much, will definately be back soon! Parking: Gravel parking lot
Amazing is all I can say.
Gorgeous atmosphere, nestled in a peaceful small farm. The food is absolutely delicious, and the cocktails are artfully crafted. I definitely recommend experiencing this place!
Im not a big vegetable lover but the vegetarian dishes we had were so well balanced. The fresh picked herbs were vibrant, the edible flowers playful and exciting while adding lovely flavor combinations. The caliber of the dishes were phenomenal. It was exactly what I hoped for from a fine dining establishment. Congratulations to the chefs and staff for a wonderful experience. Looking forward to my next visit.
So good.
Beautiful farm location and a nicely put together tasting menu. Probably the best restaurant in the valley! Parking: Gravel
This is the best restaurant in the Fraser Valley. The food is unbelievably delicious, the staff are kind and friendly. They even went out of their way to make a kid-friendly dish for a three year old at our table. We brought friends from Europe and they said it was their favourite restaurant they ve ever been to.
One of the best meals of my life. The atmosphere is beautiful and unique. Im going to keep this short and sweet. I am so happy with my meal there.
Enjoyed a beautiful happy hour with my mom. strongly recommend this establishment. The service was top shelf and the food was amazing. Im definitely going to revist this special unique diving experience
Incredible, already planning our next two trips.
Wonderful happy hour today We will definitely return The chefs really now what there are doing Food : 5/5
Beautiful setting and friendly service. Surprisingly limited vegan options for what is essentially a vegetable farm. I emailed in advance to inform them about my dietary restrictions like their website suggests and was surprised that the only vegan entree was a plate of raw vegetables with a bland vinaigrette. It came across as an afterthought as it lacked seasoning, flavour, and substance. I love farm to table eating and was excited to try Sunflower Cafe but left disappointed.
We enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere and the great food during happy hours, we ordered all of the 8 for the happy hours menu, they were delicious.
My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful meal at the Sunflower Cafe last weekend. The food was excellent as always, and the setting is one of the most beautiful in the lower mainland. But the service was possibly the best Ive ever encountered. This story goes back to the last time I tried to eat here -- sadly, upon arrival we learned that there was a problem with the kitchens propane delivery and they were unable to seat us. We later received an email offering a free meal for our trouble. Not only did they honour their offer over a year later, the owners covered our entire bill for the two of us. We were also moved to one of the nicest tables in the tent, and our pug was welcome to join us (under the table). It was a really memorable time! I highly recommend the Sunflower.
This place is an absolute gem. So happy to have this in our community! The food is superb, so is the service and the ambience. It s all farm to table and they are only open in the warmer months, hence the higher prices. But totally worth it for a special occasion.
We had the tasting menu, and it was one of the best meals of my life! The atmosphere is beautiful with the flowers and vegetable gardens visible from your seat. The serving staff were very attentive. I m looking forward to the next time we dine here.
Amazing food. So creative. Just go! Food : 5/5
I tried the tasting menu. Their veggie dishes are amazing but the service is lacking and inconsistent. The salad was super fresh and prepared beautifully. Was so impressed we decided to add on the beef tartare. When asking the server to add the tartare, she questioned me back whether or not it was on the menu. Didn t seem like she knew what was on the menu. We then waited over 30 minutes for the main (halibut). Had to flag down the owner to get it rushed or else I m not sure how much longer it would be. The halibut was overcooked and dried. We were so hungry from waiting so didn t bother to complain. When I almost finished the dish, I found a foreign fibrous piece on the plate drenched in sauce. You can see it in the video too but I was so hungry and didn t notice it until then. I notified the server and she went to ask the kitchen what it is. She came back and told me they dry the fish using these blue towels and that s where it was from. Server was indifferent about the whole thing, said sorry and left. The table beside us had gotten the same batch of halibut at the same time as us. They complained about how overcooked it was and the owner had apologized profusely and gave them a complementary meat course with wine pairing. I wasn t expecting anything in return but for us to be treated that differently is disappointing and leaves a terrible impression. You would think finding non-edible items would be more severe than overcooked food.
This is a hidden gem in Metro Vancouver/Fraser Valley area. We went for happy hour after hiking. Its a pretty outdoor gazebo and garden. Food is very tasty with fresh ingredients and professional display. All the dishes are way beyond our expectations. We are really enjoying it. We will definitely go back for dinner.
