This location is in the food court at First Markham Place. The parking lot is a great example of a battlefield and I’m not kidding. I have seen fights break out over parking spots because it’s way too busy all the time and you will find an immediate spot almost never. The food at this restaurant is so unfair! Modern day scammers here! Look at this drunken chicken plate… I separated the veggies and chicken apart from the noodles just to see what kind of BS I just purchased. All I have to say is COME ON GUYS! You should be ashamed of yourselves! $15 for 2 lbs of noodles and a pinch of veggies and meat. SHAME!

Worst thai food we've ever tasted. The chicken rice was boiled pieces of brand chicken and rice that had no fragrance or essence. The drunken noodles had no wok heat or char and was completely disappointing.

Visited on a Saturday morning just after eleven. My order was for Pad Thai with chicken and it was efficiently processed. The price was a little higher than the other place in the food court that serves Pad Thai, however, there was more chicken and larger pieces so that's the comparison. Maybe the portion was a little smaller? Still, the Pad Thai was very good and there were plenty of peanuts with it. They ask how spicy you'd like it and there was also chili oil available that you can add to the dishes.

Family owned business with very friendly and fast service. The Pad Thai is my favorite. I would recommend asking for it to be Spicy and adding shrimp because it makes the dish so much more tastier. They do a great job balancing the spicy flavor and sauces.

Best Spring Rolls in Markham Food: Have tried various things here - green curry, pad Thai, spring rolls and chicken satay (RIP) I keep coming back for the spring rolls - they're a generous size, packed with filling and always fresh The pad Thai is as you'd expect from a food stall - eatable and go enough to have again The green curry was a pass for me, it doesn't come close to my favourite at another local Thai chili The chicken satays were great but they discontinued them Food quality - flavour, freshness and temperature always consistent Service: Consistent - fast, orders always accurate

Quite lovely tasting dishes - was surprised to pay $5 for one sausage as yummy as it was. As another person mentioned the sausage could have been more fragrant but still good to say the least. I’m more used to Thai food - so the familiar flavours in the Nam Khao (Crispy Rice salad) was quite nice. Pricey but I will return

Located in the food court of first markham place. I'd consider this place a pretty authentic place for Thai food. All their employees are from Thailand and speak Thai. The food here is delicious. My parents love this place. They always buy take out from here every time they pass by the area. We usually get #11 and #12 and the beef larp These dishes taste really authentic. Full of herbs and flavour. The sticky rice here is nicely cooked. It's not too soft and not too hard. Thai ice tea is okay. Not the best I've had. It seems a little they didn't use enough cream or milk. The flavours not creamy enough. Overall, recommended.

We live in Toronto but worth the drive north to have authentic Thai - in a food court! We have tried all their menu items. Weve been so many times and none disappoint. Adjustable spice levels (1 chili, 2 chili, and welcome to Thailand!) and each order is prepared fresh by a friendly authentic Thai chef. The goodness of the staples like Pad Thai are consistently good but their OG Nam Kao is really good with sausage pieces and crispy rice bits all over. The free sugarcane drink they provide is no longer but the quality of the food is still maintained after over 7 years in operation. I wish they open a location in downtown Toronto. Arguably the best Thai food in the GTA. A definite must go!

This had to be the worst pad Thai I ve ever had. Tasted like ketchup and noodles with boiled chicken.

Probably the worst Thai Pad Thai I ve had in Toronto. It tastes more like ketchup than Pad Thai base. Also there s soup in the noodle? What? And the chicken breast was plain, feels like what I can cook at home, fresh out of the fridge Fusion gone wrong

We had a pad thai, fried rice and a curry. Peanuts in the pad thai were stale. They had a strong odor of old cooking oil. We had to throw away the pad thai. The fried rice was dry and hard. The curry was okay.

I went to fmp to get some chinese BBQ but the line up with nuts for both BBQ places. So I decided to get a chicken pad Thai from Thai food. I ordered a mild chicken pad Thai from a cashier that looked liked she really didnt want to be there. Very unwelcoming, couldnt care less kind of attitude. When I got my food It was bland but yet spicy. I had already left the food court and couldnt be bothered to go back. Really disappointed in the customer service and food. The food seems to have gone down hill, I wont be returning. I shouldve waited in the long line for the BBQ.

2023 January 3.5 Food continues to be quite good. #7 Thai Coconut noodle soup $9.75 Ground pork, rice noodles and a bit of chives and coriander as garnish. The soup is a bit sweet with essence of Coconut. There is a hint of spiciness. 2019 4 Food is pretty good. The price point is just right relative to the portions and location. The sausage had 2 PCs.. I ate one in the pic.

