The food was fantastic and so was the atmosphere. Service was a little lacking. Condiments were not offered until our food was over halfway gone.

This has been our go to place for years. Lately its been going downhill. This morning we went for brunch. I ordered the omelet which used to be best in town. This time the eggs were so thin it was like paper, the ham seemed to be sliced sandwich ham super thin, the laid on top cheese was like Velveeta slices very coagulation. The potatoes and biscuit were cold and no chance to spread the frozen butter. Service which is normally top natch was horrible. Waiter took our order and never showed back up until time to pay tea glass was empty never refilled.such a shame its gone downhill I had hopes it would be a staple.

I love going there for the atmosphere and the food great place to sit and relax.

The service and atmosphere were great but the food was less than average. I ordered Blueberry French Toast, they were like a baked bread with croutons baked into it. It was cold and not very good. Appetizers were good and the service was great, would probably go again just for the appetizers and uniqueness of the experience.

So relaxing and the food is amazing!! Ordered the special, ribeye steak and was one of the best steaks Ive had! And Im not much on steak but I ate the entire thing during my lunch hour haha Love the environment as well. Live birds and the pond are beautiful to take in.

Would highly suggest this place for kids because of the fish pond and the ambience. I m gonna be honest. This was some of the worst food I ve ever had for brunch. The food came out two minutes after we ordered it, and it was all pre-fab dried out and I m pretty sure the scrambled eggs are powdered. Update to review, what would be the reason for me giving you another try? No one reached out no one offered any concessions. It doesn t really give an inviting experience to come back. The food was terrible the service was subpar the only thing good about your establishment was the fish. I don t think you pay for the fish in regards to labor. Good luck continuing your mediocre endeavor in an oil town.

Great little hidden lunch spot with great food and fun place to go. Everything is wonderful but has the best Reuben in town. A huge plus is you get your own carafe with every drink so you never run out and refills are easy. Is in the Greenhouse so no matter the weather is a wonderful pleasant place to enjoy yourself.

The place is very nice, but the food and service are terrible, the waiting time is too long for your food to arrive at the table, we waited about 50 minutes for food for 6 people everything was hamburgers and salads and then when the food finally arrived the hamburgers had raw meat and had been ordered completely cooked, they took my plate and after a while they returned with the same hamburger that had a bite that supposedly had been cooked more. We were amazed because there was neither an apology nor did they accept their mistake of bringing not a new burger but the same one that is totally unhygienic in any cafe, and to close when we had about 20 minutes eating, a waiter arrived asking how they are going to pay because the place has already closed. We really had a bad experience, not recommended.

Good food and good service

Today we ate at the café. They were very busy and we still had amazing service. The food was quick to arrive and very delicious as always , the atmosphere is amazing and the staff is always friendly as usual. Highly recommend.

Beautiful scenery. Amazing food, especially the Beer Battered Chicken Sandwich and their Sweet Potato Fries. And then a wide variety of plants and garden decorations to see and buy. Will be returning for more food and some plants

This was my first time eating here met up with a friend, also her first time here. I really wanted to like this place. It was busy, but nothing terrible. We were seated quickly. She ordered an iced tea, and I ordered an iced water with lemon. We received those promptly but needed some time to look at the menu. After chit-chatting a bit and finally looking over the menu, my friend and I decided to order chips and queso, allowing us a little more time to look over the lunch menu. Our decisions were made fairly quickly, but our server never returned after taking our appetizer order. After about 45 minutes (my friend and I were caught up in conversation losing track of time at first), we realized we hadn t even received out chips and queso so we stopped someone walking by. Turns out, she was a manager; she looked up our order and discovered our server never turned it in. She proceeded to turn in the appetizer order (which she was going to comp us for) and took our lunch order. Eventually, the chips and queso comes out along with carafes of iced tea and water and another 20 minutes or so goes by still no lunch. By this time, the cafe is practically cleared out of lunch guests most tables were empty. On top of it, after we had already been there more than an hour, another couple had walked in, was seated at the table next to us, orders taken, and food served to them. Keep in mind, all my friend and I ordered were a club sandwich with salad and a reuben with salad. We kindly asked again if our food would be out soon, and the original server said he would go check on it. We watched him go in and out of the kitchen area four more times with nothing in his hands and no update. I understand they were short-staffed today, however, there s still no rhyme or reason why they can get some tables served quickly while ours couldn t. Needless to say, 90 minutes later we gave up, left money on the table more than enough to cover the chips and queso and my friend s iced tea and walked out. I give two stars for food only because I don t feel it fair to give one when I really didn t have a chance to try it. Service gets two stars only because the staff was nice, but it stops there. The atmosphere was enjoyable being in the greenhouse with its garden feel.