I went for my birthday and the food was DELICIOUS and such a wonderful experience. It s a farm to table concept with crops grown just steps away which is so cool. We got the kale salad and the cauliflower to start with and halibut and the gnocchi as mains. I would 100% go back for the kale salad and gnocchi alone. For dessert, we go the corn cake/bread? It was just okay. We wanted to get the other dessert but due to dietary restrictions we couldn t get it. Also we went in the evening and it was quite chilly! Instead of drinks we got tea and they refilled our mugs with hot water when our tea got cold. They also provided us with blankets which was nice! 10/10 recommend this place.
After being recommended by friends, we decided to go to Sunflower Cafe for our first year wedding anniversary, and 10 year together anniversary. We booked a reservation online, and mentioned the special occasion in the comments as well as selecting the tasting menu. When we arrived, the host was verbally short and rushed, and wanted us to confirm immediately that it was the tasting menu we wanted. We wondered if there was an option to change our mind, and she reluctantly said yes and that wed need to let the kitchen know asap. We were sat at a two top near the kitchen, and greeted/served by the owner. There was no ask about what we wanted for dinner, or what the options were, and directed towards the QR code on the table. It was a bit confusing as we felt rushed to decide based on the hosts recommendations, and made a quick decision to continue with the tasting menu with very little guidance from our server. Dinner was tasty, food was on point, and plating was beautiful. The kitchen was fantastic and carried the experience for the evening. We were a bit disappointed as no staff took any interest in engaging with us. When dialogue occurred, it was prompted by us and mainly focused on how great the Cafe has been doing (something we were genuinely happy to hear about). No questions were asked of us in return, and no one acknowledged the special occasion we had made note of. At the end of the meal, we asked for the bill and were brought a debit machine with the total on it - no itemized bill, and felt pressured to pay immediately. This was hugely unprofessional, regardless of our choice to order the tasting menu. We still ordered beverages and an itemized bill should always be provided to guests and time given to them to review it. Unsure why SC decides to do this, but would strongly advise to request an itemized bill when ready to leave as that is not industry standard. We left feeling dismissed by staff (not all - some were really wonderful), and that we should be grateful to have dined there, rather than being appreciated for coming. For the price of the product, the kitchen and ambiance were great, but the service and attentiveness need to match the other elements equally, and genuinely.
It was a great experience to have a meal outdoor next to the farm. First time having farm to table. Food was great. I enjoyed the slow cook cabbage.
just drove up based on a google search, looking for a place to eat, and didnt realize that this was a very small and intimate dining area on the foothill of a working farm. we looked in and it does look very nicely appointed with gazebos you can be sat in, and covered, but open to air seating otherwise. will make reservations and come back to sample the wares.
Frustrating to get a hold of to confirm menu selections resulting in a need for a change of restaurant at the last minute. Very unsure of what allergens are present in the menus and responses seem to vary depending on the time of day and who answers the phone. Frustrating considering the reputation the space has but it seems our experience has mirrored others.
Been wanting to visit the cafe for a while and we finally made it there on a bright sunny day. The home made butter and buns were fresh n yummy and the coffee was refreshing. We shall be back for more. Food : 5/5
Twice now, an incredible experience. Beautiful view of the farm with outdoor gazebos. Highly recommend the tasting menu + wine tasting. One of the more unique experiences in the Maple Ridge area.
What a wonderful surprise..chanced on this fantastic little find. Delicious beers I did not know, delicate appetizers, and a perfect dessert...not too sweet. The perfect farm to table experience. A joy to be repeated! Vegetarian options: Excellent vegetarian choices, all fresh, perfectly seasoned and accompanied. Walked away from dinner pleasantly satisfied and delighted by the experience.
