Big E's Sports Grill in Midland

The server took our drink order in a timely manner, but she didn t come back for food order for 45 minutes after someone went to get her. The restaurant was far from crowded. The meal took forever to come. Three of us ordered the French Dip. It was horrible and you couldn t bite into it because of the fat and gristle. The server never came back to check on us. When she did show up with the bills we told her we couldn t eat the sandwiches. She offered to get us something else. Too late! Then offered to call the manager. Manager appeared and stated that sandwich was new on the menu. Then said she would tell the kitchen and took our plates away. SHE NEVER OFFERED TO TAKE IT OFF OUR BILL! So we each threw $20 out the window for something that was not fit for consumption. There were 11 of us and we all agreed to never go back there.

I watched a staff member do a phenomenal job during lunch time all by herself. Yes, she hussled and never lost a beat. Her routine was fantastic. No one got up and left, no one flagged her down, everyone seemed happy. She smiled the whole time. She even Thanked her customers for stopping by and wished them a good day. A job well done to Lindsey!!

The service was some of the worst ever. Our waitress obviously didnt want to be there. I had to walk up to the bar for a 2nd beverage. While I was there, I saw the waitress finally passing with my beer in hand. I cancelled it and asked for a water instead as we were pretty much done eating and I hadnt had a drink during the entire meal. Our table wasnt level and tipping back and forth. There were some folded napkins under one of the legs, but they no longer worked. There was old dry milk or ranch or something white splattered along the wall along our bench seats. Its a shame because the food was quite good. The service needs a complete overhaul. Most of the staff we saw were chatting while customers are unhappy and being way overcharged for the overall experience. Over $50 for two people to have bar food with terrible service. We will not be back.

Food is Dynamite, Service was perfect!!! Big Easy Burger was top notch, and the boneless chicken wings are homemade, fresh, and delicious! Don t sleep on the cheesy bread either!

We went there for a group lunch from work. There were 8 of us, and we received quick, friendly service. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks.

Always amazing food at decent prices. One dish is always enough for my wife and I to split!

The waitress seemed like she couldn t wait to just throw down our food and drinks and talk to the table that was literally right next to ours the entire time (along with two other servers). My drink was never refilled, and the food was bad. If you re going to charge $14 for artichoke dip, at least make sure the chips won t give you coronary disease from the amount of salt on them. The burgers were extremely lackluster, and the fries were obviously old. And the cherry on top is that when we were leaving, we saw the same girls that sat next to us talking to ANOTHER employee from the kitchen exit door. Wouldn t recommend this to anyone unless you re staying at the attached hotel and you re desperate.

Always a wonderful experience. The wait staff are super kind and responsive and the food always rocks. Considering staying the night at the hotel just so I can get blasted at Big Es and stumble to my hotel room 10/10.

They won t even let you stand in the aisle while talking and buying drinks.

Waitress never came back to the table after our food got dropped off. That also took way longer than it should have as they were not busy. When we told the waitress that we had to go get our own refill she apologized and said she was cleaning.

Service was slow. Atmosphere was good for a sports bar - I wasnt looking for that. Noisy. Their fare sounded good, though I was looking for meat and potatoes.

Portions were very small for the price. Food was okay, but not good. Manager was involved in our dining experience and was defensive and was justifying rather than helpful. This manager needs customer interface training. $75 for 5 of us - not worth it. We wont be back.

Big mistake-I ordered gluten free and the waitress assured me it was -only to come back after I started eating it to tell me she gave me the wrong food. My stomach was bad for the rest of the day.

Had a family get-together here recently. The service was outstanding, and the food was excellent. The atmosphere was a bit loud for visiting but its a sports bar, so that is to be expected. In all, we had a great experience.

Came here with 10 people last minute on 4th of July. The staff worked with us to get everyone seated together. Our waitress was very sweet, and when she accidentally put in one too many pizzas for our group, they let us keep the extra one. Two of the women in the group got the dill pickle pizza and said was the best pizza theyd ever had!

I have never had a bad meal or service at Big Es!! Its always my go to when Im hitting shops in Midland.

I had the buffalo chicken sandwich. It tasted good, but part of the chicken breast was very tough and hard to chew. The onion rings were soggy and really unappealing. I only ate 1, which was a bummer since there was an upcharge to have them as my side. (The other person in our group who also got them only ate 2.) Our server was very attentive. The acoustics are really bad. It wasnt that crowded (we dined early before going to a movie) but it was very hard to have a conversation -- couldnt hear others at the table. Overall, not a great experience. It was my first time there, and I probably wont be back.

Myself, husband, and sister came here for lunch. While we waited for service, I went to the restroom. When I went back to our table, we still hadnt received any service or acknowledgment. A couple of minutes later, a waitress waited on a table of two that had been seated after us, and we still hadnt been acknowledged. At this point, we had been there for almost 10 minutes, so we decided to leave. For the record, there were many empty tables, so they definitely were not busy for it being lunchtime, and that probably should have been our clue that it wasnt a good place to go eat.

Our food was delicious, service was slow but there was also a big party there at the same time.

Carrie was amazing! Best server! She made sure we had everything we needed an gave us recommendations on what was on special. She needs a raise!

Our server Steph was absolutely amazing. Appetizers and food portions were a lot. Everything we ordered tasted great! Highly recommend trying it out if you re in town. Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant has plenty of handicap parking available. Easy access to the main doors. Once in the establishment, easy to maneuver within the establishment.

First time here and I was impressed. Its open later than most places in Midland, they roll up the streets here around 9.

Most of the staff that works here is great. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because of the male bartender. He is absolutely horrible. If you come in and a dude is prancing around behind the bar, good luck on getting good service.

Super dissatisfied and bummed about our experience. Asked what they had on tap waiter looked at the bar from a distance and said a lot ok I guess I ll just guess at this point and try to find a beer I want (mind you there was a beer list mixed in with our menus but weren t made aware of it). Got an appetizer and it was super cold when brought to our table (something that should have not been cold) asked for it to be re heated (said had to put in a new order) got the new order and was still cold so we just didn t eat it. We ordered two pizzas and wings again the wings were super cold so I didn t even bother telling them we just didn t eat them. The pizza was decent (at least it was warm) paid our bill and left. I won t complain again (I have never in my life sent food back in my life ) I just will never go back and I ll make sure I tell people how my experience was. Simply disappointed to have such cold food on a slow Saturday afternoon.

ordered a burger , didnt ask me how i wanted it cooked and it was cooked all the way through to the point it had almost no flavor , their drinks were tasting mostly like water , also had a pulled pork sandwich that had no barbeque on it just tasted like pork ... overall awful place but the service was okay

This is our favorite place for Buffalo chicken pizza. They do it right with Bleu cheese and an Alfredo base. The brownie dessert was also awesome. Its a great place to catch a game.

The server was good.....everything else seemed to be a bit of a struggle for them. The food was cold except the two meals of 11 that came out seperstley from the rest of the group. Maybe it was just a bad night.

Youll LOVE the Holiday Inn Midland, and Big Es Sports Grill is inside the hotel. Breakfast was SCRUMPTIOUS!!!!! Weve been here many other times; the draft Michigan craft beers are alway cold and the food is always served hot, and its fabulous! Carrie was our waitress, A+, awesome place. They were packed, the place was JUMPIN!!! Go here!
