Chicken was so burned I could barely eat half my meal.

Food is always delicious and service is great.

Food came out a bit slow for two dishes but overall it was a good quality place. Would come again for sure. Price is reasonable too.

We were there for a quick in and out but the people who helped us were incredibly kind and helpful. The food is great and reasonably priced

Great Wall is so much better with fresher food and better prices. Ordered the cashew chicken. The bell peppers used were over ripe and soft. They are literally across the street from United. They have zero excuses why their vegetables are ild and stale. I had high hopes for this place. One plate with no drink $22. Really?

Its the first time Ive visited this place with my family and I thought everything was excellent! Very good food, very friendly staff and very clean and pleasant atmosphere! I recommend ordering the duck dish and the prices are very fair, and they serve you quite a bit of delicious food! % recommended

In town for work and have ordered takeout from here twice in a week. Without a doubt the best Chinese takeout I ve ever had. Absolutely love their Spicy Cucumber salad, the Crispy Szechuan chicken and the hot and spicy chicken. So so good. I probably won t be back in Midland again but if I am, I will for sure be stopping by this place again.

There was a lot of food but we ordered the chicken with white rice and there was no white rice. Kind of disappointing to eat crispy chicken by itself without any rice.

Good food with generous lunch potions. Szechuan twice cooked pork was nicely spiced and garlicky. Orange chicken sauce was thicker so it truly stayed on the chicken. Fried rice was average.

First time trying. Will return! The service was great, very friendly staff who made sure our drinks were promptly refilled and our food came out quickly and hot. The food was delicious! We tried the steamed pork dumplings, eggs rolls, and cucumber salad to start. For our entrees we got General Tso s tofu with lo mein and the house lo mein. The portions on appetizers and entrees were very generous so we will be enjoying take home for lunch tomorrow. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the spice level was really nice. The menu is very extensive, would recommend checking it before you go. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Not too loud, and the decor was beautiful. Can t wait to go back and try more of the menu options.

I ordered take out from the midland, tx. Instead my order went to the odessa, tx store, 40 minutes from me. They automatically added an $11.00 tip to my order, with out permission. I ordered the crispy chicken. There was more peppers in my bowl than chicken. It was so spicy, I couldnt eat it. What a waste of money. I will never order another meal from szechuan house. I just recieved a call from the szechuan house. She tried telling me everything that I complained about didnt happen. I told her I spent $95.00 and all of our food was so horrible it went in the garbage. My husband ordered the crispy chicken. It had 4 pieces of chicken in the bowl and enough red pepers to cover a 9 inch plate. It was so hot it was ineatable. The szehuan house representative said that there was more than enough checken in the meal. I asked if it was customary to only have 4 piecens of checken. She kept saying there was enough chicken. The person I spoke to wouldnt listen to our experience, just that it never happed. Horrible customer service. It just cements why I will never patronize the szechuan house again.

This post is strictly dealing with their deliveries. Twice now I ve gotten someone else s order. I know they use third party but make sure you give them the right order. When you cal you re told contact the third party. The food in house is amazing. If you can t get delivery right don t offer it.

Really great dinner.

We ve eaten here 3x this week alone, each time everything had tasted the exact same, very delicious. The servers are very attentive, and pay attention to the details. They even put tape on my daughter s lid to prevent her from spilling it, everything we have tried has been fresh, and flavorful. It is extremely clean on the inside (including the restrooms), the food comes out quickly, and is always very hot. I highly recommend this place! (Can t say that about many other places here in midland, most have terrible service and subpar food quality and flavor)

