The service and food were absolutely exceptional. The ribeye, filet mignon, and chicken souvlaki were cooked to perfection. The dining experience was flawless, leaving no doubt that this is a place worth revisiting.

A Culinary Adventure: From Shirley Temples to Steak Snafus Gather round, friends, for a tale of taste, temperament, and a dash of dry humor. My recent dining escapade was an unforgettable mix of highs and lows. Picture this: A welcoming ambiance, a server with an engaging international flair, and me, eager to treat myself and a dear chef friend from Austria. Our mood was as effervescent as the Shirley Temple I ordered Ontario style, of course, with Sprite, Grenadine, and orange juice. Alas, the delivery of my Temple was a bit...templed, with unexpected execution and an overabundance of ice. I graciously offered a humble lesson in glass-portion symphony, but the second rendition still missed the mark. Determined to sip and savor undeterred, I let it slide. Next came the calamari, which is notoriously tricky to perfect. Yet, much to our delight, their rendition was commendably crispy, earning them a gold star in our seafood-loving hearts. Then came my entrée: Gulf Shrimp & Steak, or as I like to call it, the Arches Special. The shrimp aced the texture test but bombed the salt portfolio it was like the chef had a vendetta against blood pressure. Still, it was palatable enough for me to soldier through. Vegetables on the plate were seasoned superbly, presenting a vibrant medley that danced on the palate, just enough to make one forgive the slightly exaggerated lemon zest in the potatoes. My friend handed it a pass, but I rather enjoyed the tangy surprise. Now, onto the pièce de résistance or not. The maple bacon-wrapped steak was a curious character in our culinary narrative. In my humble opinion, it seemed a misguided marriage on the plate. Steak purists like myself prefer our prime cuts to shine solo, unhindered by sweet distractions. I bravely voiced my dissatisfaction, yet the shrimp massacre was ultimately overshadowed by the unfortunate union of maple bacon and beef. The grand finale featured an unexpected twist: The owner herself swept onto the scene as I prepared to pay my dues. She bestowed upon me a narrative of her establishment s illustrious tenure, with a side serving of machismo-infused jest about my choice of drink. I chuckled a Shirley Temple suits any man who values flavor over convention. Despite her thinly veiled skepticism, I assured her my intention was not to evade the bill, but rather to acknowledge our delightful server and his global gastronomical wisdom with a well-deserved gratuity. In sum, my friend and I sought sustenance and critique, navigated some shark-infested dishes, and emerged with full bellies and spirited humor. As a fellow business owner who appreciates culinary candor, I believe in the value of feedback, whether bitter or sweet. Ill be returning for Ribfest, ready to rally more mouths and minds to the cause. Bon appétit, and cheers to future adventures with fewer hiccups and heartier laughs!

I just read the most recent review left by a fellow foodie and am shocked by his review. You are not a critic in New York but rather trying to have a good meal in a small town. The Arch is one of the best restaurants in the area and has been for decades. If you dont like their perfectly cooked and flavoured steaks or their staff and atmosphere I suggest you try elsewhere and let us enjoy this jem in Midland.

The dinner was good, a little salty for my liking. Although, I have been trying to reduce the intake recently. Lol!. My Ribeye Delmonico was cooked to order perfectly. However, it had a lot of fat, and I definitely wont be ordering that again. My spouse had the Pickerel, she enjoyed that. We shared a baked feta for an appetizer, which was very nice . I enjoyed a nice aperitif, whisky sour. And a glass of house red (Cab), very dry but full flavor. The letdown was my choice of dessert. I went with the Double Chocolate Cake $8. 1st, I think I got the $4 slice, 2nd, Im glad I got the $4 slice because it was stale from the fridge, ridiculous, in an atmosphere like this you serve fresh desserts only or none ar all please, even if you take a loss do not close out the meal with subpar nonsense. I did eat it to fulfill my sweet tooth.. BTW, there is no $4.00 slice. Service was professional and friendly staff are attentive. Would have given a better rating had the cake been better Parking: I found a spot fairly easy in front of restaurant.

