The service was fine and the food looked good. However, the atmosphere was horrible. NO music, just hushed talking and whispers, this was enough to make me decide to leave.

Best place for sit down Chinese food. Even togo is great. Dont like going any where else in midland.

Our favorite place!!

It was quite busy had to wait a bit for a table but it was worth it. I got the kung pao triple delight with white rice and steamed dumplings. The food was super tasty but could have used a bit more meat vs vegetables.

It feels abandoned when you first walk in cause theres no music or anything But someone quickly comes out to seat you. They are very attentive with service. Food is SO good and comes out quickly! The servers are lovely and Id recommend this place to anyone!

Best Chinese food in Midland.

Normally I take pictures of our food and post a review. But we just shoveled food in our mouth. It was good and we look forward to trying other dishes.

I ve been coming to this place for years and love it! The hot and sour soup is amazing and they have dealt with my baby screaming a few times and were very nice about it. My whole family loves moon garden! Kid-friendliness: She is always so sweet with my baby boy!

The lo mein taste like plain noodles in soy sauce just very salty! & the egg rolls have hardly any filling they re tiny and it s all bread no filling.

We placed a pickup order. This place has such a cool look. Its almost like an old boat house to me. We ordered the orange chicken and steak broccoli. The best steak broccoli I have had in Midland. The steak was tender and nice size pieces. Both meals were large amounts! Will order pickup from here from now on.

I absolutely love Moon Garden. The food is great and the waitress (Chloe) is awesome. She works hard to serve everyone as fast as she can and is always very respectful. If you go there enough, she will remember your family and your order right off the top of her head. This is a great place to eat some good food.

I absolutely love this place. I have been coming here for over 16 years. Ive been sick for almost 5 years and I come here to get war wonton soup because its really all I can keep in me. However they changed there containers and I didnt get nearly the broth I usually get and called and the young lady tried to argue with me about it. I know my soul from there. Mama would never do that and they forget my cookies. Not happy tonight. Havent ate in 21/2 days was really looking forward to this tonight. My husbands house lo main had 4 shrimp an 2 pieces of beef. And LOTS OF NOODLES. Not typical of the place I love for years. Wondering whats going on? Missy and John

We had lunch at this place and first had to wait over 10 minutes to be seated. It was clear they were short handed as they had one waitress for the whole place. Everything we ordered was served on paper plates. Not like the china in the photos. I had the wanton soup, which was okay. The egg rolls werent very good and I could not finish them. The sweet and sour pork was old and tough and I could not finish those either. The broccoli was average. The steamed rice was okay. My observation was that this place is nearing the end of its life. We were disappointed and cannot recommend this place.

Good food and great service. Best eggrolls in town. Ordered General Tsos Chicken with Fried Rice and had Eggroll as my App. All was excellent and the service was warm and friendly. Place is very nice inside and had great atmosphere (Is a former Red Lobster location). Will definitely eat there again.

Although the service was good, our food was given to us on paper plates. The food was almost tasteless. Price did not equal the quality of food.

Soup was good. Fried shrimp okay. But in general the food was a bit bland. Completely disappointed with the combination fried rice, they skimped on the beef and shrimp, more like chicken fried rice. Very expensive for the quality and quantity.

Ive been eating at this place since I was a kid and in my entire life the service is amazing and its a very nice family owned restaurant. The food quality is always amazing and is BY FAR the BEST CHINESE FOOD in the midland area. Anyone who says its not good needs to go back to panda express bc this is quality and quantity. You always get an a lot of food and my personal favorite item is the chicken lo mein with no vegitables. Im a picky person but I would eat here everyday if I could.10/10 recommend to anyone who wants a great lunch/dinner. Very good options and a lot of variety.

Fried rice is excellent.

We have been going to Moon Garden for several years and have had nearly everything on their menu. Everything is good. I have never had a bad dish and I have never had a dish that was overcooked, a huge problem in the restaurants in this area. My personal favorite dish is the Twice Cooked Pork. It has a smoky, savory taste with a bit of heat and comes with ample amounts of both meat and vegetables. The house soup and hot and sour soups are so delicious it is hard to chose between the two. Egg rolls have a unique spice to them, not spicy-hot, but a unique flavor you wont find in any other egg rolls in town. Spring rolls are light and crispy, as are the cream cheese wontons. Order the Pao Pao Platter for a fun arrangement of their appetizers on a unique plate. They have MSG-free and Sodium-Free plates for those who are health conscious, and even for those of us who are not I recommend trying them at least once. The only bad thing I have to say about them is that once you try their food you will be unable to enjoy chinese food anywhere else. It is not a buffet, and thus everything you order is made fresh and arrives at your table piping hot. The front owner, Amy, is absolutely charming and will remember you on repeat visits, almost like you are an old friend each time you come. This service is amazing considering the complete lack of interest most restaurants have in their patrons. The only downside is their takeaway is not as good as the sit down food, mostly because the food continues to cook in the small container and you dont get the same sense of cooked perfection that you do at the table. It is still the best chinese in the Midland-Odessa area, just not as good as it is when you sit down and eat (and why not sit down and relax in the calming atmosphere?) They make the decor work, after all it is an old Red Lobster, but dont let that deter you from the amazing food. Id rather have amazing food in an oddly decorated restaurant than bland food in a nicer looking restaurant.

