38 Buttonfield Rd, Markham, ON L3R 9G9, Canada
Easygoing hangout offering classic Chinese dishes, plus homestyle fare like bacon & egg sandwiches.
It's a decent Cantonese restaurant. Good tasting food, nice staffs, good value. It's my first time going there, even though I lived nearby. There were a few times I went there, I just gave up due to the long line-up. I will definitely go there again.
We ordered one of the combos. It was very tasty and good value. It was a little heavy handed with the MSG , but will return. Offered free house soup and desert.
A Casual family dinner to reconfirm quality standard and value. Man! One look at our bill and I was totally speechless!! Average cost per person for tonight's 5 course dinner at this Hong Kong stirred fry specialist, which included complimentary soup-of-the day and dessert, cost just $17, inclusive of tax and tips!! That is $3 less than the price I paid for my ho-hum ' Big Arc Combo of Hamburger, fries and a soft drink at McDonalds!! '........and the former was way, way more delicious and enjoyable! Our near flawlessly prepared meal consisted of the following: - Free range chicken with scallion & onion sizzling oil soy sauce - Stirred fried sliced beef with Chinese Kale ( Gai Lan ) - Sweet and Sour Pork - Stirred fry lotus roots, cured salted pork with brown bean curd - Wok Seared tangy & sweet Filet Mignon slices, Chinese style. Great tasting food at such a freakingly cheap price point! Absolutely unbelievable and amazing!!
Great value and decent quality food! Small size but quite busy spot! The service was good just a little bit slow. The daily soup for lunch special was nice and warm! Highly recommended for a quick lunch!
First time to here. Come for breakfast. For $11.59 + tax all day combo with satay beef udon, two eggs and toast and a hot drink. Pretty decent deal. One star deducted for the toast. I don’t think the bread is fresh at all, or the texture taste bad after toast. I arrived around 9:40am and parking is almost full already but restaurant was not packed when I arrived. So during busy hour, I guess it will be a bit tough to find parking. Overall, good breakfast. Will come back again if I am around the area. Updated (Dec 10): Was looking for light and quick breakfast. This has not been disappointed. 7.99 plus tax is definitely a great deal. We ordered beef/egg sandwiches and a pork chop bun. Both are delicious
Hidden gem - IYKYK! Prices = pre-pandemic! Food = flavourful and good portions Service = very fast and efficient The only knock is it’s very small so you will have to wait but that’s what makes this a hidden gem hole-in-the-wall in a strip plaza on a side street bring you back to the old days of Chinese restaurants in Scarborough.
Thought we were coming to a HK Cafe, but didn't realize that after 5:30 it turns into more of a proper Chinese restaurant. But overall the food was pretty good! Service was great too - during dinner they provide complimentary soup as well as red bean for dessert. Staff here were very attentive and nice. The only thing I don't love is the atmosphere feels a bit cramped since it's a smaller restaurant, so may be better to order takeout (seemed very popular for takeout).
Our go-to Chinese takeout place that we occasionally dine in. Instant noodle breakfast options are always good. I got the fish and tofu which are large portions. Beef and egg with fried vermicelli is a fan favourite. Baked rice is a standard. Location mostly has small tables and is quite small though turnover is quite quick. Service is pretty standard for an HK cafe.
Its a busy, quick eat kind of place. Good food and decent prices. Been coming here for a long time and its been consistent. The wait staff are nice but sometimes theyre really busy and cant tend to everything quickly. Overall Id recommend this place but be ready to wait during busy lunch and dinner times. Update (Jan 2021) : still very speedy service and polite staff. Food was good and prices decent. Update (Feb 2022): food quality has stayed consistent. Still quick and service was good. Prices have increased but thats to be expected with inflation. Attached is the menu obtained during this visit. Update (June 2022): Had a dine in experience and it was really good. Food was good, quick and I think spending over a certain amount.($25+) they give you a free sweet and sour pork, which was very tasty. They also give you free soup and dessert soup. Good value! Update (July 2023): Had dinner here and the quality has stayed consistent. Now the promotion is Mon to Thurs at dinner spend $38 before taxes get a free sweet and sour pork or spend $68 get a half chicken. Also Mon to Fri between 2-5pm, spend $18 pre-tax get a choice of egg sandwich, pineapple bun or French toast. Update (Sept 2023): Came here on a Thursday evening for dinner, must commend the wait staff, theyre extremely quick and with great memory for detail. Appreciate that and the consistent food quality. Lots of people by 6pm, with a small wait so either go earlier or make a reservation. Dec 2024 update: theyre still letting you get a free dish from Monday to Thursday. Its sweet and sour pork after $40 purchase and half a chicken after $70 purchase. Friendly, efficient staff. Free soup and dessert a bonus. Family friendly!
