Gimmicks is in the same building with Valley lanes. You can have dinner and a drink in Gimmicks. Go bowling, play arcade games, lazer maze, bumper cars at Valley Lanes. Fun for the whole family

absolutely ridiculous on alcohol prices. I would not recommend it, and I will not be back. ordered a basket or fries, half were burnt and the other half were cold. we were in the party room, the wait staff were fantastic and prompt.

It was a very different experience from bowling at crooked creek. Where the lanes work half the time. But we are so used to being there.

Pretty cool place. A bit rustic, but good food, friendly people and close to home. Its nice having a sit down restaurant in the area.

Had amazing time played mini golf and arcade games bumper cars are also fun

Gimmicks has been a frequent stop for us over the last 10 years and has always been great but will not be back after our dining experience last week. Our waitress complained to us about management and the lack of specials, desserts and various other topics prior to taking our order. I had to ask for water 3 times before she brought it and she also ignored all other empty beverages until she was waved down to refill them. After getting her attention, she asked nastily if we minded if she finished what she was doing before refilling them. Another very nice waitress noticed and took care of us before our original waitress came back. Realized after looking at the bill that we were charged for every pop refill that was brought. Food was good but the experience left such a terrible taste in our mouths that well never be back.

The place was pretty busy, with no designated person seating people. We had a group of seven and they couldnt give us a time for seating. The group of six in front of us walked out about five minutes before we did. Im thinking they were packed because Dow HS was playing Midland HS in a hockey game a little later that evening. Ill try them again for sure.

Beer cost too much

Wonderful visit and great service from Angie! It was so busy as kids were on break and she was very attentive to our big party! She is quick and kept our orders and drinks filled. Absolute shambles! The bartender, especially, was extremely rude on multiple occasion to multiple people but was selectively doing her job when it suited her. Working in Midland, we use to bring business to local vendors but we will no longer be doing that here after tonight. Its embaressing how poorly coordinated tonight was especially when the bowling alley was semi full. Very poor waitressing and bartending is shocking from a customer service standpoint.

This had to be the worst place to eat in a long time the chicken was rubbery and wasn t good. The service we had was the worst eve we saw the waitress 3 times to take drink order give us our food and the bill that s it no drink refills that was not nice and very rude I would like to say it s a one off thing but no it s definitely not see how they were the bowling alley and arcade we liked but the whole afternoon ended very badly. The manager was very rude inside gimmicks about our kid in a high chair so he had to sit on our lap

Went there for lunch and had a great experience. The waitress was friendly, efficient and did a great job. The nachos and chicken Ceasar salad were both nice portions, tasty and served in a timely manner.

Absolutely amazing service. But this is a bar food restaurant. Bowling and drinking after getting drunk. The food would be good. As a family going just for food.... dont! Its not that!

I would go to the tallest mountain and scream at the top of my lungs. This restaurant has very honest employees. My 1st visit there and I was indecisive about what I was going to eat. Our waitress Ella helped me make my decision. The Taco salad was very good. So we payed our bill and left. Ella came running out to us not once but twice, as I dropped 50$ cash!!! Ella s 1st trip out she brought me back 30$, my husband asked if it was all there, I said no, but that s alright I was lucky enough that she brought me anything back. Next thing you know here comes Ella with the other 20$. So with all of this said, not only am I leaving Ella and Gimmicks a great review, but I also gave her a reward, and made sure her Manager Jeff knew what a honest employee he has in Miss Ella and should give her a raise Just a reminder that there are still good honest people out there

The food was great but the server was awesome My wife dropped fifty bucks on the floor on our way out and Ella ran out not once but twice to bring my wife her money it was very refreshing to see that there are still good honest hardworking people out there Will definitely be back

