First time trying onigiri. My girlfriend and I tried the spicy mayo salmon and sea urchin and egg yolk. Both were pretty tasty, I only wish there was a bit more of the filling as some bites had only rice and sea weed in them. Other than that, both the onigiri were very nice and at a very cheap price point. Recommend trying for anyone visiting Pacific mall, I know I’ll come again.
great onigiri for a fair price. i tried the spicy salmon mayo, which was a tasty classic combination. i also tried the sea urchin with salted egg yolk, which was my first time trying sea urchin. the salted egg yolk was rich and creamy, but it kind of blended into the sea urchin and they were indistinguishable from one another. still very tasty though
Absolutely peak tasting onigiri. There was a line to get them though so maybe assume it will take some time to buy. After we bought ours they also closed up shop. The onigir themselves came quick after order and were super tasty. Would recommend trying out this place since the fillings are super tasty.
Service can be a bit slow at times, but it’s worth the wait. We ordered and they would give you a buzzer so you can walk around the second floor. When we returned the store was closed. They were overwhelmed with orders and had to stop taking orders. We waited an extra 10 minutes to get our order after we returned. While waiting for our order a huge line formed. The size and portion of fish was good, I would recommend! I have yet to try the uni and egg yolk when I return 😊
Got a whole bunch of onigiri right when they opened and these are fresh! Filled to the brim and super flavourful! The creamy uni was the most special and unique - definitely try them!
We were walking around pacific mall and noticed so many people with these onigiris in their hand that we had to try it for ourselves. There is a line but it goes fast and they give you a tracker to alert you when your order is ready. We ordered the salmon and crab onigiris. They are all made by hand (not pressed in a machine) and are very large! The price is also comparable to purchasing in a grocery store but the quality was very fresh. I highly recommend!
Expected there to be a line since this place has been pretty hyped up online. We arrived at around 5:30pm on Friday and there was no line. Once you order they give you a buzzer and it’ll vibrate when your order is ready. We waited around 10mins before we got our order. We ordered the creamy uni onigiri and the raw spicy salmon. Both were stuffed! Our favourite was the creamy uni one as it was very velvety and had a salty and slight seafoody taste. The price are extremely reasonable for the quality and portion you get. Will definitely be coming back for a quick snack or lunch!
I've bough from here multiple times in the past. Located on the 2nd floor of Pacific Mall near the food court section, the food here is pretty good with wait time usually around ~10-15 min. depending on when you come (I would think weekends would be *much* busier, not to mention it's inside Pacific Mall). You can expect the avg price for an onigiri to be about $5 apiece, which sounds a bit steep but it's fairly worth it. They have a lot of selection, but expect a small handful of flavors to be sold out. The "extreme" spicy crab isn't that spicy. My wife can handle it and she can only handle mild-ish spice levels typically.
Creamy uni was so good. This place gets busy on weekends but during the week it s relatively empty. They re always fresh and packed with the good stuff. Big too!
Super good onigiri and great portions! We ordered the Spicy Raw Mayo Salmon and the Unagi with Mushroom onigiri. They were sooo delicious and huge! Definitely worth your buck for a try. The filling was dominating and had lots of it with a good ratio of rice. The Spicy Salmon, however, had no spice at all unfortunately. Our total was $16 for three, and we waited in line on a Saturday afternoon for less than 10 minutes. We got our food in 10ish minutes, and it was warm. Very good and would come here again to try more!!!
The onigiris always taste so fresh! Also they always have a generous amount of filling However, the seaweed is usually soggy which isn t that big of a deal to me personally. The wait time gets ridiculously long during busy hours but when it s quiet, it s fine. It s pricy but I always find myself coming back for a quick small snack!
I ordered a raw salmon spicy today and had a major stomach ache, they had very less wasabi which what caused to feel very nauseous and felt like torture. But the raw salmon is so good but bro add more wasabi
Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! Always will there be a snaking line outside this small onigiri shop at Pacific Mall, and I can understand why. Its rice is moist, comforting, and mixed with a subtly sweet and sour rice vinegar, wrapped with a fragrant piece of nori that adds a whiff of umami. Inside is a generous portion of sashimi salmon, mixed with the right amount creamy sriracha mayo that compliments the salmon, rather than override its natural taste.
One of the few spots I can depend on in the city for good onigiri. I used to order a lot from here before the whole social media/tiktok hype and the proportions of rice to filling were stellar. However, after their rise in fame, I ve noticed I ve been getting just large clumps of rice with a speck of filling. Disappointing to see the shrinkflation but the product is still decent. Some of my favourites from the menu are the mentaiko, crispy shrimp, spicy salmon, and tobiko.
This onigiri place is so good. Worth every time getting it.
I was disappointed with the service. We ordered several items and simply requested an extra paper bag to carry our food, but they refused. It was a small ask, especially considering the amount we ordered. besides, food quality was just average
I think the portion size sets this a part from other places serving onigiri. We had the raw spicy salmon and the spicy beef bulgogi, both were enjoyable with lots of filling. Downside the is wait time if you do not preorder in advance.
Amazing onigiri. They dont skimp out on the toppings unlike most places.
my gf and i come to pmall just to eat here LOL the onigiri here is litty and so fresh and delish
Best onigiri I ve ever had! I loved it !!! 100% recommend (spicy raw salmon)
Way overrated. Really not good and the seaweed is mushy. I don t recommend.
45 minute wait good filling, soooo much rice.
Got 3, chicken teriyaki, raw salmon and unagi After eating 2. It was really bland. Yeah the stuffing was good but the rice was bland. Idk why but I was kind of expecting some vinegar taste or some salt or sesame seeds, something to give it flavour. It is definitely a personal preference but yeah bland rice was such a turn off for my appetite
The ongiri was delicious and there was a large amount of filling. Definitely will come again.
Love this place so much!! Super delicious and generous filling! Recommend the Creamy Uni and Raw Spicy Salmon
Rice is a little bland and could be improved on but the filling is loaded and tasty!
This is probably the last time I will be ordering from here. I loved this place when it opened and have placed multiple orders via ubereats and doordash. The past three orders Ive noticed a drastic change in the size and filling. They also have increased the prices. Due to them increasing the costs and also making them smaller, it isnt worth getting again.
Omg . Warm fresh onigiri
Without posting any sign, they just tell customer that each customer can only order one piece per flavor, after the customers waited for 15 min. Put a sign up to tell people!! Horrible place
The quality is a hit or miss. They have a limit of 3 per person! What kind of business model is that?
