Service was slow for our party. They ran out of 20 0z glasses for beer. My steak was ordered MR came out MW WD (MR=mid rare MW= mid well WD= well done). Appetizers were good crab dip was amazing.
I rarely leave reviews but I have to this time! I’ve been on a trip around Canada for a while now so when arriving to hotel I decided to go have some food at Redwood. I got their Sunday special, picture below, and a drink. I was immediately welcomed with a complimentary cold soup and bread, drink came right after and not too long after the food was ready. It was a delicious meal, but the reason why I’m leaving this review here was the service. Server Davi was an absolute pleasure to be served by. Not too much or not too little, just the right amount of hospitality! Attentive to detail and positive vibe! I’m sure all servers are great in this place! If you’re in Medicine hat I highly recommend trying this place out. I will, when ever I’m in town.
We were able to make a reservation for our party of 6 easily and quickly over the phone. A real person promptly and professionally set it up and it all was correct and perfect when we got there. All the service staff we dealt with were accommodating and helpful. Theressa was our server, and was experienced, knowledgeable about the menu choices and we were glad we took her advice on the choice of entrée. The food was excellent and the service even better. The chef came right to our table and all the staff made our meal a highly enjoyable experience. Highly recommend the Redwood Steakhouse!
I'll start off by recognizing the friendly staff, they made the dinning experience great. Like the hotel, the restaurant is showing lots of wear and tear and in need of upgrading. As for the food, it was OK but not worthy of more than a 3 star review. I think the prices were out of line for what you get...I ordered the surf and turf as it said it came with prawns...I know the difference between prawns and shrimp...what was served were shrimp, not even jumbo shrimp that may have fooled most people. Not sure how this place is recognized as one of the top steakhouses in Medicine Hat, hate to see what the other places are like if they are compared to this place.
Price was reasonable. Service is courteous and prompt. Meal presentation was perfect. Had prime rib, cooked medium. Hopefully it was a one-off, but the toughest prime rib I have ever eaten with a large chunk of gristle. The Yorkshire pudding was overcooked, and had 1/4 inch of scorch right into the inside, instead of being soft and fluffy.
Redwood Steakhouse is touted as one of the finest in Medicine Hat. Our experience was less than stellar and ruined our 10 year anniversary dinner. We ordered the Tomahawk steak for two. It was professionally delivered, carved and sliced at our table. The steak looked lovely and delicious, however it turned out to be slightly over done which was ok because of the searing hot cast iron pan it was served in. The big trouble came when most of the steak was extremely tough and inedible. The server wanted to fix it but was told that the kitchen would not make another tomahawk steak because it was a new batch and they wanted to consult with the supplier. They offered to make us a different cut so my wife ordered the tenderloin and I ordered the ribeye. When the steaks arrived they looked nice and dressed. The tenderloin turned out to be WAY over done. It was hard dry and cooked solid right through. For a second try, I don't believe this to be an accident. My ribeye was smaller than advertised but properly cooked. I shared this with my wife as she couldn't eat hers. No offer was made to replace the tenderloin. The service was minimal as the server was embarrassed and tried to validate the mistakes with excuses from bad supply to training new staff. She asked us on the way out not to base this experience on the ability of the restaurant. Our baked brie and Caesar salad were nicely made and delicious. We were charged $117 dollars for the experience which included the credit for the Tomahawk and the tenderloin. The desert was also on the house.
It was absolute pleasure to meet chef Krish Nair the Chopped Canada winner at Redwood Steakhouse and Bar. He is a humble and down to earth person. Thank you for the delicious dinner, it was a fulfilling experience. Highly recommended to friends and family if you guys are visiting Medicine Hat. Chef have the best team and in the menu they have all the best items so it was so confusing to choose. Will see you soon Again for trying new things.😊
I stopped going to this restaurant about 2 years ago due to poor food. Tonight we decided to give it a try on the recommendation of a friend. I was very impressed with the whole meal experience. The staff was friendly and efficient, the quality of the food was very good and the presentation was done well. I had the chicken cordon bleu and the chicken was real chicken not reformed chicken. My wife had the Sir loin and found it tender and tasty. We will be making this one of our regular stops.
The food isnt good at all, the service was abrasive, and the food gave me mild food poisoning. Its not as high class as they think they are. Do not recommend.