This is an incredibly good restaurant. Fine dining doesnt have to be ridiculously expensive, and this is by far the finest dining restaurant in Maple Ridge, probabley in the lower mainland, especially for the price. If you THINK fine dining is about dressing up and fancy cutlery, then go spend your money add a mediocre Steakhouse elsewhere in Maple Ridge, or go to Gotham in Vancouver and spend a lot more for a good steak. However, if you KNOW fine dining is actually about the food and a unique atmosphere, get a reservation at the sunflower. Youll get a world-class steak for less than half the cost as Gotham paired with local vegetables and stuff youve probably never heard of. The atmosphere is a semi indoor farm setting, and if you pay attention youll even see the staff run out to the Garden to get fresh cilantro for your meal. Its definitely nicer in warmer temperatures but even when the temperature gets below zero it doesnt get too cold although I like to wear a jacket in the fall or spring. The desserts, along with the rest of the food, will blow your mind and your taste buds. Honestly, I was a cook and chef for years and this is one of the best restaurants Ive ever been to. I cant recommended it enough.
I never give perfect reviews but this place earned the exception. Incredibly tasty and artistic plates served at tables just meters away from where the very ingredients are harvested. Great concept and a stunning dining experience you simply have to try.
Best. Dinner. Ever. And now open through December! Food
AMAZING EXPERIENCE, SUCH GOOD FOOD
Amazing experience and meal! We did the tasting menu and wine pairing which was exceptional. Hearing the stories of how ingredients were picked right there on the farm was special. Locally sourced products otherwise and unique bottles of wine. The staff went above and beyond to make the evening special! We went on a winter evening and the outside tent was warm and comfortable. I would go back in the daytime so I could see the surrounding farmland where the food came from.
Just amazing. The food, the service, the vibes. Love it!
I can t say enough wonderful things about this local gem. Everything from the initial contact, catering and clean up was seamless and we had the most amazing night. Chris created a custom menu for us (including making a separate meal for one of our guests with dietary restrictions), had reasonable pricing, and one of the best meals we ve ever had. It was such a treat to have such an excellent meal and service in the comfort of our own home. One of my favourite things was that Chris even made my kids chicken fingers I had set aside for them for dinner so we didn t have to lift a finger, such a thoughtful touch! We were so impressed with their food and the service, I swear they left our kitchen cleaner than when they got here! I love that this is a local establishment, if anyone is looking to treat themselves or someone they love I highly recommend hiring them to private cater your event such a relaxing and enjoyable evening! Thank you Sunflower Cafe!
Fantastic food, charming, enthusiastic staff and chef...the only place in Maple Ridge where you can get true farm to table fine dining.... like actual, real fine dining. By far the best food I have ever had in Canada outside of a major city.
This place is top notch! There is a reason it gets so many 5 Star Reviews. This is by far our favourite place to go out for brunch/dinner, we ve been coming since it opened last year and we brought some sceptical friends with us last night, it poured rain on us and they still absolutely LOVED it. The owner Rayne is wonderful and came to chat with us multiple times and the chef Chris also came to chat with us several times to make sure we were happy. We love the new addition of their beautiful bar and drink menu featuring local BC alcohol. It is so exciting to see how much they have grown since opening last year. We throughly enjoyed ourselves and had one of the best evenings out in forever. Highlights: - Cafe is adorable, it s outdoors on a beautiful farm and they have an enclosed dining tent or the option to sit in private gazebos. In the summer time you are surrounded by giant sunflowers, and beautiful gardens. And in the evenings you can hear the frogs. If you get chilly in the evening they offer blankets and they are working on getting more heating installed this year. - They are a true farm to table restaurant. Almost everything they serve is from the farm (produce, eggs and meat). They practice farming that is free range, organic, no till and regenerative so you know you are getting the best quality/nutritionally dense food possible. - Their Chef Chris, along with Sous Chef Justice, is a mastermind in the kitchen. I have never tasted anything he s made that I haven t loved. He creates dishes that are like art. Beautiful and incredibly delicious. You can tell this is his passion and he is proud of his creations. Even their plates are beautiful and unique. Because they are a farm to table/locally sourced ingredients restaurant their menus are seasonal and change depending on what is available. Always something new to try each season/each year. - Service is always incredible. They care about their customers so much and always go above and beyond to make sure you have a good experience. This is where you go for the Vancouver fining dining experience at Maple Ridge prices. This is a business that deserves to grow further. I hope they continue to flourish. Definitely a hidden gem of Maple Ridge.
