If you can get over that somewhat pungent scent after entering the place you will love the beef noodle and other snacks, overall good value.
The main reason you'd go here is for the authentic fried stinky tofu. Don't go if you don't enjoy it. But it was a great to find a store that serves stinky tofu and isn't a temporary cultural food stall!
So far, one of the best Taiwanese beef noodle soup I’ve ate in Canada was here. Simple atmosphere family owned restaurant for many years in Markham. Basically, they are famous of their handmade noodles, beef noodles soup, dumpling and stinky tofu. I love their handmade noodles…..so thick and chewy. Always generous topping of tendon beef and the price is affordable. Authentic Taiwanese tofu looks so clean and clear…..once bite, you instantly forget how stinky it was? Inside is juicy and soft, with their heavenly sauce and spicy chilli sauce dippin….walao!!that’s all you know. Try it!
Overall food is delicious and the service is attentive but the smell of the restaurant is unacceptable. Maybe the famous fried tofu is fermening inside the kitchen
Ok wow. I didn't realize I hadn't written a review for this staple institution yet! I think they've been around since pre-2010 and it's still standing. Located at First Markham Place. As everyone's pointed out already, you walk in, you get blasted by that powerful stinky tofu smell, let it MARINATE on your nose and then in 5 min you become numb to the smell and get used to it while you're looking at the menu. A large, homemade beef noodle soup is the go-to order. I recently came back with my friends on a saturday for diner just to see if the quality had remained or gone down. Happy to report, the quality seems to have remained good! The noodles while I'm not sure whether they're made in-house anymore, certainly felt like fresh, handmade noodles as they were very chewy and had a lot of springiness to them (although I do rmbr them being much thicker in diameter). They still give you a lot of beef which is very nice. 80-90% of the beef chunks were tender. I got the occasional not-so-tender piece but for the amount of beef you're getting in each bowl that is easily forgiven. Broth is still layered and tastes complex. I can't really recall if it was better in the past since it's been SO long but it had good flavour so that's good enough for me. The dumplings remained exactly the same. Same wrappers and same filling. Seems to me like they've maintained their standards all these years! If you can tank the stinky tofu smell for the first 5 min, you will enjoy a great bowl of noodles here.
WARNING: If you are not a fan or simply hate stinky tofu, DO NOT COME HERE or simply order take out. Otherwise you’ll be stuck with the smell the entire stay at the restaurant and in your car afterwards. The Food: The noodles are simply awesome! I love the chewy texture of their noodles, very close to the ones in Taiwan 👍🏻👍🏻. I ordered large and got plenty of noodles. Beef tendons and belly are also great but the beef is a bit dry. Stinky tofu is stinky as advertised and you must add hot sauce to get the best version of it! Environment: It’s really warm and muggy inside, so it’s not super comfortable or relaxing. Imagine you are at a night market in Taiwan LOL. The tofu smell is all around you so come at your own risk. Service: Friendly and got what we asked for right away. No complaints. Highly recommend if you are a fan of Taiwanese beef noodle and stinky tofu.
Came here as was told by the Mrs' it's known for its stinky tofu. She was not wrong, as soon as you walk in you get a whiff of that stinky tofu. Our table ordered the homemade beef and beef tendon noodle soup, the homemade beef tendon mixed noodle, marinated beef tripe, and a side of stinky tofu. Overall, the noodles are thick and can definitely tell made fresh. Beef and tendons were nice and tender. The soup base had a nice flavour and not overpowering. The tripe was of a nice consistency and texture. The stinky tofu was not bad, considering I'm not really a tofu guy. The tofu is on the firmer side as it is deep fried. The stinky tofu is to be eaten with the sauce provided. It is a smaller restaurant, with good service and a relaxed atmosphere. Noodles are around the $15 mark, which is standard. On a nice cold day I would return for the noodles.
2024 Dec Edit Soup seems watered down. The whole store smells like Stinky Tofu and can't really enjoy flavor of food. Noodles and beef in soup are still okay. Original: Best Beef noodle soup in the city! The soup base is rich and flavorful. The beef and beef tendon were soft has good texture. The noodles were fresh and perfectly cooked.
