We have been to this newly discovered cafe restaurant twice this month. It features Macau food and not easy to find in other restaurant. We enjoyed our food very much, the hongkong milk tea is especially tasty. Highly recommend it! Give it a try if you are in the area.
The food is great, it’s steady busy (we went on a Saturday night at dinner time). Service is fast but pushy (they clearly want people in and out asap). Payment is by cash or debit only (this is stated at the front door before you walk in). Seating feels crampt, classic Hong Kong cafe feel. The washroom is exceptionally roomy; but men’s side is missing paper towel (typical for this area).
Came for breakfast and it didn't disappoint. Food is of high quality. The chicken panini is a good highlight. It can get busy but one can also call ahead to book a table
Nice interior renovations. Satay beef noodle was not bad. First time seeing onions and parsley included inside. Lots of ingredients inside so it was very filling.
Never thought about the food were amazing. We ordered the Macau chicken, its tender and full of flavor a bit smokie and spice. Good Job. and the signature BBQ pork, tastes nice with sweet and sour sauce. The soup was good too green taste fusion with bok choi.
Been to Woodstone several times over the years. It is usually busy around mealtimes, but wait times are reasonable. Service is decent and the food usually comes quickly. I find the portion sizes just right, but I'm also not a big eater. I recently ordered a black pepper chicken which is labelled spicy on the menu, but wish that it was a bit more peppery. I have enjoyed their curry udon in the past.
We enjoyed our meal at Woodstone! Menu hasn't changed too much over the years but for what they do, they do it well. Service was really great - the nice lady who waited on us told us that happy hour was ending in 5 minutes and that we should get our order in quick. We didn't end up ordering off it but we appreciated the consideration. The hainanese chicken was pretty good - I liked that they deboned it. The rice and sauces were nice too. The vermicelli noodles we had were nice and light, and the broth was nice. Next time I will try the char siu with baked cheese on rice! Debit and cash only.
Their baked black pepper chicken on rice w/ cheese, although made with fragrant sautéed black pepper resulting in a rich flavor, paired with cheese, is just average. If you're looking for a more authentic Macanese taste, I recommend trying their baked chicken in Portuguese sauce on rice w/ cheese. This dish uses homemade coconut sauce, which is delicious and worth a try. Their braised curry beef brisket on rice, while not strongly flavored with curry, is acceptable, but not recommend when compared to other dishes. Their garlic chicken lo mein is a hidden surprise! The refreshing broth combined with tender chicken meat creates a rich texture that's unforgettable. As for beverages, their hot milk tea (not recommending the iced version) and iced lemon tea both maintain the taste of Hong Kong-style drinks. Finally, the restaurant offers a spacious and comfortable environment, but due to the popularity of their signature dishes, they sell out quickly. It's advisable to arrive early to avoid missing out.
Hongkong style food
The waiter (the aunt with long brown hair in a ponytail) took the cash and didnt ask for change. She didnt ask if you wanted change and just ignored you. Even if you have to leave a tip, you should give the customer change instead of just taking it yourself. Her attitude towards guests who speak Cantonese or not is obviously different, which feels very tasteless. I also saw her picking her teeth with a toothpick next to the front desk and then continuing to work, which was very unhygienic.
The food is yucky. Spaghetti is hard! No taste for the chicken! The attitude of the staff is rude! Not come!
The food is really delicious.
Space is clean, food above average, we particularly loved the fried wings and Hainan Chicken rice. Services usually very nice and as mentioned in other reviews they can be pushy.
You could never go wrong with Woodstone s dishes.
Food tastes just fine.
