Offering Takeout as of Thursday, Jan. 6th/22 .. until further notice 519-538-1788.
We were a party of 21 who had reservations for around 4:30 I believe. They had notice we were coming by a couple of days if I am correct, and somehow there were only 2 servers on (for the whole restaurant)!!! I have to say, the atmosphere was ok, service was touch and go (as the supper hour was upon us), and the food was terrible. They offer everything from poutine to kangaroo loin! Prices for this terrible food was a huge insult to boot. Yes, inflation is a thing, so is highway robbery! The people I was with had never been there so none of us really knew what to expect. Food was cold and french fries were undercooked for everyone who ate them. It was extremely embarrassing to the couple who prepared this day for the bunch of us that were invited. I heard one person say McDonald's had better burgers, and although I didn't order ANY of their meat I would have to agree. Cool idea for a business.
Holy sh!t I made it!! For 3 years, I've had customers telling me, "Go to Teds!!, it's the best ever!!" Going with high expectations, Teds Range Road Diner knocked it out of the park. Incredible service, food and atmosphere. Rode in with my daughter Sunday, sat outside it was a perfect. Thank you!!!!
Food was good, a little on the expensive side for what you get especially the drinks! Men’s washroom was out of paper towel and the women’s wasn’t the cleanest. Service was on the slower side as we were sitting on the patio, the inside was packed with only 2 servers working.
Another amazing meal. Mushroom caps with libster and crab, bison strips, chicken curry and blackened trout ( served with sautéd fruit - best trout dish I have ever had ) were all delish, and the service was both putstanding and friendly. Highly recommend this unique and wonderful restaurant.
Food is pretty good. Service decent, friendly. Menu has quite the variety including exotic meats if you want to try. Everything was cooked well but not enough to justify the price to be a common occurrence. It can get busy in the summer with visitors to the area. It is a nice spot with kitschy decor in a unique quonset hut. Music was a little loud. I probably wouldn't have mind it if was good music. It's a local attraction to at least try once. Situated very close to the Meaford military training centre.
Staff is extremely friendly. The food was delicious. If you want to try game meat or just something different, this is the place. Big portions, and everything tasted so so good. Place closed at 9:00 PM, we were served past closing time and were in no way rushed and were even asked if we were looking to have dessert/coffee/tea. Must try!
What a lovely diner place in Meaford! We were provided excellent customer service by Nicole and her team! It was busy when we came, but we were acknowledged promptly! The patio is very lovely to hangout with friends and loved ones! We had elk, bison, arctic char, prime rib, and crocodile for dinner. Everything was so delicious and worth it! The serving size is humongous, so you’ll definitely need a takeout box. Going to this restaurant is worthwhile especially after appreciating nature from your day adventure! Cant wait to go back again when we’re in Meaford!
THIS REVIEW IS WORTH THE READ! We were looking for somewhere out this way and to eat something different. We came all the way from Hamilton to eat here. It was an interesting find, a diamond in the rough. Kind of felt like it was off the beaten path, and if you weren't looking for it, you would miss it. We showed up for open at 3pm, and it seemed rather desolate from the outside. There is no real indication of where to park, but we found there was a gravel area to the side of a driveway leading out back. The place had some outdoor seating, but we chose to dine indoors. At first glance, it looks like a run-down pub built inside of a steel hangar. We were greeted promptly by a male whom was tinkering with the live music equipment with an abrupt "You got reservations?" To which we replied "No." It seemed like seating us in an empty restaurant was going to be a problem. Note to self "Get reservations next time." I'm sure they get incredibly busy closer to dinner. Once we were seated, our server (I believe her name was Nicole?) came and took our drink order, which was just water. She was a delight, great attitude, kind of brought me a mind of a blonde, glasses toting Christina Ricci. This place is family owned and operated, which is great. As a foodie, you should stay away from those nasty conglomerates and stick to amazing mom n pop shops like this. THE FOOD! The menu had a great selection and variety of items, as well as specials and menu items written all over the North wall. I was amazed with the exotic options such as Kangaroo medallions (I've eaten Roo before and it's a really good meat), crocodile schnitzel, and escargot. Don't get too discouraged by the price of some of these items, it's above normal for a meal, but you're getting food that is