Price is the cheapest in the surrounding area. Food and service are very good and always consistent. Never disappoint me.
Ive been here multiple times for breakfast, aftermoon tea and dinner, and I would definitely recommend it. They have all the classics. Make sure you get there early, though, because theres usually a wait.
Good food, good service with good pricing!
Food was good, but not great. Service was excellent
Some of the best traditional cantonese dishes, including hot pot ones...fast service, authentic flavour; opinion from chinese guy...hidden gem; i will be a repeat customer.
Traditional HK style breakfast place was great. Fast service. Felt like I was eating in HK. Breakfast combo was worth it, bowl of noodles with egg and toast on the side and tea/coffee Will be back if in the mood again
It s not the same restaurant as before in pandemic - ordered lobster meal combo where lobster was so salty , seafood veggie has no taste , fried pork chop was dark brown with oil that recycled for days - precharge 12% tips without asking - chicken is raw n just microwave when asked
Fried glutinous rice with enough ingredients Eggplant Pork Pork Pot is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside Steamed Egg with Scallops and Shrimp, Super Smooth Note: Generally, the dish head is on the thin side, but this is reflected in the price. 2024/11/14 As soon as you sit down, you will receive regular soup Although the portion is not big, the ingredients are sufficient Tofu and pork belly pot with bamboo cabbage as the base, so delicious Cured chicken pot is hot, spicy and delicious The glutinous rice is fragrant and chewy For dinner over 38, you will receive free Sweet and Sour Pork, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside Free mung bean paste when you pay the bill
Good quality food nice people
Good variety Hong Kong style food selections. Fast service and reasonable price.
all food is good
Very reasonable price, with super good food. Another visit: Their should be the best in town. Food : 5/5
A very low-cost and delicious restaurant. The taste is similar to that of Hong Kong. It may be better than the Hong Kong taste of IKEA. The price is affordable and it also comes with kelp and mung bean paste and sugar water. It is very low-cost. Come on, keep it down, I ll eat again
Price ok, food ok, I just slightly allergic to their food. I go with the flow
Nice chinese food with good price
Very authentic HK cafe food/drinks, portions are good as well
Very tasty dishes, and busy as with orders over $38 we got a free dish of sweet and sour pork, plus free soup of the day and free red bean tong soi dessert.
The prices of the food here reminds me of pre-pandemic before everybody went inflation happy. You get lots of food for the price, often it includes a cup of coffee or milk tea, etc. Great value. The taste of the food is just like other places. We ordered fried Ho Fun noodles, but unfortunately a lot of the noodles were broken and not long. They had trouble doing it properly, but it seems like it is a running theme in many restaurants now. Be prepared to wait for seating, seems like most customers here eat quickly and then leave. Not really a place to sit and go slow.
Affordable price, taste of home Zhongsong Soup Sweet and Sour Pork
Good HK style food in a family friendly environment. Well priced place that is always bustling. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility friendly
A fast paced restaurant with good service
The price is reasonable, the taste is good, and the waiters are very nice
Crowded place. But understand why after getting the bill. This was the second time we went to this restaurant and it was the second time it was busy. The staff is efficient at getting you a seat. But expect to wait for a bit. The food is outstanding. The taste reminds me of the food at the HK cha chaan tengs (tea houses). The flavour seems to be authentic as those restaurants in Hong Kong. I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered three dishes. Bitter Melon and beef with fried noodles, baked seafood on rice with tomato sauce, and satay beef in udon noodle soup. The meal come with a drink each. So we ordered three gong Kong teas. There is no cash discount. But for the price of each dish, you really don t need the discount. Will definitely come back. The food is a good value for a trip back nostalgic lane.
No washroom available to use at all, restaurant was too busy I have to self service my family, they forgot our drinks plus computer was down when we ask for the bill. Crazy day for us as first timer.