Keep asking for tip
Ordered take-out as its close to my workplace. Baked spaghetti Bolognese is okay not as good as other HK-style restaurants in the area. Curry beef brisket is definitely the worst dish Ive ever had. None of the meat is edible as they are 99% unwanted fatty part not even briskets. Not sure why they got many positive reviews. Probably I ordered the wrong item but wont return for sure
Delicious Vegetarian options: They got a lot of vegetables and it so delicious Food : 5/5 |
I ordered my Passionfruit Mango soda drink and rice for take-out. When I drank it, I thought they gave me the wrong thing. I came back the next day and asked them if it the wrong thing? Their answer is correct. This passionfruit & mango soda is Noooo any passionfruit and mango inside. I said even I couldnt taste any flavor about this drink. Inside has 2 mint leaves and 3 pieces of canned Mandarin. They said just like that. And the taste is just like sweeter than 7 up bit. Especially the guy, his bad attitude, keep saying its like that. Holly!!! How can it be called passionfruit mango soda??? It charged $6.50+tax. Its so ridiculous I wont be back anymore.
We were at an indoor playground nearby and saw someone s photo of juicy tender pork on Google Maps and immediately came for that. It was Sunday noon with 3 kids and this place was lively and full of people! Luckily, a table opened up so we didn t have to wait. The food was delicious and did not disappoint. What made it even more pleasant was the staff! They re so sweet, understanding and helpful! Truly a gem Parking: Fills up pretty fast
They served HK style fast food, and the taste is very good, even better than the ones at HK.
Great food and service. Chicken Lo Mein is delicious. Their breakfast is also great. Love the satay beef noodles.
I ordered a few specialties: Tang Bohu chicken wings, braised pork rice with cheese and eggs, horseradish balls, brown sugar ginger tea stewed with milk, and Puer chicken pasta. Overall, I felt pretty good. Service is nice
Reasonable pricing and tasty breakfast with good service
We had a friend gathering here and they dont allow to split receipts. So we put each of our cash together which matched the total amount plus tax and tips. And somehow they said we need to pay extra 10% other than regular tips since they reserved so many seats for us. But we were not told about any fee about table reservation before hand. It is ridiculous and the food is not as good as advertised by other reviews. They put as many tables as possible in their place that makes anyone hard to move around. The environment in general is poor.
Horrible service and very racist towards anyone not speaking Cantonese. Decided to still tip 10% but got yelled at. Didnt have time to waste so we dropped a few dollars more Never going back again. Place also looked unhygienic. will be suggesting this place for spot inspection
They offer some specialty food items which are very popular in Macau. Highly recommended.
Its a HK cafe style place so service is minimal, but efficient. Wide selection of food, and all the dishes Ive had so far have been great.
The waitress said, You need to give me at least 5 dollars for a tip, even though I had already tipped 2 dollars, and there was no mention of any such rule anywhere. To make it worse, she took a 5-dollar bill right from my hand without asking. As regular customers, we don t mind tipping, but where are the manners? This felt more like being robbed than served.
Food temperature is not hot enough. The baked rice I had was not good. Tastes like different part of foods were cooked separately and then put together and serve. Server was not assisting with separating bills even its not busy at all.
Cannot believe this small take out box they charged me 50cents.
Food was good Very reasonably price for what you get Food
My family and I always love eating/take out at Woodstone. We always get Portuguese chicken on rice, spaghetti Bolognese and the BBQ pork with cheese on rice. My 4 and 8 year olds love it. The Portuguese chicken also has sausage and green olives in it to add to the flavours. My kids can eat this every day all day. The BBQ pork has nice thick and flavourful cuts of meat and the spaghetti Bolognese is the perfect Asian sweet spaghetti sauce flavour.
Nice place and atmosphere, comfortable. Expensive for the size of portions given. Much better similar options in this neighborhood.
I thought it was okay, better than most cha chaan teng that Ive been in the Markham area. The black pepper baked chicken was good and the black sesame hk toast. I would come back to try other stuff the next time I am in town.
Fries+BBQ Pork + Tomato Sauce is the best combination!
Solid Macao / HK styled eatery, consistent food options with great value, our go to place locally for a quick and easy lunch. Be aware of the lineup at times, so during busy prime time expect to wait 20-40 mins. Kid-friendliness: Good kid-friendly options, easy rice / noodle / breakfast items
Bad service!!! We went there after 8pm and they kept telling us they closed at 9pm. One of the waitress even questioned us if we will be able to finish our meal on time . This restaurant is super small and their seats are not comfortable either. Food is ok but service not good.
Good food and good service!
