Great place but we waited quite awhile for our food.

This is a hidden gem on Main Street, in Milton. The food is absolutely amazing, at an amazing price, definitely our new lunch place.

Very good food

Visited here on a Saturday, after visiting the market. Had a coffee, w Smoked Chicken Salad and Swt Potato Fries. The service was slow, but the food did not disappoint.

Very enjoyable atmosphere. Was able to enjoy a very tasty meal and enjoy visiting with my niece in a comfortable setting. Music was just right in the backgroun. Definitely my new go to

$4 for a can of soda is ridiculous

This place doesn t really stand out when walking or driving by but 100% give it a try. The food was amazing and prices were reasonable for the quality of food. Really nice staff too.

Wonderful Gem snuggled in the heart of Milton - Heres a hint for you, park in Carriage Square as you cannot park outside the Restaurant :)

The food was amazing. And the service was lovely. I did however wonder why customers had to order at the counter instead of a server taking the orders? Though cant wait to go again!

The food was good. Enjoyed the tomato soup. If you have food allergies, I wouldnt suggest going here.

Ordered at 12:08pm, did not get my food until 12:49pm, saw plenty of take out containers leaving as I sat and waited. The sandwich was mediocre, the soup of the day was water with some vegetables, zero flavour and seemed rushed. This place used to be a favorite of mine but it seems they ve gone the quantity over quality route. There must have been 10-20 take out containers in bags leaving as I sat there, some people even sat down with take out containers and ate before myself and company. I d suggest on busy days such as today you implement and no phone in order pickup between 11am-1pm in order to adequately provide a sandwich and soup in a timely manner to guest seated inside, 40+ minutes is ridiculous.

Ok so right off the bat, 5 star for the food. No denying that. maybe even 6. The only complaint i have about this place, despite being a customer for the past 3 years, would be the wait times. But then again, i also heard that they dont drop the sweet potatoes / fries until you arrive to pick up your order so that it remains crispy and fresh at the expense of your time. Catch 22 . nevertheless, their Philly cheese steak is one of the best best best Ive had. . You ought to give it a try! Anything these guys craft and carefully put together. The quality is definitely there, but man i wish it was just a tad faster to prepare. But i suppose good things comes to those who waits

One of my favourite spots in Milton. I shouldn t even post this because it ll become more well known and Too busy!? All food is great quality, portions and made in house. Very good soup. Calm and relaxed environment. Very friendly staff each of the multiple times I ve been.

We visited for the first time the other day and had the most fantastic lunch! The service was super friendly and we were borderline drooling from the amazing smell by the time our food arrived. Everything was hot and delicious! They also had some beautiful paintings by local artists for sale on the walls which I really enjoyed. Will definitely be back. Parking: Free municipal parking off Mary st.

The Roast Beef sandwich is actually my favourite sandwich I ve ever had. The hummus, avocado, red onion combo is killer. Highly recommend trying the roast beef sandwich with fries. Love it

Overall not a bad experience for a random walk in. Was a bit concerned with a place being completely empty at 3-ish pm. Man s restrooms can use some cleaning especially in light of place not being heavily attended. My wife had the Cesar salad and was offered a chicken add on. The good surprise - there was a fairly big piece of chicken meat on the plate while she expected some chicken bits mixed in the salad. The bad surprise - in the bill with that piece cost of $10. This made the Cesar salad a bit pricier than expected. I ve ordered the risotto which tasted good however clearly the rice was prepared ahead of time and felt a bit mushy with no crunch or whatsoever. Overall attentive service and clean environment however again the restaurant was not occupied so would be weird to not get attention.

Very friendly and accommodating staff and delicious food!

Just had lunch, and my big group was seated immediately. The staff greeted us with smiles and accommodated us right away. The food was very tasty and delivered promptly. The prices were reasonable and affordable for a family. Highly recommended.

We werent aware that you had to order at the counter at first. Once we figured this out, the rest was uphill. Food came quickly, and all 5 of us approved of the food quality Vegetarian options: Mediterranean sandwich on a ciaboto bun with a side of rosti potatoes.

Best small restaurant in Milton (or my town nearby where I live and travel from to get to it). Amazing sandwiches and soups, as well as crepes and the best thin-cut fries you will ever have including and outside of McDonalds. Ive been there 5 times in the past year so far after discovering it. Vegetarian options: Very good veggie options for sandwiches and wraps. Roasted Red Pepper soup is very good as its own meal.

Quiet evening dining with the wife. Country Ham sandwich with fries, and she had the Ultimate B.A.T with the soup of the day, which was a curry, pumpkin peach soup. Although I dont do spicy, my wife could stop praising the soup. Right off Main St. Busy but still quiet. The service is awesome as always. Thanks, and I will certainly recommend it to anyone asking for light and tasty meals.

Quiet and reserved location. Nothing fancy. A little different, you have to choose your options, pay for it and then you are served. Vegetarian options: Had the Mediterranean sandwich.really enjoyed it. Very well done. The sweet potato fries were exceptional. Parking: Free parking at the side of Chudleighs and behind the church.