Pretty good
I like this noodle very much
Authentic flavors Taiwan. Love it! Food
Knife noodles, good
Simply delicious!
Its a very cozy shop. The noodles have a texture similar to hand-made noodles like those in Taiwan. It goes well with the delicious beef soup. The only drawback is that there are too few side dishes to choose from. I chose bamboo shoots and pig ears, but the stinky tofu was a bit smelly and I couldn t eat it.
Very tasty beef noodle. You can choose between beef only, tendon only, or combination. Most of the fatty parts are removed, which is a big plus! It comes in Small or Large; small is similar to standard ramen bowl amount. But be warned!! This place also serves stinky tofu (which is also very good) so the inside smells very intense upon first entry. Parking: Huge parking lot, but it fills up to 95% around peak lunch time and dinner time on weekends. You will need to circle around then.
I like the beef noodle soup! The place has nice paintings.
Score four points for the beef tendon. The noodles are really worse than those sold in supermarkets. Cant bite.
Very yummy stinky tofu!! Portions are a bit small but large is worth it. Friendly staff!!
My go to place when craving stinky tofu! Don t waste your time and money at the night markets, this place is legit with amazing Taiwanese beef noodles as well.
Its not my favourite. The broth got this artificial flavor like most taiwanese beef noodle places do in scarborough. I like natural flavors. Like Max noodle house in Aurora.
Without flying to Taiwan this is probably best Taiwanese beef noodles I ve tasted so far.
The service is not that good but better then Montreal the food is so good especially the tofu the tofu is really like Taiwanese plus the drink is so goood but I forgot the name..it really a goood trip i recommend u to go mei Nung beef noodle house
best taiwanese beef noodle soup in GTA. Wish they were on doordash or skip the dishes so i can order when hungover. The portions are great, beef is amazing, and dumplings are incredible too
Little little non descript restaurant nestled in First Markham place serves up delicious hand pulled noodles in a tasty beef broth. Youll know your getting close when you catch the whiff of traditional Taiwanese Stinky Tofu! You know the soup is of super high quality if it turns to gel when put into the fridge if you take it home. Literally good till the last drop. Serving size is very generous with really large toppings of beef and tendon. Dont forget to try their delicious side dishes as well! My favourite is the silky tofu with thousand year preserved egg and Bonito / Fish Flakes Service is excellent with very attentive wait staff.
They taste like traditional Taiwanese style beef noodles. So far is my best option in uptown.
Best Taiwanese beef noodles and stinky tofu in GTA
Best beef noodle soup around. Great service too! Highly recommended. Recommended dishes Braised Beef Noodle Soup
It s amazing, it s the first time I ve seen beef noodles with such a big piece of beef. I was so stuffed that I couldn t finish the meal.
The WORST noodle in Markham taste like just soy source without any flavor. And the smell in the restaurant really sucks
Not tasting and pricy, not recommend. There re many other good restaurants in this plaza
The quality and quantity of food are not bad. The price is average and acceptable: neither affordable nor too expensive. Only: The air extraction system should be seriously improved: I have been here several times and I feel that the kitchen is higher pressure than the dining area: As a result, it not only smelled slightly like vegetables, but was too strong! ~ As soon as I entered the door of this restaurant, I felt a little choking! Still planning to visit again! But I really hope to improve this as soon as possible!
fabulous restaurant
I been here many years already My favourite spot for stinky tofu and beef noodle soup Clean place with friendly stuff If you like stinky tofu highly recommend Food : 5/5 |
If youre a fan of stinky tofu, youll definitely want to check out this place! They serve the best stinky tofu around GTA. Their beef tendon is also a standout incredibly tender with a rich soup base. Service - the lady with glasses is particularly friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere - the restaurant is a bit small, with approximately 10 tables. Keep in mind that parking at First Markham Place can be challenging during weekend lunch and dinner hours, so plan accordingly!
Small store with a few tables. Beef noodle soup was good. Service was quick and staff were friendly.
Great food reasonable prices . Stinky tofu is off the hook!
It s a no frills noodle shop with good food and friendly service. The noodles are solids and the stinky tofu is a bonus.
