Almost 5 stars for me. The calamari and grill octopus are must order. The veal and seafood pasta were just ok. I didnt try but the grill branzino looks amazing and my father in law finish the whole thing. Super friendly staffs and willing to adjust for vegetarians.

We went to a BD party. Seeing only good reviews really surprised me. The food is WAY overpriced, very ordinary and close to low quality and the portions are quite small. Im not a big eater, usually ok with any medium portion. Salads are just a joke. Ordered salad and could hardly find anything other than green ingredients on my plate. Meat meals are not the quality as it was expected and priced too high. Other food also feels like it has just been defrosted and served, like gnocchi. I ve been in Italy and that has nothing similar which what I ve got. Some staff are very nice but some was very annoyed with my question why I have ONLY green part in my salad which supposed to have coat cheese as well. On the top of that the owner came and start to ask my friend what I would order OVER my shoulder as I am not there. I was a bit late ( like 10 min) and they were rushing to collect the orders. I get it but that was very very rude. I would not go again. Try to spend money in other places. This place has so many potential and it s very sad to see this customer service.

We went for a BD party. The food is very much overpriced with very small portion! Gnocchi feels like warmed up from frozen package. Other food is also too expensive and nothing spectacular. We asked for lamb medium rare, but got rare and not tasty at all. Arugula salad was only bunch of green leaves and 3 small pieces of beets and tiny touch of feta. I asked to bring a few more beet pieces and they got me pills. It even had pieces of skin on it. HORRIBLE!!!! I feel that they just were about to smash those into the garbage but decided to give it to me instead. We were very disappointed with the service and food quality. Would NEVER GO AGAIN The bad thing is they called us and asked to remove this review! They are afraid of TRUTH!

We were 3 couples out for dinner and As soon as we walked in to Parola the service was impeccable by all staff members ,they were all attentive and friendly. The food was phenomenal and portions were generous and pricing was reasonable. The desserts were delicious as well! Thanks as well to Ara for elevating our Saturday night dining experience. We will be back for sure ! Also there were food options for all tastes!!

I reserved this place to treat my best friend for her birthday. The night started off amazing and the food was also amazing along with generous portion sizes. I asked a waitress to bring out a dessert and sparkler then she said they have a candle only to bring out. & they will bring it out. After we had our meal I was waiting for the staff to bring out the dessert to sing Happy Birthday to my best friend. To a point i was awkwardly waiting. I also told one waiter that I am waiting for the dessert However, the owner kinda yelled at the waiters saying I am not giving them free dessert. What i would suggest is to notify the staff to let customers know that birthday desserts are not free. I don t have a problem paying for dessert. Even if they gave out the dessert and billed us I wouldn t have had a problem. I had to ruin the surprise and tell the owner to give out a tiramisu. , it definitely was a buzzkill to the night as this can be solved with training their staff on how to handle situations like this. Although they gave us 2 limoncello shots after. I definitely did not appreciate the Owners(head chef?) that we are trying to freeload in the restaurant when we ordered drinks apps and mains. The energy was ruined. This review is something people should be aware of before dining here on a milestone to celebrate with dessert. I have also added a pic of the rude waiter/Owner? His face appeared in the video when i was singing Happy Birthday to my best friend. Again he didn t care to sing for her and purposely entered the video when i was recording with flash on. On a positive note the food was amazing.

The pizza was so dry that it s worse than $7 pizza . My orecchiette pasta was big but bland and only taste was the sausage and the spinach butter. The best thing was the $37.95 appetizer platter but the owner asked if I wanted bruschetta and I said yes. I never expected a huge platter enough for 6 just for the two of us. I guess he just wanted more business and he said I can pack it for lunch the next day! Ridiculous I thought. Anyway the owner called to follow up and said I should have alerted them of the issues with the food, etc. I didn t want to make a scene and thought if the food was that much off not much can be done. Anyway he has a point about the arugula which could explain the bitterness in the pasta but it could have have been balanced with other savoury taste imho. To his point he cared enough to follow up. That s a plus and he needs to know his his servers are either taking wrong orders or deliberately imposing big dishes on clients and the food quality.

Great food, friendly staff, kids also love it! There were some confusing of the order for one kid, they exchanged right away. We went for our anniversary and received free champagne as well!

I have been to this restaurant many times with friends and have hosted parties for special celebrations. The food is flavorful, the servers are always very attentive and the entire staff and owners always make you feel as though they could not do enough for you! This plave is a gem.

Our first time this evening at Parola and what an amazing restaurant. Truly authentic Italian cuisine. We had the Calamari alla griglia as our starter and the Veal marsala and Veal piccata as our main dishes and a side order of rapini absolutely delicious. The food, the service and ambiance was amazing A hidden gem in the town of Maple to explore you will not be disappointed. We are definitely coming back! Buon appetito!!!

