Peruvian Cuisine & Pisco Cocktails! Proudly serving the community of Markham and the GTA for 12 years.
Amazing food and friendly service. We came as a family in ordered a variety of different dishes and every single one was great. Would highly recommend anything they have on the menu.
Had lunch with a friend here, and we were both impressed and pleased. The food was very flavourful, fresh and filling. The atmosphere is fine for casual or something nicer. It's an attractive place with a cute little bar. The lunch and daily specials are great value. It looks like they have numerous tasty offerings I'd like to try. Definitely recommend.
Overpriced. Too much blood in the meat and undercooked. Sauces are amazing but, they are smaller than a finger. 17$ for half chicken and 6$ for the half tomato, quarter cucumber and a little lettuce salad. I may not go back. They are closer to the Mall, that's the reason prices are a bit high, but I would pay if the food is good, but food is also just average. Not worth it.
My sister and I ordered quite a bit. She had the anticuchos - get 3 skewers decent size of cow heart pieces and some fried Yuka and a side aji. The charcoal/grill flavour was present though lacking in the marination flavour to the anticuchos. The aji compliment the anticuchos. May have needed more marinating time and salt. She got the quarter chicken with a side option of your choice, fries. The style is different and not quiet a Peruvian polla a la brasa. It was good. The skin was flavourful and crisp. The complimentary side aji sauce was delicious. I order papa a la huancaina, ceviche mixto (tilapia, squid, mussels, and shrimp), and aji de gallina. The papa dish - excellent! A different style and light medium sauce and taste the flavour. Though one potato slice had a brown core, hollow heart. I recommend the papa. The ceviche mixto was disappointing. The leche de Tigre was there but the tilapia had no flavour and needed salt and more marinating time to infuse the leche de Tigre. You had the canchitas, y camote. The sweet potato was buried at the bottom of the dish. It comes with a side of rocoto, oooh spicy. Presentation -10 points. My sister put an anticuchos skewer on the ceviche along with some yuka frita and it looks appealing. I look forward to another try with ceviche. The aji de gallina, the sauce flavour was delicious. Though the chicken meat seems to not have soaked up the flavour. The dish just made it to a passing grade. Request a container for the aji de gallina. Odered a cup of chicha mora and tasted more like apples and a bit strong taste of cinnamon. A different take on the drink. The experience was new and gave it a try. 4 and a half stars
Los Chicos in Markham is a Peruvian restaurant where the coffee is excellent, with beautifully frothed milk. The grilled beef heart is perfectly cooked and flavorful—a must-try. The seafood platter is generous and fresh. My daughter ordered ceviche, which included cancha, a type of crunchy corn nut. It was my first time trying it, and it has a texture somewhat like a mix of corn and peanuts—quite tasty. Their sauces tend to be a bit sour, so if you're not used to that, you might want to skip them. It's a nice little bar where you can drink and watch the game.
This was my first visit to a peruvian restaurant as I had heard alot about this place before but never tried, I must say the overall experience was great and their charbroiled rotisserie chicken, cassava chips and Pisco Sour cocktail was finger licking and delicious!
Really good food. I've ordered family meals many times but today was a date inside the restaurant and the ambiance is actually really good! Never had an idea! Food was good. We ended up having the lunch special so two chicken wraps with fries for me and fries and Peruvian salad for her. One thing we both noticed was the food was a bit dry. We would have liked it if there was a little bit of sauce. Also, cheese within the sandwich would be nice. But alas. Finally, with the greens they were a little bit wet and it got stuck in the back of mouth. That got a little bit weird as it just felt weird having there but yeah, that's about it lol Good little vibes here for sure. I should of reviewed earlier.
Very interesting food in South American Markham. I personally liked the chicken as well as the Jalea platter which is massive. Been here a few times and the food never disappoints, worth checking out if you want something non-Asian in the area.
Delicious Peruvian food!
This was my first time at Los Chicos. The food was DELICIOUS and very filling. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere was nice. I would definitely go back again, this time for dinner. Food
I have travelled to Peru and this food had no flavour and honestly wasnt good. I ordered an appetizer, ceviche and a main and wasnt happy. The music was way too loud.
Cant remember the name of the traditional drink we shared, but it was amazing! The lomo was out of this world! The chocolate cake with homemade ice cream was luxurious!! All in all an outstanding experience! Will definitely be going back!
love this restaurant. their lomo soltado is so delicious. i also tried their papa a la huancaina - the potatoes just melt in your mouth and the eggs give it a unique taste. friendly service as well
Love this place, have been coming for ceviche here for over 3 years and it never disappoints. And the hearts!
Great attention and great food 10/10. Thank you
Disgrace to Peruvian cuisine and people.
The green noodles were very delicious and very good customer service 10/10
What a lovely cozy place! The food and service were Amazing!! I would definitely be back. Looking forward to try el pollo a las brasas.
