Cora Breakfast and Lunch in Markham

This is a great place for breakfast. I go here every Sunday with a friend of mine and were never disappointed. Service is great and food is good.

Went for breakfast 2 days in a row, was staying across the road......happy to see this spot here. Food was great, came out in a timely manner. Service was good and priced fine. Went both mornings around 9:00 and we were looked after very well. Group of 6-8.

Sloppiest location of Cora s. Waitress was passive aggressive and slow. The food here is prepared terribly and rushed, other locations are way better

Got a smokee meat skillet. Tasted good but for almost $22, the portion size was too small.

I recently visited Cora, and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The portion sizes were ridiculously small for the price. I spent $55 on two skillets and left feeling unsatisfied and ripped off. The Halloumi Chorizo Skillet, priced at $19.45, was underwhelming in both quantity and flavor. Similarly, the $21.45 Smoked Meat Skillet was not worth the cost small portions and nothing special to justify the price tag. For a place known for its breakfast and brunch options, I expected better value for my money. Cora needs to seriously reconsider their pricing or step up their portion sizes because what they re offering right now just doesn t cut it. Save your money and eat elsewhere.

The employer is rude and unfriendly all the time. I won t be coming back here anymore. The old employee, who I believe has worked there a long time, doesn t seem happy. If she s unhappy, she should consider changing jobs. Poor service !

Made a reservation here over a month in advance. When I was trying to confirm it a few days before, it was impossible to get a hold of anyone. I called several times, in different days, left voicemails and nothing! Then of course, on the day of the event they didn t have our reservation Service

Unpleasant waitress with the glasses. 1. Very unpleasant welcome. We stepped into the restaurant and she very coldly told us to wait to be seated. This is not how you greet customers. Would it have hurt you to ask nicely? This unpleasant and unwelcoming tone would continue, however. While she was chatty and friendly with some other customers, she remained mostly cold, aloof, and indifferent with us. Later, another customer came in and she greeted him with all smiles. Not sure what we did to offend her, but talking to her felt mostly uncomfortable and unwelcoming. 2. She offered me to replace my finished smoothie with a glass of water (nice!), but then took around 5 minutes to get said water. 3. After we paid she dropped the receipt on the table, then left. No thank yous, no goodbyes, and no have a good days. Strange, as I saw her warmly bid another customer bye bye. Perhaps she was unhappy with how much I tipped her. Well, madam...tips are EARNED, not given. If you provide inferior service, you get an inferior tip; expect to reap what you sow. If you make me feel unwelcome, then you should not expect me to be generous when its time for tips. Please give your staff better training, to avoid this kind of situation in the future. This was an amazing experience. Having brunch here a few times was one of the highlights of my stay in Toronto. The food was delicious. Chai my waitress was an absolute wiz at making me feel as though I was a VIP. I felt well taken care of from beginning to end and would absolutely return on my next trip to Toronto. If I could give this place 6 stars I would.

I was there before a few days and I had a delicious lunch..

Slow service. Asked for and paid for extra bacon and got a smaller service than my friend who purchased the same. Asked for potatoes to be well done and they were as undercooked as usual.

Dropped in for breakfast on our way home, and it was a typical Cora location. Food was what you expect, lots of varieties, coffee was good service a little slow, but she was the only one so expected in these times.

Looks to have been short staffed. Tables were dirty around us, stuff on the floors, and short supply on fruit smoothie bowl. Servers were nice but it was a bit of a mess today. For giggles I tried the wrapped hot dog crepe. Dont do it

I recently visited Cora Brunch and was deeply disappointed with the service. The experience was unlike any Ive had at Cora before. We encountered a significant delay in being served, and when our waiter finally attended to us, the service was poor and inattentive. It was frustrating to wait so long, especially given that the restaurant was not particularly busy at the time. The lack of prompt and courteous service really marred our brunch outing. I hope this feedback helps Cora improve their service standards to match the quality that patrons expect and have previously experienced.

Very cozy atmosphere especially for a quick breakfast. I came after a run and got a Gargantuan combo filled with every breakfast item imaginable. All the cooked foods were quite tasty, however the cantaloupe was still hard and left a sour feeling in my mouth. My server was extremely attentive and nice, great place overall.

The restaurant is fine. Not much to write home about. The service was very good but the food left us highly disappointed to say the least. I went for the salmon Benedict and my partner went for the crepes. The eggs, salmon and the hollandaise did not even come close to the ones I have had at other establishments. My partner felt similar towards her choice of food. The experience due to the quality of the food left us highly disappointed. Dont think we will ever be going to Cora again.

But why isnt the window area available for dining?

When we got here is like 11am ish. Not busy at all. Idk what the waitress rushing for, she didnt take the order of mine correctly, gave me the wrong one, FINE. Then get a new one, but transfered the bacon and the potatoes from the previous wrong order to my plate which got COLD when I get the food. Disappointing..... other cora close to my other house always takes time and make sure what u want is correct....