We recently celebrated our son s first communion at Parola and can t speak enough on how amazing everything was. Right from the beginning Franco and his team were so welcoming and accommodating to our requests. On the day of the food was incredible from the taste to presentation. A nice small Italian restaurant with excellent service

If I could give NO STARS I WOULD. It was my birthday dinner and we made reservations for 8pm. While we were waiting on a few family members to arrive the waiter (bold older man) keep pushing us to order food right away because the kitchen was closing soon. However the restaurant closes at 10pm, yet he kept on rushing us to order food right away and we weren t complete yet he rushed us at least 3 times to order. Aside of his rushing us, I found HAIR in my food. I didn t get an apology or a complementary meal, nothing. They still charged me for the meal. I complained about the food and asked to be removed. The waiter then came and grabbed my to go meal and said that s not how it works and walked away with the food they replaced. Again, very rudely. On top of this tip was mandatory because we were a large party - which I understand- however they didn t deserve a penny. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Terrible attitude. I do not recommend this to anyone. Save your money and check other Italian restaurants where you can have a nice experience. This was such a disappointment.

Food was alright, nothing special. We went for my sister s bday and there was a hair in her risotto, they didn t even apologize, only brought a container with fresh risotto to go which she didn t even want. She wanted it off the bill, they did but also took the container away from her. The waiter told us the kitchen closed at 9 and he was hurrying us to order. After 9 another party came in and they ordered no problem. Awful place.

Cute spot in Vaughan for Italian cuisine. The atmosphere is casual but the food is good. The servers were lovely however I did have to ask to have my water glass filled multiple time which got a bit frustrating. I will go back though - good value!

The food was ok I can t say it was something special we asked for glass of water and got the water in the bottle but never mind how much can cost the bottle of the water?! $7.50!!! Way too pricey never come back again and definitely wouldn t recommend to anyone.

Have been to many local Italian restaurants around GTA and some authentic ones in Italy. Parola had the worst tasting food by far. Definitely not recommended, especially at such a high price point. Service was ok and thats why I am not giving 1 star.

We were pleasantly surprised to find such a place not on King St. West, but half a mile from our home. My family and I just celebrated a birthday today and our party of 8 felt extremely welcomed as soon as we stepped in the restaurant. Regarding our server, he was extremely welcoming and charming it genuinely felt like we were just coming for a dinner he was hosting. I wish a grabbed his name again but I wish him a happy birthday! We also had another server which took over and he was equally as caring and charming. Really made us feel comfortable. For appetizers, we got a Classico pizza, grilled calamari and fried calamari. The pizza was thin and delicious, the grilled calamari was very fresh, and the fried calamari was not greasy at all. Both dishes were cooked perfectly the calamari was tender and not chewy at all. My favourite was the grill calamari. My family got a variety of main dishes between pasta and grilled dishes but everything was delicious. I loved the texture of my pappardelle and the shrimps were enormous. My parents also got a tomahawk steak that was also delicious. We got a variety of desserts including the coconut sherbet, tiramisu, and multiple cheesecakes. All were delicious and not too sweet. We especially loved the pistachio cheesecake. Everything was excellent but the most memorable part of the celebration was the service. 10/10 very well taken care of.

We took my parents for their 40th anniversary to Parole based on everyone else s reviews. Service began quite well, however everything proceeding was negative. We ordered salmon dish, calamari, Caesar salad, chicken dish, jumbo shrimp pasta, pizza and lamb. The food overall was very bland and nothing special. I called the restaurant the next day as I got food poisoning from eating the salmon and calamari which was confirmed based on the assessment by the ER doctor. I called the owner to inform him and that s when he began showing his true colors. Not only did the owner insinuate that I was lying and raising his voice. When I attempted to reason with the owner his voice raised further and he even uttered the words come here, let s talk don t worry I ll find you . Making direct threats to my life. This is quite shocking behaviour after paying over $350 for a dinner and getting food poisoning. For the price point you pay, you re better off going somewhere more reputable who will take care of their customers when something happens rather then insinuating that the customer is lying even with a ER visit. Food wise you can do better when you re paying $40-$50 per dish. And topper, I d recommend avoiding this place like a plague because if something goes wrong, the owner will get aggressive and threaten you.

After a morning of errands, we decided to have lunch here on our way home. The atmosphere was very warm, clean, and the decor was very nice. They had two lunch parties going on but quickly sat us. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and pleasant. We ordered the figs, bruschetta, and calamari for our apps. It was very delicious. The figs and cheese board was very nicely decorated. For our mains, I had the lobster fettuccine, our little one had the pollo portofino - the chicken was tender, well seasoned and the flavours was throughout the chicken. The sauce was amazingly delicious! My two older kids had the same dish, Shrimp Pappardelle, which was very delicious. Both finished their meals. My hubby had the seafood rissotto - full of seafood, very flavourful. As a family of five, we hands down pleased everyone. Definitely worth having dinner or lunch here. They also have private rooms in the back for more intimate family dinners and birthdays.

Food was great and service was very good! We had antipasto, fried calamari, pizzas, pasta, jumbo prawn, all tasted great, especially the calamari, little batter and the squid was super fresh, a must try! But when we checked our bill we found they charged $7.5 for water, so we asked and we were told it was the bottle of water they brought out. We were asked if we wanted sparkling or still water and we said still water. I didn t know there was no option for just tap water, and was never offered. So if we didn t choose sparkling or still bottle water we get nothing? Also the water bottle was brought out without its cap, if the bottle came out with its cap, I would ve asked if we have the choice of just tap water. We also ordered wine for adults and drinks for kids, so its not like we only drank water. Its not about the $7.50 but this is a case of principle. We didn t bother arguing about it, but this left a bad taste in our mouths.

