Italian Bistro for lunch or dinner.
Can’t recommend this place enough! A true family owned and operated restaurant. We had multiple different waitresses throughout the night. Everyone chipping in to help one another. Awesome service and amazing food!
Ask for the White Pizza 🍕 4 cheese 🧀 ufff 😎 Ray is the owner and he is more than happy to help also Liliana and her daughter 🇻🇪🇻🇪 All of them provide great service and food! Love the ambience and easy parking! Lots of people but fast service for a December Saturday!!! Clean restrooms! You get to see part of the kitchen that means they provide quality control and clean food! Anyways this is my 4 fourth time in 5 years hopefully next year I get to get back! Stay safe and thanks!
This is our favorite authentic Italian restaurant in the basin. The owner is super attentive and kind. The food is high quality and superior to any other Italian food places. It's perfect for date nights or a family night. I highly recommend the cannoli. Give it a try! You won't regret it.
This is by far the best Italian restaurant in the area. When we had an Italian exchange student staying with us, we brought her here. She said this was pretty legit! The food is great and the service is just as good. They do get busy, so the servers may not get around to you immediately, but they don't forget about you. They are always friendly and helpful also. We opted for a pizza this evening. In our opinion, these are some of the best pizzas around! We really haven't had a bad meal here. Are you having a hard time figuring out what to eat? Don't worry too much, it all tastes great. This is a BYOB restaurant. They have a $10 cork fee also. The parking lot is not real large. When Ray's is busy, you may have difficulty finding parking.
I’ve always enjoyed the food at Ray’s Italian Bistro—the quality is consistently great, and the flavors are fantastic. However, I recently had an experience that left me disappointed with their customer service. I placed an order via Uber Eats and specifically requested utensils with my meal. When my order arrived, there were no utensils included. While this might seem like a small issue, it was frustrating, especially after making the request. I contacted the restaurant to let them know, expecting a quick fix or apology. Instead, they responded by suggesting that perhaps I shouldn’t order from them anymore if I had an issue with the missing utensils. I was taken aback by their reaction. While I love the food, I was surprised at how dismissive the staff were over such a simple complaint. It’s unfortunate that something like this could turn what was once a great experience into one where I no longer feel welcome. Ray’s has great food, but the way they handle customer concerns could use improvement. I hope they reconsider how they approach these situations in the future Most of us in this area don’t have utensils. When you spend over $50 on a meal and have to eat it with your hands because of this, it’s not cool.
We came here due the excellent Google Reviews and we were not disappointed…the fried calamari was very good, fresh and tender but not crunchy I ordered as a main entree the spinach stuffed ravioli and my wife ordered the chicken Marsala… both dishes were delicious and the presentation was great. Fast service and good atmosphere.Kind servers The only con: the do not sell alcohol….!
Delicious! This place is very nice. Our waitress, Maxine, was awesome! The bread is absolutely delicious.
We are passing through Midland on vacation and we’re looking for something Italian. The garlic rolls were delicious and the dipping sauce offered the perfect amount of zing from the balsamic. We ordered the Special pizza with all the toppings. Crust was thin and lightly crisp, perfect to our liking. Plenty of toppings and cheese. Our daughter got the spaghetti with marinara. The sauce was the best consistency and clung to the noodles perfectly and wasn’t too sweet. Would be a regular if we were from the area.
Ordered to go today and included Alfredo Chicken in my order but I think that they may forgotten the chicken part (and the pasta too)
The food was AMAZING!!! You definitely have to try the bread, but try not to fill up on it .its that good! Food
My 15-year old son went in to pick up a to go order and they were less than friendly and certainly not helpful. Which means no more date nights or ladies lunches at Rays for me. Midland has lots and lots of amazing restaurants to choose from. We don need Rays.
I ordered online at around 5:30 and called around 7:50 (which is also ridiculous 2 hours for one meal) asking about the status and the lady over the phone was rude and not helpful at all she asked me what my name was and was snarky when asking.
