Grill Daddy in Milton

Despite having enjoyed my dining experiences there with excellent food and recommended this place to friends, I was greatly disappointed to discover that the same cant be said about how it operates. The owners seems to have no problem running the business unethically! They find it acceptable to take advantage of young people (who dont know the labour laws) by hiring them to work without pay. This is under the guise of training. Unfortunately, I wont be eating there again, nor recommending to anyone I know!

Review for Grill Daddy on Main Street I recently visited Grill Daddy on Main Street for breakfast, and unfortunately, my experience was underwhelming. It was my first time there, and while the place seemed fairly busy, it left a lot to be desired in terms of value and quality. The menu was decent, offering a variety of breakfast staples. However, the food itself was just okay nothing special to justify the high prices. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles, which was $25, and was disappointed to see the chicken breast cut into, seemingly to check if it was cooked. This is not only visually unappealing but also unprofessional when there are better methods available, such as using a meat thermometer. Adding to the disappointment, I was charged $4 for a small (2 oz) side of powdered premix Knorr hollandaise sauce. This felt unjustified, especially given the overall pricing and the quality of the meal. The service was fine, but nothing stood out to compensate for the lackluster food and high prices. Overall, I left feeling like the experience wasn t worth it. If you re looking for breakfast in the area, I d recommend trying the spot across the street instead. Sadly, I won t be returning to Grill Daddy.

Visiting this place for the first time and it was amazing. It will my by next go to Spot for breakfast. Abi was our server and she was great. Keep up the good work to the team at Grill Daddy.

Thank you to the owner Sri for making my birthday celebration very special and memorable. I went here with my boyfriend October 16th the day after my birthday and we enjoyed the food and service so much that the next day we came back with our friends who loved the food so much!! Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great brunch spot.

Store was not busy at all. Ordered french toast with bacon. I asked if they cook the bacon crispy or is it soft when served ( I prefer crispy ) Waited roughly 25-30 mins for it to be delivered to my table. Food cold and soft under cooked bacon, Asked server if I could get the plate heated and my food to be re-heated. When my food was brought back to my table, the plate wasnt even hot nor was the food , and still soft bacon.

Delicious brunch! If going on a Saturday, go early or expect to wait as its quite popular.

Had the steak breakfast and it was an amazing steak. Hot to the last bite, juicy, tender and exactly how we requested. First time there & already planning return visit. Highly recommend.

Showed up today with my toddler and very pregnant wife and saw an open table, was denied the table because there was a wait list and nobody else was around at the moment...instead of giving the table to a very pregnant women who should have priority either way, the server decided they would call people on a wait list who may have already left to eat somewhere else instead. Absolutely disgraceful treatment of a pregnant women.

Hands down the best breakfast place in Milton. The food is amazing. It always hot, fresh, and delicious ( homefries are a must). You need to experience this breakfast place. Kid-friendliness: Serves are really good and accomodating with the little one. Wheelchair accessibility: They have accessibility buttons and have a incline.

My sister enjoyed a wonderful lunch with her son LJ for his 19th birthday and they both had a fantastic time. The service was incredible and the food was delicious and the staff went above and beyond to make his birthday special. It goes without saying that they recommend this place highly to everyone they meet.

My absolute favourite brunch spot in the world. I have been raving about it for years. The Eggs Florentine are the best I ever had, and I have tried many different restaurants.

If I have breakfast in milton it s usually Grill Daddy or Troys Dinner. Today is was Grill Daddy, usually its lined up out the door, today maybe 3 tables occupied. The breakfast special that caught my eye was the Crispy Chicken, Waffle and eggs for $14.99. When the waitress took our order, I found out it was only a half waffle. so I asked if i could substitute the eggs for extra half waffle (to get a whole waffle) she said no. I didnt think it was an unreasonable request. But was told I could order the Waffles and crispy chicken separately, which I ended up doing. which ended up costing me $21 + tax, $6 to get half a waffle. It s pancake mix and water, my bill with tip was over $30. I wonder why the place is empty, that few ounces of batter cost you two customers and I hope this review turns away few more. Dont get me wrong, the food is always good, the service is mediocre, you alway have to ask for coffee, very rarely is it offered. But making your loyal customers happy should be a priority, didn t feel like it today. Adios So after writing my review I read some of the others. The business takes no time respond to any reviews good or bad. Again shows me that this small business doesn t care what the customer s say. Speaks volumes.

Yumyum I had the seafood skilt some of the best food for a small restaurant Im from kingston Ontario so the chance of us coming back are slim o the rest is in Milton not far from Toronto thanks guys

Friendly Staff. No reservations available so wait times can be up to 35-40 min during busy times but worth the wait. Food is incredible!

My wife and I had heard great things about Grill Daddy and I am pleased to say they were all true. Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and the back of house prepared me one of the best breakfasts I ve had outside of ones cooked by my grandmother. The front of house is also superb! They re friendly, professional, and contribute to the pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend Grill Daddy and will certainly be returning soon.

