Italian Village Restaurant in Midland

Wonderful place for a date night. Pasta was great, veal was tender and the Riesling was just right!

Much better than originally thought.

Sevice was excellent!!!! Appetizer was so so but food was good.

I had high hopes for this place. We visited this evening for our anniversary dinner. We both ordered veal marsala, and it was tasteless. It did not taste like Marsala at all. My husband ordered noodles instead of potatoes and the noodles were so over cooked they were falling apart. We decided to order tiramisu for dessert and it was not good at all. I don t usually post things like this, but I would take your money somewhere else.

Food and service were excellent. Staff was friendly and the bananas foster was the best I ve had outside of New Orleans

The salmon was amazing. Best cheese cake in Midland . Very personal service. Service quick and friendly. Parking: Handicap parking was perfect place for a car ramp.

My dinner was perfect! Love this place.

Last nights fish special was nasty smelling and tasting. I sent it back, and the server blamed me for not understanding how red snapper smells or tastes. I can assure everyone, I and everybody at our table was blown away with nasty aroma when I cut into the fish. I have tried over the years to support this place. I will not be back!

Had the veal parm. Very tasty and filling. This place is definitely in my rotation.

Really enjoyed our meal, my husband is not a fan of italian and he even enjoyed his meal. Drinks were great too. Will definitely be coming back

Disappointed to say the least. Pasta was extremely over cooked, with absolutely NO seasoning. Everything simply tasted shook stright from a can. I dont mind spending top dollar on a well prepared meal. The prices are very reasonable but not reasonable enough to give them a second chance to disappoint. Servers good and the atmosphere is nice.

Always such great service! Their food is really good. I love the eggplant parm, the lasagna is delicious, and this time I got the zappa seafood dish. It was wonderful!

Very nice, quiet Italian bistro dining. Good food. I had the shrimp scampi linguine. The only gripe is the Hershey syrup on the Cannoli.

This is my wife s and I go to Italian place, we love this place. Her being 100% Italian she can tell you this is as authentic as it gets.

Chef boy r dee is better than this place. The food was cold and WAY over priced. I got thier steak special and asked for it to be cooked med it was rare and also included a weird brown gravy. It took 45 min to get our drink order. This place is a hard pass.

This place is great if you want a quiet meal with your family. Waiter was very polite and spot on with what ever we asked. Food was magnificent one of the best Italian meals my wife and I have had in a long time. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that asked

My salad was warm. The lasagna was cold and tasteless. When we sent back full plates of food, the waiter should have asked what was wrong, but did not. I kindly paid my 45.00 check, and went elsewhere to get food.

This is a quaint lil bistro the service was some of the best Ive ever had in Midland or Odessa I would like to say thank yall for the wonderful service and great food hopefully we can make it back in soon

As soon as me and my boyfriend walked in we felt rushed, unwelcome and judge. We were sat down immediately, on the opposite side of a few occupied tables by the wall. The server never asked what we wanted to drink (I m assuming he thought we were underage?) we set our things down and 2 seconds later the server is asking what we d like; we have not even opened the menu yet. We ask for a minute and that s exactly how much time he gave us before he asked again. My food was okay, my boyfriend got Shrimp Alfredo but the dish tasted like olive oil... I don t think we ll be back soon, maybe when we are mid aged we ll give it another shot.

The food was plain and bland the manager kept looking and staring at guest got uncomfortable the bathroom sink was filthy Im scared to touch it.

It was a slow evening so it wasnt too noisy. Food was great!!! Service was great as well!

This place is the best italian place around in my opinion. They have great salads entrees and beautiful desert. If you like coffee, I highly suggest the tiramisu it is beautifully rich and decadent. Over all amazing place and the staff is really kind. Vegetarian options: For a really nice vegetarian option I highly recommend the eggplant parmisian.

The food tasted like it was microwaved. My husband and I got the eggplant rollatini and it was cold/warm. The cheese was so caked on top it wouldn t cut through. It was so gross. I got the spinach salad with raspberry vinaigrette and the vinaigrette tasted like jam! Yes, jam! For toast! I was blown away with how weird it tasted. I ordered the trout and it tasted microwaved too. It tasted fishy and I know that s not supposed to be a good thing. I had to stop 1/4 way through cause my stomach started to hurt. My husband got the chicken Parmesan and the chicken was cold and rubbery. The cheese was thick and hard too. We couldn t finish it. It truly was a waste of money, I don t see how people can eat this when Venizias is down the road. This place use to be good but now it just garbage. I ll never cheat on Venizias again after this experience. Take my word when I say it s not worth the money. No wonder it was empty on a SATURDAY.

