Wonderful, warm, friendly service. Our group, my companys Christmas dinner was treated to attentive, warm service. The food offerings were not wonderful however. The steak, mushroom risotto, chicken dishes were lacking, plating, taste and complement to its sides. The salad and ice cream were surprisngly good. Based on my first time experience I couldnt recommend a visit.

Definitely reccomend! Situated in a cute town, this spot serves goodness! From the fluffy pancakes topped with berries and whipped cream to the hearty plate loaded with scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, lamb sausage, roasted veggies, Shakshouka and fresh bread with jam every bite was chef s kiss! Perfect vibes, great service, and enough deliciousness to keep us full for the day.

What a great experience! I hosted my mothers milestone birthday at the NextDoor lounge earlier this month. From the booking process to the final event everything was seamless! Highly recommend for any event! I was able to visit the venue prior to the event and chat with staff on different set-up options for tables and have a run through of what to expect. Levon was very patient and gave me full confidence that everything would be perfect (and it was!). Fast forward to the event, I was able to come an hour early for set-up for florals and decor. The side entrance was a game changer so we could drop everything off directly into the Lounge area from the parking lot. Managers Shania and David were so wonderful and ensured that the slideshow and all the technology was up and running on both screens in the lounge. Shania and Levon did a walkthrough of how night would go from when guest arrived, dinner and cake cutting so we had a plan (super helpful!). Kaori, the host was welcoming. Levon and Kristyn did an exceptional job throughout the entire night, ensuring that guests had everything they needed, everything flowed smoothly and checking in to see if anything additional was needed which I really appreciated. Kristyn was a rockstar and took multiple group photos throughout the night (which isnt easy with 22 people - including kids). The NextDoor team was very professional but had such great and positive energy that made all the difference for the event! I would def host another event here!

Got the brunch tower for two -plentiful food for 3 small appetites -breakfast potatos and brussel sprouts were very good. Bacon crispy. Shashuka just okay. Eggs soft but not presented very nice. Their featured mango pancakes were dense/hard and not fluffy. Definitely the worse part of the meal. It was really busy at brunch/lunch on a Thursday so would recommend a reservation. Id come again :)

The tower is good portion for even three people when we ordered two. Lots of varieties and food tastes good.

Came here on a weekday at 11 am and had the place to ourselves for most of our meal. Beautiful classy decor. Friendly staff. Our dishes were so unique and flavorful. My favourite part was the pancake. Matcha latte had non dairy milk option. Edit: came back 2 years later and the place has changed. The service was quite unsatisfactory. Though the servers were kind, they served everyone completely out of order. As in, people who came later than me were finished eating and paying their bill already by the time people who arrived before me just got their food. I myself had to ask a few times if I could order yet, or if my food was ready yet. There was also a mistake on my bill where they charged me for the drink of another table. The food was also not great. Got a burger and the bread was almost inedible, toasted so rock hard. My son was resorting to dipping the beef patty into water to give it some hydration. Unfortunately I will not be returning. (No photos from this visit)

Parking in unionville is a nightmare, but it s worth figuring out for this awesome brunch spot. The Ube pancakes were phenomenal, and the duck confit Pancakes were an amazing take on chicken and waffles. 10/10, a must try if you love interesting brunch spots.

Had a super upset brunch @2:45pm today. There was a bug staying on our pancake (it was there when it was served from kitchen). We told the waitress and she didn t even say a single word, she brought the plate away with poker face. After almost 10 mins she returned and told us they are making a new one okay? in very rude tone. At that point we ve lost all the appetite. Also I didn t hear a single SORRY in the whole convo. In this case we decided to skip the tip and I watched this waitress shaking her head and scoffed. Then she stared at me for a sec. I ve been a loyal customer since 2017, but the service is really unacceptable now. If you really do care about your future development, please seriously consider hiring someone who knows how to properly serve customers.

I ordered whiskey, and the amount was so small, barely a spoon. The vegitable ball was oversalted. It got replaced to much smaller portion of the same.

Found this place on a whim. Had my wife and two kids for brunch on a Saturday. I ordered the burger and it came with fries. It was very flavourful and fulfilling. My wife had the Birria dish. She said it was great as well. Great atmosphere - sat outside Great waitresses - very caring and accommodating (seated us with no reservation) which is no guarantee Food was good for the Value.