Decently tasting onigiri with a bit more rice than I would have liked. Slighty pricey and very long lines. Waited about 30 minutes to line up, order, and receive a spicy salmon ($5) and uni (~$7) onigiri. The sea urchin was very creamy and fishy. The salmon was good too, but had too much rice. Overall, Id recommend trying it once. The lines and the value you get do not justify me going back.
Located in pacific mall had to try this place because of all the hype. First off line ups are long so that a sign it s popular. Prices ridiculously affordable. Portion sizes are huge much bigger than onigiri at other locations. Everything is made fresh so expect to wait. You place your order and a buzzer is given to you so you can continue to shop around while you wait. Expect 1/2 hour wait time. My impressions serving size was huge - rice was soft. My first bite the rice was bland I thought it would be seasoned. The filling I tried spicy crab, salmon and shrimp tempura. The salmon was fresh but lacked flavour. The shrimp was heavily mayonnaised. The spicy crab had a kick to it and I enjoyed it the most. But overall it was average. I wish there was some other texture like fukake or crispy onions. Or a flavour profile that stood out. Even sweet soya sauce would help. Still a nice place to try.
Hands-down, best onigiri you ll find.
Onigiri is really good. However, lining up is an ordeal. My friend and I were lined up on the side, there was only the customer ahead of us ordering at the time. When that customer finished ordering, we walked up. The cashier told us we had to go to the back of the line (which had formed at a different area behind us). Too tired to explain that we were lined up before the new lined had formed, we obliged. During our time in line, not only did the line get moved to a different spot, but the cashier let not just one, but two other customers just cut in front and order ahead of the line. Im really disappointed because the food here is good. For the sake of your customers and their experience, PLEASE MARK CLEARLY WHERE THE LINE SHOULD BE - you have stanchions going one way, but are asking your line to go another. If cashiers arent paying attention all the time, customers get treated unfairly if the line isnt clearly marked.
The Onigiri is very tasty, good portion, good price. I ordered the Tobiko Mayo, delicious. Just I expected the seaweed is criapy instead of soft, maybe this is different style. For the food, it definitely worth 5 stars, however the lineup there is a bit confusing; hope there is a sign indicates the line for placing order and the line for picking up food. I will definitely go back again.
The uni and egg yolk was so delicious.
Onigiri quality itself was pretty good, a little bit on the drier side. However I was really disappointed in the service. Workers were rude when I tried asking questions because it was my first time there. They also only allow 2 onigiri per person and dont tell you until you reach the front to order, which was frustrating after waiting in line for so long for my family of 4.
I was finally able to stop by here when it was open and pick up a couple of onigiri. I tried the chicken teriyaki and the grilled salmon. I definitely think you should eat these right away. Unfortunately, I waited until I got home and they got pretty dry. Taste wise when I got home, the rice wasn t too flavorful, and the filling was just okay. I thought there would be a lot more filling. I bet they would ve tasted more flavorful fresh. I wouldn t rush back here, but if I was in the area, I would probably try the crab mayo.
A busy authentic Japanese restaurant inside the Pacific Mall, they sometimes sell out of certain items. They give you a buzzer, which really helps streamline the process. We ordered two items. The first was the Premium Raw Spicy Salmon Onigiri. There was a good amount of fresh salmon in the middle. Our other choice, the Tobiko Onigiri, was creamy, but I wished there were more fish eggs. In both cases, the rice was very soft and melted in your mouth. There seemed to be a faint trace of rice vinegar, but I couldnt tell for sure.
We got the Uni and Egg yolk onigiri at first. It was super creamy and bursting with umami. Because we like it so much. We also ordered the Ikura onigiri with jap mayo. It was a bit too salty but still good. This place is worth the $6.5 onigiris because of the ingredients.
Saw the hype and line so I thought I give this place a try. Got one of each and they were very pricey, about $6+ each. I have to say this is one of the most OVERRATED places that I have ever went to. The Uni Egg Yolk tasted really grimey and bland. The salmon egg one was extremely salty. And the spicy salmon was ok but nothing special. I really don t get the hype over this place, the food in my opinion was overpriced and tasted horrible
Currently the king of onigiri! No other place can compare at the moment. Service is very organised. Close mon and Tue in April 2024. Not even j-town can compare!
Made fresh to order so it s still warm when served. Got the mushroom eel and the teriyaki salmon. Both were good.
10/10 so good
They fill the onigiri very nicely unlike some places that overdue the rice. They re really nice people too.
Best Onigiri in Ontario. Ive been looking for a place that brought me back to Japan and this place hits the spot.
Tucked away in a cozy corner of the bustling downtown, Onigiri Kaikyotei is a haven for those seeking a quick escape to the tranquil shores of Japan. This quaint eatery, with its minimalist decor and soothing ambiance, offers a reprieve from the relentless pace of city life. As I stepped through the sliding doors, the delicate scent of steamed rice and seaweed greeted me, a prelude to the culinary symphony that awaited. The menu, an ode to simplicity, showcased an array of onigiri, each promising a unique flavor profile. I chose the **Salmon Teriyaki Onigiri**, a classic choice, and the **Umeboshi Plum Onigiri**, a daring venture into the tangy unknown. The first bite was a revelation; the salmon was tender, its savory glaze complementing the warm, vinegared rice. It was a harmonious blend of sweetness and umami, wrapped in a crisp nori that whispered secrets of the sea with every crunch. The Umeboshi Plum Onigiri was a bold contrast, its sour punch cutting through the subtlety of the rice, awakening my senses. It was a challenging flavor, not for the faint-hearted, but for those willing to explore the depths of traditional Japanese cuisine. Onigiri Kaikyotei is not just a place to eat; its an experience, a journey through flavors that are both comforting and adventurous. The staff, with their genuine smiles and attentive service, added to the warmth of the experience. In a world where complexity is often mistaken for sophistication, Onigiri Kaikyotei stands out for its commitment to the beauty of simplicity. Its a reminder that sometimes, the most profound pleasures come in the simplest forms.
We went on a weekend and waited for about 15 mins to place the order. The size and portion is good for the price. Im giving only three stars because one customer can only place one order for the salmon roe rice ball...
They charge $0.20 per packet of soy sauce, feels as strange as charging for ketchup packets. Bizarre choice.
A couple of the onigiri were tasty but most missed the mark. Considering they are freshly made it s disappointing that the seaweed is soggy. The raw spicy salmon was delicious but I thought the rest were just okay. The cooked items with mayo were very soggy and there was a lot of rice for not much filling in some. The unagi and mushroom was almost entirely filled with mushroom. They charged $0.20 for each package of soya sauce and wouldn t give a cup of tap water even though we spent $40. I prefer the onigiri at Heisei Mart at Steeles and Victoria Park. Simpler flavours, and smaller onigiri, but much better with polite staff and it doesn t feel like they are nickel and diming you.
