This place is the best fine dining restaurant you will ever come across in the GTA. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves steak and seafood. The food was delicious, very friendly and caring service. The atmosphere is very classy and the Christmas decorations in the restaurant was a bonus nice touch to it. If I had the option, I would rate this restaurant a 6 star because of how outstanding and remarkable this restaurant is

Food is awesome, that said very disappointed with our server. My colleague who invited me and paid the bill was accosted by the server (on older gentleman) on why he didn t tip enough. He actual went right up to me and showed him the bill, and whole situation become very awkward. Guests should be held accountable because they didn t enough; that s a personal choice.

Excellent food and service. With every dish served the remark was how good the food tasted and after finishing the dish, how it was the best everyone has experienced. High lights were: Oyster Rockefeller; Slow cooked prime rib; and the pan seared sole almomdine. Relative to the competition, e.g. Ruth Chris, this was noticably better and slightly less expensive. Certainly worth a return visit.

Always a pleasure to dine here. The servers make us feel special, the performance when they prepare the food infront of us adds to the atmosphere, and the food is excellent.

I was pregnant and craved nice prime rib so I called Peter s and made reservations. He asked if there were children and asked what age and I answered him 6 and he said that we just made the cut because they do not accept children under that age. We proceeded to the restaurant and went inside. My daughter was curiously looking at the displays in the front as I told them we have reservations. The owner looked around the corner at my daughter and said that they could not seat us. I was confused at first and wasn t sure what he meant. He then continued to say they could not accept us because of my daughter and said look at her . He said some children are very well behaved and continued to insult my child in front of her. All she was doing was looking around in the front. He said his restaurant was for fine dining and not for children like her. I have no problem with a restaurant not accepting children and enjoy a nice quiet meal without them sometimes, but don t say you accept and refuse at the door. If you are so concerned about how children behave then don t say you accept them in the first place as he confirmed the reservation on the phone. Children are naturally curious and will look around at interesting things. She was not behaving badly in any way. I was pregnant and hungry and my reservations that were confirmed were refused at the door. In addition he insulted my child in front of her. Now each time we drive by the restaurant my daughter always remembers that the man there didn t let us in.

Exceptional prime rib! Best Ive ever had.

Had prime rib, Caesar salad , lobster bisque soup. All out of expectations. Waiters and host are very friendly.

This iconic establishment did not disappoint. Reservations are a must for this place, especially on the weekends. House rules also state that no children under 5 are allowed at this establishment and that is that. So without further ado, from the minute you walk in you are greeted by the friendly and courteous restaurant staff. Owner Tom will usually greet you and your party at the door and take you to your table and seats. This restaurant that has a very old school vibe and atmosphere. I personally love the autographed photos on the lower level on the way to the rest rooms of all the guests past and present who have visited this place. We started the evening with Riesling White Wine from Germany and then the famous table side Caesar salad. Wow, the table side Caesar for me and two friends was amazing, it was expertly made by an older/wiser gentlemen of the wait staff. The dressing was thick, creamy, delicious with a strong taste of Garlic to every bite. We all ordered Prime Rib Peters cut 24oz medium rare. All I can say is WOW! It was amazing, delicious, melt in your mouth the best Prime Rib I ever had in my life so far. I also got mashed potatoes as my side and it was also the best mashed potatoes I have had in my life so far. This amazing evening was finished with a complementary slice of birthday cake for me along with birthday wishes to me from the exquisite wait staff. This amazing one of a kind life changing dining experience has truly left me speechless. Thank you Tom, the chefs, and everybody at Peters fine dining for an unforgettable dining experience in Markham.

Excellent food and service!

This place does a great job creating a classic fine dining experience with its ambiance and dishes. The servers were very friendly and did a great job preparing tableside dishes. The portion size of the food is quite large so be mindful when ordering to make sure youre able to finish everything.

My wife and I really enjoyed the food and drink. I highly recommend you stop in and try this place. Well definitely be back!

dine for b-day. had three appetizers; signature Caesar salad the dressing is a bit heavy on garlic otherwise very good ; the escargot is average just like the frozen ones; and the crab cake is very disappointing that using crab sticks not real meat: the wine selections r great and we pick the good red one for our main dish- 24 oz prime ribs; i m sure it s 30 oz with the rib bone: excellent cuts and perfectly MR. no complaint on this and 5 stars. make sure the chef not cutting for you whatever how many are sharing; ( keep it juicy and bigger portion) excellent service very detail and caring worth for 20% gratuity and in deed the bday dessert is simple and delightful sure will return for other dish (main)

Shout out to Tom and his fantastic crew. Benny and Frank made this a fantastic experience. This is a dining at its best. This was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. From the smoked Salmon appetizer and the table made ceasar salad , to the seafood platter for two...this was amazing. Anniversary wishes , complimentary dessert and roses from Tom , Benny and Frank, made this a truly special meal. Do yourself a favour and avail yourself of this truly unique dining experience. So glad we did.

