Been here multiple times (because of proximity), service is the worse. Utensils are not cleanly washed, cup plates, chopsticks, the food is so so, sometimes the wait is ridiculous. Told 20 minutes waited for 40 just got takeout. Dont order their bbq stuff either, they will sell you whatever leftover they have without telling you. The waitresss dont care about you, its not worth taking the chance with this place. There was also news about people getting mass food poisoning before, no idea how they got 4 stars.

My husband went to the store to buy dinner in person, but he didn t give us chopsticks, spoons and paper towels. OMG, we were in the hospital at the time! Fortunately, the doctors and nurses in the hospital are very good, otherwise we would have to eat with our hands. I don t want to be as disgusting as Indians

I admit I was a bit concerned when it was first opened, because how can bbq pork and the raw fish tank be put to next to each other? And then I heard the news about the food poison incident a few years ago.. But recent year or two, I have a change of heart, because: 1) the price is reasonable (less expensive than the one across the street, that ones service has gone worst recently...and I am being neutral about it) 2) the food quality is reasonable, not the best out there but it is good enough 3) the waitress are funny and friendly (may be I start to know them better) So thats why I give a 5 star... keep up the good work!

I ordered 2 BBQ combinations for lunch, the duck and chicken were almost all bones. The quality and quantity of food were disappointed.

The waiter had a very bad attitude. She was indifferent when talking to her. Her tone was very unfriendly and her voice was loud. She had a look of disgust on her face.

came to this place around 13:00 waited but 2 lineups after me came inside and have a seat. Was trying to check with waitress but she said nothing. When we finally got a table, the dish not even served with full of soy sauce. Some are still white and flavorless. Will never come back.

Their take out portions are getting smaller while prices keep going up. Very disappointed

Double rice. It s a regular soup, but if you don t ask her to serve it, she won t serve it to you. I asked Sister Qitai directly, so I knew first. Very very little air conditioning in summer

It serves authentic home-cooking Cantonese-style Chinese food that reminds me of the local restaurants in Hong Kong where I grew up. The foods are as good as it gets at a very reasonable prices. The quality and portion of the BBQ pork/chicken/duck (any combination) is most impressive

Good Chinese food is served at good price, staff are friendly.

Our go to for bbq pork and duck in rice.

The Roast Pork lacks salt or flavour. We ask for 2 bones worth of meat, but we got meat with no bone. Just tell me there are no more bones and I will skip it. Roast duck has decent flavour. BBQ pork is not memorable. Check out my other post on a better BBQ place. I want to support local businesses but please be better.

Went to support local business but was disappointed

The level of this restaurant s horrendous service attitude is beyond imagination. I walked in at 12:00 PM, and the restaurant wasnt really busy at all. I saw some waitresses, but only one approached me with a lifeless tone, asking, One person? She then told me to take any seat, but her manner was very commanding and rude. After I chose a table, a middle-aged waitress came over and commanded me to move to a very small one-person seat without saying please, claiming it was a busy time, but there were only a few customers, and many seats were available. Her tone was harsh and commanding. I left immediately! This restaurant literally drives customers away. The following questions are what google asks with multiple choices; Did you dine in, take out, or get delivery? Answer: none, because of the horrendous service, I dare not dine in, take out, or even get any delivery! What did you get ? Answer: I got a horrendous service from waitresses! How much did you spend per person? Answer: $0.-

The price of Sihe dishes has increased to $70 after tax, and the portion size is still too small.

Very tasty food with reasonable prices, this place becomes a restaurant where we buy our dinner all the time!

Its alright for breakfast. HK milk tea is average. We tried the take out at night which is much better. Around $55 for 4 dishes with rice and soup. The size for the dishes are decent and great quality. Will certainly order again from them. Service could be a bit better but no complaints at all.

Food is relativity good but service is hit and miss. There is one server who is always rude and full of attitude.

One of my favorite Hong Kong- style Chinese restaurants. Great food for the right prices. They dont take reservations, and its a popular place.

Wait time is long. Called for takeout dinner and was told to pick up in 20mins but ended up waiting for another hour at the restaurant. The lady was trying to avoid me not to giving me my change.

Kept telling me my order was coming, left me and 6 kids waiting for 20+ minutes and asking 4 different servers for them to realize they forgot my order. Never going again, we used to order here weekly for 10 ppl, $110+ a week at least. Not anymore. Edit: one more thing, they didnt give us the soup for our noodles, seriously stay away from this place at all costs

Generous portion and reasonably priced

This is my Grandfathers favourite restaurant. We come here every time my Grandparents visit Canada. The food is generally flavourful, and the staff were tolerable. It is a great comfort food, and the dishes are overall very nostalgic and common. It is nothing special, but I appreciate the flavours.

Tonight I ordered a set menu for 2 people and a plate of seasonal beef fried noodles. It was a big dish, the noodles had crispy edges, the beef was juicy, and the cabbage sum was tender. My granddaughter ate two bowls without stopping, and she also ate the beef and cabbage. The set soup is also full of ingredients and delicious. The large dish of stir-fried fresh squid with cold melon is delicious, the cold melon is crispy, and the salt and pepper pork chop is soft and tender. It would be better if the oil temperature is slightly higher, which will absorb less DD oil. The attitude of the waiters is the best in the industry, the place is light and comfortable, and two more cold drinks cost $53 plus tax.

BBQ duck is great !

Yummy food, but severely shrinkinflationed. The half full takeout containers of more veggies than meat left my wallet and my stomach feeling empty and sad.

Both the preserved egg and lean meat porridge and lean meat soup are cooked with turkey meat. The boss doesnt care and saves money like this...