The Onigiri here are to die for. They have lots of different stuffings and they are all delicious. The prices are very reasonable and the amount you get is generous. Service is quick and they have buzzers while you wait so you can walk around the mall still. I love this place so much.
Saw it on tiktok and decided to try it out. They have a good variety of onigiri on the menu that you wont find anywhere else. The taste is pretty decent but I personally think it isnt worth lining up for. I admit theyre very efficient in handling the influx of customers
Bad turnaround time
A little fast food pickup restaurant that mainly have assorted onigiri ( little rice triangle ) lots of choices, very tasty, normally have a lineup and they will give you a pager when your food is ready for pickup, i will definitely back for more
Nostalgic rice balls that remind you of Japan This is a popular shop with a line forming before it opens. When we receive an order, we have a system that will make it for you. You can eat freshly made . I ordered salmon, kelp, and plum. The plum rice ball has two types of plums and soy sauce inside, and I felt the passion that goes into the rice ball Thank you so much
OVERRATED AND UNSANTIARY: After hearing so much about this place, I came to pacific mall just to try this place, but then I got FOOD POSIONING after eating the sea urchin onigiri I had gotten there. I heard one worker asking the other if the uni/sea urchin is still good when they were making it, I brushed it off as nothing by my mistake and now I realized how they still serve food they think arent even okay to serve.
Pick up 2 uni and one spicy tuna today while visit Pacific mall. It is cheating, the uni has no sea urchins, only the flavor ... and i believe it is the imitation version.
Great made to order onigiri. Service was friendly and approachable. Everytime I go to Pacific Mall, I always stop to get these!
The food here is just OK. In all honesty the onigiri is not that good, but has high ratings because the pieces are so big and filling. They dont skimp on ingredients.
Ordered creamy uni and kelp. I ve been anticipating the uni for along time. I was in all honesty expecting a piece of uni however it was a creamy paste with the egg yolk. The kelp had great texture and both were tasty nonetheless. I would often walk by and see a lineup full of eager humans looking to get their hands on their Onigiri. If you re in Pmall and are a fan of Japanese eats, pay them a visit! Worth the experience and rather filling.
I am sure this place had good Onigiri once upon a time as they are popular, went viral on social media and there seems to be line ups constantly but sadly I feel I might have missed the boat on this when they were actually good. First, the rice didnt feel seasoned at all and had no taste. Second, the seaweed is not cripsy, making it an awful experience at consuming this.. Everything was all wrapped in Saran Wrap and therefore, it made it all soggy, (even though it was just freshly made). I got the Premium Raw Spicy Salmon and there was barely any Salmon in it, but so much rice. I couldnt even take a decent picture for my food Instagram account as the thing looked so unappealing as I opened to eat it right away. Also, where was the spicyness? I had better Supermarket Onigiri than this. Definitely not worth the time to line up.
Always a treat. Love the spicy crab. Kids go for teriyaki chicken.
No doubt the best onigiri spot! Uni was very creamy and tasty. Everything else was very good. 5/5 Stars
The spicy salmon onigiri was yummy. Uni one was good too. I wish they had the proper plastic packaging for the onigiri so that it wouldnt make the nori soggy but overall tasty. Great service and made to order. Ill definitely come back!
I would rate this place a 3.5! This place got really popular from TikTok, came on a Thursday and there was a pretty long line. The wait was around 30 min for 6 onigiris. The riceballs are pretty good compared to what is around in Toronto but i think they can improve on the seaweed. It was kinda soggy and not crispy. The fillings were quite generous but there was still quite a bit of rice. We got tobiko, mentaiko, uni, spicy tuna and spicy salmon. My favs were the mentaiko and the uni was interesting too. Is it worth the lineup? Personally i dont think so, but its worth a try if youve never had it.
spicy salmon and crab are 10/10
Decent value for what you get and taste pretty much exactly as what you expect with no surprises. The onigiris are huge with a ton of filling. Some of the filling can be a hit like the spicy salmon sashimi, but other stuff like the chicken teriyaki are rather mediocre. Beware that you will likely be subject to longer wait times as well with plenty of other people looking to grab some.
Good portion and very tasty. Should go when open as they will close periodically to catch up on the orders.
This place blew up! Went to grab some yesterday but the line up was the longest I have ever seen. I am super happy to see this place doing well (as they should be!!). We have been going here for years and the service has always been amazing. Call me basic but my favourite is the tuna. My kids love it too. Husband always gets the spicy cooked salmon. One of our favourite comfort foods. Thank you for always being so consistent 10/10 Kid-friendliness: They love the salmon teriyaki
So good with amazing service!
I used to frequent this place for their onigiri, but I am never coming back again. Today I experienced awful customer service. Very unfortunate because I like their food. I arrived around 1:20pm, and the storefront was covered, as they needed to catch up on orders. Although their break is stated to be at 2:45, I completely understood that they have an overwhelming amount of orders and needed time to catch up. When she opened the cover to pass someone their order, I quickly asked if they re still accepting orders. That s when she brushed me off and said they need to catch up, then slammed the cover without letting me say another word. I didn t know if they were still accepting orders or not, and even new customers who came up behind me did not hear her properly and had asked me what she said. So after another 7 minutes of waiting, I lightly knocked on the cover to ask for the wait time. First, she ignored me completely. Then I repeated myself, and she immediately yelled at me and responded with aggression. She raised her voice at me in front of everyone. I was humiliated and there was no need to yell at me just for asking for the wait time! I only asked that because she didn t even let me speak the first time. I was nicely asking for an estimated wait time, and her response was repeatedly yelling I DON T KNOW, OKAY? EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS BUT YOU. I am never coming back or recommending this place again! Wow. Honestly it was very uncalled for and embarrassing to be yelled at in public, just for asking for a wait time I get they are overwhelmed but that was a horrible encounter. And I was not being rude at all, I am shy and soft spoken and felt attacked.
The best onigiri spot in GTA. Im happy they became somewhat well known on tik tok, but now wait times are 1hr long. Ive been a customer for a while now and before their tik tok fame, I was able to call 15 min ahead, drive to pmall, and be in and out in 5 min. They deserve their popularity; they have been making top quality onigiri and always provided friendly customer service. My hope for them is to expand and open up a bigger store outside of pmall!
Delicious Onigiri!! We tried the spicy mayo raw salmon, tobiko, and mentaiko. Our favourite is the spicy mayo raw salmon. Price is also affordable. If you love onigiri, make sure to check it out! Located at the 2nd level of Pacific Mall.
great spot for tasty & affordable onigiri - located on second floor of pmall in the food court area. can get really busy with line spanning the next few shops. they accept cash/credit/debit. i think it s hit or miss depending on flavour. the grilled salmon one is just a bit dry but the beef teriyaki was super flavourful with the right amount of sauce! i just wish the rice could be seasoned & the seaweed to be crispy/crunchy.