Love the food
Love to go there for lunch. Their Hai Nan chicken with rice has further improved, chicken thigh size is bigger and tastes good. Curry beef on soup noodles is one of our favorites. on spaghetti is also delicious.
4 times here and I can proudly recommend friends or people if someone asks if they want something like Hong Kong but a bit mixed with Western style foods. Woodstone is very clean, nice, friendly staff and delicious foods. Must try
great food!
We came to this tea restaurant while traveling. The food tasted very good and the service attitude was also very good. The clerk knew that we were traveling and wished us a smooth journey, which was very heartwarming. Will definitely come again in the future. I wish your store a prosperous business!
Very special menu, not just Asian, it s a very good fusion of HK and Macau and Western Can you imagine? Only caution, don t eat too much.
This Macau style cafe serves up pretty authentic fair. The service is fast and the food is really good. I tried the Portuguese Chicken rice which tasted excellent with a good amount of boneless dark meat pieces.
Average food and service
smoked chicken yyds
Love the customer service here and the food is excellent, my go to spot, keep up the great service
Woodstone Eatery is a good HK cafe that sets itself apart from the rest by having Macanese dishes. We tried the spicy BBQ chicken steak which was really good with a big and piping hot piece of chicken and it was actually spicy. The sauce on the side was interesting, savoury and a little tangy and worked well with the chicken. We also tried the baked Portuguese chicken rice. The sauce was really nice with light flavours of coconut and curry. Milk tea is quite bland. Space is a bit cramped but service is quick and efficient.
Been a very loyal customer for the past two years or so. However, the good impressions we have had so far vanished today. My girlfriend found a disgusting worm which was literally buried in those vegetables in her noodle soup. Called the waitress and her reaction was even more disturbing. She looked at us in shock as if discovering a worm in noodle soups is not a terrible thing to encounter, telling us we shouldn t be worried about it because it was JUST A CABBAGE WORM (literally what she said). There was no apologies whatsoever and she kept asking us what do you want me to do about it? (Once again, exactly what she said). Ended up canceling that noodle soup (and still no apologies whatsoever). Bad customer service and disrespectful manners. Congrats on losing a loyal customer and oh, a piece of friendly advice for you guys: might as well change the name of the restaurant from WoodStone to WoodWorm , which would honestly make a whole lot of sense based on our experience. And here is a picture of the lovely CABBAGE WORM, which is totally normal to be discovered in a noodle soup according to that polite and friendly waitress of yours. So feast your eyes everybody.
There s a BUG on the soup!! So disappointed!! Not first time dining in. No excuse (they said was bug from vegs) but THIS is an actual & visible BUG, isnt it? Preventing guests from eating bugs is basic hygiene, right?
Food is ok but a bit pricy
This is a HK style cafe with a slightly fancier menu. You always need to wait for a table during lunch time. Food and drinks were good. Service was okay. Food portion was slightly on the small side. There were plenty of parking spots.
Good and busy place for Chinese food
Got the baked pork chop in tomato sauce on rice with cheese and milk tea. It was ok, wish the flavour was better for both items. Fast service and decent portion sizes for the price though. They only take debit and cash
The food was unexpectedly delicious. The price is acceptable relative to the portion.
Food quality plummeted and does not come close to where it was 2 years ago. Do not order anything with beef brisket, it is very low grade meat and they skimp on the portions. Some snacks are still decent but definitely not a place I want to come back to.
Hong Kong style restaurant, good standard.
Trash restaurant, a woman (my guess is the owner) is extremely rude and unwelcoming. Go to this restaurant if you have no self-respect, because they will give you non of that.
Everything was pretty good. Ordered the curry brisket bun, brisket was a little overcooked. But everything was pretty good.
price is ok.. but portion a bit small.. not good that no combo to come with soup which most HK style restaurants do.. some not even with coffee or tea. menu can be bigger.. a bit small selection. overall just decent.. hope it will improve
Chef Special baked BBQ pork rice with egg was different and nice. Baked Pork chop was just ok. Tea was good. Probably come back to eat again if Im in the area.
ordered the macao chicken rice for take out. Got a literally burnt front and back chicken. yea never coming back.