High CP value
Visited last Thursday night. Noodle tasted like cheap udon noodle you find in the supermarket. I had a bite only, didn t even touch the rest. Beef was like beef jerky served in a soup and I thought I was chewing gum. I cannot stand it, places like this advertising themselves as authentic Taiwanese restaurants.
Its just delicious.
Love their noodles and stinky tofu
Authentic Taiwanese comfort food that brings me back to Taipei. Price is good and the portion is generous. If youve made it pass 5 minutes of sitting and feeling adventurous. I recommend trying their fried golden brown Stinky Tofu. Be warned. It stinks like weeks-old worn socks in the tropics. It tastes as it smells but if you hold your breath a little, its really not that bad. Its crispy on the outside and soft and smooth inside. Theres a very slight hint of ammonia from fermentation and while eating it, you actually forget the smell with the sauce. Good luck
I went to Taiwan this past summer and the beef noodle soup here is definitely comparable! The broth has amazing flavour, and the noodles have such a great chew. Both the beef and tendon are so tender. We also got the sesame noodles with tripe and I loved it, best tripe Ive had at a restaurant. Overall: 4.5/5
Great stinky tofu
Stinky tofu is absolutely authentic, reminds me of being in Taiwan.
The service was very I liked it a lot. Very friendly and the food was also delicious in a perfect quantity. It might be a bit stinky when you go in, but being brave will have it s benefits! Give it a try at least!
Noodles are great. Stinky tofu is legit!
best Taiwan beef noodle soup in the town ! Ordered a small just a good size for me ! Since they give really a lot meat so $12.49 before tax is reasonable! Love this one!
Stinky tofu best ever in Toronto the noodles are good.
Delicious food and friendly waitress !
Ordered preserved tofu as recommended by the waitress. It s crispy and hot. For taste you need to like blue cheese. Also ordered beef noodles. Soup taste so so only. Noodles are chewy which I like. beef tendon no taste but soft.
The smell of this stinky tofu is a bit strange. It may be a characteristic of Taiwanese stinky tofu.
Good food regular service. Busy during lunchtime Parking: On site parking Food : 4/5 |
Nice Taiwan hand pull noodles with the delicious beef soup. Their side dishes are worth to get too.
Legit stinky tofu!
Taiwanese beef noodles and authentic pungent tofu if you fancy those things
Almost the top of noodle in Toronto area I have ever had so far. The price is reasonable if considering their amount of the beef. Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who like noodles.
I have not visited the shop for a long time. The quality maintained and the favour is strong. The beef and tenderloin are both tender and excellent taste. The noodle includes the Taiwanese green reddish. The hot sauce is available on the table which is pairing up very well with the noodle soup.
I used the business hours reference on Google. I came twice and was disappointed once. The second time I called to confirm that it was open until 4 oclock. At 3:30, I came to the door on time and told me that everything was closed inside.
Maybe it s because of the stinky tofu? The store smelled so bad that I couldnt bear to come out within ten seconds after entering.
Came here on a whim, and food was good and comforting. Prices are very reasonable - you get good value for your money. I got their beef noodle soup (L) for $13.49, and it was delicious. The noodle texture was good. The soup base was nice but a bit mild (not too strong in flavour). The stinky tofu seemed really popular as every table except ours ordered it.
Stanky tofu delish
Come for the Taiwanese beef noodle soup. The broth is strong taste. Got the tripe this time. Well cooked and good amount of pieces. I dont like stinky tofu but the stinky tofu here is good. Not overly smelly, with crisp outer. The pickled veggie helps to cleanse the palate. Their chili sauce is spicy! The staff were attentive. Refilled water without asking and assisted when requested.
Made another visit to Mei Nung, still just as delicious. This will definitely satisfy your beef noodle soup craving. Their menu offers a good number of dishes and isnt too overwhelming. Its recommended to try their beef noodle soup, but you can grab other Taiwanese dishes such as stinky tofu. Staff is friendly and the restaurant is very clean.
Stinky tofu is legit!!
Very delicious beef noodle, dumplings and stinky tofu. The restaurant definitely has a Taiwanese vibe to it too. Will try the soya milk next time
Small restaurant but with the very tasty beef noodles.