Nothing pleases more than good food. From appetizers to dessert, the quality of ingredients and excellence in preparation combine to ensure the perfect experience. Jumbo shrimp, lamb chops, chateaubriand, everything a special delight. I want to be back.

I consider fine dining to be where every paying customer is treated with respect and professionalism, regardless of their choices and preferences when it comes to how they eat their food. Perhaps this place is too old school and rigid for me, but it seems that the people who work and run this establishment have very strict and defined ideas of how they think their food should be eaten i.e. audible comments and contempt/judgement about sharing plates, takeaway, etc. For true fine dining service, go to Toronto. It doesn t exist here in Markham unless it s omakase.

Probably wont be returning. Scallops were overdone, however steak was cooked perfectly. They really need to open the windows and air out this place... very stuffy + foul odour from the kitchen/bathroom area... unappetizing when youre trying to enjoy your meal. As mentioned in other reviews, the man that picks up the phone could learn a thing or two about etiquette! Very different from the kind waiters we experienced.

The elderly man with long hair at the front desk was very impolite. Dont go there.

Great experience

Tom and the gang at Peters know how to create a memorable dining experience. The steak was outstanding, attention to detail was terrific, and roses for the ladies at the end of the meal was a classy, elegant touch. A++ experience.

TL;DR A Great One-Time Experience with Impeccable Service and Atmosphere The service and atmosphere were impeccable. Although it got a bit loud at times due to people talking over each other, it wasnt overwhelming. The service was the best Ive ever received, with small touches of humor that enhanced the experience. Wine: I must admit, I dont know much about wine regions and specific vineyards. I can distinguish between light vs. full-bodied and dry vs. non-dry wines. My fault for only specifying a light-bodied wine without mentioning I wanted it dry or not(prefer not) as it was too dry for me. For context, Im biased towards whites over reds. Food: We ordered the tomahawk steak and the seafood platter. Unfortunately, the tomahawk cut wasnt perfect. While the steak was cooked a perfect medium rare, I expected every cut to be free of tendons and excess fat. About 1/10 of the steak had fat, and 1/10 had tendons. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I wouldve opted for a porterhouse if I had known. The presentation of the tomahawk was impressive, though, adding a visual appeal to the dish. The seafood platter included scallops, king crab, lobster tail, and shrimp. Unfortunately, the shrimp was overly salty, which made the scallops taste bland by comparison. The king crab and lobster tail, however, were cooked to perfection and were the highlights of the platter. Ambiance: The restaurants decor was elegant and created a welcoming atmosphere. Despite the occasional loud chatter, the environment felt lively and enjoyable. Conclusion: While the food wasnt perfect, the impeccable service and enjoyable atmosphere made it a memorable one-time experience. The small issues with the dishes might not deter me from recommending the restaurant for its overall quality and excellent service.

Excellent service and an exquisite dining atmosphere.

I really like old school steak houses. But this one falls behind other old school ones in terms of service and food quality. Steak is underwhelming, fish overcooked, tableside Crepes Suzette where crepes were pre-made. I think with some product knowledge, table side training and better ingredients, this place could be one of the best in town. The decor is vintage and just fine. Waiters could really use some tailoring on their suits, but this is just my preference.

Amazing place.. Cozy, family style service, amazing food. The filet mignon was perfect. Garlic bread, like I never had before. The Cesar salad dressing was made in front of us by hand.

This is my only place to go for prime rib. They also have the best Ceasar salad in town. Just had my birthday dinner at Pters with friends , wonderful nite!

Mine and my boyfriends first time here and it was absolutely wonderful! We had Benny as our server and Toula coming by to top us off on our drinks and bread/pickles. They were so sweet and such a pleasure. Benny was really funny and so nice. We were celebrating my boyfriends 31st birthday. We got the Caesar salad made by Benny and oh boy, it was so good. So delicious! probably the best caesar salad weve ever had LOL. My boyfriend and I have been on the hunt for good steak for some time now and Im pretty sure we found it with Peters. He got the Porterhouse and I got the 12oz striploin. The steaks were juicy, smokey, tender & cooked to our liking. 100% cravings satisfied. Absolutely made us melt as we devoured it. To end the night, we got a little red velvet cake for his birthday. We highly recommend this restaurant! The price youre paying when you get amazing service, delicious food and a cozy atmosphere - Is 100% worth it. Well be coming back for sure.

Food was very good, and the best prime rib Ive ever eaten. The staff there are a bit strange, and for a restaurant that has a certain level of quality, they need to teach them how to interact with customers.

I had sooooo perfect time in there!!!