Dined at Los Chicos for the first time. Overall the food and ambience were very good. Liked the music. Lively but not too loud. Ordered the Lomo Saltado, aji de gatlina, tallarin saltado, and the encebollado do pescado. All were tasty. The service could be improved upon. Tap water should automatically be offered once seated. Had to ask twice for water. We ordered alcoholic drinks at the same time. Three of us received our drinks shortly after being ordered. The fourth drink came with the main course after following up. Not sure what happened there but would have liked to enjoy drink with others, prior to meal. Will give this restaurant another try.
Shrink your delivery zone on Uber. Youre making drivers drive for next to nothing. Plus youre burning way more resources and carbon than necessary just to turn a buck... Shame shame... Food must be stone cold by the time it gets to your customer as well. Every order Ive seen is going DOWNTOWN TORONTO, not markham. And this is untrue. Delivery zones are customized by the stores, as are rates for thesw zones.... This is why you would never get a mcds or bk order going more than 5 km. But your orders are all over 25kms away with 1 hr of travel. No one in their right mind would order and wait so long for a meal... Makes no senae at all. Something else must be going on here. Attached is an example, over 1 hr travel time, WITH USING THE 407 TOLL HIGHWAY, which will take $12 of this trip alone. Youre absolutely lying, and I suggest you move closer to downtown if you want uber drivers to be muels for you.
Being a Peruvian I was thinking to not say anything bad about a Peruvian business but its sad I cant brag about Peruvian food here. Atmosphere is too dark. Service is ok. Food doesnt feel like Peruvian. Chicken is not better than Costco rotisserie, anticucho dry and not fresh , ceviche onions supposed to be crispy and freshly cut and not dead soaked , replace the 2 mussels for calamari. Dessert is not traditional Peruvian besides the icecream. Peruvian salad I have never heard of . Im sorry I hope the food improves and the business succeeds.
Waste of money. EXTREMELY slow and grumpy service, too! The portion of quarter chicken was TINY and overcooked. The salad? Overdressed. The yuca fries? Missing salt. Expensive and not tasty. SKIP!
Terrible customer service. Like absolutely horrible! We asked for cutlery and water multiple times, the waitresses are very very inexperienced and so impolite. We required forks and she literally just dropped a bunch (finally) on our table. Same with glasses and water I am not one to get annoyed with customer service easily, but if it s that bad, it needs to be written down so the restaurant actually does something about it to improve themselves. Speaking of the food.. we got the fish ceviche, it was good but came with nothing to eat with.. I m use to plantain chips or even nachos. Something! We also got a whole chicken and it was extremely dry and they re very stingy with giving extra sauce.. so we had to ask multiple times and they would only bring one small little amount.. with such dry chicken, more sauce is definitely required! We use to come here years ago when they were at Markham and 14th and they ve really gone downhill since then. It s disappointing
Very over priced for no reason, Ive tried same food other places with much less priced and it was great experience, as one example Henrys chicken in east York which is peruvian and served the same way for half the prices, family owned and great service. I will not spend double the cost in this joint.
Food and service is always amazing! I love this place! So much fun. Yummy food. Great atmosphere.
Cancelled my Uber order, got charged anyways. If you are not accepting orders then why are you marked as open on a food delivery app. Now I need to fight with UberEats. Extremely annoying practice.
Love their seco con frejoles I just wish the portion was bigger for the price!
Delicious food. The restaurant was packed, we were impressed by the speed of service, and the quality of the food.
The chicken was sooo delicious and the service was exceptional!
Very delicious food!
Weve been ordering from Los Chicos for years now. The rotisserie chicken is everything Swiss Chalet wishes it was. Also their potato salad is second to none. Highly recommended.
Very good stuff and excellent service clean environment good place to go
What a disappointment. Took a friend to try some Peruvian food after bragging on how good it is, because of the closing time, it was take out. Ordered tallarin saltado and pollo a la brasa. The tallarin was really spicy ( Im Peruvian and can handle the heat, they dont eat spicy food) But it wasnt just a bit spicy, nor is this dish supposed to be. Sadly, they couldnt eat the meal. The chicken was bland, definitely not pollo a la brasa but more of a smoked flavor to it. The sauces were really watery. The quality of what it used to be, no longer is.
I had the opportunity to go to Chicos to eat and it was truly an extremely satisfying experience; All the staff are very nice and everything on the menu sounded delicious, I tried the lomo saltado and it was spectacular, just right! It had a flavor that I will always remember. The Caesar salad was delicious and the chicken was very well seasoned If you are thinking of going, I highly recommend the passion fruit ice cream and the ceviche, they delight the palate!! . I will definitely return and try more of the menu.
We ordered catering a week before our wedding (25 people) as our previous cater fell through. We tried Los Chicos and loved the food so placed the catering order. They were lifesavers!! The food was so delicious that everyone talked about it. The customer service and experience was overall fantastic. Thank you Los Chicos!!!
Friendly staff, great food.
Visiting this place was fabulous! The food was extremely delicious and the pisco sour was luxurious. It is an excellent option if you want to remember beautiful Peru.
