7750 Kennedy Rd #4, Markham, ON L3R 0A7, Canada
Outpost that offers a variety of classic Chinese dishes in a simple setting with a welcoming vibe.
Excellent dim sum experience!! Went on a weekday at 11 am and no wait though was full inside! The dim sum was PIPING hot and delicious, HUGE portion size especially for the price! Price was incredible - if you leave before 1130am it’s $3.99 all sizes and after 1130am it’s $4.59 all sizes! Very very tasty! We had a lot of their specials as well (their daily pork chop special with hk MT) and had their red bean ice cream freeze which is a hk classic!! Ordered some specials $7 dishes for dinner to go and we loved it! Ordered some regular fried rice as well ! Have recommended to all! We will be back! We left at 1 pm btw and huge lineup on a weekday !
Busy restaurant and plaza, arrive early for parking spot. Decent food, good service. Very busy tonight, food came out of typical order. Put our cake in the fridge and brought it with the decoration sticks put in. My parents love this restaurant for some reason, so ofc, my dad picked this spot for his bday dinner party. We had reserved for 5:30p for 14 people, and our table was ready and waiting for us without delay. My mom picked a set menu, which included soup, peking duck, lobster, fish, shrimp roll, veggies, chicken, sweet and sour pork, noodles and rice, and a fried oysters to try. The set menu veggie appeared to be swapped with an alternative today. The fried oyster was humongous. It was plenty big to split half with someone else, as did the rest of the table. The dishes came in an odd order, most likely due to being super busy. For starters, we had the soup, and typically, the Peking duck cones next. Oddly enough, the steamed fish came next, which resulted in a fish-soy-saucy plate for the Peking duck that came next. Aside from the kitchen food timing/order, service was superb.
Came here for breakfast on a Weekday. Once we ordered on the menu/ order form, the food came out pretty quickly. Not the most generous portions. The pot rice was disappointing. The rice was under cooked and placed in the pot (not cooked in the pot). Parking available in plaza.
Haven't been here for some time. The food is still good value for the money. The Peking duck was tender and yummy. The duck meat was diced and fried with many ingredients to make up another big dish with ample lettuce for wrapping (compared to usually very small ones from other restaurants). Better carpool due to scanty parking space.
It's by far one of my favorite Chinese restaurants! The food is consistently delicious. This is our "go-to" restaurant for any occasion. The variety of dishes that they have is great. They also have set dinners to satisfy any cravings. I highly recommend trying Fancy Chinese Cuisine if you want authentic Chinese food... because it's that good!
Probably one of the cheapest dim sum you’re going to find right now as they have their promotion going on. Monday - Friday expect holidays $3.98 S, M & L if you leave before 11:30. They got a good variety of items. The best one is probably their steamed rice in pot which is only a large item. We tried all of them, they’re all huge and tasty. I even ordered an extra one and packed it for lunch the next day. Their salted pork and preserved egg congee, it is also a large size item and it was gigantic plus it had a lot of filling. Their sesame ball with egg yolk was also really hot and fresh. Super good prices for the amount and quality you’re getting, definitely recommend trying them out!
Dim sum is nice. Environment is good. The price is reasonable as they have discount everyday before 11:30am and after 1:30pm. I like that because i can still enjoy the discount on weekend. Even though the size of dim sum might be small compared to other restaurants, i can try more items. Recommended!
A lot of my favourites Dim Sum restaurant closed during covid & Now I finally found another place that really good! The food here is make well everything tastes great. I love Siumai & squid legs. If you love Dim Sum check this place out!
Good options on your dim sum staples. They do it very well. Everything is made to order. You mark the sheet, so no waiting for a cart to come around. Not busy on a Monday morning. We were seated right away. Food came quickly.
Best value, budget friendly! The food quality is similar to other dim sum places but the deals are so much better. Discounts available for dim sum before/after certain time of the day, special set-menus on weekdays (lots of food for its price), and special priced items listed on side menus. The only thing to keep in mind is that tips are already included in the bill, and there is a minimum order amount per table ($25). So if youre one person, youll have to order the minimum $ but feel free to takeout anything you cant finish.