Went there because of tiktok. The onigiri was a decent size but tasted plain.
okay so i order every Saturday and the workers have been nothing short of kind to me. i usually get the extreme spicy crab + one other ranging from chili shrimp (if yall could bring it back that would be nice ;)), spicy salmon or the tuna. probably one of my favourite spots of all time
Worst customer service. The old lady at the front was rude when asking about their product since it was my first time there even told me not to touch there menu. I have been to many Japanese restaurant/store and never experience this such as tachi, taro, Sasaki Fine Pastry, Ramen Isshin, etc. Wont be coming back. Apparently, I wasnt the only customer who had a bad experience based on the other reviews. I rather go to a legit Japanese restaurant/store than to be disrespected. The only people who shop here are young people who got hype over the tik tok video. If you are a foodie go to a legit Japanese restaurant who treats you with better service and food. Even the workers looks miserable because of the rude owner lady.
Always great service and friendly staff. Onigiris are consistent since pre pandemic. Glad they are getting lots of business now. They always have a line up!
Very frugal and yummy Onigiri! Try the Uni one!
This booth is always very busy during lunch hour, best is to call 45 minutes in advance to put your order in and be expected to wait for another 10 minutes to pickup. Very tasty onigiri, 2/3 of rice and 1/3 of meat choice. I think their price is quite reasonable and it s a lot fresher and tastier than the ones in J town. Highly recommended!
Very filing rice balls with good amount of filing. Nori is not separated so it s not crispy even when eaten right away. To be honest, I don t understand the hype. They were ok. Nowhere close to best in Canada . There is a big issue with wait. We arrived few minutes before their listed break time but they were already closed. We waited 1 hour for them to reopen. When they reopened, they only took orders for about 15 mins before closing down again to catch up on orders and the sign states it will be closed for 45 mins. It seems that the closing down to catch up on orders is a common occurrence currently. So be prepared to wait 45 mins to 1.5 hours if you want to these rice balls.
I got the spicy salmon and spicy tuna. Both delicious. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.
Box says raw salmon, raw tuna, tuna; but in the box they were all raw salmon. :(
Hopped on the bandwagon to see what Onigiri KaiKyoTei was all about. All in all, it was a delicious and friendly experience, but nothing special to be exact. There was no lineup on a Friday morning right after opening. However, it s strongly encouraged to come earlier if you plan to check this place out, as they take phone orders too. The Onigiri s were made fresh which I liked, however I have to agree with what most of the reviewers said, which was the rice being bland and unseasoned. The fillings are in generous portions, but not all. I ordered 2 Creamy Uni, 3 Premium Raw Spicy Salmon, 1 Ikura and 1 Tobiko. The Creamy Uni was my favourite. If you love Uni and a kick of sweetness, you will enjoy the Creamy Uni. Note: The Creamy Uni is limited to 2 per person. Overall, the staff were very nice which adds to the experience! It s definitely worth trying out if you re in Pacific Mall, however I would not commute far just to try this.
Very delicious! The staff were super friendly and the service was very fast. I heard of long lines but we went on a Friday night and there wasnt a line up. I had the Teriyaki Beef and Creamy Uni. Excited to return and try different fillings.
Highly recommend calling in advance to place your order as there is always a line and they often close for a couple of hours at a time to catch up on orders. That being said it is absolutely the best place for onigiri in Toronto. The grilled salmon and tuna are my favourite! Generously sized however on the expensive side.
DON T WASTE YOUR TIME I used to go here before they blew up on social media. The portions were much bigger and you would actually get some filing in with every bite. It was delicious. I came here today, my first time coming since they blew up. Remembering how they were before (and I assumed that the quality was going to be the same) I thought the line/wait was worth it. I ordered the extreme spicy crab, let me tell you - it was literally just sauce. Not even a lot. Imitation crab isn t even that expensive but they couldn t even put half a stick in there. They might as well rename it rice wrapped with seaweed with a bit of sauce because it was literally just that. They could ve just said that the crab was sold out instead of selling sauce with rice. False advertising and greediness. If you re looking to waste your money and be very disappointed, this is the place for you.
A good snack with a lot of options, we got the Creamy Uni and Unagi which were both delicious and freshly prepared. Definitely worth the money. Staff were really nice too!
Second time eating here and I ordered about 10 this time. Gotta say it taste amazing and well worth it. Would come back again. Highly recommended.
miserable
We went at 6:12pm and ordered at around 6:30 (since they reopened at 6:20; line was short). Got our food at around 6:45? Paid $31 for 6 onigiris. Staff were nice. Both the premium raw onigiris were on the disappointing end, was expecting fresh chunks but instead got paste-like mush¿ Personally I think they tried too hard to spice it up and should stick to a simple flavour profile instead. For those wondering what the uni (sea urchin) is like, it s definitely an acquired taste. To us, it tasted exactly like what you d refer to as an after-taste. If you know, you know. The mentaiko and unagi were good. Really loved the spicy mayo salmon. Filling was overall fresh and the size was double what you d get in asian grocery stores. I m going to give this place a second try soon, but for now it s 3 stars.
Took the Spicy beef Unagi Extreme spicy crab mayo Spicy salmon cooked Smoked salmon & cream cheese All were good ! My fav was the spicy crab :) Was worried about the queues - but I got lucky :D waiting in line + order + receiving food was within 20 mins :) I went at 3:30pm on a Friday :)
Heard this place is usually very busy with long line ups but lucked out going around 5:30pm on a Monday. Definitely order the CREAMY UNI-so good and lots of filling. Enjoyed the flavour of the extreme spicy crab as well. They closed moments after we ordered, so go earlier :)
This place seems nice, they always have a line, but I have never actually had the food here. Why? because I have been here at 3 separate times on 3 separate days, and they were closed for lunch every single time. I first came at 2:00PM on Friday, April 7, and they were just closing up for lunch, it was Good Friday so a 30 minute early lunch seemed reasonable. The next day, Saturday April 8, I made sure to come earlier at 1:30PM, but they were closed for lunch as well. Today, Saturday April 15, I came at 12:50PM hoping to reach before lunchtime. No dice. They were closing for lunch, again. Online it shows that their lunch is at 2:30PM, and their instore signs offer no detail, the employees did not offer any insight on when they might open up. Maybe this is a bout of unfortunate timing, but it would appear that the operational hours are arbitrary. I have no issue with taking time off for lunch, but when you frequently change the hours of lunch and when they differ from posted hours, you lose credibility as a business.