I took my grandsons here tonight (13, 6, 3 y/o) for pizza and bowling. New to the area and never having been here, upon arriving I asked a server where I could order pizza. She told us to wait by the pinball machines, that she would be back to take our order and the menu would be on the table. It was. I didnt know how to work the pinball payment method. So the children and I waited 15 minutes with no one coming to take our order. I and 3 grandsons walked back over to the front desk and I explained that I was looking to order pizza and play the machines. She said if I got a bowling lane, the server would come by and take my order. That was fine as we were there to bowl also. So I paid for the lane and we bowled but no one ever came to take our order. After 1 game we returned our bowling shoes and the same counter girl wouldnt even look me in the eye, clearly not wanting to acknowledge our presence. While my intent was to take the grandkids for bowling, pizza dinner, and games, we left after 1 game and spent no other money there. We will no be returning to this facility. Nice job robbing a 3 and 6 year old of a fun evening. Kid-friendliness: NOT

Very rude waitress inside the bar area. She was middle aged and was in charge of training this new girl would have much preferred to have the new nice girl over her. Once we got out to the bowling alley area a very nice older lady was our server and was a lot better. Still overall poor service considering they were slow and only had 5 tables in the actual restaurant areas. 3 of which were taken by our party. Then we were on the 10th frame and they wouldn t add 2 minutes to finish the last 2 bowlers off. Just not considerate individuals at this business very dissatisfied considering this is our second visit and both times extremely poor service. I will not be giving this place a shot ever again.

Tried the cauliflower pizza, very good. Could have used a bit more toppings though, it was sparce.

I picked up a carry out pizza (which was delicious). As I looked around the restaurant/bar I decided to eat there the next time. Its a very well laid out, a great looking establishment. The staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

Food was okay. Nothing to write home about but decent. Service took a long time, but it was a Saturday night so... understandable. Ive heard people say good things about this place, so Im definitely up for trying it again.

The worst take out nachos I have ever eaten. There was a small sprinkle of meat on them and it was like they microwaved the whole plate because the cheese was burnt onto the parchment paper and you could lift the whole order of nachos off of the box like a pizza. The paper even stuck to the bottom of the nachos. The only pleasurable experience was the bartender, Charles that took my order.

I just ordered a BLT pizza from here. They dont have it on their menu but I told them how I wanted it and they nailed it. Soooo delicious. And friendly staff.

Tracy is easily the best waitress Ive had in the past few years at least, and we go out to eat a lot. We love their food, we always get food when we come to bowl but we like it so much we come even when were not bowling. Couldnt recommend more.

Food is decent, but dont go an hour to closing. Its like they dont cook anything new its all been sitting. But go to lunch and its pretty good. The honey chicken and coconut shrimp are really good. Its a good place to go for a buffet.

When they see you and dont come take your order for a long time and continue to just sit there and chat. Pretty cool

You come here for a birthday party, spend $100 on bowling, $200 in the arcade, lazer tag and putt putt, and another $80 on pizza apps and drinks. Then, you bring in a Pie that your child requested to have instead of cake, and they Charge you $10 to eat the pie out on the lanes, and $25 if you want to have it in the restaurant. You dont even have pie there! Absolutely absurd. Not another dollar from me, you all can go pound sand!

I hardly ever give a bad review on a place, if I have a bad time I just had a bad time, but this place was ridiculous, the staff were great! The food was good but the up charges got me, we went today for my sisters birthday to go bowling and play in the arcade and eat a birthday pie, when we get into the place and ask for our lane they inform us that wed have to pay $10 extra to eat our pie in there and $25 in the restaurant! I get it if we were going to eat our pie and then dip thats okay, but to charge us extra when we were going to spend a couple hundred there anyway! Thats whats ridiculous. The staff were good, and service was fast. It was the up charges for me

I enjoy Gimmicks very much. The atmosphere is outstanding service is good. Food and drinks are always exceptional. Prices are reasonable for the portions that you receive. Servers are always friendly.