Our first time at Next Door and we were not at all disappointed. Kyle, our host walked us through the menu and described the daily specials. We both had tehe Community Burger which was delicious. I also had the mixed greens salad, which was also a good sized portion and quite tasty. Very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.

brunch tower for 2 is delicious - bacon could be more crispy. Staff is super busy and hard for us to call for more coffee- wait is bit long.

The bread and butter were good, but my niece found the hosts service lacking, although the servers themselves were kind. When we visited on the weekend around 7 PM, the restaurant was nearly empty, with only one other table occupied. Unfortunately, the food tasted stale and not fresh at all. Exceeded my expectations. Not just your typical brunch spot. Excellent service and ambience. Variety of different fusion foods consisting of Asian, Mexican, Middle Eastern, Typical Canadian options. We had the Quesabirria Hash, Pumpkin/Chocolate Pancakes, and Burger. Highly recommend all of those! Next time I want to try the avocado toast and shakshuka! Our server, Jovie (hopefully spelled that right) was wonderful! Will definitely be back again!

Food was ok. Regular brunch fare. Presentation is a gimmick. Service was atrocious. Asked for sauce, nothing. Nobody came to check on us. We tried asking another server, showed a finger and never came back. Only showed up for bill. When you start thinking about the experience due to service, 3 stars is being generous.

Wow but what a find! We were traveling and tried this restaurant. Food quality, impeccable service, atmosphere everything was wow!

Update: We had dinner recently and the food was pretty good! We ordered a lot of food for the table, brussel sprouts, scallop risotto, seafood tower, mussels, steak and frites and some desserts and everything was delicious! Definitely coming back again for dinner! NextDoor is a good option for brunch food. Located in Main Street Unionville, this restaurant is tucked away from the main road with a small patio space for outdoor dining in the summer months. They offer a lot of fusion brunch options. I ve been here a few times, and I ve ordered something different each time, the latest being the Shakshuka, which was pretty good. I have yet to try dinner here. I suggest making reservations because it does get busy.

Had a nice dinner experience here the other night. Booked a small reservation and was seated immediately. Service was friendly, timely and attentive. Dinner menu options were a bit limited in range but the drink menu was plenty. The meal was delicious, good quality food and hot when served. Wasnt rushed between courses and the washrooms were clean. Enjoyed my visit, would recommend and will come back.

Came here for brunch with my husband and in laws. The atmosphere inside is great and they also have a cute patio area. Everything on the menu sounded good but we ordered the Hash, Shakshuka, Duck Confit pancakes and pancakes of the day (tiramisu). All our dishes were delicious and very filling. Ingredients tasted fresh and nothing was too salty. We had a few espressos and a London fog which were very good. Michaela, our server, was delightful. She was very patient, friendly and welcoming. They also gave us complimentary eclairs after our meal! Definitely recommend this place and will be coming back to try more dishes!

Wonderful place for brunch. I had a party of three. We booked a reservation ahead of time to ensure that we had a table. This restaurant fills up pretty quick. The breakfast for two can easily be shared with three people. Our food was fresh and the service is good. NextDoor rotates the flavours of the pancakes every so often. Today we were served blueberry matcha pancakes topped with whip cream, strawberries, and granola. Yum! Upon ordering, staff arent pushy. Waiters and waitresses are very attentive. They come by your table every so often to re-fill your water and its a nice touch as you dont need to ask. Bathrooms are a bit small, but clean. The parking lot can easily fit 20+ cars. The atmosphere is very calming. I suggest asking to sit in the main dining room on the sides of the restaurant against the windows because the lighting is very good for pictures! :) I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a simple, classic, and fresh breakfast. Lots of options as well. A bit on the pricier side, definitely worth trying at least once, but you will definitely want to come back again.

Had brunch with a friend, the kimchi soba noodles were great. The water though had a really strong chlorine taste though. Service was slightly slow. Food : 4/5

We ordered the brunch tower for 2, bbq eel croissant, okonomiyaki cheeseburger, quesabirria hash, and a couple of mimosas. Everything tasted great and super flavorful. We were super full and had to pack the extra left overs for take out. Theres indoor and out door seating. The atmosphere was really nice and the service was great. Theres a parking lot right beside the restaurant and on street parking as well.

Came for the infamous brunch tower for 4 actually (we were a party of 5)! Plenty of food we actually had leftovers to take home. A touch salty but good variety of food and a good mix of sweet and salty. My favourite was the blueberry pancakes as they were so fluffy and just the right level of sweetness. It is busy so book ahead of time if you want to sit at the patio!