I grew up in Thornhill and saw Markham Richmond Hill go from farm land to what it is today from the early 80s. Back then there were only a handful of Chinese restaurants as the may 1999 HK cutover was still far on the horizon. There was a place called Cafe 60s that my big brother would take me and my gf at the time (we were in early 20s). This place served authentic HK comfort cafe food staples like baked Portuguese chicken, and curry brisket on rice... we loved it. But we also had little selection back then. Fast forward 35 years and weve been looking for a replacement for ever and today we found it. Woodstone for us is a throw back. We ordered the classics and enjoyed every bite Like the good ol days.
We came here on a Sunday afternoon just before happy hour ended and there were ample tables at this time. The menu offers interesting variety and we ended up getting the recommended hainanese chicken and baked bbq pork. First, the hainanese chicken was decent, but wasn t good either. The chicken was a little dry and the rice was a little overcooked and bland. One thing I didn t like about this dish was that the rice tasted a little funky; I believe they might ve added fish sauce to it. The baked BBQ pork rice was an interesting dish as I haven t seen this at other HK cafes that often. It is on the sweet side and the bbq pork was tender. Overall I d rate this dish a solid 7/10. Finally, the lemon tea was excellent; they were very generous with the lemon slices and gave us 3 thick slices. If nothing else, will come back just for the lemon tea. Overall experience was good, the staff was friendly and service was quick. I ll come back and try other items on the menu.
When I walked in, I was greeted by Joanne with a huge smile and I was seated very quickly. I ordered the Chef s special (number 42) with a cup of tea and it was very flavourful and the food was fantastic. Every bite I took was enjoyable. If you re ever in the area you have to give this play a try!
tasty
Everything good
Always lots of people. Place is a bit cramp. Price is a bit on pricey side for what you get.
It was super packed even on a Friday early afternoon, but we only had to wait about 5 minutes for our table. I got the spaghetti bolognese which was pretty good. The noodles were perfectly cooked al dente but others might find them a bit hard. I liked the sauce as well, which was slightly sweet but also savoury. My mom didnt like it but I thought it was good. For $13.99 it was a typical price but the portion wasnt that big as I was able to finish it all in one sitting. The iced lemon tea was imo not sweet enough, and because they serve it in a bbt cup you cant add more syrup to your liking. My mom got the Hainanese chicken since we noticed it was a popular item. The chicken was tender and boneless, but the rice was a bit too overcooked and didnt have enough chicken oil flavour. (I personally compare all Hainanese chicken to the one from Phoenix, which I think is still the best.) Not pictured is the curry Portuguese sardine on crispy bun, which my parents both enjoyed. They only take cash or debit so be aware!
Very good tea restaurant, authentic Macau ice room milk tea shop! Great value for money
#49 the Macao Chicken is so good
Wow I love this place. Not only is the food amazing but the portions are huge and most of the mains come with a delicious milk tea.
Dinner time is very busy, most of food sauces tastes over sweet no matter with rice or pasta. Fried Shrimp dumplings is worst. No shrimp inside at all.
I don t quite understand why there are so many people in this place. The food is very average, no better than other tea restaurants, and the prices are not cheap. When you havent finished eating, the waiter will start to remind you not to sit for too long. There is really no need to come here specifically to eat, disappointing!
Hainanese Chicken Rice Monkey Food. Run away immediately after eating. Don t call it Hainanese chicken rice. Call it chicken rice.
Food was good. Little noisy buy overall good experience. But brunch items were stopped to early. Was looking forward to brunch. Said it offered brunch items but was stopped at 11am.
The wild food is so salty and the service attitude is poor
Very poor service attitude When arranging seats, it felt like killing Zuo Qus whole family. Call me the 8-person station and the 6-person platform of Zhang Xi My tone of voice was bad when I placed the order. When I was short of food, I looked at me like this You want to drive me away Picture and text do not match tastes salty Not good to eat I don t know the solution, 4.1 points I don t know why there are so many people queuing up. Li eating rice seems like Li is getting angry
I ordered the cheese pork and egg rice, which was quite good, but I believe the man thought the portion was too small. I also ordered a cup of Taiwanese rock-yaki milk tea, so sweet! When there were bottles of sugar on the table, I thought I had to add sugar to the cup of milk tea. It turned out that when I placed the order, I had to inform them of the sweetener. The waiter said that each store has different recipes. Their Taiwanese rock-yaki milk tea does add sugar! well! Very disappointed customer.