above and beyond normal. The wife and I decided to start with bruschetta, add feta cheese and balsamic drizzle, muscles cooked in a marinara (delicious), and I had to "hop" on those fried frogs legs with garlic and parmesan. I never had frog legs before, and the wife absolutely refused to try them, but it was her loss and my gain because they were amazing. It was like eating the most moist and soft chicken wings ever. Reading that back now sounds odd, but I promise you have to try them. For our mains, she got the wild boar with onion rings for the side, which was a great idea because they paired very well together. The onion rings are your standard run of the mill rings. The boar was topped with a creamy mushroom sauce. The boar was nice, tender, and juicy. I ordered the crocodile schnitzel with pasta and a lobster tail side. The schnitzel was phenomenal. I was however a little disappointed with the pasta and lobster tail though. The pasta was that spiral multicolored style, there was no flavor or dressing to them, it was rather plain. The lobster tail was too well done, the meat was tough, but the flavor was delicious. Well seasoned. Oh yeah, and the mains also had sides of cooked mixed vegetables. They were pretty good too. Overall, I was very impressed with the food and the variety of flavors and textures. The bill was in the area of 230$, but it was worth it. I wanted to try everything. In conclusion. I highly recommend this place if you are seeking an adventure. The more standard dishes they brought to the other patrons also looked amazing. I need to come back, and if you have not been, this is a must go. Add this place to your list Oh yeah, get reservations!
Went there as a party of 12 - service was amazing! Great hangout spot.
We ve been dining at Ted s since it opened and have never had a bad meal . Ate there last evening and had one of the best meals I ve had anywhere. Blackened trout done to perfection, along with fresh berries , such an unexpected delight . Service top notch and friendly as usual . Thanks so much
Shockingly good food and great service. Will definitely be a return customer
Teds Diner is a restaurant that doesnt look particularly good from the outside. The interior is functional. But the highlight is the excellent food. Everything was very tasty. In my opinion, the prices are a bit high, which is probably due to the food on offer, which also includes exotic offerings. All in all a great restaurant.
Such an eclectic environment. The food was fantastic and so much more than anyone would expect for the remote location and rustic appearance!
Great food, great staff, would recommend this great restaurant to all
Had a birthday dinner for four of us best time ever !! The food and service were totally terrific the atmosphere is so unique and has been the same for many years. It is truly a great place to spend time eating. Jim Patterson
Absolutely worth the drive to Ted s. First the service by Nicole was great, her explanation of the various food on the menu was amazing. We will definitely go back again real soon.
Had a great meal here about a year ago. This time around was a huge disappointment. Frogs legs were overcooked, crocodile was bland and dry. We ordered two venison burgers which were delivered 20 minutes after the rest of the meal. The idea was to eat together! The burgers were like hockey pucks on a bun - dry, very well done and tasteless. And all this for four adults and two kids with tip for $500??? Dont bother with Teds anymore!
Party of 4. Unfortunately we were not impressed. Had read reviews and heard amazing things but were disappointed. Had to wait over an hour to receive our food. Two of us received cold and bland curry chicken. The other two enjoyed their bison burgers but not amazing. Had to go up to the counter to ask if we could pay our bill because we were left for a long time with no one returning to our table attention. I feel bad as I do not usually write reviews especially bad ones but I really would not recommend this place and I do not feel the need to return.
So much fun and awesome food
Probably the worst meal Ive had and then we were charged more than wed been quoted as a group. Undercooked salmon, tasteless rice, frozen vegetables. Dirty washrooms. Servers were pleasant but service was very slow. The whole experience in a word.... Yuck.
Getting pricey but it s so funky that you just have to go there once in awhile. Unique and authentic. Don t look too close at facilities. It is what it is! It works!
Had the wild boar ..........Delicious! Tried the bison it was fantastic. My new favorite restaurant in the Meaford Ontario area! Service was good and very friendly. This restaurant is a diamond in the rough.
Fresh beer, friendly staff, and interesting spot. Great for where it is, but not exactly the destination it was talked up to be. Food was hot and the oil for frying was clean, but the patties were dry and just seemed a bit off. Place was busy by the time we took off around 5:30, so you might need a reservation.