Terrible quality steaks, literally the cheapest frozen steaks you can get from SYSCO at a 4-5x mark up on their menu
Great service and food. We were entertained by a wonderful guitarist and singer. Will stop again. They are trying very hard
They were closing at 10pm we rolled through late to hotel. They allowed us to come in at 9:45pm and have a lovely steak dinner and wine. That kind of service is not seen often. Thank you!
The food was good and the service was excellent. Thanks to Theressa for the great service and food recommendations.
We ordered the tomahawk ribeye for 2, medium rare. It was probably the toughest ribeye I have ever had and there was a lot of gristle, the cap was nonexistent.
Food couldve been a bit warmer bit it was good quality, generous servings and presented nicely. The prime rib special was a great deal!
Signature burger was amazing!
Great brunch on Saturday morning.
Had no servers working so the wait was ridiculous. Food was very mediocre, bland and tasteless. 60 bucks for one person is fine if the food is decent. It s not. Threw it out and went elsewhere.
Had a reservation. We were seated on time. Did not see a server for 15 minutes and when we did she deferred our drink order twice. We did not receive drinks until 1 hour after we sat down. Even then they missed a drink and never realized it. The food came quickly. Tasted the calamari it had absolutely no seasoning. The Prime Rib special was dry and over cooked. The Yorkshire pudding was harder than crackers. The risotto side tasted like chalk and was undercooked. The star of the meal was the garlic mash!! Amazing!! The service was mediocre, but okay considering it was new years. Thanks Theresa Overall, would not go back.
Went to eat with my family, we all got horrible food poisoning the next morning. We each ordered a different cut of steak, one of which was completely rotten, smelt, looked and tasted like literal rotten meat. The other also being inedible. I actually thought my steak (surf & turf) was okay, however I woke up in the middle of the night throwing up for hours on end. My father had to go to the ER after a bite of his rotten steak. After they comp d the two meals, this bill was still $125. Insanity. My nephew (8 months) was with us and is now also horribly Ill after eating a few mashed potatoes. The staff then proceeds to belittle the situation saying, every cut came from the same piece of meat. However I work in a restaurant and knowing meat is portioned in the mornings and then set aside, I am sure this was an old rotten cut of meat and the restaurant failed to take responsibility and now my family is paying the price. Not to mention this was NYE, now my whole family is bed ridden and almost being taken to the hospital on New Year s Day. Horrible experience, horrible food, I fully expect compensation as we still had to pay $125 bill, and we re staying in the hotel for two nights and my parents Can no longer enjoy their visit with their grandson over the holidays. Do not go here unless you want to be bed ridden for days with no appetite
We were craving prime rib so decided to try Redwood. We had reservations so we were seated quickly. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a complementary appie of sushi in spoons. Very nice. We decided to order the Charcuterie board for 4 as the waiter said the kitchen was a bit backed up. It was a good decision. We loved all the different meats and cheeses. It even had a few slices of chilled duck breast! Very nice! Unfortunately the food fell down from there. My brother-in-law and I had the prime rib and we were both disappointed in the meat. It was a poor quality cut of meat, chewy and flavorless. My husband and his sister both ordered the spaghetti and meatball dinner. Nothing special there, boring and not enough sauce. Service was good and very friendly staff. They just need to put more care into the main courses.
The waiter was nice but at the beginning we were not welcomed at all waited for a while to be sitted and after calling for some attention were helped with no even a tiny smile. Was going to order my favorite monte Cristo coffee but informed that it was late to order drinks like that (9:07pm) Overall, the food was ok
Had Arctic Char tonight
What a joke. Just ordered the half chicken. It was over cooked and dry. Came with no joke a small tablespoon of very dry mashed potatoes. And a teaspoon of some frozen corn, carrot cubes and beans that were colourless and overcooked to the point of falling apart. I would be disappointed if this was served to my granddad in the nursing home! I can t stress enough how horrific this meal was!
I highly recommend dining here. The tenderloin steaks were so juicy and tasty. The chocolate opera cake is to die for! Also our server Miryam was so helpful and attentive . She also gave us good recommendations for our appetizers and main course. The food was very high quality and flavorful. The service was exceptional. Would go again and highly recommend!!
Best food I have had in Canada.
Mushroom soup was gritty and tasted like dirt. Waitress was rude.