Ask for the dipping oil for your bread. Its incredible! Great good and atmosphere. Give it a try if youre in town...

Food took forever, people came in after us, got their food before us. Food was cold, trout was actually salmon. Waiter was very unattentive. Never again

The dinner was delicious, fresh, and authentic! The service was attentive, prompt, and very friendly! The owner was enjoyable to visit with when we complimented him on his establishment! The atmosphere overall was refreshing and relaxing and the best dining experience we have had in some time!

Literally the worst Rack of Lamb I have ever had. The meat was old, the sides were greasy and the management uncaring. There s a reason only two tables were occupied in this restaurant. Treat yourself better go somewhere else

I try and support local places as much as possible, but I will have to pass on this place in the future. It just didnt have a home made taste and almost seemed like it was frozen and microwaved. I wish them the best and maybe my tastes are different than others.

Tried calling an order in, and was put on hold for 10 minutes. Decided to go place order in person. Stood in lobby/bar for 20 minutes and not a single staff offered any help. Unprofessional buffoons!

Incredible staff and excellent food!!

Very nice inside and very good food. The owner is on site every time I ve been there and is very kind and works his tail off. I ve seen him do everything there. In my opinion seeing an owner clean messes, bus tables, run food, host, and make drinks tells me a lot about the person and the place and that makes me want to do that much more to support that business. Furthermore the food is great and the atmosphere inside is very nice and very welcoming. It is a homely and quaint place that would be good for families or first dates.

This was our first experience at Italian Village and it was great. Our server Aaron was excellent and the food was also. We have found a true gem in Midland for Italian. Can t wait to go back. If you can get Aaron as your server you won t be disappointed

Amazing food, great atmosphere, and perfect service, the Italian Cake is amazing for dessert. We will for sure be back to try the bananas foster cooked right at your table.

My wife and I came into Midland from Sonora to work for the week ,we always do fast food,on this day we decided to go sit and eat. I wanted spaghetti and was nit disappointed in our choice to eat. Mannnys hats off to you and the establishment, well served and well prepared, srrvings out of this world along with the service. Please excuse our work attire!We definitely be back and bring others with us.

The worst restaurant I have ever gone in my life. Do not recommend to anyone. The only good that happened was the waiter, so polite and nice to us. My family and I have been all over the world and we know about culinary food experience. This place doesnt deserve not even one star.

What a gem of a restaurant! The service was top notch and the food was amongst the best Ive ever had! My daughters wanted Italian and went to all the usual spots with at least a 45 minute wait , so we took a chance on this place, even though the parking looked full. To my surprise, we were seated immediately. Lesson learned about this place, even if the parking is full, the restaurant, probably is not. We will definitely be coming back!

Regularly visit Italian Village and have never had bad food or service. I am working my way through the entire menu and am looking forward to every bite. Wonderful food and atmosphere.

For an Italian restaurant in west Texas it s not the worst. It s also not the best, but it gets the job done. Most entrées are hit or miss. The best thing IMO is their basic Alfredo noodles.

A group of 4 of us went here for New Years Eve dinner. Id rate it just above the quality and atmosphere of Olive Garden, because its not a dressy place like it use to be. We had a variety of food - chicken cordon bleu (special entree of the night), stuffed chicken, and tortellini with vodka sauce. Everything was good, no big complaints. I noticed the wine list has a higher markup than usual, but we each had a glass. The service was definitely a winner! Our waiter was very attentive, frequently filling our water glasses & making sure we didnt need anything else. I did notice that he was watching in a corner & seemed anxious for us to leave, but not sure why. Anyway, I do recommend it for a casual Italian dinner with great service!

We though this place was going to be good far from it the seafood pasta I got as soon as I tasted the salmon it was tanted sour and bitter I told the manager/owner and before I could even finish telling him he said what are you talking about I just got this salmon in today he picked up my plate and said do want something else my wifes chicken was not fresh like half way cooked from frozen she told him he picked up her plate and said what are you all talking about this is authentic Italian food and he said you all can just go didnt say sorry or anything we wasnt rude at all t deserve this treatment and my little boys Alfredo sauce was very little and dry

Classy place, you should do your best to treat it that way. They are in business for a fine dining experience. Check your work clothes at your house before you shower. Excellent service and food.