UPDATE: The business replied to my review, which I appreciate - so I am bumping up their service rating internally here. Thank you for being open to having me back as a customer. I cant eat meat, so I have to stick to their seafood dishes, so that does limit a lot of their options for me. After trying a dish that I loved, I now have designated this restaurant as THE place for that dish and I only come here to eat that: its the Salt and Pepper Shrimp dish with fried rice. That dish carries the crown here. I even drove to the Odessa Szechuan House branch to eat the same dish, but they dont serve that and their menu is completely different from the Midland branch Szechuan House. The first time I dined here, we were seated right in front of the bar and our server was insistent on hovering around us constantly - Im not even exaggerating, she was always there. I could feel her eyes on us at all times. You could constantly feel that all she wanted from us was the check and for us to leave - she was not rude at all, it was just that we couldnt take our sweet time to eat there in peace. The vibes of please eat quickly and get out of here were way too strong. I saw that she didnt do that hovering with the other couples who were dining there - maybe it was because it was just two females dining out here, that she behaved like this? Either way, it disturbed my entire eating experience and I was turned off from coming again for 3 months. The service experience is just.... not warm. The servers always give a surprised look whenever we decline drinks - they even asked us twice after we said no, and then the manager even came and asked us if we wanted drinks. Why is no not an acceptable response? Are we not allowed to decline drinks? Finally, after that long hiatus, my mom convinced me to try again and this time, we were seated somewhere else (so not immediately in the eyes of the servers gawking at us like vultures) and served by a different gentleman. This visit was much better but I made the mistake of ordering steamed fish.... It was beautiful, fresh, and hot, but it was my first time, and I didnt expect it to look so.... white and bland. It was perfectly steamed, but that was the day I learned I could not eat steamed fish. The portion size was AWESOME too - too big for two people! That was a good deal. But the star of the show has always been the Salt and Pepper Shrimp for me - you cant go wrong. It is a bit dry, but personally for us, the fried rice makes up for it. I always get the Salt and Pepper Shrimp here every time and they have consistently cooked it perfectly. The shrimp is beautiful, the batter isnt heavy or irritating, and the onions/red peppers/chili seasoning mixture is superb. The rice is good too, but you only get the standard side size, so I always have to order another - which is a tad expensive since its such a small portion of rice. This dish also doesnt send my gut into a frenzy of abdominal body pain, so that works well. The service here is not their forte - hasnt been extremely pleasant or warm, but thats fine, since Im paying for the chefs tastes, not the customer service. They are all hard-working people, though! I havent tried any other dishes of theirs. Ive also tried their spring rolls and they are fresh and crispy! Great as an appetizer. But, if you have chronic gut issues, the vegetables inside the spring rolls might be too sensitive for your gut and might trigger an IBS attack, but it all depends on your body. Eat with caution, though they are delicious and cooked well!

First time having lunch with my daughter at this place. We did not order off lunch specials... the amount of entree was a double portion. It is pricy but it not the average Chinese place that only offers very few dishes and does only take out. The taste is above average for the kung pao chicken. The spring rolls need help because no taste. Nice atmosphere, great service. I will be back but maybe only monthly, we spent 50 dollars and just got entree and an order of spring rolls. The truth is going out to eat anywhere is expensive lately, so food better be worth it. We will be back to try more dishes.

Went for my son birthday dinner this place is soooo Delicious! I love the decor and design. Friendly fast service they packed up our left over and just the best place and not over priced. Loved it! Thank you for providing an excellent place to celebrate my sons 29th birthday!

I really enjoyed eating here a bit pricey but worth it. Better than the one in Odessa. I come here almost once a week to treat my family and I. I love their flat noodles and they have real authentic dishes.

I dont recommend this restaurant. The food is horrible. They also take care of you with bad taste. I dont know what those people who work here have. What I recommend is the other Szechuan House restaurant in Odessa, Texas. The food there is delicious and they serve you kindly. I give it 10 out of 10. Come and try the delicious food

One of the best Chinese restaurants Ive been to in years. Great menu and everything prepared beautifully. Nice looking restaurant and the food is top notch. My entree came on a square shovel head, really creative way to serve things up.