Ate here with my son. Waitress was great; friendly. I ordered the Sunday special prime rib and it was overcooked. My son ordered the salmon and the portion was honestly pretty small for the price.
I best thing about this place was the cheese bread and the only reason for 2 stars. The Salmon was undercooked and on top of that I waited 20 minutes before I had to ask for a manager! A few servers walked by and no one even looked my way. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
Excelente, good food, nice clean, very good customer service
Overcooked over priced
food, service and atmosphere was awesome
We had a great experience. Delicious steak and more. Vegan options and kids menus at $10 make this a good fit for a variety of tastes. Recommended. Vegetarian options: Clearly marked vegetarian and vegan options Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with a choice of burger, chicken tenders, pasta with butter, or cheese pizza.
Great food and service , disappointing no more brisket was on the menu.
Booked this place for my wife s birthday and informed them this at the time of booking. Wasn t expecting the world but just a happy birthday from the server would have made all the difference. They brought our mains out before we had finished our appetizers making us feel rushed. Once our initial drinks were ordered and delivered, we were not offered another throughout the whole service. I thought this would be a special occasion as it s supposed to be one of the top places to go, and with the prices I expected an experience to reflect this. Disappointed is an understatement.
Great meal with speedy attentive service. Wish the swimming pool was further away but...
WARNING! If you like Nursing Home cafeteria food disguised as a Steakhouse, then this is the place for you! Absolutely horrible food. The $50 steak was 1/4 inch thick, unseasoned, and not even cooked properly. The mashed potatoes literally tasted as if they came out of a box, and the chicken was drier than a popcorn fart. Dont even get me started on the glue like paste that they called risotto, it literally made both my husband and 9 year old gag. Also dont believe their menu if you are Gluten Sensitive or especially if you have Celiac Disease. They claim items are GF but then they cook those items in the same fryer as everything else. So ridiculous. Biggest waste of $150 at restaurant we have ever spent so I encourage you to take your hard earned money and go somewhere else where they care about the quality (and safety) of the food over cutting corners for profit.
Ordered the new York strip loin, medium rare. First steak came out Grey all the way through, sent back and second came extremely rare, neither steak were even close. Was given a $16.00 discount on the $41.00 meal because no steak was eaten so paid $25.00 for a small ceasar salad and small portion of mashed potatoes. Also, were told that all starters are on for 50% off, we were charged full price for ours. Dont waste your time or money here, the keg is WAY BETTER for the same price.
Theressa is a lady with excellent service, very enthusiastic and professional. The food is also very delicious. Will visit again next time !
We just ate at your restaurant my wife had the jambalaya and I had the seafood fettuccine, for dessert my wife had the Bailey s chocolate cheesecake and I had the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream both our meals were delicious, our group all enjoyed their meals so we ll definitely be coming back another day it was a all round good experience.
Overpriced and pretentious, trying to be something it isnt.
Eaten here a few times and just had the Tomahawk steak! Absolutely amazing! Highly recommend this restaurant and the steak
Was very excited to have my first ever Tomahawk steak for my birthday. We ordered it rare and it literally came out well done. We told and showed two different servers and we could have even been happy with medium if need be but well done is unacceptable. The servers talked to the manager and all we were offered in compensation was a free dessert which we declined as we just wanted to leave at that point. The servers were super apologetic and said they were sorry as that cook on the meat was unacceptable to them as well, so It wasnt their fault. Anyway, I still will give two stars as the sides were really good but when you pay 100 dollars for a steak and its all but uneatable it is still very disappointing. Wont be back which is a shame.
Excellent food. Good portions. A little expencive for what you get but totally worth it for a good meal and avoiding covid regulations
Service wasnt great, steaks were over cooked but the waitress didnt come back to see how the food was for 20 minutes. Ordered the log cake dessert and it was incredibly small for $10. Just because you hike up your prices, doesnt mean youre a fancy steak house.
Awesome food and amazing staff
Terrible food for the price do not go here
We were there for a supper club members birthday and it was absolutely fabulous from the egg & bacon waffle to the coffee and chocolate log! Had to roll myself out of the place! We will be back ... And back soon!
A very disappointing g evening. We understand Father s Day may be busy but our meals were not good. We ordered the prime rib special in medium. The meat was dry and more than well done. Yorkshire puddings we re dried out. Potatoes and vegetables were cold. Our server as lovely but we won t be back.