What a gem. Great food. Great prices. Did I say great? I meant fantastic.
Food was excellent! We had the crocodile and bison - unfortunately they were out of quite a few items. But what we ate was really good. BUT the restaurant needs a good cleaning. I get the whole rustic, Quonset vibe but there were nails sticking out of the walls, the tables were wobbly and the bathrooms were very dirty and outdated. A place can still be rustic and outdated but it should at least be clean. Overall, the staff was friendly, the food was great and we will likely return. Prices have significantly increased. I remember when I ordered the crocodile 2 years ago and it was $20 cheaper.
Steak was awesome! So were the stuffed mushrooms. Ive eaten here 7 times and have never been disappointed.
Best ever. Hands down Been going for over 15 years. Food
Family dine of 8 people. Food come wrong, order Bison Strip with a side of roasti which appetizers size instead got Bison Striploine. Return it and comeback without change instead just made it into cut. Still Charge full price. Yorkshire pudding come late while dinner plate is finish . We try to return it and waitress refuse and said its always come after as take 20 minute to bake the Yorkshire. While our dinner also come almost 30 minute so no reason to get the Yorkshire pudding 20 minute after the dinner come. Its should come with the meal. We ask for the spoon come tea spoon . Cant the waiters see we need it for meal not tea. The waiters ask if we are done while she saw 3 of them still eating from their plate. We understand if you rush when the restaurant full. But there are half empty. We always been come to Ted for years but after covid the price going up the roof which is fine if the quality and service at least remaind the same. However the service is bad and food is ok. I dont thinknits worth to go back.
Excellent variety of food! Delicious!
Amazing food, and friendly staff.
Great food! Fun atmosphere! Oh and Im not a very big dessert lover but they had some kind of puff pastry with raspberry jam and ice cream! It was so good!! Ive been craving it even weeks later! Parking: Parking lot right in front of the building.
Good food and service but they decided their own tip at18% and write it on your bill, which is a personal amount of the customer
Food: amazing food, with great variety! Very accommodating when asked, but everything is cooked to perfection: juicy chicken, perfect medium steaks, the cordon bleu looks amazing! The batter mushrooms, YUM. I want to try everything! Including the crocodile schnitzel Service: friendly atmosphere, run by a single family. Nicole made me a whiskey sour EXACTLY how I like it! And Im a bit particular about my whiskey sours. Atmosphere: this place best serves people searching for a hole in the wall thats more concerned with making great food than it is with keeping up with the Jones. Very clean, this place rocks exposed wood decor and stone flooring. The food feels like a 5 star restaurant, and the atmosphere feels like any occasion: could be a birthday, promotion celebration, family get together or just a Thursday
Unique decor. Food was good.
The two stars are for the service which was good. However, the food I just going to say it was disappointing.
A gem out in the middle of the countryside. Amazing food and great service. Try the bruschetta!!!
I ve heard nothing but good things about this restaurant and thought I needed to check it out. Our waitress was super friendly and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. We got the frog legs to start which were perfectly cooked, crispy outside and juicy in the middle. I had the kangaroo tenderloin with pasta on the side and both were fantastic! My girlfriend got the elk burger and poutine which she loved! Thanks again for the great meal!
Great food and service. Love this place.
Great experience! Great Service and yummy food!!!
Kid-friendliness: Nephew wanted a crocodile sandwich and they made it for him using the crocodile schnitzel. Food
Always great food.A little eclectic, that adds to the experience. Quite the menu. Will be going back for sure. Atmosphere
Kangaroo medium rare was excellent, escargot were the best i have ever eaten...contains mushrooms. Wheelchair accessibility: Main floor, lots space
Food was very well done. Bison sirloin was cooked perfect. Service was excellent and very friendly. Tables were turned over like clock work. If planning to be in the area, well worth calling a head for a reservation!