This was our first time coming here, and we were thoroughly impressed. The food was excellent. The service was great, save for one minor hiccup (explained later). The portions were Texas sized, and I love that mine came on a shovel plate. The wait staff were all very friendly and we enjoyed speaking with them. I even mentioned that I have a shellfish allergy even though my son ordered clams. Upon hearing this in the back, one of the guys came out to make sure there was no mistake, so I wouldnt have an issue. The only hiccup was more of a cultural thing. My wife needed a to-go box, and the waitress was asked if she needed help putting it together. My wife said she was good, but the waitress tried to hold the box even though my wife said she was good. Not a big enough issue to reduce star level in our book. Definitely recommend this place.

Great food! When the food is ready they bring it out. Even if just one dish is ready. They re not gonna let one dish get cold waiting on the other dish. They are definitely not fast food. Everything is made fresh so it may take 15 minutes or more. Below is the general Taos chicken and beef and broccoli which was amazing. Enjoy!

Just slightly underwhelming. Maybe I had high expectations for this place because my friend who is chinese told me this was gonna be really good based off what he was reading on the menu Now, was it good? Yes. It was pretty good. The only thing I felt was for the prices we payed, it was just underwhelming. We had gotten some 2 dishes and an appetizer, and the bill was around $65. I think wed go back to try some more stuff, but definitely wouldnt come back often considering how pricey it was for just a simple lunch.

Hands down the best Chinese style restaurant in Midland. Glad it opened. I say style because its Szechuan food (Chinese province). Recommend the wontons in Szechuan sauce. Kung Pao was very good as well.

Authentic Chinese food with the Tangy note of the Chinese 5th taste, Szechuan peppercorns on my plate! I had Peking Duck delicious, tender, well cook and well presented. My plate was served in a cute fire plate that keep my dish in fire while I ate. The service was very good and nice by Chinese team I ask to one the guys for recommendations for my next visit. I grabbed a Menu to go, to call and order from home.. my mission is to try all the plates from the menu.

At last a place that serves authentic twice cooked pork !! We devoured this dish. A great vegetarian option is the eggplant in garlic -chili sauce plus fried tofu. Great sauce and eggplant cooked well. We also tried the Peking chicken (I must say bold move to even have that on the menu). It was ok - flavor and the cook was spot , however skin not crispy. A good fix if you need it. I m excited to go back. Next time I would try: cumin lamb, salt and pepper pork ribs (or shrimp), sautéed green beans, lobster in ginger sauce, flounder fish if you want the Szechuan flavor! Vegetarian options: Had eggplant and tofu

My wife and I went there yesterday for lunch. We prepared ourselves for a wait because it was lunch and the parking lot was nearly full. As we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and promptly seated at a very clean table. We had been at this place before it was a Chinese restaurant and were really surprised at the changes they made to improve the atmosphere. There were three waitresses, one bus boy, a manager, and one other assistant, keeping everything flowing smoothly and efficiently. These people were moving! They all had smiles! They asked every table if they needed anything, even if it wasnt their table! I ordered steamed pork buns and chicken lo-mein while my wife ordered pork fried rice. It took about 10 minutes for the food to hit our table, but it was hot, well plated, and plentiful! It was also delicious! I travel a lot! This was the best lo-mein Ive had in many years. The only improvement I could see in it was after tasting in pork in my wifes fried rice. The next time we return, I will be ordering lo-mein with pork! Looking around the restaurant, I didnt see an unhappy customer. Yes, the meals were around $20 a plate before the tip, but Ive paid more for less food and less quality. I cant emphasize enough how happy we were and how soon wee coming back! My friends and family have been told this is the place to eat!

The newest Chinese restaurant in Midland is a hit. We tried the General s Chicken and Salt & Pepper Prawns and both were spicy and delicious. The General s sauce was sweet but not too thick, and they can season to taste - so if you want it a little more spicy, just ask. Service is quick and attentive ask for Kyle when you go in for great service.

