We ordered a pastor burrito and once my husband started eating it had glass pieces inside the burrito. I got a refund but watch yalls burritos when buying.
WOW! This place is totally amazing! The food here is wonderful! The service is great, and the atmosphere is very comfortable. There are plenty of tables and room. This is a must come visit place to eat! 💯
Ordered a shrimp cocktail for myself and some of the shrimp still had the tail on and all of them still had poop. They couldn't take the time to devain the shrimp. It also doesn't come with any crackers or chips. My husband got what they call mole but I would say it's closer to Tinga than mole. Not sure what Mart of Mexico their "authentic" plates are from but it's not one I'm familiar with. I do not recommend this place and we are all better off cooking at home at this point.
Loved it! Attentive wait staff, excellent food and friendly atmosphere! I went with a group of people, and my drink was never empty. Not once did we have to look for our waitress, and everyone's food came out quickly ... and it was all correct! I had the combo molcajete it was delicious!
I visited this place recently on behalf of an employer (secret shopping) and the manager was very rude. No one wears name tags. I was a paying customer so there should’ve been no problem that I was in the establishment gathering information. When I asked the manager what her name was her response “why do you need my name I don’t have to give you my name” Very hostile for no reason. Me and my husband weren’t bothering any other customers & I hate to say it but it seemed a little racially motivated (I am African American) She then proceeded to call the owner (because apparently she didn’t know if I was breaking any policy by gathering photos) I LOVED The old location & ate there religiously for breakfast every morning. But now unfortunately I will NEVER go back.
Good tasting food. We decided to eat in the bar section. Big mistake. Loud patrons and loud music. Other than that, everything was awesome. Bartender was fun and made the best drinks. I will be back.
Went for lunch on Jan. 3, 2023. I had the chilaquiles with salsa verde (somewhat spicy) and an egg over easy on top and coffee. Food was decent but not great. Service was good. Coffee was standard American coffee. My bill (coffee included) was $13.50 before tip. The place is large and spacious with two large rooms and a bar in the smaller. It was acceptably clean. Most items on the menu were $14-$16. Coffee was $2.49. Note that the entrance is not directly under the Garely's sign on the building but to the right.
I believe they are in a different location because the pictures they have in Google photos that I see, the restaurant is more modern looking. The food was good and the meals had a good amount of food on the plate. The service was great they were on top of it. The atmosphere of the place was super friendly and busy. In this restaurant I definitely saw team work throughout the whole staff. Also surprisingly how packed and busy that place was it was actually clean. When my family and I arrived there was a wait but they knocked it out quick.

This place was good at first. So I got tacos and some other things to eat but when I got the tacos. The tortilla was Thener then a piece of paper and the people there but so much meat that the meat went through the tortilla and I had to it the meat of the plate

Very good Menudo the prices are normal for a Mexican restaurant in Midland the service is good. I had to wait a little over half an hour for the Menudo to be ready and even though I asked for more meat than corn and without the leg, they gave me it with everything, but since the portion is large, it didnt look too bad after having removed the leg: Today I ate chilaquiles and they hurt me

All the food and service was great except the taco. Ordered grande queso the combination with a shredded beef taco, chicken enchilada, and ground beef burrito. Everything tasted amazing until I got ti the taco. It tasted rancid for myself and my friend that had lunch here. Please figure our whats going on tmwith the flavor of your tacos. Either old oil to fry the tortilla, old meat, unclean, or not kept at the right temp??? After one bite I was like theres no way Im getting this down. I will come back, but wont be ordering the tacos again. Usually I highly recommence this Garelys
Food was good but my wife is white and I swear the servers talk Spanish to her on purpose then I had to keep asking for refills they where not very attentive
Went and ate with a buddy and split the check they ended up charging me for all of it two separate charges. Our server was horrible had to ask other employees where she was. Like someone stated in other review no one wears name tags. Check your bank account before you leave and make sure they charge you the right amount.
After we were seated we were told they were out of ice, but would be getting more soon. About 20 min later several of us still didn t have drinks. My dad asked where his sweet tea was, and the waitress replied that it would be hot if she served it to him, since it was just made and they had no ice. He replied, oh I thought you were going to get more ice soon , and the waitress rudely replied, yeah they re getting ice but I don t know when it will get here it s not like I have a GPS on them. It took another 20 min before getting cups of ice, and an hour before we got our food. The bathrooms were super dirty and the food was over priced. The music was super loud and it was impossible to have a conversation. There are far better options for Mexican food in this area than this place. You re better off going to Dos Compadres.

