Good food fast service

The food (asado) was so salty that I cant eat it. Not the first time that Ive eaten there and the food has been super salty. Will not dine in your restaurant or order for pickup, ever!

What an experience this was! First, it was recommended by a local while on a business trip! The ambiance is incredible! Best themed restaurant Ive been to in a long time! The service and food were great, as well. I would come back in a heatbeat!

Food was okay, service was good. But 20% tip automatically added to ticket for table of 4. Asked about it and was told they add it automatically for every ticket no matter size.

Ordered chicken enchiladas but asked to serve with no sauce. Only options were red & green sauce. Ordered a bowl of queso that is so bland had to add salsa to it. I used that on to of my enchiladas. Beans were dry. My husband, though loved his dinner, carne gusadia (sp ?).

Everything was amazing.

Only giving 4 starts because I was 2 bites in to my quesadilla and 2 cockroaches crawled across my table. The manager said they were actively exterminating and they d take care of our ticket. The 2 bites of my food I got were good tho.

I was very disappointed and I will eat elsewhere the next time I crave Mexican food. The decor is beautiful. That is my most positive comment. I ordered beef fajitas and an order to go. Portion size was shocking on the beef fajitas. The meat was flavorful and tender, but there was no cheese, sour cream, pico or jalapeños with the entree. There was a small amount of beans and rice and a token amount of guacamole. All for $20. No value. I ordered The Gringo to go and asked for it to be ready at a certain time. I had to ask three more times while waiting an additional 20 minutes for nothing more than a burger and fries. No refills offered during my visit. I felt ignored and was not a pleasant dining experience when we had to wait so long for everything.

Food is decent, management is so rude. We were originally told 20 minute wait, 45 mins later we finally got seated. That wasn t a big deal, but when we got our food order was wrong and we were ridiculed by management. We asked for our check to pay for our drinks since instead of trying to fix our meals, the manager wanted to argue with us and bully us into eating the wrong meals. She rolled her eyes and waved us off, walking away. We will never be back and refuse to support a business with such terrible management.

Bertas plate was awesome, service was very fast and all food was excellent.

The food & portion is amazing! Price is very reasonable! This will be my new go to! Oh, & try the cheesecake dish, it is so good. Very unique! Its hard to find a good Chili Rellno, theirs is my new favorite! Vegetarian options: I eat dairy, I had cheese enchiladas, cheese chilli rellno.

It was good, the buffet was good. Love their hot sauce! The pork chops and asado are wonderful.

I have eaten at many Mexican food restaurants in the area. This place is at the bottom of the list. The food tastes like everything comes from the frozen food section of a supermarket. Will not go here again.

Always our go-to place when we are in town.

So far the best Mexican food in this area. Taste homemade love their shredded beef flautas. Edited: took two stars off because they no longer serve shredded beef flautas and thats all I really ate here.

Its a great place to eat. Nice bar and good drinks as well. The food is delicious. When we went, the service was really slow but luckily we had time. Im sure its not always like that. Over all a great place.

I ve been going to La Mission since it has been on Big springs. The food is good I ve had almost everything from breakfast lunch and Dinner. The Breakfast Chili Verda is excellent if you like something spicy. The Pina coladas are also the best even ever had. Tonight I wanted something I hadn t had in a very long time. It s a smothered stew meat burrito very spicy but flavorful also must try. The Manager Joe is an excellent manager he always striving to keep his staff on top of things. He doesn t mind jumping in where needed to make stuff happen. Dietary restrictions: We also have a child allergic to Dairy the staff and kitchen cooks have always made sure there is no cross contamination. Very caring staff!

Good food quick and to the point and friendly.

First time visiting Midland and this place being the only Mexican restaurant there, was absolutely excited for it. Unfortunately getting seated was confusing and difficult. The place has an amazing scenery quite the decor, but the waitresses were the complete opposite. Our waitress, Lady B, rudely came to my face raising her voice, doing the same with the rest of my group. She did not let any of us finish ordering our food just rushing the whole process. Within receiving our food, the severing was not true to menu, everything was very pricey and just completely unsatisfying, after this experience she started to rudely ignore us. We understand she had other tables but even straightforward she completely ignored us. After the entire experience we wanted to take a group photo, we patiently waited for her when we had asked her to take a photo of us she said one minute and then continued to ignore us making us leave angered and unsatisfied. 12/26/2023 3:35 PM Lady B. My family has come here many times and had a great experience. We came tonight and the man running the front was so unnecessarily rude that we will never be back. He said the wait is 45 minutes and since our family has a little baby who had a bed time, we asked if he thought it was a strict 45 or if it could be sooner. The man began raises his voice at us saying we needed to move out of the way and go outside and that we were being rude when we did nothing wrong. This is genuinely a situation where no one in our group made a rude comment or did anything to receive this treatment. We will never be back.

Great food!