Place was beautiful, waitress was nice, food came out super fast. It was our first time, and we brought our kids in for a meal after two soccer practices. My son accidentally ordered a spicy dish and he hates spicy food, so when he received it, they saw he was unhappy and gave us 50% the plate Unfortunately all of the food was extremely spicy and none of us could take more than a few bites. We enjoy moderately spicy food, but this was definitely a lot more than we were used to being that there was handfuls of chiles in the dishes with seeds included. Yes, I understand that s probably authentic. I m sure there is stuff on the menu that wouldn t have given us this experience, however we spent $150 here, which feels like a ton of money wasted.

So glad that I found this unique authentic Szechuan style place. The food were awesome, and the service was great. I love their Szechuan double cooked pork, hot and spicy chicken, and Foil wrapped beef with peanuts. I will definitely come back and bring my friend and family in !!! :)

I sooooooo love their sausage fried rice!! Seasoned great!! Regular fried rice is plain til you add soy sauce but with this place they have different kind of seasoning and no need for soy sauce!!! Hubby bought black bean and came with white rice he loves it. The sauce is tasty too... my sister got house seafood soup and the bowl is huge..lol..and she said it tastes great!!! Yall gotta come and try it out!!!! Vegetarian options: No meat!!! Seriously it tastes great!!

So good! Szechuan food is my favorite and I m so happy to have it here in Midland. Szechuan Crispy Beef, Boiled Flounder, Dan Dan Noodles, and wontons in chili oil were all delicious. The family style portions were generous for 2, so we took plenty home. Edit: our second visit was just as good, if not better. Szechuan Crispy Shrimp and Dry Pot Chicken were incredible if you like spicy food.

What little meat it did have was buried under excessive chile peppers and excessive onions. The fried rice was bit salty, stale, some pieces were hard. Food was brought out within seconds, which tells me it was not fresh. Overpriced for being underserved. None of the food was fresh, also the service was horrible!

This is the best Asian food weve had yet in Midland! The atmosphere in the building is great and super clean, and our server was on top of it. The portion size is huge -- we didnt even get close to finishing our meals!

I visited this restaurant for their lunch special take out yesterday, and I must say it was an outstanding experience. The price was incredibly reasonable for a Chinese dish including rice, with the total bill coming in at under $15, including tax. The portion size was generous, to say the least. Even as a 5-foot 8-inch, 70kg man, I could only finish half of the meal and already felt fully satisfied. The taste of the food was exceptional. I particularly enjoyed their silky smooth scrambled eggs with tender beef. The beef was perfectly cooked, not dry or tough at all. The combination of flavors was excellent with some vegetable in it. I will definitely be returning to try more of their menu.

Good Food! Very expensive for Chinese food. My husband, my son and I went in for dinner and spent over $95. We felt like that is a little ridiculous for a family meal for 3. We only got 2 beef and 1chicken entrée. Nothing special. And 2 egg rolls and 2 soups. Also, just FYI, cause they do not tell you this when you order, but still ask if you want it, THEY CHARGE EXTRA FOR FRIED RICE. And the fried rice is nothing special or spectacular, just ordinary fried rice. There are some other Chinese food places in the area that are just as good and way better priced. We probably wont be back.

I got Door Dash. Singapore noodles, General Tso, dry pot pork and cabbage, beef teriyaki!!!! (I think the only place in Midland that has that) and vegetable fried rice. Everything was fantastic. So many flavors! Happy to have a asian food that is delicious and new.

This became one of my favorite Chinese restaurants to go to, me and my friends decided to try this place for the first time this Saturday, my favorite dishes was the salf and pepper lobster with fried noodles and the peking duck, cant wait to come back again!

Very nice inside, no head banger music that you cant hear yourself think. Had Singapore noodles, they made it spicy for me, nit watered down for Americans. Was delicious Owner, you need to make menu with more pictures, it will help a lot, most people dont know what it is. Waiter from Oregon was super cool guy! Will be going back regularly.

Food was great, nice and hot but the service was absolutely horrible. She was very rude, we had to get up and ask for salt, then silverware. She drops the food off and runs. She never came and asked us if we were okay and if the food was good.