Cheap and good quality, good value for money.
Excellent restaurant overall. My parents and eat here for morning dim sum and dinner.
Pretty good
Went there for dinner on a typical busy Friday night. Summery. Some dishes were not even edible. Pekking Duck slices were beyond thick and large for wrapping and consumption Lettuce wrap dish for the duck was double fried and not edible Sweet and sour chicken was dried, super large pieces, and non chewable because it was fried for too long. Go elsewhere.
They have been there for decades and still going. The only issue that I have with this restaurant is we need to have at least 5 to 10 extra minutes to find a parking spot.
Good food and good value. The early bird dim sum items and daily specials are good value. Large portions. Will be back.
Nice food, good price
This is the worst dimsum restaurant I ve been to. It takes so long to receive a single dish after single dish, and they all come out not so hot. We waited long and decided that it wasn t worth waiting for all our food so we paid for what came out and left.
Good price for afternoon dimsum (after 1:30 pm)
Extremely busy during the dimsum hours. Expect to wait. Parking is a challenge as well Food
cost effective, food quality is fair, services may depend on who is serving.
We had dimsum here last week after a long time. They have a late dimsum offer where all small, medium & large choices are less than $4. Everything we ordered came quickly and was delicious. The quality and portion size are still good. We ll definitely come back again.
The best budget friendly dimsum. We came here on a Monday around 9am. Their early bird special was $4/dish before 11:30am. Great prices, food was okay - some dishes were better than others but cant complain for that price. There were 4 of us and we ordered 10 dishes; with tea, tax and tip, it was around $60
Morning tea, large, medium and small items are all $3.98 from Monday to Friday Desserts are average But the skin of the sausage roll is relatively hard There are so many announcements here that it s dazzling! 2024/11/15 I can t wait to visit Li Jiasheng, so I will write down my experience during this visit... First, look at a piece of dim sum paper and write down that the cash prices for large, medium and small dim sum are the same, but when placing the order, Ms. Asia added an extra sentence, the minimum purchase is $25, and then pointed to what was written on the outside. Those who have been to Li Jiasheng should have seen this. There are so many notices and leaflets posted near the door that it looks like a democracy wall Let s talk about the dim sum. All the dim sum were not hot enough. I felt like the kitchen had to wait for a while to get the order. Especially the fried rice dumplings. They were so delicious. The fried rice dumplings were so delicious. It s really troublesome Because it s not hot enough, I ruined the sun-dried pineapple dumplings, shrimp dumplings, and taro wedges I added pork knuckles later because I had to wait for half an hour. It was so hot and delicious It took us two hours and the lunch cards were all issued When the cashier came out with an order, it looked like they had charged too much. It turned out that they had added a 12% tip after tax in advance I kept silently doing it again D filthy... It s not because all of you regular customers already know that you need to add 12% for me in advance. You shouldn t just print it in big words on the slip
This place is a family favourite, haven t stopped coming since they opened love their dimsum.
For dining here, it is best to choose a time, otherwise you will have to queue up and wait for a table. The food and price are good enough to visit every day.
Maybe I became a boss, but the price of the food is better than before.
Honestly, pretty average, maybe below average Dim Sum for the wait. I would probably look elsewhere unless this is your only option. The Silky Sweet Tofu dessert is good, but everything else kind of lacks taste.
Medium price and large quantity. tasty. Better than before. There are western drinks. No change.
You need to reserve a table ahead of time. It is almost impossible to walk in and expect to get a table. Food is good and the price is reasonable. Service is good with respect to the price you pay.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had been here. Love the dim sum and dinner options
The dim sum quality is just so so, but value for money.
Good dinner combo and service
It was my first time to have dinner. The service attitude was good. The hot pot was full of energy. The food was delicious and the dishes were large. They included Luo Han Zhai fried noodles, vegetables, peppers, shrimp and chicken slices. The taste was very satisfying.
The service is average and the snacks are average. Its really far worse than before.
Good food at a reasonable price. We went for dinner on a Friday at 6pm and the restaurant was already full; business was not as good as before, because I remember parking used to be a huge problem at the plaza, but we had no problem with parking on Friday. We ordered a set dinner and added a steam eel. The food was hot and tasty. The steamed eel was a bit of a disappointment, it wasnt very fresh and the meat was not elastic like it should be. Overall a good dining experience, and the service was good.