Best place for good Mexican food update.. its been a while but.. the one of the reasons I liked this place was they used to actually put rice and beans on the plate.. I was disappointed to find out they no longer give decent portions of the sides like rice.. so disappointed

Ive been here twice due to convenience. I was staying in a motel close by. The food is alright, I suppose Ive had worse. Ive had better service before as well. There isnt really anything outstanding about this place. I wouldnt go out of my way to come here, but if its been a long day and I just need to walk next door, then maybe Id come back.
Food was OK, not bad but not great either. Service was slow, also not really terrible, but certainly not great either. Food seems overpriced, and so does the compulsory tip that is included on your bill. $200 for 5 people. 1 app, 5 drinks, 5 mains, and 3 desserts. Much better Food and service to be had in Midland.

On Fathers Day my family and I went to eat, everything was fine, when it came time to pay it was 117 dollars and that same day in the afternoon I looked at my bank account everything was normal with the payment but when I saw it two days later I was I realized now it appeared that they charged me 132.84, I think that is not fair because then they keep the card information
I feel like I would have enjoyed my dinner with friends a lot more, if the waitress had asked my consent to bring me multiple drinks and shots from a random man who was buying them for me. I was very uncomfortable.

I like this place, the only thing that makes it terrible are the two managers acting arrogant towards their workers, it is clear that they do not have experience for their position, for the sole reason of calling the attention of a worker in front of all her clients Why do that? It is clear that the problems are discussed in private. The owners should do something about it since this is not the first time something like this has happened with the managers . If I were the owner I would NEVER have this type of people in my business.
This place charges gratuity no matter the size table. Also @18% so even if your food comes out wrong or late you must tip! This is horrible business. My father s mundo was the last to come out and it is freaking soup!!! Two dishes were made incorrectly. Stay far away from here it s not worth the hype
Its unfortunate that they are already customers and the quality of the cimda drops, the 7 seas broth is really terrible, today I ordered a papered fish fillet and they gave it to me fried and greasy. I returned it to the cook, I paid and left, I dont think I will return or recommend it.

Disappointing Dining Experience My recent visit to Garelys off I20 had me feeling invisible and unacknowledged. From the moment I walked in, it was as if I was completely overlooked by the staff. Despite standing at the entrance for several minutes, no one bothered to greet me or show me to a table. Once seated, the pattern continued as servers rushed past my table without so much as a glance in my direction. When I finally managed to flag down a server to TRY to place A DRINK ORDER , they seemed impatient and disinterested, as if my presence was an inconvenience rather than an opportunity to provide good service. In an industry built on hospitality, the lack of basic acknowledgment and attentiveness at Garelys is unacceptable. I urge the management to prioritize training their staff in customer service and ensure that all patrons are treated with the respect and attention they deserve.
The food came out cold. The waitress was absolutely horrible. She didn t check on us and if we needed something we had to waive for her to come over. There were only 5 tables full of people so the food should have came out hot. Will definitely NOT be back! Very disappointed especially for the price.