On May 6, 2024, my family and I celebrated a birthday but were greatly disappointed with our experience. We brought two expensive wines (a 2010 Saint Julien and a 2016 Paulliac), yet your staff poured the second wine into glasses still containing the first. Moreover, our glasses were filled excessively beyond half the glass. Surprisingly, the senior staff failed to notice these mistakes. These basic errors shocked us, particularly given our long history of dining at your establishment. Furthermore, despite being informed that the corkage fee was $40, we were charged over $65/ bottle without any prior notification. While we chose not to address this immediately in order to salvage the remainder of our evening, these unprofessional matters still trouble us.

I would give zero stars if I could; I had explicitly called and asked about a certain allergy I was assured they could accommodate. I was never told garlic would be on the floor as they prepare it in front of customers. I am deathly allergic and I had explained that I cannot be near fresh garlic specifically if it s raw, it was. The ventilation is absolutely terrible; all I could smell was the food that REEKED of the terrible garlic smell which makes me sick. It was my birthday; it made me sick and I had to leave. My friends too all said the smell was way too strong and they couldn t breathe. I walked outside so I wouldn t get sick while inside; the culprit was the Caesar salad made table side; I was able to point out what it was by walking away from it. I would ve appreciated the staff offering a table farther from others or even opening a window! The worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant ever if you are allergic stay away. I do not recommend. Update: the owner reached out to me saying next time you make a review please be more specific we do not have garlic on the floor our floors are very clean vacuumed every day so be careful how you describe . He may be the only person in this industry who didn t understand that on the floor means food prepared table side . He asked me to leave several times as I was trying to figure out where to go and sent me a text saying Ps. This establishment has been here before you were born and it s going to continue. nice, now we threaten customers and make fun of them too.

Had my bday dinner here once again and would you happen to know it ... ITS STILL ONE OF MY FAVE RESTOS IN THE GTA. I came with my family, my bros wife and my gf. Yes the price is mighty hefty, but for special occasions this is one of my personal recommendations. I made the rookie mistake of downing like 10 slices of that delicious, complimentary garlic bread. Its so buttery and so garlicky. OMG. Ive narrowed down the scallops and oysters rockefeller as the best appetizers in my opinion (having tried most of them at some point). We also ordered a french onion soup to try for the first time. If Im being honest, the soup was a lil too rich for us. In fact, it didnt really have enough onion taste (although the onions were cooked well and soft). It was so rich to the point that we thought it tasted more like beef gravy rather than soup. Halfway through the soup, my bro and I decided to use it as au jus dipping sauce for our beef LOL. The REAL showstopper is the ceasar salad though. Done tableside with all the works (egg yolk, anchovies, some tabasco, the good stuff). The server spends like 10-15 mins making it from scratch. I would say the salad is a MUST ORDER for anyone coming to Peters (you might be surprised at the price but TRUST ME its THAT delicious). I still opted for my usual, 24 oz ribeye cooked medium rare. Aged for at least 45 days. Perfect edge to edge doneness. Super tender meat. Bone-in. OUUUUUH YEEEE BABY. I have yet to find a better steak in the GTA. I also love that they have an additional server who comes around and asks you how much sour cream and butter you want on your potato. This time, my gf opted to try the 6 oz center cut beef tenderloin. I thought the blue cheese would be too salty on top but the fig sauce was sweet and tangy so it actually balanced out the saltiness of the blue cheese really well! I got myself a Planters Punch cocktail and it was ok. I think I much prefer the whisky sour they made for me on my last visit. It was much more flavourful. For dessert, on top of my free birthday slice, we decide to try the crepes suzette instead of our usual bananas foster. I must admit, while it was made very well and the tableside show was awesome, it was not my cup of tea. I think we will stick to the bananas foster from now on haha. I would be remiss if I didnt shoutout the amazing service from Elias throughout the night. Nice gentleman and really funny guy. Had jokes for days. The rest of the staff also attended to us throughout the night. Topped off our water frequently. It may have increased its prices slightly because of inflation, but my god am I SO GLAD that they havent dropped their legendary standards. Great food combined with great service. Im pretty sure they recognize me now whenever January rolls around for my bday LOL.

Interesting place with classic atmosphere. Food was nice, prime rib is the best no questions. But our server was on a mission to up-sale. When my son asked about onion rings as a side dish for his steak, he was given yes sure I can bring you onion rings. Which end-up as a separate dish for extra $16 on a bill. The menu has an item Vegetable plate. Ask about our special. When we asked the answer was - its vegetables, different vegetables. Let me bring it to you. Literally. And yes, choose backed potato over mashed, its uneatable.