Good deal
I am eagerly anticipating an exquisite breakfast dim sum with my family in the near future. I am excited about the prospect of sharing a meal and cherishing quality time together.
Typical Hong Kong style restaurant is crowded and noisy but the food is really delicious and there is no choice
Don t order the sauce-flavored steamed Suzhao. The price is SP, the taste is crispy and hard to eat. This is the first time Ive seen Suzhao charge such a price.
Great food, big portions, and most importantly, solid prices. We go here probably once a week even though we arent close.
Hard to find the parking even weekday in the morning , food price is reasonable but the food quality is average. Sometimes pay a little more to get better food quality, taste, atmosphere and service etc ...
One point is too much, this is the worst takeaway I have ever eaten
Very pleased with our dim sum yesterday! Staff was very nice and the food was tasty!
Great food and great price. Spacious seating.
Very delicious hong kong style dim sum restaurant
Good place for Chinese food. Great service. Two thumbs up!
Food wasn t great and the service even worse. Waited 30 mins for the table even there were 3 -4 empty tables. We had 3 kids in our table and we waited more than an hour for the food to come. The servers weren t willing to follow up with our order and just kept asking us to wait. We wanted to talk to the manager but he didn t even care. Their attitude was horrible and unacceptable. There are tons of dim sum restaurants in that neighbourhood, DON T GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!
Pretty good place, nice spacious seating, friendly staff and good food. Theres even early and afternoon tea prices. March 2024 update: came for dinner on Sat evening, parking was busy in the plaza but the restaurant itself was good. Had reservations for 8 and only had to wait a little for the table to be ready. Food was good. Tried the king crab dinner meal. July 31, 2024 - Had dinner here midweek for 7:30pm reservations wasnt sure about parking and whether it would be hard to find but it was fine with lots of spaces available. Likely busier mainly on weekends or Friday nights for second dinner seating parking. Service was good and food quality also good. They gave tapioca taro dessert soup and sesame cookies such were just OK but its free. =) Parking: Midweek for 7:30pm there was no issue finding parking, weekends much busier for the later dinner seating.
Server wont give you a bill with items listed. Service charges were added without warning to (new) customers.
Amazing food and staffs. Best dim sum in town. It s far from my place but definitely come back again.
This place has so many printed signs at the entrance that it feels like I should have been given a legal document. The service was very slow, and the food was below average. I guess since they already force a 12% service fee once you dine in, they dont feel the need to care about service or food quality. The special pineapple BBQ bun was rock solid, like it was two days old. It was so hard that you couldnt even step on it. Note: Theres a special price depending on the time of day, and its cash-only. I wouldnt return here because there are better dim sum spots in the area. Plus, parking is a hassle since each store in the plaza has only two dedicated spots, so you have to drive around and fight for a space.
Went here for dim sum. Great food and fast service. Tip was included in the bill and i think the total amount is justified.
The food is mid
Cheap and good, the food is fresh and the price is affordable. It s our perfect choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Ever since I got to know Li Jiasheng, I rarely eat anywhere else. There are many older customers in their house, and it can be seen that they are all regular customers. recommend.
The worst Peking duck I ve ever had
Food is okay but service is extremely poor. If you have active young children, don t bother coming to this place. Not child friendly at all. We will not be returning.
The food is good but don t expect good service. Frustrating talking to them to place orders over the phone. They rush it and don t help.
Waited 33 minutes for a bowl of congee. Would ve given it zero stars if I could.
Great place for dimsum and dinner and takeouts...now they even serve bubble tea. Great price for delicious food! Vegetarian options: Lots of choices in the menu Parking: Parking lot is small in small plaza...recommend car pool to go there. Free parking Kid-friendliness: Family friendly restaurant Wheelchair accessibility: On main surface entrance. Access for wheelchair is good.
We came there it was prolly half an hour before closing. We maybe the last customers but still we had a good service that night
Fair deal. Average family Chinese diner.
