Best tacos around!! Love the crisp taco shells and margaritas! Excellent chips and homemade salsa with friendly staff!

Could not get my family members in the restaurant, not handicapped friendly.

Just went here because it had good reviews, But it is far from anything of good. Service was poor, Food was disgusting, My kid took one bite of their food and didn t like it and they still charged us, would not recommend, this place needs to be shut down, there were flies everywhere!!

Dont let the exterior fool you. Fabulous food and super friendly staff. Food was out super fast and complimentary chips with salsa were exceptional. Just beware that margaritas have a lot of ice and not so much mix and read the menu carefully. Meals are priced with beef, so if you want chicken, there will be an upcharge. However, you also get discount for paying with cash! Would defintely eat here again!

The food is always so different every time I go in. Its almost like they have no standard measurements on their recipes. Every time Im in the food tastes completely different. Sometimes its bland and sometimes its super salty. The only saving grace is most of their margaritas are pretty good.

Salsa was great, waitress was fantastic. The cook could care less about wether your food is fresh or even right for that matter. Because of that I will not return, taco-bells chicken tacos are better!

Been going to their restaurants since they opened the first one in Bay City! Food is great, service is phenomenal and a great family atmosphere! Tonight we decided to go visit their Midland location! Our waitress Jess was fantastic and Paige worked magic in the kitchen!

Food looks nothing like what they show. The enchiladas were the size of a candy bar and no sauce on them. Had to pay extra for sour cream and salsa.

No problems with the server. Food was very disappointing. Very salty. Something was scorched- possibly the rice or meat? The hard taco and nacho chips are flour tortillas that were fried so dark they were one shade away from burnt. When we expressed our dissatisfaction to the manager she said that this is just how they make it and everybody is served exactly like this; the implication was that they will not be changing anything and she didnt like my opinion. I will not be back.

Cannot say we were pleased with this place. Food was okay at best. Chips were hard and not even salted. Margaritas we got on our flight were overly sweet! This place just missed the mark in my opinion. There are plenty of local places that I would recommend going to rather than this place.

The proprietor exhibited an air of overconfidence and seemed unconcerned about the accuracy of orders. I have personally observed this on multiple occasions.

The biggest issue is consistency. I had the Birria tacos once and the console broth was dark and rich and delicious. Then evey time I have tried it after that it has been different.

The food and service were very good, thank you Heather! We both ordered the jalapeño margarita which was nice n spicy and some freshly fried chips with salsa that was so good we ordered three more bowls for our entrees. The Birrea tacos and wet burrito were delicious with lots of good flavors and textures.The atmosphere, or lack of, is my only complaint. Its still Bushys bar in there - nothing really festive, or welcoming, and like the name Taste of Midland, nothing that says Mexican restaurant,it still just has that industrial bar feel. We will definitely be going back, and I do recommend it, but I hope to see some future improvements with the interior.

Went for taco Tuesday. They dont skimp. Great food.

We came in with A group of 14 and it took 2 hours to get food and out of there. We didnt eat together at all. 1 group of are table got there food and finished before the next group of our group got theres. The bathrooms were nasty and it wasnt clean in there at all. The waitress was rude. She couldve got A 50 percent tip because Im A server and know how to treat people and how to serve! We traveled 45 minutes to try this place. Dont waste your money! The only thing good was the drinks!!!

Why did my enchilada sauce taste like coney dog sauce??

Food was OK not great. Staff was friendly, place is a dump. It has potential if they clean it up and fix it upba but and use better quality ingredients... i could tell the cheese was like cheap wraper cheese.

This makes me sad bc I come here at least once a week but I have to say something. Called 30 mins before my lunch to order 9 tacos for my coworkers and I. They said it s a 25 min wait. I wait 30 mins and go in to pay for my order. I waited for another 25 mins in store before I asked for a refund, bc I have a 30 min lunch and needed to get back. When i asked for the refund she went in the back and immediately grabbed my food. Do they just wait for people to get angry to grab their order?? There needs to be a better takeout system or just don t do it at all. This has happened to me and multiple other people before. They have messed up my orders so many times but I ve never cared bc I loved this place so much. I know it s taco Tuesday but why tell me 25 mins when it s gonna be an hour wait? For 9 tacos that are like 4 ingredients? Very unprofessional, I will not be returning.

