I placed an order through DoorDash for a chicken string hopper koththu with extra omelette, along with one mutton roll and one fish roll. Unfortunately, one of the rolls was missing from the order, and the koththu didn’t have any chicken in it—not even a single piece. This is very disappointing. More attention needs to be given to the quality and accuracy of the food. I would not recommend this place.
Not at all satisfied. You charge 7.00 for 25 string hopes say rice flour but it is totally wheat flour. Matron kitty I asked mild you gave me very hot. No dinner for me
This Tamil restaurant is very, very dirty. I see a man clean the floor with the mop. We ordered plain dosa. The man goes to make the dosa without washing his hands! This is right in front of us. Imagine what takes place if you are no there and your food is made by these dirty workers. The food items are over priced. The curries are hit and miss. The fish cutlet is always a hit and miss as well. Never order their mutton roll. This place used to be very busy but now I hardly see people go there. Overall, A health inspection is mandatory at this place.
Wife has food poisoning (diarrhea) 5 times the next day after getting take out here. I really tried to like this place but I should have be suspicious with them keeping most dishes outside the chafing trays. Even the “hot food” wasn’t really being heated enough to keep food at a safe temperatures. Food is cold (lukewarm at best) when served. The food looks like it’s been left out all day and keeps getting reheated every day for a few days until it’s all sold. Check out my photos (not their marketing photos). Secondly, there is a communication barrier with servers over the 2 days I had visited. I persisted to order $6.49 curry special but I don’t know if the server wanted to push out his old food not selling but he ended up selling me more food I wanted and charged $12.xx plus tax. At that price I got 1 non veg and 4 veg on rice. But they didn’t even give me the salad advertised on the menu that’s suppose to come with the meal. I didn’t complain because I wanted to build a relationship with local businesses but after the fact with food poisoning, I have to write this. Disclosure: I do eat south Asian joints a lot even in hole in the wall places so my body can handle a lot just not here. I recommend folks go to Babu’s instead where they keep food hot.
Found a Indian Sri-Lankan cuisine takeout spot hidden in a small complex in Markham. They have variety of local Indian snacks and chips as well. We simply picked couples of dishes to go along with their brown rice. It is very special with soft and round texture. Their curry is flavorful - spicy yet delicious. The spring rolls are very crispy and delicious. The food needs to be reheated at home as it cools down quickly.
Amazing food. Rolls are decent. As long as it’s warm. Conveniently located near a Main Street. Parking is an issue. I’d advise everyone to park carefully. I had to correct a person backing out while I was sitting in my car. If I didn’t, it would’ve been a parking lot collision and sorry’s don’t fix car damage. Better to prevent it from happening. It gets busy real quick. The parking lot has one entrance/exit. You want to be extremely cautious. TAMIL TIGERS 4 LIFE!!!!
My friend was starving at workplace so I ordered it for her on Uber. All she got was burnt food, that can’t even eaten by animals, know chefs can make Mistake but it’s is also their responsibility to check if food cooked well , if it’s not cooked well, then make another one but don’t try to sell it out to online orders, ad we also pay in dollars, it’s only 20 dollars but it’s also has value because it’s my hard earned money I haven’t earned any lottery. Just horrible advice experience. If you can’t give what you’re are getting paid for then what’s else can expected from you guys. I just recommend everyone don’t visit this place. There are many other much better restaurants places.
There’s something not right with this place. It used to be really good minus the language barrier. Tried ordering online via ritual. They never accepted the order and it timed out. So I went to get masala dosa, they don’t sell that anymore. The guy at the counter was annoyed I even asked for something that was on the menu. The $1 sambol is suddenly 1/10th the portion. Literally less than a table spoon full. See the picture. I got cramps after eating the food.
Please change the morning guy . He should stop asking personal question from customers . He doesnt know the presentation of food . When you open the container looks like puke. The owner knows the important of customer service not this guy . Not good at all.If i see him next time i am not coming anymore. Vegetarian options: All food is good there

I recently ordered from this takeout place and enjoyed most of the food. The dishes were flavorful and reasonably priced. However, the poratta was a disappointment expensive and too hard to eat. Overall, a good spot with great options, but they need to improve the poratta. Parking: Free parking around the building

Asked for extra spicy meaning extra chili pepper on a chicken kuttu roti - yet received zero chili pepper only chili powder. When i go to babu they give the actual chili peppers and extra - don t be cheap. Aside from that Mutton rotti, vidu rotti everything delicious. Add chili peppers not powder for spice

Recently, I ordered a Masala Dosa from Ganesha via Uber Eats. I got a burnt dosa, as seen in the picture. It was one of the worst restaurants. Please do not order anything from this restaurant. Today I ordered masala dosa at Ganesha via Uber eats and it was very charred and the person who cooked and parceled it doesnt know what kind of substandard work they are doing. There will never be a substandard dosa like this anywhere. Customers should avoid such shoddy restaurant.
This is a Sri Lankan Tamil take out restaurant. The food is cooked fresh throughout the day. It is very popular. They have snacks (mutton rolls, samosas, patties, vadais, and much more), and full meals (meat and fish curry, veggies, rice, string hopper, fried fish etc). We visit often, especially for their snacks. Very tasty.

The food here is really amazing for a reasonable price! I had their currys which were really spicy but still great! The service is quick and the people there are nice. I totally recommend ordering takeout there.
Ganesha mutton rolls gotta be one of the worst in Ontario, right after erra catering. The rolls are often overcooked, cold, or hard as a rock, and even when they are cooked properly, the filling inside is not to my liking. While the food here is by no means terrible, it is also not exceptional and doesnt stand out in any particular way. Overall, I would rate this place a 2.5/5 and suggest that they could improve the flavor of their dishes.
Just plain brown rice is almost 7$. With a regular box, you have to fix that buddy.