2.5/5 Onigri Kai Kyo Tei, a food stall located in Pacific Mall, has gained significant popularity on TikTok, drawing long lines of eager customers. However, due to the disruptions caused by the long lines, the stall has implemented advance ordering on Uber Eats for pick-up. The service at Onigri Kai Kyo Tei was notable for its patience and kindness, as they accommodated a mistake in the pick-up date and ensured the order was ready promptly. As a seafood lover, I was particularly excited to try the Uni and Egg Yolk Onigiri, as uni (sea urchin) is one of my favorite seafood delicacies. However, I was disappointed to find that the flavor of the onigiri did not live up to the hype. Having had onigiri from various places, including Japan and Torontos Omusubi Bar Suzume (which I highly recommend), I noticed that the onigiri at Onigri Kai Kyo Tei lacked in flavor, tasting more like plain rice rather than a flavorful rice ball (usually supposed to handle rice with water and salt as to disperse flavour all over the onigiri). Another disappointment was that the uni flavor was barely discernible, as the egg yolk dominated the taste. It seemed that the proportion of uni to egg yolk could have been better balanced in the preparation. Additionally, the nori (seaweed) wrapping was not as crispy as expected, which made it difficult to bite into the onigiri. Despite picking up the onigiri as soon as it was ready, the nori did not retain its crunchiness, resulting in uneven bites and difficulties in tearing the nori properly. Although I have heard good things about other flavors offered by Onigri Kai Kyo Tei, based on my personal experience, I found the Uni and Egg Yolk Onigiri to be overhyped. At this point, I would prefer to have uni nigiri instead. However, I am open to giving Onigri Kai Kyo Tei another try in the future when it is convenient.
Wanted to try this place because of all the hype. There was a very short line when I went at 5:30pm on a weekday. Service was friendly and they accept cash and card. They finished making it in like 2 minutes after I paid. It was packaged well. I got the tuna mayo and it was...just ok. It just tastes like an average onigiri, nothing special. The portion is good for the size though and there was a lot of filling, so it might be a better deal than supermarket ones. Ill probably come again to try other flavours but only if Im in the area.
Decent food. Wish there was a way to pre-order for weekends since no one picks up the phone and uber orders are set for 6 pm minimum. Quality has changed since the increased volume of customers.
One word: Mid Ikura is good wish more ikura compares to rice ratio Uni egg yolk is mid. If you Dont like raw egg do not order. Raw salmon is very good !! Unagi with mushroom is good but sweet! Employees were nice! Over all good but had better onigiri
Lots of filling. Waiting is too long.
We tried the creamy uni, crab mayonnaise, unagi & mushroom, and premium raw spicy salmon. All were delicious, but I especially liked the creamy uni. I m not the biggest fan of uni but it was so delicious. I d go again just for it aha. The line was pretty long though since it s so popular, and they close their shop for a bit to catch up with orders. The wait for the food was long, but I do think it s worth at least trying once.
Decided to check out this place due to the hype, but sadly it didn t live up to it. Tried the creamy uni and raw spicy tuna. Both were bland but there was a good ratio of rice and filling. Seaweed was soggy due to the fact that they don t have the proper method of traditional onigiri wrapping. Went on a weekday so there wasn t too much of a line. Customer service is great though. They accept card unlike most of the stores inside the mall.
Way over rated and there was a big line up on weekend. They became popular due to their videos. So many other food option in the mall. So much better japonese options within a 10 minutes drive.
2 years ago this place was good, when it was just 3 person running the place. Ever since it blew up Quality has sank. They forgot the spicy in the spicy salmon, tanked the uni with no uni, and the size of each one varies so much! I guess its what happens when social media blows it up.
Onigiri KaiKyoTei is a shop that has gained much acclaim for this specialty at Pacific Mall. I recall years ago it was quiet but nowadays the demand is huge their Japanese rice balls! Starting from $2.99, they offer popular traditional fillings ranging from spicy salmon to mentaiko (cod roe). We indulged in a few ourselves: - Creamy Uni: literally packed with the umami flavours, between gooey sea urchin & egg yolk. This one alone was worth the hype! - Unagi Mushroom: a fairly classic filling with mostly braised mushroom. Fairly large amount of rice compared to unagi. A good fill-up. This spot is so busy that its team takes afternoon break. Despite the wait, it s worth a taste for the uniqueness of the onigiri such as creamy uni!
Went around 12:30pm on a Saturday and there was only 2-3 people in line. It took about 10mins to order and get 3. Tried the Creamy Uni and Mentaiko, they are both worth the hype. Would revisit and order the same fillings and try new ones, but wouldn t wait in the 1hr lines this place had when it first blew up online.
5 stars isn t even close to enough! I wish I could give more. I ve been coming here for years since they opened and every single time the onigiri has been perfect. You can really tell when the owner of a restaurant loves the food they serve and I feel it here with every bite I take of their onigiri. The fillings are generous and the perfect amount of flavour to balance with the rice, which I always find is textured perfectly as well. The owner and staff are so friendly and knowledgeable about the food they serve and patient to answer questions. Try the umeshiso!! Edit(1 year later): I wish I could leave another review but all I can do is edit this one, haha. Went back there today for the first time in a while, and I m a regular customer as stated in my previous review so I m so pleased that their quality has been consistent even when experiencing such a boom in popularity. I ve been to japan a couple times since the start of the year and I haven t been able to find onigiri as delicious and generously filled with toppings as these ones, even after visiting the super famous ones you see all over the internet on Japanese and international social media. This is seriously the best place to get authentic onigiri in Canada, I strongly recommend! I saw some of the negative reviews and all I can say is, I hope everyone can have more patience especially when small businesses are adjusting to huge surges in popularity. Onigiri Kai Kyo Tei has always been, and remains to be, my favourite place to eat in Toronto. Vegetarian options: Sufficient options for vegetarians!! The pickled plum and konbu options are excellent
We were excited to try this place because anytime we went it was either closed or there was a long line up. There wasn t a line this time and so we ordered the Crispy Shrimp with Creamy Mayo, Premium Raw Spicy Salmon and the Extreme Spicy Crab. It wasn t spicy and it tasted ok. Suffice to say it did not live up to the hype. They were nice and we received our order pretty quickly, probably waited less than 10 minutes.