So disappointed! This used to be a favourite spot of mine for Peruvian food. Since my last visit the portions of everything seem to have shrunk. I ordered a half chicken + side. The chicken was pretty dry and I could only get it down by drenching it in their sauce which is the only thing I liked. The yukas were really sad, soft and mushy. Will not be coming back any time soon
Tried out the Yuka fries and Pollo ala brassa; loved the accompanying the condiments. Service was great.
Thanks for everything!
I was expecting a mindblowing rotisserie chicken given the chicken costs . When I got home and was anticipating my meal my husband and I realized the chicken was still pink and wasnt cooked through . I am literally on the toilet writing this review right now as you image how my tummy feels . I would not patronize this establishment again .
Ordered a whole chicken for take out, Its raw !!!! I dont recommend this place to anyone !!! Dont even Buy here think about your Family eating Raw Bloody Food !!!!!
I had ordered the chicken wrap the topping on it taste very bad tomato was mushy chicken was dry didn t like it at all fries weren t very good either. Pretty overpriced as well for wrap.
The best Peruvian restaurant I have ever tried, too good! Everything fresh and delicious, I recommend it.
Food is authentic and delicious. Definitely must try it! The waiter let us stay half hour later than their closing time!
Voluminous amounts of food at reasonable prices. Excellent tilapia cerviche with fresh firm fish. Jalea was delicious as well.
I was in the area while my car was at the mechanics, and stopped by Los Chicos for lunch. The gentleman working, presumably the owner, was very helpful and transparent with some questions I had. I ended up ordering the Lomo Saltado (Sautéed AAA sirloin with fries and rice) and it was absolutely delicious. All the flavours went together really well, and the portion is huge. Ill definitely be back to try some other items on the menu. Dietary restrictions: Halal
Best Peruvian Restaurant In Toronto!
Food could be better . But its good enough for something, not 100% Peruvian. Some of the dishes are americanized for sure . The vibe is great. Food is a bit overcharged. Service takes a while when busy . Understaffed for rush hours . Parking: Hard to find parking . But its possible Kid-friendliness: No changing rooms in either washrooms making it extremely hard to dine in with babies or toddlers . High chairs available Wheelchair accessibility: No wheel chair access . The door is hard to open . But there are no stairs .
I called this restaurant a couple of minutes ago to find out whether they were hiring or not, but they responded to me very badly and told me never to call us again! I am sorry for their customer service. -------- it is your response --> Thanks for the response. While I appreciate the advice, lets get one thing straight: speaking to potential employees or customers rudely is not acceptable, regardless of the circumstances. A simple were not hiring would have sufficed. But hey, Im glad to see at least someone in your establishment knows how to talk to people. Maybe the rest of your staff could learn a thing or two about basic manners
Great food.
Had high expectations but dinner was disappointing. We got the tilapia ceviche, two chicken meals: one with yuca fries and one with caesar salad, and a pisco sour and a chicha sour. The drinks were excellent, we really enjoyed them. They were made well and reasonably strong. Unfortunately that was probably the best part of the meal Tilapia ceviche was way too sour, I think they added too much lime juice to it? It wasn t very cohesive, I m not sure what the mussels, corn nuts, sweet potato and one random lettuce leaf had to do with the ceviche. It looked pretty but tasted overly sour and the individual elements didn t really go together. The portion was big though so that s a plus. My quarter chicken with caesar salad: the chicken was good, well cooked and seasoned. The salad was much too salty, I m not sure what caesar dressing they used but it was not good. Not only was it overly salty, it wasn t creamy either. Costco makes a better caesar salad My husbands yuca fries were fine, but they weren t anything to write about. Aside from the drinks and the chicken itself, I didn t like anything else. Also, they had poor ventilation so now my hair smells strongly of grilled meat.
Edit one year later: Based on the restaurants response, I did take out the time to email them my detailed constructive feedback. This was a year ago. I have never received any response. Posted Earlier: Was expecting a bit more from this place after all the great reviews but I had an underwhelming visit. First off, its Peruvian cuisine which I had never tried before so I was excited. However the food seemed just like regular fast food. It tasted good but it was nothing I would go back for or found very different from American fast food. On the ambience side, the place has a good, happy vibe with nice (spanish?)music. I was surprised by how small the place is - I think they have just 4 or 5 tables. Service personell were friendly and professional but it took time to get their attention and I dont recall anyone checking to ask if everything was alright once we were served.
This is the first time we tried the Peru food. The Jalea Platter is very with a lot of fishes and the Yuca Frita is very crispy! The Peru organic coffees are very aroma!