Worst Cora Ive been to anywhere. Food tastes off and servers have attitudes. Cora will always have a special place in my heart, but Ill avoid this particular location in the future.

My boyfriend and I went to this Cora right after the most unpleasant experience at the Markham plaza Cora location. (Please don t go there. Service is absolute trash) The place was busy and packed, but we still got a table within seconds unlike the Markham plaza location. We got served by Jeya, and she was so amazing. Despite the fact that she was really busy, she was very accommodating and professional. We were in a bit of a hurry as we had plans and our time was hugely wasted by Markham plaza s Cora location (they spent almost 40 minutes of our time wasted and we couldn t order anything) but Jeya made sure our needs were met. Cora s Montreal meat skillet is what we usually get, and it s always good to have. We ll definitely be coming here again!

Good food, service, healthy options and fair price make it a value option... be with family, friends or colleagues.. ample parking is a bonus.

Horrible experience this morning. They used to have great service at this location. Wonder what happened. We waited for at least 15 minutes for someone to place the order. Two ladies passed by. I kept saying hello . But they both ignored me. I always tipped at least 15%. The first time I tipped only 2.5 dollars for total $57 today. Won t go again

This location is very small and gets packed quickly. That said, the wait is about 15 minutes, and the food is worth the wait!

One of the most expensive locations. They only have 2 servers and there was a long line up. As usual the food is good but they need to improve in the staff to handle the volume of customers.

Horrible service, the server was so rude, criticized me bringing my own water bottle by stating that no outside drink allowed in front of all customers. I left alone without joining the family brunch.

I dont know how this place have 4 stars?! Asked for suasage, egg and potatoe wedges with brown toast. Tasteless burned food. The toast was cheap bread you buy from nofrills that has weired smell! Have come here regularly, extremely disappointed this time! Multiple tables available still have to wait more than 15 mins thats okay everyone were busy. I looking for table of five, however just put into a sofa table of 4, told the gentleman will there have others available table. The reply is have to wait long, okay, there have no choices. When we seat down, he just arrange a group of 3 to a table of 6. Whats the great arrangement. When going to orders, a banana and strawberry pancake, told you that running out of strawberry! Such an excited experience.

Coras continues to be a great choice for crêpes and other French Canadian breakfast treats. The food is fresh and well-made, but the recent price increases make it a special occasion treat.

Been to this breakfast chain restaurant before, just not this particular location. A bit of organized chaos here. When you come in its just standing right there waiting for your table even though theres a few tables available? Service was decent and the waitress was friendly enough. Food left me unexcited. I had the steak and eggs Benny but there was hardly any steak. Overall I would still probably return to this particular location if I was in the area and wanted some breakfast and I wpuld still recommend to those nearby who like breakfast.

Really enjoy this place for a good big breakfast. It s a little more expensive than a lot of the local diners but well worth it for the quality of the food. It can get a little noisy when there are hockey teams there, but what place doesn t. Been going here for a few years and will continue to as it s my favourite spot for breakfast.

Went to order for pickup. Stood there for 15 minutes. When the employee finally saw me waiting, she let me know she needs to give a big group their drinks before she gets to me and I said no problem, but then a couple came in after me and she seated them and tended to them first? Once I was able to order, she spoke extremely quickly and was really rude, she asked me, Thats it? Whats your breakfast? after I had literally just ordered. She didnt let me know the different options i could pick from and looked annoyed when I asked her. I also watched them ignore every single phone call as I waited for my food. Kinda sad because the restaurant wasn t even half full and they had full staff.

That sounds like a terrible experience. Finding a strange hair on the apple and then only receiving a $4 discount, labeled as a 20% off, after half the fruit plate was taken away is quite disappointing. That meal must have been really nauseating . I didnt really want a $4 discount!!!

Fast, Friendly, Value I ve always had this location of Cora as #1 breakfast option and finally decided to add this review. Our server Chai, reminded me of the wonderful staff this location has. I would put everyone s names here when I find out their names. Chai served us this time and was extremely friendly, helpful and fast in her service. Because we told her we have a flight to catch, she went above and beyond by letting the cooks know we where in a rush. The food quality is as great as the quantity and all for great value

We went to this location for New Years brunch. The restaurant wasnt busy. We got our table immediately. The egg Benedicts were cooked well. However, the fresh fruit was poor. The kiwi was overripe and couldnt be picked up by a fork. The orange was dry. They were prepared a long time ago. Coffee was okay but not as good as Tims or McDonalds. Service was good and they refilled my coffee a few times.

Decent breakfast food, with a large menu to select from. This location has very slow service, from the greeter to the waiters. Slow at getting customers seated even when tables were available, slow to serve, and slow to deliver food. I would recommend visiting another Coras.

