Lucky's Steakhouse in Midland

The service was impeccable. I had the Florida Mahi Mahi. Tropical seafood is a little out of season, so the imports were a little chewy, but still flavorful and decent. It was my first visit, so I wasnt sure what to expect. Ill definitely get a steak on my next visit.

This Luckys isnt good for steak. I swore a few years ago that I wouldnt go back, but thats where my son wanted to go for his birthday. I ate 4 bites of my over-cooked steak and got a box for my dog to eat the rest. Only gave it a 3 because everything else was good. Just not our steaks... Ill stick with Texas Roadhouse for steak.

Called 5 days prior for a reservation of 10, family arrived, no table. After we waited for a table, we got seated and had to ask for a server after 15 minutes. We ordered appetizers and cocktails, and thank goodness we did because it took 30-40 minutes for our food that was mediocre at best. Never came back for refills, didnt ask for dessert. It was both my parents birthday, my fathers 80th. Very disappointed as we frequent Luckys for special occasions.

Went there on a whim to try something new and was not disappointed. Went for lunch and got the prime rib sandwich. The staff was super friendly, very accommodating for my food allergy, and on top of that the food was delicious. Would recommend to friends and family and will return. We have ordered from them twice on door dash since moving back to Midland and both times items have been missing. The stuff that did actually show up was different than portrayed on the menu.

Got the ribeye it was dry and tough. Little to no seasoning. Ceasar salad was good croutons were stale. Garlic green beans were good but did not taste the garlic. Would not order a steak from here again. Service and atmosphere was 5/5. Friendly people not so friendly food.

Stopped in Sunday night. Had a ribeye steak. Nice and tender. Appreciated the fact that they didnt over salt it like some places do. Service was excellent. Music was not overly loud like the sports bars sometimes do.

Atmosphere ok. Restaurant was full so it was very loud, it was hard to talk to each other. Ordered a ribeye medium rare. It came medium well. Spouse didn t want to be a complainer so we swapped plates and they ate my tough overcooked steak. Parked in back of the restaurant. When I went to my car there was a group of employees smoking weed outside the back door. Guess that explains my overdone steak!

We love stopping at Luckys restaurants when we visit Michigan. I didnt receive the exact food I ordered but Waiter was quick and willing to fix, however what I got was absolutely perfect!

Was there to pick up my takeout and the hostess that waited on me was extremely rude and unprofessional. Everything I asked herabout regarding the menu, to her sounded funny and the other staff that was standing next to her was rude too. They all looked at me like, why all the questions. Too expensive also, food was not very good. Overcooked veggies and burnt potatoes.

Food was good till I bit into a broken mussell shell!!! Chipped a tooth and the waitress took 7.00 off the bill for the trouble NOT COOL! I get that its not her fault, but come on, 7.00!!!!!! Unreal! There was multiple pieces of broken shell in the sauce in my dish! I have never seen broken mussell shells in all of my life.

Maggie waited on us. She was an awesome server. I had the porterhouse steak and my husband had the double lucky burger. Food was great. We will be back.

I had Sunday lunch at the Midland Luckys location. The food was excellent, as always, and an incredible value! Our server was JP. She is by far the best server I have encountered. She has been at Luckys for years and is absolutely superb! I will drive the extra distance to this Luckys location if I know she is working as I know she will guarantee that my dining experience is perfect. I highly recommend you go and if JP is working you would do well to request her section.

Excellent steakhouse. Service was great and fast. Sometimes, it can be busy. Expect a wait if you dont have a reservation at a busy time. Steaks are always cooked as desired. Kids love it too.

Went to Luckys 07/03/24 I debated on this review because I normally love Luckys but this was the most disappointing meal Ive had from them. Bread and salad where good meal was horrible.

Awful takeout experience, do not bother ordering from Luckys Steakhouse. Despite calling it in over 30 minutes before, when I arrived they made me wait over an hour before my order was ready. Then, after leaving I found that two of the orders were missing items, despite the fact that we ordered items on their menu and made no additions or substitutions. Really bummed out by the poor speed and quality, I expected better.

As always the food was excellent. The staff are real professionals.

Nice evening meal!