The pollo ala brasa very good
Great spot for Peruvian meal great options in the menu & friendly service
The manager is so nice and our top favourite is the chicken, yuka fries and definitely give the beef hearts a try. We did not really enjoy the lomo saltado with the fried blended in... A bit salty and not unique. The fried corn snackie was interesting to try.
okay.nice atmosphere, however experience of food was not meet my expectation.mixto ceviche was super sour.lomo saltado is like a smpling beef. maybe its just me but wont come back anyways. Food
I was expecting better from them but so disappointed lomo saltado was saltly and no enough beef for 28 dollars price ceviche was soggy no good expensive and bad no coming ever again
Fantastic!!! Just like being in Peru
Great tasting chicken , the staff was very friendly and helpful Highly recommended Food
I have ordered from here on numerous occasions. The ceviche, lomo and Peruvian salad are AMAZING! I must say, however, that when I order from the Vaughan location, the ceviche portions are much bigger.. not too sure why that is. The food nonetheless is outstanding
Never had Peruvian food before and heard this is a location that is halal. The atmosphere was a nice vibe and enhances the dine in experience. I order the Lomo Saltado with the Yuka Fries. The portion was more than what I expected (I can t complain though). It s great for two people or if you are really hungry. The upgrade to the Yuka fries is a must as it absorbs the sauces from the dish. The dish is a bit on the saltier side so the rice and the Yuka fries is a good balance. I do wish their was more meat added to the dish, but $30 in this age it s a great deal for this dish. The two sauces I got included and really go well with the dish, nothing that I ever had before and spicy. Service was great. I will definitely be back.
Always love my Peruvian cuisine
First time in peruvian resto :) amazing food. Particularly liked the big corn that looks like roasted peanuts. Reminds me of home
Great experience will be going back
Chicos chicken with the hot sauce is so good!.. family greatly enjoyed the super combo. Definitely recommend
This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Will certainly visit again.
I went with my family. Best service. Juan took care of us. He has an excellent customer service skills. Friendly and kind. The restaurant is clean. Great music. Wonderful environment. Best dishes Grilled chicken, incredible lomo saltado and delicious ají de gallina. Everything is excellent, very good portions, affordable prices. It was worth it
Food salty as hell !!! Even the rice. Brought my clients there became disaster.
Barely 2 Calamaries on a $ 34 dish and stuffed with Potato (cheap approach). My chicken came very cold and even upon re-heating, it was still cold. The mushroom Salgado is nothing compared to a price of $ 22. NEVER AGAIN.
Hidden gem in the heart of Markham!
I invited my family to eat Peruvian food at this place and the dishes really were a disgrace. The lomo saltado was without juice and cold, the rice with seafood tasted like smoked rice with a wheat flavor and the worst thing is that I saw more rice than seafood. And finally the fish crackling was the most horrible thing I ate, it looked like wet cardboard with no flavor at all. (the only thing that was decent was the anticucho and the ceviche)
I have a bit of a problem with a delivery but they were very kinda a provide me with a solution. They ceviche is the best, specially when u dine in, i feels fresh and it taste just correct as well as their chicha morada is one of the best i have try even in peru 100/10
Indulging in the vibrant flavors of Peru at this restaurant was a delightful experience. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance transported me to the heart of Peru. The menu showcased a perfect balance of traditional Peruvian dishes and contemporary interpretations. Each dish was a burst of exquisite flavors, highlighting the rich culinary heritage of Peru. The friendly staff added to the overall warmth, making it a memorable dining experience. Whether youre a Peruvian cuisine enthusiast or a first-timer, this restaurant promises a captivating journey through the diverse and delicious tastes of Peru.
Our family has been coming here for a long time; my husband is Peruvian and Los Chicos makes some of their favourite dishes that are authentic to what theyre familiar with. Most recently, we booked the restaurant for a family celebration and the staff were great and attentive and the food was on point as always. Top recommendations: Jalea platter is a musssst but will fill you up if you dont have at least 4 to 5 people to share it with. Ají de gallina if you enjoy comfort food with some spice, same with their Arroz Con Mariscos.
This Peruvian restaurant has been a family favorite for many years now. The Ceviche Mixto and Aji de Gallina are my personal preferences. Also, the Pisco Sour (Peruvian Brandy) is made to go down quite smoothly.
Poor extremely slow service. 45 mins since we ordered and not even appetizer came. No drinks nothing! We walked out didn t even get an apology for the poor service. Only 5 tables and they couldn t even keep up with that. Very dissatisfied and disappointed EDIT: I had to edit the review based on the owner reply. First of all, we ordered passion fruit drink, an appetizer and two main courses. It wasn t our mistake that the order was taken wrong. The server didn t write anything on a paper, he just took order without writing anything. So I m guessing he took the order wrong. Secondly, we waited exactly 45 mins and there were only 2 more families that needed to be served beside us. Everybody who came after us was served except for us! Pls don t make assumptions and excuses! Atleast own up to the mistake rather than writing wrong information Poor service
Los chicos offers an extraordinary culinary experience with its delicious Peruvian food. Each dish is full of exquisite flavors that capture the very essence of Peruvian cuisine - a delight for all the senses! BISTE A LO POBRE One of my favorite dishes in Chicos Markham
Frozen fries instead of fresh home made fries. The Lomo Slatado was way too salty. The cheviche was also not good, tasted like they used lime juice instead of fresh lime and it was too salty. Cocktails were nice. Only thing Id recommend coming here for.
