Farro Ristorante in Maple

Well a night that was supposed to be full of great food was changed when my waiter decided to split our meals in the kitchen without asking me . I was actually shocked and have never ever seen a restaurant do this without asking the patron. I didn t eat my determined portion half by the kitchen as it was not what I asked for. Owner came to me and asked if I would like anything else. I said no, they still charged me based on the half portion I was incredibly humiliated , but paid the bill and will never go back because of the poor service decision by the waiter and the owner. Not impressed!

My husband and I went for dinner, the experience was nice. We ordered the charcuterie board $24 per person and I am sorry but it was not worth $48, very disappointing.

My meal was just okay for the money I spent. The grilled octopus was quite delicious and tender. The bread was definitely not fresh.The salmon trout was good, although the accompanying roasted potatoes were rather chewy and were possibly yesterdays All in all, the prices are very steep for what you get. We just had another amazing dinner at Farro Ristorante with good friends. Our daughter was home from university, and another couple and their daughter joined us as per our recommendation. The service was exceptional, and the nightly specials were much appreciated. My wife and I enjoyed bruschetta, then salad, a delicious chicken dish stuffed with cheese and spinach, served on a bed of mashed sweet potatoes with Bok Choi and broccoli. We loved it! Other choices at the table included a veal chop with broccoli, and salmon and veggies for his wife. Our daughters had pasta and chicken parmigiana, and they loved it. Once again, another great night at Farro s, and we ll be back! Thank you, Farro, for a wonderful evening. We even got to chat with Dino, our favorite waiter. Great menu....excellent pizzas and pasta dishes

Food was OK at best. I had much better Italian food for these kind of menu prices. Their NY steak tasted like it was previously frozen. Asked for med rare got med well. I was with a big group so I didnt want to bother sending back my food. Carpacio appetizer was all green veggies barley any meat. I actually had to take most of it off to find any meat. I definitely will not be going back theres so much better options for high end italian food

Very good dishes, moderate price.

This is my 4th time here within a year! Came last year in May for mothers day with my mom, a few months after with my inlaws, a month after with my cousins and today with my husband and friends. The service here is always great, the food is soo delicious Ive tried the tortellini stuffed with ricotta and its my fav! Love the calamari fritti with the arugula dip and their chicken parm and pizza!!! Our favorite part of it all is our service with Yong. Hes very kind, funny, attentive and just overall gives customers great service! We have had him as our waiter for the 3rd time and we are always leaving happy. We recommend this restaurant to everyone and will continue to give this restaurant our business. Its beautiful and cozy inside!

Ever since the doors opened. This place makes me feel like I just ate here for the first time.

Had the pleasure to attend my great nieces communion here and the food was fantastic. Antipasto, pasta and veal scallopini taste to perfection. Compliments to the chef! Italian waiters were very friendly, always smiling with great attitudes, they were funny and attentive to our special dietary needs.

Love this place! The food is consistently great. Their pizza is one of the best from their crust to their tomatoe sauce and toppings. The woodsy decor is both relaxed and somehow classy. The decor choices also absorb ambient noise which makes conversations with friends easy. Service is always friendly and attentive. Im always happy to suggest Farro to my friends. Parking: Parking is in the back of the building. Wheelchair accessibility: Its ground floor with no stairs to deal with.

Wow! I cant believe how generous the serving portion is for all of our pasta dishes. On top of its delicious and authentic Italian cuisine. Service is great too, I wish they would have more comfy chairs. Do not park near the light pole, stupid pigeons pooped all over my car.

Great restaurant! It s very busy on Friday and Saturday so make sure to make a reservation. The pasta is always delicious. Good selection of wine. The risotto was great. The pizza was good and done perfectly. Highly recommend the farro dough. The salad was not and included about 10% wilted leaves, 90% crisp leaves. Dressing was fine, but not a great salad. Service was also very good

First time visiting this restaurant, It was on 16th February around 7PM. I thought the food was good, good ambience, pleasant staff except one staff which was our server. His name is Pino or Peno. At the end of the night when we all paid, he confronted me about my tip. I was on a table with 5 people and he took it upon himself to question me about my tip publicly in front of all my friends, who does that. What an unprofessional behaviour. He then continued to express how it costs him $5 to serve us and hes losing money serving. All done in front of us. Ive never experienced such unprofessionalism and embarrassment. I dont feel comfortable coming back here or recommending this place to my friends. As you know we are all in a recession and doing the best we can, it is not your place to be rude or question the tip amount. If you are not happy, McDonalds is hiring.