Their set dinner had a lot of varies to select from and at absolutely reasonable priced with great food quality. Make sure to make reservations a few days ahead for dine in during weekends and avoid their rush hours by placing takeout orders prior to 7 p.m. Aside from food, they provided courteous service. The only drawback could only be their limited parking spots but takeout would always solve that.
Take your time to enjoy the food and company. The environment will feel busy and rushed but the quality of food is there.
This restaurant is just above average compared to all other Chinese restaurants we have been to. Food taste good and the portion is big. Overall ambiance is nice and relatively clean. If you are on an average budget, youll find this restaurant fits the bill. Parking: This restaurant is in a convenient location with plenty free parking spaces.
Food taste good, affordable price, so prepare for a line up!
This is my favorite dim sum place in Markham! Theyre fast at serving food theyre friendly and understand English well so its easy to order different kinds of food items for 1st timers
The prices for morning tea and snacks are average and the food quality is decent. You can give it a try.
Good service, good quality food, affordable price
It s cheap. I recommend the fried glutinous rice. The other snacks are not amazing. The salted egg and bitter melon are too oily and the fried bean dip is not exquisite enough. Compared with Xuanxuan
It is a good place to eat authentic Chinese food. However the place is really busy and you really should make a reservations especially for dinner and weekend dim sum. Parking: Usually OK to find parking however if you go during peak dinner hours it may be a bit difficult to find a spot.
Good value for money and delicious, but the environment is not that good
The food here is tasty! I came for a day trip from the U.S. and had dinner here. Based on U.S. standards, the Chinese food here was really good, but I cant say how it compares to the food/restaurants around the area. I like how they made the food light and not heavy. The service is expected for a Chinese restaurant haha, but our server went beyond her duty to make sure our dinner was excellent - unfortunately, I did not get her name. The parking in this plaza can get difficult during the weekends. Parking: Parking lot has enough parking spaces during the week, but it is packed during weekends.
Food and service are above average, been very consistent over the last two years. Parking always been difficult in this location but most Chinese plaza have the same problem. More special prices are added.
Tipping is mandatory, but service is mandatory. When ordering a sliced duck meal, just cut off the skin. ( )Business is booming!
Good lunch
Dim sum is ok. Ordered a fried noodle with beef and fried rice for take out. Both tasted so plain.
Good value for spend portions are large for noodles and when it s only now a few dollars more than FMP food court, it s a no brainer. Got takeaway so there s a cash discount and they were able to make it quickly considering it s Fathers Day weekend
Quality of Food is fairly good. Portion is decent and the pricing is not overly priced. Service can be better but they are very busy at the time when we were there. Would recommend to reserve a table before heading in to avoid long wait times.
Food is always good and so as service.
Very pleasent dinning experience. Delicious food and friendly service! One of my favorite restaurants in Toronto. Wheelchair accessibility: No stair, one floor.
The food quality is good and the meal is served quickly. The waiter is very polite. Thank you.
Fantastic quality and great value for money. The place is not very Fancy, as the name implies, but the dim sum is great and not expensive. This is a VERY busy plaza, so try to go early or avoid peak times
Seems to be a new thing: They charge $10 for bringing your own cake and eating at the restaurant. Else, food and service is ok. Floor underneath table has leftover food from previous patrons.
Good food and reasonable price.
The food is amazing, this restaurant is big, spacious and clean. The staff is simply amazing, very friendly, professional and excellent customer service. Going way and beyond, to make sure customers are happy and satisfied. I would highly recommend this place, plus its always busy every time I visit.
great price, good taste variety Dim sum & delicious dishes
Price is good as we enjoy the setting, food quality, and service, which are above average.
The menu has a great combination of choices and its a reasonable price. The food is delicious and it doesnt have a lot of MSG.
food is good at reasonable price
Like the food, and the Cantonese songs
Food was fantastic. Came here for dinner with some friends. The portions are huge and tasted great. Wasn t too oily and the prices was good compared to other restaurants of this calibre. Had Peking duck and sweet and sour pork. Sweet and sour pork was crispy which meant it was recently fried. Wasn t too sweet which was greats
Food taste is a little better than food court .