Amazing as always!! Highly recommended try out thier menu they have a great selection.
First time at the new location. Nice dining room atmosphere. The food hasnt changed and is still amazing. Chicken sandwich with Yuka fries my go-to meal. Their sauces are so good especially the green one.
Amazing food as always. Lomos saltado, anticuchos and chicken are our go to meals here and they never disappoint.
Amazing food, good service, great price.
Everything we ordered was excellent!
I was just in the area and wanted a light bite. Ceviche was great, I plan to come back for their chicken next time
Absolutely perfect! Food and service was top notch!
Having a great time on Valentines day excellent food and service. It is a pleasure to try Peruvian cuisine, it is truly delicious and tasty. Special thanks to our Colombian server and our host friends.
Must try
As Peruvian I don t recommend this place, the ceviche was really bad quality as well as the lomo saltado. Good pisco sour tho
I was so scared the environment was so hostile
So far the best place to eat Peruvian food in Toronto. Highly recommended! Outstanding service, decoration and of course, food. Everything is also quite affordable!
Fantastic food here. Our first Peruvian food experience and they didnt disappoint. We had half chicken and the steak/onion/fries meals. Really very good. The drinks were awesome too. Stop in if you can!!!
Yum
Authentic Peruvian food and drinks make you feel like you are in Peru. Food is a bit on the salty side. Portions are generous. Definitely treat yourself to a Pisco sour when youre there. Very delicious
Loved the bbq chicken !! It puts other bbq chicken places to shame! Very flavourful and loved their hot sauces !!!! I even asked to take some home :) Diego was super friendly and provided quick service. The ambience matched the name for sure !
Great food, great taste! Must go!
Chicken is decent. Beef is more like stir fry. Recommended dishes
This place os worth every penny you spend! Staff are great and food is delicious!
I did pick up 2 Quarter chicken with fries, I leave five minutes drive from Los Chicos chicken and fries were cold and test-less for our liking. Sorry and good luck.
A friend and I went out for lunch for Peruvian on a whim. This was a fantastic experience. Our waitress was incredibly nice to put up with our questions and give us all sorts of recommendations. The food portions were large for the pricing, and the variety of new foods was awesome for someone who had never had this before. The Inca Soda was neat, and I even had time to order desert which was a huge ice cream portion with three different flavours. Incredibly clean and well designed dining area! Ill definitely be bringing my kids back here some day to let them try it.
Chicken, sauce, inca kola.
This place design was amazing after from a long time the chicken was fresh juicy but could use some flavour fries are a bit hard customers service was good
Amazing food, great servers I am really glad I went..good times
It was our first time trying this restaurant. We ordered the family meal which included: 1 Whole Chicos chicken, 1 large potato salad, 1 large Yuka, 1 garlic bread, 2 hot sauces and 2 mild sauces. The food was delicious, the chicken was moist and flavourful, the potato salad and Yuka tasty. Will definitely come back again.
First time coming here for lunch and it was awesome! Definitely be back with my family!
Grilled chicken was delicious
The chicken is so delicious and juicy. Everything we have tried is great. The staff is friendly.
Dear fellow eaters and Los Chicos, I want to say I am very disappointed and upset with my food. It is difficult to justify a price point of $18.00 when the quality provided is inferior to that of a local fast food restaurant. As a longtime supporter of Los Chicos, I have noticed a significant decline in the quality of their take-out offerings. Despite bringing to their attention the presence of cartilage in my sandwich during a previous order, I was disappointed to find another large piece in my recent burger. This raises concerns regarding the attention to detail and quality control in the preparation of their food. In addition to the issue with the cartilage, the presentation of the burger was disappointing. Upon opening the box, I was taken aback by the haphazard assembly of the chicken breast with soggy vegetables between two buns. The chicken breast was lacking in quantity and taste, leaving me unsatisfied and still hungry after consuming the meal. This experience was a far cry from the Los Chicos I remember from their early days near Markham. The current state of the food lacks the soul and quality that initially drew me to the establishment. Regrettably, this will be my last order from Los Chicos, as I cannot justify the expense for such poor quality food. As an unsatisfied customer, I feel that my experience was a poor value for the price paid, and I could have received better satisfaction and value from ordering a pizza from a different establishment. The pictures I have attached speak for themselves. My order was placed through their online website on March 21st, 2023, with the order number #2121, and the pickup was scheduled for 8:00pm. Update: I connected with the owner of the restaurant and offered my money back for the food :) Raising the stars up by 2 due to the quick communication.
Lunch on a weekday. 1 server that could barely keep up with the 5 tables. Items are on the pricey side for what you get. Place is clean but spotty silverware. Taste of food is good. May try again.
Top tier Peruvian food, delicious and great portion sizes.
The best rotisserie wood smoked chicken ever! I stop here for lunch whenever I m in the area!