Food was ok, at least for what we ordered. We both ordered usual noodle breakfast that we order at everything HK diner. The Satay Beef Noodle tasted a bit off, not much satay flavour The other noodle dish also tasted a bit off, The price was very reasonable, the was fast, and good enough. Don t min coming back to try other dishes. 4 stars for now, mostly because the the price. Parking: Lots of parking
The soup is delicious, the set meal is served very quickly, the taste is reasonable and the price is reasonable. Can make a reservation at the power station. Bonus points
Too long waiting. Food is not good
Chinese restaurant with decent food and affordable prices. Not the tastiest but great value for the portions
The service is very good, the food is cheap and delicious, and its a great value. Compared with some so-called high-end Chinese restaurants, the dishes here are even better. The price-performance ratio is high, great! Mi Zouji.
The stir-fry is good and the price is reasonable!
Foods taste very good reasonably price. A very traditional tea house
Reasonably price, filling and busy. Staffs tries their best to get the order out asap.
come here for lunch, so crowded, food was good, service was fast, but it was noise, and wait time is long
Ive been eating at this restaurant for several years. It really pissed me off today. When checking out, the waiter told me that the tip was included. I didnt realize it at the time, so he handed me the POS machine that calculated the tip and swiped my card. I even talked to the waiter carefully at that time. I said I would pay a tip. If you force me to pay, can you change it? Ive been to their house so many times, which time have I never tipped? I asked her if this could be changed, but the waiter insisted that I change it. I said that I really felt that my diaphragm should be panicked. They remember that the service of this company has always been good, so why did this happen? Regardless of whether the service is good or not, I will give it to you. I asked her if she could talk to the manager or boss. I just asked the manager (boss), who came up and stuffed two $1 coins into my hand, and said okay, take it. My tip was over $6, so I was given $2 as a tip. Is this about money? I really couldnt bear it, so I took it and threw it to the ground. I was really angry when I first walked out, but I turned back to this person and asked for the entire tip of over $6. Really, after eating in the same restaurant for so long, I was really pissed off today.
Delicious food, fresh and the free soup really topped it off, highly recommend
Didnt wait, so packed and have to wait for table all the time. Super popular in this area...
Reasonable price, good food!
good portion! the steamed chicken is a must try
The word ping determines whether it tastes good or not.
Kids love their food and price is very reasonable
Awesome and casual place particularly good for chinese meal. Everything is reasonable priced. Highly recommended!
Found an alive cockroach crawling on my plate and it totally grossed me out. The servers just threw out the dish and cancelled my order without apologizing. Guess they are used to seeing that?
The best Portuguese Chicken rice in the whole world!
Best HK cafe in town
Its an inconspicuous little Cantonese restaurant, but the food tastes really good and is reasonably priced. The sweet and sour pork is delicious and sour; the deep-fried pork ribs are tender and delicious; the imperial concubine chicken must be eaten with side ingredients, it is very tender; the lobster in the typhoon shelter is also good, recommended; the dry-fried beef river is very smoky , it s really good; the desserts are particularly good, and we even packed a portion for only 3 yuan; the service is also very good, especially the serving speed is so fast, it is said that four chefs are doing it at the same time!
Delicious
Price: Reasonable and affordable Ingredients: Quickly frozen ingredients are generally used, and the meat quality is OK Portion size: It s moderate, but I find that some stir-fries use a slightly smaller amount. Small plates served Wok Hei: Some of the fire hoses are not in place and the aroma is not good enough. Condiments: Not enough garlic, salt and pepper Overall: But not bad As soon as the table was seated, the regular soup was served (it s worth mentioning that it s hot soup) *raw fried glutinous rice*-portion size good *Salt and Pepper Pork Chops*-The amount of fire and salt and pepper is slightly lacking *Fish-flavored eggplant and prawn balls stew*-The prawn balls are really worth a try *Chao San Fried Oyster Cake* - Disappointed, not oysters, just oysters Change the knife and cut it finely There s also a free serving of sweet and sour pork tonight. After the meal, desserts were also served. Will you patronize again? Continue!
Neither the noodle soup nor the rice dish for lunch comes with any vegetables. The rice for the rice dish is old rice and has a bit of a stale taste, but you can t taste it if you don t eat it carefully. The taste is average. To be honest, the price is good and the portion is sufficient.