Quick place for lunch near the Midland iPark.

Food has no flavor. I always try a restaurant more than once and try different dishes each time. Three visits all the same. Meat had no seasoning, refried beans tasted like they came right out of a can and chips are icky. Had to keep brushing flies off my food. Margaritas were good but not worth suffering thru a meal to have one.

Not a fan of 5 staring places usually I. An fins something to complain about. But man is the food and service good

Very tasty..

Food and service have been phenomenal both times Ive been there. It has become my new favorite restaurant. Cant beat the $1 tacos, the jazzy jalapeno poppers are a must have and Im working on trying more of the menu, the sample plate was an amazing start to that. My server is always in a great mood and keeps sodas and waters filled without having to ask her. Food always arrives at the table hot, fresh, and delicious. Looking forward to having a driver one time to try the margaritas as well. The atmosphere is great, its also about the only restaurant Im comfortable in even when its busy. Other places are unbearably loud and with hearing issues and tinnitus coupled with anxiety at times its the only place I can hear the conversations at my table and my head isnt in a swivel the entire time Im there.

Food was cold and not good. Service was underwhelming, although I think the waitress was tending bar and waiting on all of the tables. Small servings of sour cream and guacamole were outrageously expensive. Queso was expensive and not good.

Southwest chicken the best.

New place so we stopped in. It was really good the server Tara was great and recommended the jalapeño margarita and my wife loved it. I had the chicken fajita salad and she had a chimi. We both agreed it was good.

The gauc was too much lemon juice, the nachos were pretty bland and basic, carne tacos came out smelling like bad cheese and tasted like nothing even though the meat was bright red. The server started out great until we said something about the guac and then just seemed annoyed we were there but did ask if we needed more drinks. The strawberry margarita tasted like mix with no tequila. All in all the food was not worth the price and the jalapeno margarita was the only thing that I was happy about when I left. Get some new cooks and it could be greatly improved. The servers were definitely not the problem. Parking: Parking was easy but they had one other table when we went.

Second try. Service was lackluster at best. Waited almost 20 minutes for drinks for 2. Only 2 other tables seated so not busy at all. Food was ordered, waitress brought incorrect order but quickly remedied. Food was not great. Steak fajitas were covered in some red sauce and it was excessive. Not tasty at all. Overcooked and chewy. Queso was ok. Margaritas were good. Will perhaps revisit for drinks and queso but the meals have been sub par.

The waitress was very polite, and attentive to us. The food was very good, with large portions. We went at lunchtime and it was very relaxing.

Decent food, very bad service! Went there tonight with a group of friends and our kids. First off, kids are not all that patient. We got our drinks but no straws. After having to ask for straws it took at least 5-7 mins just to get the straws. All the while my nephew is whining cuz he wants to drink his pop. My husband never even received his drink at all. Food came out and it was pretty decent. The rice was a lil burnt and beans were dry. But when we recieved the bill it was incorrect. The waiter had put some of the other groups stuff on our bill, including my nephews drink. But he had gotten the kids meal which is supposed to come with a drink! Then we got charged for chicken with the wet burrito, but the waiter never told us there would be a upcharge after he asked us if we want chicken or beef. Then my SIL ordered queso, which was supposed to be 1.99 but was on our bill for 3.00. I would definitely consider a different restaurant

Tried for the first time today and the last time. Not authentic Mexican. It was cold and no flavor.. after 2 bites I threw it away... if I wanted taco bell Id go to taco bell..

