The worst chinese buffet I have ever had. Came in at 630 and the buffet was looking meagre...the lady said she would bring out some fresh food. Had wonton soup and was ok...everything else tasted like the day before yesterday.....dry and mushy. Told the owner that it was terrible aftaer not even eating 1/2 a plate....she decided to give me a discount and still charged me 20 bucks.....will never go there again and will not reccomend.
First time having Mongolian grill in the buffet, it was really good, the Mongolian sauce has a good spicy kick. There are a good variety of stir fried veggies in shrimp or chicken or beef, deep fried wings, dry ribs, dumpings, fried scallops, sesame chicken, ginger beef, hot & sour soup, wonton soup, dessert like cakes & swiss rolls, ice, cream, fruits, cucumber salad, devil eggs.
Loved it here, the Mongolian grill is really fun. Don't forget to put on a lot of sauce. If you think it's enough add an other scoop or two. Also noodles expand, be careful about taking too much! The normal section of the buffet is also delicious. The black bean chicken, dumplings, wonton soup were my favourites. The wontons in the soup taste home made. Very reasonable prices too. Don't let this little gem go unnoticed, definitely worth visiting.
I love this place. It’s not just Chinese food. They have a Mongolian grill and cook your food from fresh ingredients right in front of your eyes. The staff is friendly. This is a buffet style restaurant but you can also order from their menu and get take out or delivery. Prices are about average. Sept 20/24. Was here again on the the weekend. The staff has changed a bit but the food is still really good and plentiful. Ate a lot of food from the Mongolian side. Added a little extra garlic and oyster sauce. Sooooo good.
I love Chinese and thought let's give this place a try. They offer the buffet and normally I just would say yes to the buffet but this time something told me to check it out first. So I walked around check to see what they had to offer. They have a good number of items but there wasn't much in each tray and what was there looked dry. So I opted for the menu and ordered the Deep Fried Wontons and Combo Fried rice and chicken balls and Ginger beef. The Wontons were pretty good but not what I am use to as they had a very light texture and not crunchy the red sauce was good and there was a lot. The fried rice was good as fried rice gets the chicken balls were ok but some what cooked long enough as it was still doughy. But the ginger beef was good. One thing that bothers me was the gentleman cooking on the grill had ear buds in while waiting on us. Here a few photos of the menu and my order. Will I be back well had to say I might give them one more try.

Always go here I love the food. When I order the food comes hot and not overcooked. If you want a spicy treat try the Szechuan Shrimp with vegetables. I always get the beef and broccoli and chicken with mixed vegetables.
BEST ASIAN BUFFET IN SOUTHERN ALBERTA!!! We visited here now 2 times within a month, and wow is all i can tell about the food! They have fresh foods for the fire grill, wich u sort and take urself and u will only have to give it to the cook and they will serve it later at ur table. In the meantime u can pick some warm appetizers out of the great buffet. Lots of choice, and there is lots of choices for dessert for after. I cant give 6 stars otherwise this would be the 1st company i would give it to! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Went there on a whim cause its across from the hotel, and was not disappointed. The buffet was amazing, lots of delicious seafood, great rice and noodles, and really good ginger beef!

We visited on a Sunday evening around 6pm. We were told the buffet was good. What annoys me more than anything is when you go to a buffet and the trays are almost empty and dried out. What was left was the usual deep-fried food. There was nothing there I could look at my husband and say, wow did you try the ?? There was also a Mongolian grill available at this restaurant that we werent told about. I would have preferred that to the buffet but we didnt know it was available. The place itself is tired and worn. Probably wont go back.

An absolute dismal experience. Buffet was empty and only small amounts were being brought out to the buffet. Stir fry grill was being operated by what appeared to be the dishwasher. This was a Saturday night around 6pm. No excuse.

We tried them for the first time this past weekend. We ordered take out and the food was awesome. Very hot and fresh. The chicken and beef were both fresh, no day old taste like some places I have had it from before. Pickup was exactly when she told us! I would highly recommend it
went for buffet, price comparable to other Chinese buffets nearby but food decidedly inferior. almond chicken over cooked and dry, fried rice had vinegary taste, chow mein mediocre. we won t be back.

We have tried to make it to this restaurant for a couple of years now from out of town. We were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly. The buffet was better than 10/10. It s the best Chinese food Ive had in years. My husband had the Mongolian grill as well as items from the buffet. He loved it. I highly recommend you give this restaurant a try. My husband and I already have plans to stop in next year as we drive through the City. We can t wait!

Just ordered their food Its absolutely fantastic, the service was fantastic truly disappointed in a matter of a short period of time the portions went from a decent portion worth the price size to less than half size. Prices go up. portions get smaller its insane. Although I love the food I wont order again. When the portions match the prices again I will order.

Mediocre at best. Not the kind of Chinese food I m used to. Not sure why it s considered one of the best in Medicine Hat but to each their own tests I guess. Ordered online which was very easy to do, delivery was prompt. I ll be looking for a different Chinese restaurant to order from.