The taste is okay. The side dishes are a bit expensive. When I entered the store, I smelled the fried stinky tofu. It tasted quite authentic. However, because I had to go to work in the afternoon, I didn t dare to eat it because I was afraid of the strong smell.
One of the best beef noodle place I ve had in a long time. Tastes and smells just like Taiwan
Went here for some Taiwanese noodle soup. I always like their beef tendon noodle soup. The soup base still as good and strong. Dont know how much different from taiwan but i still love their noodle, highly recommend.
Reasonable price. Good food. There is no access to the wheelchair facility. This is the sad part.
Good beef noodle plus more
Have been to this place several times. This is one of the place I usually go for a quick and delicious meal. Despite the rising food price, I have to say that they keep their portion relatively reasonable to the price. Not to mention the waitress are friendly and attentive. Recommended for dining alone or in a small group.
Boeuf noodles taste good .stinky tofu it yummy.
Most authentic taiwanese beef noodles in town.
better than what I expected... and very full
Saturday lunch and we came here to try it out. Seating here is for about 30+ people and got seated mediately. We ordered beef and beef tendon noodles in soup (L) and a beef tripe with noodles sesame sauce (dry bowl) (S). Appetizer we had tofu with preserved egg (also called 100 year old or century egg). Our meals arrived 5-10mins. The tofu appetizer is served cold with the 100 yr old egg with a splash of sweet Taiwanese sauce and a sprinkle of Japanese bonito fish flakes. It was delicious. Beef and beef tendon are very tender with the soup, it also came with diced pickled vegetable, Shanghai bak choy and noodles it was a perfect bowl to eat. This was a large I had ordered so it was good for a person with a big appetite to have. The beef tripe was very good, not chewy and was served with bean sprouts, chopped cucumber. The sesame sauce on the noodles added much flavor to this bowl (small size ordered) Service was fast and friendly... It has gotten busier right after we arrived but the service was still quick and so was the kitchen. Just to give you a friendly warning.. they do sell stinky tofu appetizer here so if you can stand the smell in the restaurant then you can still enjoy eating here... :)
Decent noodle place with selections ranging from soup noodle to sauce noodle, and appetizers. Average prices for a chinese restaurant. Small restaurant with not that much seating, but they are not too busy. Air conditioning is a bit too cold, and there were small bugs flying around.
Its really delicious, especially the stinky tofu and hairy tripe. The oil is very clean and not greasy at all.
Reasonable price, hometown taste
I ordered a beef noodle soup. The fried sauce tasted like the one from the school cafeteria in the past. I haven t seen it in 10 years since I graduated. It was so delicious. There is also a lot of meat and the price is reasonable.
Stinky tofu is so delicious! The store is clean and tidy, and the dishes are plentiful and delicious!
Craving a taste of Taiwan! The beef noodles are juicy and tender, but lets talk about the star of the show: fried stinky tofu! Its crispy, savory, and oh-so-addictive. Mei Nung Beef Noodle House I didn t have high expectations when I went in. The soup base of the beef noodles is thick and not dry. The noodles are quite chewy. The fried stinky tofu is so crispy and full of salty flavor. The dumplings are thin and filling Good value for money.
We have been here for Braised beef noodle soup many times. The noodle soup was always very good
Come for the noodles, stay for the side dishes. Great noodles. Excellent chew. Great side dishes. Dont be dissuaded by the stinky tofu smell.
Taiwanese style, but the beef noodles are more delicious and different from those in mainland China
Love the stinking tofu and beef noodles. The noodles remind me the one that I had in Taiwan. Parking: There are plenty of parking before business hours. I arrive 10min before it opens, and I had no problem finding parking.
The taste is generally bland The beef has not been soaked yet There are many customers to help, the whole store is full
Very good place, feel like home meal
One of my favorite noodle houses for their freshly made dry noodles with minced meat sauce. My husband loves their braised beef with tendon soup noodles but most of the time I order the dry noodle with minced meat sauce. I love how their meat is not fatty at all and the dish has an egg and some veggies. Small size is a good portion for ladies but if you want to share with a young child, you can order a large or add extra noodles and/or change it to soup noodles.