Love, love, love this place ! True farm to table in the most idealic setting. The food is truly the best Ive had in the Vancouver area... and well worth the drive if youre coming from the city. Hospitality is top notch and gaurenteed youll have a memorable experience. More of THIS please, in the world. Enjoy :)
Food was amazing, creative and prepared with love. Service was good, seems like the owner was hosting, bartending, bussing tables etc there were no other service staff. Disappointing that they do not have a paper menu or paper receipts, we were dining with an elderly woman and it would have been nice to accommodate her. Also no service out there so had to flag down server to get wifi password. I understand the menu changes daily but it would be a good idea to print off menus as needed as the QR code turns off older potential customers, not everyone has a smartphone! Would love to see more variety from the bar but it s still early in the season!
Wonderful and amazing! Excellent food, super service and amazing ambience! Will be back for regularly
Second time dining in this lovely gem in maple ridge area. We tried their brunch and it was absolutely amazing! We tried their dinner menu tonight for Mother s Day and it is another stunning experience. This is definitely my favourite restaurant and everyone need to give them a try. You wouldn t be disappointed. The staff were amazing. Their cocktails were absolutely amazing and food are definitely top notch!!! Thanks for the lovely meal and thanks for the chef and of course everyone who share their evening with us. Will see you again real soon!!!!
Food was fantastic! Bring warm clothes. Excited to watch this hidden gem develop and grow.
What can I say but WOW! today my family and I spent mothers day at Sunflower Cafe. We tried the ENTIRE dinner menu, everything and it was all incredible. My favorites were the gnocchi, braised beef, fried chicken, dinner rolls and the donuts. Just outstanding. The service was beyond great, we always had our drinks full, plates were cleaned quickly, and the staff were so friendly. We will definitely be returning, thank you for the wonderful dinner service.
Incredible dinner in a lovely outdoor setting. Sitting on the farm where most of the ingredients come from is part of the experience. Chef knows what he is doing here and comes to the table to tell you about his dishes. Great flavours, presentation and interesting ingredients. Dress warm on cooler nights.
probably a cool place if you re willing to pay $50 bucks per person, but the management is super unprofessional and uncourteous in the way they handle their staff.
Me and the hubby went a few weeks back and were able to snag one of the beautiful gazebo tables. Absolutely adorable place where you can watch the farm animals graze as you eat. Food was 10/10. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. Plus they have farm fresh eggs to purchase to bring home (just ask the waiter)!! Will be returning!
First time going to the Cafe!!! Highly recommend going. The service was excellent as well as the food presentation.
Great outdoor dining vibes and probably one of the best burgers I ever had, thick and juicy. Love the gazebos!
Some really delicious food coming out of a small portable kitchen trailer! Seasonal veg from their farm, great local selection of produce and proteins. 360 view of their farm from the gazebos, nice relaxed atmosphere(music playlist was spot on). Amazing service and professionally managed kitchen. Looking forward to the frequent changing menu that takes advantage of their farm produce. Will be back!
Great food. They grow most of what they offer. Beautiful, cozy place.
Incredible dinner at the Sunflower cafe!! Dishes were stunning and the produce was so fresh. Ambeince was gorgeous set on a charming farm in gazebos. We are definitely coming back ASAP!
The food is a work of art. From the farm right to the plate, each dish was so flavourful and inventive. Highly highly recommend, one of the best meals Ive ever had.
Hands down, one of the best meals weve ever eaten. Right from the start with the melt in your mouth dinner rolls to the eldeflower mousse, it was absolutley delicious. Each dish was a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.
The food here is so good, its all local and grown on the property. Very fresh flavours. The outdoor setting is very intimate yet open. The staff are super friendly.
The epitome of farm to table - you LITERALLY dine beside the garden that supplies the food!! We had our own little covered pine pergola for our family. They take pride in their local fare and took the time to share the intention and focus of their unique restaurant. The experience was not only akin to the highest level of fine dining, but also aligned to an authentic grass roots vibe. Food was incredible - teens even ate their veg!! Will def be making this a regular stop, can t wait to try more. Best cappuccino I ve had in a long time!