Went here today with four other coworkers. We wanted to try a new spot and overall this place did not disappoint. The service was quick and the drinks were kept filled. The food was also quick and tasted delicious. When in Midland we will definitely return to this restaurant. Parking: Tons of parking.

It was great! I ordered the Lou main with a side of rice and man it was amazing! The waitress was on top of our drinks and making sure we had everything and made sure our food was right. Came out 10 mins later after we ordered hot and ready! I will come back !

The best Chinese food I ve had in Midland

Ordered the ginger lobster and orange chicken with spring and pork egg rolls. Food was good. The ginger lobster was deep fried with chunks of shell still attached which threw me off but maybe that s the intended style.

Huge, tasty spicy flounder soup, takoyaki, egg drop soup, and pumpkin cakes. Huge menu. Cant wait to return

Best chinese food in town!

Ordered takeout today around 6pm, only one guest in the dining area. Sadly, we were not at all impressed with the food for such high prices. Sesame chicken was just sweet & sour sauce w/sesame seeds not your typical sesame flavor; Low Mein was extremely greasy and something, either the noodles or meat was burnt because it had a very bitter aftertaste and I double any of the veggies had anything to do with that; egg drop was very starchy like thick slime, that is not soup. Spring rolls were just pure soggy cabbage inside and thats it, they fell apart at first grab - yuck! The chocolate bear dessert was placed inside the bag on top of the hot dishes so when we opened the bag, it was a glob of melted chocolate. My grandbaby was pretty sad about that lol...The only positive was that the fried pork buns were someone decent. I am Asian and this is not what you would expect for restaurant dining. Unfortunately, it was not enjoyable for us. Perhaps Chef was not feelin it today....But be your own judge and try it for yourself, maybe you will have a better experience!

Food is absolutely delicious. Servers are very attentive and service is quick. Their egg drop soup is my favorite.

This place is amazing, the flavors are so original and amazing, and the value you get is great, my wife and I had dinner for 27 dollars we share the three cup chicken, the chicken was so tender and flavorful, the portions are bid enough to share I will recommend this restaurant to everyone

Midlands hidden secret, if you haven t been you have to try this place. The food is spectacular, atmosphere is beautiful and the service was excellent! I highly recommend this place. Some of the best Chinese food I ve ever had!

I had family come down for my early birthday celebration and we decided to try this place out.. We were not disappointed. They were patient with us and helped us individually with our orders and explained everything. Thank you for your patience and kindness and the food was Delicious. We will definitely come back!

This was a real treat. I had the pork steamed dumplings with a spicy lamb. I cant tell you on the menu which one it was, but it had the picture of it next to the beef items. I waiter recommended it, and he was spot on. This is a great place to try. If you are up for some classy Chinese, come here. It was enough for 2 easy. So bring a friend or a date, or just do what I did and take a lot home!

Just expensive

Was looking for some authentic Chinese food and this spot is hands down best in midland. I want to thank the chef and staff, especially Mindy for helping with selecting a dish and being a great waitress. chef brought me a special desert. Blasting with flavor I love it.

Salt and pepper chicken wings and their Lo Mein is delicious. Fried rice is great! We ve tried their general tso (beef and chicken) as well as their curry chicken and both are good. Consistent and tasty every time!

Almost 2 stars the place had a strange order youll notice immediately entering the door. But the food pretty good. It has a great atmosphere. The food has an authentic taste. The plates dont serve much greens so its mostly large meat portion size. If they can just spray some deodorizer Id give it an extra star.

We really enjoyed everything about this restaurant. Best Chinese food experience we have had in Midland for 10+ years. Food was served quickly, hot, fresh including appetizers, soups and main courses. We had a refreshing light dessert afterward. Service was 5 star. Restaurant was very clean. I hope Midland supports this restaurant and that the restaurant maintains this quality!

I cannot rave enough about this place. Consistently awesome

While the food at Szechuan House was decent, the service left much to be desired. We experienced an unsettling disparity in how our waitress treated us compared to the customer right next to us. It felt discriminatory and tainted our overall dining experience. While we were neglected, menus snatched from my hands, and plates put down very roughly, the diner by us was greeted and treated very politely and attentively. I hope the management addresses this issue promptly.