Incredible staff and food! We ll definitely be back
We visited a couple of times and the food has always been really fresh and DELICIOUS. The servers are super friendly and though the restaurant is small, it has a really neat vibe! The cheese baked chicken dinner might be the best chicken Ive ever had, and the coconut cream pie is worth taking an extra slice home
An amazing must try diner in Meaford, Ontario. We have enjoyed each visit we have made at this restaurant. The portion sizes are excellent, the prices are reasonable and you always feel valued by the staff. The staff make an awesome to make the experience a good one. We try and take all of our visiting out of town guests to this wonderful restaurant. We love the reactions from our guests when we pull in the parking lot. A must try!!! The only thing we miss is the alligator appetizer. Gone from the menu and that was huge hit every time.
The frog legs were fantastic
I have not been here in a while, but it is a fantastic place. Some wonderfully unusual things on the menu (sometimes they have alligator) as well as morestandard dishes. The building itself is different. It is an old metal quonset hut, very simple decor but I think it provides a great rustic atmosphere. Dont drive by the place, it looks sketchy but is anything but sketchy. Highly recommended.
Teds never disappoints. Great food, great staff, great atmosphere.
I was tell everyone about the place!
Amazing atmosphere and food! Dont judge a book by the cover!
Not sure I like the new look. Very busy Saturday night. Staff worked off their feet. Ran out of a lot of food which can only contributed to poor management not being prepared for the long weekend crowd. Will have to give it another shot but not in a big hurry.
Good night out. Took a couple hours from start to finish, so dont expect fast food. It was delicious and the serving sizes are huge, worth the wait for sure.
Didnt have alot of meals that were on the menu even though it was there first day open. My wife ordered elk medium and it came rare with alot of grizzle in it. Service was not the best as before. Not likely to go back
For the first time in 5 times dining at Teds our appetizers and also meals were significantly slow. That said, our servers were charming and attentive and apologetic for the slower service. This was an uncommon experience to me, because service and food quality has always been nothing less than top shelf. Servers are always charming and fun. I love this place, and one off their game experience wont keep me away.
Great place! Huge selection of wild game meat, prepared perfectly! Service is 5
I had the crocodile schnitzel and it was amazingly tasty. Two thumbs up form me
Very unique, off the beaten path, fun place to eat. Busy...which means popular.
We ve been to Ted s many times. We ve recommended it to friends. We booked reservations for 7:45. We were told to wait outside in the cold until after 8. The place was full, but not overcrowded. It took 15 minutes to have someone ask us if we wanted something to drink. When we placed our order it was over 90 minutes before we were served. During that time, the waitress Disney come by once. When the food arrived, it was terrible. The waitress served our meal and disappeared. We had to walk to the front desk to ask for condiments. We eat our regularly. We are easy going. We never complain. But to pay $200 for this horrendous experience is inexcusable. My daughter paid the bill and complained. The waitress shrugged her shoulders.
So so so delicious!
Fabulous
Ted s is a unique place with a unique menu. We loved it first time round. Second visit recently, it appeared that inflation might be taking its toll. Smaller portions, less good seafood in the bake. Prime rib a bit tough. Hopefully they get through this because they are super people and we want to support them.
Amazing!!! Such a fun vibe here. We had the Bison, first timers, it was sooo good! Friend had seafood bake, which was also really really good!! Carrot cake was one of the best Ive had! Fantastic service!!
Such a great experience and great atmosphere. A group of 6 of us went and had the best time trying new food. Waitress was fantastic, drinks were good. We will definitely be back.
If I could give -5 stars I would! Worst service, worst food what a waste of money! Prime rib was all fat, Greek dressing was spoiled and I m still waiting for my veggies! Our reservation of 30 ppl had to wait out side because our tables were still occupied. I had to ask the staff to clear them out and let us sit down. Now this was a birthday party for a 70yr young woman, half the party were elders forced to freeze outside waiting. My party was first to order but last to receive our meals 2 HOURS LATER! I mean we were the only patrons in the restaurant. Not to mention the server we had said she was going to be our server but she took our order and never returned! My fat came out on a single plate, no side was even provided. My ice tea was off! My Greek salad was spoiled, from the dressing to the brown romaine. No condiments, no butter, no drinks, no nothing! I had to get up and ask for my veggies, and still never received them. The servers yell out your meals to you, no organization, no professionalism, no respect! No one is expediting the food and doing quality checks! This place has gone down hill in the worst way! Ohh let s not mention I watched the cooks handle food with no gloves, no hair nets, no hats, not even an apron on. I ve eaten in third world countries and received WAY better service and food than this, what a dog and pony show! The server never bothered to rectify anything, she couldn t give two sh**ts. We were treated like second class citizens here! NEVER EVER EVER EVER going to return or recommend this place! They thoroughly enjoy taking folks hard earned money!!!