My Favorite Pasta Place
ByoWine, love it great food, hospitality is on point. Definitely tell the owner takes pride in his restaurant. He needs to up size! Kid-friendliness: Kids love it
From coast to coast, I have had some of the best Italian joints out there. I was surprised at the quality and taste of my Fettuccine Alfredo. The only description for the meal, beautiful.
Celebrated my cousins birthday last night food, service ect was great thank you Rays for hosting us
I just moved to Midland a few months ago, Italian food is my weakness (or strength??) & luckily the first time I tried Rays Italian Bistro, I fell in love, I order it every chance I get (I am not a materially wealthy man.. yet) & but I get it enough & it certainly sustains me through tough times, God Bless!
As a pizza fanatic, I went in specifically to try the local Pizza due to the good reviews. When I asked for a half a pizza, I was informed it would take almost an hour. I was shocked since the restaurant was only half occupied. Ended up having pasta, which was good. Just wish I couldve tried the pizza.
Awesome balsamic blue cheese salad.
Very disappointed waited and hour for a meal that was mild warm. We were a smaller group of people that came in first and we were served very last. So disappointed Arties Italian in Pecos has way better service fresh food.
We were in Midland on vacation and the kids wanted some spaghetti. So we found Rays and Im so glad we did. The service was wonderful and the food was even better.
Love this place! Always have great service, never a bad meal, and the prices are great. The Chicken Jerusalem is to die for! If you want a bottle of wine make sure you pick it up on the way, they dont serve alcohol but you can bring your own for a corking fee.
Love this place great Italian food
Good foods
Bad Sv
This place is incredible, the food was delicious, the girl who served us I dont remember her name but I think she was Venezuelan and she took great care of us! Everything we ordered was delicious, I have recommended this place to my family because they were very delighted! I will go again, it has become one of my favorites
It is a very picturesque place, the service was very good, the food was excellent, there are no complaints, each food service was very good, I like that you can add salt to your taste in each dish, I invite you to go personally, enjoy the pleasant and warm attention of the staff that works there, excellent...
Bad waitress but food wasnt as good as usual either
Everything was very delicious!
Love this place
I have never left a bad review, but I will never go there again. My wife and I went there for lunch and I saw beef stroganoff on the special. I assume its on special at a lower price. When I got the bill it was $50. I asked the waitress if that was a mistake and she said no, it was $50. Really!!! Beef Stroganoff for $50? It was good, but not $50 good.
First time to visit Rays and I will absolutely make it a regular stop. The service was great, even when the restaurant was hoppin. Loved the food even more. Its also BYOB. Its a great place.
Between ordering veal marsala and receiving chicken marsala for both our meals offered barely an apology was offered a piece of dessert that does not make up for the mistake our check should have been discounted we couldnt stand listening to a child scream the entire time we waited I do not think we will be back.
Amazing place delicious food and clean area nice owner
The food was great and the atmosphere matched! Very attentive staff highly recommend to anyone looking for good Italian cuisine.
Baked Lasagna sucked Appetizer came out after the food The owner walked by the table with our drinks empty multiple times place is a joke (Olive Garden) would be a recommendation instead of this place Food : 1/5
Absolutely wonderful experience! The owner and servers were amazing and the food was superb! Will definitely revisit if in the area!
Best Italian Ive ever had...
Terrible service, they left me waiting for more than half an hour, I spoke to them and they ignored me and laughing at me when the order was ready they didnt give it to me on purpose
Love this place great food with the excellent service always spot on. Thank You!
Rays isnt a fancy high end looking dining room, buy the food is good, service is good and price is fair.
Saw the chef pick his nose and didnt wash his hands. Then I saw our waitress digging in her mouth. Wanted to give it a try but just couldnt. Barely took a sip of my drink.
Honestly, never been there before, but I made a reservation, and was pleasantly surprised. The service was fast, the waiters were attentive, the food had a natural taste it it, meaning it was overloaded in flavor like how we Americans usually consume our food. Its more pricy than, say Olive Garden, but only by about $2 a plate. Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian selections, but I eat meat, so I wasnt really paying attention to those dishes.