Nothing fancy, just good quality Cantonese meals with reasonable prices.
good price for the neighborhood, come many times, no complain at all, will recommend for others.
The dim sum is average, be careful with the specials, salt and pepper pork belly. Be careful, the meat is like tofu, not like fish. . I won t take any other shots, it s all the same.
Level
We ordered take out choose your own dinner for 4. Price sounds low but dish is very small portion compared to other restaurants. But quality is bad. I have never eaten so horrible takeout dinner recently, I forgot to take a picture the steam egg with lobster paste, so overcooked with all wrinkle egg, tasteless and mixed with lobster shell eggs are steam in a plastic container. Why do they use plastic container steaming under high heat for over 10 mins? sweet and sour pork were hard..obviously it is not freshly made. Overall the quality of the dishes were worse than dishes in a food court.
Went here for dinner and had a set dinner menu. The Peking duck was delicious but not cut thinly enough. The Chinese tacos was mostly veggies and not enough duck. The garlic fried rice with shrimp was the star of the show as it was just so flavourful and tasty. The food came very fast and the staff was courteous. Ambiance is typical to that of most Chinese restaurants. The standout dishes are worth coming back for.
The best food youll find anywhere in the GTA. Friendly sevice and nicely decorated restaurant.
Food was great for the price paid, very good value and tasted decent. Service was good and fast. One real negative was the parking, there are several restaurants in this Plaza and finding parking can be a real pain.
Good for Chinese tea
A good variety of dishes and the food was great.
Great food. Had Sweet and Sour Pork, Chicken Fried Rice, Pork Dumplings. Beef with Ginger and Green Onions. Beef had too much ginger. We ordered too much food for two people. Food : 5/5
Good selection, friendly and efficient staff. Food too salty. Parking lot is too small and always difficult to find parking spots, especially in the evenings, weekends and holidays.
Great Dim Sum restaurant, food is tasty, tables are good distance apart ( you can have conversations), good air circulation, clean place, price is fair and take-out price is great. Highly recommend this restaurant for Dim Sum and take-out. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options Kid-friendliness: Many kids choose
Never order take out again!
Havent been here for years. Dim sums are decent. However, i would assume there will be more choices. The price is pretty reasonable. Its easy to find parking spots during weekday morning. But i can imagine it will be super busy on the weekends. In conclusion, i will come back again.
Can be very busy at times. Some of the flooring and decor in the older hall can be improved. Food is on point and service has been thoughtful and pleasant when we went in.
It was my first time there. It was a holiday there was a line for the seat. The food and taste were amazing. Tried a lot off good dim sun and lunch special.
I had a horrible experience. We ordered deep fried shrimp wonton which usually includes a mayo dipping sauce but it didnt come out. We requested the mayo and the server rudely put her hand out and raised her voice for asking, in which we never received the mayo. The second issue is when we received the bill, the order included the 12% tip... If i had the option I wouldnt have tipped. Horrible experience Im never coming back.
They have dim sum special on weekdays, but not much to choose from unless you pay a premium price. Overall the food is good, except for some dishes came in cold and take longer than usual.
Simple no frills dim sum. All sizes (S / M / L) are $3.98 during M-F dim sum special. During last 2 weeks of Dec into first 2 weeks of Jan, holiday pricing is $4.68 for this deal. After mid-Jan, price will drop back down to $3.98. $1.95 tea charge per adult. Mandatory 12% tip and 13% tax is charged even when paying with cash. No complaints, will be back.
Great service attitude and fresh snacks!
Worst service ever. Once a Fancy restaurant has now turned into a Nasty restaurant. Read their RULES posted on along their walls. You have to sign your life away before you can eat.
I was there, its terrible
May I ask if they changed ownership,,,? I remember line ups going in and the parking lot was filled with no spaces. Place is not as busy as before and now I know why. The service is very poor. Rule after rule posted all over the walls. Fixed gratuity included on the bill despite the POOR service. Our family and friends will definitely never return. Very unfortunate.
Update: added menu and afternoon tea / meal specials Fair prices on dimsum. Sometimes wait can be too long. Dinner was decent as well Food : 4/5
True to its name Fancy .quality Cantonese cuisine with excellent service. Will come again.