The Coconut Cream pie was amazing! Parking: Gravel parking lot. Food : 4/5 |
Being up on the base over a summer years back, I remember finally taking the plunge and eating there. It was fantastic. Fresh, delicious and great service and staff! The diner is one of the few things that made the base bearable.
My favourite restaurant. No one makes better Yorkshire Pudding than Ted s!
Delicious food, a bit pricey. But its definitely worth it. Interesting place if you want to try some exotic/tasty food. Bring your appetite as the portions are a good size.
Great food. I had the wings and they were awesome and crispy. Deep fried pickles are a huge win! I wasn t brave enough to try any of their Kangaroo or Frog legs ! The cheesecake was amazing
The most delicious meals and great atmosphere
Superb from start to finish. Service is prompt, unobtrusive, and the waitress was very helpful, able to provide good recommendations. The food was excellent. I had a bison steak, sautéed vegetables and a loaded baked potato. As an appetizer, I had a ceaser salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. The deserts are all in house I believe and some items sell out; I am looking at you Coconut Cream Pie. I made do with a delicious carrot cake. I have paid a lot more for a lot less quality. This place is a gem. The place was busy and they are only open four days a week so reservations are recommended. Parking: Big parking lot and no obstructions.
Excellent food. Excellent staff. Service was amazing. A 2 hour drive for us but we will come back for sure.
All the alternative meats you crave, and more! Incredibly wonderful service and amazing food, in a charming atmosphere. This should be your next night out!
Love this place!
Great food and fun menu!
The service was amazing. We had the friendliest waitress. This place is such a gem out here. Such an interesting menu carrying not your average meat variety, various drink options, and special events with live music. We had the mushroom caps, elk strips, calamari, prime rib, and kangaroo. Everything was deliciously cooked. Even the veggies on the side are perfectly flavored. If you are ever out here, it would be a tragedy not to visit.
Great food! Ted never disappoints
Service was very good. Menu is unusual but there is always something for everyone. My wife is a vegan and the chef made something she enjoyed.
Awesome. What an experience
Was so yummy portions are large and so tasty!!! This little restaurant is right beside Irish mountain Lookout. So just before you get up to the mountain lookout youll look to the left and its right there!!!
I have been twice to Teds since my review of 7 months ago. Again I have had the Bison (rare) with mash potato s and mix veggies. Both times the portions were such that I needed a take home box. Both times I was there with my sister and watched as her eyes rolled back in her head and a belt was loosened. Yes more take home box s. This latest time she invited a lady friend to join us. There were three take home box s this time. Don t ask me about the deserts as i have not been able to finish the main course in years. I think next time I will order the desert first. We did get the sea food bake to take home for our dad. This one dish fed both our parents with ease. A return visit for pick up has been requested. The food is great, the service is wonderful with the wait staff giving you just the right amount of time to socialize and discuss the menu. I have never been rushed, or had to wait for a table with a reservation.
Been here a few times over the years, never disappointed. Doesnt matter what Ive had off the menu, its always great.
Oh my I love this place. You gotta eat here!!
Incredible food, friendly service, and truly unique ambiance - we ll be back in a hurry!!
Awesome food, great service, incredible atmosphere!
Always a fantastic experience.. great food, outstanding service... unique atmosphere
Great food and service
A must! Great service and a menu unlike any Ive experienced before.
Had escargot and Crocodile Schnitzel it was absolutely off the hook.
Fun place. Great Food.
Great experience especially if you like wild game. Great service and friendly staff
Like no place on earth! A must see if youre in the area. The menu is astounding.
Great food. Excellent service. Will be back.