We had a great time. The atmosphere was quiet, perfect for catching up. There was more than enough Margarita flavors to choose from and they were all tasty. Id like to thank the wait staff especially Darrius who was friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Everyone enjoyed their dish and the price was reasonable. Cant wait to go back.

Very disappointed. 1 churro, hard as a rock and was $8.00! Seriously!!! The rice taste smoked/burnt. The enchilada is decent. Tostado she ll overcook and I asked for soft corn and got flour.

Good drinks, only 1 star because I gave the waitress $60 and she came back saying I only gave her $40 when the other two people in my party said they watched me set $60 on the table and then hand it to her when she came to pick it up. And when she came back I had to give her ANOTHER $20 first and last visit.

Tuesday tacos were good. I could only eat one, I had to take my second one home. Our waitress was very nice. I go back.

Second time here, to see if it had improved from when they first opened and the verdict is, not really. Its kind of strange that the enchilada sauce is greatly over-salted yet the refried beans are beyond bland. So, the food is two stars at best, but the margaritas are great and rate at least four stars. So go and drink, but be wary of the food. There are better places to get your Mexican food fix.

Get the Birria tacos! They are like no other Birria that I have had. So flavorful and delicious! Parking: Parking is weird right now, the two businesses have shared a lot for many many years and now it is barriered with cement walls. The other business is vacant so Im not sure why it would matter.

Food quality seems to be slipping. Great staff that work there, very kind and friendly.

I LOVE the food !!! I used to live in San Diego and I am so happy that there is a good Mexican Restaurant in Midland. The Taco Salad, the Wet Burrito, the Refried Beans, Rice and the Flautos are all great. The portion size is large. If you love Mexican Food I suggest you give it a try.

I come here most Tuesdays for the 1$ tacos. There s always so good and filled up to the top. 10/10 Recommend!

Ordered take out. Very fast and friendly staff. Had the Nachos and Tostada, both where great. The chips and the tostada shell was awesome, very light and crisp and not salty like some places.

Let me start by saying our server was alright. However, this place advertises margaritas and tequila. Unfortunately, this is just another place that serves you premade mix for an exaggerated price. The barria tacos were okay but overcooked and overloaded with cheese. They would have been okay if they were not overcooked. My wife got a tostada which came loaded with cheese and not meat. For the price of a meal and drinks it was not worth it at all.

The food is ok - it felt dry and warmed rather than cooked fresh. The service staff was friendly and helpful, but it felt understaffed. Its definitely an upgrade from the dive that used to inhabit the building, but still super generic and kind of bland decor. Parking is stupid, but i didnt get towed so i guess its ok. Id eat there again, but probably not as a first choice.

We went for dinner and margaritas as a large group for ladies night. Our waitress Tara was great!!!! She was efficient, right on top of refills and everything. The drinks were excellent! The food was so yummy, everyone at the table was very satisfied. Keep up the great work and service!!!

Met a couple friends here for lunch, the portion sizes were good. Unfortunately the sign and building are easy to miss. The refried beans were pretty salty but my burrito and my friends nachos and tacos were pretty good. Nothing particularly stood out to me as amazing but I would stop in again.

We have been going here alot since they opened.Yesterday we. Purchased 10 chicken tacos (no sour cream) get home they all have sour cream but didnt have time to travel back there contacted them they said they would replace them but had to wait till next Tuesday because thats when there on sale,it shouldn t matter and we shouldn t have to wait another week for them to replace them when we paid for them so we are probably just going to stop going there

What a hidden gem! Food was incredibly simple and authentic! Great portions and made to order. Nothing came out of a box or a bag...! Service was amazing. Do not let its location (its a little off the beaten path) fool you. I wish we had one in Cincinnati. Keep up the great work.

We ordered fajitas. We could not bite through the meat. It was like a rubber. The beans tasted burnt. The tortillas were really dry. First time in our lives that we left after one bite of food. The waitress was friendly, and the service was good. We paid our bill. We tipped the waitress and went to a different restaurant.