The baked ox tongue with macaroni and tomato sauce is superb in the way that the ox tongue is soft, that the macaroni is al dente, and that tomato sauce strikes a good balance between sour and sweet tastes. What impressed me most is their attendants attitude. It is cold and snowy today. The attendants are so considerate that they would advise against their customers for certain tables to avoid wind chilling. This kind of attitude is rare, precious and badly needed nowadays.
Club sandwich doesnt have cheese. Food is otherwise great. Cash or debit only.
Great HK cafe! One of their best dishes is the (Cantonese Stir fry Beef Hor Fun) because of the wok hay and at a very affordable price. Most items on the menu come with a drink included (or small charge for cold drink). There is always a wait during lunch time, but the food is definitely worth the wait!
Great food, good value. We came for dinner with a newborn, the waitress is welcoming and found us a corner seat for the baby. Very authentic food and tasty. My parents love this place. We spent $60 plus tips for 4 dishes, great value.
The service is good, the lady is very enthusiastic, the food is a big dish, and she will give you sugar water during dinner.
Lots of people lived in Markham highly recommend . I think they are right .Traditional HongKong style cafe.Good food and good milk tea.But very busy at lunch time.
Good food, quick service, good prices. Casual fare :)
Staff is very friendly and go up and beyond. Food is really tasty. Highly recommend their spicy lobster dish.
Pleasant atmosphere, quick service, good food, reasonable prices. Convenient located. Cant expect more. Give it a try !
The food is better than expected. Its indeed excellent. We ordered a set dinner, which is reasonably priced, and the portion is large enough, such that we had to take home some left over. The place is a bit small though, but it didnt take long for us to get our table.
Cheap, fast, efficient place to have take out food :)
Super rubbish, unpalatable, the fried rice tastes greasy, the Zhuhou Beef Brisket Rice, the beef brisket is like snot, not a whole piece but just broken snot, should be a negative five stars
Best Tea Restaurant in GTA Food
Ordered their six dishes shareable dinner set ( ), including lobster, veggie, fishes, deserts and soup etc. Moderately good for Chinese cuisine. No surprise but no disappointment. Very comprehensive dinner set as it comes with soup and deserts. Also, the price is very reasonable given that there are lobster and fishes. Free parking available. Good for family dinner or gathering with a big group of friends. Might need to wait if it is dinner time, but won t be too long.
Authentic Cantonese Foods with Good Prices
Food is good, a bit on the oily side. It s always busy and the parking is chaotic so try to come early.
I usually go to the store a few times a week on average. Generally, the food quality is average and the products are satisfactory for those who dine in the store! But last time I had a meal, I saw that the waiter was only greeting regular customers. There were not many customers in the restaurant near the evening market, and the waiter kept asking other customers to leave! Its very rude and the restaurant doesnt have the most basic service attitude. I havent been to the restaurant for several months!
Great HK cafe. Prices are extremely affordable and the quality of food is a hit. I would highly recommend the drinks at this cafe, it s a cut above the rest out there.
So far so good
Busy even on a weekday lunch time. Food is very HK style cafe. Price is good.
The price is affordable and the portion is large, but it is a healthy and light choice and should be free of MSG. Milk tea is also average.
Really good food
JAN 2024 EDIT: Still a solid Hong Kong cafe on the area and theyve kept prices affordable over the years. You can get a great value meal here with decent prices, good flavours and portion sizes. Theres something about the taste here that feels nostalgic to me. ~~~~~ Always a solid Cantonese food option in the area. Food is made fresh, decent portion sizes, good flavours. They have some good set menu deals too.
