Great breakfast spot in Midland. Service was awesome, greeted and seated very quickly. Server was super friendly and helpful; she promptly took our order and delivered food in a timely manner. Excellent selection at a great value for the portions, huge pancakes! Food was very good, standard breakfast fare, hit the spot.
My favorite is the Cinnabon Pancakes with bacon. They are truly addictive! The food and service here are excellent. It's my favorite breakfast in Midland.
The staff and service are fantastic, but the food is always amazing. My go-to's that never fail are the eggs Benedict, club sandwich or the breakfast deal if I'm up early enough. I've been coming here for years, and am so glad they have delivery options through door dash now!
Went here to surprise my mother for her 92nd birthday. She has a group that eats here. Food was made to my specifications. Greek omelette without toast or potatoes. Very good. A friend at the table had to flag down someone to get a second decaf coffee. Other than that, service was pretty good.
First off, the servers do not greet nor acknowledge you at the door. I usually phone an order in, but when you go to pick it up, you wait in line for 15-20 min at the door without acknowledgement. I have worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years, and all the staff has to do is say hello and let the waiting guests know that they are busy and will be with them shortly. They simply ignored the door. Guests lost patience and simply sat themselves at dirty tables. Secondly; as an owner of a restaurant, you do not feed your family and cater to them in a packed restaurant! The lady doing the cooking (I am assuming that she is an owner), was more concerned with socializing and pandering to her family occupying the large booth by the kitchen than cooking orders with a busy restaurant. I am assuming that is one of the reasons why there was a 15-20 min wait at the door on that visit. Now, based on my wait at the door the last few times just for a pick-up, I decided to order from Door Dash this time. I enjoy the Lumberjack Breakfast, but the last 3 times I have noticed a severe decline in food quality; becoming worse every visit. The previous order that I picked up was passable, though the eggs were overcooked and the sausages were undercooked. This last order over Door Dash convinced me to never order from here, again. I order eggs over easy. I have included a picture of the "over easy" eggs. They were so severely overcooked that they were akin to a solid piece of rubber. They were hard and burnt, and the yolks were hard and solid. The restaurant may make the claim that "the eggs cooked in the take out container", but look at the pictures. Eggs don't turn dark brown (they were burnt on a griddle), and have solid yolk while sitting in a take out bag. The underside of the eggs were dark brown and burnt. I have ordered over easy eggs for take out many times and never had this problem. The sausages were raw inside and cooked outside, the home fries were not even cooked; they were slightly heated, greasy potato slices. The bacon appears to have been par-cooked in a large batch and left to the side of the griddle then heated up for the order; they were strips of rubbery grease. The pancakes and toast were the only edible items in my meal but everything else was thrown out as it was unedible garbage. Midland has several breakfast restaurants, and if this place keeps going the way that they are, they shouldn't be surprised when their business declines and fails.
The food was fast and good. The service by our waitress was outstanding. This is our new breakfast spot for sure
Earlier in the year we visited Midland and sought out a local restaurant. We found this one. We were greeted by staff very quickly and seated efficiently. The menu was diverse. We ordered chicken fingers, grilled cheese, club house and a toasted western. All food came out quick and freshly prepared. Service was polite and quick. Seemed to have a lot of local residents attending which is a good sign! If I am ever in Midland again I would return. The food was good, came out quick and price was very reasonable.
It started out great. Coffee and water are delivered quickly. Order placed simultaneously. 30 minutes later, there was no sign of our waitress, food, and 1 coffee refill. I asked another server about our order. Within 5 minutes, our food arrived along with a sighting of our waitress who promptly returned our bacon for a little crip up.. hashbrowns were delicious. We have been here several times and have never had such slow horrible service. Will contemplate a return visit
I never had a problem there. There is one waitress when she sees us coming she has the coffee there for us and knows our order. Very friendly prompt cant get any better I always give her a good tip

I was with the children this morning and was waiting for us to be seated. Two waitresses kept saying we had to wait even though the restaurant was full of free tables. This ball is strange and my family went to another restaurant where we were served quickly.
The food has always been excellent and you get great portions. I never leave hungry. The staff is like family so friendly. Homemade food and soups yummy. I would recommend this restaurant anyday. Oh yes they have $12 specials everyday. Staff has always been very friendly. Cant say we have ever had a bad dinner. I have heard people call the restaurant by home depot Stackers but they are soooo wrong go to the correct place and enjoy . Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options. Parking: Get here early since its a popular place.
Stay away from this Restaurant Went for breakfast with a friend He ordered a soup and sandwich with a coffee The coffee was ok not the best but drinkable But the soup was disgustingly salty, I mean really salty like someone dropped the shaker in it. My friend complained how salty it was and the owner apparently took offence to it and did nothing about it. Now a days seniors as well as regular people need to watch our salt intake . He asked if he could try the other soup the owner said yes but you still have to pay for the salty one too she said, I am not giving it to you for free she was mean and rude and even called my friend rude it was the worst customer service I have ever encountered. My friend cancelled his sandwich and put $5 down on his $6.99 bill and left disgusted with the treatment he just endured he was so upset never to step foot on there again. Midland has great places to eat and have great customer service people this is definitely not for one of them stay away from this restaurant go to Tymes Restaurant or Stacked or Small Town Diner, Mom s, for home cooked meals.

