I really wanted to try this place. Like really bad. Walked in… and walked OUT. The dining room looked so gross. Seats falling apart, duck-taped tables, dark and grungy… if this is how the front of house looks, there’s no telling what the kitchen looks like. ADD- In response to managements response… Thank you for your reply. I understand running a small business comes with its challenges, and my review was intended to give honest feedback about my experience upon visiting. I always value supporting local businesses, which is why I feel that maintaining a clean and welcoming dining area is crucial to make a good first impression. Great wings, highly recommend to get the lemon pepper or buffalo seasoning. Service and restaurant style are simple and no nonsense. Lots of TVs to watch sports. Liked the rock music selection. Order ahead if you want your to-go order in a reasonable time during the peak dining time!
We went by about noon on Sunday. We were one of only two parties. The server took our order. Twenty minutes later, a different server brought our meals and refilled our drinks. The burgers were good, but cold. I think they would have been better if they had come out quicker. Our original server ignored us the rest of the time. We had ordered an appetizer, but it never came. finally had to ask our "real" server for the check. Very disappointed. The app was still on the bill. The new server took it off.
Everyone has that one chicken wing spot that just can’t be touched. That one place where the wings hit just right. The one place where they sauce the wings with just the right amount of sauce. I’m fortunate enough to now have two of these places. Buffalo Jo’s is now my Midland spot for chicken wings. Appetizers are on point. Buffalo fries are loaded and stacked high, full of flavor and big enough to be a meal. Fried pickles are fried perfectly, and will leave you wanting more. The wings are incredible, with a great selection of sauces. The ranch is great, you can tell they make it in-house. The blue cheese though is where it’s at. Chunky, smooth, and sticks to the wings just right. I’m not lying, y’all need to try this for yourself. This is Midland’s chicken wings spot.
We have been a few times and totally happy each time. The staff are fantastic! They are so nice and fun. The popcorn to start is fun. The wings are crisp and yummy. Buffalo Jo's had become out go to for wings.
I ordered the traditional & boneless wings today All the boneless wings I received were super hard and not eatable. Almost like chewing into a rock. Spent over $40+ Only tried this place because people were raving with good experiences they had. Well in my case I received very hard uneatable chicken this is my personal experience! Best wings in Midland! I first fell in love with chicken wings eating at Pluckers Wing Bar in Austin and I think they set the bar pretty high for me at that time in my life. I am always looking for a great wing joint and Buffalo Jo's did not disappoint. I heard about them in the Midland Area Foodie's Facebook page. Everyone was raving about them! I love to try new local restaurants so we went one day mid-afternoon and sat at the bar. The waitstaff were very friendly and they brought out flavored popcorn the way Mexican restaurants bring out free chips and salsa. It was a delicious surprise! We ordered truffle fries, and 3 flavors of bone-in wings: Lemon Pepper, Lemon Pepper Buff and Ranch Fire. The fries were to DIE for! And the wings were good too except I couldn't taste the Ranch Fire. I liked the music they played and the atmosphere was just very inviting and relaxed. I highly recommend. However, the flavors were pretty intense. If you like flavor, then THIS is your place. If you prefer bland, plain food then I highly doubt you'll find this food palatable. It's very flavorful. Enjoy!
Bring your own beer… (and dog!) Buffalo Jo’s is a hidden gem located downtown in the heart of Midland, Texas. In a town where tacos and burgers are plentiful, I was told that Buffalo Jo’s is the “go to” spot for wings. I came here last week with a friend and I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly face and seated immediately. The restaurant was a cozy establishment with tons of seating and multiple televisions. So here’s how my experience went… For starters I ordered the onion rings with a side of queso, and for my entree I ordered some boneless wings which were tossed in their special weekly sauce (pb&j and habanero) with a side of truffle fries. First off, I think it’s freaking ridiculous how amazing their onion rings are! Literally dipped in a batter created by God himself and then fried to a golden brown perfection. This local establishment is known for their creative, daring, and bold flavor choices… I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. There’s chicken, then there’s Buffalo Jo’s where everything you thought you knew about chicken goes straight out the window. This is a place where limits are pushed, masterpiece’s are created and rules don’t exist when it comes to their exotic flavors ranging from the hottest of hot to tangy, sweet and bold. And I can’t forget the truffle fries, which unlike most truffle dishes I’ve tried are cooked in a truffle butter, these where actually seasoned with truffle salt definitely making them a perfect pairing with the wings. Didi I mention Buffalo Jo’s is also BYOB? Yeah that’s right, bring your own beer AND dog’s are also welcomed (even the ones who can’t tell time). Overall this is the perfect place to watch the game and grab a delicious bite to eat. The staff is beyond friendly and I can not wait to return again. I definitely recommend Buffalo Jo’s to anyone looking for a good vibe, amazing food, and a tasty experience. As always it's been a privilege to share with you my experience. Until next time... L.
The front of the restaurant is in disrepair, which raises concerns about the kitchens cleanliness. Ive heard great things about the food, so I was disappointed to see the restaurant in this condition.