Several empty tables outside and in Would not accomdate- reservation only. Should post that online so people dont go out of their way like we did. Being out in the middle of nowhere youd think theyd want the business. Will not recommend- dont waste your drive Updated comment from the owner was not helpful whatsoever. Never said your team does not work hard. I am sure they do.. however for people traveling in the area and just happen to come across the establishment as a possible eating spot... not helpful. We were on a motorcycle and so were the two bikes behind us. We all got turned away. Its fine we spent our money elsewhere Have a great day!
Food was excellent. Comfortable atmosphere on the patio.
Great food and very friendly staff! We had frogs leg, crocodile and rib eye! All tasted so good! I will recommend this restaurant especially crocodile (must try!) to all my friends!
Best finding of our blue mountain trip. Will come back from Toronto just for the food. Quality of food worth the driving!
Kid-friendliness: Waitstaff were great with our kids
Ted s was highly recommended by friends who live close by and I agree. The atmosphere was really nice and servers were friendly and helpful. There was a very interesting menu (various game meats, escargots, etc.) and prices were very fair. Tried the kangaroo and elk, both were incredible. Good portions and sides were great. Good selection of beers as well.
OMG I can die now!!! Seafood Bake was incredible!!! Kangaroo was awesome!!! Lamb to die for and an entire rack!!! Pork Cordon Blue out of this world!!! I wish I knew about this place before!! Can t say a single bad thing about this place!! Let s not forget the service!!! Top notch!!!! Great Job Ted!!!
Food was great. Had the Pickerel that was cooked to perfection. Quite noisey, but otherwise a good meal experience. Open air out in country establishment. Quite unique atmosphere.. Parking: Lots of available parking
Great food. I highly recommend. The kangaroo was fantastic
We are glad we had the chance to make it back to Teds. We made the mistake of not having a reservation last year and didnt get the opportunity to enjoy this amazing place. Today was the day and we can scratch this off our bucket list. What an amazing experience. Thank you! Everything was perfect!
Bison, Elk and Bison dinners, l had the Elk with pasta it was amazing. This was my first time here and will make the 2 hr drive again.
We didnt have a reservation and had to sit outside. No problem when the weather is wonderful! Actually very well attended and a long waiting time wasnt a problem either, we had seen that and expected it. The food and drink was very tasty, we enjoyed everything and enjoyed it. Yes, its not cheap, but its special. We would like to come back, but we are just passing through. The conditions are all very friendly and hardworking! The only thing that deducts 1 star is that the starter and main course came together. Thank you for the lovely evening and all the best to you
Great food, great atmosphere!
Parking: Great food and wonderful view from patio... I love this place....you wont be disappointed!
Its Teds. Nothing more to say. Show up hungry
The large portions of tasty food served up by friendly staff are worth the wait at this road house style establishment. The outdoor patio is dog friendly (although some servers seem to take more kindly to them than others) and the interior of the diner is distinguished by fun and kitschy decor. Reservations are encouraged though due to the diner s relatively remote rural setting.
First time was told it was fantastic and it was. Huge selection of rare meats and fish. Such a great hideaway spot in the middle of nowhere. Make sure you get reservations place is busy. That in it self should tell you something. Staff are quite knowledgeable and fun. Thanks for having us!
Make sure you make reservation otherwise wasted trip. Parking: Lots of parking in field. Food : 3/5 |
What an awesome experience, the menu is extensive and everything on it looks great. I didnt dare go for anything exotic, but the Cajun prime was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The place is outside of Meaford feels like youre pulling up to some farm garage, but the decor is great. The kids loved the giant crocodile. The staff were friendly and we will definitely be back to try some more great food. Oh make a reservation. It fills up
Excellent all around - spoke with Ted a few times at the table concerning how he prepared the excellent food - met his daughter - very delightful time - highly recommend Teds place and his staff
Loved this spot!!! Fabulous service, interesting menu, amazing food, fun atmosphere!!! A must!!! Vegetarian options: Choices Parking: Lots of parking Wheelchair accessibility: Flat
Highly recommended by everyone who has been there. Didnt disappoint! The menu is just as special as the service. Great experience.
This is at least the fourth or fifth time we have been there . Its fun to try something new each time . I had the wild boar pork chop and my spouse had the crocodile schnitzel . Both were very good . Also lots of different vegetables cooked together to compliment the meat . For anyone that is looking to try more exotic meats , this is the place . Please note this is not a fancy restaurant by any means but the food is excellent . There were at least thirty people there when we were there Saturday night . Always a good idea to make reservations if you are planning to eat there and are travelling a distance . The place is not overly large .
