This is such an amazing place to come and enjoy a wonderful hot meal with family and friends. We got seated pretty fast for being 12 of us from the time we walked in to the time we walked out it was a great atmosphere. Every meal (i got the fried catfish ) to every drink was right, and the banana pudding was delicious one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant our server David made our night his charm and outgoing personality lifted us all up interacted with adults and the kids he was one of the family members by the end of the night would definitely be coming back to this family owned restaurant really make you feel at home I recommend 10/10 times to come and enjoy this spot
2nd choice for late lunch before flying back to Dallas. I think had I ordered something different, I would have given the food 4 stars. The catfish was seasoned just as the menu said. It was little spicy, but the country fried steak had little flavor at all. Fries were good, Cole slaw not to bad but mashed potatoes were cold. Music playing was not too loud. Alot of different things on the wall made it interesting to see. Front door staff was friendly and got us in quickly. Waitresss appeared to be in a hurry to get the day over. Asked us about dessert 1/2 way through the meal and brought the check a few minutes after we de lined.
Stopped in only because it was where I needed to eat. Food and service exceeded expectations. Salmon was cooked perfect, Lexx did a super job taking care of me. (I have GOT to remember to order water at all restaurants. $3.29 + tax for a glass of tea is whew). Other than that food prices are reasonable. Glad I stopped in.
The feature item was fried jalapeños! We always choose onion rings but these were good! Dip in ranch.😁
This is a theme-type restaurant, in my opinion. It has This western charm with high ceilings, artifacts, and western type cuisine. I can't complain about the food, it was excellent. The service was questionable. We were seated right away, but we had to have been there 10 minutes before someone finally came by to take our order. I didn't get her name, but she was so business like and wasn't even willing to engage in social conversation. Even after we got our food, you would ask her for something, and she would respond while walking away and not even stopping to make conversation with you. I was in the middle of a sentence, and she was gone. This was at about 2:00 pm, after a lunch rush. It wasn't that busy, but it would have been nice if the waitress would slow down enough to at least care what the customer needs. As a theme restaurant, it would have been nice to have a better experience, but I don't think we'll be back to this regional chain despite the excellent ambiance and food. Customer service is very important to me, and if it is to you, think about it
Catfish was good. The world famous onion rings could've been crispier. That being said, it's the best restaurant in walking distance in the area. Service was quick.
Onion rings are a most! Contrary to the recommendation, I did not ordered the a fried dish and went with the burger. For my surprise, it was much better than I expected. I will order it again. Finished the meal with a key lime pie that was delicious.
I discovered this cool little spot recently, and while I'm eager to return and sample more of their menu, the standout for me was definitely the salmon – it was simply great! The gumbo, on the other hand, was cool but didn't quite hit the mark of greatness. The grilled tilapia fell into the 'okay' category, but it couldn't outshine the deliciousness of the salmon. On a positive note, the customer service experience was excellent, rounding off the overall visit quite nicely. Looking forward to exploring more culinary delights on my next visit!
The jalapeño side dish was beyond delicious and so was the burger with pico!
Been coming here since I was a kid. And was enlightened that they were also in my college town - Nacogdoches. Place is great and people are very friendly
Food was great Cold Shiner. Service was ok. Weirdo lady staring at me made it slightly uncomfortable but overall ok.

Our food was delicious as it usually is, however, the service was really poor. Our server was not attentive to us at all. She forgot our drinks and wasnt concerned at all. We had to ask for everything that is normally offered. She didnt check to see how our food was or if we needed anything. Actually, she didnt even bring us our food. She only came back to bring the check.

This place used to have the best fried catfish in town. I used to come here often to get their fried catfish/oyster combo because other restaurants had more breading than the meat. Sadly, Clear Springs is the same as other places. I cant speak for other dishes, but the quality of the oyster and the catfish went downhill. The dish doesnt come with hushpuppies anymore. We pay more for less in quantity and quality. We also ordered the ribeye steak because of the past quality of the steak here. This is the first time ever we had to put salt on the steak when it came out because there was no seasoning on it. Im not the type to send food back because I dont like wasting food and I dont want to wait longer. As long as its somewhat edible, Im eating it. The service is also horrible. The only time we saw our waitress was when she brought our food out, came back for one refill, and when she brought us our check. Never once asked if the food was good, etc. She brought us our catfish/steak plate out and didnt even ask us if we wanted tartar/cocktail sauce. I also didnt have a fork for my steak because mine was used for the salad, and when she picked up the salad dish, she took it with her. I had to hunt her down to get us our utensil and sauce to eat. Overall disappointed for the whole experience because this place was one of my favorites in town and its not the same anymore.

