Not my 1st time nor last time patronizing this place. Food has been consistently tasty even brought home. Not overly spicy nor salty and suit our taste buds. Thanks for your meal 🍽️
Called this restaurant around 4pm to order. A man answered the phone and told me to go pickup directly. After 10 minutes I was there but the door was locked, the lights were on in the restaurant. There is no bell at the door. I call 7 times but no one answered the phone anymore, and no voice message recording either. He wasted me time to drive there and efforts to make several calls. He told me the food are ready for pick up immediately but the door was locked and no one was in the restaurant to answer the phone. Not returning anymore. Its my worst experience ever!
Ordered the fried glutinous rice for take out and it was yummy! Price is great especially for the big portion, plus the order came with soup. Also the person working there was friendly :) Would definitely come back.
The food in here tastes so good and it just melts in your mouth. The people working in the shop are polite and they are really nice and respectful. My favorite food is the shrimp with egg and the crispy noodles. The noodles are soo tasty and crispy, and the shrimp with egg tastes delicious. I feel bad for the employees there though because they look so sad. I don't want to make any assumptions but I feel like the shop is gonna one day be renovated. In conclusion, I hope that you buy from this shop because it is worth the money and maybe help support them because sadly no one buys here anymore. (I'm not saying that this shop is dead but instead I mean that I hope that maybe more customers will buy from here and maybe they will one day be a popular restaurant. 🙃
The food is fine, lots of options. I like very much the service. Staff is friendly and helpful. Not much to say, just grab a fast lunch you won’t be disappointed.
Ordered 3 dishes combo（三和菜）for dinner today，i was very disappointed ，that's the worst dinner i've ever had!!Diced chicken in kung pao style with lots of green pepper and fried peanut(not crispy) but few chicken,and totally tasteless……the shrimp w/salted egg yolk,i can't taste any egg yolk at all! Beef&mushroom w/green onion is JUST OK!
Cantonese | Combos | Student Specials | Generous Portions| Affordable At the corner of the Kennedy/ Bur Oak plaza with lots of Cantonese dishes to choose from. Their portions are great, lots of rice. During weekdays lunch hours it gets quite busy with students, take out orders and construction/renovation workers coming for some big bites. Their dishes are affordable but not the greatest in quality. Student combos are around $6.50 which includes a meal and a drink. For that combo though they do specify that students need to pay first prior to their meal for dine in. Their daily soup has lots of MSG I feel and their milk tea isn't amazing. When I tried their chicken steak I also felt that there were meat tenderizer used. But if you're looking to just get really full off some quick and hearty Chinese food, this isn't a bad place to go.

Went here today best Chinese food and service I had in soe time
There are no photos, so you can experience it by yourself. Not to mention the black pepper chicken chop rice, the black pepper pork chop rice, and the frozen lemon tea are served after the meal is finished. It is mandatory to tip. It is understandable that one person is too busy. However, there is no service process or logic at all. The tea is not even served yet, and the order is taken care of. The whole process is cold-faced. The customer should not ask if he can share a table. Is this why he has the nerve to ask for a tip?
Very rude customer service. Called to see if we can get a table and was told if we can finish food in half hour then we can go as they close at 8:30pm No thank you. We went somewhere else and it s so much better customer service. Service

I should be see the review before go to this restaurant! It s so bad! I ordered the Satay Beef Vermicelli Pot finally Except for five pieces of beef, its all vermicelli! I I would never go back anymore ! I really want to call and complain about them!
Only take out now. The price and quality of food can be improved. Competition from other restaurants and food court but if cut cost on ingredients and food quality will suffer. In the long run will lose customers and hurting the business.
Tried to charge me a mandatory tip to sit here. I even had to pick up my own food in one time use containers.

I live pretty close by, but I will never go to this place again. Bad service and dishes are not worth to it. Frankly I dont think they care about Google rating at all, they will just keep the manner as they are and not being improved, why spending your hardworking $ there then?
Ordered take out fried rice and chow mein. The chow mein had no taste at all. Fried rice was OK. The milk tea was so sweet, taste like sugar and water. Also the complementary soup, taste like MSG plus water. The food is unacceptable, so disappointed, will never go back there again.
Friendly and helpful staff. Constant cleaning of their tables/counters and disinfect between customers. Cash only.

Love this little takeout place. Have been coming to this restaurant for a few years now. Their food are, in general, tasty. Maybe a bit oily for some ppl, but its ok for me. Price is very reasonable and BIG portion. The only con is the prep time could be long 25+ mins during peak time.
Long wait time for takouts but excellent quality food and very competitively priced!
Affordable price and good taste
The taste is okay, but there is too little meat. The black pepper pork ribs are full of green peppers and chives, and there are not many ribs.
Fire belly bbq pork in any combo of rice is the top contractor lunch choice.

I ordered through Uber Eats and I was not happy with the experience. As you can see in the photo, the 3 Choices Combo is served with soup and steamed rice. When I received my order, I didn t see them, so I called. The lady who answered the phone was very rude and stated I should have pay extra for the soup and rice. Honestly, I wouldn t be so mad if they just apologize. If you re not gonna serve the combos with soup and rice, THEN DO NOT INCLUDE IN YOUR MENU! Terrible customer service and attitude.