This is a restaurant for Italian cuisine. Service is quite attentive, ordered calamari, mixed green salad, and risotto with mushrooms, quality is above average. Atmosphere is very relaxing here, good for family and friends gatherings.

The place was nice. A little to pricey for me tho. In todays day and time restaurants need to understand that the customer cant pay all its bills to make up for lost revenue.

one of the best italian restaurants ive been to, if not the best. great authentic italian cuisine, and one of the few places that can cook a proper rare veal. would highly recommend to a friend :)

We just had the most wonderful experience today at Parola Ristorante! Everything was literally perfect. The appetizers were exceptional (the octopus was out of this world), the entrees were incredible (we all ordered something different and were all equally happy), and they ended the night surprising our birthday guest with some of the best tiramisu we ve ever tasted! Service was 10/10. Ara, our server and co-owner, was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him after the meal. Val, who brought our food out and cleared the table, was also very pleasant and lovely. The busboy kept refilling our water, a minimum of 5 times; we never had to ask. We had small children in our party and as a parting favor for them, they brought out lollipops. What a kind gesture!! The management is doing something right here. We already want to come back. They accommodated our large party of adults and kids extremely well, something few restaurants do well. Side note: the Parola name reminded me of Dalida s Parole song and I mentioned it to Ara and he quickly played it for us. Class act! We look forward to future dining experiences here.

This restaurant serves great Italian fairs. Everyone in our party of approximately 10 loved the appetizers and the meals, from the fish to the steaks to the pizza. The martinis were delicious, on the lighter side. The octopus legs were my favorite. Tiramisu, courtesy of the restaurant, was on point. Service was fast, attentive and super friendly. Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely be back. I hope the level of food and service remain the same.

First time at Parola and you have to go! It s the cutest little spot with amazing Italian food.

Felt like some Italian after my appointment at the nearby medical building, and this understated, but truly elegant restaurant appealed to me. I asked the server if he recommended Penne Ala Vodka or Penne Arrabiata. Without hesitation, he recommended the Penne Ala Vodka, but brought a delightful chili oil on the side. It was exactly what I wanted. Included was lovely crusty bread, which paired nicely with a glass of their house red. I asked the server if he was the owner, and he mentioned that this was his 2nd location. Excellent food and value with outstanding service! Highly recommended.

Opened 2 years ago. Very clean and modern decor, warm and inviting. Went with girlfriend. Quiet for conversation. Great service. Food was fresh and delicious. We had seafood risotto (lots of seafood) and vodka penne. Generous portions and reasonably priced. I will go again for date night with hubby!

The calamari appetizer was good, however, the main course risotto di mare was the worst I ever had . It was dry plain white rice with some seafood mostly mussels. The white rice was dry with no flavour no hint of butter garlic white wine and chicken stock which should have been infused and incorporated there was no parmigiano reggiano cheese at all!!!! I could not eat it what a waste of $35.00 . The waiter did offer to have it redone but there was no point as it was readily apparent the chief along with all the staff was not Italian and it would come out the same. If you want real Italian food pass on this restaurant

We are party of five, starters we had octopus, calamari, mussels, and burrata. All were very good, octopus done to perfection.Mains were brazino, veal chop, risotto fungi and pasta vodka, loved everything, the fish was perfect and veal was very good, the coconut ice cream and grandmothers cake for sharing. Shout out to Chef Kanada for a great job. Planning our next visit as the pizzas on the next table looked delicious.

We were a party of nine, all elements of a good night out were delivered. Appetizers were perfect especially the calamari. Dinner for the group consisted of steak to risotto to veal to pasta all were throughly enjoyed with no complaints. Would definitely return.

Went with friends for a nice dinner on a Sat night. Greeted by an older man who was so friendly w great sense of humor. We each chose different salad and main and all 7 of us enjoyed it very much. Most of us have dietary restrictions and they were all met. At the end of the meal we were offered Lemoncello and the older gentleman raised a glass w us. Desert was good too. Had the cheesecake w lemon and blueberries and it was YUMMY Will be back for sure.

A neighbourhood gem serving up incredible authentic Italian cuisine in a 5-Star atmosphere.

My God this place is good. The owner is so friendly and the food is beyond belief. We had rack of lamb, Pizza diovola, a custom made vegetarian pasta dish and the daily special. All were amazing, but the pizza was incredible.

Absolutely amazing service and food. Thank you so much being the most exceptional hosts to our group and being accomodating every gathering. Highly recommended and will be back for sure.

Great spot for Italian food in Vaughan. The service is an 11/10, and they truly make you feel acknowledged. The food is good, but some dishes could have a bit more of an impactful flavor. They are very accommodating and will customize anything you want. Desserts are good as well, but could be better. Our top dishes were the sea bass and the coconut sorbet. Will definitely be returning.