Came here for my Birthday dinner because we love the one in Almont but moved up north. We drove over one hour to get there and the steaks were super thin compared to the Almont location and over cooked. They didn t give me croutons on my salad. I asked and they gave them. I ordered a medium rare ribeye, it came out well done. I ve never in my life sent food back but I can t eat a ruined well done steak. They refired it and it was better the second time but still not medium rare, it was medium well. I accepted as I wasn t going to wait around for a third one. The manager came to the table and tried to make it right by offering a free cheesecake and apologizing but it doesn t make up for the two incorrectly cooked steaks. This place isn t cheap and being a steakhouse they should know how to cook a proper steak. If I should ever return to a Luckys establishment it definitely won t be Midland.

Worst experience ever, waited 45 mins to be seated, when we were finally seated there were at least 15 open tables. I asked for a porter house Medium/rare w/Frys and asparagus and the waitress thought I wanted a pork chop. We finally get our order over 1 hr 30 mins later, my steak was well done, and she forgot my asparagus, she comes back to tell me they are all out. Other at our table had less than ideal service. Its was not like we had a huge party. There were 7 of us.

Service was awesome! Maggie did an amazing job! But it was very loud!

Morgan was our server tonite and I have to say she was one of the best servers we have had in recent memory. My steak was not cooked to my specs and when she came by asking how our food was, I showed her my steak and she immediately said that is not medium rare. She took it back without question and did not make feel like a picky customer. The steak she brought out was cooked correctly and she stood by while I cut into it to make sure it was cooked correctly. Thank you Morgan!

I went to the Midland location with my family a few days ago, and our server Maggie was great! She was friendly and made sure our orders were accurate and to our liking. We enjoyed ourselves and would come back again!

Luckys is a great place to dine. The food and service are excellent. The only bad thing was that our table wobbled.

Came to Luckys for the first time for my friends birthday. We arrived a little before 7pm and waited at the bar until our table was ready (30 minutes not bad). We then waited over an hour for our food and appetizers and were not given bread. The filet mignon was not cooked as requested, the alfredo was sadly mush and the appetizers were overcooked. However, the waitress was amazing, apologetic, and tried her best to get the food to us as soon as possible, but appeared the kitchen was giving her trouble. I would recommend not going at that time, maybe it is better towards mid evening.

Two orders of double Lobster tails were not cooked all the way. Even when they comped us 2 more orders. Server and manager where great. Cook needs to learn more about cooking Lobster. Food

Luckys steakhouse has adopted texting your personal cell number when your table is ready. My husband and I ordered drinks at the bar while we waited. Our text arrived 28 minutes after we arrived. We cashed out our bill, walked over to the hostess and checked in for our table. The hostess told us they only keep our table for ten minutes, and we were 12 minutes and therefore, we were back on the wait list. They were told we would be waiting in the bar. We had a $100 gift card we were trying to use, or we would have left. Luckily, our bar stools were still open, and the bartender took our order, and we ate at the bar. The bartender was extremely busy but kept a smile while her coworkers complained to her within our ear shot. We were very disappointed in our treatment from the hostess and their wait list system. The food was ok but not our best experience at this steakhouse.

We went there at a slow time of day and the visit was still off point. The food came out barely warm. The lobster linguine was not very flavorful. The double cut lamb chops were over cooked and fatty. The server was disingenuous and could couldnt careless about us. I like salt and the special steak sauce or zip sauce is too salty. Been here several times and had similar experiences every time.

Absolutely amazing service I went there last minute and accidentally was short by a dollar and could not find a way to pay for it for the life of me and the management ended up just discounting it from my total while they were getting swamped with a million other things. I couldnt say good enough things about this place and I would highly recommend everything on the menu. The fish tacos are a great appetizer and the top sirloin is an awesome dinner.

I dislike the way they cook. I have ordered lobster like 5 times now, overcooked everytime. Also their broccoli is disgusting. Its always too crunchy still with absolutely no butter on it. I really cannot tell it if was previously frozen broccoli.? If you are looking for a great steak and lobster, this is NOT the place. the steak was cooked as desired, but the lobster was terrible. Sides were COLD, not just lukewarm, cold. They must have gotten a new cook. So disappointed. Waitress was very attentive and apologetic.

The kitchen messed up the order so most of us were done eating before one person got their order.