Good dimsum in Markham. Decent price and their daily specials are great. 6-7 dollars for sweet and sour pork and other dishes. Beef ho fun also discounted. Would Recommend
The roast duck is good and the environment is nice Parking: convenient
Din sum test nice good service But too crowded and busy. The snacks are good! The service is good! But often busy.
We liked their Dim Sum.
Always consistent, decently priced and food is always good. Gets busy so may need a reservation.
Excellent food.
Love their salted egg lobster! Saw theyre also offering milk tea now but we were a bit skeptical. There are so many milk tea options here.
This is the spot for some nostalgic and feel good Chinese food for a Saturday or Sunday night. Great to go with friends and family and the food and portions are just awesome! Got lobster, steamed fish, chicken, shrimp, veggies, and some fried rice and it comes with Lai Tong (soup of the night) and dessert (usually it s red bean soup).
We had a Fathers Day celebration dinner for 10 ppl yesterday. They were well staffed and the restaurant was clean. Food was very tasty and filling though the Young Chow Fried Rice needed more seasoning. I like that they spaced out when they brought the dishes out because some restaurants will bring all the dishes out at the same time with hardly any room on the table. Then the food gets cold but our meal package was timely served. They tacked on a 12% gratuity to the bill which was reasonable. Call ahead to confirm time limit for seating. When its busy, its a 2 hr limit I believe. Lots of parking as its in a plaza but if its busy you may have to park far. I recommend this restaurant.
Dim sum used to be found enjoyful at Fancy Chinese Cuisine since they opened, and even you have had made reservation, the wait time grew longer and longer as expected. To our surprise, there was less wait time at all. We got seated within an hour right away! Their dim sum has still tasted the same, some dishes still maintained huge portions, however, it is hard to maintain the servers quality and level. I guess if youre not that busy and rush, you can wait...
A HK style restaurant which strikes a good balance between price, quality and quantity. They snap the same price tag to the large, the medium and the small dim sums. This is worthy for money. You will not regret.
Great dim sum price. Very limited parking
They added auto gratuity which is illegal. Avoid at all cost. 12% auto gratuity. Never coming again
Great food. Especially the Peaking Duck. Prompt service. There is not a place to change a babies diaper but still baby friendly. They actually added a diaper changing station since I wrote this review. Impressive
The dinner was bang for your bucks! The food tastes great (although some of them were a little too salty for our taste)! I cant say for dim sum (looks like other reviewers dislike their dim sum?) but you should definitely give this place a try for dinner! The more dishes you order, the more you save. Their portion was fairly generous and the vegetables were fresh and crunchy.
Fancy claims thier dim sum prices are the cheapest in town. We ordered two riceroll dishes and a shimp ball and the quality was good . The hotpot rice was ok and they could make it look better with more meat or some green. The Groper fish with green on fried rice noodles was surprisingly good in both size and taste. Be aware of the $1.95/person tea charge and 12% added tips on your bill Vegetarian options: Limited veggies dim sum Wheelchair accessibility: There are lots of space for wheelchair to move around.
Sorry but dim sum is disappointing here.