This was a very interesting experience. We were literally sitting in the middle of a farm, which was one of the most unique experiences I have had in quite a while. All the seating was open air, but protected from the light rain that was coming down. We sat in a lovely gazebo. My wife and I ordered one of everything on the menu. Obviously way to much food, but we wanted to try it all. Standouts for me were the albacore tuna, the salmon with Morel mushrooms, the pork chop and the warm brownie. We found the gnocchi to be a little on the salty side. The bread was fresh, warm and very tasty. All the vegetables tasted incredibly fresh. The one suggestion I would make is for more information to be passed along about the food as it is being served. I feel like these dishes are works of art and deserve a description that is worthy of the effort that went in to creating them. It was very cool to see one of the kitchen guys run into the field next to us to pick ingredients that were literally being used in one of our dishes. I have had better food, but you absolutely should try this place for the experience.
Slice of heaven in Maple Ridge! If I could give a million stars I would! This place is absolutely amazing.. I dont think there are enough positive words to describe this place. The Food is absolutely fantastic! I have been there for both breakfast and dinner and I have been wowd each time. I have been to dinner twice in 1 week. First time, with a big group and they provided us with large tasting menu to share family style - WOW, we were all amazed, each course was unbelievable. We gave the chef a standing ovation! Lastnight, 4 of us went to dinner and each ordered from the menu and it was obviously spectacular once again. Service is impeccable - they take the time to tell you about the property and get to know you! The owners live right on the property and farm all of their ingredients themselves. You can taste how fresh it all is - seriously the best quality. Drinks are also fantastic! I highly recommend their Clover Club or their whiskey sour. Hands down, one of the best restaurants I have ever been too! I have told so many people already - this is a must try!
Wow, what a fantastic find! The delicious food, outdoor seating in the quiet countryside, and friendly staff make this a perfect destination for brunch. This was a definite hit with the family, especially with the gazebo booth providing a touch of privacy. Well worth the trip from Vancouver! I ll be sharing far and wide.
Amazing food and a great place to relax while your having lunch . I ll be coming back
An amazing evening out to celebrate our anniversary. A hidden gem in the country we heard about from a friend. What better way to dine than to look over the gardens that supplied our dinner. Its a great farm to table experience. We especially liked the duck and the arctic strawberries.
We just had a fabulous dinner here for my birthday. Although the appetizer portions were small they were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. We had the albacore tuna and the porcini mushrooms( ). Our mains were the duck breast and the schnitzel.,..the breast was moist and delicious with the sauce was amazing. I had the clover valley cocktail which was unique and my husband said his Caesar was one of the best. A fantastic high end restaurant on a farm in maple ridge! You have to try.
My friend and I called several times, left messages and texted the phone number provided on their voicemail multiple times to reserve a table for dinner. It have been 2 weeks now till nobody get back to us, not even a text.
This is a gem! Service was great. Flavor combinations were amazing. It is a lovely evening in a stunning setting!
Wonderful place tasted great my only complaint would be portion size adding a few baby fresh potatoes I think would go along way
Setting, Staff, Food all amazing! Could not recommend higher.
Wow nice place to have a meal that the some of the food comes from the garden outside, it is quite unique outdoor setting and personal gazebo seating I really like this place, the food was great and the friendly staff, I will be back. Very romantic..
Set right beside the farm the ingredients are harvested from, the chef cooks up delicious and organic dishes. Brunch was excellent. Hospitality is very kind, and accommodated our mistaken arrival,a day early, after a 45min drive. I am absolutely returning to try out their dinner service!
Amazing location, people and food! The BACON
Delicious food, lovely ambiance, friendly service
We need more restaurants like this in Maple Ridge.Beautiful location, excellent service and terrific food.Expensive but worth it.
We had a really lovely, delicious dinner here. The setting is beautiful and the food is exceptional. However, when paying we had a very strange experience where both our server and another male employee stood right over the table together and looked at the large, iPad screen while we were putting in the tip information. It felt very unnecessary, especially since previous to this we had nothing but positive interactions with her, had several courses each, and it didn t seem like the male employee was helping our server with anything. It was intimidating and, unfortunately, ruined a perfect meal.
What a great surprise! An outdoor gourmet experience surrounded by sunflowers. Everything is made fresh, the salmon dish was beautifully done and served with edible flowers.
Great setting, food and service Only complaint is that the menu is pretty limited but a very enjoyable breakfast /brunch
Cute gazebos. Nice surroundings.
Fun outdoor dining experience with helpful friendly servers. The food was tasty and well presented. Had lots of fun sharing a few small plates before our mains.
