I guess you wouldn t call this place over priced at $22 for a hamburger all full of grease

Good food and cool place. I will be back!

Our small group popped in after an event and enjoyed a glass of wine and delicious food.

Given the lack and of options in Midland, this is a safe bet for decent pub food and good service. It was nice inside but prefer it in the summer when we can sit outside as the outdoor patio is what makes it much worth it.

My most favorite place to enjoy food, beverage and entertainment.

Had calamari for starters. Small portion over cooked not value for $$. The octoberfest sausage tasteless and undercooked. Aioli sauce tasteless. Not a good experience. There standards have dropped. George Harrison

This place is FANTASTIC!! We boat or seadoo to this place when we in the area. Tons of outdoor seating and great inside space . You got to eat here the food is delicious. My fav is the seafood shrimp fish duo must try!

Don t get me wrong the servers and atmosphere are great. The blackened salmon was alright. The problem is with the steaks they were very underwhelming. Sear was weak, was not seasoned well and had way too much, very unfortunate

Would not recommend. Me and my nanny drove 45 minutes to take my 8 week old newborn and French bulldog here. The manager was rude about no dogs being welcome on the patio even though he was in a stroller with my baby. It did not make sense- as he was in a stroller and is trained. Not happy with my experience and do not plan on going back.

Beautiful location and friendly staff. Ordered the fish and chips. 25.00 for cod. The batter was not cooked through - raw inside. Had to send it back and watch my husband eat. Ordered sweet potato fries. Anywhere else would have comped the fries....

We had dinner at the restaurant on a Saturday night, although it closes at 11pm, the kitchen closes at 10pm along with drink orders. I ordered the pineapple bowl which had more rice than anything else and my boyfriend ordered the flat margarita bread, which was good. I wanted the harbour mist cocktail but they ran out of prosecco...

As always, a good experience overall!

I go to this place once every year. The food and the patio is one of the best in the area. I had mushroom burger, my wife had the pork belly. Great taste and quantity.

The view from the deck is nice to see the waterfront. Food is hit and miss. Expensive for what you get. Onion rings are v good!

I took my family out for dinner this past weekend, and we loved everything about this restaurant. Their patio has a great view of the lake, and we plan on coming back to enjoy it in the summer. I cook a lot myself and can be very picky, but I also appreciate the efforts someone else puts in their creations. This restaurant serves one of the best burgers! For dessert, we had cheesecake, which was amazing. Customer service was excellent. Special thanks to Ebonee for waiting on us! They had live music, which was definitely a bonus!

Great place and atmosphere, but the attire of the servers could be a little more modest, and much less short. It s very awkward to have so many rear-ends hanging out while serving, let alone cleaning tables.

Horrible Food 23/08/24. The calamari was overcooked, with a cardboard crust. The pasta dish was bland and tasteless and OMG they serve this fake plastic-rubbery cheese they call parmesan that was so gross spend a few cents more and don t offend customers. The only good part was eating by the water, but save yourself a couple hundred and take a walk through the harbour instead! They only stay in business because of seasonal/cottage country customers, the live music and the location by the water, the food is disgusting!

We had a very disappointing experience here. We were a family of six and were told there would be a wait for a table, which we understood. They took my phone number and assured me they would call when our table was ready. I even received a confirmation that we were on the waitlist. However, after waiting for 40 minutes, I inquired about our status only to be told that they could not find us and that there was no table available. What was particularly frustrating was their explanation they claimed they tried to call us, but I never received any calls. When I questioned them, they said they dont actually call phones, but instead called my name in the restaurant. If thats the case, why ask for a phone number in the first place? Overall, the lack of communication and the way the situation was handled was incredibly disappointing. I would not recommend this place based on the poor customer service we experienced.

Dont be fooled Worst food Ive had in years . Cheese dip was bland and a hunk of unmelted cheese in the middle.the deep fried chips were greasey. My onion rings were soggy not chrisp. Chicken sandwich with rotton lettuce, bacon so well done couldnt even chew it, Nice touch My burger was very thin for a so called double patty,oh the side oder of gravy was not gravy still not sure what that was . Very expensive, I get it ,so thats why we left 90% of the food ,the waitress was ok so we even left a nice tip. 100% honsest review. We were there on Aug 24 at 1245 pm .

The live band was a very pleasant experience. The restaurant is on the pricier side Ordered the Brisket Tacos a bit disappointed. I ordered them w/o the chipotle sauce and bbq sauce instead (don t like spicy chipotle sauce) and they charged me a dollar extra for the sauce. The meal was already 24$. By itself, the brisket was also a bit dry. I would just expect a bit more of a restaurant where meals are 20-30$. The fries and the scenery were very good though

The food and service was decent. No real complaints. However, I was approached by the manager (Ken) prior to leaving who came over and told me to put my shoes on, which I had taken off underneath the table and were on my sandals. Keep in mind that no one could see this. He told me it was unsanitary due to people having foot fungus. I m sorry but I am far from having foot fungus and would never walk around barefoot. When I was leaving he told me to go f myself . Pretty disgusting behaviour particularly for a manager of an establishment. Will not be going back again.