It was a Taco Tuesday, about 5:30. I expected a table wait, but lots of empties. Not much effort by staff. Ordered hard shell tacos with beef filling and pour margaritas. The Margarita arrived without the usual slated rum. My guest and I both agreed the beef taste was off. Presented the bill and discovered they had raised the Margarita price by $3. Apparently change in promotion. Did not get a copy receipt either. Did make a small profit in Michigan Club Keno! We are postponing future trips for an extended time.

Well sat down waited for 1hr and half for food. And when we got the food it was wrong also watched other guests who came in 30min after us receive there oders before us. We did enjoy the margaritas.

Tara was so friendly,present & helpful. We waited a bit because our receipt didn t print for the kitchen. She gave us our guacamole free and apologized. She made the experience great! Pretty decent but nothing really special. The nachos were very middle of the road, no queso or guac. Beer was a little on the warm side. Again it wasnt bad. Just lack luster Wheelchair accessibility: Perfectly accessible through both doors and plenty of room between tables.

The absolute worst Mexican food that I have ever tasted. Probably the worst food that i have ever tasted. And i have tried it 3 or 4 times. And the loudest restaurant I have ever been too. I dont think of this place as a restaurant. More like a bar with regulars, that serves food. The regulars that were there when I was the first time were very loud, obnoxious, and annoying. Its just bad bar food.

Beef quesadilla and Flacco Taco dinner was fantastic. The wet burrito is very good also. 07/01/23: Visited on a Saturday. She had 2 tacos, I had the Barilla Taco dinner. Fantastic! The spice is not for the uninitiated. So good! 09/26/2023: Visited on a Tuesday late afternoon for a birthday celebration. The Flacco Taco dinner was tasty. So good!

They make their own chips. Yes the chips are amazing. The ingredients were obviously fresh and made at the restraunt. If you have not grabbed lunch here take 45 minutes out of your day. You will be happy with the food. I saw a good number of people picking up take also.

Had cheese enchiladas with onions. I thought the onions would be inside and not raw on top of the dish. Beans and rice were average at best. Home made chips and salsa was really good. No refill on my water.

The only thing that saved it was the margarita samplers. And even those tasted like kool-aid mix.

Im kind of disappointed with this restaurant, I ordered through doordash, a take out taco salad and it states that it comes with tortilla strips, I get my food and theres no chips. I dont know about you but every taco salad I have had has chips all through it so I called there to see if I could get the tortilla strips and they told me they were just going to remake the taco salad for me my wife goes to pick it up comes back there was maybe seven of these tiny tortilla chip strips on a full take out box of lettuce and meat.

It is seldom to find a Mexican place that serves hard, soft and medium shell tacos. Taco Tuesday was a unique find. I recommend the food but cant understand why they would use such a strange name for a restaurant?

The food was prepared in a timely fashion but my wifes was burnt and she had to send it back. A replacement was brought to the table within a reasonable amount of time. There was a lot of food for the money. Overall, the restaurant was clean and neat, and our server was great!

This is the worst place ever!! My husband and I just left there and we should went with our gut instinct, food was disgusting, chips and salsa were nasty tasted like the chips were deep fried 10X, I ordered 1/2 order of Nacho Supreme hubby ordered 3 chicken tacos, the ONLY thing good was the chicken... I would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE..the waitress was ok but very forgetful.

We hosted our staff holiday party here and had a phenomenal experience! Gabbi D and Tara S were our servers and they were able to stay on top of our group of 32 with ease and kindness, kept our drinks full and all our plates came out hot at the same time. Food was amazing - the fried pickles were the highlight of the night - our whole staff loved them! Gabbi and Tara were excellent hosts, all praise for the two of them keeping up with us! Thanks for an amazing event!

Friendly bar atmosphere..a bit noisy. Food came out pretty quick and is moderately priced given the large portion size. The food has an excellent presentation but it all seemed pretty mild. The salsa was mild and the enchilada had no spice to it. Cheese was bland. Beans were average (like from a can) and the rice had an odd smoky flavor too it. It was a bit dry too. Will try other Mexican restaurants before visiting again.