I have been here several times for traditional wings and always pleased but this evening not so much. Got the 12 piece both dry rub...half Carribean and half the Ranch Fire. Both varieties were barely seasoned IF AT ALL and dry. Whats weird is my order came out within 5 minutes and I thought wings took longer to season and cook than this. I want this place to succeed because its so close to home. I wont give up on it just yet but overcooked, unseasoned wings aint my thing.

Ordered wings. Instead of the 8 wings that were ordered, got a 6 piece. Food took over 2o minutes, with other tables who ordered after, getting theirs first. And how are you going to charge for a side of ranch for your wings? That s just wild when every other wing place doesn t charge .likely won t be back but hopefully it works out for you guys. Overall just ordinary

I like wings, and they have a lot of options when it comes to flavors. The 12 count is a bit expensive in my opinion, so opt for the 8, as it seems more reasonable. They will also do flats or drums only upon request. The garlic and Korean BBQ, along with the buffalo sauce is the best. If you wanna support a local place, check this one out.
Sooooo good best wings you can get in midland. One of our fav spots to go eat, and my husband s fav spot to have a few beers.

The food was great. Ive tried plenty of buffalo fries and these were definitely one of the spiciest. They were absolutely delicious. The waitress was very attentive and stayed on top of refills. Ill definitely be going back.
We came at lunch time... she was swamped with the school crowd. Food was good. And its nice inside.
I don t go out much but went to buffalo joes and I got to tell Tasha is the best bar tender in the business. She was on point. Any time I needed food or a drink she was there! 100% recommend this place!!!

We had a great time here. Our plans had changed when a concert we were going to was canceled and stopped in for a couple drinks and food. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. The live music made it even better!! I would highly recommend this place!!

The boneless wings were over cooked, which made the breading to be a little hard and the chicken to be a little dry, but they were still pretty decent. The chicharrones and queso was outstanding though.

Noisy place and very disorganized service. Hard to order at the bar and hard to get a table. Grumpy bartender..,maybe she was tired but it was only 7:00 pm Luckily the wings were good as was the local beer. Recommended dishes
Is it wrong to expect more out of a twelve dollar burger? It was a 1/4 inch thick frozen patty. Thinnest burger I ever paid more than five dollars for. Bait and switch pretty much. Fries undercooked in old oil, parmaesan garlic wings had no cheese. Music was early 2000s adolescent garbage with ads. Couldnt wait to get out, but had to sit and wait for change!

Terrible wings. The boneless wings are luke warm, dry, and dense it was weird. I think frozen Tyson s boneless wings are better than this. The person I was with got traditional wings and pretty much the same dry and tough. Nothing to talk about on the sauces they were blah I got mango habanero but It was more sweet than anything. Oh and our waitress hung out at the bar with her friend the whole time.

Used to be our favorite place. Today we had a $56 order to go and our food just taste like old oil. All the food fries onion rings everything was dark colored from the obvious old oil.

Im from Dallas. I was carving wings and fries. And let me tell you mango habinaro and the honey hot wings 10/10 I asked for crispy fries and they came out crispy and with flavor. Not to mention the have a open bar. If you are in midland tx and you want wings stop at Buffalo Joes you wont be regret it. And I got my food like 5 min after ordering it. The wings were good but the menu was different from before. They didnt have the sauce of the week, nor did they have any seasonings for their signature popcorn, which was stale. I had to go to the bar just to get some salt. Chicken sandwich was horrible and the truffle fries were so salty they werent edible. The chips and queso werent good either. Queso was like from a jar and the chips tasted like flour tortillas that were cut up and fried. Pretty tasteless and stale. The Buffalo fries barely had any chicken. Totally different from the last time we were here. They were kind enough to comp the meal because we told them how bad it was.

We went to eat here before Summer Mummers. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. They have a lot of flavor options for their wings so there is something for everyone. They also have several fry options (regular, truffle, Cajun). The regular wings were good but the boneless wings were very dry and tough. Not sure if they were overcooked or if that is normal but we decided that traditional wings were the better option. The restaurant has more of a bar vibe to it than family dining but our kids are college age so it wasn t a big deal. Overall, it was a good and we would go back again.
They ran out of burger patty s,and instead of just saying they were out,the owner immediately grabbed his keys and went and bought more ground beef.never seen such customer service. Will always be my go 2 for wings in the Permian basin.

