The food at Mandarin Restaurant was absolutely amazing, offering a delightful variety of flavors that were perfectly prepared and incredibly satisfying. One of the better Mandarin Buffet Restaurants in GTA. The restaurant features a vast array of dishes, offering everything from traditional stir-fries to salads, sushi and dim sum etc. The food was fresh, atmosphere was vibrant, with a clean and spacious layout. Dessert options were plentiful. Staff members were attentive and friendly. The price was reasonable for the variety offered, making it a good option for families or gatherings.
First time having dinner at Mandarin buffet in over 2 decades. Came for a birthday celebration. That do a good job in making the birthday person feel special. The service is excellent. From the front desk, to the staff keeping the food topped up to the staff waiting on our table, everyone was amazing. We given hot towels at the start and the end of the meal which is a very nice touch. Water and drinks were kept topped up and dishes were promptly cleared. Love the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant as well. Ample seating, calming decor and the koi pond at the front is lovely. Right now they have special dishes for the moon festival (see pics) like moon cake, butternut squash soup, apple salad, seafood casserole, chicken and eggplant, sweet and sour fish, moon jello, ube vanilla ice cream, mini donuts, pumpkin pie, and of course lotus moon cake. I enjoyed the moon festival dishes. There is quite a lot of deep-fried dishes, none of which I ate because they did not appeal to me. All 4 soups were delish accept the wonton skin is quite thick so I just had the broth. Salad bar is good. Sushi bar did not look fresh so passed on that, prime rib was quite good, horseradish is excellent. Bbq ribs was a bit dry and didn’t fall off the bone. The veggie dishes like green beans, broccoli and spinach were quite good but vegetable items are quite limited. Most of the desserts are overly sweet and there are a lot of them, two stations in fact. The Pina Colada had way too much coconut oil not enough pineapple flavour and the Shirley temple was mediocre. I would not recommend ordering drinks. Overall there were not as many options that were to my liking but the service and decor were great.
The Service was good and the staffs were friendly and welcoming. Even though it was labor day and the place was packed the staffs weren’t too busy to attend to everyone. It was a fun experience.
Went here for lunch with a big group of friends and the food was pretty good. They have a more western catered Chinese food compare to the more authentic Chinese food of Dragon Legend. They also have a selection of Japanese food like sushi and sashimi and western food like beef sliders, French fries, roast beef and onion rings. They also have a cold salad bar section. The dessert section was big. Different variety of cakes, cookies, puddings, and donuts. The best thing they have is the soft serve ice cream/yogurt machine. You dont really see that these days at buffets. They also have a lot of toppings for the ice cream section. My only complaint was that the floor was very sticky in the buffet area. The service was amazing as our finished plates were taken away very fast and our waters were always refilled without asking.
Susie and Sheryl are so helpful and kindness! Overall excellent and worth it. What can better: food seasoning, knife skills, lighting (toooo dark to reduce happiness), wasabi (very low quality and not spicy at all), desserts (most are extremely sweet with only chemical essence, this category can be called sugars not desserts).

Proper Vegetarian options: Many. Dietary restrictions: They got halal food if you just eat the sea food, the other meat isn t halal tho, pretty good amount of options that are halal and they have a big fish usually that substitutes as the meat for the meal.
Madarine is a classic western style Chinese. You cant go wrong but since other more authentic Chinese buffet offerings have popped up I rarely go here.

Great dinner at the Mandarin Restaurant last night! The place was clean and well-organized, which set a nice atmosphere. Service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Loved the crispy spring rolls and the prime rib was flavorful. Prices are reasonable too. Will definitely come back Kid-friendliness: The Mandarin Restaurant is quite kid-friendly. They offer a childrens menu with appealing options, have high chairs available, and the staff is known to be patient and accommodating with families.
Other than the delicious bread pudding, most desserts are too sweet. Some other outstanding food are the sliders, Thai chicken salad, and salmon.

Our company Christmas dinner party at Mandarin took place on a weekday, making it less busy compared to weekends. We were seated in nearly half of a hall reserved exclusively for our staff just beside the sushi station. The food stations were well-stocked with a wide variety of dishes. Jason, Angela, and Sussie provided outstanding customer service, being attentive and responsive to everyone s needs. We also want to commend the Nepali staff who works beside sushi station for their friendly and warm service. Overall, we had a wonderful time, enjoying the authentic ambiance that elevated the dining experience from start to finish, including the Cotton Candy grab-and-go station at the exit.

Wish they were here in AZ as well. Always busy and fresh items on buffet line. Its our go to Chinese restaurant when in Toronto. The salmon was done to perfection. Vegetarian options: Veggie dishes Wheelchair accessibility: Not a problem in restaurant incl dedicated toilet facility. Building a bit hard to access due to narrow walkway.