Food has always been good but service could be better. The owner is always welcoming and friendly but the younger guys working are very rude and inconsiderate to the customers. I will continue to go because of the great food !

Each time we go to the area we buy Mothakam in here, one of the best in the GTA, fried Mothakam also Very good. Other than that is average, not bad. Vegetarian options: You have a choose for vegetarians. Parking: Plenty of parking around here.

Be weary if your are not Tamil they will make up the prices as they go along. Told me the Sambal was 1.50 but I know my neighbor pays a dollar. Told me $3.00 per drumstick however I know my neighbor gets a full leg quarter for $2.50. Tried to sell me a Swiss chalet small gravy container of curry for 7.50. Food was good but left feeling like I was getting played.

Very good samosas (veggie, chicken, lamb). The tandoori chicken is also great. Good price for the quality of food. They have other tasty curries and food items but I don t know the names. If you re not familiar with the foods it doesn t hurt to just point and try. Some foods can be spicy. The people working at the store are honest and nice. If you re feeling adventure about trying new kinds of food, don t miss out on this place.

Such a bad service. Ive ordered a food and theyve kept me waiting for 1 hr and 45 minutes. I even asked them camly why are you making me wait for a small order. Theyve responded without politeness. They even scolded me and said go find another restaurent for food. I was so disappointed by their behavior. I came from the same community and i am so dissapointed how they treat customers. Its painfull to see such things in canada where we say thank you instead of F...U.

Every time increasing the price for rolls and there is no meat at all. Out of 20 rolls which i bought only a few had 1 or 2 pieces of meat. Its like potato rolls and the price is $1.75 each. Thats ridiculous.
Quality went down hill, mutton roles, fish patty, mutton curry and kool very blend and taste was not up to par with little to no meat. Will be taking my business elsewhere and suggest you do the same.

I was craving Tamil food so I decided to order from Ganesha. Needless to say, I won t ever come back for their food as I received Terrible customer service here. The lady helping me was rude and was hard to comprehend because she didn t speak a spec of English. She didn t even try to point at things to make it easier for me to understand. I don t care if you don t speak English but at least try to be understanding for customers that don t speak your language, it s not illegal to order at your place if I m another race. When I asked this lady to repeat herself, she got frustrated and when I asked kindly if there were more dal, she said loudly you WAIT . I paid $30 for a dinner I barely enjoyed. I love Tamil food as my friends have introduced me to it a few years ago. Do yourself a favour and go to Nantha s instead. They serve much better food and the ladies there are much nicer. I will drive further for it from now on.

The food is good but a bit too salty for my taste.
The owners attitude isn t worth a visit let alone trying the food! He was so rude pointing at us and ignored us for nearly 10 minutes before taking our order. I do not recommend going there unless you want to get triggered.
The employee was really racist, he severed the gentleman that was Indian first, even tho I came in the store before him. The employee was trying rush me out, like I was bothering him, I will never come here again, there are better Indian food out there and at a more affordable price

I recently ordered Banana leaf chicken and his is how they pack the all the dishes mixed together. I was barely even able to touch it. Chicken, fish all smelled bad. After I raised the complaint restaurant manager started shouting this is how we pack. Please do not order from this restaurant. Pathetic service and pathetic food. Shame you people.

The dosa (and breakfast special) is good value. I really like the mutton rolls here as well. I am not a big fan of the chicken Biryani.

Overall food is ok. Could improve on the hygiene. Also food preparation is sometimes inconsistent could be improved on as the same food has sometimes different ingredients and tastes different which I guess is due to different staff preparing the orders.
Love their snacks! Tried their sherbet drink yesterday and they got all out with the toppings: jelly, fruit and ice cream just what I needed on this hot summer day!

We catered food for our wedding from here and we loved the food as well as the entire experience. Customer service was amazing . They provided delicious, high quality food for a good price. They delivered the food at the venue. Our guests loved the food and we received a lot of compliments . I will highly recommend this place .
Good food, prices are ok. Love the snacks and the rolls that they have. Murthabak was a bit disappointing but I assume its because Ive had it in a different style in Saudi Arabia where this is south Indian.

A small sized place clean place and very reasonably priced. Np done in but excellent taste. The Biriyani and the Kotthu Roti is a must try. A friendly service and good selection of items.
Im 62 and weigh 245 lbs. The Chicken Noodle special for $6.49 is an excellent option, flavourful with a hint of spice. The chicken chunks were fair and I was full after destroying it after a long day at work. The Veggie Kothu is another delicious option, my wife ordered that and we both enjoyed the soft, fresh texture. It reminded us of Thanksgiving stuffing at family gatherings. The Chicken Curry was absolute fire, amazing flavour and the gradual build up of spice will make anyone who cant handle heat running for water.

Have been here a few times now and have always seen people working there without gloves. Food is tasty and exceptional but I think hygiene and cleanliness can improve further. I kindly request the management to up their game as covid or not I think gloves should be used when they touch the food for packing or use. I am sure I am going to come again here and if I see improvement I am most definitely going to give this place a 5 star rating.
This place always serves fresh and quality food. I have been to other similar catering and I come home only to see that the food has gone bad. I am so happy that Ganesh take out is close to my work since I can trust that they are selling fresh delicious food.
