Service was slow. To the point where servers would literally walk by us WITH OUR HANDS UP and just continue to pass us. It felt like they were understaffed. That or they were intentionally ignoring us. Take your pick. My friends and I ordered Combo D. The grill is so small and there was only 1 between 5 people. The cuts of meat were thick and not partially cooked when served so naturally it took FOREVER to cook. Maybe that’s their intention? So that we’d order less bbq meat, while we got full off of the other dishes. 1 grilled mackerel per table. Absolutely ridiculous. What if another table had only 2 people? They would have received the same portion as our table that had 5 people. Also the mackerel we received was just a small fillet. Between 5 people 🥴. We also asked for specific portions of side dishes and .. the servers kept giving us less. Why? It’s ayce 🥴 Overall experience was quite disappointing. Especially because we came here to celebrate a birthday.
The service is incredibly fast, within minutes our food was served, the waitstaff was incredibly friendly as well. The food was delicious, albeit a little on the hot side for those who dislike spicy foods, there were plenty of options and choices for food. The side orders are also wonderful and delicious. Would go again.
Had BBQ beef rib $37 and belly pork $2x which were both delicious. Also ordered season pancake. The appetisers were delicious. Would definitely go again.
Great all you can eat buffet. Went for my birthday. They were short staffed. Only 2 servers. We had to wait for a while for them to take our order and help with refill. Good is great. We ordered less spicy soup and found the soup bland. The spicy chicken is yummy.

The agedashi tofu was particularly noteworthy, with its crispy exterior and soft, flavourful interior. The bibimbap, served in a hot stone bowl, had the right balance of textures and flavours, making it a satisfying choice. The Korean-style pancake was also a hit, crispy on the edges and generously filled. The service at Nakwon is quick and efficient, which added to the overall positive dining experience. The staff were attentive and ensured that we were well taken care of throughout our meal. One of the highlights is the refillable side dishes, a staple in Korean dining. However, I did notice a difference compared to the Yonge and Finch location – while the side dishes here are refillable, there is a limit to how many you can receive, unlike the unlimited option at the other location. This is something to keep in mind if you're used to more generous portions of banchan. Though we didn’t try it this time, Nakwon offers Korean BBQ on the table, which is a nice option for those who enjoy grilling their own meats. The setup looked inviting, and it’s something we’ll likely explore on our next visit. Overall, Nakwon Korean Restaurant provides a solid Korean dining experience with a few minor limitations. The quality of the food and the efficiency of the service make it a worthy spot to satisfy your Korean food cravings. Our go-to place for all you can eat Korean bbq. Their selection of meat are great and all food are delicious. The price is very fair too. Their a la cart dishes are also very tasty

An unassuming Korean restaurant in a very busy mall. Mosly visit during weekend lunchtime so no issue of getting a table as its quite spacious. Usually opt for the AYCE bbq. Decent raw meat selection, but its the cooked dishes that set Nakwon apart - pork bone soup, seafood pancake, tonkatsu,... Delicious food that is reasonably priced.

The waiter had a lazy attitude, looked expressionless, and had no smile. He also spoke Korean to me, which made me confused as to how to respond.
First, check out stains on every chair, what does that tell you? Ordered ginseng chicken, but I found hardly any ginseng flavor. Eventually, I found a tiny piece of ginseng.
Is a decent Korean style food restaurant
Ordered our dishes, and waited 40mins, all we got is free salad. There were only like 5-6 tables with people, won t come back again.
Came here for the BBQ, and I was surprised with the spread of food and how delicious it all was! The Pork Bone Soup was amazing, and everything that was served (combo C) was delicious. The service was quick and very respectful. My group came from out of town for an event, and if we return to Markham, we have agreed we have to come here again.
Very embarrassing to invite my US relatives here for dinner who were visiting Toronto. We have 11 people. There are no sit together options for BBQ. The service was the most horrible that we have ever experienced. 2 servers for entire restaurant. On a weekday evening, we waited over an hour for our food. The waiter took orders from the table who arrived after us. People who arrived after us already ate and gone but no signs of any of our order. We asked if they can serve us small plates appetizers but was refused. The Chinese waiter was very rude saying dont blame me for being slow as your table was last to order while he was the one who didnt come to our table to take orders and gave wrong info to begin with. During the hour wait, there was no small plates appetizers, our seafood pancake did not arrive, no utensils, no water. We pretty much had to get our own stuff as servers were constantly busy. We were about to leave since kids and elders were starving and kids started to fall asleep at the table. We had to get our own utensils, bowls, water. Seriously? Food was not even good. Very frustrating experience and time wasted. We will never come back. There are too many options out there, Dietary restrictions: Dont dine here if you have any dietary restrictions. The waiter falsely claimed what they can do. When ordering they said no. The chef is not flexible either. If you have wheat, gluten, or soy allergies. You really dont have no options here.

i order chesse katsu dolsot, and its perfect tho. I really love it. The servers were nice and respectfully. Recommend for everyone who love chesse with chesse :)). I will come back next time.

I always uber eat from NakWon but Finch location. But this time I just ordered as I usually do and had no idea that this location is actually closer. And its so different! Lots of details like packaging stands out. They really care about your food being properly delivered. Side dishes were packed nicely and my hot soup was covered with lid of course but also when I opened it I was surprised with another protective wrapping. Just big yes! Thank you!) And rice cakes in Kimchichige was a nice touch. Finch location doesnt add it.
Not your typical AYCE BBQ Food 4/5: Pork bone soup was perfectly flavourful. Beef bulgogi was on the sweet side but very juicy and tender. Pork dishes (aside from spicy pork)were very under seasoned but still delicious. Side dishes were on point very authentic korean dishes. You get full really fast with their servings. Service 3/5: Language barriers! Was brought different items that was asked for. Also service was pretty slow. We were there for early dinner around 5pm. Only had three other tables, yet everything was slow. Atmosphere 3/5: not well ventilated for a bbq place. You will smell of korean dishes by the time you finish. Clean and friendly. Overall 3.5/5: Love the food everything was very tasty. Will recommend to friends and wouldn t mind coming back.

I love Nakwon so much. It s my go to restaurant. I had soondubu from here and it hits the spot. Perfect flavour and spice level. I m just sad they increased their prices for the soup (aside from everything else).

Ive been coming to Nakwon with my friends and family for a couple of years now. The staff is very friendly and we love the food here.Their signature side dishes are awesome. Like many Korean restaurants, they refill them for you with no extra cost. After your meal they always give high chews and a yogurt drink for the kids. Parking: The parking can be busy during the dinning time.
The atmosphere of eating here is very good. It is spacious and bright. It makes people feel very comfortable. The service is also very friendly. The food is very delicious. It is really good. Recommended
