Luigi's Italian Restaurant in Midland

Worst tiramisu ever. Only layer that had moisture was the very bottom layer they decided to just add a dry piece of cake for the top layer.. does not taste authentic.

Food is barely okay. Service inconsistent.

Ive been going to Luigis for over 20yrs.Great place However this visit,I noticed the ground beef in my Lasagna had pork included.That would be nice to be informed,I have ate pork in 15 yrs,that was not Kool.Everything else was Great.The staff & our Servers were Excellent.I did get alternative

I love it, its food, its hospitality.

I ordered DoorDash so idk how the atmosphere is there but the sides are phenomenal. I ve never had such good chili in my life. Hate to say it mom but it beats yours then the next thing they do it let you get a sauce with your cheesy/garlic bread. I chose the Alfredo sauce and it made it 10x better. Did find out the pictures on DoorDash aren t all accurate so was bummed in not getting the picture but it happens. Got the spaghetti and ravioli but it didn t have no flavor tbh so it wasn t all that great but if you go for the Chili and Cheese Bread you will not be disappointed one bit. Will try more later on but so far the main dishes aren t the best. Let s hope it changes later.

Our waitress took over 15 minutes to even say hello to us and talked to us rudely. On top of that, messed up the order, and we saw her using a trash can as a seat. The food on the other hand, was just as bad. I received a lasagna that tasted like watered down meat and no flavor

The food has remained the same delicious recipes for everything they offer since 1954 and I have eaten there that long including driving all the way to Midland just to eat at Luigis!

First of all, I would like to start by saying thank you to the wonderful staff at Luigis. The service is excellent, fast and friendly. I can only think of a few places in Midland that check off all those boxes. Now lets talk about the food. Even if its your first time going or youre already a loyal Luiginatic, you can get anything there and it wont ever miss. Everything is delicious! Made in house, fresh and leaves you feeling satisfied. Theyre the truest representation of Italian food in West Texas. My husband and I both love their spaghetti and meat sauce the most. He said that it brought back great childhood memories and felt like a warm hug all over. Like that scene from Ratatouille where the critic has a bite and sends him into a flashback of his mothers cooking. Overall, with the service, the food and the atmosphere, Id give them 10 stars if I could. The Hochman family really created something wonderful and I would recommend Luigis to anyone wanting delicious, authentic and affordable Italian food. Grazie, Luigis!

First of all, my first time there and I could sense a lot of arrogance from all the staff including the manager. They really not very welcoming at all, almost as if youre a bother to them and like theyre doing you a favor. I went in close to closing time and ordered and when they brought me the spaghetti on the first bite it was cold and tasteless really I let the server know and she took it and brought me another one and that one was the same and she took it and brought me another one and that one was so hot that I couldnt eat it. I asked for my ticket paid and left. She didnt even ask me if I would like my tea to go I called right after to speak to the manager and of course his answer to me was they dont serve cold spaghetti, but they do. Im not a liar. I dont know where he was when my spaghetti was sent back to the kitchen 2 times for being cold. I had seen him in there I even asked him about the pictures on the wall. Finally, after him justifying his kitchen sending out cold food to customers he told me to come back give them another chance. Im offended.

Phenomenal. Old school Italian joint. The pasta is cooked al dente. The portions are good sized, the prices are a great value. The service is over the top. Front of house manager, waitress and hostess were all spot on. This little spot is a gem.

This is a wonderful Italian restaurant! The food, service & atmosphere were excellent! My husband & I enjoyed our experience here very much. I recommend that you save room for dessert. The Italian Grooms cake served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream is the best!! We will definitely be visiting this fantastic place again next time we are in the area. - Be blessed!

My favorite for antipasta salad! The Alfredo can be runny at times but when they make it thick its amazing yum always fresh!

Absolutely love everything about the place, great food, great service and the atmosphere is really good. Its a little dark inside they keep the lights dimmed which was cool. Kinda place you can take a date or just the family for some really good food.

Was with a group but waitress wasnt in any hurry.

I love this place. The environment and ambiance makes you feel like youre in NY. The only reason I didnt give it five stars is because its a little crowded. The food is good and the service has always been good every time I go. The dessert is a must try. The major downside is the parking.

Sign inside the door stated dresscode. The host was wearing a Hoodia and chewing gum with open mouth. The walls were covered with dirty pics of clientele. Garlic bread was soggy. Food great. Price great.

Definitely a historic place to eat in Midland. If you work downtown its easy to walk to. After eating their big portions, youll need the walk back to walk it off.