The cashier lady was quite flabbergasted when I said if I can take my Thai milk tea less sweet and she arrogantly told me no because it was pre-made and came straight from the fridge behind her. I had to take it home and water it down by a big half, so think about how much condensed milk is used to make this. It was way too sweet to my liking because she couldnt modify it so I give so little stars overall. Not just for the food. I thought it was managed by actual native Thai people but I dont think they are entirely Thai or even half. It might be just anyone who owns this joint and hired South Asian staff to maintain the place. I read from other reviewers that their other food isnt up to par and is on the drier side. The consistency of food prep needs work and overall the establishment needs work. It might be the many times I came to the mall early and saw that theres absolutely no business blooming at this place, but if it truly reflects that no matter what time you arrive at the mall to eat and theres still no business being made here, people can judge for themselves if this place is worth servicing. It is too expensive to be a cash only place too. Dietary restrictions: They cant accommodate your dietary needs here because a lot of food and drinks are already pre-done so they cant adjust sweetness or saltiness levels here. I suggest if you want authentic Thai cuisine to dine at actual restaurants and not fast food court joints.

Cashier who took my order was nice, ordered a shrimp pad Thai, SOMEONE MESSED UP. I got a chicken pad Thai instead. Went back and the cashier said I ordered chicken. WHY WOULD I DO THAT? MY daughter wanted SHRIMP, I second guessed myself, she said no, you ordered shrimp. Lol, I know what I ordered. It was NOT chicken. She was nice and said sorry I was I UNsatisfied with my order because I wanted a shrimp pad Thai, I ordered shrimp, I got chicken, I wasn t happy, got ripped off, imagine purchasing a red Tesla for extra $, and on delivery day you receive a white Tesla? You let management know, and their response is, sorry but don t fix the problem? Yup, that s how I felt. I did not bother complaining, next thing you know they get angry at you for their own mistake and you never mess with people who cook your food because you re going to be the one eating it. I do not recommend this place. I love Thai food, but this is shopping mall quality Thai food. If you are feeling adventurous, order something, you never know which wrong order you ll get. If you want the chicken, say shrimp. Lesson learned.

Ordered a spicy drunken noodle today. I actually have never tried this dish, so didnt really know what to expect, also order led a Thai ice tea to go with it. The noodle was ok, spiciness was on point. Maybe its the name, I was expecting to taste a little cooking wine? Did taste that at all, beef was ok, but nothing jumps out. Thai ice tea was too swear, and didnt have enough tea flavour, but it was $4.50, honestly tasted like sugar water. Not the best Ive ever had but its consistent. Tried #11 heavenly beef which Ive never eaten before. The sausage is awesome! Option of papaya or mango salad and white or sticky rice. Also comes with soup. The Thai iced tea here is delicious and not too sweet. Will definitely try more dishes here. Update: #13 Larb beef is amazing! I hate to write bad reviews for small businesses during a pandemic. But my experience here was awful. I was probably the only customer at the time so it wasn t busy. I asked to upgrade to a sticky rice for my meal and was charged extra for it (expected and not the root of my complaint). I go all the way home to eat and they of course forgot my rice because having a modification was too hard to handle. The chef special is so greasy and salty that it can barely be enjoyed as a meal with rice, let alone on its own. I called to ask if they forgot my rice. They awkwardly said yes. Didn t apologize. I went to pick it up and they barely looked up at me to apologize genuinely. No offer of retribution of my extra time on a Saturday night. I used to get food here all the time before the pandemic. Never again.

Only complaint I could have is raising the price of the mango sticky rice which was a while ago. The service is very friendly.

The most shiny hidden gem of Markham. My favorite restaurant. The owner and head chef greets you by name and dishes out the best, most authentic, Thai food. Try everything. Be adventurous. Everything is fantastic.

Wiang Kuk Thai Food is an amazing hidden gem of a restaurant tucked away in the food court of First Markham Place mall. Im not sure that I can put into words how much I LOVE this place. The passion and dedication towards making and serving authentic Thai food is very apparent as their food and service are top notch. My absolute favourite dish is their Crispy Rice Salad. The combination of spicy, salty, sour, crunchy, and fresh is a delight. You have to try it! It is the one thing I craved and had to have first thing postpartum!

Dont be fooled by this restaurant because it is in a food court. It is absolutely delicious. My friend had brought me here because I wanted a Thai soup. My goodness... Every bite was so fresh and bright with flavour. I cant wait to go back to try other items on their menu.

Great family owned stall. The chef is Thai and a few years ago, went back to Thailand on vacation and returned with a bunch of northern-inspired dishes. I love this place and highly recommend it. Try the Chicken Tuk Tuk (its a coconut milk soup noodle!).

I really, really enjoy the food here and it is the most authentic Thai food I have found in the GTA. Other Thai restaurants I have tried in the GTA have not been able to satisfy me because they have not resembled anything close to the food in Thailand. Chef does a great job.

Ive been going here for a while. I went for the first time a couple of years ago on a recommendation and have been going back every week or two ever since then. They have the best Pad Thai Ive had in Toronto for a decent price. Lots of other good stuff on their menu too - in particular, I love the Curry Pad Thai and Coconut Soup, as well as the Spring Rolls here.