I don t like Lucky s in Midland at all. Husband and I were in on a Friday. It was busy but the wait wasn t that long. Server was not friendly. We saw her grab a loaf of bread from a cleared table and put it on our table. No plates. No butter. She never came with the butter. We had to hunt someone else to get it. By then, bread was cold. Same thing happened to our food order. She didn t bring what we ordered. Again, by time our food made it to our table, it was cold. To top off the rest of the night, she gave us the wrong bill. I already had credit card out, so she took it to register. We looked at our copy and realized it wasn t ours and was quite a bit more. I went to her and told her about the mistake, and she took bill and charged my card for our correct bill. This is an account I don t keep a lot of money in, so now I have an overdraft. I have yet to be reimbursed for the first. Not happy. Let me also add she did not apologize for any of the mistakes she made.

Sunday is crowded. Why did they give the waitress 2 tables of 15people to manage ??? Waitress Kat tried to juggle best she could. Food took a long time. She probably is amazing when not overwhelmed and overworked. Ordered soup only to go and it still took 20min. They were short staffed on Sun I guess.

Our appetizers were good but the prime rib sandwich looked so bad we sent it back.

$28 steak was so tough, the fork bent while I was trying to cut it. Couldnt eat it. They offered a new one, but I didnt want to wait or get a 2nd tough steak. They took $14 off our bill.

Have been going for years. Loved the prime rib most of all. Always great service and food....until...the last 2 times. Went for our anniversary, prime rib was very rare to almost raw and full of grizzal and fat. Awful, wrote a review directly to the company. Didnt want to go public with the review because it had always been a 5. I did not recieve any acknowledgement of my letter. But happened again for my birthday. This time I asked the server to look at the prime rib and see if it looked gnarly or should I order the ribeye because of my last disappointment. He told me to consider the ribeye instead. OMG again, but even worse. Everything, wine, vegetables, soup, bread, service..great I will no longer order any beef at this steakhouse. But I love everything else, so I will return, just NO beef.

Lunch with my sister we both had the steak salad it was delicious and the steak was cooked perfectly , then we split a piece of their cheesecake if youve never tried its a must have with the raspberry sauce

We were a party of 10, and we chose to dine at this establishment, with many of us frequenting the bay city branch, we thought this would be ok Unfortunately, after a 45 min wait, and a full waiting room with over 20 tables empty, we were finally seated.. ALL the orders were sent back to the kitchen.. the steaks were all the wrong temperature, the prime rib was grisly and a tough cut.. two orders were just simply wrong, the blackened fish was no seasoning and undercooked, the vegetables were raw and the sauce seemed like it was just straight up milk One rib eye was sent back three times The other twice, another was ordered as a regular but came Cajun style.. the only thing they got right was the Coke Zero on tap The servers were lovely and we all ended up giving a 50% tip, as it looked like we were not the only table with issues and they were having to deal with a lot of annoyed and angry customers The manager just hid in her office and when confronted, she didn t seem to care I called the restaurant after and they just hung up on me, and when I asked for upper management, the manager put me on hold for 10 mins and then just hung up on me Looks like a management issue and now her staff have to deal with the consequences

Had to send the steak back it was over cooked. They did redo it. But it made for a longer dining experience.

Took my mom here for her bday dinner! I called days before to make a reservation for Friday 12/22/23 and was told they dont take reservations that all we could do is come and wait if its a wait. So I got there early Friday to make sure we could get a table for our group. And when I got there they said I needed a reservation and that it would be a 30 min wait for a table. They took my name and number said they would call me and I went and sat in my truck right in front of the doors. Went in about 25 mins later to see if we was still on schedule and was told they no longer had a table for us and it would now be an hour or longer. When they seen we was looking up other restaurants in the area they decided to tell me that they had a booth big enough for us. It was not big enough at all we did not have enough room for us let alone our food and drinks. Then we they brought us our food several of us had items missing and when we asked if they would be tooken off the bill our waitress told us no they are included in the meals even though we didnt get those items! That was the last straw we wont be going back!