Went here today. Friend heard about it from TikTok so thought we would try it out. Tried coming here on a different day but they were closed for lunch. I was excited to try it out since we got here when there was a short line up. I ordered a spicy salmon raw, spicy tuna raw, and grilled salmon onigiri. Each once was around $4-$5. So total came to about $16. Wait time was like around 15 mins because they had a lot of orders to fill and even shut down from taking orders because they were backed up. They gave a buzzer to alert you when order was ready so you could go and sit while you waited. The only onigiri that had a large filling was the raw salmon one. The salmon was diced. I didn t like the tuna filling, although flavour-wise it was ok because the tuna seemed to be combined with wasabi. The tuna was not diced and was like pureed! I wasn t a fan of the texture. The grilled salmon I gave to my son. I wanted to order a raw salmon without spice but they only do spicy salmon for the raw version. The rice tasted plain and each was kinda small for the price. It was mainly rice and I didn t feel like they tasted special. I felt like I probably could ve made it at home with some Costco tuna poke instead and I would have got more servings for a similar price. Of course the flavour would be different but Costco tuna poke is actually quite good. I was still hungry after eating one onigiri. I shared half with my friend to try the different flavours. I won t be going back. Disappointed.
Friendly staff, very pleasant, and extremly great onigiris!
Decent Onigiri but definitely not the best I ve had. The rice did not seem like the traditional short-grain Japonica rice that is typically used in Onigiri. The rice was also not dense enough and fell apart easily. We tried the Creamy Uni and Egg Yolk, Spicy Beef, Spicy Raw Salmon, and Crab Mayo. Out of all the flavours we tried, our favourite was Creamy Uni and Egg Yolk. It is important to note that Onigiri KaiKyoTei may close periodically to complete orders. Often times, they may close for 30 mins to an hour especially during the lunch and dinner hours.
For having onigiri for the first time, it was very delicious and filling. Lineup before opening at 3:30pm, and ordering and waiting for food took only 20 minutes for me, so I guess I got lucky (3:20 pm to 3:40pm). Ordered 4 onigiri (tuna and mayo, salmon roe, cod rod, and sea urchin + egg yolk), rice was tender and formed well, super filling and super delicious. The cod roe and uni/yolk were my favourites. Gotta try more flavours, but I say its worth it. :)
I am not sure what the 5 star hype is but the rice is not that sticky. It breaks off easily and lacks rice wine vinegar and mirin. The stuffing is bland on all flavors and the beef stuffing is made of ground beef omg. (See photo) Bland and tiny little morsels of stuffing I ve eaten a lot Onigiris in Shibuya Japan and this one is a big joke. One star is generous. Not worth my palate.
Restaurant Hygiene Restaurant Design Service attitude Food quality and price
Came to this place in 2020 before it even blew up on Tiktok and can confirm the quality and price are still superb. My favourites are the raw spicy salmon, the tobiko mayo and the spicy crab. If you re not really a seafood eater, they have other options with beef, chicken and shiitake mushrooms. The wait is also not terrible if you go around 3-4pm we waited in line to order for about 3 minutes and another 10 for the actual food. The onigiris are around $3-5 each. Vegetarian options: There are options with shiitake mushrooms and sea kelp for vegetarians. Parking: Parking lot is the same as the regular pacific mall so it fluctuates regularly. It gets incredibly busy on weekends so you may have to park at other surrounding plazas or the back entrance.
so good I had the umoboshi plum onigiri
Great price and super yummy!
Wow this place is great, worth the hype. Fresh tasting food! The onigiris are pretty big too. I ordered the spicy salmon (cooked), raw spicy salmon, and the uni yolk onigiri. It all came up to 18$ for 3 which is great for the amount in each serving. The uni was by far my favourite, it s a bit messy to eat, but that s fine. The location is the 3rd Floor where all the food is located!
Very delicious! I always get a few to go when i come to pacific mall.
It is close but not showing time on Google
Social media has made this a badly kept secret.
I don t understand how this place has 4.5 stars on google review. Their rice balls were ordinary, if not below average. Seaweed was soggy, rice lacked seasoning. The ones I tried had way too much mayo/sauce in them. Super disappointed. On a positive note, their onigiri are quite filling and affordable. Originally, I was gonna give them 2 stars but had to deduct one because my first bite was so disappointing. I really had high expectations from this place based on the reviews. What a shame. If you want to try, make sure you have a different mindset than me. Expect a wrapped leftover rice ball that you made at home and your experience will be automatically elevated to a 5-star.
Visit: September 2023 The onigiris were pretty good, but it was a bit small. I got the salmon sashimi and the uni. I found the uni one to be a bit too liquid and it made the rice and seaweed soggy. The salmon one was quite nice. Eating the onigiri from the top, it was mostly rice, and all of the filling was where the seaweed from, so I found eating it seaweed side first was better I went to try this place because there was a huge lineup. It wasnt anything extraordinary, but it was decent overall Parking: Lots of parking space, but also lots of people
Very disappointed on the food quality. Given a 4.5 overall reviews on Google and a fully Japanese crew, I have some expectation about the food. HOWEVER, the seaweed comes soft and soggy. The loose rise structure taste horrible and is not Japanese rice. The sauce are salty and feels cheap. The food quality makes me remember the leftover riceballs that I made at home. Perhaps their whole point is selling their Japanese crew members instead of the food quality.
Big onigiri and lots of filling!! Love the variety of fillings and price is quite reasonable. It s not a fancy place but quality is key.
The FRESHEST and so delicious ingredients of this onigiri establishment. The most delish and tasty I ve had since my Tokyo vacay . Try: Creamy uni Mentaiko cod roe Premium spicy salmon Premium spicy tuna Came back twice this week yummy Creamy sea urchin Ikura roe Tobiko roe
The rice was mushy and didn t have much flavour, taste like they didn t add any rice vinegar or salt. Filling was good but not worth the hype. Creamy uni had a strong wasabi flavour. Not sure if I would buy again.
Tried the raw spicy salmon and the grilled unagi. Was so good. Would definitely be going back to try more of the other flavors...
I really love these onigiri theyre very filling and delicious. very popular! My favorite is the spicy beef!
I was thoroughly surprised with the the flavour of the 2 onigiris I had order the uni/egg yolk was soooo creamy and flavourful!! My second was the spicy mayo salmon and they asked if you wanted it cooked or raw I chose raw and that definitely did not disappoint. I wished I had taken a picture but... I basically devoured it lol. Definitely highly recommended also I went mid day on a Friday and didnt wait long at all so that was an ultimate plus. Will definitely be coming back to try other selections
I honestly LOVE the Tuna Mayo!! also they put quite a lot of filling in it too which makes it even more tastier! 100% recommended!