Garlic bread was so light and tasty (got two baskets). We ordered the Petite Coquille st. Jacques for the appetizer & tomahawk steak for our main. My husband got the lobster tail as well. Everything was delicious and the service was amazing. Really love the crust on the steak. Mashed potatoes was flavorful and creamy and I usually add gravy but theirs didnt need it at all. We really went all out because it was our anniversary and we havent gone anywhere fancy or super nice in awhile. The servers and host really go the extra mile and it added so much to our experience. Everyone was on top of everything and so inviting and sweet. They offered us a slice of cake on the house and we were so full that we declined it but now, maybe I shouldve tried it haha. I even got a rose on our way out. We will definitely be back. :) Parking: Just a tight parking lot

Came here for Valentine s Day. We booked a month in advance and were only able to get a 8pm seating time. The atmosphere was great, they even gave me a rose. The table side Caesar salad is a must order. The first time I enjoy a salad like it was the main course! For the main, we order the 24oz dry aged porterhouse to share. There is an extra $10 sharing cost but it was well worth it. We ordered rare plus and it was cooked to perfection. My only complaint was the Creme brûlée, the top was not fully melted and it did not have crispy caramel top. The Creme was great but you can feel the sugar grains in your mouth. We told our server and he was kind enough to give us another but it had the same issue possibly because they use a coarser sugar.

Service was absolutely terrible, went here today for my birthday celebration in the private room and opted in for the open bar and simply asked for a magarita. Was immediately shut down by the waiter with a NO which i found super disrespectful. Expected the bare minimum for a steak house like this and recived horrible service. Will not be coming back ever.

Fantastic place for fine dining.

Food is great, I loved all the table side cooking dishes as well since you get some entertainment with the food. All the steaks I ve tried (tried almost every option on the menu) is superb. Only food item I did not like was the Caesar salad. The sauce is made table side and used to be amazing, but lately it s been tasting bitter. Atmosphere also amazing inside no doubt about it. The tables that are backed up against a wall is kind of tight for the seats against the wall. Service unfortunately has been poor. I must say it used to be really good, everything you would expect at a high end steakhouse for spending $100+ per person. But for our last 2 visits, the server looked very judgmental when we ordered our food. We asked to split 2 salads amongst 4 people (we do this every time we come here because we get other appetizers too so we can t finish a portion ourselves). They never had a problem with this before but last 2 time we visited the server looked disgusted that we were sharing, and made comments to other severs which we clearly can hear. This server isn t even new and I recognized him from other visits so I m not sure what s changed. Or if he has an opinion maybe he should say it to our face? Then my parents (in their 60s) proceeds to share an entree. My mom normally does not eat dinner so ordering appetizers for her is enough. So she did not order an entree herself and just had a few bites of my dad s steak sides (not even steak, this is how little she eats now). Again, we do this every time we come here and for some reason, the last time the server decided to charge her a fee for sharing entree? I understand this fee if a group of 4 comes in and just order 1 or 2 things. But we ordered MANY appetizers and drinks, plus other entrees and desserts. Our bill comes out to well over $100 per person every single visit. The server also did not mention this when we ordered and it came to us as a shock since we never got charged this before. Lastly, when we asked for the bill, the server came back and practically threw the bill folder at us on the table. It was super rude and ruined the dinner. And I definitely was very unhappy to spend so much and get this kind of experience. In my mind, when you re spending at this rate for dinner, not only are you there for delicious food (which is still priority for a restaurant), you re also paying for the above standard atmosphere and service. That s why I can only give it 3 stars and unfortunately would not go back again. I d rather spend my money somewhere else where I know they will treat me nicely.

The worst service ever, waiters are rude!!!!! Food reduced portions not worth the price. Charging high rate tips. And asking you to change to the high rate tips that they feel they deserve, even if you are not satisfied with the service. Won t go again.

Always great food - we have been going to Peters for years. You can enjoy your evening here (no one is rushing you out to get the next group in)

Food was amazing

Outstanding restaurant. It is too bad that not enough places like this exist. The food and service was impeccable. Too many restaurants, high end or not, when you glance at the staff to get attention they too often move in the opposite direction. Someone was always near by, always paying attention. The wine we thought we had ordered (Vivino identified it wrong) was not what they had but Tom suggested something that was close to what we thought it was and it was excellent. The table side Caesar is worth it. Weve had table side service like that before and they whip it up in a few minutes but they took their time and one of the best Caesars we have had. The Prime Rib was incredible. We had a concert to get to, so our only disappointment was having to kind of rush through dinner but we will be back our next time through Markham to take our time and enjoy it more.

One of the best fine dining restaurants in the city. The chateaubriand and bananas foster are always amazing and the table side Caesar is the best in the city. The service is always great and Tom always goes out of his way for everyone.