Chicken on rice is my favorite lunch dish. The portion is big, chicken is tender.
Excellent Cantonese dishes at a great price. Service is quick and portions are quite large. Most rice and noodle dish comes with soup and HK style tea between 11am to 3pm.

Pretty good Cantonese/HK style dishes at good prices and portion sizes. Came here for a family dinner and everything came out pretty quickly and everything was delicious. Service is pretty typical of traditional Chinese restaurants, servers dont usually make small talk and are very to the point.

A restaurant I hate,
This is a very small restaurant with great food and reasonable price, we keep on coming back as they have a big varieties on their menu. Their chicken is highly recommended. Make sure you arrive or order before 6 or after 7:30 on the weekend, they are always packed.
Bad service. Impolite manner from the waitress. Sometimes they gave the bills to customers with wrong calculation. Food are quite good.

If I can give zero star, I would. Please please please don t go to this restaurant unless you want to have a good rinse of your digesting system. This place is so dirty, really dirty. Seriously. And the waiters/waitresses there are so rude... I can t think of a reason why you should go there while there are many others choices in the neighborhood.

Fairly consistent food quality. Its the usual Chinese diner type place. Afternoon tea prices from 2:30-5:30pm are a good deal. My kids and I really like it here.

Reliable and well priced HK style cafe. Staff is nice too. Lots of choices and varieties of dishes. I dont know how they can keep up with so many dishes - If you can read chinese (traditional) then you can see other features and menu items on the wall. Felt like salt and fat level ok but if you want you can ask for them to reduce it. You can also order their combos where you can choose 2,3,4 dishes (wor choi). They come with rice as well - to eat in or take out.
A busy place and the food is good with a reasonable price.
The cashier was rude to us when we went up to pay so we would never come back here again. Food is just medicore and not the best quality. They demanded minimum 10% tips even though we have rounded up the tip and was willing to tip them. They asked for more tips and was rude about it. The bill was hand written without any clear break down of the bill (no tax rate charge, items that we were ordered). The bill only has chinese writing and total amount of $23.15. We gave them $100 bill and told them to give us change back and they said we need to give them minimum 10% tips which was rude and demanding. Tipping should be optional not mandatory and demanded. I told them this is not right and the way they did the bill looked like they will cheat on their taxes by not reporting all of their sales as they just use a manual calculator and had write the total amout on bill only (not legit & professional bill). CRA will be called to report their attempt to do tax evasion/fraud. Many chinese restaurants try to cheat reporting their taxes this way using unclear invoice/bills, asking for cash only & demand certain amount of tips even though service is garbage/sucks!

Service was terrible. The satay beef noodle was ok, but not amazing. A few people waiting for takeout were shooed out to wait at the door when all the seats were empty.

My favourite place for dinner - Steam fish, chicken and a plate of vegetable. It is a typical Cha Chan Ting. Nothing spectacular but it taste good for a good price.
This place has good food, prices are reasonable depending on what you get. A certain lady who works there is very nice and sweet, the rest sometimes will ignore you if you are not Chinese. Love their fries, spring rolls and chicken. Menus are slightly dirty and sticky. It takes getting used to, but my friend and I continue to go there and enjoy the food.

Terrible service. Rude to customers, treats people like they are nobody. Would not recommend this place to anyone who wants to be treated with respect. I believe they served us leftover soups from weeks ago. My soup was sour and it seemed to have been mixed with tomato soup from one week and papaya soup from another week and a third soup with black fungus in it. Although I had a bad experience, some of their food is alright for a cheap dinner.

Came here for lunch on a weekday and it took a long time for my curry beef rice. My curry beef came after my Dad finish his lunch. Curry taste sweet and I will not come back.

Friendly and convenient. Cost efficient too! There are surprises and ups and downs in the ingredients. The people on the floor are dedicated to serving guests and also come in to help! Hong Kong style back then. It is difficult for Hong Kong style to survive nowadays! There is still room for maintenance and improvement in cooking skills!

Typical Hong Kong Style restaurant. Big dishes for reasonable price, but dont expect too much. HK style Milk Tea is good though. Hai Nan Chicken rice is good too, but not always available

Its mediocre, the food quality is actually good, but the service attitude has never been bad. There are five waiters and four middle school students. When I want to place an order, even if I call Zuo Hao, no one will listen. When I placed my order, the six of us called Zuo Wuhe Cai. He said there was something wrong, so I asked the four of them to stop and think about it again. He turned his face black and said nothing. Then I told the second waiter that I wanted to add another rice dish, but two of them didnt have chopsticks. He said I know, I know before he finished speaking. As a result, he didnt have a meal and only a pair of chopsticks. It doesnt matter. Paying the bill first is the most correct. A waiter asked me what the dish was called Zuo Liuhe. My father mistakenly said Zuo Liuhe, and I corrected it to be Wuhe dish with six rice. Qu asked Li, and asked me first how many dishes and rice dishes there were. After that, He Zhong continued to talk and continued to blame my father for making mistakes. One dinner was a real eye-opener for me.