Server appears to not like her job.. tosses menu and utensils onto the tables .. no smile barely and acknowledgment that you are there.. needs manners .. food was great a shame she brought it down

Well I come to visit my dad here in Midland . Though I d take him for. Breakfast as he like pancakes. Well I guess I should have checked the reviews before coming in. Staff are too busy socializing with the locals while our food is getting cold under the heat lamp, If there is even one of those. Sausages almost made me sick full of grease. Server didn t seem to care what s so ever. Bottom line your business is suppose to be consistent. In a restaurant your food is suppose to hot and good. Eggs and home fries were the only edible items. So consider that free money we won t be coming back .

Near home depot.. Called stacks.. Its been getting mixed reviews.. This is not Stackers Pancake House.. On William street in Midland. If you have not tried i dare you..You will not come out hungry.. Prices are fair.. Waitress truly good.. And food is truly good..my bad didnt mention home fries today but im sure it would have been taken care of with out question.. Last thing..a lot of choice.. Today beginning of 2024. We decided to go for lunch. It was ok nothing to brag on not as much on the plate. We did do a special today. Maybe not the way to go. What I had on my plate would fed 2 small children. We had liver it was good. No Gravy on fries. Service was good. Price was under 40.00. I think you just have to pick and choose as you go.
This franchise dropped the ball twice. This time we were served rotten creamers for our coffee so gross if I hadnt noticed I would surely had become sick the service the last two times we attended
Stackers is great. Fantastic potatoes, excellent chocolate banana pancakes, great sausage and waffles. Highly recommended back in 2017 and even still just as good in 2024.
We have been going to Stackers for many years. First of all, i must commend the servers in this restaurant. They are always very friendly and attentive. Special thank you to Esther, Emma, Kelley and of course Allison (who always likes to joke around with us). We have tried many items on the menu over the years and we have never been disappointed. We have tried other restaurants in the area for breakfast or lunch but Stackers beats them all hands down! You d be hard-pressed to find the same portions and quality of food like Stackers anywhere else in town (for such good prices too)! they also have various daily specials at a very reasonable price!
Old time dinner feeling. Good food ample portions at a very reasonable price. Senior breakfast offered. Staff is older and lovely. Enjoy stopping here when in the area. B

The best pancake house around...great local business as a local business owner myself I highly recommend stackers..oh and did I mention the best homebuilder in town by far. The service is optimum.. Go check it out...you wont regret..

French fries were dry even with ketchup and I hate ketchup! Had a Western Sandwich and it was sour tasting. I told the waitress to take it back and I dont want anything else. I had 3 bites and they charged me for the meal. I will never go there again....they just dont care about the customer.
Not to busy, prompt service. Blueberry Supreme waffle did not have fresh blueberries, looked like pie filling, but strawberry waffle had freshed slices. Food

Went to the London location this morning with my kids and what a great place! The food was delicious, staff was great, prices were reasonable! The homemade strawberry jam is awesome, had to buy a jar to bring home!

Home fries were overdone, sausages were awful, eggs over done, French toast was decent but I wasnt expecting blueberry pie filling in the middle of summer when fresh is available. Was so happy to think of coming as its been awhile. As a server.. our gal didnt miss a beat! Everyone worked together. Coffee , water refills were not just offered to their own tables.. which I hate to see. They kept their eyes on all the tables. I was greeted with a smile the second I walked in.These are things Im picky about. And the food.. no disappointment whatsoever. Thanks for making it a great outing !

We went for lunch. The food was delicious. They have a $10.00 lunch special that changes daily. All the items we ordered were homemade. Wish I took pics. Although prices are higher, the portions are large. We ended up taking a doggy bag. Only wish it was open later. Closes @ 2:00 but open @ 7:00 for a breakfast special

I usually use door dash to order from here, but weve been in a few times too. The food is delicious, and the staff is friendly. We love the atmosphere. As an added bonus, my daughter, who is allergic to corn, can eat just about everything safely! I absolutely recommend Stackers!!

Great place for breakfast brunch or lunch, decent parking, but amazing staff always friendly and courteous..especially Allison always leave with an ear to ear smile when shes working!..and P.S. if your a clubhouse person theres is awesome
After leaving another restaurant for lack of service we arrived here and got the same treatment when there were two open tables that we would have been more than satisfied with but nope, not even an acknowledgement or courteous hello...as the former place wed hit up, we left...this was round 2 this morning. Hard to support local when the local support has to dip due to being ignored. Sad really...