We ordered a cassava tray for a party and it was delicious.
Food are amazing! First time to try. The soda is refreshing! Must try Deep fried Yuka!
Heard the place was Halal and stopped by for lunch. The staff was friendly and recommended the half chicken. The chicken was flavorful and the fries very different (in a good way). Looking forward to trying out other items from their menu.
Excellent place to enjoy the Peruvian cousine. The flavour and size of plates are very satisfying and the price is fair. The cebiche of tilapia was very good, it didnt make think in the Corvina or Mero fish ones, it was good. The pollo a la brasa was also very good, the yuquitas were the best side. And the chicha morada was also very good. Definitely a recommendable place for the nostalgic ones or for anybody who wants to enjoy Peruvian food. Parking: There are parking on the back of the restaurant also.
One of my favorite restaurants. The chicken and yuca fries are to die for. The sauces are amazing! I wish you guys sold it in bottles too! I would definitely buy a ton
Very nice place. Friendly servers, nice small menu, everything we had was excellent. Will absolutely go back
Great food/ Amazing service , wonderful atmosphere .
Just dined at Los Chicos for Mother s Day and had a lovely time. Food was delicious, drinks were amazing and service was great. I was given a rose and a complimentary shot of Pisco Sour. Thank you for helping to make our day so special
Went in waited to be seated like for 10 mints, nobody acknowledge my friend and I, so we just walked into the tables area and it was really crowded and tables one beside the other, no space in between practically; so we decided to go back to the front to order to go and stood there for at least 20 mints, if not more, nobody helped us, no one was around. We were really dissapointed not to be able to eat peruvian but honestly the place was a mess and no one caring to take care of customers.
What an amazing restaurant!!! The chicken is juicy, the sauces are amazing, signature cocktails are exceptional. I have tried Peruvian food before but this place was by far the BEST in GTA. Although it was a bit of a drive from Toronto to Markham but it was so worth it! And the decor inside the dining room is beautiful, definitely coming back!! Vegetarian options: Has vegetarian options.
The food and atmosphere of this Peruvian restaurant is the best I ve ever been to and the people and service is the best I ve seen especially when they re really busy they prioritize the food and customers the best I ve seen all in all best restaurants to go to for authentic Peruvian cuisine.
Amazing food and service. We tried it for the first time and our server was very helpful and gave great suggestions.
Nice enjoyed
Best Chicken in Markham, and the sauces are awesome. You need to have the Yuca fries.
WOOOOW! Today we celebrated my moms birthday at the restaurant, we couldnt have made a better decision! The attention from our waitress Liz was incredible, she stole my moms heart and I am very grateful for that. All her recommendations were excellent. The food was excellent, the music, the place, the chilcano. spectacular. I highly recommend this restaurant! best restaurant in markham so far
I ve eaten at Chicos countless times and also delivery and always have exceptionally delicious meals each time. I love everything on the menu, chicken lomo and the cocktails are delicious too.
seriously the best rotisserie chicken i ve ever had every bite is crazy tender and flavourful. also the yuka fries SLAP. the portions are really big and definitely worth the price, especially the jalea which is HUGE and def suits as an appetizer for 4+ people
I got the chicken breast sandwich with yuca fries and the inca cola. The sandwich was big and tasted great. Chicken was still moist. The yuca fries were so filling. I loved the sauces that came with the meal. I wish I could have a tub of it. The cola tasted kinda like cream soda.
Food was great. Lovely ambience and service was nice. Enjoyed the ceviche, pasta and chicken.
Amazing find for Peruvian food. Been driving by and thought it was only a takeout place. Little do you know, theres a party in the back!!! Food is fantastic, service even better.
My family and I usually order take-out from Chicos Brasa for special occasions. This is how we get together and we have the opportunity to taste this Peruvian chicken dinner. The Peruvian salad, the chicken, the fries were all fresh & delicious; that it takes us back to our homeland in Peru. I highly recommend trying this place, not only do they deliver delicious food but they are very dedicated to their customers. A big special thanks to Jorge :)
Food was really good but the service did not serve any water until we asked and were almost finished nobody checked if we were doing well like if we need more sauce or whatever
First time trying this restaurant and we all enjoyed our meals. Will definitely be back. Service is great and waitress was super friendly.
The Los Chicos Team, JAVIER ( the lead) made my event for 60 people easy and seamless. I have had nothing but praise of their food. The stars are the Chicken, Yuka fries and the Potato salads, they are a must. See you next time!
Hidden gem! The Peruvian food was absolutely amazing.