Worst experience here ever. Thr waitress was not friendly, the food was cold, and we had to wait at least 15 minutes after arriving to order, then over 40 minutes to get the cold food. I can guarantee that we wont be back.
Food was decent but if you want decent service I would suggest not sitting at the bar. Our bartender was rude and on her personal cell more than attending to us. When I told her I was ready to order she blew me off and said she needed a cigarette. We sat for 45 minutes before being switched to another waitress, one of the people I went with even walked out without even eating his meal because how rude and unprofessional she was being. The rest our of our meal she would just keep pointing at us and mentioning the patron that walked out. Overall food and atmosphere location is great but due to her idk if I can recommend this place anymore.
The wings were luke warm when it got to the table only one plate was even remotely hot and that plate had a hair on it. The truffle fries were burnt and cold. It wasnt busy in the slightest and the waitress never brought out one of our drinks. I do not recommend

Nice cafe style spot to get some badass wings, have a beer, great truffle fries. So far I have tried 4 of their wing flavors, every single one awesome...my favorite is the Korean BBQ. I tried the cheese cake too....awesome. Parking pretty good considering its in downtown too. Awesome local business

Had lunch there today with a colleague from work. I was so excited for my food after having the amazing popcorn. I ordered 8 traditional wings, 4 Mango Habanero and 4 Korean BBQ. These were an amazing sauce with great flavor. The chicken was a little over cooked but hey over is way better than under cooked. I will be coming back and looking forward to bringing others. Awesome job on the food and atmosphere!

As a business owner I get extremely picky when I try something new, with that I get so excited when it s a home run! I kept count everytime something was done right they went 10 for 10! Everything was fresh, hot and extremely fast, we tried every app and seriously couldn t recommend one over the other each was so good! I had the Lemon Pepper Buff wings they were perfect, meaty, crispy and well sauced. Seriously impressed as this is rare to have great food in midland let alone service! Our waitress was perfect and if not her we had everyone checking in on our drinks or if we needed anything with our being too much. We were in and out in 30 mins. Y all nailed every aspect for me, thanks guys I hope midland treats y all right!

The service was good and fast...too fast. Our order came out about 5 minutes after we ordered it, and everyone had warm to cold chicken-both traditional and boneless wings. This leads me to believe that the chicken was pre-cooked and then tossed in the sauces we chose after we ordered. Everything tasted good but cold wings are definitely a turn off.

Had a great atmosphere and good service. Food is reasonably priced. But best is that it is walking distance from Midland High School so kids can go for lunch.
Best wings I ve had in awhile! Also got onion rings that where awesome! They gave us popcorn to snack on until the actual food was here. That was pretty dang good as well. Only issue i had was ordered a shiner and they didn t have any that was cold yet :(
Awwww man! What a treat when the unexpected leads you to the unexpected. Was going to my usual burger place, it was closed for vacation purposes. Found my way to BJs n was hoping they might have burgers but would settle for the wings Ive heard n read so many good things about. Turns out the guy next to me was eating a bacon cheeseburger and Im like Im having what hes having..... goodness gracious, great juicy burger! , Jennifer was very nice and the others as well. Next visit will definitely be for wings!

Terrible drinks and foul tasting food. Decent service. We ordered a margarita and the bottom of the drink was nothing but salt. We tried another and that one was even worse. The wings are smaller than Wingstops. The fried appetizers have no flavor besides it being oily. In the end we paid 85 dollars for 3 drinks and food. With it being such poor quality and taste it was only worth 40 at most including the drinks.
Watched the Canelo Vs GGG fight here and had an amazing time. Great service, awesome food, good vibes environment! Ive never spent more than an hour or two at a bar like restaurant but this is one I did and will do again! Buffalo Jos is my go to place now!
Very welcoming staff. Free popcorn with a cold beer if always appreciated. Home cut fries were pretty good. I was not a fun of their ranch, and actually avoided it during this meal. Thus leading into their ranch fire wing sauce. It wasn t for me either. Lemon pepper buff wing sauce was good, but could use a larger dusting of lemon pepper(my cousin corroborated this with his lemon pepper wings). Dude next to us had a delicious looking burger. Might try that on the next good around.

So this place has pretty dang good wings. The fries are also pretty good. The sauces are amazing and is what I come here for. The bar is small and there isnt much of a wide selection to choose from as far as either beer or liquor, but still a great place to come and eat. They only have a couple of tvs so you would either have to sit at the bar or one of the tables in the far back close to the restrooms. Still highly recommend you at least try!! Parking: The parking is across the street or right next to the door on the left. Can get packed at night starting around 630. Wheelchair accessibility: If you want easy access to the door, you ha e to park behind the front patio and not on the street.