Truly Midlands premier Chinese take-out spot. The Family that manages are courteous and extremely kind. You always feel at ease and welcome. It means a lot as a repeat customer to be greeted with a smile every time. The menu boasts classics and a large variety family favorites that will not disappoint. Beef and broccoli, General Tsos chicken, and an Orange chicken plate with your choice of steamed or fried rice that is absolutely to die for. My favorite is Vegetable Fried Rice. I order with extra veggies and half salt. Its prepared fast and fresh and pristine. Make it a point to try them out. You will always make it a point thereafter. Always delicious.

Excellent food and quick service. We almost left when we found that it was take out only, but glad we decided to take back to hotel. It was so good. Egg rolls. Wontons and beef with snow peas are all great choices.

Consistently good food. Only open for take out currently. Recommend trying it out over Great Wall or little hunan for sure.

My first time here with a friend who comes so often that the main waitress knows her. Loved the shrimp and snow peas that I got. Fortune cookie was AWESOME! They were extremely busy on this Sunday afternoon, but we were taken care of quite well.

I ve been getting take out here for years. Food is always hot and fresh, if not you took forever to pick it up. I guarantee most people leaving bad reviews are from Midland and used to eating the shxxx food in this town. This is the best chinese in Midland, without a doubt. Ask for chili oil if you like spicy Order the egg roll too, Please quit comparing this place to panda X or the mall!

Weve eaten here off and on for 5 years. We just ordered takeout from them most recently. They have impeccable customer service, always friendly. Their food is decent quality, but it is a little bit bland, hence the 3 stars.

Its a good little Chinese resteraunt to go to. They are a big resteraunt so no worry about it being packed and tight together. The fpod is really good. I love there beef lo mein noodles. And there general tso chicken. There sauces on the chicken or beef is really good. If your a huge fan of chinease food and want a relaxing resteraunt go here!

Worst Chinese place Ive been to in my life. Bland, way beyond the mediocre Americanized Chinese food available pretty much anywhere else in the country. Super bland. Its food and Id eat it again if there was no other option, but I wont be back. Ever. Not even worth a second chance. No veg in the chicken lo mein... no flavor either. Szechuan beef..... so bland. Big dissapointment. UPDATE: I did go back for a second time... only because it was a business lunch and someone else picked the spot. So, I ordered the garlic pork and the waitress said it was sweet, was that ok? I asked if it could be made not sweet (why would a garlic, meat dish be sweet?). She said she would tell them not to make it too sweet. Well, it was like the sauce they served it in was a third corn syrup....sickeningly sweet. In summary that was two times too many. I wont go back again. Also since I did the first review almost 2 years ago, prior to the update, I have found a decent Chinese place in town. Great Wall on Midland and Neely is pretty good. Its Americanized Chinese, but its good and I havent been disappointed yet.

Very nice staff and clean on the inside but the food was not good at all, very bland. The sauce on the general tso chicken was EXTREMELY SWEET and the chicken pieces were huge.

Nice atmosphere, eggrolls are decent everything else not good. Paopao platter nasty. General Tao chicken was sweet. Stomach hurts after leaving.

The staff are awesome and the atmosphere is calming. The friendly waitress we had was very nice and happy. If we had a question she would answer it. She asked my son if he wanted a kids cup or an adult cup. Which we loved because he is the only little one we have left and he doesnt like being left out. Most times noone ask that and one of us switches cups with him. Right then and there I know we would tip good. The food was hot and very well placed on the plates. It smelt good and the taste was good as well. We had sweet and sour chicken and steamed rice. It was very fulfilling. The tea was good and our cups were never empty. We will be going there again.

So happy me and my husband found this place by accident. Have not had Chinese food this good for over 15 years.

Best authentic Chinese food in town. You have to ask for the authentic dishes though, as most have been taken off the menu due to people in Midland being accustomed to Americanized Chinese food.

1st time here... Food was great, service started out slow but was fine during the meal... We had the fried dumplings & egg rolls for Apps then pan fried noodles and general Tso chicken for main course... all were excellent!