Food is great and the price is right

I saw many positive changes after new ownership over a year ago. Food menu and quality are good, the dining room improved a bit, QQB counter is a delightful upgrade. This place is great for family meal or eating alone. Recommended.

Have dined in and gotten takeout from here, and the food has never disappointed. The staff is friendly and the prices are really affordable.

The food quality is good and the fried noodles come out quickly. The roasted pork belly is excellent, the skin is crispy and the meat is smooth without being salty, and the seasoning is just right. Have been here several times and the quality remains the same every time.

Been eating here ever since this restaurant opened during the pandemic, and also before/after the infamous incident of summer 2022. Glad to see they have since recovered. Good quality Cantonese restaurant at competitive prices. The restaurant is a bit small, so you might have to wait for a table at busy times. They have sauces/condiments and hand sanitizer at every table, which should be standard in other restaurants too.

The quality of roast duck is above the standard

I started visiting after the infamous food poisoning incident. Surprisingly, the neighbour shows their love for the restaurant. Almost every lunch time its packed. Food is great, price is fairly reasonable within the neighbourhood. Traditional HK style milk tea . Service is significantly better compared to a typical HK cafe service standard.

Glad to visit this resilient restaurant. Their BBQ meat with rice is highly recommended. The Hong Kong style milk tea is silky, smooth and creamy. Impressive. The fried Taiwanese noodle with seafood also demonstrates abundant heat of wok. The attendants are also friendly. A star is withheld for the washroom.

Dont buy Japanese food. It feels like the big pot rice in the school cafeteria, not freshly fried, and the ribs are very stale and smell like a refrigerator.

It turns out that the cuisine does not include white rice.

The taste is acceptable, but I wont order it again. Cutting half a roast duck is more expensive, but most of the ducks gizzards were removed and the bones have to be returned. If you dont do business honestly, even the food will be useless. I wont know. Go again The experience is very bad

When we arrived we were seated immediately. The service was fast once we ordered. The food was delicious. The BBQ pork was tender and full of flavour. The Gai Lan was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The best Ive ever had. The garlic shrimp had just the right amount of garlic and were juicy. The bean curd with pork was also good. The chili in oil was perfectly spicy. We will definitely go back, and when we do I want to try the BBQ duck.

I had the worst customer service. Waitress can pretend not see me while I am standing there waiting to be served for a table. Eventually I saw 2 waitresses are cleaning one of the table, I had to invite myself to the table. Will never be back again.

Very unpalatable! Wont come here a second time! I dont understand how this place got a 4.0 rating. The roasted duck had a fishy smell, and there were only three small pieces of edible duck meat. The other pieces were filled with greasy duck skin and fat. The barbecued pork was hard and woody! Any barbecue restaurant Ive ever had is much, much better than this one! The quality of the rice was also very poor, it was cheap rice and very hard. The beef brisket was also very hard and hard to chew.

Aside from that food incident while back, things are much better now. Honestly, they still hold the Classic Chinese Restaurant mentality, where service is poor but food is great! Their rotisserie is awesome, the ChaSiu, Duck, and Roasted pork is all on par! And its real ChaSiu not the fake kind, IYKYK. Go try them out, brings back the OG vibes.

Stop by to grab some takeout got the entire family and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and super fast and friendly staff. Food was amazing well and loved all 4 dishes we ordered!

12 yuan for a plate of rice is no longer cheap! There are only 5 slices of beef in the Lianggua Beef Dishes Rice. Do you want to be so exaggerated? ! Buying the subway next door for 12 yuan is more cost-effective than this! The portions for takeout are much smaller than those for dine-in! Will not come again! What an exaggeration! I don t want to do neighborhood business at all!

The food was just ok. The service was terrible. They gave half the table tea and nothing to the others who joined later. We would have to flag down multiple waiters to get anything...even our bill to pay. Would not recommend unless you like to be ignored and like eating meh food

Cheap and good quality

Cant aspect much here. Tried to order a hai nan chicken rice thats was on the entrance Bill board. They said they dont make that dish anymore, they said it in a unapologetic voice. They should cross it off. Services are bad. Never going back. Msg stayed in my mouth the whole day until I go to bed. Disgusting.

Decent Chinese restaurant, many variety and price is reasonable

check your bill when u order 2 or 3 combine dishes and add the steam chicken. I will never go back to this restaurant. The staff is busy sweeping the floor and does not remove their gloves when we asked for refill of tea, Very Unhygenic.

Food is good, dinning area is clean, sevice is fine too, but the washroom is the worst, we went on early morning at 9ish, both men and women washroom are unacceptable, all the residual are dried up on the toilet bowl, after seeing that everything can taste bad.

The service was slow, the food was mediocre (the dishes were old, the chicken was poor, the pork chop was fatter than thin), the wait was long, and it was useless.

Soup used be full of the bowl and now just half of it. I smile when I talke to waitress very nicely and they give us a poker face. Also For the dishes Stew with Tiger Shrimp Vermicelli In Satay Sauce this is only normal shrimp not tiger shrimp For the dishes Curry Beef Brisket we barely get curry tasty

Food was very good. Good wok hay, but a bit too much salt in the dishes. Also, they use brand evaporated milk, instead of the traditional Black and White milk for their milk tea. Very good golden aftertaste to the milk tea. This alone makes me want to return next time.

Weve supported your restaurant since you reopened after 2022s accidental poisoning and while the food is generally good, what the hell have you guys done to your BBQ meat portions? Its incredibly frustrating and embarrassing when you open your take out box of BBQ duck and the meat is small thin pieces. You have mastered shrinkflation with this strategy and price increases. Disappointing, the say the least.

We came here for lunch. We tried the lunch bbq two types with rice and small veggies on the side. Large portion size and good value for money. Theres ample of outdoor parking too.