Truly one of our top chinese restaurants in town. My family has been eating at Rickis restaurants for about 20yrs, just absolutely terrific people and staff, very friendly. I especially love the Mongolia grill and you will not find another one anywhere in town. The food is fresh and delicious with great flavors of sauce i love the build a bowl super fun. Great atmosphere, great people, excellent service and of course awesome delicious food!!
Soooo good! Chicken balls were big and full of chicken. I also got veg chow mein and it was the best Ive ever had. Huge portions! Next time Im back in medicine hat, I will be back to try more things!

We were driving back to Saskatchewan from Arizona and had been craving Chinese food for two days. We stopped in Medicine Hat, AB overnight and I googled Chinese restaurants and Asia Garden was very close to our hotel. With the buffet now reopened we thought we should try it and so glad we did. The food was hot and plentiful with many many choices and the flavours were amazing. One of my all time favourites is Ginger Beef and the GB at Asia Garden may have been the best I have ever had. The next time we pass through Medicine Hat we will plan to arrive at meal time. Highly recommend!

Meh, the Chinese food is just meh. The chicken fried rice is a bit greasy, chicken balls a bit too crispy and the vegetables taste too fishy.

I asked if I could have the buffet to go. I guess I should have clarified what size container I would be getting to fill, mind you I did expect to pay a fair amount knowing I wasn t getting the full luxury of a buffet. So I paid $22 + tip, & they brought me the medium rectangle container that the restaurant I work in uses to pack up sides of fries and side salads to go & a soup bowl. I wouldn t have been able to fit a fair portion of rice and 2 items in the container she brought me. I commented that I would have got significantly more food had I ordered the combo dinner and paid significantly less. She was extremely rude, I asked for my money back and left without dishing up any food. The full size meal container would be fair at $22, the medium sized one is absolutely ridiculous.

My wife and I had the opportunity to enjoy the food from Asia Garden over a week ago and hands down they have some of the best food we have had in years! It was fresh, hot, flavourful; plus very generous portions. The people were friendly and the service was outstanding! We are from Calgary and Asia Garden beats any of the dozen of Asian restaurants we have tried here. Definitely, top drawer! Rhonda and Sean

Good buffet, very inexpensive. Lots of selection with the Mongolian grill, and they can do gluten free no problem, you just have to let them know. The owners are awesome and service is great. Their wings are excellent... Havent ever had a bad meal there and were foodies who eat there regularly. The new decor really spruced the place up!

Today i ordered some young chow fried rice, and two orders of chicken chow mein. Great food and i cant find a single negative thing to say about my experience today. I found my chow mein and my rice to contain more meat and vegetables then ive gotten from other restaurants as well, they arent skimping on the good stuff!! I enjoyed my food, and ill definetly order again!!

Food was expensive for the quality. I spent $100 for the 6 person and Calamari. I was excited for a no MSG restaurant!The ribs were dry and tough. Calamari was rubbery and super greasy. Rest of the food was tasteless. Half the food seemed like it was recooked and stale. I will say the staff were great and place was clean! Nobody got sick which was a plus! Unfortunately I will not be returning.
DONT GIVE THE TIPS ONLINE, give the tips directly to the delivery guy. Both time I ordered I gave 5 $ tips and the restaurant just put the bill higher and gave 2$ to the drivers.

Without a doubt the best house special chow mein I have ever had! I order regularly from them and always have a great meal! Great customer service and very pleasant to deal with! Would highly recommend!

One of the best chinese restaurants in town. Price is great for being an all you can eat. If I am going in to a restaurant to eat this is my go to. Honestly never got take out. But sure it is just as good. Along with the chinese buffet side you get a Mongolian grill option. Never been disappointed in the food.

Decided to get Chinese food tonight. Tried 2 other restaurants all of which were closed so ordered from Asia Garden even though its a bit far and was worried food would be cold. What an awesome surprise! Food was so damn good. Hot. Free delivery and free deep fried wonton. New go to for Chinese food. So impressed!

My children took me out for my birthday.Service was good,buffet was also good.I was VERY disappointed with the mongolian grill.My chicken was rubbery and chewy.My children had the beef and pork dishes.They also said their meat was chewy and didnt taste right.The explanation was the meat was marinated.However weve eaten there many times and never had the meat taste like that or with that texture.Will not eat there again.

Amazing food as well as staff! Servers are consistent with refilling drinks and checking in on each table as well as extreamly kind! I absolutely love the fact o can purchase a buffet to go box instead of having to sit in when I dont exactly feel like it . The food is fresh and definitely made my night! I will definitely be back!!! Also best of the best owners! I love that I can chay with rocky and susan like family!! Highly recommend

The place is nice and clean. It is not too big, but it can hold a reasonable number of people. The staff are friendly, and they are ready to help you. The food is tasty, and they have a reasonable amount of variety. The highlight is the Mongolian grill where you can choose your ingredients, and they will cook it for you.

This is a resteraunt that provides good food at a reasonable rate, not fancy dining but clean and tidy, my favorite is the Mongolian grill where you pick your own ingredients and sauces and they cook it , YUM YUM.

Some of the best Chinese food I have ever had. That is saying something, as I have gone to school in the lower mainland on the west coast and it beats many places in Vancouver. The sesame seed chicken was the perfect texture, it is a must!