The online menu with the address and prices is apparently outdated - i called and made the order and on the receipt everything was almost double the price $18.99 for a bowl of soup you re better off cooking at home
It s really gone downhill. I ve been coming here for awhile and while the food is usually great the service is getting worse and worse. A lot of that is due to them hiring waitresses that do not speak any English. I love coming to Mexican restaurants but unfortunately do not speak Spanish so it makes it extremely difficult to communicate. The last two times I ve gone the waitress could not communicate and therefore my order was not correct. I understand they re trying to make a living but when you re charging 16$ a plate and up I d like it to at least be correct. It s impossible to even communicate that something s wrong as they can barely take the order to begin with.
been there several times after they opened west county road location. its slightly above average food, I hadnt found anything that great. I noticed the service staff doesnt know the menu .. ive asked questions about the menu and they never know the answers. they look at the menu when you order because they havnt learnt the dishes. so thst means very little training . I will no longer go due to my last visit. I sat there 10 minutes with no service .. brought it up to manager and her only response was ill make sure your food comes out quickly. I guess that meant cold because the beans and rice were cold as they must of just came out a fridge had to ask server to heat up ( not the first time rice was that way) manager never checked on me again...notice she just sat at bar the whole time... guess they think they will always have business .....not with service like this

Average food at an above average price for what you get. They charge a fee for credit cards with no mention beforehand. An honest business would offer a cash discount vs an up-charge. Queso with ground beef was good but greasy.

The tamale was overcooked, dry, hard and tasteless. Taco meat was the same. Did not like it. Would not eat there again.
Be careful with the prices of the place, since they do not list them on the drinks menu and at the time of paying they charge you up to 25 dollars for a shot of tequila, the waitress was very advantageous in that sense trying to increase the bill to be able to have more tip, I dont recommend a place where they are not clear with their prices! The waitress Nikola charged for shots of 25 dollars, it was a robbery!

Fantastic place. Low frills place. Food is a little bland but warm and filling with good service. Plus the amount of food you get for what you pay seems fair. Very hard to leave hungry. Its all decent and fair priced foe what you get.

Been here twice. 1st time young lady didnt know how a dish was prepared but she went found out explained it offered options. Good service but 2nd visit asked bartender how a dish was prepared said I dont know no one has ever ordered it. Stood there stared at me. They told us 45 minute wait for party of 6. We went to ask how out table was coming along, they said 30 more minutes. Need new hostesses!

I specifically asked asked how much burritos were. The bartender showed me 4$ a burrito however failed to tell me everything u put in it extra is 1$. So they charged me 10$ for 1. Ordered 3 and draft dos X. 36$. Wasn t even that good. Be aware of changing menu prices. Oh and manager wouldn t do anything about it. Imagine that!!!! Thanks Gurleys
I just went here for the last time. I ordered a brisket, Torta, and they gave me steak on old stale bread. Ive been throwing up for the last hour. Ive never had problems here, but Ive never gone somewhere and gotten this sick.

So..thisnplace was okay. It kind of blah when you walk in. The food is ok. It needs more of the traditional Mexican spice and color. The service is great. Beverages are not that cold. Its a little dark it needs more lighting. Itbhas potential.

The services were very poor, and the waitress needed to be more nice and professional,l and I had to learn how to treat customers. I believe the waitress have to ask what side of drink they have so the customer can choose. The restaurant only has one size . I will never go back to that Garely Mexican restaurant again. I dont recommend it. The waitress also brought or soup cold, and we ask3d her to go heat it up for us , and her answer was ohh i didnt know you wanted to be boiling. I dont recommend that restaurant because some waitress doesnt know how it is to provide a go9d customer service. I am so disappointed.
I recently visited Garelys Mexican restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, our dining experience left much to be desired. The combination of extremely rude service fm a waiter and cold food was truly disappointin From the moment we arrived, the waiters attitude was off-putting. He seemed disinterested and displayed a lack of basic courtesy. Our requests for recommendations or clarifications about the menu were met with dismissive responses and a noticeable lack of patience. It felt as though he was doing us a favor by serving us, rather than providing the warm and welcoming service one would expect from a reputable establishment.
I asked for enchiladas montadas and they served me rolled enchiladas big difference. I ask the waitress and she said since I didnt want the eggs then that this was the only way they would serve them. Okay, I guess.

A place where to stop by if you driving by hwy 20 in midland texas, the food is excellent as well as the service. Personel always with a smile and great attitude towards customer. Prices are not bad for what you consume.