My wife and I recently dined at Peters Fine Dining, driven by our appreciation for classic steakhouses such as Caesars in Calgary, Barbarian in downtown Toronto, and Keens in New York City. To our surprise, Peters Fine Dining measured up to these renowned establishments. Choosing a Tuesday night for our visit, we easily found parking in the back. The captivating old-school decor upon entering immediately caught my eye. Welcomed by numerous hostesses and waiters, we were quickly seated, albeit with a friendly request to remove my hat. One notable critique is the inconsistency in delivering a fine dining service. For instance, being initially led by the bartender rather than the host felt somewhat casual, and our waiter missed the customary introduction. Despite a quiet evening, the absence of a full bar for sitting stood out. Nevertheless, the waitstaff, impeccably dressed in full suits, maintained a commendable level of formality. Our drink choices, including a martini, negroni, and diet coke, were well-crafted, but the prices $7 for the coke, $23 for the martini and $21 for the negroni felt a bit steep. Additionally, the martini could have been chilled more thoroughly, especially for the price. While the steak menu leaned toward the pricier side, the cost was justified by the quality of the steak, service, and the overall upscale dining experience. Opting for the 16 Oz ribeye cooked medium rare, I relished a perfectly prepared, 45-day-aged delight with well-seasoned vegetables. We also indulged in the prime rib, accompanied by mashed potatoes and horse radish, along with a complimentary side of garlic bread, albeit slightly overdone. For dessert, we shared a generously portioned, well-caramelized creme brulee. In summary, Peters Fine Dining positions itself as a higher-priced establishment, justifiable for the quality of its food, though the same cant be said for the drinks. While not flawless, it stands out as a distinctive institution in the northeast GTA, where fine dining options are limited. I would rate this place 4.4/5 stars. Parking: There is a reasonable amount of parking available behind the restaurant. You can access it off of Grandview Boulevard.

Okay, so I can t gush enough about this place. The restaurant itself was simply gorgeous. The rich, luxurious colours felt so extravagant while also so cozy. The service was next level, so much more than I expected. Tula and George made our experience incredible, we were blessed to be served by them. Tom (one of the owners and the man with the incredible hair) was so sweet and gave me a rose at the end. The food was phenomenal, every bit of it. We ordered the escargot which was unbelievably good and they didn t smother it in cheese which I was so grateful for. The Caesar salad was the best I ve ever had. Tula recommended the Steak Dianne and the Banana Foster for me. Both were out of this world. My significant other got the peppercorn steak and was in love with it. Everything was made table side and was terribly thrilling to watch. Big thank you again to everyone who made our night fantastic!

This place is a gem and an iconic steak house. Table side everything is worth the money and the staff is approachable from a fine dining to a laid back approach. And then there is the ownerTom. The Legend.

We came here last night for a family members birthday and I can easily say it was an amazing experience and meal. My steak was perfectly done, the veggies were perfectly seasoned, my Caesar salad was great, and the service of every single interaction was wonderful and extremely kind, and Peter was lovely. The garlic bread was to die for, perfectly garlicky. The outside of the building doesn t show that this place is fine dining, so it may go unnoticed. Don t sleep on it!

Food is fine but can not consider it as a fine dining place. My evening was ruined from the second I stepped into it , because of their bad reception skills and poor recovery service . I will suggest them stop addressing themselves as a fine dining restaurant bad experience with it. Very disappointed

Their service is great. The host greeted me by name. The food is good. People told me I shouldve had the caesar. They make it in front if you. Peters has been in Markham for a long time, so they know what they are doing. One big warning: They seem to lack parking so the overflow parks in the Mr. SUB next door... DONT DO THAT! They are going to start towing, so just a heads up. There is a strip mall across the street you can safely park there. (Cant blame Sub guy. He loses business when his customers cant park.) This is Fine Dining so you are going to pay it. If money is tight, you can feed 2 people at the Keg.

Terrible experience! I walked in to see if there s any availability for us to dine in the restaurant with a service dog. The older man who had long dark hair approached me with a very rude mannerism and asked if I was blind? I asked what he meant and he kept on repeating himself if I was blind and what type of disabilities I had. I told him that he was discriminating and rude. He then decided to welcome us which we decided to not give them any business. I suggest disabled people to think twice before even thinking of dining at this restaurant.

The food was AMAZING our waiter was so kind but the owner was so rude and disrespectful. We went with our kids my son who is 4 was being so good the owner constantly went up to him, lower your voice don t stand on the chair. He only stood on the chair the get out to go to the bathroom, he couldn t push the chairs back because he wasn t strong enough. My kids ordered their own food he turns to me and said yeah ok what do they really want. I then looked at him and said Exactly what they asked for 2 lamb dinners an order of fries with asparagus. Oh ok fine our bill was 1200.00 and my kids where treated so poorly. Our waiter kept apologizing to us and said please ignore him, yeah hard no when s he s the owner.