UPDATE!! So I was visiting friends 4 months ago and decided to bring my friends to Pmall to try this place again and they ve gone UP! From TimTok viral videos and more traction, they e expanded their menu and upped the quality which is AMAZING! Highly recommend and we luckily didn t line up. Went around midday on a Saturday and after we got our onigiri s, a long line built up. I had the Ikura again and it was an amazing. I had Uni and mentaiko and all was scrumptious It s not too bad. For the price you are paying, you DO get a very generous portion and it s super fresh. Im a bit nit picky when it comes to onigiris. The one I got was Tobiko, and ikura. The Tobiko was pretty on point. LOTS of tobiko and it came with mayo. THOUGH, I was expecting Kewpie mayo, instead it was miracle whip....not what I expected and threw the flavour off for me. The rice wasnt as packed as I wanted so if you are eating this with a single hand, expect the rice to fall from the sides. The Ikura though....I mean its there but I was expecting whole caviar rather than mushed ikura. Again with the mayo, it just threw it off, and the rice wasnt packed. *this is just my preference for onigiri as its supposed to be an on-the-go snack.* Overall I can really just take a star away because the quality was good for the price you pay. Definitely much quicker than the other stalls. I would recommend :)
Creamy uni and raw salmon are so good. Very generous with the filling.
Watch out! Rice was crunchy when trying to eat it! Upon inspection it appears to be undercooked!
I came from out of town and was not disappointed. Absolutely delicious onigiri with generous filling. So fresh and the onigiri were extremely filling. I highly recommend the extreme spicy crab mayo, crispy shrimp mayo and mentaiko. Uni egg yolk wasn t for me but I m so glad I tried it.
Tried out their most popular food in their menus for the first time, which was raw tuna onigiri and BBQ eel + mushrooms onigiri. Brought them home and it was still delicious and tasty. Only feedback I d give is that I know actual Japanese onigiri separate their seaweed from the rice but this is not much big of a deal since packaging that here would be difficult. Pricey but would try more of them on occasion if ever I d visit the mall again!
Their uni/egg yolk is the most creative onigiri I ever had and is what keeps me coming time and time again! Gotta give them mad respects for constantly updating Google maps for their availability cause ain t Nothin worse than driving to a restaurant saying it s open on Google maps for it to be already closed.
I tried two times in this month, the second time, I found that they dont use Japanese Rice, it was a bt disappointed. So no special!
Best Onigiri Ive had! Spicy Raw Salmon is the one to try.
Staff was friendly and their special spicy tuna onigiri was so thick and tasty (you could see in the pic).
Not too sure if this was an one off or the quality is just bad. I ordered from Uber 8 pieces of different flavours, the rice was still warm even after 30 min of delivery time, and rice used was low quality jasmine rice instead of Japanese sushi rice, no stickiness from rice, no flavour added to rice(vinegar, salt, etc) felt like I was having a bowl of rice from ManChu Wok and wrapped with seaweed and meat. I have had many onigiri in Japan and this is no where near it. I understand some places don t put much seasoning for rice but it should not be hot or warm, and rice was under cooked as well I had one piece and didn t want to continue eating the next one. Quite surprised with the high review, maybe this is an one off but I certainly will not order again. Attached a picture of the rice, certainly not close to any good qualify Japanese rice. Big disappointment from a highly rated restaurant
Tried this place last week and ordered shrimp and uni with egg yolk. Fair amount of fillings, portion is quite large with rice, filled me up with one piece. I do agree with the comment from above that the rice used was not well seasoned and undercooked. Not sure if it s authentic or not but it tastes like Chinese Shanghai sticky rice roll in a onigiri shape. However serving warm or cold is more of a personal preference. 2 stars because rice holds the biggest part of the food and quality is not at par.
Portion size and price is gonna make this all worth it! These onigiri are huge, thick amd so nicely filled! As well, they make what you want as you order, so you know it s freshly wrapped. They have a lot of different types of fillings and there s gonna be something for everyone! They are so generously priced with majority of their onigiris ranging between $3 and $4! Cannot best that! Had 3 of their onis: salmon, unagi and uni. Salmon was nice amd could tell it s fresh and not frozen. The unagi was a nice chunk alongside mushroom. Although, I am a mushroom lover, I thought if they left it s just unagi, it would ve been that much better! And the uni, it just melts alongside that salted egg! Service was amazing! Run by a couple, they are so nice and down to earth that you can tell with their greeting! And so upbeat, it s just so sincere of how they are as nice people too! Definitely returning for more of their onigiris! Great job overall! Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics, vids and more amazing content!
Great service with amazing food. 10/10 We tried the spicy Salmon (cooked and raw) and the Tobiko. I can not believe how good they were. The portion size is also plenty. I genuinely wish we lived closer so we could try everything on the menu.
My husband LOVES this place. We drive from Vaughan just to get them. Hes telling me he wants to one day work there... I think hes serious
Best rice balls in Toronto
Just ordered the chef recommended pieces. It tasted really goood, Oish . The staff was friendly too. Thank you!!!
Its so delicious! I ate it for the first time in Toronto. It s the best (^^) Please try it!
Delicious, warm, and affordable onigiri! Love the variety. Perfectly portioned for kids too!
One of the best Onigiri Restaurant I have had. Authentic Japanese flavour, and amazing customer service, called me back telling me one of the tea wasnt going to be cold on my UberEats order. would def coming back and order more food from them.
Ordered 2 onigiri and the amount you get for the pricing is amazing. Tasted wonderful and very filling. Will definitely be coming back here soon for more.
This place literally has the best onigiri around! Large portions for a good price. The staff are very sweet!
Very friendly staffs. Amazing food I can get throughout the year. Fresh taste, crunchy, crispy and generous amount of filling at fair price. Surprisingly, it always stays warm in the container until I open them at home which takes about 20 mins from the mall. If you wanna try legit Japanese Onigiri, you should try this one. Such a healthy snack for kids and they love it! Strongly recommend :D
The spicy salmon rice balls are super delicious. Although the price has been increased, I will repurchase.
Their onigiri is delicious and made with love
Great food, tasty and fresh!!!!
i work at the arcade on the second floor and decided to go here during my lunch break. staff was suuuper kind to me omg! the spicy salmon onigiri was delicious, will sure be going here again :)
Great onigiri, I usually order the spicy raw salmon but this time I also got the uni with egg yolk which was delicious! Great to pack as a lunch when walking around. They close for a break sometimes.
I love this place! The staff is always friendly and the lady at the counter always greets me warmly. Their onigiri is the best in the city!
Food is so fresh and tasty, my favourite place to go to for a filling meal! The staff here is so polite and lovely, I always recommend this place to my friends. Definitely need to go here everytime youre at pmall! also i found my wallet thank u so helpful!!