Great place for comfort food and more. It was very busy for weekday lunch but they handled it well, so dont let a full parking lot scare uou off.
It was busy so took a while to get drinks and food. Had appetizers.. cheese sticks fabulous. They were half gone by the time we got the sauce to go with them. Also had mushrooms also tasty but TINY. Ridiculously small baby mushrooms. Everyone was friendly.

Pick 3 Seafood portions skimpy. Seafood gumbo had 1 tiny, penny-size piece of shrimp; the rest was chicken! All-in all a disappointment.

Just what we needed for an evening out. Super attentive staff, great food! Lose of 1 star is I wish they d pick the parking lot and landscaping up a bit. The trash there doesn t reflect inside.

Server was great, Michelle. Lost my receipt and Michael email it the next day. Food and atmosphere was terrific! In a time when service isn t always top notch refreshing! Kid-friendliness: Grandson was greeted with crayons and paper, crackers and lots of smiling employees. He showed his gratitude w messy high chair. Clean place.

Ordered a salad grilled chicken salad no avocado no tomatoes, I guess they can t read and there s no pecans at all in the salad there s hardly and salad in the salad!
I really enjoyed the staff and the food is also great. I plan on many more trips there to try the wide variety of the items on the menu.

Got seated but not served, this is a all whites restaurant no help at all from white staff. Dont recommend if your Hispanic. Racism is still pretty much alive at clear springs restaurant.
Wonderful food and excellent service. The menu is exceptional, the prices reasonable and the ambiance is quite pleasant. This is my first choice for supper when in Midland!

Shout to Clearsprings for this Redfish Etoufe. It was beautifully plated, well seasoned and has a nice bite to it. I appreciate this dish so much. It was the best birthday dinner. Thanks to Manager Mr. Campbell for kindness and redirection on our waitress experience. Overall will return for that dish again.
Such a ridiculous, disappointing experience. Waited for 1 hour 15 minutes. No food. Waitress stopped by once to tell us they were busy and food would be out soon. Meanwhile, watched several groups come in, eat, and leave, while we waited for our 4 basic meals. Waited for the manager to come see us, and they didn t bother. See ya!

Ive been dining here since I was a little kiddo, and always get excited to come back! The food is always amazing, but some tables feel a bit too close together, and a few servers could use some etiquette and time management training. Overall, still a wonderful experience for the family!

Love everything about them great food, great service, old country feel to restaurant with country style food. We ate here for my birthday last year it was great all around. Mothers Day 2024 was a hour wait out son had to work so we went somewhere else. But we will be going back on a not so busy day.

Great local sport, the Fried Catfish is great and the Fried Crawfish is delicious. The staff is always friendly and attentive. But the steamed broccoli leaves a lot to be desired. Definitely recommend the place just avoid the rock hard broccoli.

This used to be a good place to eat! I got a pork ribeye there today that was rancid. It took over 40 mins to get my meal. The only late arrival at the table got her meal before myself & another co-diner. Never an apology for the bad service, the bad food nor were any options offered for the bad pork ribeye. Sad to see this place going downhill.

This place is one of the best places Ive been in Midland! Everything was absolutely delicious and well seasoned. The food was flavorful! Especially the catfish. The service was great, and a cool atmosphere too.

I havent been in a few years and its nice to see the decor hasnt changed, I like the hominess atmosphere. The food and the place is always excellent. I got the Blackened catfish, some of the best Ive had (even in NOLA), and the garlic potatoes are too die for. The server, not so much, he spent almost as much time behind and around the bar chatting as he did on the floor. But Ive lived in Midland long enough to not to have any expectations about service. When I go out to eat. I will continue to patronize them because the food is always great. Parking: It can get a little tight on weekends.

This place used to be a go to for birthdays and bringing guests... used to! Wow whoever owns this place needs to really consider new management . Ordered the same as i always get shrimp brochette. So heres the thing.. i could not place what was off about the shrimp but my guess is thr shrimp was not fresh and bacon tasted off. The rice was inedible! A startchy mess that had no taste. It was always rice pilaf in past.. yall need to go back to that. The green beans were shriveled and too salty, the hushpuppies were overcooked and shrunk. My husband always orders catfish and that sure isnt the same either! The pieces were very small and over cooked. What a disappointment . We used to love this restaurant but over time it has gotten worse and worse , now id say that we will not waste the 150 dollars we normally spend bringing someone here. At some point short cuts and trying to save money on restaurants part bites them in the butt! We have been coming since it opened in Midland... its a shame its not the same. People do notice the changes. The only good thing was onion rings.