Stinky tofu was soo good, for the price it was fair too!
This place is awesome! I love their beef noodle with soup, they put lots of beef and the broth is savoury. The amount of noodles that they give you is a lot. I really recommend coming to this place.
The smelly tofu is one of the best in town which is a must-order every time I visit. Noddle is mediocre though. Update: everything has been better compared to Covid era. This is a 5 star restaurant for sure.
The stinky tofu is amazing (Only to those who enjoy exotic taste)
This noodle place was close to our hotel, so we came in for dinner around 6 pm on a Friday night. Took a few minutes to find it, which is located in a large cluster of Asian stores and eateries in a shopping mall with a large parking lot in the middle. The stinky tofu smell was really strong when we walked in! All three of us ordered the large sized beef noodle soup, which was tasty, with tender beef in a huge bowl of noodles and broth. The servers were quick and courteous. Very plain decor and not much ambiance, but we just wanted a bowl of beef noodle soup, so we were fine.
Taste and smell like Taiwan. I come here for their beef tendons and stinky tofu.
Noodle is thick and chewy. The soup base is very rich but not overwhelming. This place reminds me of the beef noodle at Taoyuan airport. Try if you can tolerate the stinky tofu scent (very pungent).
The beef noodles tasted very traditional; the broth was very rich and the beef was very tender. One word of caution is that this place sells stinky tofu, so the restaurant always smells like it.
After hearing many great things about their Beef Noodle Soup over the years, I finally had the chance to visit Mei Nung Beef Noodle House! I was quite impressed with the quality and portion of the Noodle soup! The noodles are handmade which shows with the perfect al dente bite with their broth. The broth has lots of umami flavour and it pairs well with the tender beef brisket thats been braised for hours. The service was quick and efficient which was nice since I was looking for a quick meal to enjoy their legendary Beef Noodle Soup!
I love this Taiwanese beef noodle
Taiwanese beef noodles and stinky tofu. Whats there not to like :) And the dumplings are good as well
Located in First Markham place, small store front so ya gonna search for it Decided to get my stink on and ordered their stinky tofu, as normally restaurants will not have this in the menu because of the smell. More than 50% of the tables ordered this dish so it cant be that bad. Good choice, cooked fresh and the stink was not that bad when compared to the stinky tofu stalls in Mongkok, Hong Kong. Their beef noodle was stellar, flavorful broth, tender beef and chewy noodles. Jaja mein was ok but not as good as I would hope for Stinky tofu was the star of the show, bring a bottle mouthwash with you beforehandLocated in First Markham place, small store front so ya gonna search for it Decided to get my stink on and ordered their stinky tofu, as normally restaurants will not have this in the U menu because of the smell. Food is always good and never let me down.
Best stinky tofu in Canada hands down, a must-visit for any tofu lovers. The owner lady is a national treasure and I absolutely love her, amazing service. I try and drag my family here every time I m in town.
Delicious food, beware the whole place smells like stinky tofu.
Stinky Tofu is awesome
Classic Taiwanese beef noodles and stinky tofu! Long standing joint thats been around for many years Beef are soft and soup is flavorful! Stinky tofu is yummy and fresh every time. I just wish they would sell a smaller portion for a little cheaper instead, portion for $11.99 is a bit much for 2 people.
Beef and soup are not Taiwanese at all, it is actually Cantonese taste...The stinky tofu wasnt crispy, quantity was little and the worse part is they came messy, looks like someone just throw them carelessly on the plate, I understand you might be busy, but it just cut my appetite. This place is not like when they just opened years ago, disappointed. Only gave two stars for the lonely hard working lady server.
Smelly tofu on point. Beef noodles on point. Will need tons of tissues if you like hot sauce.