Come here a couple of times & always had a good experience. It was before pandemic 2020 (thank Goodness). Good friendly service & yummy fresh food. Never disappointed. Look at the pictures. Don t they look awesome?!
Its all about the experience! The food is amazing, the atmosphere and staff put this place over the top.
What an absolute gem! This place is cozy, nostalgic and always serving up the most delicious comfort homestyle eats. The staff are friendly and always warm. The homemade horseradish is a hidden secret as well!
It doesnt get any better then this...highest recommendation
Great food, and protocols in place!
Great service, nice staff and food was amazing. Very well priced for the quality and rarity of the food. Definitely recommend the kangaroo
The food was awesome and the two girls ran the floor like Pros. We had a great evening.
Live music exotic food great time
Easily one of my favourite stops in the Blue Mountain area.
Amazing as always!!!
The primer rib and beef mignon did taste good but we arrived at 8pm and didn t get our main course until 9pm. Also I had finished my prime rib before I got their famous Yorkshire pudding. Thatchers lager is tasteless. Stick to Creemore.
Love to eat here! Great people, great service and great atmosphere
This place is what I would drive from Toronto to just enjoy the food, ambiance and location. Not to forget the superbly enthusiastic restaurant owner Ted. He takes the local charm of a Diner to a next level. Waiting for dine-in to start again. Highly recommend the Chicken Dinner with mashed Potato and gravy.
A gem!
Yesterday was our first visit to Teds and I have to say that I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food and the service we received. This is now our favourite restaurant in our wider area. I had the Cajun Prime Rib which was melt in your mouth tasty and my wife had the Seafood Bake which was chock full of multiple types of Seafood. Considering they only have 4 people working there right now theyre doing a phenomenal job. Well definitely be back again
I have made a point of visiting Teds just for the Beef Ribs. Well worth the trip. Which in my case is not far. Like to go mid week when it not as busy. My last two visits were for take out to eat in the car (it s a COVID thing). The food is fantastic. The atmosphere is great. No I am not talking about dining in my car. I told some friends about Teds and gave a few suggestions. They went and returned a week later. It s seems I missed out not telling them about the Cheese Cake, the Sea Food, The Steak. Well I never had room for the Cheese Cake. The shrimp is my secret vice. It s seems they spent the week sampling Teds Menu. They now know to invite me to tag along when they visit.
Cant ne topped ...theres no place thats finer than Teds diner
What a good time i had there. Nice staff, the chicken parm was very good. The band was amazing, seriously...wow !!!! Inside or outside dinner.
Excellent, from the service to the food huge portions, great for exotic food. Great atmosphere
Been coming here for years! Always a great meal here. Staff are great too. Never leave hungry at all. All there food is great, I get the Cajun steak and its great.
One of a kind place. We had a perfect time sitting outside on a beautiful late summer night. Good food and the staff couldnt have been friendlier. Definitely make a reservation in advance.
Best food Ever
Absolutely delicious and we loved the patio looming out over the fields and the water in the distance!!!!
Ive had a lot of food from a lot of restaraunts in Toronto from greasy spoons to fancy five star restaraunts that promise the best money can buy, and most of the time those places dissapoint. Teds is by far one of the best places I have had the pleasure of going to. Its says a lot when even the finest restaraunts in Toronto serve portions of generic quality, dressed up to look like works of post-modern art, fail to deliver on both quality and quantity in their meals, leaving people with dissapointed palettes, still hungry stomachs, and empty wallets. Teds has no such issues. Their portions are beyond generous. Their exotic game menu is not just a novelty to bring people in, it truly is a wonderful adventure to try. Hands down their crocodile schnitzel with cheese and mushrooms is mindblowing. Even the classic fare is just perfect. The beef ribs beat anything I have had ever had in Toronto both in size and flavour. This place is worth every penny. Their food is fresh and well prepared as can be. On my way in I saw one of their staff pick herbs that they seem to grow on site. Their lobster tail was fresher than anything I have had in Toronto, and I was told its a fresh catch from nearby. If half the gourmet restaraunts even put in the same level of effort into their cooking as I have seen here they would be worth the price. Sadly for them, this diner absolutely knocks them out of the water. I almost never do reviews but this place absolutely deserves one. Out of principle, even when I am full, I do my utmost best here to finish the main course because to me, not doing so would be an insult. I dont care what endorsements, gimicks, or reviews any of the other restaraunts, whether they be a hole in the wall to a gourmet restaraunt with a 1 year waiting list have, my question for anyone telling me to go some place will always be How is it compared to Teds?