We decided to eat here since we were staying at the lodge already. It was also kids eat free with every adult entree, which was nice. We had good service despite it being slow. It ended up getting very busy in there so Im assuming this is why. Our wine was good. The kids food seemed OK. My expensive chicken dish was quite small for the price and my potatoes (which were deep fried in some sort of batter) were frozen in the middle. They offered to get me new ones but we had a 1 and 3 year old and didnt have more time to waste waiting. Our server was very sweet though.
Had the ribeye steak and seafood fettuccine. The steak was flat as a board and not cooked right. The seafood was overcooked. The pasta came out cold and cheese on top was rock hard. Sent both back and got a burger. The burger didnt look good but was actually good, so were the fries. They did comp my burger.
We went for our anniversary supper. We had our eyes set on the tomahawk steak for 2. They were out of it. So we ordered the steak frites, and the short ribs. Zero taste, actually that s a lie the steak tasted like burnt charred grossness. We are foodies, we rarely complain but for the price you pay this was hugely dissapointing. We won t be back.
The watermelon salad was really good and I enjoy my food. The ladies were really nice too us
Fairly expensive and the steak was poorly prepared and tough, pork belly was cold and bland. Save the time/money and hit the Wendys across the street.
5 stars for the prime rib!! Succulent! However, 3 stars for the Antipasto Platter. Of the 12 items only 4 qualified. No roasted vegetables, no olive variety, no Regiano Parmesan cheese, no antipasto sauce. XX Ritz Crackers, smoked ham & soft grapes? XX Apart from grapes, ingredients were fresh & nicely displayed. Posted photo is of genuine antipasto platter we ordered in July from an Italian supplier. Mildly disappointed with RWS&B.offering, but we did eat it. Maybe a rename would be in order? Parking: Ample.
Excellent steak! Stuff does great job - we had 13 ppl going for supper, were sitted w/no problem. Kids meals ready fast (nothing worse that a hungry kid haha). Overall very happy with dining experience, food quality and pricing.
Went there on sun and the beef was tough. And not much of a selection of food for Thanksgiving meal. Veggies not cooked good and salads no good. For what we got prices too high.
$110 tomahawk steak dinner was surely not to die for. Overcooked and tastes like dirty grill. Salads were exceptional as well as most sides. Service was great though! Not sure Id eat here again...
Great food most of the time but kitchen inexperience is unfortunate for those diners who are spending 50$ a plate. Tonight there were several errors on our meal such as our medium steaks being blue rare and our lobster having the sauce we requested to have on the side resulting in not eating it, these were the kitchens mistakes and as such the waitress shouldn t be required to tip the kitchen out. Tonight I tipped my waitress more than my meal cost, not the kitchen. I was compensated for the several meal errors that were no fault of my waitress, but I do not wish to reward the kitchen for making said errors and therefor I wanted my waitress to keep 100% of the tip that I gave her. Learning that they are required to tip out regardless of circumstances such as these is unfortunate. Also, the hostess is never waiting and we typically stand for awhile before she comes out from wherever she is. I will say the food is typically great so long as the kitchen is paying attention to any meal mods. I recommend the tomahawk steak to any first timers to Redwood. The servers are excellent, attentive, and friendly. The decor is much improved since the jungle café days, but it would be of great benefit to completely separate the restaurant from the hotel with walls so that it doesn t smell like chlorine and we don t have to enjoy fine dining while listening to the echoes of children screaming in the pool area.
Went out with a party of 6 for a birthday dinner. The birthday person had a gift certificate for the Tomahawk Steak which he wanted to use. (Last time he tried to use it they said it Tomahawk was not available) The service began alright, but became less attentive as the meal progressed. Two people shared the Tomahawk steak dinner. Two of us each had the 10oz ribeye steak, Another had the spaghetti and meatballs, and the other meal was the seafood platter. All steaks were ordered medium rare, with only the Tomahawk even coming close. The other two ribeyes were in the well done range, charred and had no pink to them at all. The couple that had the Tomahawk said it was bland and had better $5 steaks in other restaurants. The seafood platter with shrimp, salmon and lobster was also very dry and butter was not received for use with the lobster. The spaghetti sauce was almost non existent and the meatballs were also dry and tasteless. Did not even finish 1 of the 2 meatballs as there was a lack of sauce and very dry. The chef s vegetable amounted to 1/2 a small carrot cut lengthwise and a couple sprigs of broccolini on the plates. The only thing that looked good was the initial presentation, and then it was tasteless and downhill from there. The server seemed to disappear and we waited several minutes to request the bills and a take out box ( to take home the uneaten spaghetti & meatballs, guess they will put sauce and give the meatballs some taste at home). Finally after 3 trips we received the takeout box and bills. To my surprise the one Ceasar cocktail was $10.50! Overall summary mediocre service, poor food preparation, not good value for the money compared to other steak houses in Medicine Hat, and will not need to go back.