Peters was my favourite spot for a juicy, well-cooked steak minus the heavy price tag. I went out on Friday, January 20th 2023, with two of my very good friends, and everything went great until it was time to settle the bill. When the last of us were paying their cheque, they rounded up their credit card payment to the nearest $10 (with all intentions to leave a cash tip). When looking at the credit card receipt, the gentleman said, you tipped 5%, not even 5%. SUCH POOR TASTE from a senior person in the service industry. Unbelievable. Weve dined there countless times! We have recommended this place to friends and colleagues as well. We arent young children, so Im not sure why he insulted us that way. Im hoping it was not a racial reason, but whatever his motivation, it did not feel good. Im not sure about my other two friends, but I will not be going back. Very unfortunate because I liked the cozy lil steakhouse. #onebadapple

My wife and I went to Peters Fine Dining for our anniversary last year, we enjoyed the wonderful food and service. However, even after we ordered more than $200 worth of food they had the nerve to add a $10 charge because we shared and entree, along with appetisers and other menu items. While I can understand normally why they might need that, I would have thought they would use some discretion in our case (unless we need to spend hundreds more ?? This is offensive) I would go back just for the Cherries Jubilee, but after a magical evening we left the restaurant with a bad taste in our mouths from being treated in that way.

This is a belated review from many years ago but even today i still believe it deserves a 1-star review and heres why. My family of 5 came here to celebrate my dads birthday and our bill came to around 650$. At that time the norm was 10% tips. We ate through the whole meal with weird looks from the servers (all old white ppl while we were asians). Honestly the stares were rather disrespectful and with a hint of racism. But it was my parents birthday i tried to ignore it. After we paid the bill with 15% tips for such an uncomfortable evening, we walked out the door. Unbelievably two of the server came running out to us asking if were not gonna tipped. My brother had to go back into the store telling them we had tipped and after theu recounted our bill they realized it was their mistake. I was too angry at that point to know whether they apologized or not. I swear i will never come back to this place for their racist behavior.

The experience here was amazing. Service was extremely personable and the food was delicious. The interior was also very cozy. Looking forward to visiting this lovely establishment again.

Best old school steak house I have been to Im years...lobster bisque so good...everything sooo good we shared a platter of meat family style with 5 men containing a Tomahawk for 2, a bone in ribeye, and cheauto breo for 2 (sp?), Aged 45 days in house seasoned and cooked to perfection...a meat eaters paradise!

First time going to this restaurant. The service was amazing! Food were excellent. The ceasar salad is one of the best weve ever had. 100% satisfied and will definitely come again to try other things on the menu!

Was here for my birthday and this place is a classic old school steakhouse with proper service. You feel like a king eating here as the staff pays so much attention to details and quality of food. I love it here and will be back, often.

Peters Fine Dining came top from our google search of fine dining in Markham. We went there on a birthday occasion. The outside doesnt look that impressive but has hidden all the gems inside. The decor is classic with a great atmosphere. Service is exceptional and started from the time you step inside. We have ordered Center Cut Beef Tenderloin, Steak and Lobster, Escargots, and prime ribs as well. We, particularly like the Caesar Salad, are made fresh at your table side. The whole experience was very good until I found a piece of toothpick inside my tenderloin, which almost pinned on my tongue. I have shown it to the server, and he took it away without any further apology. Quite disappointed with this and do deter my original plan of coming back again.

Old style restaurant, they will come and perform certain dish prep directly at your table. The food is amazing, the service is quite good but the configuration of our table made it that the waiter constantly had to reach a cross me to get my companion plates which was a little unexpected. I still recommend this restaurant for an amazing experience! Definitely aim for the Ceasar salad and their steak, you will not be disappointed.

Very professional. Hidden gem and far different in a perfect way that stands out from other restaurants. Its so great to see something with a genuine old school feel and gives you such a unique experience. Your putting on your semi fancy clothes to go, date night style. Our dinner was a 5 star and the service was a 5 star! We left a $50 tip our meal was $200 for the 2 of us. Scallops and salmon with escargot and Ceasar salad. WARNING.. If you eat the Ceasars salad from there on in you will compare all Ceasars salads to this.. it was that good! The guy who greats you is a top notch gentleman. He took her coat and also gave her a rose at the end of the night. Thank you.

Family owned restaurant with mature staff. Food was amazing. Had the steak and lobster. Steak was cooked to perfection. Had smoked salmon as a starter which is great for two. If you are looking for a nice place to go for a special occassion then you cant go wrong here.

Amazing Caesar salad and table side service. Def a must try experience.

Was charged for sharing a dish $10 (with no mention there was a penalty for sharing) and was not advised sharing of meals was additional cost. This isnt an all you can eat restaurant. Was charged for $9 for a cup of hot water, but was not advised there was a charge for that (not even bottled). When we called to ask about these charges after, was told that this was a fine dining restaurant that they charge for beverages (hot water a beverage?). Ceasar salad was mixed in front of our party, but was not very fresh. We will not be coming back, very shady business who arent upfront with the costs they will add on. The experience did not match the fine dining this place advertises it as.