- This time, 5 people ordered a meal for 6 people, and the portions were huge. We were so full that we packed 2/3 boxes to take away. Its set menu includes seafood, barbecued meats and vegetables, which basically satisfy all your cravings for stir-fried dishes, and they are all so good! ! All the juices are cooked until they are juicy and flavourful, and they have the aroma of stir-frying(?) It s just right! It has the same flavor as a restaurant and a food stall And each meal has soup and sugar water, so delicious! In addition, I would like to mention that the frozen lemon tea is delicious! You can order a meal for 4 people or a small stir-fry for 4 people, both of which are delicious! Lobster six-course set meal ($99.99) Lobster Combo for 6 Live Lobster Ginger and green onion/Maggi/salt and pepper/typhoon shelter+$5 Ginger & Scallion/Maggi Sauce/Salted & Pepper/Hong Kong Style Spicy +$5 Yao Zhu Royal Concubine Chicken (half) Concubine Chicken with Dried Scallops Steamed swimming fish Steamed Tilapia with Ginger & Scallion Kyoto Baked Pork Chops Peking Style Pork Chops Golden millet stone slices or pandan tofu Garoupa Fillet with sweet corn sauce or Pomfret Belly with Tofu Vegetable sprouts soaked in fish soup with wolfberries or braised vegetable sprouts with double mushrooms Vegetable in Fish Soup with Wolfberry or Braised Mushrooms and Vegetables This time, five of us ordered a meal for six, and the portion sizes were incredibly generous we ended up taking 2/3 of it home in boxes. The set meal included a comprehensive selection of seafood, barbecued meats, and vegetables, aiming to fulfill every desire for Chinese stir-fry, and everything was outstanding!! The sauces were richly flavoured, and the dishes had that authentic stir-fry wok hei (breath of the wok) . It was like the flavors in fancy dishes restaurants and street stalls . The meal also came with a soup and a sweet dessert soup, both delicious! Plus, their iced lemon tea was very refreshing. If youre worried about not finishing, you could go for the four-person meal or order stir-fry dishes individually, which are also great value for money!
Food is very good. Prices are reasonable compared to other Hong Kong style restaurants and portions are big. Iced lemon tea is recommended and iced milk tea are popular. I suggest the baked chicken or pork rice/pasta dishes as well as the fried noodles/rice dishes. We usually come during afternoon tea as lunch time is busy. We have been going to Hai Tang for over 10+years.
Me and my family comes here at least once a week. Very affordable pricing with good quality of food. They are a little older with their Reno but they have been around for 20+ years, it is reasonable and every staff here are friendly, they remember most of their customers and greet them the way they want. Love this place
good Chinese food and good price; The taste is good and the price is relatively cheap.
Food is good and the portion is fairly big. A small restaurant that gives me some kind of Hong Kong feeling even though the waitresses are all mainland Chinese people.
People are friendly. The food was great.
I have ordered from this restaurant for so many times...their food is descent and price is not bad. But yesterday my order of sweet source beef ribs is just unacceptable. The proportion is significantly way less than it used to be. I ordered it last week and it is totally different. Very disappointed.
This is an Asian restaurant that focuses on being fast and efficient. Id come here again.
Wonderfully practical and reasonable place!
There s plastic in the vegetables
The taste is good, the ingredients are fresh, there are many choices, the food is served quickly, there is delicious soup before the meal and sugar water after the meal, the service is first-class and the price is fair. Excellent place for Hong Kong food and small group gatherings! Freshly prepared and nicely cooked! Great taste and wonderful service! Don t miss the soup and dessert! Just a little crowded but sure atmosphere is good!
One or two okay dishes but most were not very impressive and some dissapointing.
There is no oil in the soup. Different styles every day
The food is of high quality and delivered quickly.
Have eaten here many times. Not expensive but above Hong Kong standards. XO sauce tamagoyaki, tofu and shrimp are called every time. Others are Dan.
If you want reasonably priced, decent hong kong cafe style food, this is it. You can get all your fried rice, rice noodles, noodle soups and of course, bake casserole dishes here. The service is always friendly here and usually quite quick. Id recommend this place in a heartbeat, especially if you have a craving for hong kong food.
Fast and tasty. Good hygiene.
So much value eating a bit before closing. My girlfriend and I got 2 dishes and ordered some rice. It came with a soup and taro sago for dessert. We only ordered a mapo tofu and shredded pork eggplant hot bowl. Look, Im CBC, but I swear they put some magic sauce in that - I ascended to the next dimensional plane because of that meal. God forbid we order 3 dishes lest we transcend beyond the mortal realm. Prices were also bang on, had extra remaining to pack
Taste is good, decent size but macaroni is too soft. My favourite is
Cheap Hong Kong style cafe! Love it! Seafood combos for dinner.
Very good food with reasonable pricing! Free soup and dessert with dinner. I want to support more local business like this and has been returning customer for years!