I cant believe I waited so long to try this place. I ordered the house skillet without hollandaise sauce, I found the home fries to be a bit on the salty side but as a whole, the meal was delicious. The meal also came with a delicious fruit bowl, filled with blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, apples, pineapple and banana, much better tasting than the piece of two of old fruit you get at most breakfast places. My husband had peameal bacon and eggs. We will definitely be returning.

10/10 WOULD GO AGAIN!! Grill daddy is amazing and the food was some of the best breakfast food I have had. Our server was extremely sweet and attentive and made accompdations when we asked for them. I had a cinnamon apple French toast which was perfect. Just note, on the weekends it is extremely busy (because its the best breakfast food ) so make sure you get there pretty early for less wait time.

Great place for breakfast! Cute little restaurant on Main Street with a parking lot beside. The food was great and decently priced. Our waitress was very pleasant. The restaurant is smaller but we were still comfortable. Just expect to wait especially on the weekends. Definitely would recommend if youre looking for breakfast or brunch in Milton.

Love everything about this place. My girls will not go anywhere else if they are not open!

Rude staff and they gave us a table to sit beside the bathroom when they had better spaces available. Secondly the table was also made of steel and a spare one which was not a wooden table like all other tables in the restaurant. The waitress was very rude, she took our number and said, wait for 30 min or less and we will call you as soon as any table is available and if you dont pick up the call we will move on. Never going back again.

One of the best homefries ive had in a while. Not dry and very tasty. Could get very busy on the weekends and the place is not big. Service was good. Im a big fan of french toasts, but this one was just alright. My son liked the waffle. Size S for drinks was really on the small size. Great to try once, not too sure if ill be back.

Our family had a great time during our first visit at this charming breakfast restaurant in the old Milton! The menu selection is extensive and the food was well presented and delicious! The place was very busy which is a good sign! Service was a bit slow but it was well worth the wait! I highly recommend you to try out this place!

If you ask for changes they make them for you and dont tell you. I will not go back to this place. Food is over priced and restaurant is freezing, I had to wear a winter hat, sweater and jacket to a little warm. I ordered 4 eggs over easy and 3 came with the yolks popped and cooked, asked for the bacon well done it was not and the home fries were so salty they were unbeatable.

Our family visited Grill Daddy it was a wonderful experience. Kim was outstanding very helpful & personable. Food was amazing. Egg Benedict were fantastic. My salmon was scrumptious. All servers so pleasant and attentive. Such a family owned restaurant in Milton. Wheel chair accessible.

The food and service was really good. Their home fries are unbelievable - taking out a star as the wait was over 45 mins and they ran out of waffles! :(. Server was good and explained they had a large group and are short staffed so plan for buffer time if you are going here.

THE BEST breakfast spot!!! Servers are super nice and food portions are hugeeee with reasonable prices. Always leave feeling happy and satisfied.

Great lil breakfast place. Granted it was a Sunday morning so the place was slammed so we had to wait. Not a problem in cute lil Downtown Milton - we walked for coffee and came back in time. Service was understandably slow considering the amount of people there but worth the wait. BEST home fried potatoes on the side I ve ever had. Delicious seasoning. The Healthy eggs Benny was yummy too and the asparagus was cooked to perfection.

Upset about the lack of vegetarian substitutions in a menu where 90% of the savory breakfasts have meat. I had to pay the same price for a meal which lacked meat. Aside from that everything was alright. Vegetarian options: Pretty much all savory breakfasts have some form of meat in them and they DO NOT offer substitutions.

Honestly highly unimpressed with this restaurant, the restaurant wasn t even busy and our food came out cold, service was despicable, my fiancée asked for raw sugar and by the time we actually got it his coffee was cold. There was people that came in after us who were served faster than us ! We waited for 40 minutes just to get cold food! Nobody asked us how our food was, nobody offered us another drink once we finished ours. Would not recommend if you like hot food and good service, waste of money ! Sunset Grill has way better service not to mention HOT FOOD!

This business is absolutely ridiculous as they do not answer their phone to place a pick up order, and no longer have uber eats, skip the dishes, etc. If you cannot service your community accordingly that needs to be communicated with a dine in option only.

Who closes at 2 pm for lunch? The exterior sign says All-day Breakfast. My friend and I drove from Oakville to be turned away abruptly. The place was empty.

Food was amazing but service left more than a little to be desired. Group of 3, were seated quickly, got coffee quickly, then nearly 20min for someone to take our order. Made it very clear that one person in our group had a severe allergy to an ingredient. Server took note, said no problem. Waited 20min for food. We start eating, friend notices the allergen is in her food. We let server know. She apologizes and offers to bring more food. We explain this is a serious allergy and friend could be very sick. She leaves and only comes back to bring our bill. No reduced food costs or other offer for a very serious mistake. The food was amazing, I dont mind paying at all. But something more than oops, my bad for a serious mistake would have been nice. With that, on top of huge wait times - not a great experience. Parking: Lots of free parking

Been here for the first time. The food was excellent. Service was quick. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Cozy neighbourhood. I got the vegetarian omlette. The portion was huge, had leftovers. Vegetarian options: There are waffles, french foast, eggs/omlettes. Many different options for vegetarians.