If youre ever up here, the Arch Steak House has seriously some of the best steak I have ever had. I go to most places and I say, I could make that, here I wish I could make a steak like that

We were greeted and was told it would be about 2 minutes and would be seated. We were promptly seated and greeted by bus boy and then the waitress. We ordered drinks and shortly after our order was taken. The service was excellent and the meal was served in a very timely manner. Our meals were delicious. Staff were very friendly and we were so impressed with the bus boy and was he very engaging and it was only his second shift on New Years eve. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a dinner tonight at Arch and it has been a wholesome experience. Diego is an amazing host, he entertained us thoroughly and took great care of us. We ordered Archs favourite and Mediterranean new york steak. We enjoyed the meal and the appetizer. Saganaki definitely stole some attention in the house. Great job by the kitchen staffs and the servers.

Went here for a birthday celebration. Food was okay expected a bit more for the price point. Felt rather rushed threw our dinner only to have someone tell us we had to leave as there was people waiting. Spend $350 on dinner and you have a maximum of 2hrs to complete your dine in experience. Will most likely not go back.

My husband organized a surprise Mother s Day dinner for myself and his mother. We were a party of 5 (including 1 child). We drove 2 hours with a 4:30 pm reservation for dinner. We arrived a little early and were taken in at 4:00. Our waitress was wonderful. She was quick and understanding when we needed a little more time. We started with salads and I must say - the absolute best Greek and Caesar salads I have tasted! We were served delicious, warm rolls with butter. Between the adults we had shrimp, steak and schnitzel. Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I dislike cooked carrots immensely but somehow they were able to make them taste great!! Our waitress was attentive and quick to refill our drinks and take dishes away from the table. She spoke to us like she was an old friend :) I truly have nothing negative to say about this experience. Everything about it made it worth the 2 hour drive. We will definitely return! Thank you for helping make this one of the best Mother s Days ever!!

Parking: Nothing marked handicap Kid-friendliness: Have a kids menu. Food looked good Wheelchair accessibility: There are stairs into the restaurant. No ramp. Also the washrooms are down stairs, without any help bars in the washrooms.

Make reservations and youre seated quickly by the very cordial staff. Its a busy place. Bring a light sweater if youre seated next to an air vent. Great food, and plenty of choices except we didnt see any gluten/dairy free options. Expect prices to be a bit higher but its reflected in the quality and portions of your meal. Recommend.

Consistently five star

The restaurant is extremely dated, a steakhouse stuck in the 80s with plating and food presentation no better than what you would find at a Mr Greeks or Kelseys. While the food tasted good, when a chef cuts into your steak to check its temperature, you know you are paying fine dining prices for pub house quality. We were a table of 14, this restaurant cleaned house at a 6$ surcharge to upgrade ur salad to Caesar and the wait staff dont disclose the amount they just say its a chargeable upgrade. Overall disappointing experience. Fool me once!

The Arch is a classic steakhouse. The food is incredible as is the service. The only negative thing I have to say is that the interior decorating is dated. It fits the classic steakhouse theme I just would like it a bit more modern.

Had a great anniversary meal here. Starters were cheesy garlic bread and mozzarella sticks. They were fine, not amazing but a long way from bad. There were other starters that I would have preferred but we also had to satisfy our childrens choices. Mains, Ribeye Steak was cooked fantastically and was very enjoyable. Mediterranean Striploin, again was cooked as requested and very enjoyable. The kids fries were very happy with their grilled cheese however their fries were a little dry/powdery textured which drew some complaints from them. Baklawa for desert was amazing. Overall we were very happy with the meal but our feeling was more that this was a Greek influenced restaurant more than a Steakhouse so we would probably lean more to that side of ordering when we visit again. If the kids fries had been better this would have been a 5* experience for us. Parking: Whilst there is a free parking lot I can see it filling up fast, the restaurant seemed very popular and was packed at 1800 on a Wednesday night. Kid-friendliness: Kids loved seeing the flambe showpiece around the restaurant. Waiter was good with the children and listened to their orders.