Came here on a weekday at 11 am for lunch. The place was extremely busy, we waited for around 10 mins to be seated. The price is very good! Their menu offers a wide variety of HK dishes. We ordered a Deep Fried Pork Loin with Salt & Pepper and Stir Fried Rice Noodles with Beef & Satay Sauce Parking: Difficult to find parking during busy hours.
It is a mixed experience at this restaurant. While the food was fine, I noticed that the portion sizes have become smaller compared to before the pandemic. However, what really disappointed me was the attitude of the cashier. Despite already paying the bill with a tip, she insisted on additional after-tax tips and even prevented us from leaving. Tipping should be voluntary, and its concerning that she didnt respect that. I hope the restaurant management addresses these issues and pays enough for her job to improve the overall experience for their customers.
Very traditional canton style food. The waitress are nice with fast serving of food. Worthy to go
Excellent food & service. Very Hong Kong style eating there.
No bad, lots of customers are always queen up for a seat. Parking: 30 Food : 4/5 |
This place is always busy due to the affordable price, but the food is okay. I waited for 20 minutes to get a table. The service was basically, rush, rush and more rush. We got the bill before we have all the dishes, but it was quite cheap for $10 per person with tax and tips. If you are on a rush, I don t recommend coming here at all. However, if you want decent food with affordable price, this is the place to go. Updated: The breakfast combo are all smaller than since I was here last time. I guess that it is due to the increased food cost, otherwise, the food is good.
Low price, but absolutely no space the waiting time is ridiculous. UPDATE: during covid-19 the female owner is so friendly and is able to provide a speedy service for takeout. I would recommend coming here for takeout as they also have lots of hand sanitizers inside when you pick up your food. Parking: The parking is limited to the plaza and the plaza is not that big. However, I have seen some people park on the street beside the plaza.
Great spot for traditional Chinese food! Super friendly staff and quick service
Decent food at reasonable prices.
HK fast food that wont break the bank.
Good flavor and low prices. Very busy. Very crowded. Very noisy. Takeout will be a more pleasant experience. Food
The food is good, the price is amazing. I have no complaints about anything at this place
A certain top 3 out of all the restaurants i ve been to. Everything i tried was prepared fresh and hot. Staff feels like family. Been eating here for the last 8 years and hopefully another 10 years. 10/10 Love it here. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian stir fry and others Parking: There s parking right outside the entrance of the restaurant Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramps
This is my first time trying this restaurant, and Im certain it will be my last as well. We arrived around 5 PM on a weekday, and it wasnt busy at all. We ordered a dinner set for four, which cost only $58.97 and included five dishes, soup, and dessert at the end. The quality of the food is acceptable considering what you get for the price you pay. However, the main issue I observed was with the service. Essentially, there was no service beyond dropping the dishes on your table. Even if you generously tip, the waiter may still ask for more, regardless of how poor their service is and how rudely they treat customers. If you want to have your day ruined, then by all means, go ahead. Otherwise, I strongly suggest avoiding this place. It is not worth saving a few bucks in exchange for disappointment and anger.
Food price was good but food was a bit salty. Service was good. Place was clean but a little bit too cold with the air conditioning Food : 4/5
Food was okay but value for the food was good. Gui Lin style vermicelli was good (forgot to take a photo). The pork (like sweet and sour type in the photo) was also nice and tender. I would not recommend the short ribs. It was so hard to chew! There were alot to choose from and we didnt know what to order. I would come back again to try other dishes.
This is my go-to place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their pricing is better than most when compared to others serving similar types of food. Food is tasty. I have enjoyed eating here for the past 5 years.
Racist restaurant
Local fav spot. Known for their lunch specials
I come here often because of the food, variety and the usual fast service. If you come during rush meal hours there will definitely be a line outside. The milk tea here is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. Parking is fine and there are accessible entrances and curbs.
Good value for price
A typical Hong Kong Style restaurant. Food quality was acceptable based on the price. Service was okay. The waiting area was too small.
Focus on a large quantity and affordable price I ordered the special fish-flavored eggplant in pot (salty), sour pork, and western toast
Great value for money, delicious food and cheap Parking: very good
See the online review Mama I passed by today and bought Xingzhou fried rice. The price and quality are reasonable The dine-in restaurant was full and the product was OK based on my visual inspection That bitter gourd and beef fried rice noodles, a lot of people are shouting about it, I want to try it next time The sister who wears glasses Very quick at doing things and good at remembering Come on
Good and cheap chinese food.