We were there for our yearly office Christmas lunch. Calamari apps were good. Cheese plate was average. Cod dish was very nice, agnolotti as well. Tiramisu was disappointing, will not order again. Wine selection was great. Our server was attentive, although he mentioned the tomahawk steak about 5 or 6 times. We were not going to order that, but he seemed to be pushing it. Overall a good experience and we plan to go back next year.

Came by for my girlfriends birthday and everything went smoothly. Food was nice, the vibe was nice and service was great. I mentioned to our server, Danny, the it was my girls birthday and he came out with a candle in our dessert and we sang happy birthday without me even asking. This was very kind of him, it made experiences even better. Would recommend this place.

To long of a wait for the food ordered a steak and took 1 hour

Im quite happy that Farro is closeby and still with the same owners. Weve ordered the Magherita to start, and the nights special - Whole Pan-Seared Branzino and 40 oz. Tomahawk. Besides the food being delicious, Ive appreciated the service more. They were more than happy to accommodate different palettes, and made the Branzino more spicier and well-done. Although we dont make a lot of requests, were happy to know that if we have a guests with a more particular palette, they are more than happy to satisfy. To end the dinner, we also had the Ricotta Pistachio Cheesecake, and Creme Brule. All in all, Farro delivers exceptional dining and service.

Its an amazing restaurant with authentic Italian food and great collection of wines.

Last night may have been an off night, or maybe my expectations are very high. I ordered a Ceaser salad and the fettucini Tremonte. The salad was wilted and over dressed and the fettucini needed more flavour. It was a bit bland. But everyone else at the table really enjoyed their food. The chicken is apparently so delicious. The penne al la vodka was out of this world. I could definitely give Farro another chance, but maybe or something different this time. Service was AMAZING. Sam/George was very knowledgeable on the menu, had great suggestions, and he was funny. Which always makes it a good Time.

First time at Farro Ristorante for my Wifes Birthday dinner. Great food served hot, flavourful and delivered fast to our table. Staff are very attentive, friendly and were in tune with each other in regards to servicing our table. We ordered the Grilled Calamari (luved the Mango side!!), Fettuccine with Grilled Chicken in Cream Sauce, Gnocchi with gorgonzola cream sauce. We will certainly be back for more.

I have been to Farro many times for lunches, suppers and events, and I intend to go back. The food is delicious, the bar is well stocked, and the service has always been impeccable. The ambiance in a restaurant is very important to me, and Farro gets it right. Its not too bright, not too dark, and the decor makes it ideal to unwind and catch up with friends, or take a breather from a hectic day on your own. The bathrooms are lovely and clean. The pride of ownership is evident throughout the dining experience. There is even a selection of pasta, olive oil and balsamic, and other Italian staples for you to pick up on your way out. I love it here.

My fiancé and I just hosted our engagement party here and I cannot express how amazing the experience was. The owner and staff went out of their way to help us set everything up for our event and were extremely accommodating to all of our needs. I cannot say enough about how delicious the food was, every guest at my event had nothing but compliments for the chef. Hosting the event ran so smoothly with the help of everyone at the restaurant and I am so incredibly happy with how everything came out. I will definitely be coming back again!

Very poor value for prices. Avoid the pastas, a plate of store bought penne in a very unassuming vodka sauce is $25. The taste was insipid. Antipasto platter for $40 consists of 8 thin slices of salami and minuscule cheese bits. Pizza was better but $27 for a very ordinary version. I will not be back.

Ive been coming here for years. They have great service and delicious food, and a lot of locals eat here. My favourites are the penne salcicce and Calabrese pizza with spicy sausage.

Took a business client for lunch. The male waiter was constantly jokingly making remarks that are inappropriate. Please learn how to be polite with your client.

My close friends and I celebrated my mothers birthday at this venue and was content with the service. The table was always cleared when another course was about too be served. The food we ordered was good, however, my mother and I noticed the lamb chop wasnt Frenced and thus burnt and the tips. As well, we were served bok choi, which wasnt at a portion size that was appropriate for the price point, not to mention bok choi isnt necessarily associated with Italian cuisine. Food aside, the wine and drink selection was quite nice. Certainly worth another try in the future.