Generous portions, reasonable prices, and excellent service
A true modern brunch-lunch restaurant, been coming here often whenever i get the chance too. Staff are if not, the definition of friendly. Been here enough to know what i normally order along with drinks. Their Macao Famous chicken skillet or somewhere along the lines of that is honestly top tier
The macaroni on the breakfast menu contains too much msg and hence very salty. I was told that they only serve it with one egg so it s impossible to have it scrambled. There are lots of other restaurants nearby offering better value (at least they offer 2 scrambled eggs) at similar prices.
Chibao must order , you will be surprised, is bit spicy, marinated by herbs(?) black pepper, recommended Pork rice is bad compare to the other 2
Pork rice is fantastic! Only accept debit or cash Food
Love the decor.
Love the service.
Its like a cozy cafe and the food was decent like the Hong Kong style Milk tea and the beef brisket udon. If you are a Cantonese speaker then you can talk to the people easy.
I went there few times, last visir was disapponted about the spaghetti with chicken. Sauce not enough, and entire dish was pretty dry.
Hainanese chicken rice was pretty good because the chicken was fresh and yummy. Hainanese chicken is so similar to bak jam gai, so thats probably why i really liked it. however, im not too fond of their rice and honestly enjoy the regular white rice that i eat. the Californian chicken panini is an 8/10 for me because they barely put spinach? and onions. the chicken panini is good if youre a foreigner and you dont want to experiment with Hong Kong food but id be really concerned if youre going all the way to a Hong Kong cafe and just getting a panini... but anyway, the panini wasnt bad. we also got the cheese baked Portugese chicken rice and it was pretty good. good portions for the price. however, i feel like they lacked cheese and sauce - i think it would be way better if they werent so greedy with the cheese and sauce. ive had some garbage Portugese chicken rice in my life, but this place had some pretty decent cheese baked Portugese chicken rice. i also ordered the iced Hong Kong styled lemon tea & it was regular. it was good - but not exceptional. still recommend tho! service is normal ... dont go to a Hong Kong cafe and expect to receive excellent customer service - its all about the food. HOWEVER, we found out they give free coffee/tea for specific dishes and our server did not tell us about this. she didn t tell us when we ordered which is super frustrating because we could ve gotten free complimentary drinks. that was disappointing. -> / also, i kinda dislike that the restaurant area is absolutely not spacious. its small and crampy. thats just a warning!
Very tasty.
HK milk tea was good (not mind blowing, but just good). Had the chicken with yellow noodles. It was alright, chicken was tender and juicy but the overall dish felt a bit bland. With all of these great reviews, I will definitely be back to try other menu items. Speedy service, beautiful ambiance and VERY clean (from the tables to the bathrooms). Aesthetic menu and good options from the Happy Hour menu.
The quality of both service and food here is very high As long as you don t mind the cramped space and being very noisy
This store may have a decoration problem, which makes it very noisy and you have to talk loudly. But it s a very delicious and cost-effective restaurant. There is also ample parking space. You can make an appointment to save time in line.
Had lunch here today. Hainanese chicken got uncleaned fur. Sunny-sided egg on the signature baked rice got egg shells. It got no service at all and not taking credit card, thats why we were not giving tips. The server dare to ask me why I did not give tips. What is the problem with the restaurant now? Tips are for good service and good dining experience, its not an obligation of the customer. Very disappointed.
Today I ordered a chicken chop bun for $8.99. A piece of tasteless, dry and soggy chicken and a bag. There was no sauce, no tomatoes, nothing, only a few thin onions (drinks not included). Mak Kee or Wendy s are hundreds of times better. That s not how making money works!