Love their sandwiches with fries/soup/salad. Their homemade ketchup is excellent. Atmosphere is nice. Highly recommend the following sandwiches in order of most favorite first - BAT sandwich (bacon, avacado, tomato), smoked chicken salad sandwich, thanksgiving sandwich and rib steak sandwich.

Delicious food I love their sandwiches and their fries are so good! Vegetarian options: My mom is vegetarian, and she was able to find options for her! Dietary restrictions: Whenever I brought up my dietary restrictions, they were able to accommodate me.

Last week My 3 friends and I all had different meals but each praised their choice and gobbled their meal. My friend and I ordered smoked chicken and Thanksgiving sandwiches. We shared our choices. Honestly, I cannot say which was more delicious. Both were exceptionally tasty. Im already coming back next week with a different group of friends! What a treasure of a find!!

Terrific beef sandwich and awesome sweet potato fries. My friend was happy that they had gluten free bread so she could enjoy a sandwich as well! A very pleasant and knowledgeable server. Looking forward to going back soon.

Today my wife treated me to lunch she chose The Bistro , boy! Was I impressed from the server who took our order and the chef (owner) who prepared our meal very delicious was very impressed! I ll be making a pit stop there again Thank You again for a great afternoon lunch today Bistro staff!

Havent been here for 6 years but let me tell you, we were NOT disappointed in the food. Everything was exactly as we remembered it. That mac n cheese is to die for! The only thing disappointing was that there was no one else in there the entire time we were there.

This is possibly our favourite restaurant in Milton. <3 The gluten-free options rock too!! The food is delicious and FRESH and the service is always excellent. SO many options. You can tell that they care so much about the quality of the food, presentation and customer service. Cant beat this place - great value and were never disappointed. The food is super yummy. This is a small business that goes the extra mile and deserves our support. Highly, highly recommend! :)

First visit this week and was an incredible experience. Food was first class and the crab mac and cheese delivered beyond expectations. I have to say though......the host, Fabiana, stole the show. Because of her, my husband and I will be coming by more often. She was incredibly warm and friendly and made us feel like we were going to dinner at a family members home.

We waited almost an hour for food, and it wasnt even crowded. Not a good place if you have small children.

We had lunch at the Bistro on Main today. There were five of us and we all loved our meals. Great food and reasonably priced. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. They reserved a table for us and had no problem with us sitting and chatting for a couple of hours. Might have been longer. Will definitely return. Vegetarian options: Vegan options on the menu. Parking: Street parking as well as a parking lot close by.

Counting the numerous visits in not relevant really but this place is wonderful!! I LOVE the food so much!! They re well known for the homemade Mac n cheese but the steak sandwiches, stir fries, salads and beautiful savory & sweet crepes are incredible! John is the real deal and the proof is in the eating!! #1 on my list! Vegetarian options: To s of options for vegetarians, gluten free & vegan!

Really nice place! The staff are very kind and help with menu options. The sweet potato fries are an absolute favourite and they give enough sauce for the fries. I got a sandwhich that was supposed to have chicken in it, but when I got home the chicken was forgotten. The rest of the sandwhich still tasted really good! And the blueberry lemonade is great but there was a huge chunk of lemon in my cup, about 2/3rds of a lemon in there which was not apealing Im still coming back for that crab Mac n cheese, their menu is awesome!

Great food. Loved the seafood medley crepe and crab Mac n Cheese. Portions were good and friendly service.

We frequent The Bistro On Main fairly regularly. Every menu item weve tried has been delicious! The meals are consistently made, so we always know what to expect. My husband LOVES the Crab Grilled Cheese, and my favorite is the Smothered Beef Wrap with a side of Sweet Potato Fries, so good.

This week had delivery from Bistro on Main for the first time. Dined in before. Terrific food with awesome service. Will be ordering again for sure!

Oh. My. Gosh! This was my first time ordering from The Bistro On Main, and it will not be the last! The serving size of the Ham and Swiss Melt was huge, the flavours are incredible, and those little roastis are phenomenal! I cannot wait to order lunch from here again!

My daughter and I went there the other day to give ourselves a treat. My daughter had the crab mac and cheese, with a side of rostis, which was AMAZING. I had their chicken and wild mushroom crepes also with a side of rostis, which was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS @!!

Awesome food and fast services. Really impressed by their smoked chicken salad sandwich. Creamy and flavourful chicken salad is like nothing I ve ever had. Great place, would definitely come back!

I cant believe what I have been missing out on all these years living in Milton! What a gem of a restaurant. The food is great. I had the roast beef sandwich and I can honestly say it was the best sandwich I have ever had. Fresh ingredients, amazing side of Greek salad and delicious coffee. I look forward to returning and trying something new.

I ve never eaten better fries in my life! Such a great service, so so recommend going in! You should try those fries for yourself. I had sweet potato ones, my partner had regular both fantastic!

Loved this place! Its small and cute with friendly staff who were really knowledgeable about the gluten free options. They offer a fair amount of gf and vegetarian options and the food is delicious. I had the gf Mac and Cheese and it was the tastiest Mac and Cheese Ive had at a restaurant in years. It was very rich and creamy and even the side salad was delicious. Normally I pick at side salads but this one had big flakes of parmesan and prosciutto chips and was delicious. I definitely recommend this place.