We were visiting from out of town and wanted to support a local place. We waited several minutes in a cramped entrance way, squishing together to let people exit, before anyone acknowledged us and directed the two of us to a table. They were quick with coffee and refills and taking our order. But then we waited 45 minutes for our eggs with bacon and a pancake. After about 30 minutes we asked to check on our order and were told there was a large table in the other room so everything was taking longer. The owner came over to apologize but just said it s hard to get staff. They appeared to have enough wait staff so she must have meant the kitchen staff. The large table was only nine people and there were many empty tables at the time. The food was average and the syrup not real maple (extra $2.99 for the real thing). I m sorry to say that we won t be back.
A fair value for standard food. Nothing we ate stood out as especially tasty, the coffee was as good as McDonalds, and the pancake syrup was clearly cornsyrup-based with no real maple. Very poorly managed however. In fact saying it was managed at all may be an overstatement. After entry, it took us over 45 minutes to receive simple eggs, bacon, pancake, home fries and toast. We thought of leaving multiple times. The owners excuse was hard to find staff and a big table that sat before us. We went and counted, there were 9 people at that table. Also, the 4 waitresses were not busy, they looked glum and unhappy, and took forever to notice empty glasses. Perhaps hard to find staff meant cooks? In total the place looked like it could sit 70 people, we counted 32 (including the 9), so if they were this slow at half capacity at 1:10pm, Id suggest avoiding this place unless you actually want a long sit time.
Absolute horrible customer service. Stood waiting to be sat for 15 minutes with several open tables and several crabby waitresses walking by without even a boo. Disgustingly ran, poor service and not a single smile from any employee in the restaurant. Would not go back here if it was the last place to eat on earth.

Didnt actually eat. When we arrived there were ,3 tables empty & 2 parties ahead of us. After 5 minutes one of the parties ahead of us left. In the next 15 minutes at least 4 parties finished their meals and left. All this time staff totally ignored the people waiting to be seated. After 20 minutes we abandoned the line and left for Tim Hortons

Excellent service, great food!!! Our group of 10 motorcycles stopped in for breakfast and we were so glad we chose Stackers. The friendly young lady who greeted us and later served our tables was amazing. Coffee (full pot) tea and ice water was brought to the table immediately and food orders were taken and made ready quickly and within a few minutes of each other. The quality of the food is obviously a result of the owners commitment to true old school homemade food. This attention to detail sets it well above other local breakfast restaurants. We found out our awesome server was actually the owner, who travels a significant distance to run her establishment. Her staff is just as attentive, friendly and efficient! This facility is much larger than it looks and it is worth going out of your way to visit. Our group was so impressed that we plan to eat here again when back in the area.
Weve ordered takeout breakfast a few times over the last few months, and the meals have always been good. Todays though, was excellent - we ask for our bacon extra crispy, and the cook today nailed it perfectly. The eggs, home fries, French toast, and sausages were perfectly cooked. We call ahead and our order is always ready within about 10 minutes. Prices are on par with other local restaurants.

We were so impressed by the quality of the food - it tasted homemade and full of love. Absolutely loved the pancakes, fried potatoes and omelettes. Great portions too, definitely enough to take home and enjoy the next day. The waitress who served us was so attentive and lovely, and remembered us from our last visit. Definitely not to be missed while in Midland.

What a great place. Our food was ready in under ten minutes which is great especially for those that have limited time for lunch break. The owner is very chatty and welcoming. Our waitress was attentive and the food was delicious!! The lady in the kitchen is a great cook that does a great job with modifications for picky eaters. Definitely will be back!!

Will not be back. The owner is very rude and unpersonable. We when we arrived we and the whole restaurant heard her reprimanding the kitchen staff. Not once did I see a smile on her face she just looked miserable. The hostess was very nice and friendly however and the food was good. The.prices are a different story though. $60 for 3 of us. Horrible management and due to that and that alone we will not go back and would not recommend anyone go there.

Horrible service!!! Do not come here unless you want to pay $17 for a few tomatoes and onions and feta cheese. The owner is very rude and miserable. Wasps all over the place where you can t even eat in peace. No face protection worn by staff. The owner just yelled at me when I asked about the extra charges. She doesn t care about her customers only about making money. This place is so dirty and needs to be shut down!!

Food was good but very slow and expensive
Placed an order for pickup, stood and waited at the door without speaking to anyone for 10mins and forced to stand and watch as my order was given to another customer.....very understaffed and unorganized. During these times I am trying to be extremely patient as I am in the service industry and understand all restaurants are in a transition but this was unacceptable
No one picked up the phone when we called the restaurant. So we drove over and ordered in person. We received our order and went back home to eat. When we opened up the bags containing our food, we noticed that we were missing food items. Out of 5 orders, 2 were missing home style potatoes, 2 were missing toast, and two sandwiches were missing cheese. Only 1 order out of 5 was correct. What we received was not worth the $65 that we paid.

Food was great. So was the service. Wait was less then 10 minutes to be seated. Orders were taken within another 5min and then the food came in another 10min. Waffles and chicken fingers were excellent. Everyone loved their meals. Coffee was ok, not great (4 stars)
Wow what a huge portion, go for breakfast, but you will take home some lunch, I brought 3 people with me, and none of us could finish the whole thing. Super friendly staff, its so nice to have this great place to eat at, in the neighborhood, the servers are super good, well worth a generous tip.

Just left after having a great breakfast. Although my eggs bennys was slightly overcooked it was the best I have had in a long time. My wife who has been disappointed with Stackers in the past was quite pleased with her breakfast and our service. We will be back.