We celebrated my nephew s wedding last night! It was amazing! The staff were very attentive and fun! The multi-course meal was beyond exceptional! The atmosphere including the patio was perfect! I highly suggest holding a special gathering there!

The place is nice but the food and service was not good at all. The service was too slow. Brought the drink order ofter the food. Waited too long for orders and even bill. Ordered the chopped salad with chicken. The vegetables were terrible and not fresh. No dressing, no nice presentation. Almost didn t touch my food. When I reflected my criticism, they just offered an $8 gelato for making it up; however I paid $23 for the low quality salad which I barely ate.

The service was not up to par. The prices were high, and the service was slow. The food was served before the drinks, despite our repeated requests for the drinks to be served first.

What really stood out was the staff, they were friendly and genuinely attentive, making the whole experience memorable. Definitely a great date spot for anyone in the area.

Food and service was amazing. We ordered the Brunch Tower for 2 and it was very filling. The tower had a good variety of brunch foods with the lamb sausage being my favourite.

Had Avocado Toast yesterday and the toast is cold, and the worst is that the food is either not fresh or contaminated that made me sick and vomit several times.

We love this place. Their brunch tower is the best mix of sweet and savoury. We had their daily pancake, which was ube was coconut cream and pineapple. It was delicious. The lamb sausage is perfectly grilled and we love the scrambled eggs with light chilli oil, which definitely gave it a kick. They have very creative dishes and they are never boring. Was excited to visit this place. Overall not a bad experience at all. We went in for early drinks and dinner and the place was completely empty at the time. We were sat in front of the bathroom facing the back door and parking lot though because all other tables were reserved. So didn t get much of the atmosphere.

The plant based brunch towers look is deceiving. The tower only holds two pieces of bread. Without the tower arrangements the food on the plate can not be priced that much.....$60. NOT worth it.

DON T COME HERE FOR DINNER! I feel absolutely ROBBED. I ordered the catch of the day to which the price was not listed as it varies. I get it. Once J tried the food, it was super mediocre. I mean it was like acidic rice (why vinegar on rice???), with bland like greasy broccolini, and a small but overdone piece of salmon with a mustard sauce on top. I could have made this at home for better and for cheaper. Worst part is, it costed me $40 for this plate of food! $42 to be exact! jeezus, also while we were there all the servers looked super confused, they were dropping everything and it was just not a nice environment. I honestly don t know why they have been open for so long.

Came here for a late night dinner. Tried their seafood tower, it was pretty good. Atmosphere is not bad. Restaurant front door is a bit hard to find. Price is average. Service is pretty good. But to be honest, nothing really fascinating.

Had the brunch tower, which came with: scrambled eggs, lamb sausage, smoked bacon, brussel sprout, potato hash, shakshuka, toast, pancakes. Food was good. Service was terrible. Our waiter didnt check up on us. The one time he came to our table, he didnt even ask us if we were finished with our food and started stacking everything. It came off as a bit rude and rushed. Also, we waited for 30 minutes to get the bill and got fed up, so we went left the table and went to the front ourselves. Honestly, terrible experience but the food was good. Avoid coming on the weekend is my advice.

We were invited to a wedding ceremony, with the reception held at Next Door restaurant in Unionville. We loved the food, and the service was excellent! Every staff member we saw was doing a great job. As a former hospitality worker, I was particularly impressed by one of the servers, Veronika. She was always smiling and showed such respect and dedication. Veronika is truly passionate about her job, Well done, Veronika!

I ended up ordering a cold seafood soba and a blueberry mojito-both were absolutely delicious and a very nice option for brunch. My issues were that the bathroom was not the cleanest and it took a long time to get the machine when I wanted to pay~ Parking: Parking lot is for the whole unit with other shops and it fills up quickly at busy times

Second time coming here and I really like the joint! This was the first time we came with our toddler and it s really interesting how restaurants that market brunch have no clue how to handle families. We asked for a cup of milk, and was given a gigantic glass for our 4 year old. This is what happens when you cater to childless people I suppose because no way was my 4 year old drinking all that. Additionally, it s a very sterile uptight atmosphere but what are you going to do? Service was excellent, server was knowledge and everything came out in a timely manner. Food was superb. Got the birria scrambled eggs and white chocolate French toast. Delicious pairing to share and more than enough food. Overall, I would recommend this place but just remember they cater to the childless first then families.