My kids and I enjoy the buffet. It s fresh/good and there s always something that everyone will like. It can get VERY noisy at peak times though, that s really our only complaint. Kid-friendliness: They are always kind and welcoming to our kids.

Was a basic Tex-Mex buffet. Not a bad place to stop. I would love to go back and order off the menu to see how it really is.

I ordered the Salsa verde, mango margarita and chicken enchiladas with red sauce. Food was very good. Drink was excellent. Waitor was very nice. I think he was overwhelmed and very busy. Had to ask our waitor a few times for water, i had to grab my own napkins.

This is our favorite restaurant in Midland! We love the food and the service is always great! Alina s tacos are my favorite. My husband loves the crispy beef tacos, and my boys love the green chicken enchiladas. The fajitas are also really good!

Table of 8 Wait staff was bad!!!!! when our food came out, it was put on another table & we were told someone else would be there to pass it out, Food had a hair in it, when wait staff was informed she stated you should have told me wait staff came to our table 3 times during our visit, NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

If you come to eat here for the buffet, think of Panchos Mexican Buffet... its very similar

It looked a little small inside but the place was beautiful. Very well decorated. Even the sinks in the bathroom were neat. The food was delicious, and Im very grateful the locals pointed me to this place. Even though it was only 5pm, on a weekday, the place is pretty packed and for good reason. My only complaint would be the tables and seats kinda felt like they easily tip over which is not good when you got a bunch of food on the table.

I was reading reviews and some not so nice comments. So, decided to post. I travel for work and Midland is my region. I enjoy this restaurant and I bring others when I am in town. I have brought many of my work associates and even celebrated a team members birthday here. The food is good and affordable and when you are traveling and just want good Mexican food ... this is my go to restaurant. Thank you La Mision for your service and making delicious food for a road warrior like myself.

Laura and Sarahi at the bar were amazing. VERY fast service. VERY AWESOME. We all know that salsa can make or break a restaurant and let me tell you, La Mision has the best salsa I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Has a nice kick to it and awesome flavor. I had the Poncho Villa and it was amazing, the carne guisada was so amazing. If you are in the Midland area you have absolutely got to try this place out. We came here for lunch a couple of weeks ago for a co-workers birthday and it was hysterical! Today my son turned 12 so we drove from Odessa for the birthday dessert. I approached our server after ordering and asked him to add a sopapilla ice cream and for them to sing happy birthday to his. He said yes and nodded his head. After waiting 15-20 minutes additional minutes after completing our meal- he asked if we were ready for the check. He brought the check, no dessert, no happy birthday. So I accepted defeat. My son didnt know he was missing out on anything, so we left. I was disappointed.

I love the beef fajitas. And during the week the buffet at lunch is the best around. Service always great.

Restaurant is beautiful our server Iran was amazing but the owner is rude couldn t have my alkaline water in its own labeled bottle she sends people to your table and from what I got is that they don t respect her they fear her. She should spend some time in Mexico or in a border city so she can learn what real Mexican food taste like and real Mexican Hospitality waste of $$$$

Highly recommend sitting at the bar during lunch. The barkeeper is a great guy and always cheerful. He tells pretty good jokes! La Mision makes beans just like my grandma used to make. They always have fresh homemade tortillas. The chile verde is consistently good with just the right amount of spice. Its hard to beat that. Definitely eat the buffet for lunch.

This is the only place I know of in Midland that has a Mexican buffet. That is major points, right there. However, Ive been to this place at least four times and each time, either staff or other patrons were not friendly. Im not sure what is going on here but judging people eat here. The waiters all put as little effort into service. That being said, I do enjoy the food and decor. However, who serves you and the vibe other patrons being is all part of the dinning experience here.

Beautiful inside. So festive! The food is awesome and if youre in hurry they have a great buffet. The people are happy and excellent wait staff!

If I could leave zero starts I would. I called in an order so it could be ready by the time I got there and still waited forever to receive it. Do they not understand that s why it s a call in.

The food is serviceable but nothing special. I found my order very bland with salt as the dominant spice. Another person in my party had fajitas, which he enjoyed. Service was efficient, pleasant and prompt. The chips and salsa were great.

Great food!! This place has the flavors! Their lunch buffet never fails. If you cant decide from the absolutely awesome menu, the a la carte lunch buffet is the way to go!! Red enchiladas, red beef enchiladas, green chicken enchiladas, beans both charro/refried, best rice, chile verde, carne guisada, crispy beef tacos, and a salad bar that goes hard!! If you cannot figure out where to go for lunch this place is the place to go in a pinch!

I ve been here several times and this is my first review. The food is perfectly seasoned. Great service. You may want to make reservations because there can be a wait. I always eat at the bar. If you like love Mexican food, this is your chance place.

Close to the hotel, great service, clean, good white folk Mexican food. It is what it is. The salsa and chips are tasty.