I found someone s nail in my food. It was on my last bite of noodles and I fished it out of my mouth, didn t recognize what it was so I didn t say anything, paid and left but took the piece with me as I was suspicious. Played around with it and the underside is soft like calloused skin with patterning/print. Sooooo gross
We were excited to get some Taiwanese food on our first stop in the Markham area. The staff was very attentive and polite and cleaned our table even when spilled some tea. Unfortunately we weren t really impressed with the beef noodle soup - there wasn t really a depth of flavor and it appears that the meat was over-brined and salty. The homemade dumplings (although a large portion) was overpowered by too much Chinese 5 spice powder. The soy milk was a nice highlight though. Visa is NOT accepted (there were no signs that let us know beforehand) and they don t take AMEX. We awkwardly needed to try PayPal e-money transfer, which wasn t apparently what they wanted. The owners also don t appear to be Taiwanese since they spoke fluent Cantonese. Bring cash if you re from the USA to prevent and hassles. Restaurant is freezing cold.
Consistently great beef noodle soup. I have come here so many times and have yet to be disappointed. Great food, great prices.
Delicious Taiwanese-style stinky tofu!
All dishes are delicious.
The beef in beef noodle is a bit too dry and tough to chew
The food served in this restaurant is very delicious. The noodles are thick noodles, and the soup is superb because flavors are natural. The beef brisket is also very well seasoned and cooked. Another superb dish is their stinky tofu . If you have never had any experience with it , you may not like it. But for anyone who likes it or wants to try it, this is one if the very few places that makes very delicious. I come here regularly, and i strongly recommend this to anyone.
the food is overall good and the price is reasonable.
Best beef noodle place in Toronto. I have been eating here for over 10 years. Get the beef noodle soup. Put some spicy sauce on it. And you ll devour it in no time.
Price has increased and the food quantity has decreased. Order the stinky tofu and it looked like they halved each piece.
Taiwanese beef noodle soup and stinky tofu - large portions for reasonable price. Quick, no frills service. I expected the beef noodle soup to have more strong spice (liquorice) flavour, but it was still comforting. Stinky tofu was not very salty and did not have strong flavour (smells way more pungent than it tastes), and had a nice sweet and salty sauce. Clean interior and washrooms
My family s been going to Mei Nung for years and from a consistency standpoint, this beef noodle shop hits the spot. Always expect the same taste and quality, hasn t changed over 5 years, and would recommend to anyone looking for Taiwanese beef noodle uptown.
The stinky tofu is delicious, but slightly salty
Not exactly authentic Taiwanese cuisine. But probably the only stinky tofu with pickled cabbage that taste closest to what you get in the night market in Taiwan. Stinky tofu not as stinky as we like but our child have it five out of five. My partner doesnt like the particular noodle that has a distinct taste to it. Some people love that particular taste. The tendon and beef were tender and juicy. The soup was good. The spicy oil and sauce on the table were spicy enough. The veggies were good, too bad it was not those veggies with hollow stems. The appetizers were on the sweet side. If you are used to northern Chinese cuisines, this would be too sweet for you. Taiwanese cuisine is on the sweet side in general.
The most horrible beef noodles soup I have ever had. The shop got a very strong beefy smell, too. They need to improve their ventilation system.
Its only not 5 stars becos the noodles really so-so only. But the stinky toufu legit taiwanese style n taste. Super crisy. N chilli so spicy. Love it
Great foods great services! Must try - Deep Fried Tofu stinky tofu is delicious Side Dishes - 3 in 1 Dish Pickled Vegetables Must-eat beef dumplings
Not like Taiwan, they use Lean meat without tendon between the meat. Rather go to any other noodle restaurant
Best place in town for Taiwanese noodles? Mei Nung Beef Noodle House has been my go-to for years! They offer exceptional Taiwanese Beef Noodles in both soup & dry forms. It s easy to enjoy along with the side of Tofu with Preserved Eggs, or even Stinky Tofu! Beef Noodle Soup includes thick cuts of braised beef and the soup has such a deep broth flavour from hours of simmering. The owners know what their doing, having run the shop for as long as I can remember! You ll find it as soon as you park at First Markham.
The food is decently priced and the serving sizes are appropriate. One downside to eating here is that you have to be used to the smell of smelly tofu or else youre not going to have a good eating experience
Stinky tofu is a must if you can stand it.