Looked nice inside, parking is limited. Cant review much else because we didnt make reservations and they were full up. Slummed it at Kelseys instead.

I have been to this restaurant numerous times for special occasion birthday celebrations. It has always been fabulous. I would tell everybody what a great restaurant it was a little bit more pricey than most, but well worth it however, I attended there on Saturday with a reservation early and we were very rushed we felt like they just wanted to get us out as fast as they could to see the next person. It was not even busy yet, they brought the check when I was still eating dinner. It was my birthday they were told it was a celebration and my friend had to remind them after they brought the check we had the lamb chops. They were OK nothing special. I normally get the pickeral for dinner and I love it. It s fabulous , very disappointing with the service this time. Don t know if I will be raving about it or returning anytime soon for that kind of money.

Very poor experience, our experience was for a friends 60th Birthday and based on the price point of the meals the steak was full of grizzled and I ordered a baked potato with my meal only to have it substituted with an other style of potato with out being told first and given a option of my choice due to no baked potatoes. Other friends had under cooked scallops that they sent back to be cooked more then being told that the cook said they were cooked and she would not get sick . What ever happened to the paying customers decision on their food at these price points for meals.

Have been here twice. The first visit was very busy. Restaurant was very hot and food took a long time. No big deal. Likely a one off. Tried them again. Service was exceptional but the food is not everything I was expecting considering its reputation. I would give it about a 6.5/10.

Cooked to perfection, Four really good size chops. Comes with salad and bread but if you re really a big eater, order an app. Will definitely be ordering these again. Excellent Sat evg dinner, great service and food was amazing. Two souvlakis, two steaks. Will be back. Place was full and very noisy in case that matter to some. Value of meals was excellent.

Absolutely amazing my wife and myself did a motorcycle trip and spent the weekend in Midland and because of us being dressed in leathers one restaurant turned us away and you welcomed us with open arms. The food was fantastic service unbelievable sorry it took this long to post this but we haven t forgotten and will be planning to come back again very soon. Thank you again for your hospitality

The BEST EXPERIENCE AND SERVICE EVER, pulled together a menu and wine service in less than two weeks of planning for my wedding reception when covid restrictions lifted summer of 2021. This was the absolute best service I have ever seen and I come from a background of managing 2 5-star restaurants. We provided the dessert (they set it up), they pulled together an amazing spread of appetizers and brought in my favourite wines for me. Our favourite appetizer of the night was the Saganaki and they brought it out with a display of Fire and OPA!! So much fun, can t thank them enough for the great memories.

My friend had the scallop dinner and I a very nice sirloin steak dinner on our way north to go fishing. Food and service was excellent. We would definitely eat here again if in the area.

Had our 47th wedding anniversary dinner here tonight. We ordered the Filet Mignon for two. Wow! Cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth delicious, and good portion of foods. My compliments to the chef again, she did a wonderful job. Alex, thanks again for your service and that scrumptious Lemon Coconut sponge cake. Giving 5 stars because its the most I can give. Between the food, the service, and the wonderful family that has owned this restaurant for years I wish I could give 10 stars!

Decided to try The Arch after many years living in the area and not going. We were met by the owner, a very professional and polite young man that also served us. He was fun and attentive to our needs and made our dining experience all that much better. I ordered the rib steak and lobster and I have to say both were outstanding! Cooked perfectly and so tasty. My wife ordered the chicken souvlaki and loved her meal as well. We will definitely start frequenting this restaurant more often after such a great experience.