Its great...
magnificent
We came on Saturday July 1 2023 with a party of 4 adults and an 18 month old. Service was pretty fast and friendly. When we needed extra plates, napkins and take out food containers we got them pretty fast too. We got papa a la huancaina, jalea, ceviche, yuca frita, pollo a la brasa; to drink pisco sour and inka kola cans. Everything was absolutely delicious! Kid-friendliness: They had a wooden high chair
Yesterday I was able to visit this restaurant again. Which, by the way, looked more like a bar because of the excessive volume in the environment. We asked that the volume be lowered because my daughter does not tolerate loud volume levels due to medical conditions. They made us believe that they lowered it and the volume remained the same despite changing rooms. table. I couldnt consider it a family environment. The lack of empathy from the manager at that moment when I approached him to try to explain the need to have the lowest volume out of empathy for my daughters medical condition, which at that moment I preferred not to give explanations when I saw that he only responded that his nephews were going. and they were happy. The chili peppers were spoiled, I dont know what happened to the place but I can see that it is having very bad management!
I ordered Jalea (which I always recommend and order) but Unfortunately for first time in the last 2 years, I couldnt find a real piece of fish. It was just shredded. I hope you guys not change the quality of your dishes.
Nice Peruvian restaurant in the markham area. Had some nice reviews and decided to pop in for lunch. We had Chicken with Peruvian salad. Chicken was nicely seasoned and grilled, and salad was fresh. The only downside portion was small for the price range.
Its a busy resaurant on a Friday night. Make sure you call and make a reservation ahead. We ordered a platter, chicken, ceviche and some drinks. The drinks came quickly and they were yummy. However the food took 45 minutes, which is a bit of a wait. The restaurant seemed understaffed. The food was delicious, service was ok. Will return to try other dishes Parking: more parking spots available at the back of the restaurant
I had our dinner delivered. It was so very delicious. The wonderful taste went right through the chicken. Will definitely order again.
Just. Yes. Excellent food and the waiter gave the best recommendations. The portions were enormous.
Great place, stellar service, excellent food. Come here often. However, Music is a bit too loud for families in my opinion.
The food was alright, but Ive had better at more affordable prices. The portion size was generous. The service was good, although the server seemed overwhelmed since she was the only one attending to the tables. The atmosphere have music and the space seemed small, too loud for my liking.
Delicious, fresh, food with unique and authentic Peruvian flavours. Felt like we were in Peru again. A must-try is the Aji de Gallina, which is pulled chicken breast with a creamy and flavourful Aji Amarillo pepper sauce - fantastic! The best Ceviche around - just like in Peru. Yucca fries and their secret green sauce, are yummy and different from regular potato fries - def try them. Homemade ice cream flavours were a cool surprise and very tasty. Service was excellent. Supporting our local businesses! Wheelchair accessibility: All one level
Poor service to the costumer, small portions and they serve the grilled chicken (pollo a la brasa) with frozen French fries. Then the ceviche was tasteless and when we asked for more spicy sauce they said there was no more spicy sauce in the restaurant. I don t recommend it.
Authentic Peruvian food that tastes delicious . The service was great, food was served fast, and we all agreed that it was the best Peruvian food we have had. I recommend trying Perus national drink Pisco sour and picarones for dessert.
I love this place. My fav Peruvian in town. Everything tastes great. The lomo saltado is delicious, as well as their chicken. The chicken is so flavorful and the dips they give are the best.
Good service. Great food. Highly recommend Jalea and Yuca fries. The chicken is tender and the sauce is to die for. Have returned to the restaurant multiple times.
We have been coming multiple times in the past decade, since it was in a very small place on Markham Road and then to the current location. Love the food, bringing back lovely memory of our trip to Peru. Parking: OK. Dont go during peak hours.
Had the dinner for 2 special. 2 different entrees, starter and a shared dessert. Everything was delicious!! And definitely fresh. Even the ice cream is made there. Definitely will return and recommend. Small place. Recommend reservations at dinner time. We didnt have any and luckily we got a table but it was full.
Amazing atmosphere for dining, service was great, and the food was delicious. We had the ceviche and lomo saltado with yuka fries. The menu has so many good options to try. Had chicha morata for the first time as well and I cant wait to get it again. Im now a fan of Peruvian cuisine and cant wait to bring my friends and family here!!
Hard rice, flavor far from the Peruvian real
This was a bday dinner celebration. First thing was that they didn t have any scallops, but failed to mention it until I brought it to the waiter s attention. When I told him that none of the meals had scallops like the menu said, he told me very rudely to let him speak and then stated that he didn t have scallops so they gave me extra shrimp. This was ridiculous because he gave me 3 shrimps in the linguine and we also ordered the big platter of seafood that was tasty yes but didn t have any scallops like the menu said and they barely had any shrimp. I didn t like the waiter s attitude when I told him because he didn t tell me when I ordered that there was no scallops and didn t bother to apologize for being misleading and didn t ask if I was satisfied with my meal. It was a take what you get kind of deal and I didn t like that at all. I wouldn t recommend anyone coming to this restaurant as the waiter is very rude and the customer service is terrible!
What a disappointment. Chicos is my go-to when I have out of town guests. They dont have chicos in the UK. The yuca fries were dry and rock hard. The French fries soggy and limp. Worst was the chicken. Whered all the flavors go. It was tasteless and undercooked near the bone. We ended up throwing most of it away.
