Troy's Diner Inc in Milton

A Milton institution. Diner atmosphere and great stuff to look at on the walls. Service was great, and the kitchen produces food at a very quick rate. My breakfast was hot, tasty, and the breakfast sausages are huge! This is a must try! I will be back with my family for lunch.

3 of us enjoyed a lovely meal during our last visit and are planning to go again tomorrow! We love this place and it s a must for us when in the area. Food is fabulous and the prices right! Breakfast foods are a favourite of ours but the menu is full so looking forward to trying other items!!! Keep up the good work.

I went with my three children we waited 30 min after ordering to be told that out order got lost didnt even get a comp. Wont spend my money here.

Ordered a Reuben sandwich and it was just okay. On line the price was $18.95, on the menu it was $21,95 on the bill it was $24.95. ?? A thimble sized side of gravy was $2.99. Really Troy?

What an amazing experience. The Coca-Cola memorabilia was truly spectacular. The food portion, price, and quality were perfect. Service was amazing. TROYS was recommended to us by a client, so happy we asked where to go for breakfast!

The diner has an excellent vibe and atmosphere , very old school diner feel . The food was very underseasoned and underwhelming for the price point . Our server was absolutely amazing but service and atmosphere can only do so much when the food is not great . I ordered a chicken wrap and my partner ordered a troys special. For 65 dollars after tip It felt more like a rip off then a great value . The chicken in the wrap was extremely dry , the wrap was a 12 inch wrap prior to them wrapping it into a 6 to 7 inch wrap clearly because Its not fully loaded to a 12 inch wrap worth of food . The curly fries were a nice touch but lack a better variety of dipping options . I am disappointed with the food and likely would not return as there are many other places with better food and similar service levels . Thanks Matt

I ve lived in Milton for 7 years now and I ve been to Troy s a few times. It s quite popular and seems to have a hold on the town as the local breakfast place. The owner does charity work, especially around the holidays which is awesome. It s kitschy with lots of Coca Cola merchandise and gives 50s diner vibes which is cool. The service is great albeit they do a bit too much upselling. This place loves up charges. The food is fine but my issue is the value for money isn t there. It s pricey compared to other breakfast joints and the food is just okay. My friend and I ordered a BLT sandwich with curly fries ($3.99 extra), the traditional breakfast, a coffee, and a coke. It came to $45.00 before the tip. That s a lot to me. I was going to order chicken fingers (I have the taste of a 6 year old) but they were $19.99. I asked if they make them themselves and the server told me they re just frozen chicken tenders. That s a wild price for frozen chicken tenders and fries. TL;DR food is okay but it s a pricey for what it is.

Great Food, Great Service, and Great Troy!

Went here with my wife on Saturday. We went about half an hour before they closed and they were willing to serve us. We both ordered burgers and let me tell you they were unreal! The flavour was spot on, food was fresh and service was great! Cool decor, very retro. Highly recommend checking this place out in Milton!

Troys is a great diner. The decor is fabulous! We ordered the Peameal Bacon Sandwich with fries, as well as the Chicken Philly Sandwich with a side Cesar Salad. Both were very good, with some left over to take home, because of the generous portions. I would recommend Troys for a nice family friendly meal. With great service.

Not inexpensive but good value due to large portions. Six of us had brunch Saturday at 10.30am. Busy but not crowded then. Meals were delicious, service was excellent. Diner type decor with many Coca Cola artifacts. Lots of parking across Main St. and a small lot in front of the door. Parking: A small lot in front of the door but best for small cars. Large lot across the street. Cross the road carefully!

Fantastic hidden gem in the town of Milton. Very friendly staff and food was delicious. One of the top breakfast places in the West end. A must visit if you like old time diner breakfast and comfort food places. Shakes are out of this world goodness. Will definitely be going back

Went for brunch on Fathers Day, so naturally expected to wait longer than usual. While in line, Troy greeted and chatted with each guest that was next in line. His stories entertained and made the wait enjoyable! As always, the food tasted great and the portion size was healthy! The service was prompt, friendly and accurate! Its hard to put into words just how much I enjoy going to this place. The food is great (the eggs benny OMG!) and this whole place is a feast for the eyes as well!! Such a cool place!! Have been here a few times now. Troy s Diner is definitely my go-to place for Liver/Onions. Nobody can beat his recipe for this. Meatloaf is excellent along with many breakfast dishes. Troy has awesome waitresses that make you feel at home when talking, serving meals, etc.

Pros: - server was nice - decor is interesting (if that s your thing) Cons: - serving sizes very small - food poorly cooked. Breakfast potatoes were like mush, and the English muffin was somehow cold and floppy. - Overpriced: prices have increased tremendously $17.99 - $24.99 for potatoes, eggs and other breakfast foods? I m someone that doesn t mind paying a pretty penny for a good meal. However at these prices, the quantity needs to increase or the quality needs to. Save yourself a buck, or a sub par meal and dine elsewhere. Restaurant owners need to take accountability. If your Increasing prices, while minimizing your serving sizes and food quality, you are gauging customers.