I feel like this restaurant is for brunch than dinner. They dont have a lot of selection in the mains in the dinner menu. I ordered mussels, risotto and a latte. The food was pretty good. Service was good. The dining room amberience was nice. Their patio used to be good but not sure what happened to the water next to the patio. It dryed up and it looks ugly now. Parking could be a challenge.

Such a cute scenic spot. I had the shrimp and fried egg. The lamination on the croissant bun was incredible, it was perfect paired with the shrimp patty. The dressing on the salad had a riot of flavour. My sister had shakshouka perfectly poached. The mocktails were outstanding. Very innovative food, reasonable prices and fantastic service. Cant wait to go back.

Came here for a bridal proposal at 6pm. We were not informed beforehand that there was a 2 hour limit and that the restaurant booked a reservation right at the 2 hour mark. They rushed us from beginning to end. I understand why as some of the party came late, one reason being we were waiting for the host to finish setting up as they couldn t guarantee the table would be free for her to setup before our reservation start time . There is no need for the extra sassy attitude (I.e. Handing the host the bill while she was taking pictures, handing her the machine during her pictures, checking your phone for the time when we asked for you to take a video for us, telling the next party that you re just waiting us to leave). We apologized many times and were very mindful of the time and tried to rush. We even ordered apps before all of us arrived and ate family style to try and rush things. We packed our foods and were out at by 8pm. I completely understand that the servers need to rush us as there s a booking afterwards, but that is why you inform the party beforehand of the time limit, don t book back to back and on top of that don t catch an attitude. I ve worked as a server/hostess for many years, in my experience you d leave a 15 minute buffer time to allow guests to leave, and clean/set the table. My point is that for groups looking to book, be wary of the 2 hour time limit they fail to disclose beforehand. Food was okay, I prefer their brunch menu! The portions were tiny for the price, overpriced IMO. Wouldn t come back for dinner. Do recommend their brunch menu though!

Next door is the best brunch spot in Markham/ Unionville. Their menu is limited compared to other breakfast places but the quality is superior. I recommend this place to everyone!

Fantastic place! We had the brunch tower and avocado toast to share among 3. I would say the brunch tower for two is enough for 3. Friendly service.

The service is immaculate, shout out to Michelle. Atmosphere is great as well, it is located in a nice neighbor. Unfortunately, the food let me down. The fresh oyster for $4 each is small but taste fresh. The risotto took around an hour to cook, in which I know it takes around 20 minutes. We are done with the appetizer and our daughter is finished with her kiddie meal before the mains got served to us. Steak is regular, nothing special. Maybe the shareables are good.

Our favourite brunch restaurant and so far, weve never been disappointed. Ive only been there twice and both times the food and service were excellent! Both times went with the Brunch tower for two and to be honest, its more than enough food to feed up to three people! The quality of the food (Brunch tower) is delicious and is highly recommended! Subjective, but it was a big portion for me! Priced fairly for having it in Unionville. Cute patio, yummy food. The place can get very busy as soon as the weather is nice so book resos well in advance if you want patio.

Came for a private function, the food and service did not disappoint

Had a 20 minute wait without reservation on a busy Sunday morning, but definitely worth it! We opted not to get the brunch tower and try some of their fusion options, which looked more unique and interesting. Highly recommend the matcha lattes! Avocado toast was my favourite the avo, seaweed salad, salmon, soft boiled egg and sweet soy sauce dressing paired so good together! The amount of salmon was very generous and overall it was a very balanced and filling dish. The eel scrambled egg croissant was also indulgent even though the eggs were flavourless and chewy, it balanced well with the flavourful eel and mayo. Lastly, the soba noodles were decent but a bit bland, would definitely recommend the other dishes instead. The service was amazing! They relocated us to a shadier table after we requested to get away from the sun. :)