I love this place. My family and I always get the family meal, the chicken tastes great and is always fresh as well as the sides! I definitely recommend
I ordered rice with seafood and it was excessively hot, almost impossible to eat to taste. I ordered a non-spicy burger for my son and they put spicy sauce on it anyway. The service is very attentive and the atmosphere is comfortable and pleasant, but the food needs more true Peruvian seasoning.
There s something special about this place. As soon as you enter, you can smell meat being smoked, and you re greeted right away. You go through this beautifully designed hallway and you re automatically in a new dining setting. The design is easy on the eyes and there s so much to look at, all at the same time. The menu: I had a really hard time picking a meal. Why? Everything sounded amazing. This menu was well crafted and portion sizes are superb. The drink menu alone is extremely authentic - I suggest you go for the passion fruit drink! Service: the bar tender/waiter was extremely helpful and took amazing care of us. Very welcoming and very warm atmosphere. I ll be back. I need to try the steak and seafood. This is a must in my book. Such a unique find in Markham. - also, they imported their oven from Peru to give you an authentic taste of their 24HR marinated meats! Thank you for all that you do, this restaurant is amazing.
Great food!! Fabulous service. Small quaint place so best to make reservations.
Excellent waitress Great food Food
We ordered food (party package meal) for the first time here. Everyone at our party LOVED the food. They all commented on how tender and flavourful the chicken is, loved the potato salad and rice A LOT and enjoyed the avocado in the salad :) A lot of the guests asked me where the food was from and couldn t get enough of it. Javier was great to communicate with and very accommodating when setting up a pick up time that worked for our party.
Juicy rotisserie chicken. The creamy chilly sauce is so good. Nice service.
It was pretty good, would come back and try a different dish
The chicken is the BEST, and they make the best yuca fries too. Dont forget to try the lucuma icecream!
Great cozy atmosphere! Food was delicioso. Loved the ceviche and am now craving it!
Food was delicious, customer service was adequate. They also have screens which was playing girls U16 FIBA. Looking forward to coming again! 2nd time coming food is still delicious but disappointed they had only 1 burger left at 5 pm and one of the sauces is now an extra charge. Ill be back however lol
By far one of the most flavorful meals Ive had. The beef skewers were unreal and the entire atmosphere was amazing.
Food was exceptional with very good portion sizes, reasonably priced and a great music and atmosphere. Staff was incredibly nice. Will be coming here again for sure. Wife and I Loved it
Delicious food, friendly service, nice atmosphere, and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend!
Great food and atmosphere.
Dirty & unsanitary. Mud was all over the lettuce in the salad. Sooo much dirt I could wipe it off with multiple paper towels. Not even cleaned in the slightest. Food handling experience, gross. If there was so much visible MUD on the lettuce - how was the chicken handled? Ordered takeout, not returning and will contact owner. Unacceptable.
The foods are delicious, especially the ceviche and the arroz con marisco. Chicken is a little bit dry but well seasoned. My friend loves her pisco sour that she had 2. Staffs are friendly and super helpful. Will definitely visit again.
This is based on Long term review. I have been a customer for years and I have recommended this place to others as well. If you re dinning in you will get the full experience, everything is great, but keep in mind is a small place, so space is limited. Call them ahead of time during busy times. I have never had to call in, because we dine in when is slow. If you have any issues with the food or w.e the case may be, you can always talk to them on the spot, but you won t need too because they make sure everything is good as most of the time the owners are on site and they have good customer service. Take out is a total different experience as you want the same experience as when you dined in, the issue is that is a hit or miss at times, not all the time. I ll just say this, before leaving the store always! I repeat alway! open the bag and check that everything that you ordered is in there. We had the occasional of items missing from the order. Gets annoying. Now the star of the review., When ordering chicken you want a Fresh chicken just like the dine in, the issue for us is that today we can get a whole fresh chicken and tomorrow we can get half fresh chicken mixed with an older cooked pre heated chicken. Nothing wrong with that, but the old and pre heated chicken wont have same flavour as the fresh chicken, that is juicy and tender!. You can tell when is too late. Customer service has being good, but you get the occasional new/older worker who hates their job, so don t take it personal, For the most part they nice. But you can always speak up or leave a review. I gave them a 4 star as they have room for improvement. So I can come back and edit my post in the future. Also side note. Chicos Brasa Markham although they have another location in Vaughan, do not expect the same service, food taste and experience. The only thing that they share is the name. Chicos Markham I would say is more upscale (then again they target a different demographic, and the Vaughan location is GHETTO, just read the reviews and see the ratings. I tried them both so I can speak from experience.
Huh. I don t get this place for take out. Portions are small for price and taste not that far off from Costco Chicken at 5x the price. The sauce is nice, but kinda small and I don t know if it s for Yuca or chicken. Maybe dine in is different?
Food was absolutely amazing and the service was impeccable. Excellent environment and good on the pockets as well. Will definitely come bacc and recommend to others!!