Luigis has been one of my favorite Italian food restaurants for over 20 years!! Located in the downtown of Midland. Featuring all of the favorite Italian dishes such as Cannoli, Alfredo, chicken parmesan, manicotti and fresh salads. Definitely a place to visit. The staff is very kind. If you have a party of 6 or more, be sure to make reservations prior to your visit. Super place to visit if your in the Midland Odessa Area.

Luigis has always been a great place to eat. However, this last time I went there the food was not as good as previously and the portions were smaller. I wouldnt call my most recent visit great. Can only give it 3 stars overall this time.

I ordered to-go food, pizza snack and an order or lasagna. Ive never seen smaller portions in my life that cost so much. The lasagna was just a bowl of sauce, disgusting. The pizza was burnt on the bottom and the sides. What a rip off.

My first experience was a good one, the food was very good and well worth the drive to get it. I am definitely going back for more. Go try this place when your in the area.

Keto pizza was not bad tasting, but pricey.

Last time ordering online was a mess. Took almost 2 hours to get our food sitting in the parking lot and nobody called back or came out.

When the only thing of quality you serve is store bought frozen bread, 2nd time trying this place both times were hugely disappointing, its hard to make olive garden look good but this place makes going to olive garden like going to a 5 star restaurant.

Yuck ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was subpar.. I mean it was thin and doughey how does that even happen. I have the answer Midland... the city has some of the worst food that I have seen.

This place is a hole in the wall. I almost didnt find it. After my navigation took me down a one way road, I finally up, got out and could immediately smell it. I walk inside to a small bar and dining area with candle lit tables everywhere! I only tried the pizza and it was amazing! Im definitely going back and will dine in next time!! If you are looking for excellent Italian food and a romantic night, trust me this is the place to go!!

The food wasnt very good. They also dont give you very big portions. The wait took forever for mediocre food. I was disappointed because Ive heard good things. Definitely my least favorite Italian restaurant in Midland.

Horrible. That is the only word for it. The wine I wanted was the best they had and was still only a 25 dollar bottle at the store but I could not order it since I was alone. This was the worst lasagna I have ever had. Just go to olive garden it is 1000x better. Messed up salad how dont know. Was a Ceasar with tomato and was a bowl of dressing with a little lettuce Will never go back. I ate 2 bites of my food and returned it and did not even ask way. Horrible service. Parking: None

We enjoyed this little Italian eatery from my wifes childhood. She indicated that little had changed in the past 40 years! The food was served hot and was good!

Do not order from here!!!! Menu is deceiving. I ordered chicken Alfredo and I got regular freaking spaghetti no refund $60 for the complete order with other stuff through Favor

I should have read the reviews first. spaghetti was dry . Maybe Luigis was great, but know its Horrible food and service. And my order was messed up and I called the restaurant and was placed on hold for 10 minutes. I will not recommend this place to my colleagues........

This place has been around forever, and we try not to miss it when we visit Midland. This visit I had the pizza snack. It wasnt anything to write home about. The pizza crust wasnt impressive and the spaghetti was somewhat bland. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their choices so perhaps this was an off night. Food

Wonderful waitress especially for how busy it was. Atmosphere was alright. The Alfredo sauce was basically milk with butter in it and the noodles on top were burned in spots from running it through the oven. The kids had spaghetti and the sauce was also overly watery but atleast had some flavor to it.

Real Italian lasagna. The best.

Its been ten years now, and there will always be a special place in my heart that never forgets this restaurant. I remember a magical evening and occasionally long for a repeat experience.

This place is wonderful and has been a staple in Midland for generations!

Im a native in this area and was introduced to this restaurant before my mom retired many years ago. This was one of her favorite places to eat during lunch. As an adult now, this place has the same flavor, ambiance or hospitality as it always had from years ago. I recently introduced it to some friends and loved it. This is an Italian restaurant which can also make pizzas (personal size) and the food is always great tasting. The salads taste fantastic (I dont eat much salad). Its a hole in the wall but worth the discovery.

Food was exactly what Ive come to expect from this Midland institution :) the pizza snack is my go to. Single topping on a half pizza and a side of spaghetti. Its tasty and filling for not a bad price. Parking is, as always, a bit of a trick. Parking: Beside building and along streets. Very limited

ordered fettuccine alfredo, half of my noodles were undercooked or burnt (don t know how that happens) food wasn t seasoned at all, tasted VERY heavily of milk, as if i was eating milk fettuccine. my husbands food was also not seasoned, nor was my child s food. place was PACKED on a wednesday. the garlic bread was also very wet (not with butter). would recommend not going here, you d be better off with italian food from olive garden.