I have been in this restaurant many many times, just be careful on margherita pizza they just looks like they put a ton of garlic in the pizza so basically I was eating garlic pizza than anything else.
Not one to make a post to complain, food is always great here. However, the common trend we see these days within food service. Long wait times, or short staffed which leads to long delays in food service. The server was pleasant and doing her best, while waiting on the kitchen. And it was noticeably warmer than usual. Perhaps Texas is just too much to for AC units this time of year. Parking: Parking is tough around the busiest of hours especially when sharing the lot with other businesses.
One of the best places to eat in Midland
Excellent place, very good atmosphere, very good food but the best and most special thing is the service they offer
The restaurant was empty, the music that I couldn t understand was to the liking of the employees. The server was rude. Left disappointed. Won t be returning.
This hole-in-the-wall is has a great atmosphere and authentic Italian food with very generous portions. Go hungry. Leave satisfied.
My husband & I s favorite restaurant! Always great service & the food is always delicious!!
Great food. The bread is fantastic. Service is impeccable.
Very nice restaurant, great staff, service is always wonderful and the food is delicious! The spaghetti and meatballs and chicken alfredo are my go to!! Kid-friendliness: Can be crowded at times, kids menu options and slings and high chairs available.
Good food and great service. There s the bread and oil to start. I ordered the Fettuccini with salmon and I liked it. The place is fairly small but even though we had a large group the owner accommodated us and was very attentive. Recommend to trying out the pizza it looks delicious too. Parking: There s other business s near by and parking can be a bit crowded
We have eaten here before and have purchased the bread & oil to go, thoughly enjoyed everything!!! On Friday I purchased a dozen of the rolls & oil to go!!! I received the rolls in a pizza box and didnt bother to look at them. When we got home, the tops of half of the rolls were burnt & the bottoms not cooked through AND no oil!!!! Even though my purchased was only $5, we are very disappointed, as we were having them for a family dinner in Lamesa.
We were here for first time. Had a large group going away party. Everyone was very happy with their meal. We probably at 10 plates of rolls. Definitely will go back. Been here 6 years and never stopped, but will when its time for Italian cuisine.
I have been here several times. As always the food and service are spot on.
When I recently dined with friends, we were in the back part of the building. The music was too loud for us to have a conversation. I asked that the music be adjusted. My request was refused.
Food was so good. Sooo good. Went in after work super dirty, seated right away. My glass never was empty and they had bread in front of me immediately. Will definitely be going back. Probably tomorrow Parking: I have a dodge 3500 full size, a little difficult but doable
Rays is our go to place to eat. We love everything about Rays. Great food, great service and wonderful atmosphere. Love Rays
Visited on a Sunday evening. Service was fast and quality of the food was good. The guy I attended with wanted several things but they were out of. It was the time and day.
Lets start out pricing is ridiculous. 100 dollars for 2 burnt scallops, 3 basically raw asparagus, and overcooked steak. Seafood platter was undesirable, Im from the south and that was the worst seafood Ive personally ever had. Manicotti tasted frozen not fresh and wrong noodles, also arrived cold. Fried calamari and cheesesticks where flavorless. Tortellini was okay. Bread was the best part for me.
the special price for the steak was crazy the food tasted fake/frozen and the drinks were flat.
Lets start off with the special, 95.00 for an HEB steak that was supposed to be medium rare and came out medium at best. Served with two burnt scallops and 3 hard asparagus. Very disappointing. Now the seafood platter was disheartening as well, it tasted like the sea and not in a good way. The manicotti tasted like it was straight from the freezer. The cokes were flat. The fried calamari was bland. The best part of the meal was the bread. My family and I sure expected more for the price ($211.00). Just a disappointment completely. I gave it 1 star because I couldnt give an lower.