Food taste was good, but as most places in Midland, definitely lacked on service. Waiter forgot our salads, forgot about the appetizer, and food came out cold. Give it 5 for taste but 1 for service. Definitely pricey and being so, needs tremendous service to account for prices

The kitchen could not send out a correct order and we were the first customers in the restaurant. I also ordered and was charged for a glass of wine I never received. The manager didnt really even seem to care. Terrible customer service.

If I could give a lower rating I would. To start, it was a nice dinner with a colleague, the food however... terrible! I cant express how disappointed I was. I judge an Italian restaurant on a short list, 1-Chicken Parm, 2- Pasta. 3- Sauce. Im no fan of RAGU, I like an authentic Italian sauce... the sauce I had @ Mannys I think came out of a can, not just the bottom shelf stuff that says Sauce on the label but the other ones behind the cans on the bottom shelf of your local grocery store. The Pasta, I made a request for Angel hair, they didnt even have it. Instead served a Chicken Parm with a Penne. Never had it that way, probably never will again. It was a little over cooked the Penne kept breaking apart. The Chicken Parm was very bland, and a little rubbery and the breading just clumped off the entree. The place was crowded the entire time I was there so apparently I got the wrong thing or was just unlucky. What I did get was bad enough that I will never go again. I dont want to, but would pick Olive Garden or Fazzolis before Mannys.

Once we were seated it was 10-15 minutes before we got a waiter asked us for a drink. When they finally asked for our order, the calamari was not fully cooked. The filet was cold and not properly cooked. The Italian restaurant barley had Italian food. And for the exorbitant price the food and serves was horrible. When it was Manys it was excellent. Now Italian village is a cheap over priced knock off. Will never go there again. And you shouldn t ether. Save yourself some money and time.

I was super excited to try out this restaurant. Im a huge lover of Italian dishes so I always try my best to go to new italian places. The atmosphere of this place makes you feel like you are going to get the best meal of your life and for the price you better. Sadly I was disappointed. My guests shrimp scampi was nothing but salt and my dish, lacked any type of seasoning. I mean its an Italian restaurant I should be tasting garlic, basil, oregano, or hell even parsley but nothing. My alfredo sauce was almost like a thick gravy, again lacking any type seasoning. Just very disappointed.

It was very pleasant I had a very romantic dinner date with my fiancé Anthony and we were very pleased with the service and the food was absolutely delightful. We had no issues with anything. We highly recommend Italian Village!

Just the wine was really good

They over cooked my steak, asked for medium but got extra well done. They offered to remake the steak, I said no, so they offered free dessert for the whole table.

If you have not visited ray bistro in Midland you have not taste Italian food today is my wife birthday and I chose this restaurant, I regret not good food terrible she order fettuccine alfredo and prosciutto and they give her ham and my filet mignon medium came well done and I told the server and she even told her manager they just dont care I have pay$47 for something not cook the right way

Best Italian restaurant in the Permian Basin, hands down. Service was amazing too. It is a little pricey but I will gladly pay it everytime for this quality. I have taken a few meetings here from people out of town and they all tell me they miss it.

My husband and I came for date night. We started with the calamari and it was delicious, perfectly cooked and the sauce that accompanied it was fantastic. I got a chicken plate (forgot the name :( ) and it was very good. My husband ordered the rack of lamb. He absolutely loved it. Our server was very nice and attentive! We definitely recommend this place and will be returning in the future.

I expected more from this place. The food was horrible. My lasagna came out cold, the noodles were tough and looked burned, the rack of lamb was raw and had no seasoning whatsoever. The raspberry glaze was more like a jam than a vinaigrette type. The pasta fagioli soup was very bland and watered down. I returned it and it was not taken off my ticket until I asked. The price was too much for poor quality food. I will not be returning.

Calamari was very salty. The place was too warm for me, I like to sit in a cool ppace when it is 100+ outside. Employees were nice though.

For the price, the taste, the service, its hard to believe this place is in Midland. A wonderful selection of good Italian food. One of the best filets Ive had, much less in Midland. The wine selection was good. And the service was excellent

Went here for breakfast and food was good. Facility was par for a very casual restaurant. Parking seemed adequate. Server seemed to be rushed but adequate. It is located along IH- 10. I might go back for breakfast.