Went for a birthday dinner, the staff was great. We had a great time and the food was fantastic. Love their pizza. Nice light crust and not skimpy on the toppings.

To start off its way to dark i was having a hard time to reading the menu. The food was really greasy.and the salad was swimming in dressing not to mention it looked old salads are prepaid and just sitting out on the counter. service was OK look like they only had one server but she was working her but off.

Food may leave you sick. We all came home not feeling well. Tbh food was barely something we could eat.. bread was stale seafood Alfredo was fake crab(horrible stuff) so we barely ate our meals. Salad was drenched in dressing. Pizza was ok to kids but they came home with upset tummies! I don t know but we will not go back! Server was friendly enough!

This place is just ok. Its super small and dated. I like the candles and tablecloths, the brick...but its time to replace the pics. The food is pretty boring. Runny, small portions and lacking flavor and excitement. Parking is hell.

Not much care in putting the pizzas together. Definitely just had ingredients thrown on, scattered in different places all over. Not the same as it use to be. $25 per pizza is a bit much for what I received.

Not LGBT friendly! Got a lot of rude looks from the servers. My friend got the chicken alfredo and the chicken tasted underseasoned but also over seasoned? The texture was like if they boiled the chicken! Upon entering the restaurant the odor was extremally offending. I dont recommend.

I was looking forward to eating here. I grew up in East Coast Jersey Italian food. The meatballs were bland and the texture was that of mechanically separated meat... Not ground beef. The garlic bread was straight from the freezer into the oven... Not real butter. The waitress was attentive. The manicotti was good... Nothing impressive. What a shame. Its not as good as the Olive Garden. I truly wish it wasnt so

The food was delicious and the service.

They had some really good pizza. Very very tasty I must say. The crust of the pie was just wow I was not expecting it to have almost a brick oven feel to it. I had some spaghetti and raviolis that were just lacking some flavor. Overall the place was very little Italy like. I might dine in next time and maybe enjoy some wine.

Bread was under cooked, the seafood Alfredo is imitation crab. One of the means was burned. Will not try again and do not recommend

I visited this place for the first time last night and I love it! I entered through the back alley which leads to the backdoor. You step down into the restaurant like you re in a secret hidden underground gem it s candle lit and has all the perfect vibes. We had the tomato basil soup, minestrone soup, Margherita pizza & the Chicken Alfredo. Everything was authentic and delicious. I can t wait to go back.

The parking is a so complicated. The rest dont have parking lot. The food is the worse Italian food that I taste in my life. The attention is nice. The place is pretty good. But I never back. PD: the cesar salad have a tomato slices!!!! Thats a shame, this place have history.

Oh My Gosh!!! I first visited Luigi s when I was a mere teenager in 1969!!! I revisit Luigi s when I come back to West Texas for my Permian High School reunions!!! I graduated from Permian in 1970... Coming to Luigi s through the years is ALWAYS important to me because I am able to return to my West Texas Roots!!! I m so very blessed to have Luigi s in my life!!! I ALWAYS order Lasagna!!! ALWAYS!!! The candles in the Chianti bottles are my most favorite!!! These candle-lit tables ALWAYS take me back in time!!!

This place is amazing so dasmm good like a old authentic Italian food I have the fettuccine Alfredo omg omg omg I can tell you guys how good that was I still dream about that plate everything was so good that is a definitely a come back !! We ordered food to go to be ready at 6:15. It was obviously ready way before that because it was cold when I got it. The pizza was soggy. They also gave my daughter Texas toast. I would think that Luigi s would make their own garlic bread. I ve never been a huge fan of Luigi s but this kind of solidified that.

Very good Italian food. We had an issue with their credit card machines went down so we had to go to ATM at Frost but the food and atmosphere was amazing.

Small hidden away Italian eatery would be extremely easy to miss unless you knew where exactly to look. Parking is beyond terrible. Before picking out a parking spot have a plan ready. Food wasnt bad. Prices were good. Portion sizes were so so. Service was very good. Service was friendly and helpful as well. If Im ever in the area Id certainly go back.

Just ok. Vegetarian pizza was an over load of grean and black olives. There were some many, thats all I could taste. Pizza is the size of an oval plate....yes,, its not round.. Spaghetti very basic. Nothing special. Servers were good. Ceiling tile at the entrance looks horrible.

Went in thinking this place would be good .... i was surprised.... i ordered lasagna and it was smothered in tomatoe paste.... looked like a soup... the bread sticks had more flavor then the entrée... asked if they had anything cooked with white or red wines.... that confused the waitress.... there is a place called rays it is 100x better.... this place was a joke... spent $40. Left with a bad taste of tomato paste and flat coke....