The beef tendon noodles are very delicious, basically on par with what you get in Taiwan. The noodles are hand-rolled and very chewy. The stinky tofu is amazing when eaten hot. I havent eaten such delicious stinky tofu in a long time. In addition, I ordered a dish of noodles with minced meat, which was just average. The taste of the minced meat was not authentic.
Craving for beef noodles soup? a side of stinky tofu? I have been here countless times. so good. Definitely had some type of stinky tofu scent once you get close. I will always be back for some more. (I ate all the stinky tofu before I could remember to take a photo, My apologies)
Best TW beef soup noodle in the GTA in my opinion! Service is attentive and the atmosphere is good for a small mom and pop shop at this price range. Always repeat!
Beef broth is good and the meat is tender. Very nice service. Lots of parking and have many varieties of food
My kind of beef noodle soup Still The Best ! Food
Genuine Taiwan style beef noodle
Best Taiwanese stinky tofu in town ! So satisfying.
Good Taiwanese Beef noodle. Good portion and taste good to me as I never had authentic Taiwanese beef noodle. Their chilli sauce is sooo good, spicy as hell.
Stinky tofu is great!
My favourite Taiwan Beef noodle place in town. Always be my go-to place for beef noodles.
My favorite Taiwanese food
Great beef noodles
July 2021 only had the deep fried stinky tofu. So this rating is only for that. The stinky tofu was pretty good. Very stinky to be honest and you can really smell it. Pretty flavorful if you like that. Different from other stinky tofu, this is worth a try if your looking for stinky tofu.
I placed an order on Rice Balls, but after waiting for 20 minutes, the order still wasn t taken, and the customer service couldn t contact the store. I might as well close the store permanently.
First off when you enter the area. You can smell the stench of the stinky tofu from this place. While the stench is off putting the taste of it is sooo good. The Stinky tofu tip would be to ask them to DRENCH the fried tofu in that stinky sauce or seasoning. It comes out a bit dry. The drench sauce taste is amazing with hot sauce paired. Top it with their Taiwan Spicy Beef Noodle soup is delicious. These 2 i always order and order. Quality has been consistent and its always busy here!!! A++++
Got the Beef and Beef Tendon Noodle Soup and it tasted really good. Their homemade dumplings also impressed me, were surprisingly good!
Stinky tofus r the best especially freshly served!
The one of best beef noodles in Toronto. The tastes of stinky tofu and noodles are pretty close to Taiwanese flavour. It s worth to give yourself a try!!! Personally, I m very satisfied with this restaurant.
Authentic
been coming here ever since they open, best stinky tofu in town!
It was our first time at this small shop for their signature beef knife-cut noodles. The taste was good. The beef was really tender, the noodles were chewy and the flavour of the soup was just right. The price was not cheap but the portion was reasonable. It s not a bad choice if you want to grab a quick bowl of noodle soup.
If you love stinky tofu this is your spot. If you hate the smell... well too bad. You can smell this restaurant from 50ft away lol!!
Really stinky stinky tofu !! It reminds me of my hometown. You d definitely want to try it if you are curious about how stinky tofu tastes like.!!
Taste fair.
The taste is very good, the stinky tofu is very unique, and the taste is very close to the one I ate in Taiwan at that time
Just went to buy take-out last Friday and notice their service is getting worse than before. Not sure because of Covid. Also the noodles isnt as fresh as before. Not recommend it.
Have to try Mei Nungs stinky tofu.
Good service
Stinky tofu is good! Good enough to satisfy our cravings. If you are planning on meeting someone after, I suggest ordering takeout. We are in the parking lot.
Very delicious Taiwanese beef noodles.
It doesnt have the flavor of stinky tofu, it looks like fried tofu, which is a bit disappointing. But the noodle soup tastes good
Been coming here for many years. My favourite spot for beef noodle soup. You cant come here and not get the stinky tofu! Its crispy, pungent and has just enough firmness to my liking and the picked vegetable that come with it really helps with clearing you pallet.
We ordered the beef and beef tendon noodle soup and it was amazing! The soup was super good and we did not feel thirsty afterwards. Beef and beef tendon were very soft with just the right texture. Noodles were chewy. Overall a very comfortable meal after a long day. Will definitely come again!
There is smelling tofu food