Overall this was a sub-par restaurant, the food was good, the service was alright however the most unfortunate part was the manager being inappropriate with one of our guests at the table near the end of our visit.. won t be back

We had a fantastic lunch at this restaurant. The mushroom burger was delicious juicy, flavorful, and not greasy at all. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. Although it was too windy for the patio, we were lucky to be seated indoors with a beautiful lake view. Menu selection is good also. Highly recommended!

Tip: they mostly have live music ,try not to sit right next to the singer ,could get noisy if you are trying to have a conversation.good musicians though! Kid-friendliness: You can present your bill to the next door ice cream parlour for a free scoop and enjoy your icecream by the harbour with purchase of any kids meals

Ive been wanting to visit the boathouse eatery ever since I went here last. I dont leave reviews often but my experience tonight was pretty perfect. This restaurant is by far one of the most hardworking, kind, and patient restaurants I have came across! The servers were so polite and attentive that we barely noticed wed been theres for 5 hours and still didnt want to leave. The band sings a really nice variety of classic songs that with that beautiful patio view makes this overall a 10/10 experience

Located right at the marina, this was a great dinner experience. Our server was so attentive and sweet. The hostess was very pleasant. Loved my salmon dinner. Best mashed potatoes Ive ever had. The blueberry mojito was also delish. Well be back!! Food

4 of us went out for a birthday dinner celebration July 23rd and was so disappointed in what was ordered. 2 of us ordered chicken ceaser salad. The processed chicken was cold when it arrived. We are not sure we will come back. Beautiful location though.

The prices have gone up way too much for whay i ordered fried dilled pickles and a poutine. I paid almost $50 for lunch Also the poutine was brought to me with coolish fries. Had to return it to get fresh, hot french fries. Not going back!!!!!!

Lovely spot on the harbour. Food was good, service good too. Large number of tables on the deck, so didnt expect to get great service but it was pretty good. Vegetarian options: I had a veggie burger - not the best Ive ever had, but pretty good.

We ate on the terrace which overlooks the boats and the bay. Very large parasol so it is possible to eat in the sun or in the shade. Excellent service, very good dishes and beautiful atmosphere with a singing musician. We liked the fish&chip with a good portion of fish and curie mayonnaise, as well as the Seafood Duo with fish, lots of shrimp and a slightly spicy sauce. Dessert: I recommend the vegan carrot cake! Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.

I rate this spot 4.5 stars for the atmosphere alone. It is very close to the water, they have this giant patio. Their service staff is coordinated and on point with everything. They have a wonderful system of serving over a hundred tables. Whoever manages, trains, and organizes them deserves appreciation. Ordered a simple chicken ceasar salad. It was ok. The chicken was under seasoned and lacked flavour. The salad dressing made up for it though.

Mixed feelings about this eating experience. The service was great. Atmosphere terrific. Food, Hmm. 1 of our part was happy with their pasta dish, burger so, so, fish with fish and chips overdone. Expected more from fries. Sorry for the dodgy review.

Not a pet friendly restaurant. I am not here to tell you how to do your business, but surprised to see the patio doesnt allow for pets and this is the first time I experienced it.

Sorry, but I have to be honest. The service from the start didnt go well, and it set the mood. Not good. And it continued to be bad, so much we decided to leave after a drink. We were so disappointed that we didnt even want to order food. Excellent location, great view, wonderful looking restaurant, but when the service is subpar and the atmosphere is not enjoyable, its time to leave. What a letdown. Maybe we will try again the next time we are in town? Hopefully, it was just a bad day

A Promising Experience at Boathouse Eatery in Midland I recently visited Boathouse Eatery in Midland and had a generally positive experience, but with one notable disappointment. The atmosphere was lovely, with a warm and inviting decor that made for a pleasant dining setting. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who took care of our needs. Unfortunately, the kitchen didnt quite live up to the same standard. I ordered my steak medium rare, but what arrived was almost well done. It was a shame, as I was looking forward to a tender and juicy steak. The overcooking took away from the overall flavor and texture, leaving me feeling a bit let down. Despite this misstep, I would still recommend Boathouse Eatery to those in the Midland area. With a bit more attention to detail in the kitchen, this restaurant has the potential to be truly excellent. Perhaps it was just an off night, but I hope they take feedback to heart and work on perfecting their dishes. Rating: 3.7/5 stars

The food menu is limited and built to move food out quickly. Taste is subpar , prices expensive for the quality. Service is ok but even on a slow day you feel rushed and bill gets to the table quickly. The are cameras everywhere in the dining room which is kinda weird. The only thing going for them is the patio and location. It could be way better

Stopped by for a quick lunch. The calamari is absolutely delightful and by far the best in town. My bacon cheeseburger was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of condiments, the patties were flavourful and moist. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! Vegetarian options: There is a wonderful selection of vegetarian meals here. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options are available Parking: Large and well lit parking lot Kid-friendliness: Staff kept the kids entertained with crayons and placemats to draw on, and a few great jokes lol Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp with a nice smooth and gradual pitch.