Economical, delicious and good service!
Hai Tang is definitely your neighborhood restaurant where you will get your all Hong Kong style meals at a very decent price. We came and ordered the $58 lobster meal that also came with half a chicken, sweet and sour pork, and veggies with beef. It also came with soup and dessert. I mean that s great value anywhere these days. We ve been here many times for their HK style breakfast and afternoon and those are great as well.
Updated Nov 2023: The portion is much smaller now, taste isn t as good as before, looks like they have another chef now. Food
Friendly service The waiters are very nice Lunch is a big portion and tastes good, not too heavy on MSG Delicious frozen lemon tea will continue to support
Authentic Hong Kong style tea restaurant Good night stir-fry
Milk tea was pretty good. Came hot, but lacking in the golden after taste you get with high quality milk tea. was pretty decent though I found the soup base to be on the sweeter side.
Typical Chinese restaurant at reasonable prices. Food are ok. Normally busy with quite a crowd.
I like it so much. Good service, fast food, good taste, free drinks, good value for money.
Hongkong traditional style restaurant n u will have a lot free parking available. Staff are nice n reasonable price. Check it our
Service is fast, food is good and good price
Authentic Chinese food they serve. I personally prefer less salty. The price and service are reasonable. The atmosphere and seating can be more competitive with other restaurants if they simply update the interior design and decorations.
We went to have dinner with Lao Yu and his wife, four of us, and ordered three dishes: chicken with onion, Hakka braised pork with plum and vegetables, and stir-fried pork head with mushrooms. First, the complimentary soup was served, and my mouth was full of sweetness. It was indeed a delicious soup. Then, the stir-fried pork neck with mushrooms was full of aroma and flavor. On the table, the kale on the side is generous, crisp and sweet, and the meat melts in your mouth. The soup is of moderate concentration, and two spoons are enough to make a bowl of rice. The chicken at the end was slightly undercooked but tasted just right. While everyone was busy tasting and praising the food, the service lady served another plate of sweet and sour pork with a smile on her face. It turned out to be another complimentary dish from the store for customers who placed orders over $38. After dinner, red bean soup and dessert are given as a gift. Putting aside the delicious dishes, every service lady in this restaurant is smiling and quick, making the guests happy and enjoying the delicious food on the table. Looking at the entire Greater Toronto, we have not seen this kind of service for a long, long time. , special thanks to them for allowing us to enjoy this delicious dinner in a happy mood. Another thing worth mentioning is the price. It s hard to believe that such a large and delicious dish is priced so reasonably. It proves that the owner is sincere and makes small profits but quick turnover, and I would like to express my respect to him. As for the hard work of the chefs in the kitchen, they also deserve everyone s applause and thanks. This is my second review. On the night of 12/13, Mr. and Mrs. Lin and the four of us went here for dinner. We ordered shrimp balls and tofu, fish-flavored eggplant and pickled pork with pickled vegetables, and the extra sweet and sour pork was served on the side. Personally, I have always believed that delicacies should not be made from precious ingredients. The famous Buddha Jumps Over the Wall in Fujian uses almost all the precious ingredients. Chicken soup, fish, black ginseng, sharks fin, scallops, deer tendons, pigeon eggs, spare ribs, winter ruts, and dozens of other ingredients are cooked in one pot. I dont think so. It s not easy to eat, but if you can make some delicious dishes with only a few taels of ordinary ingredients, it s a real skill and a master of cooking. This is the feeling in my heart after eating the side dishes I ordered tonight. Only the extra sweet and sour pork was a bit too crispy and tender. In addition, for the first time, I went to eat at almost 8pm. The waitress was a little anxious to clean up, and she overheard asking the next table to clear the place. Moreover, at about 8:30, we wanted to buy a piece of dry-fried beef. We were also deeply surprised to be told that the kitchen was turned off and no longer accepting orders. The world is so big and there is so much to learn from.
The taste is okay, the environment is average, the service is not timely, there is only one person in front of the pickup, but the waiter went to wipe the table after handling it and asked me to wait. There are no other customers waiting for a table. The service is not customer first. Parking: Parking is sometimes difficult
