Its been a few years since we had been here. But we love this place.

Food is always amazing and service is phenomenal.

Top notch food and service.

If you want to sit down and be ignored, please stop by this place. it s loud, overpriced and we stopped by because of all the great reviews. We are from Houston, this place wouldn t last a week there. My husband said, If THIS is the best food in Midland, then Midland has NO food! Parking: Drove for about 45min looking

LOVE this place!! The roasted jalapeños and queso are one of our favorite things to eat not only at Cancun but in Midland! Reasonably priced and good drinks too!

Love this place! ALWAYS-ALWAYS-ALWAYS GREAT SERVICE Saturday night!! Gabriel, Aaron and Eric gave us the best service. Had plenty of those amazing Mexican martinis at the ready too! We will see you guys NEXT TIME! Vegetarian options: You can get the wait staff to modify meals for vegetarian and vegan. Dont leave without trying the soy Jalapeños! Not the healthiest choice, but a tasty one! Dietary restrictions: There are plenty of options regardless of your dietary needs. Just ask your wait person!

I was told this was a Midland staple, and I completely understand why. Our party had about 15 people. Our entire order was correct, everybody loved their food, and the servers were extremely attentive when it came to refills, drink orders, etc. I will definitely be adding it to my list of places to take out-of-town guests.

This place used to be pretty dang good. Had some people tell me recently that its gone downhill, but wanted to give it another shot. The Margaritas were okay at best, we each had 1, and split one of their taco plates. 2 drinks, and 1 taco plate was $80, which seemed absurd to me, because the tacos were a 3 out of 10. I understand inflation and that its hard to get good help these days, but for that much money, the food shoulda been on point. Probably not gonna go back.

Call me crazy but one of the best steak & enchiladas I ve eaten. Super great service and the margaritas were spot on.

We absolutely love this restaurant! Everytime we get a date night we go here! And last time we went we bought the kids. Best service in Midland hands down! You have to have the corn queso and a skinny margarita! So good!

Green salad was super old

Our food took over an hour to get, when it got there it was cold. We had to rush to eat because we were on our lunch hour.

Food is good, not great. Super overpriced. Most entrees are $20-$35, and a house margarita is $21, yikes. Good service but the prices need to be cut down but at least 20%.

Service was outstanding! I highly recommend the steak enchiladas, grilled pork chop (special), and the frozen Sangria margarita! Walking distance from Double Tree downtown Midland!

Im from San Antonio where we have great food and service. I can say with confidence that the service here is absolutely amazing. But the food,oh my goodness, the food is incredible. So I had the pork chop and it is cooked perfectly and quite flavorful! Highly recommend! Food

Make sure you get the soy sauce roasted jalapenos and corn queso! Add the soy sauce jalapeño and corn queson to your tortilla chip, its soooooooooo good!!

Food was fantastic! Definitely on the pricier side. I cannot remember the name of the dish, but it was basically grouper fajitas, on point! Serving size was on point too! I am not a huge fan of the over-sized plates many other places have. The food was great and the service was great too!

Ive been to Cancun many times and the food is consistently delicious, the staff are always professional and quick, and everything just works there, which is kind of hard to find in Midland. Had the filet for the first time and it is hands down the best steak Ive had in Midland, possibly ever! Mind blown! Get there and get it in your mouth.

The seafood enchiladas were absolutely delicious!

The service was great even though it was prime lunchtime. I had the vegetarian nachos and they were the some of the best nachos Ive ever had. The queso was bland but the salsa was delicious.

Had high hopes but was seriously disappointed. This place costs WAY too much money for what you get and the drinks were a total rip off. The only saving grace were the chips and the friendly server.

Possibly the best place in town. The steaks are amazing.

Food was good but one of our plates had a hair melted into the beans. At first they didn t quite believe that it came from their kitchen and not our heads took the plate back, and brought it back a few minutes later. They pretty much just removed the hair from the beans and gave the same plate back. They charged us full price for everything too. It was our first time there.

The owners are super nice! Food is good, beer is cold!

I really love this restaurant. It s the best restaurant in downtown Midland. If you want some Fajitas you can ask, they are not on the menu. Also, the grilled jalapeños are a must try!

Service was fast but the waitress didn t know about anything on the menu. The food was knock off Authentic Mexican and the queso tasted like alfredo sauce. Maybe I missed something but for the price there are tons of hole in the wall places around the area that are much better.

This restaurant has the best service that Ive experienced in a long time. They treated our entire family so well--from the youngest child to the adults. Thanks for delicious food and treating us with gold star service.

Cancun Grill is the best of the best. Their authentic approach to Mexican food is truly one of a kind. In addition, their high level of service is unmatched. They truly care about their customers and the experience they have. From the appetizers and drinks, to entrees and desserts, Cancun is the best in town.

The chili reanos in this place is awesome. The service was beyond outstanding. The owner came over and stop by and talked at our table and he was gracious and welcoming. I could not have asked for a better dining experience. This place should be on everybodys dining list to take special occasions or just to go for a wonderful time or to bring out of towners because it shows the best of midland.