You simply cant beat sitting on this deck, right at the Midland marina, having lunch in the sunshine. Decent pub fare, and a bunch more. Very nice stop.

Fantastic restaurant with the best harbor view of all Midland. Had dinner with my family last night. The coconut shrimp and the seafood ceviche were amazing, so highly recommended if you like seafood. The staff were fantastic, and the chef came to our table to check how was the food. Great location and atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was mediocre for the price. Calamari was waaaaay overdone and over seasoned. The same when it came to the fish and chips. The gravy was fantastic. If you are looking for a great place to have a few cocktails and listen to some live music on the patio, I would recommend it.

The atmosphere is friendly and service is very good. We were there about 12:30 on a weekday, and it looked as though a bus load was just finishing up. We each ordered a large draft. I got a California burger and my friend got the bacon cheeseburger, the other fish and chips. We were served our food about 5 minutes after ordering it. The burgers were obviously precooked and quite dry. At $24.99 for a burger and fries, i expected better. I did not complain, however and still tipped 18%. My friend said the fish and chips were good.

Went their today with 12 other people from Wasaga beach along tiny beaches, balm Beach to the restaurant. The service was very fast ,drinks were at our table very quick. Food was excellent. We ate overlooking yachts, & other beautiful boats in the Harbour. Very cool restaurant to chill.

Went here once 2 years ago, average food. Went again today for salads with partner. They only had chicken ceaser on menu and it was $22. We both just wanted a regular ceaser salad but didn t want to say no chicken ceaser salad and receive a regular ceaser and pay the full price and lose the chicken. When bill comes it was 2 ceasers priced at $15 each add chicken for around $14 after tax. They should tell you this is an option, makes no sense, shouldnt have to ask! Overall only eat here if you are okay with the up charge for a restaurant on the water. Average to below average food.

Food was kind of brutal for the prices honestly. We have been out for dinner everywhere in town. And this is the worst place in town to get a Burger. Frozen cheap thin patties. The chicken Alfredo was top top dollar and my 125 pound wife was still hungry after eating it. Very small portions very disappointed. The apps were okay, and my friends coleslaw was barely acceptable. The atmosphere is great that s all ur paying for here, live music, water view that s it. DO NOT COME HERE FOR DELICIOUS quality food. Come here because someone who hasn t been there yet has invited you.

5 of us had dinner yesterday at the Eatery. Everyone had excellent meals & wonderful server. The beef brisket was superb on taco. Definitely will go back.

Best patio in Midland, overlooks the Harbour! Tone got a case of Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva cigars to enjoy before lunch. Went with the Brisket tacos which left me wanted more! Always a good time with great service.

We chose this place for our bus group so we were a lot of people and the restaurant was amazing from start to finish for all 45 of us! Thank you to all the staff and management for a great experience. Vegetarian options: Open faced pineapple was great!

The food was not great. Not bad, but not good either. Ate ceviche.

We had dinner there last night. The burger was overcooked, the Caesar salad with chicken was just ok. Prices are really too high for the road house food you are served. Service and view were superb, that seems to be what we are paying for.

It is not a pet-friendly place. Even with a small dog inside a carrier, they did not allow me to stay on the outside deck, and therefore, this review is limited to the location only. So, I just dont recommend the place and cant evaluate the service and the food.

Terrible food that is way too overpriced..50$ for a Walmart steak. Waited over an hour for our food and our peach Bellini was way too sweet and low quality for 14$.

Attempted to dine in here, as I have done numerous times in the past, with my service dog in training. I got turned away for the first time ever in all the years that I have been training service dogs. I have a certificate for the dog but that was no good, I was told that I needed a doctors note. You clearly need to train your staff.

If you dont mind fried, coconut shrimps are in the have to try list, known for their drinks as welliii

We had a large group of 30 people for dinner our waitress Chanel was absolutely amazing she was extremely efficiant and even took our orders in french. She had a smile on her face the entire time and knew exactly who order what and brought the drinks as soon as they were ordered. The other staff were also very accomodating and efficient when I asked to join the tables together, they all helped to make this possible. What an amazing place. Food was tremendous, staff was very friendly and a great atmosphere right on Georgian Bay.