What I ordered was tasty. The first two items my girlfriend asked for on the menu were not available. I would have rated it a 4 if not for the waitress hovering over me at 7:45 so she could leave exactly at 8 when they closed.

I went here specifically because I saw they offered gluten free sandwiches. I ended up not being able to eat the bun as it was incredibly stale. In general there s lots of sandwich options for a casual lunch, but nothing special.

Own of my favorite places to go for lunch in Milton the food is amazing. They serve good gluten free options, I prefer the gluten free loaf over the buns. Sweet potato fries are fantastic.

We are very close by so we go to Bistro almost every day. The people here are funny and friendly, even if they do come and go occasionally. The owner Jon is very friendly and always looks out for me when I come by. They food here is amazing, and I havent found anything I dont like yet, and they have fairly decent prices. Nothing bad to say about this place, and thank you guys for being in Milton!

Great sandwiches. I got there during the post lunch break so my service wasnt the best bus fully satisfied with my meal regardless.

No one to greet you, slow service, food was brought out to each person at very different time gaps. Food was not bad.

I have been to the Bistro many times for lunch. This is not a fancy place but the food is always unique and very tasty. I have never had a problem with anything I have ever order. My favourite dishes are the Chicken and Mushroom Crepes or the Thanksgiving Sandwich, both are delicious.

The best. Small cozy and the best food. Served hot, fresh with prompt friendly service. Our favorite spot to eat.

Great food and great staff. The place was quite busy this rainy evening but the food was worth the wait. The crepes are amazing, and the stir fry tofu with egg noodle was fantastic. Coffee was splendid as well.

Been visiting The Bistro for years and have never been disappointed, amazing. One of the best places to get quality meals in Milton. A slightly bigger dining room would be a nice change. Huge thanks to the owner and employees for being so consistently awesome.

I get lunch from the Bistro at least once a week. I think that their quality of food is quite high for a Bistro and they have quite a nice variety of lunch sandwiches which you can get with fries, sweet potato fries or a soup. The sandwiches at the Bistro are very well made and tasty. If I had to make one suggestion it would be to keep the prices of the sandwiches where it is right now or lower slightly. If you were to order most of the sandwiches with a soup you are looking at paying around $15+ after tax. Little bit over priced for a quick lunch sandwich and side. Due to the good quality and good service I cannot bring myself to remove a star for the price at this time.

Amazing! Ham and Swiss Sandwitch is amazing. Sweet potato fries are so well done and served with a beautiful chipotle sauce. So delish. My new favorite!

The food is great, but if you go in to order be sure to see if there are other (very long) orders ahead of you (you will see receipts of orders just behind the counter) . Do not expect them to tell you until after you order and pay that you will have to wait an hour and a half for a simple sandwich even if there are customers already eating and your sandwich takes 5 mins to make. Call ins take priority obviously. And they never apologize for the wait time.

We have eaten here a few times. The food is good and the establishment is clean. We like to support local small buisiness. Its too bad that Milton is being over run by fast food chains. Each visit however we do witness loud arguments among the staff as well as some very sarcastic tones when staff speaks to or about customers when they come in. Also the menu is a little over priced for many items.

Mac and cheese and caesar salad are amazing!!! The place is small but quaint. The girl at the cash is the reason Im giving 4 stars instead of 5. She was not impressed that guests were coming in close to closing time and was vocal about it. Kind of ruined the ambience. The owner was the opposite so kind and pleasant.

Excellent little find in Milton!

I was drawn to this place by their brunch menu and how cheap the prices seemed for the extravagance of the menu items. When I arrived I was surprised to find I was the only one there (10:30 AM on a Sunday) - but it picked up a little bit later on. I ordered the smoked duck breast eggs benedict (only ten dollars) and it was delicious. My only complaint is that it didnt come with any sides (except a small fruit cup prior to the main dish). A rich dish but I still felt I needed a side of some sort (hash brown perhaps). My friend ordered the greek frittata and it looked awesome - very hearty. I tried the little potato fritters that came on the side and they were tasty, too. Would definitely return to try some other dishes!

The food is amazing! Always a favourite, great prices for fresh, fabulous food. I highly recommend the Crab Mac and Cheese with a side Pear and Brie salad... yum!!!

I would give this place six stars if I could. Ive never had a bad experience, the food is spectacular and the staff is always friendly. My absolute favourite is the smoked chicken salad sandwich, but Ive tried many of the sandwiches and wraps on the menu and theyre all amazing. I normally call ahead and get my food to-go, but Ive eaten in a couple times, and its a very cute little place. Would definitely recommend.

The Bistro on Main has been extremely supportive of the performing arts in Milton. They host a monthly open mic for our students on Saturdays and have been fantastic to work with. The service is excellent and the food is AMAZING. Try the B.A.T sandwich or the beef dip!!

Pretty cool little place, great menu.

Lovely staff, clean, havent had a bad meal there yet. I order lunch for pick up about once a month. They also donate to the local hospital each year, which just makes it even easier to feel good spending money there. Try the B.A.T. Delicious!