Great food friendly staff always a good time at Teds
Food is very good, and a great place to go out with friends. Make reservations
The food here is second only to the staff, and the food is quite simply amazing! Loved the atmosphere of the patio, so laid back and welcoming. The staff were bright, friendly and so helpfull with their suggestions. The menu is extensive in its variety from common to exotic - think chicken wings to frog legs and T-bones to kangaroo, and the food is easily better than any restaurant I have been to in years. We had the seabass wrapped is potato rosti with horseradish crab sauce and the mountain of bbq beef ribs, and cannot say enough about the curry mussels as appetizer, they are bowl licking amazing (you can choose from several sauce options for the mussels if curry is not your preference). Take an adventure and discover Teds Range Road Diner, it will be one of the best meals and experiences you have!
Unbelievable all fresh great taste good experience
Eaten here many times tried a wide variety of meals from the menu. Always wanted to try their wild boar. They did not disappoint.
Great food Great prices Our waitress was fantastic
Very cool spot to eat. A menu like no other.. great service and the best food around!! This is a very unique dining experience.
The food was delicious. The service was great. I cant wait to go back!!
Great food and great service.
I very much enjoyed the meal I had there on a visit long ago.
Excellent service Superior food
Amazing experience! Staff was excellent. Have been wanting to try Teds for over a year. Make sure you make a reservation and check their Facebook page.
Super off beaten track food
Didn t actually get to try the food as I was refused service. Reason being they don t do takeout even though their profile says you can. Upsetting that the resteraunt has decided to do this escpecially during times of covid. Not many people are comfortable with dining in just yet. Disappointing
Food was so amazing! Huge portions and lots of selection. Well worth the money.
Great selection of food. Good service. Food tasted great.
Went to Teds tonight Oct 29th 2021 with friends two of us had the schnitzel with the rositi potatoes. One had the bison burger and the the other beef ribs. All of it was very yummy and the service was amazing. Great place to eat
Delicious as always I recommend it to our campers
Great food! Great prices! Great staff! Great atmosphere.
Arctic Char in a dill cream sauce
Brought friends for their first experience of Teds Dinner. They loved the atmosphere, the setting and the food (wild boar, crocodile schnitzels, kangooroo). I didnt really like the marsala sauce with my wild boar dish though - too sweet - maybe a peppercorn sauce would have paired better. Regardless, we love the place and will return.
Wonderful food! Well worth the drive.
Amazing as always! Thanks for another guaranteed great meal. We love coming here!!!
Excellent food and atmosphere
Food was OK to be honest. Cool spot, Ill give it 1 more try
Excellent. French Onion soup was fantastic.
The food at Teds is always amazing! Nothing about Teds is boring including the food. They have your standard choices like chicken parmesan & schnitzel, but there is so much more like bison, alligator, and even kangaroo ( ). Everything is always fresh. The pie in the picture is coconut cream pie and I have to say, it is by far the best coconut cream pie I have ever had!
Absolutely loved this place! Delicious food! Fun atmosphere! I wish there were more places like this, serving all sorts of wild game! Came here again for my birthday. Drew Teds attention by ordering two entrees (and polishing them both clean!). I love the game meat varieties and the way theyre prepared! Crocodile is my favorite! Melts in the mouth!!! Thank you for your great work!!!! Miss Piggy
Love this place the food is amazing
Looking at this place from the road, you may not think much of it. But this hidden gem not only has great tasting food, but massive portions.
Great exotic food. Love coming back to try new things.
Elk steak was amazing as was the staff!
Food is a festival of flavour and simply scrumptious. Do not miss this hidden gem!