Went to the Cancun Grill September 3 Saturday and the doors are locked so I called and the voicemail is full and you cannot even leave a message. Plum pitiful. It says they re open, but they re not. Unfortunately I am not able to leave a zero rating.

Food is good but drinks are wayyyy overpriced. $22 for an average large margarita.

Our Church had a special dinner meeting here. The food was excellent and the service was great. The room was excellent for our program with TV screen to show the Churchs power point and sound system.

If your trying to spend 1000$ on chips and queso and a water, look no further. It s expensive but good. We only came here for drinks and they were good. The queso was good, it was just a ton of tomatos. Get a Mexican Martin, 10/10.

Voted number 1 Mexican restaurant in Midland. I dont know how?? The queso needed lots of salt. I had sirloin tacos which were okay, but nothing to brag about. We had one margarita a piece and our dishes. Everything came out to $105. Which I dont mind spending money on good food, this place was not worth what we spent. I have family come in from Forth Worth and California. This place is not a place I would take them for good Mexican food. I dont recommend them. Sorry but its my opinion. Ive had better Mexican food at a gas station.

The food was a bit odd but tasty. The service was attentive. The chips and salsa were good but the queso was too sweet for my taste. The oddest thing, they have rules posted everywhere. On the doors, on the menu, on the tables, like someone went overboard with the laminator (including one that said they were not responsible for duplicate checks . (If you charge me twice, I think you are.

Price was way too high for bad quality of food and drinks. We went as a party of 12 and couldn t even split the bill so we had to all sit there and do the math separately for everyone. I m definitely never going there ever again!!

The only reason why I am giving them 3 stars is because the price of 1 house margarita was $21.95...RIDICULOUS!! Come on!! A shot of 1800 Reposado was $11.25, which would have been okay other than I believed IT WAS NOT 1800 Reposado. That is one of my favorite tequilas and the color and taste were way off, in a bad way. But if you are only there for dinner, then by all means, come and enjoy. The food was pricey but GREAT!

What in the actual F***. This place is completely overpriced and overrated. The food is at best OK. The environment is Meh the service is lacking and confusing. I know that seems odd but we had 4 different servers come to our table and none of them were there to take our order. We had a party of 8 which included 5 adults and 3 kids. Kids ordered cheese quesadillas and fries. Adults ordered regular meals. Small portions and bill was close to $400. We had a few mixed drinks alcohol is used very sparingly as if to stretch each bottle for the remainder of the year yet each drink was still $16. Inflation I guess. Still not as great as people make it seem. I guess when there isn t many places to choose from you just learn to accept restaurants that are mediocre.

Super delicious food

Great service and the food is good. Very expensive though. One thing that bothers me is that when you pay your bill with cash, they keep the change and just return bills. Yesterday, I was owed $3.80 after paying with a $20. I only received three $1 bills back, no change. This is a dishonest thing to do and it happens every time I eat here and use cash.

Talk about a place that has great service and food. If you are thinking of where to go eat on a special night or any night, you have to try this place. The owner and staff were very attentive to all their customers. The owner even introduced himself to us and asked us what we thought of his authentic dishes. Let me just say that I loved the food so much that I went back the following day and took my cousin. I recommend trying: Soy Jalapenos, Roasted Corn Chile con Queso, Cancun Grill Enchiladas, and my favorite the Flan! Dont forget to try their martinis!

Amazing customer service. Food was hot, fresh, and fast. Our drinks were never empty, plates were picked up as soon as we were done. Atmosphere was great. Highly recommend checking them out.

LOVE me some Cancun. We go here with our family almost every Friday night when were in town to get our fix. The fried jalapenos are AH-mazing mixed with the corn queso (I get mine extra fried because Im a wimp). The atmosphere is so fun, the people are so great. Its definitely a family favorite and a very yummy, fun experience. MUST TRY!

We just moved to midland and we been to a couple places to eat but this place is hands down the best restaurant we have been to the service was amazing and staff was so friendly I wish I would ve gotten the name of the guy who attended us he was so informative about the menu we literally felt like we were on vacation the food is so good I got the fried fish special of the day I highly recommend this place we will definitely be back

The owner is on premise and making sure that every thing runs smoothly. They worked with us to seat my family with disabilities. Although extremely busy the wait was only 20 minutes. The food is great!

Id give it six stars if I could. The food is above average with accommodations for restricted diets. Smiles all around at our table! The venue is beautiful and clean. But their biggest strength is the service - the staffs attentiveness and team attitude will blow your mind!

Went to dinner with a large group of friends and family! We did reserve first since there were 16 of us. The service was spot on and the food was yummy! I recommend giving them a try if your in downtown Midland.

The food is pretty decent, they dont have a lot of items that appeal to me. The service is outstanding, our drinks were always filled everything came out quickly and all of the staff were super friendly and helpful!