It can be located, the staff is enthusiastic, and my daughter has a designated canteen every week
The menu here isnt the most comprehensive, but the staff here is super friendly. Their specialty is sandwiches. Both the food and drinks are good, so this is a good place to come for a quick bite.
Another great place for HK cafe! They are always busy. Ordered 1 French toast with mango drink 4/5 2. Fried chicken wings with fries 5/5 3. Ham and egg bun 3/5 4. Self picked spaghetti 5/5 5. Portuguese grilled chicken on rice 5/5 Overall great quality with reasonable price, normal portion size, service is good and fast. Seating space is tight though. Recommend! Kid-friendliness: Kids loved food here
The food is so good and the portion is huge! The price is a fair with the amount of food given. Good place for family gathering or office people who are in rush during lunch. The Basked Series with cream sauce is highly recommended!
An exquisite Hong Kong-style tea restaurant with good presentation and rich side dishes. But today s milk tea has a weaker tea aroma
Strongly recommend Baked Spaghetti Bolognese with Chicken Fillet with Cheese!!! Heavy flavour of tomato sauce is amazing. Also, one portion of the food is more than enough for one person. Secondly, Red Bean Shake is my favourite. Vegetarian options: Fried rice or noodles with mock meat.
Reasonable price, taste good. But still can do better
The food is so so good, and prices are very affordable. Tried the Chinese style breakfast noodles for the first time and wow, its delicious. Food
Lovely little HK style cafe with friendly servers. The place is modern, clean and food is tasty. We ve been here multiple times and looking forward to going back!
do yourself a favour and get the pork chop with gravy and rice it was sooo good
We came here for the first time last week but withheld reviewing it until after the second time today. The food is excellent as there was no MSG used. I love the baked mutton w/ fried rice and baked ox tongue with fried rice. Per person cost is about $18 and is considered very reasonable nowadays. Will pin this place for future visits. BTW, the service is excellent too. Parking: There is a building site next to it and most parking places are occupied by those construction workers.
Came here on a Sunday afternoon during their happy hour. The restaurant was fully packed, but the staff were still attentive. The food came out quickly after ordering. Overall, the food ordered tasted good. Will definitely come back again.
It s exactly the same as it was in Macau in the past. Even the Macau things in the side areas are there.
Our regular go-to HK style restaurant. Love their milk tea, Cha Siu on instant noodles, beef stew on a bun, all yummy.
Cool take on dishes. The potk sandwich was good, the calamari was okay. The different tea drinks looked good, the large fried chicken also looked good. Everyone raved about the carbonara.
Woodstone has been here for a while now and the quality has been quite consistent. Portions in my opinion are smaller than your average hong kong cafe style restaurants. Overall good flavours, particularly do recommend their Hainan chicken and the chicken and ginger lo mein. They are also known for their Macau style chicken steak and their bbq pork. I wouldnt get their soup as the cream soup was grainy and had potato powder... it was unpleasant. Quick enough service too.
Its not often that you find a with vegetarian options, so I was quite excited to try Woodstone Eatery when my aunt mentioned it to me. Had the white sauce baked rice with faux chicken; the flavouring was perfect and portion size was right. My only suggestion is to add some veggies (mixed peas and carrots) into the rice. Staff was extremely friendly and even helped us recalculate the menu orders to include a drink rather then pay for it. The Hong Kong style milk tea was quite delicious! Looking forward to my next visit.
Its a small place and for the price, it is very good (lunch and dinner is the same price). Only thing is it has lots of MSG. I was thirsty all night.
Great food and value. Got the baked tomato cheese pork rice.
Updated review: this used to be a favourite spot of mine throughout the pandemic but we did take out here in late 2023 and it was terrible. My usual dish (baked chicken on spaghetti with tomato sauce) was not enjoyable. The meat was flavorless and the sauce was tinny tasting and incredibly salty. I couldnt finish my dish. ..... This really quaint place in Markham is a wonderful find! A HK style cafe where you can build your own baked dish choosing the starch, sauce, meat and toppings. I loved it! It was really good and very generous with the meat. Service is really good, staff are very friendly and the food came out quickly. Im definitely going to be incorporating this place into my regular line up for food.