Terrible, barely no sauce on pasta, no taste, they served burnt garlic bread, food came out cold minutes after placing order! My wife was physically sick after meal.
Been wanting to try the tomahawk for quite awhile so we decided to splurge on supper, staff: super friendly, professional and attentive Food: cooked to perfection, flavourful, generous portions mango cheesecake was so good it was ridiculous Atmosphere: quiet, cozy, comfortable The executive chef even stopped by the table to check in on how our meal was. 100% will return!
Terrible, I kept biting tiny pieces of shell in my pasta so I didn t even eat it. I m very very unimpressed with how my dish was. Could even have the time of day to take the shells out of the dish :/ crunching my teeth every other bite so I just didn t even bother with it.
Fine steaks indeed
Good food but was served warmish, definitely not hot to table. Service was ok.
Good Meal
Very fast and good
The food took forever from time of ordering to being served. The very expensive steak I ordered was cold and not worth the price being charged. My wifes chicken cordon blue looked very anappetizing and tasted about as good as it looked. I would never go back this place. Ever!!!
This restaurant adds little to no value to the Medicine Hat culinary scene. Would not recommend. We dined here while staying at the Medicine Hat Lodge and were surprised how poor the quality of food and service was. The calamari was dense, and more reminiscent of chicken. Their bar was old, and quite dusty. This place is a relic, and not in a good way.
Restaurant has a very small selection of food. Only Three appetizers?
I used to love this place but this visit wasnt great. Service was slow, food was slow, the ice cream drink wasnt actually made with ice cream and instead liquid ice cream mix making it disgusting. The food was pretty good though a little over priced. Id go again but it had better stand out that time or it will be my last.
Although they were understaffed and very busy, our service was excellent. Our food was great. The prime rib special is amazing; if i had one critique it would be more of advice than a critique: dont bother with the roasted fingerlings and get yourself some of that garlic mash instead. Best mashed potatoes Ive ever had in a restaurant, hands down. This coming from a self proclaimed Potato Princess. Everything was really good and family friendly. Thank you for the great dinner and for being a part of our road traveling memories!
Excellent!!!
Creative and very delicious recipes. We arrived after a large group of baseball tournament families had just finished. We were seated and waited over an hour for our meal. We had to go and find a server to order after 20-30 minutes or so, as their attention was on clearing the other tables. Alerting us to their situation could have allayed our concerns. They did kindly comp a drink and a dessert for the delay. Such an experience will not dissuade us from returning many more times.
Prime rib was over cooked - asked for medium rare and got well done - it definitely fried in oil rather than just a straight cut off the roast which is not how you serve prime rib - taste was good and was tender just don t fry it ceasar drink was $15.75 (2 oz), wasn t notified it was 2 oz as preferred 1oz drinks wife s prime rib was extremely thin and again over cooked we won t be back !!!
We had a great meal! Our server Peggy was Excellent! Great service! Well be back!
Fantastic food. The Tomahawk is absolutely worth it for a nice treat.
Food wasnt that great and over priced
Was not open Monday when I stayed there. What kind of steakhouse is not open on a Monday???
Fantastic service and meal! Peggy is the best waitress. Friendly and attentive.
Love their food, so yummy. Its more expensive then say IHOP but you get what you pay for thats for sure
gracias por el buen servicio. Main chef was out of town and food was overdone particularly the steaks, but everything else was very good
Worst food I d ever had. Waited 3 hours for it the lobster And stake were cold.. the waiter was great but everything else was terrible.
Lucky nite or normal , steak was quite good will go again
Great food and service
Great food! Service was fantastic. Well definitely come here again!
Good service food tasted greasy
Absolutely terrible!!! Slow service! Finally brought our food out out then took it away because it wasnt our order. Finally got our food and it wasnt as ordered. My steak was way undercooked. We made reservations here for 7:30. If I wanted to eat at 9 I would have have made later reservations at a much better steakhouse! When we said everything was terrible, our server just stood there. What a horrible experience!