One of the worst restaurants in midland! For one appetizer and 4 alcoholic drinks it was $81!!! We ordered the steak nachos and they were literally chips thrown into a microwave. For $15 I would expect all the fixings with it.The alcohol was quadruple the price of any restaurant I ve ever been to. The only thing that was good was the corn queso dip. With the location of the restaurant and the atmosphere I was very disappointed with the food and will never return, especially with those prices and quality of the food!

Great margaritas!!

Two Jim beams on the rocks two Modelo and Nachos that I could have made at home in the microwave $60 tab. If you dont believe me go order the same thing. Definitely not worth it. Dont know how theyre still open.

The food was mediocre at best, and it took ages to get to the table. The rice especially did not match expectations, especially given I paid over $40 for food and 2 (bottled) beers. Friend became sick after, and everyone at our table agreed that it tasted poor and was overpriced.

3 entrees with 2 rounds of drinks equal $250 here in Midland, I m okay with that. 1+ hour of wait time to get the food at our table, and flagging down the owner to get it, I m not okay with. Food was good, drink were overvalued but okay. Is what it is.

Food is okay. Waitress was good. However, prices are ridiculous! 20 dollars for some basic tacos rice and beans .won t go back unfortunately there are other tastier options that won t rob u. I really was disappointed.

Very friendly wait staff. Delicious food. Salsa is spicy and authentically tasteful. Adult beverages are on point. Try the Mexican Martini. The atmosphere is very welcoming. A little pricey but worth it.

Great food and even better service. They get busy for lunch for a good reason. Tasty food at lightning speed. Wife and I go for lunch and make it back to work in a hour with no problem.

Food and drinks were delicious, but the server was not very friendly. Wanted to pick up our plates when were still eating, did not ask if we wanted an other drink. Brought us our ticket and we not ready to leave.

Best Mexican Martinis!!!

Was in the mood for a good michelada so I figured why not this place. Started with the bacon wrapped shrimp. Crispy bacon, slice of jalapeno, and shrimp, what more to say. Steak enchiladas, delicious! And went well with a good Michelada. But what made the night was the tres leche cake, absolutely fantastic. A must stop eatery when I travel to Midland, Tx.

The food there is a great all the Employees are so kind i gave theme a 5 star review for a reason.

There s little this Mexican bar and grill doesn t offer. After being warmly greeted at the front, we started with some Mexican Martinis and tons of fresh chips and salsa. The bacon wrapped shrimp were delightful and made you want to be wrapped in bacon. The chicken mole and the tilapia shrimp tacos were delicious as well. Great place to start or end a night, you will have a blast.

This is my favorite restaurant ever - Nemesio Joe and Javier do such a great job here with the best service in town! Cancun Bistro, Buffet, or Poblano Chicken Mexican Martini (3 is floor) Sliced Jalapeños and/or Corn Queso as appetizers! The best hands down

One of my favorite spots! The owners are always there to greet you, and the food is amazing and always fresh. I love that their menu offers a huge variety, and different items that you wont find at your typical mexican restaurants. Its very clean and the size of their facility makes it easy to get a table, well at least pre Covid. Their mexican martinis are to die for and we love their flash fried jalapenos. You wont be disappointed!

This is our FAVORITE restaurant in Midland. The owners and staff are so friendly and greet us every time we go. The service is fast and the food is delicious every time we go. The corn queso and jalapeños are to die for!!

Great place to eat. Great menu, with lots of dinner options. They are also a first come, first serve atmosphere. No reservations needed here. Come visit downtown Midland.

SO GOOD. I got the Langostina and Shrimp entree. Such a unique and tasty flavor, I wish I could take this restaurant back home to Houston where I m from. Their wait service was fantastic as well. Highly recommend!

Delicious food! I had the shrimp and tilapia tacos, and they were amazing. So fresh and full of flavor! The service was fast and the staff was very friendly. We will be going back again soon!

Excellent quality and flavor in the food

We hosted my father-in-law s 70th birthday at Cancun last night. I have never written a review on a restaurant but have to share this. I don t believe I have ever had better service at a restaurant EVER. The staff was attentive and kind from the moment we walked in the door and made us feel so welcome. They helped us carry our things in for the party and made sure we had EVERYTHING we needed at all time. They even helped us with lighting the candles, cutting and serving the cake. They also had a special table set up for us to use for gifts, etc. The food was obviously wonderful as well! If you are searching for a great restaurant with great food and top notch service for your next party, Cancun has you covered! They could not have impressed me more!

Food was great and service was amazing! Only downside was paying $20 for one plate with the same serving sizes you get at a restaurant that cost $10 a plate. Id probably go back for the service and environment but those prices are definitely too high for the amount of food you get.

Cancun consistently has excellent service and food quality, regardless of time, day of week, or crowd. The wait staff are polite, prompt, and professional. The atmosphere is superior to many of the restaurants around town. The entire staff works hard for your business and it shows. It s safe to say that Cancun is one of the best restaurants in Midland.