Had brunch in a gazebo on a sunny Sunday. Was surprised with the best breakfast Id had all year!
Update: we went again last night and it was excellent!! One of my fav restaurants now for sure!! We went for supper in July and had a wonderful experience!! Such a beautiful venue and the food was awesome. We are going back tonight for a last summer supper! Im super excited!
The tomato salad was one of the best dishes Ive ever had
Lovely place, delicious food and beautiful too. A great special experience.
Fantastic food.
Farm to table food. Very good.
Ordered a mushroom omelet without cheese as I have a dairy allergy. They brought me one with goat cream cheese. I asked for a new plate, which I got, but Id had enough cheese to make me sick all evening. It would have been nice if theyd asked me if I could eat lactoes free goat cheese instead of presuming it was a good substitute. I said no cheese.
We stopped by on a whim and found reservations are required, we booked a brunch the following day! Greeted by owner and wonderful staff, we ordered scones as a appetizer with. Lemon cream and raspberry spread-its so delicious! Coffee and waters were topped up without even having to ask for mains we shared strawberry shortcake pancakes and a beef brisket hash. This has to be the best hidden gem in Maple Ridge!
Great local place! Certainly something special that fits right into the small town farm atmosphere of Whonnock. Highly recommend ordering something with their bacon. The scones are also very good! Has a lot of potential in expanding into the off season as well. Maybe some year in the future.
Such a gem! Extraordinary meals and wonderful atomsphere!
My husband planned a mesmerizing evening dinner for my 30th birthday yesterday and I was awestruck with this romantic and beautiful venue! They grow almost everything in their farm where this cafe is located which is incredible and the food tasted great too. Rain the owner of the cafe was extremely nice and helped explaining about the menu that we were served very well. The ambiance of the restaurant was peaceful and unhurried. Will surely visit again:)
The staff was amazing this morning. We were offered blankets as it was a cool morning even with the heaters on! The mushroom and egg omelette with greens and roasted potatoes was the best brunch I have ever had and the scones with home made jam and lemon curd OMG.... We will be back
Everything was delicious, amazing experience, I highly recommend!
Very dear tasty foods. Fall season is good time to visit. Must make reservation a week advance. Food
Where to Start.. Chris the head chef creates some excellent dishes and team delivers great service. Fresh food which is exquisitely plated and exceptionally delicious. Almost everything served is grown in their garden. If you go during the colder months try to dress warm, as you may be seated in the gazebos outside, which can get cold. This is a pet friendly restaurant frommwhat I have seen. The meals might look small but is very filling. The trick I was told is to share the food. Which worked out great from my group. I wish this establishment was open all year around. This place is a must try! Parking: There is enough parking on the property about 30-40ft away from the main building.
Came here for an anniversary dinner. Staff were nice and accommodating, restaurant decor and presentation of the food were great, flavors were a bit underwhelming and bugs were terrible. Your mileage may vary.
What an absolute gem! Incredible food, beautiful concept, lovely staff. It does not get more farm-to-table than this. Sunflower Cafe will be on repeat for us!
We went for brunch on Saturday and sat in one of gazebos. The eggs bennie and salad were delicious, as was the ice tea! Great vibe, very peaceful, and really cool landscaping with kale, corn, and of course sunflowers.
Loved the delicious farm fresh veggies in my meal! Very peaceful environment as well. Will definitely be back.
Beautiful food , beautiful people . Wonderful setting for a sunday brunch and or an unforgettable dinner . Well worth the trip .
Amazing!!!
Sunflower Cafe @ Yellow House Farm The food was presented so beautifully. The portions were generous and the setting is so lovely. We were told the menu changes daily depending on whats available in the garden. Service was also amazing. Highly recommend making a reservation as it was really busy, and not sure if they can always accommodate walk-ins. Heads up its more like a pop up restaurant so all seating is outside so dress accordingly for the weather. They do supply blankets if you are feeling chilly.
Great story, delicious food, very friendly and community loving atmosphere
Drove by this place with the fam and we stopped to check it out. Definitely a great place to bring ur significant other, food was amazing and tasted fresh, atmosphere was incredibly relaxing and well put together. Price of food was on the high side but it makes up for it with the taste. Would recommend this spot to anyone in the area you won t be disappointed
Went a few days ago with some of friends. We showed up early and Rain showed us around the farm and told us of all his plans. Its such a peaceful farm. Most of the food is grown there, minus things like salt and butter... lol The food was incredible. We ordered almost everything on the menu. Cannot wait to go back.