Some of the best home fries I ve ever had. Fine breakfast options all around and friendly service. Unfortunately, their policy on ketchup, an essential for any breakfast joint, (serving it in packets as opposed to providing condiments per table) keeps them from a perfect score.

I cannot say enough about Grill Daddy. The food is so fresh and full of flavour. Pricing is reasonable for the quality you are getting. The food often takes time to come out but it is well worth the wait considering you are getting freshly prepared meals. I highly recommend and cannot wait for my next visit.

This is a hidden gem in Milton! Great options for breakfast/brunch. This is located in the downtown area, so street parking can be a bit tricky. There are paid lots nearby though. Its a bummer that they do not have a patio, but the quality of the food makes up for any downside of their location. Highly recommended if you are looking for a new place to enjoy quality breakfast!

Waited an hour after ordering for our order. The restaurant had two customers in it, other than us. We asked the waitress twice about the order and she said it would only be a few minutes. We left after one hour.

Terribly disorganized and slow! The food is good, but not worth the wait in my opinion. We went a month ago and waited almost an hour for our food. Tried again today and sat for 15 minutes without even a drink order being taken. We ended up leaving when we saw another table had their order taken before us even though they arrived 10 minutes after us.

After seeing all the great reviews I was super excited to try this place. Went for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. There were customers but it wasnt super packed as it would be on a weekend. Sadly the wait for our food was super long, about 55 mins although our server did come to update us and check in twice which was very nice of her. As a courtesy, they took off coffee from our bill so we appreciate that. Now for the food, we ordered the vegetable skillet and the chicken and waffles. The vegetable skillet was 10/10! Everything was delicious. For the chicken and waffles, eggs and potatoes were great but the chicken was not seasoned at all. We couldnt even taste the salt. I honestly think they just forgot to season it. While we enjoyed some of the food, personally, we wont be going back.

Today I went with my 2 year old daughter for the first time. Great spot nice and clean and service was very friendly. Food was very tasty like home made. Ordered breakfast wrap with no tomato and kids breakfast pancakes with eggs and sausage. No home fries and tomato on my wrap but still they wouldn t give a few pieces of fruit for my 2 year old. I understand they don t want people to get used to substituting what s on the menu but she is 2. Otherwise nice place and good food Kid-friendliness: Would like to see TINY bowl of fruit offered with every kids meal

Food is great but takes way too long to come out for breakfast. Plus its usually a 20-30 minute wait for a table. Server tells you that it will be 30 minutes for food to come out, so they are very transparent, but this is every time we have come here now. Didnt use to be like this, so maybe the influx of people ordering take out has created the problem. I love supporting local but its really insane to go to breakfast and it turns into a 2 hour trip. It takes less time to go somewhere for a full dinner. They should create the online wait list like Pur and Simple have adopted, this would at least cut down on the frustration of having to show up only to find out you need to wait 30 minutes to get a table.

This was an amazing experience! We didn t have a reservation and walked in. They had a wait list but thankfully we were first on the list! So we just went to the nearby town hall and hung out. After getting the call we went back in and were seated. The food took a while to come out, but the server was really friendly and accommodating! Food was 10/10 and we both got juice which tasted great. Would highly recommend for the vibes and the food!

Took about an hour to get 4 plates of breakfast. The tables ordering 10 minutes after us, got their food 15 minutes before us. The waitress was very nice and very attentive. 4 waitresses on, no visible lack of staff, just extremely sluggish.

Delicious brunch. Had the apple cinnamon waffle special and greatly enjoyed it. Only note is that they no longer have a patio as it was claimed for parking. We stopped in because of reviews mentioning a patio, but the meal definitely made up for any brief disappointment.

I used to love this place, but the wait is just too long. We waited 45 minutes to get our food, which for a breakfast, bacon and eggs kinda place is too long in my opinion. If you have the time and aren t incredibly hungry when first arriving, this may be an alright spot for you, but if you re looking to be in and out in an hour or less, go somewhere else

Great breakfast! I brought my two boys and myself and we loved the portions. We also brought home some quesadillas for my wife on our way home as they were transitioning from breakfast to lunch. Limited seating so the only issue is getting a seat. Had to wait 18 minutes and they called our cell to indicate they had our table ready Server awesome, food awesome, !

First time here brought a friend for her birthday I understand stuff happens but waiting 1 hour for food is crazy and not to even get anything taken off the price. We were not informed till close to the end that they had a big take out order. I personally won t go back. Could not imagine being there with my children for breakfast and waiting that long.

Average at best. The pancakes were on par with Aunt Jemima. Took 50 mins for them to pump out 3 pancakes and a skillet. The fruit was really fresh and the best part of the meal.

Been here a few times now and the food is always so fresh and delicious!! Great little place for breakfast! Had the strawberry nutella French toast and it was amazing. The homefries are crispy and flavourful.
