Amazing Fries and Excellent Service! New York Fries at Medicine Hat Mall has become my go-to spot whenever I'm craving the perfect snack. Their fries are simply out of this world—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and always served with the perfect amount of cheese and gravy! Whether you're enjoying them with just a sprinkle of salt or loading them up with all their delicious toppings, you can't go wrong. What really sets this location apart, though, is their incredible service. The staff is always friendly, quick, and genuinely seems to care about ensuring you have the best experience. A big shout out to Harnorr, Darvinder, Armritpal, Danren and Rajbir for always treating us with great respect and friendly conversations. I never have to wait long, and they always serve with a smile, which makes a big difference. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows in the quality of their fries and the warmth of their customer service. Visited the Mall and decided to get food while there. We had Harnoor serve us. Very friendly and happy guy. Great customer skills. Had the loaded hotdogs and the works for fries. Certainly going back.
Not a big fan of fries with skin on, but the loaded hotdogs are the best! Harnoor always has a friendly smile and provides great service.
After tryouts , what better way to treat a team of hungry tweens? Always smiling and happy to help, Rajbir made delicious suggestions from the New York Fries menu and waited patiently for them to place their orders. The chef 🧑🏼🍳 works fast to ensure short waiting times, but always uses fresh cut potatoes and produce. The hotdogs are as generously sized as the fries and no one will ever go hungry afterwards! My personal favourite is the poutine that comes pretty close to Québécois claim to fame. I usually take the leftovers out and after a minute in the microwave I am ready to watch the Oilers playoffs in the Stanley finals. Most enjoyable! [Please give a 👍 if you agree]

Should be ZERO stars. Vegetarian gravy? Are you kidding me? Major disappointment. This place used to be good, now it terrible!!! Went from a not too bad of a place to a complete s^*thole. I will never eat here again nor will my children, my Childrens children, and my childrens childrens children.

The staff are always pleasant, friendly, kind and prompt. I really like Hanroops positive, awesome attitude. They go above and beyond. Another great experience. Davinder, Tanveer and Amrit were wonderful as usual. Great young men. Thank you for always being so kind and cheerful. Vegetarian options: Veggie fries, gravy is also vegetarian. Awful attitude from the staff while ordering my food, created a huge scene for new reason, the guy was extremely unprofessional when more customer proceeded even he was speaking in his language instead of English.
The staff has alot of work on, very unwelcoming environment, bad attitudes and no smiles at all, wont be eating here again. And also stop asking your customers to leave reviews to make this place seem better because this place doesn t deserve that.

Going on a date and dont want to eat or feel like a bloated pig? Go to NYF. Gone there most of your life and know who makes them best? Go to NYF. Want to see how many levels of incredible that their new double poutine is like, frens, get to NYF! We surely mostly agree that this joint does one thing better than the rest-and it aint the tube steak spinning near the till. If you know of a place that can stand on oar with the masters, name them. NYF is a one trick pony but they do a great trick...I know Im not the only ex Mallrat that lived on and for their cheese fries decade or 2 back . Gravy tastes anything but natural but maybe thats a good thing and the cheese still sqeaks. 10/10 and always have been that way. Long live the king!

Made the unfortunate decision to stop here for a quick lunch on our way through town this past Sunday (Jul 21). The fries were so overcooked for our poutines (my son and I) that the fork barely pierced them (many it couldnt). If not for the lineup and lack of desire for anything making our seven hour road trip any longer, I would have complained. Looking forward to trying another location to make sure this isnt the new standard (used to love NYF, but couldnt even finish it this day).