My wife and I love the food from this place but the last 3 times ordering takeout the food has never been ready on time or correct. When they say 30-45 minutes, give them an hour and you ll still probably have to wait. Also, check your food before you leave especially if you order protein on your pasta. They have forgotten the protein both times and we have made an extra trip back. Tonight we called when we found the protein was missing, gave them 30 minutes before we got back to pick up 2 grilled chicken breasts, and they still weren t ready so I had to wait another 10 minutes. Probably won t be ordering takeout from them again or at least for sure won t without checking every entree to make sure it s right before I leave.
Food was very well cooked and pizza was great!! Service was on point ! Always had one or another server re fill my tea!! I would highly recommend this restaurant!! Good luck!!
Very good food, very good prices. The service was great. Most definitely coming back to this restaurant
Best pizzas in Midland!
We really enjoyed our experience, food was amazing and top notch service. We will be back.
Great, great, spaghetti, and meatballs! Food took a little time coming put, but was hot, and very delicious! Terimisu was to go! Im sure itll be great too!
First time eating here with my husband and the food was excellent homemade Italian food. Bread hot and delicious . The service was on point . We ordered fettuccine Primavera, spaghetti and meatballs, and stuffed avocado. We ordered Taramisu to go because we were too stuffed to eat anymore. Portions are great
Me and my wife love it here. Food is great but one small problem with one of the waitresses. We get the same waitress almost everytime we go and we just receive terrible service from her. Shes rude and shes slow to get our drinks everytime. We love Rays. We love the food. The owner is incredible. But this particular waitress makes us not want to go. Ill get her name and update this review when I do.
Wonderful!!!!!everything was amazing great service and price
We had 17 people tonight and everything was perfect! Food, service, and atmosphere was all top notch! The owner is such a nice guy and has great waitstaff!
As soon as we walked in we were greeted and sat at a table. The service was amazing!!! When we received our food, OMG! It was outstanding. Will definitely be coming back for more.
Went out a friend last night for a late pasta dinner. The food was amazing!!! Service was outstanding and the prices are very affordable. Thank you for the food and service.
Lovely place, best service in Town, I recently tried the Veggie Pizza, it was amazing!
Why to expensive 55 dollars for a bowl of Beef Stroganoff Thats ridiculous Me and my girlfriend went out to eat dinner. Cost us 90.00 dollars I really doubt well be back the waitress said one of there specials was Beef Stroganoff but for got mention it was 55 dollars a bowl Recommended dishes
Great selection of delicious Italian favorites. Everything was wonderful.
The food is good but if you have a service dog DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. I brought my service dog and the owner watched me all night. My dog never barked or looked at anyone.
The food is very very good and the pizzas have no comparison.
Best Italian in Midland for sure! Ask for Terrance to serve you, hes the best! I get the Chicken Jerusalem which is amazing! Ive tried several dishes from Rays, all were great!
For is always good and consistent. Ray is such a pleasant host! We always enjoy dining here!!!! Honestly should come more often!!! Food : 5/5 |
Stopped in for a quick bite on the way through town. Will definitely return to town for another quick bite in the future. Love their spaghetti pasta and chicken Parm. Wife had their eggplant Parm and was equally impressed.
Excellent Italian food in an unassuming strip mall. Extensive menu of pasta dishes. Pizzas are huge and my favorite in Midland. BYOB. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but its never been outlandish. Service is generally very good and attentive, much better than most other restaurants in Midland. My favorite dish is tortellini alla Rosa with shrimp added.
Good pizza. No alcohol. BYOB.
Veryyyy delicious really good customer service just a very good experience to eat with the family or a date just very happy to eat here
Food was amazing I ordered the chicken parmigiana and cream cake the atmosphere was nice dim lights and nice music I recommend this place and price was reasonable I give the food 10/10 and service
Its was overall ok. Nothing special.
Absolutely no complaints. Service was prompt and courteous. Food was excellent. Atmosphere was very pleasant.