I think its a hidden gem of Midland. I visited the city so many times for work but it was the first time I have been there. Food was great, service was blazingly fast. It was a tad pricy thats why I knocked off one star. But still highly recommend it

This was a date night for my husband and I. Hostess was very kind. Music was live and it was great! Loved the garden atmosphere with the coy fish. But the service and the food was not very good. The server who took our order was nice, but not once did he check on us between the time we ordered our food and stopped him to ask for the check.. so we never got a refill on our drinks. A separate guy brought our food and he was not friendly. Did not ask if we needed anything. Left the food with us as if he was in a hurry. So I walked to the server station myself to grab the ketchup my husband wanted. The food was okay... Mozzarella sticks were the best thing we got. We had also got chips & queso. The queso tasted like nacho cheese from a can. My husband got a burger. Not seasoned well and not cooked to well done the way he had asked for. I got the crème de la crepes. It was basically an expensive taquito dish. Very basic and very bland. Don t think we will return... I wanted this to be so good. I was excited when walking in and seeing the atmosphere and meeting the very kind hostess. But it just went downhill from there.

The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is spectacular!!! The gardens are so lovely and the cafe feels so serene. It s lovely sitting, relaxing, and eating among the plants. Parking: Plenty of parking spots Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly environment with lots of space and pretty fish and plants to look at Wheelchair accessibility: Someone with a wheelchair could certainly make their way into the restaurant and enjoy

Although I wouldn t go for the food the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful.

The food is always amazing and presented well. Professional staff are neat and tidy and the service is prompt. I like that there aren t a ton of tables so the crowd is never too big. The koi pond is beautiful and my kids love watching the staff feed the fish when they get the chance! Sometimes you get little cups of fish food to toss which is always fun for the kiddos. I recommend the Chicken Salad Chili Relleno and the Creme Brûlée.

Love going there. Service is awesome every single time, food is good and the place is beautiful.

First time eating here was pretty good! The flavors are great. The portions are much smaller compared to the price, so thats something to be aware of. Also, service was sub par on a day where it wasnt busy it all. Lastly, the carafe that they brought extra water for us in, was definitely not clean...there was food stuck on the inside.

Went on a weekend and had to wait about 45 minutes. No big deal since there was plants, trees and home decor to walk to around and look at. Just call ahead next time. The food was great. The staff was nice and friendly. Highly recommend!

Im a teacher so I sometimes order Uber Eats and let me just say do not order it that way! They always forget something. This time around I went in person since its not far from my job and I LOVED it!!! Especially the key lime pie! Definitely recommend getting it and the Turkey & Bacon Panini.

Wow Amazing place

Catfish was mediocre at best. The plate came with french fries and and 2 small hush puppies. They put a kids order of French fries on my plat and I asked the server if there was a shortage of french fries. She came back with an adult size order of fries. Anyway, its a great atmosphere, but theyre not breaking any records on getting youre food out quickly. Plan on being there over an hour and thats with no wait. Ill definitley visit again, but Ill try a sandwich next visit.

Setting is very very nice for this area. Feels like a Rainforest Cafe. Food is good, well-priced lunch. Youll remember the greenery more than the food.

Great atmosphere you get to enjoy all of the beautiful plants as well as the food is delicious. One of my favorites is the cranberry salad and sandwiches to choose from or just whatever so theres a great variety.

We were very well cared for, the girl who looked after us was excellent. The delicious tea, the plants and everything else are top notch.