This store is not well organized and managed, few tables been opened for half an hours, no one is willing to setup, they just want customer to wait on the line. If you asked them the time of waiting, you answer is always 20 minutes. No matter you are in the first or last.

It seems management and service is not up to par with the rest of the chain when it comes to these 2 Coras in the Markham area. Weve noticed this for several years now. Incomparable to other locations in Toronto, Pickering or Quebec. Facilities are literally falling apart.

Its been 6 months since we visited and usually good, but the food today was mediocre (pancake was undercooked - twice, sausages were barely warm, potatoes barely roasted, bread was soggy from butter). Service wasnt much better but compd a drink to make up for the pancake. Top of pepper shaker was crusty and no salt shaker (salt packets on request). Will try another Coras next time.

As always, super extensive menu, yummy food, and friendly staff. We did have to wait a bit for a table even though all that needed to be done was cleaning the empty ones, but I think that speaks more to the managers who didnt Stagg enough workers to deal with Sunday brunch rush. Our drinks did take some time to arrive and food did too. But again the staff were apologetic about it, which isnt really their fault. Food was good, and the one mistaken order was replaced very quickly.

The worst eggs Benedict Ive ever had. The hollandaise sauce was lumpy and gross. The English muffin was rubbery. Just disgusting!

I ate there twice, and in both times the food was good. I ordered the banana and strawberries pancakes and they were delicious. Cappuccino wasnt note worthy, but the mochaccino was awesome. Theres plenty of space to sit,but not many staff around, so you might wait a little before you order.

Coras has been quite consistent in crafting delicious breakfast/brunch meals and they have reasonable serving times. Weekend mornings can get very busy, so there may be delays to be seated. For some reason, there is a severe lack of spoons even though we did not go during peak hours.

This place is probably mismanaged. Came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Long line up to outside the door with empty tables available....Why?

Coras certainly serves a breakfast. Admittedly, it does feel like it lacks a little soul. The service was fine, but almost everything we tried had some sort of slightly odd taste that left us nauseated by the time we left. For the price paid, it does not live up to expectations. Try brunch somewhere else if youre not deadset on this!

Once we arrived there was huge line for a Saturday morning as expected. After about 20 minutes of waiting, we were finally the first in the line. Then when a customer was behind 5 groups of people they asked the staff to skip the whole line because their father was hungry. We have to done our breakfast in one hour and the person behind us in line has a senior so we have to insist all of us have to get our spot asap. The manager then managed that by offering food. The problem that is really frustrating since the manager glared at us all the time with rude attitude . The food is still the best but the service

Even when I said thank you for coffee and bringing food to me, there was no response. Service used to be better. ------- Service was good. Food was fine. Just had a terrible experience today at this Coras. Firstly I have never seen such a dirty restaurant. The front entry was filthy as if the floor hadnt been washed in months and the French doors glass is disgusting, Both me and my table mate found hair in our food under the eggs and pancakes. This turned out stomach and we stayed only because it was a birthday breakfast. Will never go back.

Food was decent enough, but the place is very understaffed. We came in as a family on Friday afternoon which i dont think was a very busy time and sat down with no service for 15-20 mins. Not even a cup of water. After we called the waitress attention, we continually felt ignored as other ppl who came in afterwards were served first. It was a larger group so perhaps they were paying more attention to the group that would pay a higher tip? Im not too sure. Its unfortunate because we used to come often a few years back and it was really nice.

After all these years... The quality still has NOT change one bit

I am mistrustful of the food safety issues here, the entire store floor, tables, and chairs are filled with uncleaned trash. The teenagers serving us kept rolling their eyes and had no sense of service. We didnt know why we should receive such treatment when we just came for a meal.

Many types of fruits, but not so fresh. Eggs are small, and the prices are over price. There are many seats inside, and the server takes us near the door. It is so cold when someone comes in or out.

Worst experience ever. We live nearby. Yesterday we went to have breakfast early in the morning. When we walked in, there was no one to greet us. A male employee saw us but did not serve us when we entered. Another old woman did her thing without even looking at us. So we stepped forward a little further. Suddenly the old woman rushed over and yelled that we should wait for her to take our seats. We were already scared and felt uncomfortable, and instead of doing her job, she made us wait! The waiters who have been to other branches before are very enthusiastic! At that time, we were the first Taiwanese customers to have no customers at all! Immediately after we sat down, several white people came in, and the old woman immediately rushed to welcome them and said morning. I was immediately offended and furious! When she came to place the order, she didnt have a smile on her face and looked very angry. If I hadnt sent my family to the airport to depart, we wouldnt have gone here! If that old woman thinks this job is boring, she should go home and retire and not ruin other peoples beautiful day here! I demand that the restaurant formally apologize to us and fire this disgusting employee!

Place does not hit the bar for vegetarians. Its a good breakfast place - crepes, fruits. I ordered eggless burrito crepe, I did not like it. My friend who ordered with eggs, said it was good. Smoothie was good.