We ordered take out on Christmas eve and it was the worst take out our French Dip was served on hamburger buns with no au jus, our Brussels sprouts were only leaves, no bread served, Caesar salad was tiny, and our daughters steak was well done. Very disappointing. I hate complaining on Christmas eve but this is always our go-to restaurant in Midland

Ive been here a few times and each time the food is phenomenal but I tried to come here on a Friday night. I called for reservations for two people. I called at 11:00 in the morning and was informed they do not need reservations for two. I showed up at 6:15 when my reservation was supposed to be for and was told there is an hour and a half wait. That sounds like a significant management problem that they cannot take reservations. This needs to be fixed.

I had the gigantic baby back ribs, with soup and salad. Everything was delicious.

For starters the bread wasn t good, very flat dense and chewy. The house salad came with the dressing already on the salad, but on the bottom of it. We were not given a choice if we wanted the dressing already on it or on the side. My main course was never cooked, when it did come out it wasn t fully cooked. Waited over 15min and the replacement still was not brought out. The burgers were suppose to be medium well but they were well done, one was burnt. Mashed potatoes came out cold, never would have received our baked potatoes if we didn t ask for it, and the steamed broccoli was more raw than steamed. My main course was still not out when the waitress brought our bill, that was rude. We said forget it, paid our bill and left. It was not busy at all, plus the waitress didn t even seem to care very blasé about everything. Needless to say we will never be back to the Midland Lucky s, will always go to Bay City for now on.

So I am giving 5 stars because the first visit was stellar... the second was more of what one would expect from a chain steakhouse in middle America. I still appreciate the mostly attentive staff and willingness to accommodate allergies, however I noticed the difference between lunch, shift change, and dinner. I dont recommend 3:45pm... much different experience. Luckys after dark= enjoyable tasty experience Luckys during early bird special hours= high end Applebees Dietary restrictions: The clarified butter that is offered to dip the lobster in is actually a dairy free product! This made me very happy.

This location is hit or miss. We have had great meals here with good service and bad service nights too. Last story I heard was about a hostess who ignored/staired at a handicapped person trying to get through the entry doors. The handicapped person turned around and left. This is very bad for the reputation of the establishment.

I have mixed feelings. I ordered the lobster shrimp fettuccine and the pasta was over cooked. The waitress took it back and they kindly made some fresh and it was much much better. We also ordered stuffed mushrooms which were absolutely amazing! The drinks were also very good. My sister and mom however ordered steak with mashed potatoes and neither of them could eat very much of it because it was so salty. So I shared my food with them. My sister let the waitress know about her food and the manager came out to speak with us. My sister and mom respectfully let her know that they were unable to eat the food because of how salty it was. She was very polite and said she would let the cooks know. The issue I have is that their bill was not discounted even though they couldn t eat what they ordered. In saying that they also were not looking for that to be done but the more I thought about it the more upset I became. I know some people are disrespectful to staff to get it taken off their bill and it works. We are not those kind of people. My family was very respectful in letting the staff and manager know. And they in turn should have been respectful of us and taken at least a percentage of their bill. And we would have respected them for doing so. Because of this I don t know if I ll be back.

The food is good. The hostesses are rude and turned picking up a take out order in to a guarantee I will never go there again. Service

Jordan our server was unbelievable! Food was good and reasonably priced - but the service was the real highlight. Attentive and charming and so amazing. We were a large party on a busy day after graduation with standing room only great experience.

I really like Lucky s before Covid and now it seems the food has lost its flavor. I am a big steak lover, but Lucky s totally gave me an ick for steak. I had a T-bone because I always eat meat from the bone at a restaurant. Why I thought that would make a difference? I have no idea, because the T-bone was dry(cooked medium), tough, and ABSOLUTELY NO FLAVOR. I mean I felt like I was eating at the mom and and pop eatery that s been around for 50 years and has no seasoning, because some seniors can t take flavor/seasoning. So I have the rating a two for all those reasons. The server we had was a sweet young lady with great customer service skills. I will not eat there again. Sorry Lucky s has been out of luck for this review.

The prime rib is always a must. Perfection.

Food is great, service needs to step it up. Ive watched doordash people come in to get orders and the restaurant employees are just rude with them. My waiter was great though

Great place for a team lunch.

The food was great. Took a little while to get seated as we we were there to lunch rush hour. The prices were reasonable and lots of food.