The service was good, staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is retro/vintage which is cool, but our classic burger and buffalo chicken sandwich left something to be desired. The best part was the funnel cake we ordered so I can at least recommend the desserts!

Had the western omelette and it was tasty, but I found the prices quite high for what you get. Four of us had basic breakfasts with coffee and a juice and it was $100. I have to say if you are a coke fan they have quite a bit on display.

My son, daughter and myself went to Troy s for a late lunch. We ordered a back bacon sandwich with home fries with a coke. A hotdog with curly fries and an ice tea and the Italian sandwichs with fries and an ice tea. We also had a chocolate milkshake and a side of gravy ( which was the size of a sample cup that you get from McDonald s to put your ketchup in. That cost $2.99 or 3.99). Our waitress was wonderful and so was the food. When she brought us the bill I almost feel off my chair. The bill was almost $93.00. Plus we gave her a tip and the bill came up to $111.00. Unfortunately we will not be going back there anymore.

Theres a basic standard of customer service that is not met here. Instead this is what you get: No greeting when you come in, no eye contact, no response from the server when you say something. I would speak to her and she would not respond or acknowledge! This was shocking, I have never encountered such a thing in a restaurant.

The quantity was decent enough to share among two people. The service was really really good. The decor of the diner is coca cola themed and looks like a place from the old times. This was a lovely place in terms of decor and staff. But honestly, the food was sub par. The gravy used taseted like that Heinz canned gravy, my kids and I couldnt finish our meals becaused of that. We had pretty basic clubhouse and fries meals, so dont base it on that, because I hear the breakfast is good. We will be back to try again when in Milton :-)

Before I begin writing a review on my dining experience at Troys Diner, I would like to stress the fact that I never take the time to do so. In fact, having owned a restaurant myself I understand the challenges faced with running a business in the food service industry. I hated reading any unsatisfactory reviews by people who have no idea of what it takes to please everyone all the time. It cant be done. But I can take the time to write a congratulatory review. I am happy to do so in this case. My friend and I were heading from Guelph to Milton yesterday and he suggested we stop at Troys diner for breakfast. Having never eaten there before or anywhere in Milton for that matter, I agreed. When we arrived we parked directly across the street where there was a huge parking lot. We entered the restaurant and were greeted immediately. Our waitress had 12 other customers at the time and this was an off peak hour at 9:45 am. I appreciated the fact that she was so quick to greet us as she was the only server on that early. The ambiance was quite unique especially if you liked Coca Cola novelty items. I thought that was pretty cool myself. She had a jug of coffee before we even asked. That is the sign of a good server. The menu was extensive so I asked her what she would recommend. She suggested the all day breakfast for $5.99. I asked her what it consisted of. She replied, 3 eggs, mini grilled potatoes, bacon with toast and jam. I added a side of sausage just incase I was still going to be hungry. No need for that. I was quite impressed with the portion sizing. The bacon consisted of 3 pieces with almost no fat at all. i tried getting through it all because the sausages were quite large as well. The eggs were not even remotely soggy. everything was cooked to perfection and arrived in a very timely fashion. As far as pricing goes I did pay extra for the side of sausage..The coffee was $3.69 which of course included refills. Par for the course at a decent sit down restaurant anywhere. My bill was $18 when the taxes were included. Tipping was an option and I tipped 25%. Because it was worth it. There are plenty of bars and restaurants that have a tip included even if the service or food was below par. All and all this was a very pleasant experience and I would give it a 5 star review. I am looking forward to returning and trying out another one of there menu items.

We were taking a short trip from Toronto today for a hike at the Bruce Trail and the Limehouse, and at the end of the day, Google Map recommended me this location based on the factors I had defined to eat. Good job, Google Map! Great recommendation! I cant tell you enough how gorgeous this diner is! The vibe is fantastic, servers are absolutely friendly, welcoming & caring, and the food is awesome! My picky eater son finished his whole Finger Chicken and Waffle-Milkshake! The quality of the food is incredible, the portion is generous, and the prices are reasonable. When you enter this family restaurant, you feel like you are stepping into a museum and and the old pictures and antiques covering the walls and shelves fill you with so much love and attachments! If you ask me for the first 2 reasons why, as a Torontonian, I love Milton, my answer is: Stunning Nature & Troys Diner! Highly, highly recommended!

