While visiting Medicine Hat recently, we decided to try Sabai as it had a good rating on Google. The owner welcomed us with the biggest smile and was very friendly. We ordered 4 appies and 2 main dishes. The mango salad was fresh and delicious and the salad rolls were very good. The chicken dumplings were good but over cooked. The crab puffs were the big disappointment. They were over fried with very little filling. What was in the filling was mostly cream cheese. The 2 main dishes were very disappointing as well. We had lemon grass chicken and seafood pad praram. The pad praram was a bowl of sad seafood and overcooked vegetables in a soupy broth. I expected so much more from a Thai chef. The lemon grass chicken was a similar version with soggy vegetables and little flavor. So disappointing! But the Vietnamese coffees were excellent! We were in and out in less than an hour.

Very good food. I find the plates to be a little small but they are priced fairly for the size. I would absolutely recommend this place

Food is simply amazing and the staff are so welcoming. Ive been eating here since I was a kid and its done nothing but get better every time I go.

Good and service are great , dishes and soups come in good portion, very quick and nice, there are a good selection of beers and Tropicana drinks, and shakers. The restaurant location is good, very clean with very nice, professional and polite staff. Ill go back there again for sure.

For a restaurant that advertises itself as specializing in Thai cuisine it has sorely missed the mark. Where is the Thai flavour profile of fresh basil, lemongrass and lime? All three dishes we ordered were bland and reminded us of uninspired Chinese food instead of vibrant Thai. Our coconut chicken was dry and tough and the ginger beef was extremely salty. We had to request Chili sauce to add any semblance of heat. If you want true Thai food you should look elsewhere. So disappointing!

Delicious Thai food. Nice quiet place to have a great dinner. I decided to update my review after a few more meals. This place is quickly becoming one of my favorites in Medicine Hat. I encourage you to go here. The staff is friendly and the food is fantastic.

Hands down the best Thai food I have ever had, My mom and I have went there for years. Shes had everything on the menu and I always have the Chow Mein and Spring Rolls sometimes the Shrimp Wonton Soup if its cold out lol. Never been disappointed with the food always hot and FRESH! We always leave with full stomachs. The environment is very cozy and the family that runs the business are HANDS DOWN the most nicest genuine people I know as well as their employees. This restaurant is honestly my favorite place to go in Medicine Hat so if youre thinking about trying something new and unique you should definitely try Sabai.

My husband and I enjoyed the Pad Thai. I look forward to trying different dishes in the near future.

I love trying new food and this was a wonderful experience. Atmosphere is perfect, menu is simple yet descriptive, staff was phenomenal and I really really enjoyed my meal. Oh and they have deep fried ice cream!!!

This was our first time and the food was as promised sublime. Sy, the owner , was known by most customers was a gracious host. We just moved here and are only 3 blocks from the restaurant. I originally hail from Calgary and came to Medicine Hat for training, this place came as a recommendation to me so I ventured over on the first night of in dining opening up again and was amazed at how amazing their food was for a very decent price! I had the Pad Thai chicken and shrimp with the crab bites as an appetizer and it couldnt have been any tastier!

First time dining there and it wont be the last. Fabulous food and service. Have lots of allergies and the owner came out and took the order himself.

The service was so great. The restaurant has such nice decor. And most of all the food was amazing. Highly recommended!

This became one of my favorite restaurants when we were in one of our covid lockdowns. Was finally able to come and sit down and enjoy the atmosphere. The owner is one of the nicest guys in the world. He makes his restaurant warm, happy and inviting Would recommend this restaurant to anyone!!!

Went with my girls for dinner and it was amazing. We each tried a different dish and all were delicious. Not my first time there, but I have definitely decided to eat there more often from now on. Brought home take out for my husband too and he loved it. Added bonus...the service was beyond great!

Sabai plate. Disgusting. Tempura without panko, everything deep fried and grey looking and tasteless, sweet potato burnt with rotten spots and when I complained I was told that was normal. Not in my world. And there were no crab cakes. Just a greasy cheese filled triangle that might have had a couple of flakes in it. Never again will I go there.

Great food and fast service! Went on a Tuesday night and was amazed how busy this restaurant was. Pickups were constant and the phone was always ringing. Lots of other diners and walk ins. Once you get you food you understand why!

We travel from Swift Current to eat here. It is awesome. The service is personal, the food is outstanding. We have never had a bad meal and have experienced most of the menu. Only con is they are so far away.

Was super excited to try the food here, went in, was seated quickly, super gorgeous interior! Sat there and waited with our menus for 15 minutes and nobody returned. Looked around and noticed everyone around us was happily chatting with no food at their tables, so I got up and left. Probably should fix that Sabai.

This is a really good and affordable restaurant that makes tasty Thai food. The interior is also gorgeous, so eating here is a wonderful and relaxing experience.

I walked by this place and decided to stop in to get something to take home. The waiter suggested the coconut chicken and shrimp noodles and it was the best thing Ive ever eaten! The sauce had kefir lime leaves and was the most authentic tasting Thai Ive had in a long time. I will definitely be going back to try the Pad Thai soon and reorder that dish! The decor in the restaurant is also very elegant chic and perfect for a party or date night.

This is my favorite food place in town. The curries and stirfry are absolutely sublime. I would eat here every day if i could afford it. The staff and owners are very pleasant and helpful. They have options to suit your dietary needs, including veganism (the tofu is awesome!) Would recommend the lemongrass stirfry.