An excellent Restaurant to share with family and friends! Excellent service, we were assisted by Dilan! And their attention was so, so excellent that I still want to go again! The attention of the manager and even the Owner himself at the exit said goodbye to us and we were grateful for the attention. I would repeat again and again! An excellent restaurant to share with family and friends! An excellent service we were assisted by Dilan! And his attention was so, so excellent that I want to go again! The attention of the manager and even the Owner himself at the exit said goodbye to us and we appreciated the attention. I would repeat over and over again! Kid-friendliness: Excellent !
Absolutely amazing service and food! Our server was phenomenal as well as the staff here and the food was authentic and delicious. The restaurant has a very calming ambiance and great oldie music. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Very very happy we found this little place. The pizza tasted so good and the manicotti was great!
Fantastic!
I love the spaghetti here every time I come! The staff is nice too.
My first time visiting this place and Wow, the super delicious food, the pasta not to mention, the presentation of the dish and the excellent service, I will return
Food is amazing! Friendly staff as well! Well definitely be going back!!
So this was an unexpected gem, I just wanted some decent pasta what I got was amazing service, great spaghetti marinara with Italian sausage at prices I haven t seen in 10 years, I m not local but if I was I d eat here every night as it is if I m driving within 50 miles of rays I ll take a detour it s worth it.
This is my favorite place to eat for Italian food. The staff is always so awesome and kind.
Awesome food and service!
Good thing crust pizza.
Food is always delicious and fresh I love spaghetti and the bread is always so fresh.
I can be quite pickey about my food, but I havent had a bad thing at rays. Between me and my wife we have tried at least half the menu. I even inquired about a traditional Italian meal not on their menu and the owner told me to ask next time I come and they will make it for me. This place is one of the top restaurants in the midland odessa area and welll worth a visit. Their pricing is very reasonable. Me and the wife typically spend about 50 dollars after tip. That doesnt include alcahol. We dont really drink so Im not sure, but I do know rays has a corkage fee for BYOB. Parking: They are in a small strip mall, but the building next door is closed in the evenings. Kid-friendliness: People have small.children here regularly. They are very acomodating. Wheelchair accessibility: The seating may be a little tight to get in and out of the resturant, but they can easily acomodate. There is handicap parking and a ramp to get to store level.
Horrible food and it wasn t enough food for the price.. won t be back and would not recommend
Well my first day of work was good. I brought the energy like I usually do!! Never signed my 10-40w form. Kind of upset I didnt get to keep any of my tips. O well on to the next opportunity!! Kid-friendliness: Manager treated kids with kindness. Wheelchair accessibility: Nice ramps.
Everyone made my birthday lunch great.
This place is an oasis out here in Midland, Texas. Ill keep this review short and sweet. The food is delicious. The portion sizes are generous, which is important because it feels like restaurant prices keep going up and you get less. Not at Rays, the portions are solid! The service was great! I had so many people bringing things to the table, I almost forgot who my waitress was. Never had an empty glass. The atmosphere was great, too. The owner was hanging out at a booth, doing owner things. It felt like a scene from a movie lol cozy, comfortable and truly enjoyable. Dine in, you wont regret it.
Food was cold in the middle Parking: Will be a long time before I go back, and the garlic bread, was on a hot dog bun. Food : 2/5 |
Excellent taste and service a nice man meets you at the door and greets you while holding the door the only thing I have to say is that the portions are bigger than expected the calzone could be two to 3 meals Parking: The parking seems smaller than it is due to there not being enough signs telling you that there is another section of parking behind a building
Was good. Byob
Just tried once and carry out - fruits of the sea pasta is fantastic! Perhaps best scallops I ve ever had - seafood lovers rejoice !