Not very good experience
Nice environment. Cinamon Apple Cheesecake was so good! I would have rated it higher but for my steak that was overcooked that I had to return. Waitress was polite though. Maybe it was just a one-off, so I wouldnt mind going in again, at least, for the cheesecake.
The food was, as always, delicious! The pretzels and mustard dip is always such a nice touch to start, my kids inhaled their food (Mac and cheese for 1, chicken strips and fries for another, calamari and Cesar salad for the oldest). The shrimp and scallops pasta is so tasty, and filling enough that I had leftovers! Hubby had the Cajun steak and said it was perfect. The Redwood is such a nice atmosphere too.
Great food and nice atmosphere
It was ok. Wouldnt call it fabulous. Limited menu. Crab cakes tasted like tuna. Limited wine choices. Nice decor.
Good food, attentive service and well set up for covid19 protocols.
Everything was very good. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and gave great recommendations. We had the steak and lobster tail, gnocchi, and brussel sprouts. The only complaint we had was the steak could have used a bit more salt.
Good meal and service for the most part. For a special night out the place definitely lacks ambience.
Pretty good meal. Jeremy was our server tonight and he was awesome!!
just love the baked onion soup, best i even had. prices were little high, first time server was okay, the second time, she was wonderful. We had not been back since co-vid started. The staff were very diligent on keeping everything sanatized and safe. Peggy was a great server once again always pleasant and very helpful. We had a wonderful time.
Service was great. Food could be a bit better.
Went for their Thanksgiving dinner. Very disappointing. The plates came out scalding hot, the waiter could hardly hold them. Went to eat it and the food was barely luke warm. Sent it back, they brought out another meal, same thing, luke warm. Gave up and ate it anyway. Way too expensive for what you get. This is the second time I have eaten there and both times the meals were not good. Wont be back, dont recommend.
Food was so-so, not over the top...service at night.ok...breakfast.buffet was nasty
Have been here a few times the food is always fabulous as well as service!
Great pizza and fries delivered to our room.
The meal was excellent. The steak done perfectly and I liked the complimentary pretzel to start things off with.
Cozy atmosphere, amazing food, friendly service.
Staying at the lodge we met with friends to have dinner here. We made reservations and sat down at 6pm. When the server first visited us it was 6:20 so we ordered our entire meal and drinks. By 7:40 we got up and left with no food ever being delivered. The kitchen was so slow they didn t even pretend our food would be right out . They just let us leave and comp d our drinks. I m 40 years old and have never left a restaurant in my life due to service. This was a first.
Great ambience and good food. We thoroughly enjoyed our supper here and the service was top notch with excellent recommendations made by our server.
Good service.
Simply put, amazing food!!
I have posted about Redwood before but the pretzels are to die for. I had the Ceaser salad, brussel sprout and steak salad, all of which was awesome. Sorry no pictures as I was busy eating my awesome dinner and watching the Brier. That said I need to do a shout out to the regular staff but their new employee Sarah was amazing. Super friendly and knowledgeable for her 5th day. Sarah was very attentive and made sure that all of her customers were looked after. I also noticed that she never stood still and if there was time between customers she was cleaning and organizing. Keep her please!!!
Always great food and great service.
We came to this restaurant for their seafood buffet and it was wonderful. Every dish we tried wss wonderful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We left sated and very satisfied. I would definitely recommend.
Our server was spectacular and the food was predictably Keg like!
Great Service
Great steak
Good service and good food
Best burger, longhorn, wow, the best ever!!!!
Great food and service!
Good food
The food was fabulous, and the service was great too.
Weekend Seafood Menu Is Fantastic! Reasonable price for well plated, large delicious meal. And Lobster Corndogs!
Ok, if Im gunna pay 40 dollars a plate, I expect more then a paper menu. This place isnt cheap which makes it frustrating listening to a friggen pool full of kids from the background. The food was acceptable although my prime rib looked like it had been under a heat lamp for awhile which I guess isnt abnormal nowadays. Service was good. The taste wasnt bad but it wasnt as good as other steakhouses in the area.
Very good and good atmosphere
Horrible menu on weekend, we walked out
Great food. Good service.