Great value and food. Spicy BBQ chicken steak is a must try. Sauce is so good! Cheesy baked BBQ pork is also delicious.
The last time I was here they were able to accommodate a party of 10. I had their baked pork chop on rice with an ice cold milk tea. It is your typical HK cafe cuisine.
With so many Asian/Oriental related food choices to pick from, the result of numerous new eateries sprouting up around town. It is therefore a rare sight to see a lineup formed by potential customers outside a particular restaurant, all waiting to get in .this was exactly the spectacle we observed at 3.00pm from inside this restaurant! The aforementioned remark pertains mainly to new eateries with monotonous, one-dimensional Hot-pot, Spicy Sichuan, Hand pulled noodles and/or Dumpling theme. As such, to discover a restaurant specializing in Macau style Portuguese food was a refreshing and welcoming revelation! To avoid the long weekend crowd, our party of four arrived after 2.00pm for a late lunch at this new found hidden neighborhood gem. The menu contained an attractive array and a good variety of authentic and traditional sounding Macau style Portuguese food augmented by some popular S.E Asian favorites Hainanese Chicken Rice, Malaysian Curries etc. The Macau food related segment of the menu contains perennial Macanese favorites like Pasteis de Bacalhau ( Salt cod fritters ), African Chicken, Macau style Pork-chop in a Bun and the ever popular Baked Portuguese Chicken Rice. For our late lunch, we decided on the following: - Pasteis de Bacalhau - Cream of Potato Soup with mixed vegetables - Hainanese Chicken Rice - Baked Macau style Portuguese Chicken Rice - Baked Whole Pork Loin (Char-Siu Style) topped with creamy Tomato sauce and Sunny side up fried egg. - Baked fried Grouper Fish Fillet with Creamy Tomato Sauce All the main dishes were topped with delicious and well balanced sauces, seasoned to our liking. The greaseless and savory Salt Cod Fritters were crispy, fluffy and light ..Tasty and addictive. The soup, rich, creamy and flavourful. With so many places claiming to offer the most authentic creation of Hainanese Chicken Rice, it is therefore an almost impossibility to settle for The One ! IMO, the main thing was for the dish to offer a delectable taste profile that happens to fit our palate. This was exactly the case with the version we ordered! Stand out dish was the - Baked Char-Siu Filet with creamy Tomato sauce Fried Rice ....different and appetizing! All in all a delightful, enjoyable and relaxing, casual family lunch!
Delivouse
Great place to grab a quick bite. The Iced Hong Kong milk tea complements well with any meal.
Food is really great, meat is juicy and yummy. We love here and will come back for sure
Good food mindless waitress
This place is actually not bad. The baked rice is quite flavourful and the rice is not too wet. One cafe in Toronto I enjoyed coming.
I ordered several recommended meals. The chicken chop with spaghetti was very tasty. I just wish there was a non-spicy sauce option. The kids liked the lava cheese barbecued pork rice. The Hainanese chicken rice was very tender and juicy. The waiter was very nice. , the price is moderate, and it has five-star reviews. I will try other dishes next time.

Been here only a couple times but the food was nice and hot each time. The iced coffee and tea is super tasty, and the bbq meat with fried egg hot plate was an instant fave!
The dishes are thoughtfully designed, and the presentation, taste, and portion sizes are all good.
Good quick lunch. Recommendations for Hainan chicken and any baked rice.
The food is delicious, but the chicken with Portuguese sauce d The Portuguese sauce is really strong and light, the fried rice has a thin base and the portion is not too much, I don t know what to say d The food in the wild is delicious, but I can t say the taste of Macau, Hong Kong tea level Neither can be done. The only good thing is that the environment is great, and the milk tea is smooth and strong at the same time.
The menu is HUGE. Almost all items include hot coffee/tea. Food was delicious and priced reasonably. Very clean restrooms and the staffs were very friendly.
Yummy
Good food
Not bad in general!
Great HK cafe food with a twist. Good portions and service. Cash and debit only Food : 4/5
Their food has always been consistently good. Ordered their BBQ pork with fried egg on rice, chicken pad Thai and baked pork chop with tomato sauce on fried rice, and all of them were delicious. They also have an extensive vegetarian menu too which I think is accommodating and have heard my vegetarian friends commend their food taste and variety. Service is quick, its a clean restaurant and seats are comfortable. A good restaurant overall!