An amazing start to a wonderful dinner that ended up totally spoiled by a couple of unexpected BAD dishes! For years, FANCY has been known for its consistently good and well executed Cantonese cooking, a persistent pack house irrespective of time and day and lack of parking space !! This evening, armed with a super early reservation ..which we hope would result in more available parking spots, our party of 5 give this local favorite a long overdue re-visit. We ordered the following dishes: - Deep fried crunchy fins and bone skeleton of Dover Sole topped with stirred fry fish filet cut from the whole fish. - Sweet and Sour Pork - Stirred fry sliced beef with oyster sauce marinade and Chinese Kale ( Gai-Lan ) - Fried Silver Thread Anchovies and long beans with peppered seasoned salt batter - Peking Duck 2 ways - Traditional wrap with crispy skin and Lettuce wrap with stirred fry diced meat and mixed crunchy vegetables Our meal started off with a huge welcoming bang .the result brought about by one of the best tasting and perfectly seasoned and cooked fish dishes I have had for a while. Succulent, moist, chewy, loaded with umami and shrouded with amazing wok-hay smoky aroma, this is one hell of a stirred fry creation! The crunchy and lip smacking deep fried bones were addictively good! Sweet and Sour pork was one of the better rendition in town. Crunchy with the right amount of well balanced, tangy sweet glaze coating. Seasoning of the stirred fry beef was exactly to my liking, the degree of caramelization spot-on. The cooking and timing of the Gai-Lan preparation was impeccable. The crunchy, deep fried String Beans and Anchovies possessed the right amount of savory salty-ness and mouth tingling spiciness. Very enjoyable! Sadly, the arrival of our Piece de resistance dishes - Peking duck 2 ways, totally ruined our aforementioned pleasurable experience! Rather than thin and crispy, our carved duck skin was irregular, CHEWY and totally lacking the desired crispiness. This was made worse by the ultra-thick, Indian Chapati like wrapper they provided. Are we creating a duck skin wrap or a duck skin sandwich , we wonder?! As if this was not bad enough, they followed up by literally pouring salt onto the wound by giving us a disaster of a lettuce wrap second course. The stirred fry product was way too salty, the meat tasting stale, the result inedible! Oh well!! This totally inconsistent meal of ours is one great example of You win some You lose some !! Parking: Not sufficient spots on the weekend! Period!!
Nice place, good service, price is good even in Covid. highly recommend you book the table for dinner
This is a busy Chinese place for dim sum at very reasonable price if you pay cash. We came on Sunday morning and called in advance for reservations to skip the big lineup. All size dim sum are at $4.89 for weekend, $4.48 week day if you pay cash, that s cheapest in GTA area. Quality wise it is above the average, freshly made, hot and fresh. their deep fried dim sum are good. Service is fast as well, above average Chinese service. It s very busy, if you order take out, at least an hour in advance. Parking: Plenty of parkings in plaza
Foods are delicious, especially the beef stomach in cantonese, absolutely very good. Lau sa bao is quite good as well Chiu chau beef ball is very nice as well Beef tripe is also big portion and delicious Recommended
Good food!
Nice dim sum
Classic dim sum spot with all the Cantonese dishes. But you have to order from the menu and they come out quite slowly. The shrimp ha gows were decently sized. The dishes were all missing a bit of flavour but we were zonked from All the MsG used in the cooking. Must order is the peach baos for dessert Pro-tip: pay cash
The food in this restaurant is okay and the price is reasonable, but the service attitude of all the waitresses is terrible. It is the best in Toronto!
I had dinner at this restaurant. I have ordered 4 dishes and 3 of them are very salty, way too much salt/ sauce. And one dish is a fish fillet w vegetables, the fillet is very bad and not fresh. POOR customer service at this restaurant, all servers are extremely busy and rushing, but they automatically include the tips in the bill. I will definitely not come back again. Any other restaurants in the neighborhood could be better.
Wanted to celebrate my grandmas 100th birthday with a cake we bought. Restaurant stated it would be a $10 fee to cut the cake there. Ridiculous.
Came here on a Sunday at about 10:30 - 11am and was surprised that we got in no problem and no lineup. A great spot for some classic dim sum dishes. I love dim sum so to me it was all tasty! Loved the buns the best. They were super soft and had a decent amount of filling The siu mai were good too as they were nice and plump. Making for a very juicy bite. Like the fact that they kept the dividers up from Covid so you get a semi private dining feel Service was quick and all the dishes came out quickly and we probably got our entire order within 10-15 minutes of placing the order, which was also a plus for a Sunday They also have the early specials where all sized dishes except special sizes are $4.88 Great job overall!
Great place for dim sum, lunch and dinner. Great price for the portion and taste.
food is not bad, price is reasonable, service is pretty good too, except that a fixed 12% tip is charged on the bill , also take out service fee is 5% even though no service is provided
The dim sum wasn t as great as it was before the pandemic! Dim sum changed so much and I m guessing they changed chefs. The steamed rice rolls was so much thicker than it was in the past!!
Not only the service is terrible, they charge you 12% tip without telling you. Please check your bill before you pay!