We had Dinner last evening and the service was quick and drink was good, but Food was I will give one mark out of five. Just feel like the microwave and give it no taste. No flavour total rip off we spend it almost $180 doesn t feel worth it. I would give service a really good service and atmosphere was also nice. I wish in future they would work on there food I would be game changer for them .

We came up to Midland for the Butter Tart Festival and ended up having lunch at The Boathouse and it was amazing. It was a very enjoyable experience. Hope, our server was amazing and made sure our every little detail was looked after. Thanks for ensuring that we will return again

Outstanding, my dad and I went there for a drink today and ended up coming back with my mom. Servers were fantastic, atmosphere was phenomenal and the shareable appetizer was Rosie for! Keep up the good work.

We have 2 service dogs with vest but they did not allow the dogs to be in the terrace table. They were requesting doctor certificate. The law says the leash, the vest or certificate and we have the vest and leash.

Kent, a restaurant manager, was rude and discriminated against us today. He doesnt allow us to get our dinner at the restaurant. We have two service dogs with identification tags and vests that show that they are service dogs that help people with disabilities handle some problems.

Just driving through Midland area, and came across this restaurant. Such a great location and the views from the patio would be stellar in the summertime. The service was great, and the food portions were generous.

Service was great, got the carnivore burger that came out in 5 minutes from ordering and it didnt look tasty nor did it taste good. Poutine was okay 6/10.. ended up getting a new meal and went with the margarita pizza, was an Improvement but nothing special. Overall reminded me of below average bar food. Wouldn t recommend.

Just an excellent way to enjoy the view of the waterfront and be treated to some of the best clam chowder I have tasted, to quote my dining partner. The pulled pork sandwich was terrific as well!

Reservation for 3 on OpenTable. Asked to sit outside. Lady at front said reservations are for indoors. Took us upstairs. Sat us. Manager came and told us to go downstairs. Was put in a small seating area in the corner. Waited for 20 minutes, no one came. Walked out. Wife spoke to manager who said there is only 4 servers on. We are understanding people, but being told we cant sit outside, twice, then moved, then forgotten about, then given an excuse... who needs it. Communication is key.

First time here and will definitely be coming back from Toronto just to try more of their menu. The food was amazing and so was the customer service. The guy that sat us was super friendly and the server with braids was just as kind. I haven t been to a restaurant in a while where I had to write a review right as I walked out. That s how good the food, atmosphere and customer service were! We got the Bacon & Cheese Spinach dip, chicken Alfredo and the Argentine Burger. The dip was honestly so worth the price, given the taste and portion. The burger was loaded and the pasta was rich, creamy and honestly, packed with flavour:) whoever made this food really put love into it lol

Great location on the water at Midland harbour. Massive waterfront patio. The food however is fairly abysmal and quite overpriced for such poor quality. $30 for an okay burger with a small side of previously frozen fries is a bit ridiculous. $14 for clam chowder that was thin and tasteless and lacking in clams, or any other sea creatures. $14 for a small bowl of aforementioned previously fries with lukewarm gravy and a few congealed cheese curds constitutes House Poutine. So bad you just have to laugh. Or

We went on sushi/ramen night and glad we did! The shrimp maki sushi was fresh. I got the pork belly which was a great portion size and cooked perfectly. My partner had the 14oz steak and he said it was cooked well and flavourful. We re glad we gave this restaurant another chance and they have definitely stepped it up. The service was slower but it was busy when we were there.

Jenny was our waitress and she was amazing. She gave us great recommendations and 10/10 service. The spinach dip appetizer is YUMMY.

Awesome place!! Very friendly staff!! Incredible atmosphere!! We initially went to some very sketchy place called Lillys Italian Kitchen which was dirtier and refused service to my daughter and I at over 1 hour prior to closing time. We ended up here and was a blessing in disguise. So much better. Cheers

Overpriced tourist trap. This used to be a good place to go eat. There has been a noticeable decline in food quality since the pandemic. Our last time there my wife ordered a burger that was made with a frozen patty. There is no excuse for that at a sit in restaurant, especially for 30$. I had chicken wings that were ok, but the spicy sauce tasted just like Franks? If your going for a beer on the patio then its probably fine but we will not be going back for food anymore.

I hadnt been to the Boathouse in a few years. Went there on a Monday and was pretty amazed by their new and improved menu. Had the pineapple bowl rice dish, it was so tasty!! I love when I go out to eat and there are vegetarian options (besides the boring usual pasta or salad veggie option). Well done!! Ill be back soon :). #complimentstothechef

Its my first time going to the restaurant and it was a very pleasant experience. We arrived when they were offering a Japanese food special and honestly the food was spectacular. As well as the food on the menu that my little son ordered. To be honest, I hope we can return as soon as possible, thank you very much Boathouse