Love the service here! They always checked up on us and had great stories to tell. The steak was amazing and I couldn t have asked for any better. I would recommend this place to anyone, it is worth the drive and you won t be disappointed! Parking: There is limited parking behind the restaurant. But there is a plaza across the street with ample spots!!

Second time here. Great food and very attentive staff. Wonderful, classy, intimate atmosphere. Fellas if youre going here for a date itll run you anywhere from $200-300, with tip. Took my gf there for her birthday and we really enjoyed ourselves. The food is outstanding and the service is amazing. The people work there seemed really enjoyed what they were doing. Overall a great experience. They were also kind enough to give my gf a piece of cheesecake and flower for the occasion.

First time here last night. We had an amazing meal, the wine was fabulous and the staff especially our waiter Panos was EPIC! Hands down an incredible place to enjoy a nice meal, company and ambiance. Tom is a great leader! I will be visiting again.

My wife and I went to Peters only for the second time and loved it again. Very busy as it was mothets day weekend. Pano and Louie were on point and great at making sure we had what we needed. We loved the oysters the tomato blue cheese salad as our apps and the stuffed sole and greek ribs were done to perfection. Great service ! Great food!

From the moment I emailed Peters to make a reservation. I knew this place had high quality starting from the respectful response I received when I made our reservation. This location surprised me and is unquestionably a hidden gem. My husband and I enjoy checking out different steakhouses. This is now one of our top favourites. The proprietor of the eatery welcomes you when you arrive and he resembles Gene Simmons! Totally unexpected, on top of the outstanding cuisine, was our servers who performed a remarkable job of being attentive, pleasant, and personable to us and everyone around. The environment was great filled with positive energy. I adore the Dean Martin/Frank Sinatra style, with the respect, and old-school atmosphere- at the end all the ladies receive a rose. Its such a beautiful experience. We give this place a 10/10 My husband ordered: rib eye bone in which was huge! I got the lady cut prime rib. The dishes were bigger than we thought and prices are very fair that also surprised us. Absolutely 10/10 we are still in awe. Definitely will be back soon. Thank you for the amazing experience.

One of the nicest fine dining places in Markham. The staff make you feel important and keep an eye on you all night to ensure you are satisfied with the meal and service. Caesar salad at nice restaurants are my favourite and Peters does not disappoint with a delicious Caesar made table side.

Went to Peters for a family celebration and it did not disappoint! It is a fantastic classic steak house with great friendly service and amazing food. While it is not cheap, you get what you pay for.

Came here for an anniversary dinner. Tom was a terrific host and so pleasant and helpful. We had the Prime Rib and the Sirloin Steak. The food was hot and tasty. Everyone was really nice. I have been to many steak houses but the steak I had here was UNDENIABLY scrumptious, flavourful and melted in my mouth loved the classic feel and the ceaser table side salad . and of course Tom!!! He was very professional and welcoming !!! There was only one thing that could have been avoided - we left the table to grab something from the car and when we got back one of the servers had conveniently taken our wine bottle there may not have been anything left but that was not proper etiquette for a fine dining restaurant:) .Other than that, Highly Recommend!!!

The food was amazing . One of the hidden gems in Markham/ Scarborough. The portions were good also . The steak and salmon were really very well done and cooked properly. The mashed potatoes were soft and nice in the mouth . The veggies were good also . I feel there should be more light . I loved the rose that we got at the end . There are alot of options of meat. 9/10 overall a good experience .

My boyfriend and I went to celebrate my college graduation tonight. The moment we walked in we were warmly greeted by front of house staff. The food was absolutely incredible. My boyfriend had the prime rib which melted in your mouth. My striploin was to die for as well. Service was very fast. They brought us out a complimentary dessert as a congratulations and it was a strawberry shortcake, just delicious. The host also brought me a rose near the end of our visit and just about every staff member who crossed our path took the time to congratulate me on my achievements. All in all this was an experience I will never forget!! They definitely exceeded our expectations! :)

We were here few days ago for dinner with our family, place has the traditional steak house fine dinning vibe, and service was excellent, our server was funny and engaging. We are a large group and ordered different types of appetizers, steaks, prime rib roast, all were very tasty and full of flavours, including the hand prepared ceaser salad. Only thing was the appetizers we ordered french onion soup was very salty which makes the salad a bit tasteless. Desert was delicious, cream brûlée is definitely recommended. Price is decent compare to other fine dinning steak house in the GTA. Overall this is a lovely restaurant with old time steak house charm and very good food and service.