Went to dine with The Arch and can say, we were a bit disappointed from our previous experiences. To start, it was a hot day and their air conditioning did not even feel like it was working, so I mentioned it to our server who stated, it was on and working. To me, there is nothing worse than dining and the temperature in the dining room is making me perspire. We then had our bread and salad, that came as part of our steak dinners. I had the market salad and there was one cherry tomato and one slice of cucumber. The rest was all lettuce. When they brought our basket of bread (there were two small pieces??) Though the bread was delightful, we asked for more and felt a bit uncomfortable doing so. The steak we had was impeccable and the roasted potatoes and vegetables were perfect. Quite a pricey meal to say the least.......(one beer and one coke), do dessert and no appetizer. $150 including tip. Not sure if we will go back. We have been several times, but there are other places to consider that are not quite as expensive and you can dine in comfort and not be sweating through your entire meal.

Worst service Ive ever received. Steaks were served overcooked, and instead of apologizing and rectifying the problem, the owner came out and loudly berated me stating that they are the only good steakhouse in town and they dont need my business. I will NEVER return.

I really wish there was a minus setting here!!! I ate there 4 years ago and loved every second of it the service the food ot was perfect. This time around the server was rude and treated my group of 12 like we belong in a trailer park and Luke we had no right to be there!! It was gross!! The food was sub par at best and there was no effort put forward by anyone! My wife asked for everulyone to be served at once yet my children got served first, asked for water and even tho the server was there they were told to serve another table?!! The owners need to go and retire and stop taking thier displeasure outnon the customers!! Minus 10 rating....... dont waste your time nor money here ever!!

We came for a staff dinner tonight - we are a loud fun bunch and we re sorry for the guests that we were too loud for, truly. However, Stacey was freaking amazing and from one server/manager to the next she is absolutely incredible. To the kitchen staff well done team! Everything was exceptional and we enjoyed everything. The line up on Sunday night was out the door so reservations would be helpful im sure! But from The Dillon s team thank you so much for letting us experience your restaurant and staff and food. Wheelchair accessibility: It is not wheel chair accessible . There are about 5 or 6 steps by the entrance . The bathrooms are in the basement downsteep stairs about 12 or 13 ateps

Delicious food

An elegant place for some fine dining. The food was excellent, the service was amazing. However, what really baffles me is the lack of Canadian content on the wine list, there are fourty six wines available from twelve countries, including Canada, but sadly there are only two wines available from Canadian wineries. Ontario and British Columbia compete on a world class scale and win many Gold awards each year for our wines, Id like to see a lot more Canadian content on the wine list.

Had lovely service last night. The food was phenomenal. We had the Captains Plate and the Surf N Turf. Thank you for offering an outside dining option for the current situation in the world. We love supporting local and will return!

Our visit last Wednesday was very disappointing. We were here 2 years ago and were so impressed we said we would drive here again from mississauga just for dinner. Never again, this time was horrid. I paid $40.00 for a steak that was dry, black and tasteless. The service was extremely slow and when the server finally came and asked how everything was I was honest. She came back and said she spoke to the manager and they offered to deduct the cost of the steak and charge me for my rice veggies and salad. Not the point I came to have a nice dinner and nowhere near the case this time. Very disappointing the manager was aware of the situation and couldnt be bothered to even take the time and come to our table. Horrid dinner I had 4 bites of my steak and the rest went into the garbage. A complete waste of money...never again.

Bar none the best steak Ive ever had. Get the New York Strip, Mid Rare. Its so tender you wont even have to chew it. My wife and I will definitely be back again as soon as possible.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and it was fantastic!! The ambiance was friendly and warm. The service was wonderful and the food was beyond delicious. We ordered The Arch for 2 and everything was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back. We love supporting local, especially when it s this delicious!!

I cant believe Ive got driven by and missed going in. This is a traditional steakhouse with warm breads, salad, entree with sides. Excellent service, unrushed, overall pleasant environment. Im going again!

Beyond delicious and amazing service, I dont know one item I have tried here that is not extremely tasty. They go above and beyond its a family run business and they always make you feel like you are special and they are privileged to have you there. That is a dying breed in todays generation there is not a place I go that Im more then comfortable giving my money then hear. I would and will continue to highly recommend! You will never be disappointed this is a diamond in the rough if you will!