Had the #43 BBQ Pork Topped w/ A Fried Egg on Rice and upgraded the drink to the Black Sesame Ice Cream Shake w/ Grass Jelly - the meal was tasty and more filling than it looks. The surcharge to upgrade the drink was $5. I personally found the shake to be too sweet for my liking.
The food is beautiful. Especially the BBQ Pork. But a bit noisy.
Fast and friendly, slightly upscale Macau cuisine. Happy hours stay at 2:30pm
The food is good but the environment is a little cramped
Today my friend invite me to this Macau style restaurant. Its cozy and family style. Food were so yummy and I love it. I really recommended. Thank you William and Daisy.
Three and a half stars! Feel soso
We had a great time here. The food is delicious, and the service is superior!! Our waitress was a lady with short hair and glasses, she is super friendly, patient and helpful! We were concerned about the caffeine in the milk tea and she offered to help us customize our milk tea. I was craving for fries and even though it s not on the menu she helped us double checked in the system and ordered for us. She is the highlight of the dining experience and we definitely will come back!
Ordered Hainanese Chicken on Rice and Curry Beef Brisket with rice during lunch hour. This restaurant is always full house most of the time, and food qualities and quantities are very standard and stable.
Good food overall. Would be great if have some kind salad or vegetable with the dish. Food
Everything is excellent except the seats are tight, so noisy and cramped when they are busy.
Delicious Hong Kong food!
Food was excellent. More like comfort food with a twist.
A good stop for a quick bite but I did have some bone in my chicken and it was very loud.
Good food at a fair price. Service was quick.
Food was not bad. Drinks were so so. Overall experience was not bad.
First and time at this place. Service was not friendly at all, very brisk and rushed. Menu is over priced for HK style cafe. Try Cafe du HK, even Mings. The calamari appettizer delivered lukewarm and in clumps, bland taste. Spaghetti bolognese a bit on sweet size. Maybe we ordered things they didnt specialize in. Place is small, cramped, noisy. Spend your money elsewhere.
Overall: Food are great with reasonabe price. Service is good. Beyond average of a regular HK Style Cafe Restaurant. Food are great, I love that they have a page for vegetarian option, and it s safe for 5 pungent vegetables ( I also like their Hainanese Chicken Rice, very tasty!! It s a very busy place, but the staffs try their best to be attentive to help what you need. Some of the tables has a remote bell to call server too. The place is not very big, they have a few booths and the rest are a bit close just like regular HK style cafe restaurants. Vegetarian options: They have a page for vegetarian options, and it s safe for 5 pungent vegetables ( . So it s good for Buddhism believers.
It s a Gem
I have a onion in tolerence, i get really sick when I digest it. I tell the restaurant no onions I can not have them. They are aware of this..I go there often....yet again today I got onion..they are very lucky Im not severely allergic otherwise would be a different situation. Have to be alot more careful! Hopefully they can redeem them selves..
Despite my friends cautionary advice, I was eager to experience this place due to its some positive reviews. The overall ambiance is pleasant, with clean surroundings and friendly service. The drinks and food portions are OK and the meat quality is notably fresh. However, the real disappointment lies in the taste of the dishes. We tried six different items for dinner, and none of them lived up to our expectations. One plate was even returned. Specifically, the lacked sufficient sauce and cheese. Lackicg of flavour. Furthermore, the issue extended to the spiciness level, which was unexpectedly intense. While one might anticipate some spice in a chai chaan tang, the extremity of the spiciness overshadowed any other flavors. This intensity is more reminiscent of Sichuan or Thai cuisine, which was not in line with the expected taste profile for this type of establishment. Will not return to this place as there are many better quality cha chaan tang out there.
Not bad, and price is reasonable
I have come here a few times. The food is always excellent. I went there with my cousin for dinner and it was one of the best value meal you can get in the GTA. Delicious baked pork chop in tomato sauce.