What a cute discovery! A very beautiful restaurant, great indoor and outdoor space, free parking and delicious food! 2024: I had the brunch tower. They had a cute slice of cheesecake for birthdays. 2022: I had the berry fizz drink, perfect for a late afternoon. For the main course, I had the lamb barbacoa taco. We arrived on time for 12:15pm res and still had to wait about like 10-15 min outside on the deck (gorgeous view btw, with the water mill and pond). But it was funny to see them turning ppl away constantly if they were just coming as walk-ins. The hostess seated us and a server came over to let us know the daily food and drink specials. The brunch tower seemed very intriguing to me but it sounded like A LOT of food and my girlfriend (even though hangry at that point) knew she wasnt gonna be able to help me tackle even half the tower haha. So we settled on duck confit pancakes and huevos rancheros. Ok, so the food comes out and Im pleasantly surprised with the portion sizes. The plates were quite hefty and you get a good amount of food (which I appreciate cuz Ive got a big appetite). The presentation looked fantastic. Looked like michelin star plating. The duck had crispy skin, succulent meat (they actually give you a whole duck leg whereas Ive been to restos that literally give you the drumstick and thats it). The pancakes were moist and fluffy. The rancheros were packed with goodies. I liked the fact that they actually cooked the tater tots well (crispy on the outside and tender on the inside). A lot of places screw up the potatoes. It also comes with a lot of egg and pulled pork which we really appreciated. To top it all off, we had some fresh mango peach juice to wash it all down. Yum! Its cracking up into expensive territory for brunch for sure (but Ive seen way more egregious pricing downtown). I still rate it a 5 star experience. Great food, great presentation, great service and still borderline ok on the prices. Probably the best brunch spot in the markham area if you ask me. It tops Alchemy Coffee brunch for me (which is literally in the same neighbourhood). I know they host weddings and special events too and Im kinda curious. I might inquire about it sometime.

We heard a lot of good things about this place and decided to try their brunch menu. We ordered the brunch tower, shrimp toast, duck confit pancake, and a side of pancakes. For drinks I tried the ice latte. The tower was okay, I thought the lamb sausage was too dry. The pancakes were soft and fluffy. The star of the show was definitely the shrimp toast! It was crispy and delicious. Duck confit was alright, some parts of the duck was on the dryer side. The skin was very crispy and the duck paired nicely with the sauce. The ice latte was nothing special, but for $5 it was decent. Staff were very friendly and efficient. I went on a Tuesday morning, so it wasn t too busy. I did make reservations though as it was recommended by others. Overall everything was great, I would come back to try their dinner menu.

Lovely place for brunch, we made a reservation at noon for 4 people. Ordered famous brunch tower, burger, and salad. Everything was delicious. It was my second visit to this place and didn t get disappointed :) A server was very attentive, came to our table many times to check upon us, to fill coffees etc. we definitely enjoyed our time there.

The menu has a variety of options and the pancakes and the breakfast tower for 2 was great.

Wasn t very hungry, so I have ordered mainly appetisers. Tasting of the appetisers was nice, the house white was not to my liking, I will probably order something else to try next time. The server that I had was probably very new, always came at the wrong time (had to look for someone else twice to help) , removing plate when the food wasn t complete and didn t bring a new plate back, never refilled water, looked surprise when I ordered more food. The reason I gave it a 4 star (instead of a 1 star) was because the other server that helped was very knowledgeable and charming. Overall, I will visit that restaurant again, but will ask to sit at a different section of i happened to be sat at the same section with the new server.

Came here for brunch. Good variety on the menu and appropriately priced. Burger and shakshouka were cooked well and tasty. Fries had a nice crisp on the outside and salted well. They also have a nice dinner menu that I ve had multiple times before. Recommend if you visit unionville in Markham. Free parking in the area.

The 1st time was a great experience but the last time things completely changed. For example Same dish sirloin, it was perfectly cook medium rare and cut in piece. But this time, half of the steak was almost cooked well done and server said they don t cut the food but weeks ago they were served in slices and the mussel in pork dish barely had any meat. not sure if they changed their management team .

Im a huge fan of this place! Ive been here for dinner and brunch multiple times. The dinner is quite good but I have to say its their brunch that really stands out. Its a few dollars pricier than an average brunch but the menu items are so unique! They specialize in Asian twists on typical brunch items and everything Ive tried so far has been DELICIOUS. The ingredients are fresh and theyre put together in very interesting and unique ways. Probably my favourite brunch spot in Markham. Im hoping to keep going back until I have tried every item on their brunch menu!

Their brunch towers are pretty good even though the prices have gone up. Their pancake flavors are different everyday and the waiter will let you what their flavor of the day is before you place your order.

Again, had a group meal / dinner here many months ago - and never had a chance to write a review - so here it is! I hate to use the word Pretentious - but I have to use it based on the food we were served (More on this later!). Dont get me wrong - the SERVICE was extremely good! The staff was incredibly friendly, patient and accommodating - especially for our toddler who, in the end, did get her Raspberry dessert - THANK YOU! :D. The problem was in the food / dinner menu (AT THAT TIME - I see the menu has been changed since our visit - so I will definitely reconsider writing a better review upon a new visit). The food is pricey for what youre getting - but that is to be expected given this part of town. :) Where to begin? The food served at the time was pretentious - in their effort to have fusion food (Again, looks like the menu has CHANGED since that last visit). They simply tried too hard to impress our group. The duck was too tough at the time - and dry. The beef was good tasting, but simply not enough for even one persons portion. Every other food item was kind of small in proportion for the good tasting dishes / but TOO MUCH in proportion for the unique/bad tasting dishes. We also encountered a weird / paranormal event with the wine bottles that mysteriously flung off the shelf for absolutely no reason. :D Both our group and the staff were surprised at that paranormal event...