We called before to reserve a large group and someone had told us we could split the check. We got to the restaurant, ordered, one of the menu items is a steak that costs $80 (the price is not on the menu), and got the check. The check was over $300, and we started to split the check between us. Our waiter then told us we could not split the check. He said he would talk to someone and come back. Minutes passed and no one came by. We asked again to split the check and he said Like I said, we cannot split the check and told us there is new staff here and one may have told us we could have split the check. I understand, but to me, it sounds like miscommunication between the staff. I appreciate the effort to make up for the situation, but the only reason we came to this restaurant was because we were told we could split the check. At this point, it s more about the customers than your regulations, because we were told wrong and somehow managed to pay our way through. Our waiter was extremely patient and kind, but I had higher expectations.
Came here for Mother s Day. I suggested this place based on my previous experience. Today, the Food took a long time to come out and when it arrived it was cold. The portion was much smaller than previous visit. Servers were not attentive. Our glasses remained empty for extended periods of time. Horrible experience.
No other restaurant comes close to Rays for Italian fare, would highly recommend.
Love their pizzas!
Stromboli is the best we ve had around here!
It was an excellent Italian experience. The servers were kind & polite and full of decorum. The food was spectacularly presented with exquisite flavor. Im from fort worth and looking forward for 2nds
We ordered the meat lovers pizza and it was ok could have stayed in the ovan a little longer. Lots of pasta options! BYOB. Fantastic service. Food
Wonderful experience. Our server, Ty, was great and everyone else working was very welcoming and attentive. Every bit of food was absolutely delicious and had big portions for the price! It s been a long time since we ve had a nice dining experience in Midland and are very excited to have a new dinner staple!
The food is actually all really good. Get there early or try and get a reservation. This place fills up fast.
Food was awesome and portions are large.
My first experience at Rays was unfortunate I dont know if they have consistent problems or that was simply an off night. I will go back and I will update then.
Wow. Best Italian in Midland by far. We had Lobster Ravioli and (my child devoured it). The chicken Jerusalem was amazing. The Chicken Sunrise was swallowed almost whole by my teenager, and the chicken Alfredo was great with enough chicken so you arent left with too many noodles. All of the meats were cooked perfectly and were not dried out. Kid-friendliness: Staff was polite to children.
Rays is the best Italian restaurant in Midland. We take the family there often. Staff is friendly and attentive and the food is top notch.
1st time and it was delicious! Chef quality, great portions, fair price. Parking: ALittle tight but its because the food is excellent
My family came in on a Thursday around 4:45pm. There were 3 other tables seated, pretty empty. We stood at the hostess stand waiting to be seated for several minutes, had a couple waitresses look at us but no one offered to seat us. My husband finally went and asked if we may seat ourselves and was told yes. We sat at a table in the back near a side door. We had our two young boys with us, one of which was asleep the entire time. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly. Shortly after she took our drink and appetizer order an older gentleman (Im assuming is the owner) approached our table. He was not friendly. He asked my husband if his name was Robert, my husband replied no and told him his name. He told us the table we were sitting at was reserved for Robert. My husband explained why we sat ourselves and asked if we needed to move, the gentleman replied no and just walked away. There was nothing on the table indicating it had been reserved. This made my husband and I both feel uncomfortable. The food came out fast and was probably some of the best Ive had in this area. When we were getting up and walking towards the main entrance to leave the same gentleman approached us and told us we needed to exit through the side door. He came and unlocked it for us, said thank you and locked back up behind us. I have never in my life been made to feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable in a restaurant like that. We should have left after being passed over when we were waiting to be seated. I do not understand the reasoning for asking us to leave through the side door when everyone else that left went through the main entrance. It felt like he did not want us to be seen in his restaurant. Why? I have no clue??? We have heard such good things about this place and we were excited to try it. It was our 1st experience and although the food was delicious we will not be returning.