One of my favourite gems in Markham! Tried this for the first time with my parents a number of years ago.. and when I got my first paycheque, I knew I had to bring my parents here again. For my brother s birthday, had to bring him here. There have been a few visits between now and then.. but next week, I ll be celebrating my marriage and my birthday!! I m looking forward to bringing my husband with me for my next visit! There s a complimentary coat check upon arrival and the host is very kind and friendly. From my memory, the servers are older gentlemen in suits and it s the most endearing thing ever! I discovered my favourite wine (ripasso) from one of their wine pairing recommendations. The table side Caesar salad is the BEST I ve ever had and easily became a must have whenever I come!! I also rarely eat beef due to a skin condition, but I ll gladly make the exception and eat Peter s prime rib! Can t wait for my next visit!!! Oh and each lady gets a rose at the end of the meal definitely somewhere that makes me feel special and I look forward to

Brought the Mrs here for an anniversary dinner, and it did not disappoint. Initially given a very busy table, but upon request we were moved to a more secluded spot (service ). We had the chateaubriand for two and it was delicious as were the accompanying sides! Restaurant has a great vibe, worthy of a celebratory dinner .

Stepped Into a classy fine dining atmosphere. The men serving us made sure we were taken care of at every moment. We shared a tomihawk steak ( cooked to perfection ) had our salad made right in front of us, and the Spanish coffee was also phenomenally presented with a little fire .

If you want quality food with a made in front of you flare, Peters is the place to experience. This was my second visit and it was better than my last, my last was amazing and this was better to give you some context. The steak choice are all good as my family tried every choice they had and we shared them and it was delicious. The salad and deserts were made at the table and again surpasses expectations. It s a decent spot but pricey for what it is The food was good. A legit steakhouse that uses quality cuts and cooks it at the perfect done-ness. The sides were delicious. But, it IS pricey for what you get. Although good, the steak is not a very special grade and it comes with only 1 side, which is annoying when you re paying $80 for steak... The Cesar salad was the best I ve ever had but it wasn t made at our table side. Our table was by the stairs so I guess they didn t want to block the stairway? No one told us they were making our salad behind us the whole time and it really takes away from the table side experience when it s not by your table lol Lastly, although the service was good, we did not experience this top of the notch situation that it seems everyone else got? There was no rose for a lady and, we went for a birthday but they never bothered to stop by and chat with us so they didn t even know it was for a birthday Prob would not come back. There are better options for $100+ a person!

No child allowed, Its not mentioned on the website or over the phone when making a reservation. And the owner who stands at the door is very rude, as soon as he sees a child, he will ask you to leave. Not family friendly! Kid-friendliness: No child allowed !!!

Heres what you want to get here. Caesar salad to start (ask for extra garlic in the dressing). Steak Dianne, medium-rare, for your main (the sauce is to die for) with a baked potato as the side, a little bit of horse radish on the side, and maybe a plate of mushrooms for the table + one bottle of red wine for every 2 people. And finish off the night with a Monte Cristo coffee. Trust me, it will be the best meal of your life. Everything made fresh table-side and its absolute perfection. Doeesnt need anything else. The wait staff here are real pros. If you order what I order, they will actually be making most of your food.

Had a good experience dining here. Just to note that there is a surcharge of $10 for menu sharing. The food was good and the portion sizes were generous while the prices are definitely on the higher end. Service was also good, all the staff were very friendly. The restaurants atmosphere was very nice and intimate.

We had our Christmas gathering here and both food and service were amazing!!

What a fantastic experience. The staff is welcoming, friendly, courteous and will treat you like a regular/family. Our meal started off with some delicious garlic bread, olives and pickles. Next was a table side Caesar salad. If you are not a fan of garlic, then this might not be for you. But for us, it was perfect and my husband could have had even more lol! I ordered the lady cut prime rib and my husband the 16oz rib eye. It comes with your choice of potato, rice, or steamed vegetables. Meal ended with the cherries jubilee and wished I could order more to take home it was that good. Unfortunately, living in the moment results in lack of photos however I was able to capture a couple. I recommend you go experience it for yourself :)

Yesterday was my third visit to Peters and, definitely, the last one. I posted my previous review with 5 stars rating. However, this time my rating will be 1 start. This time around I felt we were not welcomed to the restaurant, and the service was completely different. We were 6 people celebrating our friend s BD. There were other tables celebrating BDs, and we noticed the special treatment. On the house cakes, congrats from the staff, and so on. I don t want to sound cheap here, our bill was $$$. But why our friend did not receive the similar attention? In addition, Tom was giving out complementary roses to the ladies in the restaurant. There were three ladies at our table not being treated the same way. Why? The quality of the food at any restaurant is important to relax and to enjoy the time. But so is the service. Tom, I know handing out the flowers is not on the menu and, probably, I cannot complain about it. But handing out roses to some Ladies and intentionally ignoring others, that something not a Gentleman would do.

So sad to see the service and food quality was down compare I visited before covid. This time the service was bad, kind of racism. especially one of the waiter who serve alcohol and the lady in the front. But the Ceaser is great, the waiter who serve our salad was ok. Prime rib was overcooked. I will not recommend this restaurant