The brunch food is excellent, everything tasted so good and all the flavours complemented each other. Dinner food was not as good so that s why I m only giving 4 stars. But if you just come for brunch def a must try

The service and atmosphere were great, the latte that I had was delicious; but what I ordered for brunch was quite disappointing. I ordered their Avocado Toast, which had a Japanese style twist to it. Avocado with a ramen egg, seaweed salad, torched salmon sashimi and nori flakes on top, all on a sesame seed bagel. I could see what they were going for, but it just wasn t a good flavour combo at all. And it honestly left me feeling a little queasy afterwards. The avocado toast was a 0/10 for me, I really don t recommend it. But my friend really enjoyed their eggs and toast, so if you check this place out definitely stick with the safe options.

It was a great experience. Staff were very friendly and went beyond expectation. The shareable appetizers were the best especially the Brussels sprouts. The main Risotto was disappointing tho as it was too watery and mushy/overcooked. Will come back for brunch.

Went to this very clean and classy restaurant a few weeks ago with friends, was not disappointed. Dishes are unique, unlike anything I ve had else where in Markham. Food was very good I had the spaghetti bolognese, my friends got the truffle fries and the community burger. We enjoyed our meals and the service was excellent. Servers were very kind and generous with water refills! Expensive but worth it! Definitely coming back!

First time coming here for a friends birthday dinner. Expected a high quality experience but was quickly underwhelmed by the experience. On the positive side the waiting staff filled up our waters on a frequent enough basis, the appetizer I got was fairly good as well, strongly recommend the baria spring rolls. Other than that the rest of the experience was quite bad. 1) It took 1h to get our starters then another 30min to receiver our mains. 2) The food came out on an inconsistent basis. Someone would get their starter then it would be a solid 10min until another got theirs. 3) The food was way over cooked. Didn t want to complain because it would just take a whole lot of time before a replacement came. Overall was not a great experience, had to scarf down our food because it came out so late and had to make our next venue. Also note that we were the only ones in the restaurant. Perhaps they were understaffed in the kitchen but I wouldn t use that as an excuse for burnt burgers all around.

I love going here when I am in the neighbourhood. Its one of the only places I can get a vegan brunch, and I appreciate the place for being so inclusive. The Cereal Crunch French Toast is my go-to. So beautiful to look at and even better in my belly!

My friend and I had a lovely time for brunch! It was a lovely place to have a chat. The energy felt amazing. We wanted to have something light and refreshing and the restaurant gladly accommodated. Looking forward to coming back here with my husband and brothers! Parking: The parking is a little bit challenging if you have larger vehicles but you can certainly find parking conveniently near the restaurant.

What a great little gem in Markham! The breakfast tower is a must try and order when you are very hungry. Generous servings and you get a variety of stuff to try.

I love their breakfast menu!!! We picked a random selection for 6 people and was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. The staff is very good and accommodating. The place is senior friendly and wheelchair accessible. A great place for family gatherings in the heart of Unionville.

If you have an allergy please refrain from going here. My first time attending this restaurant was horrific. I notified the waitress that I had a severe nut allergy prior to ordering and was assured that the dishes my table had picked out do not contain any nuts. When the appetizers my table ordered had arrived, after eating the first dish I experienced a severe allergy. The waitress and staff assured that there were no nuts in the dishes and kept defending their statement. Upon further inspection it was clear and very noticeable that there were pine nuts in the dish. I am very disappointed in the staff at NextDoor, it seemed that they were not very educated about their menu and neither relayed that I had a nut allergy to the cooking staff. Allergies of any kind should be taken very seriously.

We ve been here on a few occasions. The food and vibe here are good, so it s a pretty safe bet. It s a restaurant that I would recommend during the warmer seasons. It could be a challenge to find parking.