Very good chicken Marsala and baked ravioli
Ty and the owner Ray are the BEST! They both made my family feel like a part of theirs. Service is great & food is so good. Hands down the best Italian in town. Definitely get your moneys worth considering the plate portions are more than enough for very low prices. Wish I could give 100 stars! Highly recommend anyone to visit Rays. You will not be disappointed
My wife and I eat here when we are in town from Houston We enjoy the food and atmosphere. Especially like being able to bring our own wine. But now Ray s is charging a $10 corkage fee. I ask what it is for and was told for labor they use a lot of glasses. I really don t get it, they don t pay for a liquor license but want to charge me $10 to pull a cork and clean 2 glasses
My husband and I are new in town, we are glad that we chose Rays as our first restaurant because it left a great impression on us. The service was phenomenal and the food even better, they have a great red sauce. I got a Manicotti, my husband got chicken Jerusalem and their salads were very good. This time, we got pizza to go and again we appreciate the good quality. We are now new regular customers.
Wonderful food, but the dessert was not very good. They are now charging a corkage fee for wine. We dont have a problem with them charging the fee but if you are going charge the fee a few things need to happen: 1. Teach your servers how to open wine without breaking the cork. 2. Teach them how to serve it. 3. You need to drop by and pour more wine when needed. Otherwise, you are just looking to make more money off not doing anything.
I love Ray s!
The freshly made bread was divine. Also enjoyed the vodka sauce penne and eggplant parmesan. It was a rare place where my entire family of 5 unanimously enjoyed their experience.
Try the linguini with shrimp kn white sauce, thank me later.
My husband and I took his sister to eat at Rays on a whim. We all craved Italian and hadnt tried any in Midland. It was amazing! The fresh bread they serve while you wait was the best! I had the fettuccine primavera which was delicious, and so much that I had to bring some home. My husband ordered the meat lover pizza. He greatly enjoyed it and had some for leftover dinner. His sister got the spinach ravioli. The sauce it came in was divine! So rich and cheesy. Too rich for her, sadly. Then we also shared an order of mozzarella sticks. I loved how the breading was thicker and it was hot to the last bite! The cheese was thick and melted. Just as it should be. Cant wait to enjoy such a meal again. I plan to try something different every time. Vegetarian options: There are plenty of options for vegetarians. Maybe even more than those with meat options.
Pizzas are great
Absolutely Devine food, had their grilled chicken with Alfredo pasta it was perfect, service was great bread was fresh. %100 recommend Rays!!! This was our first time there, will be back as a regular!!!
Such a nice resturant with amazing service and delicious Italian food. Try out the lobster ravioli!
Excellent service and very delicious pizza! The bread is too rich
Mediocre Italian food in Midland, not good at all. The service was OK, however, the waitress broght our drinks late, and did the same with our final check. Avoid to ask for Shrimp Scampi ($15 just 4 shrimps and poor taste). PS. Had stomach ache next day.
We ordered Togo food and they forgot a portion (calzone) and when we called and told them they said oh ok we ll give you a free dessert if you drive all the way back here Once we got there the guy handed me the one bag and nothing else. I assumed the dessert was included but it was not. When my father in law called and asked about the desert, they said oh you never said what kind of dessert so we just decided to not give you anything What an absolute failure. Drove to the restaurant twice for one meal for their mistake and 0 attempt at making the situation any better. Calzone was mid anyways.
I ll start off by saying the food is absolutely delicious. The reason for the 3 starts is the service. Our waitress was Eleni, everything was great in the beginning until our food was brought out. She didn t come check on us at all. We needed refills and more parm as the shaker that was on the table was almost empty when we got there. She was very attentive to her other tables just not ours. Maybe we weren t light skinned enough like her other tables who knows. Point is I had to ask the hostess for our check since we had been done for a while. Btw way the sodas were flat and hot.
Kid-friendliness: My Daughter wanted pink Lemonade. They normally make regular lemonade. But for my daughter they made her pink lemonade. Food
Great place for food.
Great delicious Italian Food. Great, friendly service.