My food arrived Luke warm. The server was very professional about it. The kitchen nuked it and put more gravy on it - disappointing, still it was tasty. I tasted the catfish and it was FABULOUS! Shout out to our server (I wish I could remember her name!!). Two of us at the table waited tables & managed restaurants - so we know excellent service!
Its a family favorite place for us!
Everything was excellent. We loved the relaxed casual atmosphere. Service was great. We really enjoyed all of the food. The only issue was the seafood cocktail sauce tasted like ketchup, I.e, it lacked enough horse radish. Otherwise everything was excellent. The gumbo was very good. It s a do-over!! We will be back!!!

The seafood grille was delicious. The bacon wrapped shrimp was incredible. The catfish was so tender. Extremely busy place. So the service suffers a bit.

This is an excellent place to dine in their food is great the service is great and the atmosphere is great, me and my family goes there and also me and my fiance goes there a lot, its known as my favorite place to eat out.
Im not one to complain but my experience was bad this time. I got the catfish and shrimp. The coleslaw was sooo watery ( I didnt get a picture) then I got something to go for work and the peach cobbler had one peach. Just sad looking.
The food, service, and atmosphere were fantastic. My only complaint is the room in the booth. I went with two of my co-workers, and the space between the table and body is tight. We are not in any way obese but the booth said otherwise. If they could spread that apart about 3 inches on each side, that would be great.
It.was late in the evening, and Im guessing they were doing pre-close procedures. The fries were a little tough. But the shrimp, and catfish were soectacular.

Friendly staff and great atmosphere. The food is decent. Weve had fried fish, grilled fish, and steak during our visits. The steak tends to be cooked medium-well when ordered as -rare. Flavor is overall good.
Good food in great service
Went in lastnight for my granddaughters birthday, Lucy was the young lady that attended us and she was so sweet and patient with our table. Our food came out quick considering that we had 10 people. The young lady that walked us to our table was kind of rude and didn t really pay attention when we got there, they were all sitting down in the front which seemed like they didn t want to be there but other than that our experience was good.

The thinnest ribeye ever. You could literally mistake it for a napkin. Amazing sweet corn however. Phone kept ringing unanswered by non-present hostess throughout dinner

I usually go to the Clear Springs outside New Braunfels and love it! Went to this Clear Springs and was pleasantly surprised! The food was good and the onion rings did not let me down!
The food was great. I had the catfish sandwich and it was delicious. Everyone in our group loved the food. We went during lunch and it was very busy, so I would recommend ordering to-go if you have a time limit.

Horrible Service !!! We were seated right away and waited for 45 minutes at our table. No waitress show up. We have been coming to this restaurant for 15 years never had that experience, I don t know what happened..
I didnt get our waitresses name, But she wore a purple sweater yesterday. She was phenomenal. Our drinks were never empty and she was very attentive. We will definitely be returning. Great service, Great food. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. It was the service for me tho, Our waitress was wonderful.
My friend and I found CSR kinda by accident. When we pulled in, the restaurant was already in full swing dinner mode. They sat us (and my Service Animal, Chip) right away. The deep fried mushrooms were the highlight (for me). INCREDIBLE! I had the pick 3 combo, and it was delicious. The cheesecake is made in house which was a pleasant surprise! I dunno how I got in it all in my stomach, but I did! Outstanding service!!! I wish I could give Alex R. 6 stars! She was so friendly and product knowledgeable. She even stopped a few times, just to engage in friendly chat while we waited for our meals. I observed ALL of the staff staying busy and taking care of guests, together! Thats not very common in restaurants, and it was nice to see. We will definitely be returning there to dine again! I saw fish tacos on the menu, so thats probably what Ill be having next time. Thank you for an excellent dining experience, the management should be very proud!

I come here pretty often and get food Togo, it s always the same lady behind the bar handling Togo orders. Long black hair, always has an attitude. This lady alone is the reason I will never go back after today. For the 4th time, I have asked for lemons, they are never in the bag. I go back in and have to speak to her again, I am very nice, no attitude. She makes me wait about 5 minutes, another lady comes and asks me if I need something and the original girl steps in and says I ll get it and proceeds to make me wait another 5 minutes, gets the lemons, tosses them at me, I still regrettably say thank you very much and she rolls her eyes and walks away from me. I ve worked in customer service and understand how customers can be which is why I would never treat someone bad especially in the service industry, but it should also work the same way for an employee talking to a customer. Do better..