Dim sum was decent. Ive had better. But for $5.28 per dish (no matter size) the price is inexpensive. However, this is the second restaurant that I have heard playing HK golden melodies and so I have to up my rating. Nothing better than eating dim sum and listening to , Beyond, , I.e. Excellent...
Very delicious and authentic Cantonese dim sum! Early bird special $3.98 per dish blew our mind! Supreme service too. Dim sum is great service
This is a great place to go with a big group so you can order the big dinner combos and make them worth it. Its quite noisy there, but the place isnt particularly big so service and food comes promptly. Parking in that plaza is always a pain though, especially during dinner time and I think the spots are quite close together so be mindful of who you park next to so you dont end up with scratches. Good good eat
Friend recommended this place and we went. Everything is good and enjoyed everything. 4 stars
Fried rice was bland and had too much ginger
The food is tasty with fair price. Atmosphere is good thanks to the spacious table and decoration
Great atmosphere and clean setting. Dimsum and regular menu items always taste good - ingredients taste fresh and portions for menu items are quite generous! Have visited many times, service is always better than other dimsum places I ve tried. We found something in the fried rice last time (I dont want to mention specifically because it was a mistake & never happened before) and the management took it off our bill, no hassle, no hesitation. Server came over to apologise too. Very pleased! Will keep returning for sure :) Vegetarian options: lots of options Parking: Usually but difficult to find parking, lots of soaces up front for only pick-up customers for this & other businesses. busy lot
What can I say? This place is the go to place for Dim Sum. (Parking is absolutely horrid - but improving - more on that later - please read on). I like that COVID had made this place less dense, and the tables are finally more spaced out. You can actually hear your own conversation now! That being said... they also implemented a mandatory TIP % now... which is whats also contributing to the decline in foot traffic to this great restaurant. Please note though, the portions HAVE gotten smaller... the price and mandatory tip is reflecting that. But the service is still there. If you want a quiet Dim Sum time - this is now the place to be. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time - as its STILL considered a busy enough place with decent food and service. Definitely recommend this place if youre hungry for Chinese food. Pricing is decent for the amount and quality of food. In fact... last time we went, it looked like they were doing some renos to fit in a BBT stall... Boba for the kids/ appeal to the next generation. :)
Southern suckling pork trotters, salt and pepper tofu, fresh and spicy tofu curd, all taste first-class and worth a try.
Dim sum was overall not bad but the fried dishes such as fried rice were only average joe. Its is . Their servers were nice and polite.
Food was good except the beef. You can taste it was off. In all honesty, its very good especially for the price
Budget dim sum restaurant. Good value for the price. Parking: Busy sometimes. get there after 1pm. No problem. Wheelchair accessibility: No barrier.
Decent chinese restaurant that has been around for many years. They serve dim sum at lunch, and course dinners. Good size portions to share, with reasonable prices. Parking can sometimes be difficult to find, as the parking lot is rather small at this plaza. They serve soup and red bean dessert for dinner. Credit card is accepted here.
Great food great service as always. Reasonable price and portion size is good. Highly recommended.
The quality of service has changed dramatically. Their website states the restaurant closes at 930pm. We arrived at the restaurant at 745pm and the Manager told us they close at 900pm. We asked if the kitchen was closed and would they still open a table for us. Manager welcomed us .... the money grab starts.... into our second dish, staff started vacuuming under our table and chairs. They even shut down the lights leaving only a spot light for our table. Staff slowly started disappearing and 2 of them was standing by the front door, arms crossed and pouting that their Manager took on our party. Other dishes started arriving and due to the lack of service, we started serving ourselves. LET ME EMPAHASIZE IT WAS ONLY 830PM. Why take on our party if this was the attitude we were going to receive!!!! OH YEAH THE MONEY GRAB! We decided to leave and take all our food to go, even forced to pack it up ourselves. We were very disappointed and how once a great restaurant has turned into garbage. Owner take note ... lots of new competition around you. Keep it up.
Lowest price and yummy. Love their menu. Will come back absolutely. Suggest making reservations in advance for dinner.
We got the lobster, it was great!