I really like this restaurant. Sometimes I think being health conscious many can take it over the top with the fried and aioli when if the food is good quality you dont need all the extra. Not all agree! :) But, you can get a great meal here, different types of food and an innovative menu. I was there with a group and didnt want to go around snapping pictures but I had the Chirashi with salmon, tuna and sea urchin (omitted the aioli). The chopped salad was quite the sight (and didnt look like a salad!) Next to me was the seafood pasta, full of seafood. Really enjoyed the night. I have 2 photos to share! The truffle fries and truffle Guac a huge hit at the table too. Dietary restrictions: Asked to remove Aioli and they were careful not to cross with anything that had cashews - tree nut allergy. Noted it when they served it also. Parking: NA

We came to NextDoor Restaurant for brunch. We had a reservation for six and our table was ready shortly after we arrived. We ordered a couple of brunch towers and two individual dishes, along with a round of cocktails. The food was unquestionably delicious and the portions were satisfying. The cocktails, on the other hand, weren t as exciting so, even though there was nothing particularly wrong with them, no one went for a second. The staff were very friendly and diligent. They do get busy and, after our time was up, we were kindly requested to release the table. Overall, we had a very good experience.

Beautiful restaurant, service is incredible and friendly. The food is alright, I find thr flavors are a hit or a miss, the pasta is on the sweet side, the mixed salad had more meat in it than veggies, it felt like a mixed chicken salad. If you are going for a drink and a snack then great, the food is not for me.

These brunch items all tasted good, theyve turned regular brunch with a twist. Our server, Ethan, was on point. Service was decent. Decor is contemporary. Restaurant is located inside an old planing mill. Parking: Free parking lot or nearby on street parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Need to call restaurant to open rear doors for wheelchair access. As front doors have steps.

We ordered the brunch tower for 2. It s a little overpriced for what you get but very pretty for photos and tastes pretty good. The bread was rock solid and could not be eaten though. Every time we get the brunch tower, it s always a little different. The pancakes are always changing, which is a nice touch. What we ve noticed is sometimes we barely get any Brussels sprouts, and sometimes we get a lot. One time they completely forgot to give us a lamb sausage. Always inconsistencies. Also, if you end up sitting in the middle of the restaurant, it is so loud and uncomfortable, you can t have a decent conversation with your dining partner. Everyone is SCREAMING on top of each other and the sound bounces in a way that you get a headache, it s so bad. When we sat at the front corner, it wasn t bad at all. We couldn t enjoy ourselves the last time we went because of how loud and squished we were between everyone in the middle row.

Heard a lot about this place and it is indeed a place worthy going and going again. It was quite busy, so we sit in the lounge and soon the lounge was full. I would definitely recommend for making a reservation for this place.

Lovely weekend brunch spot with great staff. Our food was amazing, Matcha latte couldve been better Parking is a little tricky. There are spot however limited and youll likely have to wait for a spot during peak hours. About $75 for brunch for 2 after tax/tip.

I ve been here a couple of times and the quality has changed. We ordered the breakfast tower and the French toast. The towers pancake was really bad. The pancake was not soft and fluffy but really doughy. French toast was good. The cafe latte was good as well.

Elegant Space with Exceptional Food ! We have been eating at Next Door and their sister restaurant Smask Kitchen and Bar for years. Since we are only a twenty-minute walk from Unionville Main Street we dine at Next Door every few months. On our last visit, we sampled some favourites and some items from the seasonal menu which changes every few months. The food was perfect and the service impeccable and this is the reason why we keep coming back. Kid-friendliness: The restaurant is great for kids but Kids Menu choices are limted, however the staff is always helpful and makes modifcations if they can.

Experience was just lovely. Had brunch with my wife on our anniversary and had a wonderful time. The food was great and the service was impeccable! I called to let them know we were going to be late (30 mins) for our reservation and I was surprised they held our table for us. I highly recommend this restaurant and we ll definitely return.

Food is overall tasty and every dish we tried was very beautifully plated, albeit on the pricier end. Drink wise, the matcha latte I tried was on the weaker end in terms of matcha flavour. Portion sizes are fair to small for its price point, depending on the dish. Atmosphere and decor is very nice here, this is a great spot for a group gathering or date setting. At our latest visit, we had to wait for our table for around 10-15 minutes despite having a reservation, which was a bit disappointing. Upon recognizing this, the restaurant proactively offered a bowl of fries for us to nibble on as soon as we sat down, which was kind of them. After sitting down service was decent. Would visit again, but I would strongly suggest being more strict with seating time limits to keep to reservation bookings.