Food was good. Which is why it received 5 stars but our server needed improvement. But the food and the restaurant itself was amazing
Great food
Had Surf and Turf great meal
Nice atmosphere... Great food and service
Good service, delicious food, good atmosphere
great food little pricey
Had the sirloin steak sandwich and it was great. Steak tender and flavorful. Good value and great atmosphere.
Great food
Definitely not what I expected. Prices are that of a high end steakhouse but the keg has MUCH better quality. The beef Wellington was a baseball steak dropped in the middle of a premade tenderflake pie crust. Waitresses were alright though, friendly and prompt
No complaints here, what a fantastic steak!
Went to seafood night. So good ! Most amazing banana Carmel dessert ! Defo go back again.
Always great food. Super friendly staff.boys in the kitchen definitely know what theyre doing!!
2nd time here and the food is Sooooo SALTY.Thought maybe was just a one off time but same second time around!
Delicious meal, service was good but not great.
The staff were courteous and very helpful at every turn. Enjoyed my stay, very quiet. The buffet was excellent!!!
The steak here is always cooked to perfection and the atmosphere is cozy and friendly!! If youre looking for great food and service, you must come here
Went here for my Anniversary. Waited about 10 mins at the door without being greeted. Once we were sat the service was prompt and courteous which continued through the meal. Went on a Sunday so we both partook of the Dinner Special; some amazing Prime Rib. The Yorkshire Pudding was delicious. Dessert menu was amazing selection. 90% of the appetizers are seafood. $$ but worth every penny. Restaurant and lounge are pretty small and away from the hotel pool. Although at some points during our meal the ambience was interrupted by children in the pool.
It was my first time to the seafood buffet. I really loved it. Will go again. Thank you
The food was great!!!
Food so good
Went in and told the server that the wife has a nut allergy. They then offered a complimentary pretzel and dip which was fine for me. However the new server I had to ask if it was nut free and said no. I guess the other server failed to let the staff know our table was nut free. The rest of the food was great. I would have given them five stars, but any allergy should be taken seriously for all guests. This photo is a small part of the restaurant there is alot more to it than what I took.
Unfortunately, I was unable to try the food here. I waited over five minutes to be seated (there were two tables in the restaurant at the time). After being seated, I waited 15 minutes for the server to return before looking for her and then, when she couldnt be found, I left the restaurant. On the way out, I met up with her in the lobby and explained that I couldnt wait any longer and had to leave. She was apologetic, but I couldnt make the timeline work to stay and eat. Im disappointed that my day of relaxation and pampering ended on such a low note. It seemed like the workers were disorganized and any staff that I saw around the restaurant area seemed completely unconcerned with customers.
The Redwood holds the distinct honour of serving me the worst steak Ive ever attempted to eat. The meat looked grey and was coated in pepper to the point of being inedible. We were rushed through our meal as well which added insult to peppery injury. As a bonus my friend and I also had intense indigestion for the rest of the day as a wonderful take home reminder of our time at the Redwood.
Ive ordered the CBA (chicken bacon avocado) salad here more times than I can count and have never once been disappointed. Very refreshing, filling, and delicious salad!
Good service
Over all really good experience
Food and service were both good. Calamari was not the greatest but everything else was awesome.
The foot is to die for the lobster corn dogs are a must. They should be number one.
Food was not worth ordering. Never eat here again.
Have been there 3 or 4 times now - every time excellent food AND service, it has become our new go to place. A great menu, reasonable prices and great atmosphere. Keep it up.
Super friendly staff, menu is significantly improved over Ms Grill, unbelievably easy to eat gluten free
Absolutly horrific! Service was 1 hour to get my food... we were the only people in the restraunt. Then I got my meal, and it was overcooked. I asked to speak with a manager and it took another 15 minutes for the manager to come out and she did little to nothing to appease me. Both the waitress and manager were horrific. If you can avoid eating here.... It was a 33$ steak that was over cooked and took 1 hour to cook. Even had a member of the upper management walk by, and he was absolutly rude with no customer appreciation. He appeared to be walking into the kitchen, maybe executive chief? I dont know but when food is poorly cooked in a higher end restraunt I think the executive chief should be the one coming out to explain why our food was poor and not some 18 year old little girl with poor bedside manners that they call a manager. My suggestion, DONT GO, unless you dont want to eat and pay hand over fist for a horrible night.