I went to Gimmicks/ Valley Plaza on 2/29/2020 with a group of 10. While waiting for lanes to be available, we waited in the bar area. We asked if we could have the large table cleaned off so we weren t taking every seat at the bar. We waited 20-30 mins for the table to be cleaned, however we didn t see anyone heading over to the table. We ended up moving the other guests plates and beer bottles to the end of the table hoping someone would come and grab them and take our order as many of us had the plan of getting dinner. After another 20-30 mins of waiting for a server, my friend went and asked if someone could help us. The server only rolled her eyes at my friend. About 10 mins after this, another server came out and became angry with us for sitting and grabbed some of the dishes and then didn t come back. A little later the manager came out and asked what we wanted, though it seemed fairly obvious that we wanted served, she wasn t very apologetic and seemed unhappy that we only wanted them to do their jobs. We finally received service after this, but I was disappointed in how unprofessional this business was being run. I have worked in customer service for 4 years and can t imagine treating a guest like this, knowing that things can become extremely stressful. I have reached out to the business, as I hope no one has this same experience.

I have come here almost every week for 3 months. Pizza is ok, burgers are good, they have caffeine free diet coke which is awesome. But tonight was the worst service i ever had in my life. Our waitress was very slow to get to us got our pops and appitizer then left we need second rounds and we had been watching She came in and sat with a table of her friends. She sat and talked for atleast 15 mins. If mangers wanna go back and look she got up at 9:05 pm. Then forgets our silverware, we have to hunt her down to get some. I will prolly not come back here if this is how you feel a good waitress is. We went out to celebrate our last week before our wedding. Update* Thank you for getting back with me. I am going to come in again as we just visited the arcade tonight which is very fun. I will let you know my experience.

Good food, terrible service. Only two wait staff, our waitress was overwhelmed by a party, and the other waiter was busy talking to kitchen staff and flirting with a table of women. We got our meal before we got a salad that was ordered. When the waiter, who was not our server, brought out our meal, I told him we were still waiting on a salad. He commented this isnt my table, I will tell your waitress. Which he did not do. We waited ten more minutes before our waitress came to see how everything was going. Will never eat there again!

Our family likes gimmicks. About 50 percent of the time, the service is lacking, but the food is pretty good.

First got here around 10pm on a Friday night, got to seat ourselves. Cool. A server greeted us fairly quickly, to give us water and tell us that he wasn t our server but he wasn t sure where our server was lol. After about 7-10 minutes, our server shows up. Says that no one told him he had a table. Apologizes and takes our order. Brings appetizer out with the wrong sauce. Okay, no big deal. We place our order, I order a medium cooked burger...the server proceeds to ask me if well done is okay, and then tells us that the kitchen staff would flip him off if he asked for my burger to be cooked medium. Odd. Found hair in ranch sauce for appetizer. He replaces it by grabbing the sauce off our plate and in the process, touches our food. Service over all was slow and sub par. Server could definetly use some education and server etiquette. Delightful person just not a great server. Lol Food was ehh, I ve had better.

Good pizza

Got kicked out because I was falling asleep i was a designated driver drinking water. I have a 4 month old baby and worked a 16 hour day. Rolling on 4 hours of sleep the night before. And a total of about 20 hours of sleep in the last 7 days. I guess i should have gotten hammered and wild. Pretty petty... glad to see how they treat responsible people.

The only reason they get two stars cause the name is truthful. Place is dirty .. took forever to get someone to our table with n e thing .. yet table behind us had two different servers check on them in same time. Ordered three long islands a longneck and Shirley temple... got temple ... waiting on bartender for ur drinks like what ? Why couldn t I get the bud light ? The lanes wear piled on top of one another the floor in gimmicks was nasty the seat had yuck left on it ... service is substandard for pricing and other facilities in the area. No pro shop

This place totally rocked! We had the best bar tender ever! They put up with our crazyness.

Stopped in for a bite to eat and ended up playing some video games with our kids. It was a great night out for dinner and the kids were entertained.