My husband and I had Saturday brunch here and loved it. The brunch tower is truly unique, tasty and well worth the money. The flavours were delectable and varied with brussels sprouts added to the potatoes, some shakshuka for spice, peaches and cream pancakes for sweetness. There was enough for 3 people at least due to the amount of meat/ bacon and sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms, toasted baguette and scrambled eggs. It was delicious! Service was equally excellent - David greeted us at the door and was informative and friendly and Kelvin served us making the experience memorable and special. The meal including cocktails and fresh juices and coffee came to $110 for 2 people with leftovers. They serve brunch daily until 2:45 and we would definitely return. They recommend reservations on the weekend. We walked in at 2:00 and were able to get a table but next time we will reserve. The ambiance was lovely inside with festive music and decorations and parking was onsite and free. Staff are so amazing here and everyone was attentive and friendly. We will definitely be returning to Next Door. A wonderful dining experience. Parking: Lots of parking on side of the building.

Came here for brunch with my partner and it was absolutely phenomenal. We got the brunch tower for two, and it was more than enough for the both of us. It included all brunch cravings, savoury and sweet. The perfect date spot if you re around Unionville.

Service was good. Atmosphere was nice. The food was mediocre. Ordered the grill salmon with risotto entry for my 5 year old - the cauliflower was sour, risotto was too soggy and the fish was so small. He was hungry after we went home. I ordered the lamb which was tasted good. The rest of the vegetables were super salty to the point I couldn t even share with the kids. The NY striploin was good too but it definitely was not 6oz as written. Overall $200 of food and everyone was hungry when they got home.

Went for the first time today on someones recommendation after making an on-line booking for 12:15. Arrived a little bit early and initially reservation could not be found because hostess struggled with my 5 letter first name but got sorted quickly. After being seated and receiving food, waiter advised the that we had to leave by 1:30. I asked the waiter to confirm if that was correct and were advised that it was even though confirmation email said that seating was for an hour and 45 minutes but we were told we had to leave after an hour and 15 minutes to allow turnover for the next booking. Very rushed and did not have a chance to enjoy as we were reminded we could only stay till 1:30. Would never have made the booking or gone if I had known we would be so rushed. Wont be going again and ruined the first-time dining experience. Also noted that other tables that were seated before we arrived were still there when we left. Called the restaurant when I returned home and was told by a manager that there was nothing they could do to change my experience and that they would make sure it doesnt happen again and did confirm that we may have been asked to leave earlier to facilitate later bookings. Not an acceptable response. 0 star experience.

Been here many times! Food is consistent and good, found the value to be a little lacking when the brunch tower charges over 60 after tax and tip and you get a tomato thats been cut in half and grilled lol. They could add a bit more flair or complexity to the tower but overall good

NextDoor does brunch right. This was probably one of the most innovative and unique brunch menus Ive seen in Toronto. With items like the duck confit pancakes, aburi salmon soba noodles, and okonomiyaki burger, theyve really tried to bring a different spin to your meal. And of course, the brunch tower really is a magnificent spread sure to impress your guests. The taste of all the dishes was good and the portions were decent, depending on the dish. The prices are overall pretty high, but for brunch youre typically paying a premium anyways. Every dish will be over $20, but you should be full. The brunch tower ($58/$110) does seem a bit overpriced if you break down each item, since the majority of the tower is potatoes and mushrooms. But you are also paying for the visual experience. We split the 2 person tower (and 1 entree each) with 4 people, and we could barely touch it with how full we were. As for dishes, I especially recommend the shakshuka ($20) which I enjoyed so much. The flavors were amazing and the bread they provide is a great pairing. I was a bit disappointed that they charged me $4 for an additional 2 pieces of bread that I asked for, especially when my dish requires bread as a pairing. They offered to take it off my bill which was appreciated but I paid for it anyways since I did get the bread.

Too pricey! We ordered the salmon and lamb, they both came in very small size, its more like a appetizer.The vegetables were very salty and poorly cooked. We paid $100 and go home hungry. My husband has to get a burger on our way home. Atmosphere and services was all right. Overall experience: not worth the money.

Very unique menu. I have to say the items on the menu are different than most restaurants, but the risk is worth it, as the food is devine. I came for lunch and had the okonomiyaki burger, which was something I have never heard of before. But the flavours worked. It had pancakes as the bun, which were nice and fluffy. I would say it was a little difficult to eat, and I didn t even try to pick it up, but it was definitely tasty. I had a reservation for lunch on a Tuesday, and I don t know if it was needed.

Worth it.