The waiter has a bad attitude, the one wearing glasses, I almost knocked him off because he got mad, and he starts yelling because he got the wrong order. Never coming back to this place.

If you havent been, drop everything and go right now. The menu prices will stagger you at first, until you see that you can literally feed two to three people with an entree as everything is served family style like Kuos used to do. The service staff is friendly and accommodating as well. Go. Now.

The server was below average for Midland, but the food was excellent. They do automatically add 18% gratuity so dont be tricked into double tipping on the receipt. The food was worth it . Restaurant was clean and menu easy to understand.

The food here is amazing! Fast, fresh, and lots of it. All of the different sauces are incredible! The service was prompt and friendly. Prices are very reasonable.

I have enjoyed every dish I have tried so far. The food is familiar Chinese type food, but with a lot more effort put into it. It makes you wonder if you have been eating Chinese food wrong and now get to taste real crusine.

BEST FRIED RICE HANDS DOWN! Me and my family come here quite often and are always greeted nicely by the employees. Definitely recommend this place 100%.

Unfortunately, we went on a Saturday afternoon. Pretty pricey! Great place to pick up a lunch that isnt very expensive. They offer the specials only at lunch!

Came with work colleagues and ordered from the lunch menu. Came with a choice of egg drop soup or hot & sour soup. I was pleasantly surprised that the lunch portion was plentiful. Very tasty too. Service was excellent.

Got invited to join a group of friends to join them for dinner and arrived right as the table received a wide arrangement of plates. There was so many things to try and the food was absolutely delicious! It was such a great experience being able to try things I likely wouldnt normally order. The service was super friendly and considerate. Everything was fantastic and was very happy to have found a new staple for Asian cuisine when Im in Midland.

FINALLY found some excellent Chinese food in West Texas, after 10 years of searching. My husband and I dined in on a Saturday night late night - the staff was incredibly gracious and kind. The food was some of the best Chinese I ve had since leaving Houston. We ordered the pork steamed dumplings, crab Rangoon, the chicken lo mein and the crispy Szechuan beef. My husband liked that the crispy beef wasn t drowning in sauce like a lot of Chinese dishes commonly are. It was one of those meals that was so good that we debated going back the next day. Portion sizes were large for the price and left us with plenty of leftovers. Will definitely be adding this place to our regular Midland rotation!

The best Chinese food Ive ever had! They have the best service in Midland. The food is always hot and delicious! They also do some fun off menu items, like the lobster! Yum! Youve got to try it!

Best Chinese food in Midland! My husband and I love the Szechuan spices. We tried the golden buns for dessert, they were wonderful, crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside with a tasty dipping sauce. The staff have been wonderful each time we ve been there.

Great authentic Chinese cuisine, don t just try the typical American Chinese staples, get more traditional dishes like the boiled flounder fillet cumin lamb, and Yangzhou fried rice, and portion sizes are easily enough food for 3 people

Tonkatsu Ramen was amazing and the mochi was delightful. Come here for ramen and mochi!!!! Love it.

Good food and service, perfect for a cold night

**UPDATED 11/23** Kung Pao Chicken Vegetables werent cooked enough, spice was only in the chilis not in the rest of the dish. Beef and broccoli meat was a little on the tough side broccoli undercooked average flavor. I can only recommend the Beef Boil Soup at this point** (old review)Man!! First off let me tell you, when you sit in a Chinese restaurant and see Asian people eating there that dont work there youll probably gonna be in for a good time!! Well thats was the case!! I ordered the Boiled Beef!! Oh my lord! The bowl was Ginormous!! After it cooled down I managed to get a bite!! The flavors just exploded, fresh, spicy so delicious!! Im very excited and eager to go back and try the other dishes!! This is the best Chinese Ive had in over 15 years!! Highly recommended!!