It looked like a dive but some of the best eats come from small hole in the wall places and the reviews were 4.5!! The seats were ripped and duct taped- which I understand- unless 3/4 of the booth seat is duct tapped I ordered a Tostada rice, and beans, the hubs chicken fajitas, rice and beans. Outside of the rice- the food was nasty. My husband is like Mikey- he will eat anything- but not this, he ate 1 fajita and was completely grossed out. He said the orange sauce on the chicken was disgusting (which fajitas chicken is usually Marinated- not sauced ) Super disappointed.

They use the term food real loosely at taste of midland, got the protein bowl and had to struggle to choke it down with its mushy rice and rubbery shrimp i came when they first opened and had the tacos the meat is litteral dogfood AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!!!

Great service. Drink prices were very high from the size of the drink you get. The beers on tap were not as cold as they should have been so they tried to compensate by giving a cold glass.

They use too much taco seasoning. And the boxed rice was not good at all. Food made me sick embarrassed to say but like non stop toilet sick. I am Mexican and never had this experience with mexican food. Ever!

Everything from the atmosphere, food, and staff was awesome!! The ground beef is SO flavorful and the Mexican rice is good! There is a ton of food and drinks to choose from! Parking: A ton of parking, even for huge vehicles!

The burrito supreme was dry and barely had any toppings on it so when I asked for a little more lettuce tomato and sour cream, they charged me extra for it. Just put the normal amount of toppings instead of being a Scrooge. Do not recommend this place.

Fast and friendly service.

Service and food was okay. I was sat at a dirty table but there was a bug party there at the time. Charging for more chips or salsa was upsetting. The options were pricey so I just ordered a few tacos.

Amazing staff with amazing drinks and food. They have child changing tables in the bathroom too. Monica and Tera treated us like we were family and friends.

We go on Thursdays for karaoke and the food is always fantastic they have great specials as well as the staff is excellent always caters to us. The DJ Trisha is amazingly talented as a singer its like going to watch a show theres about four or five singers that are all good enough to be professionals its a great food great atmosphere and always a good time

Food hasnt been top notche last two times Ive been there. But overall food is decent foe the area and decent prices when compared to competitors

Ordered via door dash a few nights ago, it was our second try with Taste of Midland. The first, several months ago, wasnt the greatest and the food arrived luke warm. This try, we ordered the meals, myself having the 3 tostada meal and my wife the 3 taco meal. Via the app they should of come with beans and rice, neither did. They were also not even luke warm, very much on the cold side when they arrived. Packaging was fine, and it isnt a far drive, about 7 minutes during rush hour. So not sure why both meals were cold. Lacked any seasoning as well for the beans/chicken/beef. I heard the Bay City location was really good, and this one has quite a few 5 star reviews. So far, it is a bit below average at best.

We went here cause we were looking for a new go-to Mexican restaurant in Midland. Online it looked good. The restaurant and bar were pretty nice and we were hopeful that we would love it. We first ordered classic margaritas on the rocks. I thought they were pretty good, my girlfriend thought they were mostly mix and not much tequila. We ordered guacamole and you can tell it s handmade. It looked good but it was super heavy on the lemon. I ve had lots of guacamole in my life and it s always been made with lime, not lemon. With that said, it wasn t terrible, just different. Next we ordered dinner and thought we be safe and get steak fajitas for two. But were we wrong. When our fajitas arrived at our table they were not sizzling, and they didn t look like fajitas even though they were on a fajita plate and came with tortillas and all the fixings. When we tasted them, they weren t fajitas at all, they were more like very salty stewed beef. They reminded me of roast beef from when I was a kid. But don t take my word for it, look at the picture. That is not what fajitas are supposed to look like. It was beef stew on a hot plate.

Really great local restaurant. Out of the several times we have gone, all staff members are incredibly friendly. Best tacos and best queso in Midland.