Tried Troys Diner for the first time with a group of friends and loved it. We had different omelettes, a Canadian skillet, a Traditional Breakfast and even one avocado toast. All were superb. Lets be realistic, its breakfast. Had the Montréal smoked eat Benny and the girlfriend had regular eggs benny. They typical benny, nothing to write home about. The milkshakes however are fsntastic. The only real downfall I see to this establishment are the prices, theres no need for breakfast for two to almost come out to 50.00. Eggs are not supposed to be that expensive. 3/5 overall.

A none assuming restaurant face outside, but when you step inside, you are tansported into a feeling of the 80s -90s ish of CokeCola parafanalia. Its CokeCola signs and things all around you. We went in for brunch and they had a special on Cesars and Mimosas for$5.00 so we order 1 each. Food was tasty and portion sizes were just right. Washroom facilities was clean with no smell. Staff and service was good, didnt over engage but made sure you felt you could get their attention anytime. They get busy quick so there can a bit of a wait when you arrive during peak times. Definitely recommend anyone to try them out!

My husband and I found this place on a google search whim. We re headed to Detroit from Brampton and I m so glad we stopped here! Our server Jenna was incredible! Super friendly and honestly makes you feel like family and that you re her top priority (even when the restaurant is full!!) the food is delicious but to be completely honest, JENNA made the whole dining experience top notch! If you go, ask for JENNA !

I was very excited to try this place because I love diners, but was very disappointed with my experience. Service was fine, but the food. My scrambled eggs had white in it and my guess would be it was cracked in the pan and stirred around till cooked. The sausage was meh. The Philly steak was tasteless and the onion with it were undercooked, which doesnt give you that lovely flavour. For 18.99 it was vastly underwhelming. What took the cake though was my sons kids burger. Sliders are bigger than this. And the fries were very few. Poor kids reaction was, Look mummy, I can eat this burger in one bite. Hes 8. The pricing does not match the quality of food or the portions.

From the moment we stepped in, the warm ambiance took us back in time with its delightful old-school diner charm. Our waitress, Ashley, deserves a standing ovation for her exceptional service. She went above and beyond to make my daughter feel like a birthday queen. Adding sparkles to her pancakes and milkshake was an special touch that lit up her face with joy. Speaking of the food, it was simply fantastic. From the pancakes to the milkshakes, everything was prepared with care and tasted delightful. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone in the area. Whether it s a special occasion or just a craving for good food in a great atmosphere, this diner is a must-visit. Seems like a greasy spoon that locals swoon over simply because it s local. Either we got duped by the reviews, or this is really a breakfast and burgers joint and we shouldn t have ordered anything else. I got the smoked meat sandwich on rye for $20 with onion rings. Onion rings were fresh and good, but the sandwich came out on white wonder bread instead of rye, the meat was dry, and it was all piled to the middle of the sandwich to make the cross section look impressive but the back half of the sandwich turned to just bread pretty quick. Not worth the $20. Since the shakes seemed to be a specialty we tried one, but were pretty disappointed right away. We thought for all the classic vibe we d be getting a classic shake recipe, but the pile of whipped cream on top was just that fake whipped topping that tastes, well, fake. Server was nice but didn t seem to know how to deal with concerns or issues with our order being raised. When we asked for a discount due to the issues they gave us one which was good, but we had to ask. All the reviews we read were glowing, but like, obnoxiously so. I don t know if people just really want to sing praises because it s a local spot and Milton only has a few of those options to choose from, so there s a level of romanticism to it, but it kinda seems that way. Maybe the breakfast and burgers are great, but I don t think I ll be back to find out.

I payed $42 before tax for two classic chocolate milkshakes, I assumed before ordering the price would be reasonable. The price for the milkshake was not on there menu or on there site. I should have asked for the price before ordering but still why would you not put the price for one of the most expensive items on the menu?

The service was fantastic ! The food was served in a timely manner and was well made as well. It was a bit pricey though, especially the milkshake, so just prepare yourself before you come ! Nonetheless, I would go back as it was such a nice experience with both the service and food!

Classic diner vibe with friendly & attentive service in a space adorned floor to ceiling in Coca-Cola memorabilia. They do monster shakes and they do not disappoint when it comes to impact. I had myself a bacon cheeseburger and it was fresh off the grill and very satisfying. Their onion rings were top notch too. As befitting a spot dedicated to Coke - they had bottomless refills on pop, which was appreciated.

I have no idea what has happened to this place. The prices have gone way up, yet the portions are much smaller. I got the eggs Benedict and the eggs were super tiny, barely any hollandaise sauce on it and I had 9 pieces of potatoes. Literally 9 small pieces of potatoes! I was still hungry when I left! Not worth it for 19 bucks! I used to love this place, but have no intentions of coming back again after today s experience.

Cute little diner filled with Coca Cola memorabilia. Feels very old school mom and pop type. Food was great and the staff was very kind.