5 star all the way! Fast setting, never made us wait for anything! We started with the escargot and bruschetta then had the lobster ravioli and veal marsala we had dessert and espresso. A perfect dinner all the way around!!! We will be back
Over 1 hour from the time we sat down and ordered until the meal arrived. The ice was melted in my empty drink for 20 minutes before a server came back by. The food was ok at best. Very disappointing experience. At least I can check this place off the list of restaurants worth visiting in Midland. Pretty par for the course in Midland for dining out though. Our waitress was terrible, my food was too salty and my spouses pasta was undercooked not al dente as one would expect but undercooked after 1 hour waiting it was still somehow undercooked.
I strongly recommend this restaurant. Excellent cuisine, the restaurant is so friendly with excellent service. A little Italy in the middle of Texas. We stay close enough to go back anytime. Do not miss it if you are around.
We held my sons wedding rehearsal dinner here. Everyone worked great with our group, and we got excellent service and great food at a reasonable price. I was happy to add an extra tip to the minimum tip already on the bill.
First the positives - 1. Service was great! The staff was very polite and had a pleasant aura. 2. Ambience was great. Nice atmosphere and interior. Felt great sitting inside. 3. Fresh bread tasted really good. Nice and warm. What I didn t like - 1. I ordered a Neapolitan Pizza (Cheese only) - It was a regular cheese pizza, nowhere close to what a real Neapolitan Pizza would be. Cheese was very rubbery and hard to chew and swallow. I was very much looking forward to a nice pizza but had an unpleasant experience with it.
Was in town for work and stopped by. The food was delicious and service was great! Bread was soooo yummy! Only negative is they don t have wine in house. It s is byob but I wish I knew sooner.
The staff was very friendly and the food was very good. I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and quick service.
We loved Rays for Italian food.
We Absolutely Love this place! We have officially designated this restaurant as our favorite Date Night Dinner Dine in! Great service, Amazing food! Wish the restaurant were alittle more roomy. Yet ..Love it all the same!
Theyre always good and always busy !
I had the calamari and Caesar salad. The best part was the waiter though. He was very polite and attentive. Wish I had gotten his name.
Super recommended, the food, the service, the atmosphere, everything is spectacular. 100/100
The waiting time was incredible. We ordered an appetizer and apparently the waiter forgot to order it. Bad service. I dont recommend it at all.
Arrived about 15 minutes before a bigger party that got served before us. After an hour and 15 of waiting I decided to go home. Trying to patronize me making small talk is not the way to treat a customer. Waiter seems experienced by not taking notes for the order, but still he forgot what the appetizer was. Not coming back to Ray s!!
Sooooooo much better than Luigi s.
Nice small, very good food place, I will come back soon.
Excellent food, the service was fantastic, reasonably priced, and it has such a wonderful environment. 11/10, highly recommend it!
We constantly have issues with this place but we continue to go back because the food that is correct, is great. 1. Manager was too busy to take my call. 2. Lady argued with me on the phone that the kitchen doesn t see any special requests on the tickets that come over from the app. 3. I asked her to confirm the food was correct before I left and she said she did. 4. We would ve gone back to them had the lady in the phone not argued with us. Ray s you lost a very loyal customer tonight and it s a shame because we will miss your food but I will not deal with service like this.
Really fast service, decent food, relaxed atmosphere. Kudos to Ty for his good service
Quality Italian fare and might I add, the best calzone in town...
I cant rate the service or atmosphere because we ours delivered , but i can rate the food! It was wonderful! We ordered the scampi and lobster ravioli! Best Ive ever had!
This was my first time here and I loved the food and service. The only thing I didnt like was how loud it was inside with so many people and it seemed only the very drunk people off of red wine were yelling as if they were in a bar.
Was hungry. It was late almost closing time . They still let me in and made me some lasagna. The bread and olive oil dip is excellent
Got seated at a table and waited for what seemed like an eternity for the waiter to take our order, only to tell us they were out of pizza. Only reason we went.
Weve eaten at rays many times. Its one of the best restaurants in the midland odessa area, I dont think anything weve had was less than very good.
This is a great place the food was delicious and the service was fantastic!
Was a good experience! Food was great.
Best Italian food in West Texas.