Its so beautiful in here. I really loved the plants. My Sister and I came here. Then a little bit later other members of my family showed up. Our service was excellent. My brother took my mom there for her birthday on Thursday which had the live music and she just loved it. She new we were going to Midland so she called us and recommended we go here. So we went ahead and tried it. The only thing I had a problem with was my soup. I ordered a Creamy Chicken Pablano. It sounded good in my head. But it was to sweet. It was sweeter than my tea. Very disappointed. I thought maybe if I tried it with crackers. But no that didnt help at all. I ended eating my moms other half of her burger. Which was excellent. Everyone else had burgers but me. Everyone really enjoyed their burgers. I really dont know why a soup would be so sweet

It was awesome! You cant ask for a better atmosphere...definitely not an average restaurant feel. I love earing in the greenhouse, it is so peaceful and relaxing! I have to make a recommendation...try the fried pickles...you wont regret it! I went for my birthday lunch and the food and service was outstanding. Oh, if you like mangos, I would also recommend the Mango Dessert Pear Tea...yummy! Our waitress was super nice and helpful and made birthday a little extra special! Thank you!

Fantastic service!

I love this place so much. Cant wait to go back. The plants inside along with the pond filled with fish. Its so much fun and very exciting.

We ordered the beef enchiladas to take home and they were wonderful, my family loved them, very meaty with just enough spice. Tonight were having the chicken alfredo and I am sure it will just as good. Will definitely be ordering this again.

The Chicken Poblano soup was divine. And the atmosphere out there, being surrounded by all those beautiful trees and plants makes you feel like you arent even in the middle of the desert. Cafe at the Gardens, I would imagine, is the closest thing Midland offers to a romantic getaway.

The place looks nice, unfortunately if you dont the host will make sure they dont see you. I went in around lunch time, the place was pretty empty only about 4 tables taken. The host didnt bother to ask if I wanted to sit anywhere just told me to follow them aaaaalllllllll the way to the back. While everyone was enjoying the view, I was enjoying the watching the busboy cart. Didnt know black sweat pants werent welcomed.

An amazing little Cafe. They have a small yet well prepared menu. They do have a full bar and the sitting area is surrounded by a greatly decorated koi pond area.

Hidden gem! Loved spending time in this little oasis for a wedding this month. The kids were even able to feed the fish!

This is a great evening for tasty food and delicious drinks on Thursday nights. But DO NOT come if you want to have a conversation. What used to be nice ambience music has turned into main attraction volume and conversing with your spouse/partner/date/friend is impossible.

This is one of our favorite luncheon spots when in Midland. The grandkids love to feed the Koi in the pools, and the garden setting (part of the greenhouse) is very relaxing. The service is always good, as is the food. A very eclectic menu should have something for everyone.

Food is always good and have never had any problems. The only complaint is the lack of cool air during lunch. If possible, ask to sit inside the building opposed to the patio. The patio is awesome during cooler weather. Other than, this place is awesome!

Context: Went with a group of 6. Total of about 7 tables at lunch rush (arrived ~12:15). Ate here last month with same coworkers. Pros: Staff is friendly, place is clean, good atmosphere, food has potential Cons: This is the second time we went and the second time that the food took close to an hour to get out. My catfish meal was good, but my coworker found a nice curly black hair in his quiche (none of us have black hair). Fortunately, the manager took care of his check like she should. Im giving a 3 star review because Im holding out hope that yall can get food out at an acceptable time. Nobody expects this to be fast food times, but its very telling when you have maybe 1/4 of your capacity during lunch rush and it still takes so long to get food out that our joking about just leaving and grabbing a pizza was starting to sound like a serious plan and we were 10 minutes from straight up walking out. The first time we went last month took an hour and a half to get our food with many more tables taken (we timed it). We absolutely understand how difficult it can be to get good help in Midland, but this is damaging as it makes us think of other places to go for lunch since we cant always afford to take upwards of a 2 hour lunch break. We might try again in a few months to see if its gotten better. At least the waitstaff is nice.

Tricky based on what you order, dont get any form of pastrami, I had another person verify that it had an after taste of something like a high impact hydraulic lubricant, or an oil based paint or some sort of petroleum product. Other that that you have to get there by noon or the middle aged white women will have taken all of the tables. Rest of the menu seems to be fine.

One of my favorite places for lunch, the atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing..the food and service is awesome. My fav is the pesto chicken panini!

I would first say I ve had a wonderful experience here. The ambience and the staff are amazing as well, finding a place like this in midland is very difficult. I understand why he gets packed very quickly. I will be coming back next weekend to have another great time.

It got 2 stars cuz food is good, But Experience was ruined cuz I found hair in my Meat Patty, Manager asked to replace Buns, but hair was in the Actual Patty. Then Offered me a free dessert that was half the price of my plate. And Creme Brûlée wasn t even that good. Prolly won t come back