Soooooo delicious!!!! And fresh and amazing. The food is always warm and filling. The owners are so kind!!!!!!!!! I 100% recommend
Picked up two onigiri: the extreme spicy crab and crispy shrimp which was ready in about 10 minutes. The onigiri was freshly prepared and a decent portion, with a fairly balanced filling to rice ratio (more so for the spicy crab one). I found the crispy shrimp one to have big bites of salty mayo which wasnt great but with a few bites of rice, balanced out a bit. The extreme spicy crab was good. Service is very friendly.
I can not say enough good things about this place and their food. Ive been coming here for years now and still love it as much as I did before. This place is located upstairs in Pacific Malls food court. As soon as you go there, you are greeted by the friendly people there. They always have a welcoming big smile and makes every customer feel appreciated. This time, my husband and I ordered spicy crab, spicy raw salmon, crispy shrimp, uni and egg yolk and egg yolk and butter soy sauce. They dont skimp on the filling and everything is made fresh. Rice is perfect texture and the ratio to rice and filling is just right. Everything I have ordered has never disappointed. It is hard to pick which ones are my favorite because they are all so delicious, but if I had to...i would highly recommend the spicy crab and the spicy raw salmon ongiri. TRUST ME, you wont regret it. I also love how they label them if you order a variety so you dont have to guess which is which. And dont forget to order the RAMU soda! The melon and original flavor are my favorites. It is the perfect pairing to eat with the onigiris. Overall, I will continue to recommend this place to everyone. They have options for everyone;VEGAN, VEGETARIAN, PESCATARIAN, MEAT-EATER....THEY GOT YOU COVERED. So next time you are in the area, stop by here and give it a try. Youll want to keep coming back for more and more
Onigiri was very tasty and fresh! They were prepared super fast, and packaged conveniently with labels for which one is which on the box. If youve got an appetite you will need to order at least 3-4. Highly recommend!
delicious!
Tasty rice balls with fresh filling, it s like sushi but way more portable. I suggest trying at least a couple, they re prepared fresh and are very filling!
Very Friendly Price and nice food! The food is fresh and really value for the money.
Delicious onigiri! We always come here whenever we re in Pacific Mall. The crispy shrimp and spicy crab are my favourites. Lovely small business.
Reminds me of the onigiri I had when I was in Japan! Prices range from 3.99-5.50 per onigiri and they re big so 2 is enough for one person. Uni yolk was really good, was on the sweeter side but also savoury from the egg yolk. Ikura was okay, filling was sparse bc the ikura was superrrr salty and I felt like there was too much mayo, cod roe was probably my favourite and I ll be coming back for this one :)
Generous portions and super fresh. Made to order. Got mine around 10 minutes and everything tasted good
We went to Onigiri KaiKyoTei upstairs of Pacific Mall, located on the right side closer to the back where the seating area is. We went around the afternoon and they weren t too busy but we waited about 10-15 minutes for 6 onigiris. This time we got the Unagi (BBQ eel) & mushroom ($4.19), Creamy Uni (Sea Urchin & Egg Yolk) ($5.49), Crispy Shrimp with Creamy Mayo ($4.09). Our favourites from here are the eel one, Tuna Mayo ($3.09), Smoked Salmon and cream cheese ($4.59). But honestly they are all really good and very affordable. Very nice workers and I look forward to coming back to try more!
Ordered from this food court stall on the top floor of Pacific Mall many of times. All flavours of onigiri that I ve tried have been delicious and fresh including crab mayo, raw spicy salmon, cooked spicy salmon, creamy uni, and mentaiko. Food court seating is available. When they are busy, and they often are because so many people order from here, there may be about a 20 minute wait to prepare the order.
Best place for Onigiri Ive had, hands down.
Super tasty and fresh, delivered warm. Absolute authentic Japanese taste. Im somewhat amazed by this order..
The onigiri here is tasty. Tons of variety too and the pricing isnt too bad. The spicy salmon is a must try
I ve been to Japan a couple of times and have really been craving onigiri lately, so I was excited when I saw spotted this booth in pacific mall. I ordered the uni + yolk one and it was so delicious! If you ve had uni (sea urchin) before and enjoy the taste, then you ll absolutely love this. I can t wait to return and try the other options.
You will be drooling spicy salmon is superior!
I love this little onigiri stall! They are made fresh to order and I got the raw spicy salmon one and the miso pork one (: both were really yummy and filling and such a great price! Highly highly recommend
Their onigiris are so tasty and huge. The staff is also very nice and sweet. Ingredients always taste fresh and Ive never had a problem with their food.
Every time I get onigiri Im never disappointed with this place
Reasonably priced, tasted great and fresh. Ordered chicken teriyaki, spicy raw salmon, uni & salted egg yolk, and crab mayo. All were excellent and would get them again.
I love this place. Onigiris are packed with fillings. Been coming here since they open up before the pandemic. owners are super kind.
Rice is cooked and seasoned to perfection, thats all you need to make a great onigiri. Great quality and good prices
Lovely little place! Found it super filling and would recommend the creamy shrimp and crab.
Friendly staff, food always tastes amazing!
Onigiri was pretty good, I wouldn t say they re THE BEST I ve ever had but they tasted fresh at least! We ordered 7 different flavours to try & each one was good. There s a pretty long wait time though, so I would recommend ordering in advance.. Also reasonably priced.
Wish I got more! Spicy salmon was fantastic and fresh.
Delicious onigiri and very friendly staff!
Simply the best. This place is the only reason I d visit the food court.
Fresh and delicious
The serving portion is great and the food is always fresh!
The best onigiri Ive had in Toronto. I tied the spicy salmon and sea urchant and thry are really good .
Ive been here a couple of times now. Filling is reasonable for the size of rice ball. Rice itself is seasoned. Service very friendly. An inexpensive and healthy snack.
Delicious!
Outstanding flavors and size. Ikura is truly awesome.
Great price and staff here. Amy was super nice with recommendations and the portions were substantial and exceeded the size we we re expecting. Had the seaweed and mushroom one, definitely recommend the mushroom Onigiri to my veggies looking for a snack at a good price.
Always has been my go to restaurant in Pacific mall. They make the best Onigiris in Toronto. Their menu has amazing items and customized options to choose from. Crab mayo, spicy salmon and ikura are a personal favourite. This place never disappoints. Staff is very welcoming.
Authentic onigiri! We all enjoy very much!
There are some very popular hour long line up onigiri shops in Tokyo. This store right here.HERE. in Markham could give them a run for their money. My only regret is why didnt I try this place sooner? These are no ordinary onigiris at a conbini. These are massive flavourful rice balls that is packed with filling, deliciousness and love. I recommend the ikura, tuna mayo and miso pork. Service is very friendly.