Had our granddaughters baptism dinner at Farro. Loved it! The food was fresh and deliscious! The appetizers were all great especially the pizza and calamari. I was born in Italy and have been to many restaurants but this is one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. The pasta with seafood was incredible the service was amazing and the place is beautiful.

For the price, I had higher expectations, hoping that the pasta would be fresh and homemade.

From the service to the food, Farro Ristorante is a must visit! My family and I had an event here and the food was delicious. All the apps (but the calamari) were flavourful and had the right amount of spices. For my main, I had the rack of lamb. 100% recommend the meat was tender and gravy added lots of jus to the vegetables. The potion size was perfect. The staff were taking care of us- removing plate and asking if we wanted any drinks. Perfect restaurant to host a small event!

The service was quick and impeccable. Shout out the waiters who cared for us. I was not a fan of the fettuccine with chicken breast, chicken tasted a little burned. I know my friends loved their meals, so will likely go back to try something different.

A group of 6 of us stopped by Farro for a late lunch early supper on a Friday afternoon about 3. We called last minute and they were happy to accommodate us. They served us an amazing spread of food with nothing held back. What a wonderful experience and service that was absolutely amazing. If youre in the area and wondering if Farro is worth a visit, dont hold back. Walk in, if youre not sure what to have, ask the knowledgeable staff, and enjoy a top notch experience. Life is too short not to eat too much.

It is difficult for me to put into words my terrible experience with this restaurant. The customer service was subpar; the staff had a terrible attitude and it seemed to me that they didnt even want to be there. I thought to myself that the food would definitely make up for the lack of customer service; I was terribly mistaken, and in hindsight this was definitely wishful thinking. The pasta was undercooked, the sauce was bland, and the vegetables were overcooked. I had high expectations from the positive google reviews, and considering the fact that Farro Ristorante prides itself as a authentic Italian family owned restaurant, the food is severely underwhelming and and is near repulsive. Farro Ristorante needs to be shut down. Not only was I met with dreadful staff, terribly expensive food, but I experienced extreme abdominal pains shortly after my meal. My entire table was faced with abdominal pains which suggests that our symptoms were connected to the meal eaten at Farro Ristorante. This was the final straw, the culmination of deplorable interactions with the restaurant compelled me to write this review and warn potential diners to stay away. Take my advice so you dont end up like me; disturbed and wounded from dining at Farro Ristorante.

My husband brought me here for my birthday a few weeks ago and we absolutely loved it. We heard about the restaurant through word of mouth, and decided to give it a try. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent (even for a mid-day lunch). We had the bruschetta, a pizza and a pasta and every single item was great. The place is very reasonably priced and for an italian food aficionado like myself, this restaurant checked all of the boxes. There is a reason why a restaurant that doesnt get much street view as some but is still always busy because word of mouth which is the best advertising. This is a must visit restaurant if you want to have a great Itallian meal. The owner is great and so is all the staff. The decor is nice on not overdone like some. You can come here with that special person and you will impress or you can come with friends and have a casual meal with good company and last your family can come as they also cater to kids too. All in all this is probably in the top 5 Italian restaurants in Vaughan and we know there is a lot of competition but I would recommend this to anyone with great confidence that they will leave this restaurant thinking to themselves when can we come back? We hosted our son s baptism at Farro Ristorante and we were very pleased with the customer service, food and overall ambiance. It was a stress free day knowing that the food and service was in their hands. Our guests also enjoyed everything. Even though there was another event on the other side and random patrons coming in for dinner, it was not noisy at all or disruptive. Carmine and his team made sure our event was private and done to perfection. Thanks again for your services.

Saffron salmon is nice, their seafood is fresh, and their chicken parm is really good too. Visited many times, not as it used to be, I called to reserve, the patron said I had to be out at a certain time. This really left a bad taste, the restaurant was not very busy when we arrived, and never was during our time there. Will not be another visit. The service and food was okay.

Cant say the food and service were great. They were not at par with the price. The calamari was served to us in 2 minutes after ordering and was cold. The carpaccio was not good. My pasta was a lot but presented like a mush. The shrimp was not tiger for sure. The server could hardly pull a smile. I was with a client so did not let them know my displeasure.