Wonderful farm to table example that is truly characteristic of what makes Maple Ridge the best place on earth.
Garden was beautiful, servers were friendly and food was delicious!
Delicious food, great service and beautiful country atmosphere. I will be eating here regularly!
I almost did not post this review because I can not think of the right way to describe this place. The food was fantastic, service was professional and attentive. Its the location and atmosphere that I lack the ability to properly describe. Let me say this. When I arrived at the parking lot I was thinking beer garden / country fair (but I knew they did not yet have a liquor licence) I was a bit worried as we had invited friends that we have not seen in years (damn you covid-19). When we entered the restaurant and were seated in our own little covered gazebo I thought it seemed pretty fun. We were surrounded by gardens of edible plants, vegetables and beautiful flowers with a view of a quaint country farm. On this visit I got see 3 different appetizers, I tasted 2. 3 different entrees I tasted 2. 2 desserts I tasted 1. One thing I can say for sure, it doesnt matter what I ate, tried and saw because whatever you have will be fantastic. After dinner and before dessert both the restaurant owner and the head chef came to visit us tableside to see how our night was going, and to ask if we had any feedback on our experience. If you havent come to this place yet you better hurry and get down here because you wont believe you waited this long to try something so amazing way out in East Maple Ridge! No photos attached, I want you to be a surprise as I was.
What a beautiful cafe. The food is amazing.
Incredible food, amazing atmosphere, authentic gazebos and friendly staff
Fantastic food, service, ambience.
This is incredible find! We have been a few times and the food is sensational each time. The food is full or flavour and as fresh as can be. Also, as a Celiac there is plenty of gluten-free options Chef is also gluten-free, which helps a lot. Ambience, plating, flavours and service all 5 stars.
Great atmosphere, amazing fresh food and very nice people!
The food, concept and ownership are all amazing. I ve been a few times now, and I ve been blown away every time. I d highly recommend checking it out
The atmosphere, service, and food were all exceptional! This is a beautiful, quaint, and authentic spot that I cannot wait to show more family and friends. The appetizers, and main courses were so delicious, but my favourite part was dessert! Dont skip out on the rich chocolate mousse and sticky toffee pudding!! You wont regret it!!
What an amazing experience!! Great service, absolutely incredible food, gotta get the sticky pudding. Life changing
This restaurant is unique in its setting, and its focus on local food. If you value locally grown food you will appreciate the small but well thought out menu that features a lot of food grown on the property itself. The gazebos are open to the air but protected from rain. My friends and I had a lovely afternoon meal here. We brought our own blankets to wrap up in even though they provide some for you. This is all a part of the experience and we will be back! Thanks Rayne and employees!
Food is amazing! Atmosphere is amazing! Parking lot could be about 5 wider. And the entrance to the driveway the same.
Absolutely loved the while experience. Great concept, place is super cute, staff very friendly, and the food was amazing.
Tasty food and good service, but dress warm with the fall season approaching. They dont have the cafe fully enclosed yet.
Amazing culinary experience. So lucky to have such fine dining in our neighborhood and minutes from our home. Dream farm to table experience.
Amazing food and ambiance. Farm to table dining right in our own backyard!
Amazing. Food was wonderful, venue was super cute and staff were so attentive. I am absolutely recommending this spot to all of my friends. I ordered the eggs Benny, my boyfriend the bison burger and our son had the French toast. We all shared bites of one anothers dishes and I was so impressed. Sticky toffee pudding for dessert. So so good.
Great little spot!
Absolutely best place to have a nice mealAnd so close to home fantastic
We had a lovely time in this beautiful restaurant, food was awesome, the owners and staffs were so friendly and the view was amazing. I definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.
The food is absolutely sublime. True farm to table experience, with transcendent food. I will be back any time im in the area.
Great and fun atmosphere. A must visit and try. The food was amazing and delicious with great presentation and attention to detail. No alcohol at this time. Remeber to dress warmly at this time of the year.
We are talking next level. Omg!