Overall our experience was not good and since we will not be coming back it is fair to leave some feedback. Unfortunately what made me feel disgusted was the lack of control of the environment when it came to hygiene. During my visit today there was a group of young kids running and playing around the restaurant, crawling on the floors, touching the floors with their hands. The same group of kids reached into the bowl of sprinkles with their bare hands and started playing with the sprinkles. Now I understand its not the fault of the workers as they should not be supervising the customers kids while working at a restaurant however, I do believe that there should be someone be on the look out for this type of behaviour. Kids crawling on the floor is a safety hazard, and touching food with barehands is disgusting. Next thing I wanted to point out was the place where we sat. The moment we arrived at our dining table, it smelled terrible. Now I am an avid buffet eater, I understand there needs to be a cleaning station to clear the food, however I never had an issue with other restaurants. While we were sitting next to cleaning station, we couldnt help but feel a bit gross. Last thing was the food variety, I feel that there are too many dessert selection compared to savoury dishes which is a shame. Half of the savory dishes were fried food. It would have been nice to have some steamed dishes, or something innovative like Dragon Legend/Pearls peking duck. The drinks we ordered were too sweet, Ho Ho Ho drink did not really taste like Pina Colada. The lack of coconut made it quite underwhelming. It is a shame that Mandarin is not as good as before. However, I can say the service is good, the cotton candy service was good.
Amazing! I love the noodles, the shrimp tastes really good. Also they dont just have Chinese foood, they also have pizza,ice cream, ect. I recommend to go here. The service is great ! They are really kind too. The atmosphere is pretty, from where i was sitting, I saw fish lights and a small aquarium. The restaurant is also really clean! Vegetarian options: Theres also a lot of veggies, some fruits and some vegan/vegetarian options.

The server was Angella and Queen we had birthdays asked her for cake she came late with cake after she went to 4 tables with our cake to do their bill some how the cake shape came damage then we asked Queen for tea we got it late too.

Great, all you can eat restaurant.
No matter how good the mandarin restaurant is, the food is consistently the same. For a buffet, the variety is great and the freshness is okay. However the food does not taste amazing and I would place it at a 7.3/10 Good spot for a gathering though since you can just focus on being together with your group.

The meal and selection were great. Inflation has impacted the experience. However, the food quality and selection still made it worth going. My only criticism is that we didnt see anyone offered the steaming hot towel at the end of the meal. They still serve unlimited real roast beef so that is a plus

We had a horrible experience two days ago on November 10. We went to Mandarin on Woodbine for a family gathering. When they took the reservation for 2:30 pm nobody told us that we could only stay for one hour because the restaurant closed at 3:30 to change over for dinner service. They told us when we arrived. Had we have known this was the case, we would have gone somewhere else. We didnt even have time to order drinks, half an hour into our meal, staff came around telling us to hurry because they were closing. We were rushed throughout the meal unable to chat and enjoy our time together as a family. Staff came a second time again rushing us. We couldnt even order coffee or tea. The quality of the food was also not great, things were running out and not replenished. You should not take reservations so close to closing time, you should give guests at least 90 minutes to stay and enjoy their meal. Your staff should not rush guests. Also, if you continue to take reservations so late, at least offer a slight discount as the food is not fresh and popular items run out. They didnt give us a seniors discount for my mother, and they charged for my 4 year old when kids 4 and under should have been free. Horrible experience. We left the restaurant hungry!!!! That should never happen at a buffet.

Today is my birthday and our family came to the Woodine site for luncheon. Susie was our server and her service and professionalism was 5/5 . Really glad to be here and will definitely be back again for sure!! Exceptional experience! Highly recommended
Went in for lunch and it was a nice place overall. The food options were a bit small but the taste was good.
All-you-can eat Asian inspired buffet. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. However, the food was pretty mediocre. The roast beef was so salty and lacking in seasoning that it was difficult to eat.
None too glamorous the food, with cooked salmon, scallop something, and sashimi taking the top prizes. No crab legs or lobsters this Saturday lunch. Service was silent, considerate, and efficient. Crowd was civil.

The food was great - I stick to Halal or Kosher so I cant eat the meat dishes, but even then there were a lot of non-meat dishes available. There was an abundance of seafood - salmon teriyaki like dish, steamed whitefish, fried whitefish pakora like dish, 7 or 8 types of shrimp dishes, some shrimp based sushi (plus a few shrimp + meat dishes I could not eat), mussels and seafood salad. I felt like that Bubba character from Forest Gump. Then there are the usual vegetable dishes, noodles, and a well stocked salad bar, plus sushi and pizza. My younger daughter loves their deserts even more - especially the waffles. Recently, they had a candy cane counter for kids, too. If youre a meatatarian, theres ample choices, too - from traditional Asian dishes to a roast carvery section. If I was still my younger and less religious version, then I could have been happy eating those to my hearts content. One thing to bear in mind is that lunch buffet is from 11.30 - 3 pm on weekdays. The closer you go to closing time, the less frequently they replenish the dishes. The staff was nice too, particularly our server. Genuinely nice and attentive, and kid friendly. She is a credit to her employers. I didnt grade the atmosphere because the place is huge and busy, and I just came with my teenage daughter for a quiet lunch on a weekday afternoon. I am sure it would feel different if I had come with a group of friends. With such differences, its hard to grade the atmosphere. Check out the huge goldfish in the pool near the entrance. They just come to you with their mouths out of the water, hoping for some food from you. Update: Just went again last night (11 Oct 2024). As it was Friday, the buffet was $5 more expensive per person, but much less crowded. We arrived at 8pm and the place closes at 10pm with last call at about 9pm. Still lots of food - even being restocked - and the place much less busy and thus more enjoyable this time. Staff great as usual. Kid-friendliness: Staff very kid friendly. There are some kid-cebtric options such as pizza and burgers.

A lot of things were overly salted compared to other Mandarins. One dish of breaded pork was so salty I could not eat it.
